I didn't have any ink except for black and white so I did as Ohn Mar suggested and used watered down acrylics. It worked pretty well. I used colors that I had and like and since it is fall I went for a bit of a fall theme.

First project: butterfly

This one was my favorite. I really like how it turned out but there were a few things I learned. Like I wasn't leaving enough white space so the texture I painted wasn't showing through. And that my texture was a bit to light so I had to paint in the butterfly with some pink. But I'm really happy with the contrast in this one.

Second project: Florals

I tried a different approach with this page. I wanted to utilize the texture underneath better in this one so I painted the background with colors that I knew I would be able to use. Pink and green. I cheated and used watercolors for this. It doesn't really give the best texture but it still works.

I feel like I overworked this one a bit and I lost a bit of the contrast because of it. But I still like how it turned out and I learned a lot.

Third project: landscape

Landscapes are where I thrive so this one I was most comfortable with. I decided to stretch it out a bit and use the whole spread. I could already see a curve that looked like the beach and mountains in the background so it was perfect. On this one you can see a bit more of the texture through and I'm quite happy with the outcome.
