I'm Anu Varikattu, a mother, artist and an Architect from India. I teach Architecture at College and explore art at home.

I restarted painting in 2018 as an absolute beginner. So I am familiar with the struggles and stress that a beginner level artist faces. I started this space to support, motivate and grow together with similar minded artists. Let's paint together and grow together. I am on social media as anu_varikattu or anu.varikattu.

This is my very first class here and I have come up with a very simple but beautiful canvas project with Acrylic. It is curated in a very simple way that anyone can paint. So in today's class we will be doing a beautiful project with canvas. You can use these canvases to decorate your home, office table or you can gift it to someone you prefer.

The theme of the project is ‘ Night Lights’. Lights at night with many colors and in bokeh are always a favorite subject to artists as well as photographers. In this class we will be learning how to draw night city lights in bokeh effect in a simplest way. This is absolutely beginner level class and anyone who is interested can paint with me. You can use papers instead of canvases. Each painting will not take more than 20 minutes!!

Okay… without any waste of time, let’s start

Art Supplies required for the class:

1.Canvas paper or Board (you can do it with a paper of thickness min.110gsm)

2.Brushes: 1 Flat and 1 Round brush

3.Paints: Acrylic

4.Earbuds !

2 Jars of water

6.Paper towel or cloth
