...Nature is everything...

As a designer my eyes are constantly creating something from nothing at all. I am a seeker of beauty, florista and forager, artist and cook. Inspiration comes from the ephemeral elements in nature, from all that surrounds me. For me nature is everything.

I am the owner and creator of Hawk & Floret and FlowerPorn. FlowerPorn is a design company creating outdoor spaces, gardens, sculptures, as well as florals for events. Hawk & Floret is a store and community space with antiques and unique gifts with a story, hand crafted wellness products, art, and physical & sensory magic. It's a space to transport & let your imagination roam!

My work integrates interior & landscape design, floral arranging, and upcycling. Having worked in these fields for over 35 years, my designs have been written up in the New York Times, Brides Magazine, the Philadelphia Inquirer, Country Living Magazine, and many other publications.

A friend once described me as..."Pippy Longstocking meets Martha Stewart meets Vargas Girl meets Oakley meets Mary Poppins meets Daisy Mae Clapett meets Joe the Mechanic meets Frida Kahlo meets Penny the Cheerleader."

When I was a young girl I found great joy in lifting the bricks and stones that bordered our backyard garden. The worms, slugs and rolly pollies were all my little friends. My mother enrolled me in a landscape oil painting class at the local recreation center, a child in an adult class. That was the beginning of my kinship with nature, which led to a degree in Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art.
