I am so happy that I took this class and finished all the 100 days. It has been a great journey and I have learnt so much. Thank you for this course.

Week 17

Final week!

Woho! The final week is done! For this week the elephant was the highlight because of the lesson on colour mixing in the paper, it was so much fun.

Week 16

Sixteenth week done with the theme food.

Wow! Almost all of the 100 days are done.

For this week I like day 94 with the kiwi. It was a different type of food painting but I really liked the effect of it.

Week 15

Fifteenth week done with the theme forest.

The forests where very fun to paint and it was interesting to paint the sun rays between the trees, it was hard to fun to learn how it is done.

Week 14

Fourteenth week done with the theme lighthouse.

This was a fun week and lighthouses is not something that I would have though of painting so I enjoyed the ones we did this week. I also enjoyed using the knowledge from skies, water and the northern lights lessons that we have done previous weeks and combining them here.

Week 13

Thirteenth week done with the theme flowers.

The flower week I thought was very hard and I struggled a lot with the sunflower painting. I like the cherry blossom on the branch painting and the flower arrangement in the basket.

Week 12

Twelfth week done with the theme lights.

What I liked about this week was the different types of light painting. I thought the fire one was very hard but when I look at it I like it more and more. The firecracker was very fun this week and I like the bokeh effect.

Week 11

Eleventh week done with the theme boats.

This week was very hard but also contains my favorite so far which is day 63 with the white boat. The scene is very soothing and the reflection added a very nice touch to the painting.

Week 10

Tenth week done with the theme beaches.

For this week I liked that the beaches had very different colours and moods. I liked that all of the scenes where very different with a lot of different colours and perspectives.

Week 9

Ninth week done with the theme oceans.

I liked this week but waves are very hard to paint but I had fun and white paint splatters all over the apartment.

Week 8

Eight week done with the theme water.

For this week I have several paintings as my favorites. It was so much fun to paint the rain both in the big rain drops on the window and the pouring rain the green forest. I also really like day 47 with the calm water landscape with the pine tree.

Week 7

Seventh week done with the theme moon.

This week was really fun! I liked that the moon could look so different and I enjoyed the many colours that we used. My favorite for this week is day 39 with the purple background, the image looks very spooky and I really liked how the moon turned out on this day.

Week 6

Sixth week done with the theme sunsets.

I didn't think that this week would be one of my favorites but I really like the colours for this week. And I also liked the opportunity to practice painting birds in the distance.

Week 5

Fifth week done with the theme space and galaxies.

Wow. We are already on week five. I have very much enjoyed the me time in the evenings where I can explore watercolours and I have started to feel it become a habit. I think the space and galaxy theme has been a lot of fun and day 30 is the one I liked the most. The scene in space reminds me of one of my favorite movies Treasure Planet.

Week 4

Fourth week done with the theme northern lights.

I really enjoyed all the colours for this week. My favorite for this week was Day 21 and I managed to get the colours more vibrant for this day than the day before where I overworked the painting. And I also enjoyed the practice of the pine trees since the pine trees I did in week one was not so good so I painted them into mountains instead. But now I liked the pine trees I made.

Week 3

Third week done with the theme mountains.

I found this week harder than the other weeks but I enjoyed this week very much. It was fun to adapt the skies that we have learnt in the previous weeks to the backgrounds of the mountains.

I liked different mountain styles and the different colours used, every day was different from the previous one.

Week 2

Second week done with the theme night skies.

I really enjoyed this weeks theme and I liked the different colours of the skies. One of favorites so far is day 2, I like the concept of creating a painting with only two colours and the dry brushing technique on the mountains creates beautiful effects.

I have also enjoyed the practice of making stars. For the first day I didn't get the correct consistency of the white gouache paint and the stars looked more like snow. So I added some white on the mountains to look like snow and I'll quote Bob Ross and call it a happy little accident.

Week 1

First week done with the theme skies.

I just jumped directly in to day one and put paint to paper. I added my first attempt for the first day, which is the big one, because I quickly noticed that I made some mistakes because I didn't put enough water on the paper and the paper started to dry before I could finish with the sky.

So I took a quick break and did the first part of Geethu's watercolour class for beginners to learn some water control. And it did help because I was much happier with the second attempt and I wanted to share my progress.

I enjoyed all the days and the paintings, but the trees on day 5 didn't look like trees so they transferred nicely into mountains instead.
