5. Why Branding your Youtube Channel works: a friend's mike here with a giant cup of coffee. Now let's consider why branding your YouTube channel really works. There are, of course, a number of reasons for this, but here are a few good examples. If you have a clear branding that reflect the value you deliver, people will know what to expect from your channel. People also tend to come back to things they recognize, which is why you should create a consistent look, feel and experience for the viewers. And this is what branding essentially ISS repetition is the mother of learning. And since you repeat your branding over and over in many places, it will make your viewers remember your brand. In essence, they will learn about you. Branding consistently is like creating an alter ego unique persona. Whether that is based around yourself as a personal brand or a business and being unique is the way to stand out from the crowd. Basically, people don't like to be confused, So think of your branding as a means to create clarity for your viewers. All right, now you know some reasons why branding your YouTube channel can work wonders. I'll see you in the next video. My friends
6. Define your Channel: Hey, friends. So before you begin branding your channel, you should define what your channel is about, what the value is for the viewers and what your target audiences. I want you to think about the following questions because only you know the answers, and those answers will define your channel and affect the way you brand yourself first. What is the focus off your channel? For example, is it focused on movies, music, gaming, blogging, health, beauty, fitness or anything else? Basically, what is your niche? When you have a clear answer to that question, you should write it down. Next question. What value do you deliver to your viewers? For example, do you mainly deliver entertainment, comedy, tutorials, education, news, blogging, etcetera? Again, right down your answer when you're certain and the last question is, what is your target audience? I tried to think of this not as the people you think will watch your videos, but those you mostly want to reach with your videos, for example, people who like store wars and science fiction people who are adrenaline junkies or perhaps people who really care about health and fitness, etcetera right down the kind of people you really want to become your subscribers? All right, So what was this exercise for? Well, it is mostly so that you personally have a clear picture of your channel. Because if you don't have a clear picture, how can your viewers have? And branding always starts with a clear picture and distinct frame off what you are about. So to recap, the key points, What is the focus of your channel? Your channel niche. What value do you deliver to your viewers? Example. Entertainment tutorials, comedy, etcetera. And what is your target audience? The people you mostly want to reach with your videos. Now you're ready to move on to the next lesson, my friends.

Much is like you connect with your friends in real life, but each and every one of us, or actually many different things You can be apparent student football fan, the party person, a science geek gamer or just about anything. The point is that we all have different roles in life, many interests and many passions. You have to choose how you will present yourself to the public on YouTube. Do you find your personal brand? What characteristics, interests and passions do you want to emphasize? Consider all the skills and expertise you have. Write them all down and then mark the ones you would like to be known for. Force the video and do this Now. All right, welcome back. I hope you now have a better understanding on what you want your personal brand to reflect to your viewers. Remember, it can be soft skills as well. In fact, If you're great at making people off, it will work wonders on YouTube, but also, if you are very structured and informative, you can, for example, make great review and demo videos. For example, my personal brand is Mike. This Swedish music composer and video producer were slightly geeky, sometimes funny and often smiling person who like to share, teach and inspire people. So to recap, the key points. Define yourself. What characteristics, interests and passions do you have? What skills and expertise do you have? Choose the ones you want to be known for. Be genuine. Always be yourself, but choose what sites of yourself you want to emphasize. So when you have defined what your personal brandis, you are ready to move on to the next lesson. My friends

Some people can even tell almost instantly when they see your movie clip. Which director made that movie? It's all about signature style. Popular movie examples are I'll be back. Or may the force be with you. I bet you know from which moves. Those catch phrases are for YouTube. I recommend that you at least find a catchphrase to open your videos with and to close your videos with. Personally, I always thought my videos with a friends, and I closed them with you. Rook, my friends, That lost catchphrase is even in my channel banner to reinforce it even more. If you have personal signature phrases you use in daily life, consider adding them in your videos. And even if you only use YouTube as an individual and don't have a business, I advise you to create a logo for yourself and use it to brand your YouTube channel and videos. It will really make you stand out as more professional. Everyone knows the brand should have a logo the most important aspect when creating your logo race. It should be unique and simple enough to be remembered and identifiable, preferably high contrast so that it can be used in very small formats. It should also be designed to reflect your brand value and niche. For example, the logo of a beauty brand should be designed very different from a logo off a tech company . Most often, the logo also contains your brand name. For example, my logo, which I use for my media production business, is a golden angel against a deep royal blue background, with my brand name Peak 11 below it and a frame around it. The design was chosen to reflect my most important brand values and keywords. I want to portray such as divine freedom, royal epic and prestige. Let's continue to the next lesson, my friends.
11. Create your Avatar: Hey, friends, in this lesson, we are going to discuss your channel avatar. This is the small image that you see in, for example, the YouTube comments and in the banner on your YouTube channel page. I used to have my local type as my avatar, but I have changed that. Because I have seen on YouTube and social media, it generally works best. If he used a good, close up photo of yourself as an avatar. It should be high contrast, sharp and eye catching. And one way to catch viewer's attention is by showing emotions in your picture. My tip is to smile, smile passionately and genuinely. Don't put it fakes, my long. Think about something really funny or think about happiness and then take the picture right then. There are also some people that use a graphic illustration off themselves as their channel avatar. In that case, you can get away with even stronger emotions in the illustration, portraying you remember when you design your avatar that it should be perfectly square in format and you should find a suitable backdrop or complementary background to shoot your picture against preferably, the background should be out of focus so that you stand out. So I advise you to use a good DSLR camera for your avatar picture. You can increase the contrast and sharpen it quite a bit in your favorite photo editor afterwards because it will always be seen in a small thumbnail. Former. So to recap, the key points Generally, a good close up photo of yourself works best as your avatar picture. It should be high contrast, sharp and eye catching. Show emotions Smiling. Works well, Use a good camera and find a suitable backdrop or complementary background. So make all preparations and then do a photo shoot off yourself. The first thing you should know is that it looks different depending on what device the viewer is using. However, you design on Lee one channel background in a very large format, which then it's cropped automatically. So you have to realize that YouTube have different cropping areas for different devices. If a person watches to your channel page from a TV, he will see the full background on a computer. He will see a somewhat smaller version and so on. I advise you to search Google for YouTube channel page template and final link to the original instructions from Google themselves. Then you will have the full specifications on format and cropping areas. When designing your graphics, focus mostly on the banner area of your channel background. This is where you can establish your brand. My advice is to include your logo there and also your website address if you have one. If you have a niche channel, you can also make it clear to the viewers what your channel is about. Perhaps with the tagline, for example, gaming commentary with an edge or fitness with your health in focus. So to recap, the key points YouTube have a different cropping areas for different devices for your channel page background. So by incorporating custom graphic elements within your videos, people will be exposed to your brand again and again. You do this by creating a unique design off your video graphics and then use them consistently. The most common in video graphics is something called Lower Third Graphics. This is what you see on TV in interview segments, etcetera. It is the graphics showing the name and a short info line off the person. This is a great way to expose your brand. Come up with the title of yourself that you want to be known for, or use a tagline. I would also advise you to add in your logo or avatar in the lower third graphics.
