Two containers for Water

Mini Class Project: Mixing Secondary Colors (Video #5)

Following the example in the video segment titled "Mixing Secondary Colors," use either a CYM/RBY or Split Primary set of colors to create at least three mini color wheels. Take time to reflect on these mixtures and try new combinations. Be sure to add this to your class project so that others can see what fun combinations you came up with!

Optional Mini Class Project: Split Primary Color Wheel (Video #6)

Following the example in the video segment titled "Split Primary Color Wheels," use either a six primary colors to create vibrant mixes, then explore some of the other combinations with these colors. Be sure to add this to your class project and don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have!

Class Project: 12-Section Color Wheel (Video #13)

Following the example in the video segment titled “Class Project,” choose your three favorite primaries to create a detailed color wheel including the secondary and tertiary colors mixed from your original three pigments. Once completed, reflect on the wheel and your selections to determine if you can create all of the colors would would desire for painting, or if you feel there are gaps that could be filled with additional split primaries, convenience colors, and/or neutrals. Share your project with the class along with your reflections and any questions you may have for Denise or other class participants!
