The project for this class will be to work along with me with the files I provide, to create your own beautiful painted version of our design. You can post your progress and share your ideas along the way.

This is the 2nd class of a 3 part series. This series is set up so each course can stand alone. The previous courses are not a prerequisite. However, each class fully walks you through a different part of the process and together they will take you from beginning to end of a complete design.

What I will need:

1 an iPad. I use the iPad Pro and I highly recommend it.

To get the full value of what I am teaching an iPad Pro is best. Having said that, the Procreate app will work with any iPad that has the 10.0 ios update. As of this class release date, the Procreate team has just released an update to help it function better on an older iPad. As with all technology, older tools will function slightly differently, so I can not guarantee the same experience on anything but an iPad Pro. Please let me know how your experience is if you are trying this class on an older version of the iPad.

2 Procreate App

You can get the Procreate App in itunes or the app store here. It is a paid app, but well worth it.

I have four different versions of the file to use in different areas of the class. I have also provided my texture brush to download. I will show you in the first video how to find and download these.

I have attached a handout for you as well in the attachments section to outline the blend modes. You can keep this handy to help you remember what each blend mode does.

Note: I use an apple pencil in all my classes. I love the detail you can get with it when drawing. This class however is more about texture brushes, painting and blend modes. These can all be done with your finger as well. I still use my finger to paint as I enjoy the tactile experience.

My previous classes were done as physical demo's but this one is a screen cast demos, simply because I want you to see the textures and colors as clearly as possible.
