In this class I will show you how to make Udon. Udon is a thick, chewy noodle made of flour and usually eaten with soup. It’s like Japanese version of fast food as you can find Udon stands inside of stations, food courts, in the grocery store etc.

I will show you how to make Udon from scratch, Udon soup and many variations of toppings. Hope you will enjoy the class.

In this class I'll show you how to make 4 different delicious pound cake! Yes, pound cake!

I have such a sweet tooth, and in the past I would buy store-bought sweets from time-to-time. However, I prefer to create and bake by myself as I try to be more conscious about what I'm consuming.

The cake you will learn how to make in this class does not contain butter or eggs, which will save you time as you won't need to go through the troublesome process of whipping ingredients.

Super easy to make and only takes 3 steps! Prep is 10mins and the wait time for baking is only 35mins!

So, in this class you will learn:

•How to make a basic plain pound cake

I will show you the basic ingredients, tools you will need along what some ingredient variations.

Amazake, which means "sweet alcohol" in Japanese, is an all-purpose beverage that has been popular since ancient times.

It has a natural sweetness, which is fermented with the help of an enzyme called "Koji". Because of its fermentation, it has a high nutritional value. People drink it or use it for cooking (especially desserts).

Class Description

When the weather turns cold here in japan, we say the season of “Nabe” has arrived. Nabe means “a pot” in Japanese but it’s also the name of a dish which contains soup with some sort of vegetable, fish, meat or seafood. Once the nabe is prepared, the pot is brought to the table and eaten it while it is hot, in a self-serve style. It is a popular dish when the family gets together the New Year's holiday season.

In this class you will learn how to make the traditional nabe called "Yose Nabe", along with a bit of culture, tradition and other types of nabe.

So why don't you warm up by having nabe at home? Let's start cooking!

In this class you will learn 3 different vegan tofu dinner ideas. l know, many people hear the words "tofu for dinner" and think "boring", "tasteless" or "too light". However, I will show you tasty tofu dishes that leave you satisfied and also feeling healthy.

Tofu is made of soy beans and is well known as a good source of protein. Here in Japan, we love tofu as it goes well with almost anything including vegetables, fish, seafood, cheese...and so on.The 3 ideas I'll present in this class are vegan but I'm sure that everybody can enjoy the taste.

In my first Skillshare class, I will show you how to make "Onigiri" (Rice Ball). Onigiri is a simple Japanese food which is a ball of rice wrapped by "nori" (seaweed). I will show you how to make the standard way and also some other variations that you might wanna try. Let`s get started!
