than right now.
2. A Practical Roadmap for Youtube Topics Covered: Course, I'll be providing
a practical roadmap to help you start or continue
your journey on YouTube. We'll cover a lot of topics
ranging from y YouTube, how to find a niche, when is the best time
to start and how you should start,
finding a niche, content strategy,
emotional skills, understanding calls
to action or CTA, camera confidence
and presentation, filming and camera gear,
and lastly, editing,
3. Finding Your Niche: Find your niche and
how you should start? I always tell people that
your network is your network. What do you have right now that can add value in people's lives? Most people think that there's
always the best time to start a business or a Youtube
channel for that matter. But the truth is right now is the time to stop
the wait for tomorrow. When I started Youtube, I thought about these
three concepts. Number one, my skill,
hobbies or network. Now think about what
you're good at and apply those skills to
start a Youtube channel. Think of your network and
what connections you have. That's where you need to start. Feel good at a craft or a skill, and enjoy your hobby, research and create a Youtube
channel around your craft. You could be a soft engineer, or you love cars or motorcycles, or you love cooking, or you
love learning new ideas, or you love gaming,
or even teaching. Turn that craft into
a Youtube channel. Now as you create content, consider your
competitive advantages. These are the things
that make you stand out or things that make you unique and give your
content an edge. For instance, make videos about
creating websites is perhaps practical to you
since you work in tech, as a web designer,
developer, or supremeer. It would also just create videos on career
advice or gaming. It's ideally content around your firsthand experience
or what you know. Develop unique voice. Watch other Youtube. You enjoy and get inspired
by their videos, not by creating content
similar to what you've seen, but gradually infuse your own individuality
into each video. Unique will help you stand
out on the platform.
4. Branding Your Channel: Branding is an essential part of creating a successful
Youtube channel. It helps viewers identify your content and sets you
apart from other channels. A strong brand can help you grow your audience and increase
engagement with your content. Here are some tips on how
to brand your channel. Number one, choose a unique
and memorable channel name. Your channel name is the first thing
viewers will see when they come across your channel or content. It should be unique, numberable. Help viewers
remember your channel. Avoid using generic names that are similar
to other channels. Use a name that reflects the content of your
channel and its purpose. You can use free tools
or line to create a unique and catchy
name for your channel. Create a unique logo
or channel art. A unique logo or channel
art can help you stand out and make a lasting
impression on viewers. Your channel art is a ban that appears on the top
of a channel page and can be used to communicate your channel's theme,
topics, and personality. You can create a logo using a free graphic design
tool such as Canva, which offers a variety of
templates and design elements. You can also create
your own custom logo using Adobe Illustrator photos. When creating
a channel art, make sure it reflects the style and theme of your channel. Use high quality images and graphics to grab
viewers attention. You can also include
channel name, logo, or tag line to reinforce
your brand's identity. Number three, use consistent
branding across the channel. Consistent branding across
the channel can help viewers identify your content and build brand recognition. Use the same color
schemes, fonts, and design elements throughout your videos and channel art. This will create a cohesive and professional look
for your channel. By using consistent branding, you can reinforce your
brand identity and make it more memorable
for viewers to find. Number four, incorporate
branding in your video. Incorporating branding
in your videos can help reinforce the channels event
and make it more memorable. Use your logo or channel name in your
video, intro and outro. You can also use
branded lower thirds or watermarks
throughout your videos. By using consistent
branding in your videos, you can enforce your
channels identity and make it more
memorable for viewers. Number five, use
copyright free music and graphic when
creating your branding. It's important to use
copyright free music and graphics to avoid any legal
issues or copyright strikes. You can find free music and
graphics in online labor, such as the Youtube
audio library, Creative Comments or
Tive, free music. These resources
offer a wide range of music and graphics that can help you use in your videos and channel art without
any legal issues. By following these
branding tips, you can create a unique
and memorable channel that viewers can find and remember and return
to in the future. By using branding tools, you can really argument
your brand identity. And use these freely
available tools to create a unique personality and your
own space on the platform.
5. Camera Confidence and Presentation: The next important thing is camera confidence
and presentation. Whether you're
looking at a camera, you should ideally try
to look into the lens. One mistake people often make when starting a
Youtube channel is looking at the view finder instead of looking
directly at the lens. This presents a
feeling of you looking away from the camera instead
of the actual audience. I think for gaining
confidence when talking to the camera is to pretend you're talking to someone you
already know very well, like a sibling, a
parent, or a friend. This will help you relax even more in front
of the camera, and over time you'll be able to build this skill naturally.
6. Emotional Skills For Success: Let's talk about the
emotional skills needed to start and sustain
a Youtube channel. Begin creating content
before you feel ready and publish yourself outside
of your comfort zone. Think of citing as a goal rather than
focusing on success, which will help you take that first step into the world
of making Youtube videos. This also means that you need
to learn as you go along. Each time you make a video, each time you sit
down to work Youtube, try to learn something new
and build on your craft. You don't need to have
the perfect year, or the perfect
camera confidence, or the perfect script,
or the perfect niche, or the perfect film net. To get started on
Youtube, just launch and launch while you're
still rough around the edges and you learn it every single
time that you make a video. And don't forget that perfect
is often the enemy of good. Sometimes for me,
once a video is even published I've
got the thumbnail, I'd actually feel
some resistance or even fear to publish. Maybe because I didn't feel like the video was as good
as it could have been applaud and take the
plunge because you can always improve
on your next video. And who knows, because some of the videos that I thought were kind of a big bad actually
brought the most value people and have been the best performing
videos to this date. Emotional balance is also
key for success on Youtube. Having an evenness of mind
even in the face of stress. This means that whether things
are going well or whether they're going badly or whether nothing's
happening at all, this is essential
because Youtube can really be a roller
coast of emotion. When you first start
out, it's quite likely that not many people
will watch your videos. You'll be one, I'm
putting all this effort, but nobody's even watching the. And that doesn't
feel good when you feel like our efforts
are being rewarded. But keep going because
you never know when the algorithm could
pick up your video. I personally try to train
myself to remain calm and compose whether or not
the outcome is good or bad. Decoupling my emotions from the performance of
my videos and how my Youtube channel is doing allows me to make videos
I actually enjoy. And also not to get caught up in the whole roller coaster that's going on
in the algorithm. This is so important because video performance
is often really out of your control and it's really hard to predict
what's going to happen. All you can control is
making another video, another better video,
and adding value to one more person and
improving each time you a.
7. Content Strategy: Content strategy. At its core, a content strategy is
your plan for creating, publishing, and managing
usable content. It's about knowing
what you will produce, how you produce it, and to
whom it will be addressed. For Youtube, this means
a consistent, engaging, and targeted approach to
video topics, styles, and messaging that
resonates with your audience and aligns
with the channel's goals. These are the steps to create your content
strategy. Number one, no, you niche clearly define what your channel is
about and who it's for. If you have a niche,
this helps in creating targeted content that speaks directly to your audience
interests and needs. Secondly, research
and plan topics. Keep abreast of
trends, keywords, or competitor content plan of video topics ahead of ensuring that they align with your niche and your audience interests. Third, create a
content calendar, organize your ideas into
a content calendar. Deciding on publishing
frequently and sticking to consistency is key in
building an audience. In addition, develop
a unique style. Your presentation style can set you apart from
your competitors. Whether it's your humor in depth analysis or storytelling. Find what works for
you and your audience. Optimize for SCO. Use keywords, compelling titles, and descriptions to optimize
your videos For such, this increases visibility and drives organic traffic
to your channel. Another key thing you want to
do is add to it and involve use analytics to understand what's working and
what isn't work. Be prepared to adapt and evolve your strategy
based on feedback, on audience feedback, and
changing audience preferences.
8. The Power of Titles and Thumbnails: Title, thumb, the
power of title, thumb. Your title and thumb are often the first things a
potential viewer notices. They act as a billboard
for your video, setting expectations
and enticing curiosity. The goal is to accurately
represent the content while maximizing regarding
thumbnails, titles, and hooks. It's essential to
avoid resorting to click bait or
misleading prompts. Instead, focus on accurately portraying the genuine
value of video office. If you use clickbait techniques for your thumbnail
title or hook, viewers will quickly
recognize up in the video and they won't find the value in your video
and they'll click away.
9. The Problem with Clickbait: Problem with clickbait.
Click bait refers to misleading titles and thumbnails
designed to draw clicks. While they might boost
short term view, they eventually harm the
channel's reputation and view retention
in the long run. Viewers who feel tricked
are less likely to return or try to be more engaged next time
they see your videos. Avoid clickbait titles
and video thumbnails. Firstly, a clickable
thumbnail title is essential if nobody clicks on your videos because
the thumbnail and the title doesn't appeal to them, then
you'll get in view. Interesting titles and
thumbnails are easy to click on as they promise
great content and value. Try to come up with at least
five ideas for thumbnail, title four video, and choose the one that resonates
the most for you. Secondly, you really want to focus on the first 30
seconds of a video, also known as the hook. This is the start of the video where you need to
show the view that the video they
have clicked on is actually the video that
they want to watch. You need to provide your
value proposition early on within the first 20 seconds and what you're going to
talk about in the video, so they know upfront why they're there
in the first place. The first ten to
30 seconds are so important to show the viewer why they should keep watching.
10. Crafting Authentic Titles: Crafting authentic
titles, clarity, and relevance is really the first thing you
should focus on. Should your title clearly reflects the content
of your video, use relevant keywords and
phrases that accurately describe what viewers will
see, curiosity, and interest. Secondly, pick interest
without misleading. Use compelling
language that speaks to the viewer's
need of curiosity. Brevity. Keep it simple. Long winded titles
can be cut off in search results or feeds,
losing the impact. Keep your titles very concise. Designing effective thumbnails. Now, visual appeal is the
first thing should focus on. Use high quality
images, bold colors, and readable text to make your thumbnail stand
honest representation. Ensure your thumbnail accurately reflects the content
of the video. Misleading images or
exaggerated reactions can lead to viewer distrust. Consistency. Maintain
a consistent style for your thumbnails to establish
brand recognition over time. This means that users
can just quickly identify your videos when
they see the on the platform.
11. Understanding Call to Action (CTA): Understanding the call to action is another important strategy. A call to action in your
videos is a direct appeal to your audience to take a specific step after
watching your video. It could be to
command, subscribe, or follow link, or any other action beneficial
to your channels objectives. Why is a call to
action important, or why is a CTA important? One direction. It guides your
viewers on what to do next, removing any guesswork.
Two, engagement. A compelling CTA can increase engagement metrics like
likes, shares, and comments. Three, conversion or channels
focusing on sales or leads a CTA can direct viewers
towards a conversion point. Another point, retention, encouraging subscription
notifications helps obtain viewers for
future content. In addition, here's
how to craft your CTA. Measure it early, which means that within the
first 20 seconds, introduce your call to action. Let your audience know what
they'll be gaining from watching the video and what action you'd
like them to take. This sets expectations and
hooks the viewers early. In addition, value
proposition clearly articulate the value of your
video that it provides. Whether it's learning
a new skill, entertainment or insights your viewers, what they will do, what they will achieve or
learn by the end of the video. Simplicity and your call to action should be simple,
clear and direct. Avoid ambiguity and tell your viewers exactly what
action you want them to take. Also, relevance
and show your call to action is relevant
to the video content relevant CTs can alienate viewers or diminish the
perceived value of your content. For instance, in my videos
I prioritize communicating the value and expected outcome within the first 20
seconds of the video. For instance, by the
end of this video, you'll learn about the features and drive experience
with a new car. So stick around and don't forget that light button if you
find these steps helpful.
12. Filming and Camara Gear: And camera gear. In
terms of hardware, the best gear is a gear
that you have right now. You can set it. You channel
just by your smartphone, which has a camera
and a microphone. If you have a window
with natural light or a big lamp as I have on my right hand side there,
you have your light. If you want to operate audio, obvio is the most
important thing rather than video quality. So consider getting an
external microphone first, then adding lighting,
and finally, a camera.
13. Editing and Copyright free Music: Editing software. In
terms of software, there are many video
editing programs available, such as Da Vinci
Result, which is free, and Final Pro or A Premier,
which costs money. Consider using good quality music for your Youtube channel, which means that you get copyright free content
or copyright free music. And there are a number
of platforms that you can use that
I use personally. I love Audio Jungle, and there is also
Epidemic Sound. And I use these platforms
because you can obtain a license for all
the tracks that you use. For instance, on Audio Jungle, I can choose to download
the entire license either as a PDF or plain text, which I then attach to my video. Or if my video gets flagged
for copyright claims, I can always attach
a license and within a day the issue
is typically resolved. Very important to
avoid copyright, don't copy someone
else's original work. I've actually come across different channels which
have quite literally downloaded at least
20 of my videos and posting those videos
as the original work. In which case, I typically contact Youtube and the
channel is taken down. So it's very disheartening
to do all this type of work, to create all this content, only for someone to
literally steal your ideas, steal your work, and
post them as their own. And make money using the
work that you've done. Very important. Avoid copyright. Be original, create
unique content, which means that it's
content that you can get on your own.
Avoid copyrights. Get the right quality music, Either from Epidemic
Sounds or Audio Jungle. I'll leave some links
in the description, so make sure you check the.
14. Adding B Roll Enhance Your Videos with Text and Images: B roll pattern. Interrupts are another way to keep
viewers engaged. Every seven to 10 seconds
have something new going on, whether it's text, B
roll, or something else. To keep viewers
interested, slow down. The pace of your video can make your audience feel like
you're wasting their time. So it's important to keep
it engaging in editing. Simply show what
you're talking about. Don't just tell. For example, if you're talking about an item, actually show the item or use via footage to make
it more engaging. Video is a visual
source of information. Adding images, text, and the visuals can help
viewers stay engaged.
15. Use Batch Production for Productivity and Save Time: Another strategy is to
batch produce content. This is fairly important because even TV shows and movies
have batch production. Which means on a single day, typically on Saturday, I
shoot a tunnel videos. In one day I create about three to four
videos in a single day. It takes me about five, 6 hours. Then I come home and I do
batch editing of those videos, which means I have content
for the next week or two. Always consider
batch production, which is a very excellent time saving and
productivity technique in terms of setting up
your Youtube business. Speaking of productivity,
another tool that I use in my Youtube
journey is to is a platform or a tool
that allows you to be more productive
through SEO ranking, keyword optimization,
and processing. Which means that
you can integrate this tool with the
Youtube channel. And it allows you to target
specific keywords or target specific topics
and it's going to find you what's trending
across the platform. Basically it goes in the back end and
searches the Internet. In terms of pricing, two
body is not very expensive. About $5 per month
for the startup path. The beauty of this too is
that you can go back in history and optimize
your older videos, which means you start
to get more of us. Make sure to check
out Q or two body. I'll leave the links down below
in the video description.
16. The Role of Hooks and Implementing Best Practices: Of hooks. Your hook, which is usually the first few
seconds of the video, should reinforce the promise made by your title and family. It's where you assure your views they've come to the right place. The video that clipped on will
deliver the value promised how to implement the best
practices. Test and learn. Experiment with different
styles and formats to see what resonates
best with your audience. Use Youtube analytics to
track the performance and make informed decisions
from those feedback. Pay attention to comments
and engagement metric. Viewer feedback can provide valuable insights into what's working and what's not work. Stay updated on the trend. Trends change, and so
do viewer preference. Keep an eye on
successful videos in your niche for inspiration
and new ideas.
17. Resources, Project Info and Documentation: Bonus, I've included
documentation and detailed instructions on how
to create a unique channel. You're free to check
out the resources in the description and
you'll find direct, step by step instructions on how to create a unique channel name. And even other
additional resources for creating thumb mails, Channel Arts, and all the
channel names as well. So make sure you check
out the video description for that additional content.
18. Succeed with Confidence in 2024: Tube channel recently surpassed
a significant milestone, 100,000 subscribers
after three years of consistently
uploading videos. When I started, I
had 100 subscribers, but since then thousands
of people from all over the world have
subscribed to my channel. This Youtube journey
has completely transformed my life from
my mindset and finances, friendships, business
relationships, and even self understanding. And I've developed my own voice and creativity along the way. And you can do the
same starting today if you're simply curious about this journey and the emotional, or technical, as
well as managerial skill sets needed to
succeed, then keep watching.
