Create your OWN Princess- and share it

What friend or family member wouldn’t want to see themselves as a Animated Princess drawn by you? Your assignment is to pick one of your (female) friends or family members, a prop that is “iconic” to them, and a dress that is elegant but based on colors or themes that help describe them also. This is the chance to create a completely unique animated princess based on someone you know and then post it all over social media to surprise them! Just make sure you make them pretty, you don’t want to lose a friend over this! Think simplified, maybe even generic faces, so its not too realistic looking. Remember, this is the animated version of them, so it just needs to resemble them, not be a portrait or caricature.

- I suggest you sketch it out first (maybe even a few sketches to get the right look and pose). I didn't do it for this Skillshare example because of time, but usually I do small, thumbnail sketches to plan out the pose and figure out how the face and costume should look.

- Then take that sketch and ink it, making final tweaks and changes as you go.

- If you can, take it all the way to color, digitally or traditionally. It’s up to you how far you go, but remember, you want to post this and maybe even make it a gift for this special person. Then, post it on social networks. Tag me so I can see it too! (@tombancroft1- on Instagram and Twitter)
