1. Video Making Intro: Hi guys. Let's say you want to learn video making and you want to create your brand using social media like YouTube. Now if you want to stand out on YouTube, first, you need to understand how the YouTube algorithm works. First, we are going to understand the YouTube algorithm. Then we will see based on the YouTube algorithm, how these channels are thriving on YouTube. If I know this wisdom, when I started the content creation journey, it would have saved me a lot of time and money. So I hope this course has valuable to you. Let's get started. 2. Understanding The YouTube Algorithm: Now YouTube cares about three crucial metrics. Good CTR, good audience retention, people's satisfaction. Okay? If your video holds these three positive metrics, YouTube will make your video go viral. First, CTR. Click-through rate means how many percent of video gets clicked when it showed on YouTube. Let's say 100 times YouTube shows this video to people and ten people click on the video. The CTR is 10%. Okay? Why is good CTR crucial for YouTube? And you, instead of a low CTR video in YouTube can recommend a video that has good CTR, or even show ads. That way, YouTube can satisfy people with the content they are interested in and make money with ads. Next, audience retention contains two metrics. Average view duration means on average, how much time of your video watched by people. Average percentage viewed means, on average, how many percent of your video is watched by people. Why is audience retention crucial for YouTube? And the more time people spend on YouTube, the more ads it can show and make more money. A U2 ranks and suggests videos which satisfies and keeps people on YouTube. Next, people's satisfaction means when people see your video, it creates expectation. It can be entertaining or educational. Once people click on the video, you need to fulfill the expectation you created with your thumbnail entitled. If you satisfy people with your content, you will get there feedbacks with likes, shares, comments, and subscribers. Okay. 3. Dream Channel Insights: Minecraft game or dream just hit the milestone of 25 million subscribers. If we look at his video views, dream is crunching numbers in gaming history. To get massive success like these, dream needs to get YouTube's three crucial metrics. In this video, you will learn what those metrics are and how dream is getting those positive metrics to make viral videos like these. The first part is getting good CTR. To get a good CTR dream is doing two steps. The first step is using clear curiosity, creating titles like this, Minecraft speed or inner versus five hunters. It creates curiosity in people who were into the world of Minecraft. Like, how is it possible to escape from five hunters and whether he won the game or not. They click on the video to see how he escapes and wins the game. Okay, Next to get a good CTR, he is using curiosity, creating thumbnails, like the title. The thumbnail represents how intense the game will be when 500s chase a single person. This creates excitement to watch the video. So people click on it to watch. Okay, this is how dream is getting good CTR. Now you know how he gets people to click on his videos. Next, let's see what dream is doing to get good audience retention. He is doing for essential steps to make people binge watch his videos. The first step is getting people hooked on the video. To hook people on the video. At the beginning of the video, he has clearly explaining what they are going to see in this video. How much interesting it will be. Now let's see this step in action, this video five of my friends try and hunt me down and stop me from beating micro. I said I would try against 500s of the last video got 1 million likes and it did in a day. So here we are. Can they stopped me from beating the Ender Dragon or Will I survive? This is it Minecraft manhood? It's crucial to communicate this information in your videos. If you miss the step, most people will not watch your video. Because people don't care about your video. They only care about how your video can help or entertain them. Okay, The next step is delivering the promise content to people. Dream is a genius when it comes to delivering the content. Like in movies, dream is making exciting gameplay videos, starting with building up tension and then critical climax. This pattern repeats every few minutes until he loses the game. To make this pattern possible, he uses good background music based on the situation like movies. Now let us see these steps in action. Going, going, gone, awry, find a village. Next, he edits the videos to make people binge-watch, like removing boring and repeated content. That way he is publishing only interesting content. Okay, next, he is making what people are interested in. For example, Minecraft is similar to the Super Mario game. But what makes people more interested in Minecraft? It's a human multiplayer game. People like people, which makes the game more engaging. Dream is using this fact as the foundation for his videos. Example. Once he found the success pattern with his manhunt video, he makes more videos like that, plus improving the quality each time people keep watching. He keeps posting. As a result, millions of views in history. You can also use this same strategy to get success on YouTube. This is how dream is getting good audience retention. Finally, let's see how does dream satisfying people? In this case, dream is a gaming videos channel. People are watching his videos to get entertained. He satisfies people with his highly entertaining videos. You can find people's satisfaction from the likes and comments of real people. This is how dreams satisfying people to get millions of views. 4. Unbox Therapy Channel Insights: In terms of subscribers count, unbox therapy is the number one tech channel on YouTube. This video, we will look at the strategies which unbox therapy is using to get 1 million views in each video. The first part is getting good CTR. To get a good CTR, Lewis is doing three steps. The first step is using clear curiosity, creating titles. Example, like these. Don't buy titles. It's curiosity in people who are interested in that product. They click on the video to find the reason. Next. He is using extreme expression titles for new products, like here, you've never seen a laptop do this. Again. These titles create curiosity. So people click on them. Okay, Next to get a good CTR, he is making attractive thumbnails. He makes them nails like presenting the product to people personally with a reaction. This creates curiosity and invites them to watch the video. Next. Consistency in thumbnails helps people to identify their favorite creator videos quickly. This brings more video views from the same person. Next, he makes clean thumbnails with the product he reviews, which helps people quickly understand the video. He wins clicks. Finally to get good CTR, he is adding video details in the description. In YouTube search results. This description helps people to understand more information about the video. And it helps you tube to understand the video better. As a result, the more interested audience clicks on the video. This is how Louis is getting good CTR. Now you know how he gets people to click on his videos. Next, let's see what Lewis is doing to get good audience retention. He is doing for essential steps to make people binge watch his videos. The first step is getting people hooked on the video. To hook people on the video. At the beginning of the video, he has clearly explaining what they are going to see in this video, how it will be helpful to them. Now let's see this step in action. Today we're checking out a new monitor from Samsung. They're calling it the M7 smart monitor. And unlike previous monitors, which stand to just sort of be your computer display or gaming display. This one they're treating sort of more like an all in one solution to also be your TV because it has the Smart TV apps built into it as well. So it's an all in one display. You can imagine it in a bedroom or a dorm room or even like a small apartment where you would have this 32 inch screen, I can do everything. It's crucial to communicate this information in your videos. If you miss the step, most people will not watch your video. Because people don't care about your video. They only care about how your video can help them. Okay? The next step is delivering the promise content to people. Lewis is a genius when it comes to delivering the content. First, he is speaking everything from the people's perspective based on their needs. For example, you want one display to rule them all. You want one display. They can do everything in one room so you don't have to have multiple different setups to do different things. That's where this comes in. And so we have established setup. Next to help all audiences. He explains how it will be helpful for different purposes. Example, as a smart TV for gaming and video editing. So here's an example of how you would use this. So I've got resolved opened up. You might be on a timeline just sitting there. You might be editing this actual video. And now I've got my PlayStation five and I can lean back over here. I have B gaming. Like, I mean, I can even scroll individual Netflix shows. Next, he is directly speaking to the audience like an in-person conversation. As we look around the back here, you can see that you have the ability to mount it as well via visa. And then you also have a number of USB inputs so it can behave as a USB hub. Next, he is closely showing and explaining how they can use the product. This way of communication helps him to create more trust with them. Plus, this way of explaining helps people closely look at the product without buying. Okay, this is how Louis is getting good audience retention. Finally, let's see how Louis satisfying people. In this case, unbox therapy as a tech products review channel. People are watching their videos to make purchase decisions. So it's crucial to be honest and only suggesting useful quality products. Lewis has consistently giving quality product reviews. You can find people's satisfaction from the likes and comments of real people. This is how Louis satisfying people to make viral videos. 5. How Does Apple Make Money - Insights: Next we're going to understand how does Apple make money? How does a successful business works? This is how much money apple makes. In 2020 alone, Apple made a $274 billion profit. Apple is now a $2 trillion company. How is Apple so successful? Now we're going to see the for fundamental reasons that makes apples so successful. The first reason is Apple is a People First Vision company. There are two types of companies in this world. People First, Vision and Profit First Vision, the profit first vision is to make as much money as possible. They don't care about people. Next, the people first vision companies. First, what is People First Vision? It means understanding everything from the people perspective. Example, thinking like a customer. What is people need? How will it help them? How it needs to be? The people first vision helps everyone to create products that people love. Now how Apple finds a product idea, they deeply understand people and their needs. By finding answers to these questions. Let's see an example. What is people need? Apple finds that people are listening to music for centuries and they understood music as a part of people life. How music helps people, it helps people to relax, enjoy, and more. How it needs to be. Once Apple found the answers, they checked what are the available options for listening to music. They found a few, but what people need is an easy to use better solution. They created the iPads for the music lovers. This is how Apple finds a product idea. Okay, next, let's go to making. To make a product, apple follows People First Vision. First, they follow the quality over quantity principle. They invest a lot of time and money to make a high-quality product. Next, to make an easy to use product, rather than adding every future, they only add the essential features with a clean design that makes their products easy to use. This is how Apple makes a product. Next, let's go to marketing. Apple's marketing is simple. They only talk about what people care about. A great example is when Apple introduced iPod, their message to people is thousand songs in your pocket. Ipod competitors messages to gigabyte storage. Now, which one conveys what people care about? And which message is easy to understand. Yes, this message, because people know and care about music, not storage. This is how Apple does its marketing. Okay, next, let's go to the final one. Keeping this success. As you can see here, for the past five years, apple is consistently making more than $200 billion. How is Apple rapidly growing? The first essential reason is Apple always follows the people first. The second reason is trust. Apple has gained the status of the most trusted brand in this world. Well, how, by delivering promise quality of products and service, creating products with security and privacy in mind. The final reason is innovation. The first example from iPod to iPhone. Ipod is an amazingly successful product of Apple, but they destroyed it with their iPhone. Can you guess why they did that? Because they know people can do more with the latest technologies.
