1. Introduction: Welcome to YouTube
automation Mastery, dominating search
based channels. In this course, we're
going to talk about the ultimate method for
generating passive income, search based YouTube channels. Thanks to the great reception
we had in our first course, we made the decision to
create a second one. But this time specifically focused on the
best niche of all. These types of
channels are our go to place when we want to
learn how to do something. Safe to say that most
people have searched for this type of content on
YouTube at some point, whether it's to learn how
to make a specific dish, learn how to delete
an Instagram account or the classic,
how to tie a tie. But why would someone
take the time to create a video to teach
complete strangers, how to delete an
Instagram account? The short answer is because
it can be very profitable. Join us today and learn
how to start, manage, and completely dominate search based YouTube channels
that generate passive income
capable of turning your life around 180 degrees.
2. What is YouTube Search?: Hello, welcome to the first
class in this course, focused on YouTube Search. As always, we will start with the basics and then move on
to more specific topics. Let's begin. YouTube search is the process of
conducting a search on YouTube with the aim of finding a video that
fulfills the current need. For example, you
might be looking for information you
saw in the news, a song that was
recommended to you. A recipe or a guide
or tutorial to help you solve a problem
or gain new knowledge. From the perspective of
a YouTube channel owner, this is reflected in
the source of viewers or where the views on
a video originated. There are a variety of places where people can
access your videos, divided into two main groups, External sources, and
internal sources. External sources are places
outside the YouTube platform. This could be when a viewer
directly accessed your video from a search engine like
Google Bing or Yahoo. It could also be when
someone accessed your video through an
app like What's app? If someone shared
the video that way, views your video receives on other websites that have
embedded your video or have a direct hyper link to your video also fall
under external sources. The last type for
external sources is referred to as
direct or unknown. This category includes
visits where someone pasted the link to your video directly into their browser. Vews that come from someone
bookmarking your video, views from users not
logged into YouTube, and views generated through
unidentified applications. Internal sources are further divided into various categories, encompassing all the ways, someone can visit your video from within the
YouTube platform. Here you can see a table
showing them in more detail. However, we will also
mention them and provide examples for
better understanding, focusing on the
most common ones. Browse features. These comprise
views that your videos receive from the
YouTube home page from Watch Later playlists, where users save your videos, from the trending
or explore tabs, as well as other exploration features within the platform. Channel pages. This is traffic that comes
directly to your videos, from your channel page
or from other channels. This occurs when someone
is browsing your channel, becomes interested in
one of your videos, and decides to watch
it. Campaign cards. Campaigns offer a way
to promote your content directly from user
uploaded videos that match your content. Specifically, when an asset
is part of a campaign, a promotional card is added to user uploaded videos that match your assets
reference file. This card links viewers directly to your content and screens. This is traffic generated from the screen you add to
the end of your videos, where you promote your content. Shorts. This is traffic generated by viewing
vertical content. That is less than 60
seconds on YouTube. Notifications, this is traffic generated by notifications
sent to your subscribers. These can be regular
notifications for subscribing to the channel or more
personalized notifications, such as by e mail. Other YouTube features, traffic generated
from other parts of YouTube that do not fall into any of the
mentioned categories. Play lists, this is traffic
generated from playlists, which can be playlists
you've created yourself, playlists created
by other users, and also includes users liked videos and favorite
videos playlists. Remixed video. This is traffic generated
when a user views a visual remix of content
created by you, sound pages. Traffic from the shared
audio results page found in the short vertical
viewing experience. Suggested videos. This is traffic generated from the suggested videos, sidebar, that can be seen on
each videos page, as well as the
suggestions that YouTube presents after the video
you are watching ends. Video cards, traffic that comes from promotional cards you
place in other videos, where you seek to promote
your videos within other videos using
a small card that appears at the top of
the video for 5 seconds. YouTube advertising. This is traffic
generated by promoting your video through paid
advertising within YouTube. Product pages, traffic generated on YouTube product pages, and the traffic source that interests us the
most, YouTube search, which is the traffic
generated from a search conducted using
the YouTube search bar. As you can see, there
are many sources that can generate traffic
to your videos. Often, you can specifically see the exact origin of where
the traffic was generated. In the case of YouTube search, you can see which keywords were used to reach your content. The case of suggested videos, you can see which videos have generated traffic to your video. You can do the same
with playlists and with external sites or apps. This allows you
to study in depth which traffic sources you
should work on and improve. But in our case, while every
visit counts and is welcome, YouTube search is what we want to optimize and
make the most of. In the upcoming videos, we will delve deeper
into what search based YouTube channels
are. See you there.
3. What Are YouTube Automation Search-Based Channels: Hello. In this class, we will talk about what
a search based channel is and its variations. A search based channel is a channel model in which the
content creator chooses to create videos on topics that users are constantly
searching for on YouTube, rather than creating
videos to capture the attention of those
browsing YouTube, or to build a dedicated
following who enjoy and eagerly
anticipate each new upload. In simple terms, that's the definition of a
search based channel. Typically, search based channels are channels that aim to solve problems or provide knowledge to those searching
for specific terms. For example, most
search based channels focus on creating tutorials
on digital topics. Terms like how to
permanently deactivate my Facebook account or how
to create a YouTube channel, have high search volumes. Although this type of
content is unlikely to capture the attention of someone not actively
searching for it, there are many people interested in using those
same search terms, hoping to find solutions
to their problems. Another example could
be cooking recipes. While not impossible, automating a channel of this
type is complicated because viewers
expect to see how the recipe is prepared and what the final
result looks like. So, if you want to automate
a channel like this, you would have to hire a chef to prepare the dishes
and film them, which would be
neither easy nor cost effective compared to
digital tutorials. However, under the
right conditions, it's something to consider. As you've probably seen, that recipe tutorial videos receive a large number of views. Within this channel model, we can add two more variations, physical tutorials
and study tutorials. Physical tutorials are
videos that follow the same pattern of using high volume search
keywords on YouTube, but solve problems
outside of a screen, such as how to change a
doorknob or how to tie a tie. With this type of video, a similar situation occurs
as with cooking recipes. The production cost is higher
because someone would have to film themselves doing
these hands on tasks. It's not impossible to
hire someone to do it. But it may be more interesting
for channel owners who have the skill and means to film the videos themselves. In the case of study tutorials, it is entirely possible
and feasible to outsource it the video
creation work because there are many incredibly
knowledgeable freelancers willing to share their expertise in exchange for compensation. Interesting about these
types of topics is that the RPM revenue permil is higher than for
digital tutorials, cooking recipes, or
physical tutorials. For the purpose of this course, we will focus on
digital tutorials as it is the most scalable and
easiest model to undertake. Once you understand it, it can open the doors to
expanding into any of the other three types of search based channels
we mentioned. In the next video, we will
talk about what to expect from a search based channel and the mindset you should approach
this new adventure with.
4. What To Expect From A YouTube Automation Search-Based Channel: Can you expect from a
search based channel? Like in any venture, there are various things you can
expect from this journey. There are both good and
not so good aspects, and we'd like to give you a fairly clear idea of what
this process would be like. Among the not so good aspects, you should consider
the following. You need to be aware
that this type of channel is not a quick
way to make money. Starting a search based
channel from scratch can take 6-12 months to monetize the channel because you need to publish a large
number of videos, and these videos often take months to rank
and gain traction. Based on what we're saying, you should be prepared to
wait a considerable amount of time and invest in video production
throughout this period. Might not sound like the most
appealing business model, but now let us mention the good things you can expect
from this type of channel. The investment cost is low. We've created videos for as little as two
to $3 per video. If you decide to produce
around 20 videos per week, the cost would be
$40 per week or $160 per month for 80 videos. This is even less costly than
generating three videos per month in an automated YouTube channel in
a different niche. Beyond this, you have
to understand that these videos will generate
a snowball effect. They won't stop generating views no matter how
much time passes. Some videos will generate more and others
will generate less. But in the long run, they will continue to accumulate views. There's even the
possibility that a video that seemed to
have no traction for about three months
could be picked up by the algorithm
and start ranking. You can expect a stable source of income that doesn't consume your time and provides you with the freedom to do what
you want with your time. Ultimately, you can
expect to develop a new and healthy obsession
with this business model. Something that happens
to all of us when we start seeing a stable
income coming in. It's impossible not to want to produce more and
better videos when you realize that it's
possible to generate life changing income with
this business model. Later in the course, we'll
discuss how it's possible to start generating income from the beginning of your journey. It's not through
affiliate product sales. As we've already mentioned in our course, YouTube
automation 0-0. It's another approach that we can take advantage of thanks to the flexibility offered
by search based channels.
5. Advantages Of A YouTube Automation Search-Based Channel: Hello. In this class, we're going to discuss
the advantages of a search based
channel compared to regular automated
YouTube channels. Since this is another
YouTube automation course, the comparison will be
directly with this type of channel and not with personality based channels,
meaning YouTubers. The biggest advantage that
search based channels have over automated channels in
other niches is flexibility. Flexibility, we mean the
ability of these channels to adapt to a wide variety of topics without affecting
the channel's performance. You can publish tutorial
videos on creating an electronic portfolio one day and change your TikTok
password the next. As you can see, the first
video is related to business, which interests a slightly older and more
professional demographic. While the second video is more appealing to
younger individuals. These are quite
different audiences, but in the case of our channel, this demographic shift
is not relevant because we're not expecting
the algorithm to target a specific
group of people. Want both the person
looking to learn how to create an electronic
portfolio and the one looking to change their
TikTok password to visit our video when searching for solutions to these
problems on YouTube. From this perspective,
the possibilities within the same channel
are almost limitless. You can publish videos that are not necessarily
related to each other, you can even publish videos in different languages
within the same channel. S. As crazy as it may sound, not having to depend on the same algorithm that most YouTubers want
to break gives us immense flexibility
that allows us to take our channel to levels that other
channel models cannot. Another significant advantage
is production flexibility. In an automated channel, you need to keep producing
videos because eventually, the videos you've already
published will lose a significant portion
of their traction. If this is the case, what happens if you stop
producing videos? Well, your income
will likely decrease considerably if you decide to take a couple of months off. The case of search
based channels, if you decide to take a two
month production break, it's more likely that
your monthly income will increase rather than
decrease. Why is this? Because it's almost certain that one of the videos you had
published that hadn't ranked yet will be picked up by the algorithm and rank higher
than it previously did. It's also possible that a
video you already had well positioned has started ranking
for some related keywords. It wasn't ranking for before. Number of topics you
can create videos about is much larger than in
channels in other niches. When starting a
channel from scratch, you may have to choose
more specific topics to rank with less competition. But as your channel grows, it will become easier to
rank more videos at the top. However, we don't
recommend ignoring broad topics with a high search volume,
even when starting. Because if you make a good
video that appeals to viewers, the algorithm may decide to rank your video regardless of
whether your channel is new. From a personnel
management perspective, it's much easier and more
comfortable to deal with a single freelancer than having to deal with
a group of them, simplifying the administration
of your channel. For all these reasons, starting
a search based channel is much more beginner
friendly than starting a channel in any other
niche. As long as you as the channel owner, are able to understand that there is a waiting period and
that the growth of your channel may
be somewhat slow. Search based channels are our top recommendation
for entering the world of YouTube automation. These are just some of
the advantages that a search based channel has over an automated channel
in another niche. Later in the course, we'll provide a list of
differences between these two channel
models that will allow you to thoroughly understand how they differ from each other.
6. Search-Based VS Other Niches: In this class, we
will specifically list the differences between a search based automated channel and an automated channel
in other niches. As we mentioned earlier, the production
cost per video for a search based channel is much lower than that of a
channel in another niche. Our production cost per video in a search based channel is around $2 for a video that
is one to 2 minutes long. This cost includes video
capture, editing, and narration. You also delegate the
creation of the thumbnail, the cost would be
$2.50 per video. It's quite a difference
when compared to the production cost of a
video in another niche, which can be around $60. Now, it's a bit unfair to make a direct comparison because
videos for a channel in another niche need to have a much higher production quality and are usually around
8 minutes long. However, where we can make
a direct comparison is in the monthly investment required for these
types of channels. It's typical for a
search based channel to publish about 20
videos per week, although there are channels
that publish many more. Still, I dare say that 20 videos per week is a standard
for this type of channel. Automated channel in
another Niche should, as we mentioned in
the previous course, see what the average is that
their close competitors are publishing per week and try
to publish one or two more. Typically, such channels publish about three videos per week. We would recommend
publishing at least one more resulting in a production
of four videos per week. If we do a quick calculation, we can see that the
production cost per week for a search based channel would be $50, including the thumbnail. Meanwhile, the production cost for an automated channel in another niche would be
around $240 per week. There's a significant
difference in the investment required for these two
types of channels. Starting with a
search based channel is much more beginner friendly for those getting started with YouTube automation. Regarding topics, the
flexibility is much greater. You can create videos
about any program or website that has a
large number of uses. You can make videos
about Snap chat, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Duolingo,
or even YouTube itself. The number of situations
you can address on each of these
platforms is really vast. Don't forget the ability of
these channels to support different languages without
affecting their performance. This is impossible for other
channel models because the algorithm would get confused when suggesting content
from your channel. Similarly, the number
of topics that can be covered is more limited
for other channel models as they are restricted
to the specific niche and topic that is relevant
at that particular time. Staying on the same line of how the algorithm suggests
content to viewers. We can say that search
based channels do not have a group of loyal subscribers
to their content. This means you don't have to worry that a video you publish doesn't align with
the interests of your subscribers
because in fact, most search based
channels do not send notifications to
their subscribers when they release a new video. Why is this? Well, imagine your subscribe to a channel that publishes 20 videos a week and you're constantly
receiving notifications, saying the channel has
released a new video. Besides, what are the
chances that the video on how to recover your Snapchat account that you're
about to publish, will interest someone who subscribe to your channel
because they found a video on how to digitally sign multiple PDF
pages quickly useful. Not only will you not receive initial views from
your subscribers, but you will also annoy them
with constant notifications. This results in the
subscribers you worked so hard to gain, starting to unsubscribe
from your channel. Subscribers serve two purposes
for search based channels. The first is that
you need at least 1,000 subscribers to monetize. The second is that although YouTube has stated that
the number of subscribers, a channel has lost some
weight in terms of how they influence the algorithm in deciding which
videos rank higher, it still does have an influence. So the more subscribers
you have on your channel, the easier it will be
to rank your videos. These same two occasions also influence automated
channels in other niches. The difference is
that these channels, relying so much on
algorithm suggestions, need the algorithm to have a clear idea of the type of viewers consuming
that content. The most effective
way to do this is by using your subscribers
as a reference. As for search based channels, this is not relevant to
us because our source of visits comes directly from
searches, not suggestions. An important difference that
we already mentioned in the previous class
is the time it can take for search based
channels to gain traction. While videos in other niches can go viral because
they are usually trending topics or aimed at capturing the attention of
a large number of people, and consequently growing
your channel quickly, search based channels
take much more time. This is because it's
very likely that the tutorial videos
you're going to create already exist on YouTube. It may take some time
for the algorithm to realize that your video offers a better solution than other videos offering a
solution for the same problem. A search based channel can take six months or
more to monetize, and this is entirely normal. It takes a cool head
to keep going on this path for so long
without monetization. In contrast, a channel
in another niche can potentially monetize
in about three months if things are managed correctly. We mentioned earlier,
the production quality of a search based
channels video does not necessarily have
to be as high as that of an automated channel
in another niche. The reason for this is
that in tutorial videos, we want to provide a solution
or knowledge to the viewer, and this is what the
viewer is looking for too. If you provide a good solution, the viewer won't mind if the quality of your
video is not cinematic, or if your voiceover
isn't the most pleasant. On the other hand, videos
from automated channels in other niches do need
to have a high level of production because
we are trying to capture the attention of viewers who In many cases are not even looking for a
video on that topic. When it comes to
search based channels, more emphasis is placed
on the quantity of videos that can be produced
rather than the quality. Of course, always maintaining a minimum standard of
editing and content quality, that provides the viewer with the information they
are looking for. The way this type of
search based channel is managed is also a bit more convenient since a
single freelancer takes care of the entire
production process. It is much easier to deal
with a single employee than to have to deal with a freelancer
who creates the script, another who does the voice over, another who edits the video, and another who
creates the thumbnail. If you are a student from
our previous course, YouTube automation
0-0, you will remember that we strongly recommended not using a single freelancer
to create videos. Yes, we stand by that. If your channel is
not search based, don't hire a single freelancer. Hire four experts who will
elevate the quality of your videos to a level that gives you an advantage
in your niche. But in the case of
search based channels, as quality is not our priority, and the videos are much
simpler and shorter, you can afford to hire a single freelancer
to handle everything. The attention that
needs to be given to a search based
channel is not the same as that required for
other automated channels. As we mentioned in
the previous class, a search based channel does not require you to constantly
publish videos, and this also does not affect
the channel's performance. In fact, by its very nature, there is a great chance
that if you take some time off from
publishing new videos, the channel will continue
to grow on its own. This is the great thing about producing evergreen content. Meanwhile, with channels
and other niches, your content will often
be related to trends and will eventually lose much of
the traction it once gained. Regarding RPM, the truth is that it depends
on each video. Since you don't have
a clear subniche, you can have videos that
generate an excellent RPM of $30 and other videos that
yield an RPM of two to $4. These latter ones, of course, will be the majority of
the videos you publish. But this low RPM
is compensated by the large and continuous views that this type of
video tends to get. Other differences we can mention are that the
time when videos are published is not relevant
for search based channels. Also, gaining subscribers can be more difficult
because many viewers upon finding the solution
they were looking for ten to close the window. These are some of the
most relevant differences between these two models
of YouTube channels. In the next class,
we will discuss how much money a search
based channel can generate. See you there.
7. What Kind Of Topics We Can Cover: Let's talk about the types of topics covered in a
search based channel. In previous classes, we
mentioned some examples, but this time, I'd like to delve a bit deeper
into this topic. As we already know,
search based channels can be about digital
or physical tutorials. However, due to their ease of
production and scalability, we will continue to
emphasize digital tutorials. In a channel of this kind, our goal is to solve a
problem for the viewer. With this in mind, we need to narrow down the topics
to digital ones. We achieve this by focusing on digital platforms with
a large user base, such as social media
platforms like Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook,
or Instagram. We also have video
games, like oblock. Browser extensions
are often underrated. In this realm, Google
Chrome is definitely the king with extensions that have hundreds of
thousands of users. You can also touch on
topics related to devices, such as iPhones or androids. Any kind of solution that can be provided
for problems with a high search volume is worth considering when
creating a video. This is what you
should focus on. High user volume,
digital platforms, and the issues said user
may face when using them. Let's take social
media, for example. Many Instagram users
have trouble performing actions that may seem
simple to others. For instance, it may be
straightforward for you to figure out how to switch an Instagram business account back
to a personal one. However, there are users who don't naturally get
along with technology, and there are also older users
who easily get confused, not to mention that
these types of applications are
constantly being updated. The processes for certain
actions can change. This is where we, as
owners of these channels, come in to offer these individuals a simple and easy to understand solution. When you're starting
your channel, our advice is to create videos that have a
high number of views. Without paying much attention to the RPM, they may generate. Is because you must remember that before you can monetize, you need to meet the requirements
of 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time to be part
of the partner program. A niche that generates a large number of
views and can help you monetize your channel
quickly is the gaming Niche. For example,
Roadblocks alone has around 66 million
daily active users. You manage to rank a video
with a high search volume related to roadblocks or
another trending video game. The time it takes to monetize can be significantly reduced. On the other hand, topics with a high RPM generally do
not generate many views, but you should not
neglect them because once you have successfully
monetized your channel, they can change your
life completely. Later in the course, we
will teach you a strategy on how to find topics
with a high RPM. But let's not get
into that just yet. First, we must learn how to find good topics for our videos, because this is not
done by guessing. See you in the next class.
8. How Does A Search-Based Channel Behave?: In this class, we're
going to show you how search based
channels behave. You might be wondering how a YouTube channel can
behave differently. Well, that's how it is. YouTube channels behave
just like their videos, and Videos from
search based channels are known for their
upward trend. Not all of them, of
course, but many. As you can see, the
graph looks like a mountain climb or a roller
coaster ride going up. It's a clear upward trend. Here you can see
several examples. These are from a
relatively small channel that isn't even monetized yet. On the other hand, videos from other types of channels tend
to look like a hockey stick. They form an L shape. These videos are often pushed by the suggestion algorithm
at the beginning, and as a result, they often get a good number of views if
the engagement was good. But once the algorithm
sets them aside, it becomes difficult for
them to receive views. This translates to the
fact that if you're not constantly
posting new videos, the channel's performance
will decline. Returning to the
search based channel, although this is a small
channel that doesn't receive many visits yet, and As you can see, it also doesn't have a steady
flow of posts. Here you can clearly
see that there are long periods of time
when no posts were made. However, the number of
visits still grows steadily. These peaks you can observe are because one of the videos
provides a solution to a problem that a platform
experiences every now and then. Around every 20 days when the
platform encounters issues, this specific video receives a large number of
visits from Google. From people searching for a
solution to this problem. But let's not rely on
just one reference. Here you can see the growth of different search based channels. As you can see, they all
behave very similarly. Anyway, I'd like to
clarify something. Not all the videos you publish on a search based
channel will rank. That would be excellent,
but it's not how it works. It's more of a numbers game. The idea is to
publish hundreds of videos because some of them
will rank in just a few days. Others will start gaining
traction in months. Of course, there will
be some that won't achieve the level of
activity you expect. This is normal. No one really knows how the YouTube
algorithm works. Nothing guarantees
that all the videos you publish will be a success. For this reason, we
have to be careful and focus on all the things that
can help us like good SEO, a good thumbnail, good editing, good keyword research, your number of
subscribers, et cetera. Well managed search
based channels, share something in common. Compound growth, which makes this business model one of the most interesting and
exciting ones today. I really can't think of other business models
that allow you to have exponential growth with
such little investment in both money and time. In the next class, we'll
start discussing the types of topics covered in search based
channels. See you there.
9. How Much Can A Search-Based Channel Generate?: Much can a search based
channel generate? We are now asking
the right questions and you'll like the answer. The truth is that the
income generating capacity of a search based channel
is practically unlimited, and I'll explain how
this is possible. Search based channels generate a compounded effect as
you publish more videos. Yes, there will be times when some videos lose a
bit of traction. This can happen
because the solution you offer in that video
is no longer viable, or because the algorithm decided to give another video
the opportunity and ended up generating better results in terms
of audience retention, click through rate and
engagement than your video. But this doesn't
happen very often. As you continue to publish
videos and as time goes by, you'll have more
and more videos in higher positions that bring you more views and more money. If you add to this
the ability to create videos in
different languages, the income generating capacity is even greater,
if not unlimited. What limits you to create
videos only in English, or what limits you only create
videos in two languages? You can produce videos in seven different languages
without any problem. In case you like to keep your channel organized
with just one language, you can create channels
for each language. That's the great opportunity
that YouTube presents to us, allowing us to create as many channels as
we want for free. If you also consider
the possibility of offering affiliate products or print on demand merchandise, your income can
increase even more. The next class, we will look
into this in more detail, but we can confirm
without a doubt. There are search based
channels generating anywhere from $500 a month because they are just
starting out to over $20,000 a month through the
affiliate program alone. This is the greatness
of this business model. The possibilities of generating life changing income are high. You just need to have the
right mindset to endure those first few months until you become part of the
affiliate program. In the next class,
we will show you several search based channels that are killing it with
this business model. Hopefully, you'll be as
motivated as we were the first time we realized
how this works. See you soon.
10. Example Of Successful Search-Based Channels: Hello. In this class, we want to show you evidence of how much money search based
channels can generate. Hopefully, this
will also motivate you not only to complete
the entire course, but also to take action and
start your own channel. First, let me explain how
we're going to do this. We're going to review three channels that
are doing very well, just three to keep it
from becoming tedious. To see the statistics, we'll use the same
tool we used in our first course, social blade. If you're not familiar with
it, we'll explain briefly. This is a website that
allows you to see the performance of
YouTube channels. It shows statistics like how many views they
get per month. A range of income a
channel may be generating, the ranking of the channel
in its home country, subscriber growth, and similar data that can
be quite interesting. But in this case,
we're only going to focus on possible
monthly earnings, annual earnings, and
the number of views. You'll notice that the
channels we're going to look at have different
editing styles. But don't worry
because the purpose of the video is the same. We'll also comment
on how they differ. Let's get started. The
first channel we're going to look at is one that's
very popular right now. The name is Trevor Nas, and this person decided to use his personal name
for his channel, and we'll show you why. This channel has a good size
with 336,000 subscribers, which is a decent level of
authority to rank videos. Remember that this is not as
important as it once was, but it's still relevant
to the algorithm. Something important to note
is the number of videos. Trevor has published over
6,000 videos, incredible. As you can see, the branding of the channel is quite simple. The banner is
straightforward and the profile picture is
just a photo of him. If we look at his thumbnails, you'll see that they are
quite simple as well. They typically have
a dark background with a border generally matching the color
of the app logo being discussed in the video. An image of a screenshot from
the app and the app logo. The text is white, providing good contrast and readability. Here you can see the latest
videos Trevor has published, which was just a few hours ago. We also notice that he publishes a large number of videos
practically every day. Excellent work on his part. Now, let's take a look at
his most popular videos. As expected, his
most popular videos have surpassed 1 million views. There are a few things
to pay attention to. One is that his most
popular videos are on fairly common topics
like how to find Instagram password
and user name, how to hide all Facebook photos, and how to change your name
on Facebook, among others. Other relevant point
we can see thanks to the VDIQ extension is an estimated hourly view
count for some videos. Despite being published
for over two years, there are videos that
continue to receive 15, 40, or even more than
50 views per hour. This is simply great and shows the importance of working
with evergreen topics. Now let's watch one
of Trevor's videos. My Internet seems to be
acting a bit strangely, but I think it will still work. As you can see, Trevornas
videos are not faceless. He has opted for a
truly unique model that I haven't seen
on any other channel. In his videos, he is
always on camera, demonstrating the steps to follow and showing the screen of the mobile device on
the side to display the process and which
buttons to press. This sets Trevor's videos
apart from the rest, although it doesn't necessarily add to the content
of the video itself. However, viewers might
perceive a higher level of editing quality leading to
increased audience retention. Now that we've seen what
Trevornas videos are like, it's quite impressive that he publishes around
20 videos a day. With practice, I
imagine recording such a large number of
videos becomes quite easy, but I doubt he does
the editing himself. Let's take a look at his
channel on Social blade. Let's go straight to
what interests us. According to Social blade, Trevor is generating something $3000-47 thousand per month. Why such a wide range? Because social blade uses an
RPM range of $0.25 to $4. For this type of channel, he's likely experiencing an
average RPM closer to $4. How awesome would it be to be generating over
$45,000 per month? Such income can definitely
turn your life around. Even though Trevor is not managing this channel passively, I assure you that if he were to stop publishing for
a couple of months, his income wouldn't be affected. His videos have received nearly 12 million views in the last 30 days,
which is great. A bit further down, you can see this small graph of the
total weekly views. As you can see the
graph is on the rise, Just as we mentioned how these
types of channels behave. Now let's take a look
at another channel, it's called Guide Realm. Its owner seems to be
quite young and you've probably seen him if you've recently searched
for a tutorial. This channel has even
more subscribers than Trevor with around 475,000 subscribers and has
published about 2,400 videos. That's the first difference. In the thumbnails, the owner
usually shows his face. What does this demonstrate? The flexibility that these
types of channels have? Long as the thumbnail
stands out, not much else matters. If we look at the
most recent videos, we can see that guide
realms videos tend to have a better initial
performance compared to Trevors. What's the reason
for this? Well, it's very difficult to know for sure. It's not because guide realms thumbnails
have a human face. In fact, if you
quickly review them, you'll notice that
videos without a face in the thumb nail perform
better than those with one. There's a significant difference in the number of subscribers, but this alone isn't sufficient
to generate this effect. It also doesn't seem like this channel is buying
views. Yes, it happens. You can find channels that
sometimes have 7,000 views in the first 12 hours or videos
with more likes than views. But it doesn't seem
to be the case here. My assumption is
that the algorithm holds this channel
in high regard. They do excellent SEO. I'm not sure if you've noticed, but Guide Realm uses the phrase, full guide in almost
all of their videos. This can't be a coincidence. They've surely
tested many phrases and this one yielded
the best results. Other interesting point
is that the number of videos published on this
channel is lower than Traverse. It seems like they publish
about ten videos a day and you can see
the difference in the number of videos
between them. Now, let's look at their
most popular videos. This is interesting.
Video game related topics are an awesome source of views, and roadblocks is most
likely the best of them all. So many kids are day
and night playing this game that it'd be crazy to overlook
this opportunity. Look at these numbers. Out of the top six videos
on this channel, four are about roadblocks. The first one has
almost 5 million views, the second nearly 4 million, and the third 3 million. It's no coincidence. If we scroll down a bit more, it's pretty much
more of the same. These types of videos
may have a lower RPM, but they help you
gain subscribers, watch hours and
authority more quickly. Now let's watch one
of their videos. This one caught my attention
because not too long ago, I uploaded a video
on this topic, and it got taken down for
violating community guidelines. I want to see what
their content is like. The first thing
we notice is that the channel owner shows
their face in the intro. But once the actual
guide begins, they only show the screen
share of the device. Let's see the first method. Okay, now, let's
see another method. Definitely, this video is legal. In contrast, mind showed how to download any
video from YouTube. What's funny is
that I'm aware that such videos go against
community guidelines. But at that moment, I didn't make the connection. After a few days, when the video had
finally ranked and was generating an
excellent number of views, I received a community strike. For this reason, we'll have
a class later on about what types of topics to avoid to prevent strikes. Let's continue. Now, let's check out Guide
realm on Social blade. Here we can see that
this channel received 9 million views in
the last 30 days, which is 2 million
less than Trevor Nas. You can clearly see the
difference from those 4,000 videos
published by Trevor. The fact that Trevor publishes about twice as many videos
per day is quite noticeable. This guy's monthly
income should be around $36,000 through the
Partner program. Imagine being this young and making that much
money from your own work. That translates to nearly half $1,000,000 a year,
which is incredible. Now, let's look at the graph. As expected, it's on the rise. Great, just as we indicated. Now, let's look at
one last channel. Gauging gadgets is the
name of this channel. It has about 300,000
subscribers and around 1,600 videos published. In the most recent videos, we can see there's
no predetermined branding in their thumbnails. Again, this demonstrates
the flexibility of these types of channels. In Trevor Nass channel, the thumbnails had
a consistent design without human faces. In Guide realms, they had a consistent design
with human faces, and in gouging gadgets, they don't even have
a consistent design. Now, this is interesting, the number of views
their videos receive. What might be
happening here is that this channel has
notifications enabled. That's why they publish so infrequently compared to the other two channels
we looked at. This channel publishes
one video a day, but it's very likely that they
notify their subscribers. Of course, out of
300,000 subscribers, it's possible that
around 800 are interested in learning how to send a location on WhatsApp? Or nearly 1,000
are interested in learning how to delete a YouTube video from
the mobile app. This gives a significant
boost to these new videos, helping them rank more quickly. This practice shouldn't be
applied with new channels, since you can see it as if 1,000 people were
interested in the video, but 299,000 were not. From so many videos that don't capture their attention,
they'll start unsubscribing. If you have hundreds of
thousands of subscribers, this isn't really a problem, since you're monetized
and can regain subscribers with the
videos you're ranking. But with a new channel, you'll lose more subscribers than you have the
capacity to gain. We'll discuss strategies like
this in more detail later. Let's see what the most popular videos on
this channel are. Let me tell you something. These types of videos
that appear on this page definitely have a higher RPM
than the videos we've seen. How to record your screen
with OBS opens the door for companies offering such software to advertise in this video, even if they're competitors. How to fix a Chrome book
that won't turn on, allows for advertising
laptop sales, and so on. Kudos to the owner
of this channel for getting a lot of views on
these types of videos. They've surely made
significant earnings from them.'s even
better is that they continue to receive
views even after five years of being
published, which is amazing. Now let's see how they
edit their videos. Unlike the other two
channels we observed, this is a 100% faceless channel. It's the most common type
of search based channel, and as you can see, they can be equally or even more successful than channels
that show faces. It's just screen sharing, banners on the sides, and that's it, super simple. Now, let's take a look
at something we didn't pay attention to in the
previous two videos. Let's check the
description section and see if they have
affiliate links. This is interesting. The owner puts the tutorial steps
in the description. If they turn these into timestamps instead of
just writing them, their SEO would improve. That's a small tip for you. Yes, of course, as expected, they have a large number
of affiliate links. Excellent for them, they have links to software
like Tube buddy. Further down, they have a
list of affiliate links that include the devices they use
to produce their videos. Great. Now let's check
their social blade. Their graph. Of course,
it's on the rise. This channel had
about 5 million views in the last 30 days. This translates to around $21,000 per month
according to social blade. But considering what the most popular videos
on this channel are, it's quite likely that their
income is higher than this, including only the
partner program. We saw, they have
affiliate links, and with that amount of views, they probably generate quite
a few sales every month. That concludes this class. We wanted to make
it a motivation for you to make you
realize that it's possible to generate
wealth using this business model and that it's worth it,
really worth it, to go through those first
months of low traction calmly, without rushing and
being consistent, knowing that it's okay to make mistakes and try
different things, see you in the next class.
11. Should I Pick A Subniche?: Our perspective in these
types of channels, it's not worth
choosing a sub niche. What do we mean by sub Niche? Well, focusing on tutorials
about a specific platform. For example, Facebook, or maybe just concentrating on
tutorials for mobile devices. This greatly limits the number
of videos you can create. The truth is that niching down is a strategy
used in channels in other niches to avoid facing excessively
fierce competition. It's also used to convey
to the algorithm, what type of content you publish so that it can suggest
it more efficiently. At the same time, by having a channel focused on a subniH, it's more likely that there
will be users who can relate to or show interest in your
channel and subscribe. However, limiting the reach of your channel in
exchange for gaining more loyal subscribers is not a good business move for
this type of channel. This would go against
the flexibility of search based channels, which is their
greatest strength. Nonetheless, we've come across search based channels
that focus on tutorials, for iPhone, for example, and it seems to be
working well for them. If you look at it from
a global perspective, this would distance you from
an android user market that is almost 2.5 times larger
than the IOS market. In conclusion,
this is a decision that you as the channel
owner have to make. But if you were to
ask for our opinion, our response would be no, it's not worth dedicating
a search based channel to a subnis because it would
be a waste of potential. You would be leaving
on the table not only the possibility
of making even more money, but also complicating
your chances of ranking by limiting the topics you can cover on your channel.
12. Take a Look at My Video's CPM!: Hi. In this lesson, I'm going to show
you by firsthand, how much different topics within the Search
Niche are paying. Most teachers tell you how
much each topic is making, but they don't actually show you the screen directly
from YouTube studio. I wanted to do something
different. Let's start. You have already
seen the name of this channel I've been
using for the course, which just got monetized
a couple of weeks ago. So there's not a point on hiding the video titles
and things like that. This is the same
small channel I've been mentioning
along the course, and I like to try
new things with it. I just want to ask something. If you are going to take a look to some of this channels videos, please, and I mean, pretty, please, watch
the whole video. If you don't, that will affect negatively my
audience retention. I'm exposing myself
on this course. So please be nice and try not to mess with my
video statistics. Okay. Let's see those CPMs. We are here on YouTube
Studio dashboard. We need to go to Analytics
and now click on Revenue. We scroll down to find Top earning content right here and click on
the CMre button. This window opens up, and we get a bigger list of the
top 50 earning videos. As you can see, the
top earning video is about video games, which is a low paying niche, and it's in Spanish, but it's still generating
well over $1 CPM. Now I'm going to scroll down, feel free to stop
the video and take a good look on each videos CPM. Here, you can see a video about cash app and a
video about a bank. Even though both
videos are in Spanish, they have a really nice CPM of $15 or more, which is awesome. Now, I'm going to let the video run for a few seconds
so you can take a look. What do you think
in my experience, sometimes you see discrepancies, like a video about
Instagram has a $4 CPM. And another video about
Instagram has a $1 CPM. This is because the
later one is getting most of the traction from
countries like India, for example, where
the CPM is very low. But still, it is very
much well received. These kinds of videos are good to gain authority
for your channel, but eventually the idea is to create tons of videos
about high paying topics, like some you saw on this list, Clip chap banks, transferring
money related apps. Video edition related videos
have a nice CPM as well. I really hope you
like this video. I hope it motivates
you to start. This is proof you can make
money with this strategy, not just a sell
speech. See you soon.
13. Do We Land Promotions With a Small YouTube Channel?: Let me show you that
you can actually learn some collaborations, even with a small channel
under ten K subs. You have to understand you're
not going to retire with the money you'll make
from collaborations with a channel of the size, but you can make some money, you can reinvest in your
channel to keep growing. This lesson is going
to happen on Gmail rather than YouTube because this is where companies
will contact us. Of course, for this to happen, we need to make our contact
email if you don't do that, they'll have no way to
contact you directly. To make your email public, you need to go to YouTube studio and open the customization menu. Scroll down a little bit
and here you'll find the contact info box where
you can put your email. If a company finds one of your videos and would
like to contact you, they will go to
your channel page, click on Me and this box will open with information
about your channel. They will click here
to see your email and now they'll be able to contact you and propose
a collaboration. Now I'm here on
Emil and I try to filter the collaboration
proposals the best I could. And yes, we get a couple
of proposals every month. Let me open the first one. As you can see, this company, CSTIx software is interested
in collaborating with us. They make software for Windows, Mac, Android, and iPhone. This is what it says. I was watching one of
your recent videos, and I was impressed with the
quality of your content. Your videos are
informative and engaging, which is what we look
for in a partner. We think that your channel
the aligns perfectly with our product CSTRxPDF and we would love to explore the
possibility of collaboration. We will provide you a
product key to test our product and here's a link
to the software website. The problem is, some of
them will ask you to create a review video of their product and they give you a product key. In their minds, giving you
the product key to access the full version
of their software is good enough payment. And if you don't have any
interest in the product, it simply isn't worth the time of creating a review video. That's the reason I didn't
reply to them at first, but because they
contacted me again, I give them a chance to reply. Maybe they are willing to add
some money to the equation. Let's reply to them. Yan
Kush, you know what? Let's take a look at
the software first, so we're sure we want
to work with them. PDF everything gets easier. Convert PDF, so it's pretty
much like any PDF software. But the website looks good, very professional, so
that's a green light. Let's go back and reply to them. What I'm going to say
is something like this. Hi Yang yes, I'd be interested in
collaborating with you and guessing you living to create a video review of
six week PDF editor. But I would like to know what's their budget for the
video, best regards. And my. That's it. I'm trying to be direct because
they actually were not. They talk about being
interested in working with me, but they didn't tell
me what's their idea. So to shorten this conversation, I just asked them about their budget to know if
they're actually willing to collaborate with
me or if they just want me to create a
video for them for free. Now see another one. Something you have
to be aware of when collaborating
with companies is most likely they will
tell you they can only pay you via papal,
and that's okay. But because intention
people exist, you have to ask them to send
you a digital contract. This way, both parties are held responsible for their actions
and you cover your back. Imagine the scenario where
you take the time to create a review video for a company
and they offer you $100. You create the video and
after a couple of months, the video statistics
are not great and they decide to ask for
a refund via PayPal. Pay will hold that money until the case is settled and the only way to
cover your back is with a digital contract confirming you did
everything they paid you to do and also the fact that the videos performance will
not affect the deal in any. So there would be no reason
to ask for a refund. You got paid for
creating a video, not for generating
X number of views. In this case, they didn't
want to pay for the video. They were just
offering the product key like the one before. That didn't show you a
successful collaboration I did with a company I knew
before they contacted me. The conversation
happened in Spanish, even though they are
a Chinese company, it looks like they
are trying to get a piece of the Spanish
speaking market. I'll upload an attachment
with the conversation translated to English for you to read in case
you are interested. Were very direct with
what they wanted, and they asked for a
collaboration price on the very first email they sent me a completely
different approach from the other two before. They pretty much told
me they wanted to add something to the video
description and Pint Coming. For that, I charged them $20. That sentence or information
is there to stay. It's not like some sort of subscription you get paid every month in case
you are wondering. It's a one time payment for a very simple task that
as you can see here, it didn't affect my
video performance. A. In fact, the
collaboration generated me more money than the generated
revenue via YouTube ads. Then they asked me
to make a combo, do the same for a
different video for a total of 30 bucks. I had to decline because
that second video performs three times
better than the first one. I guess they were
using something like a Q to see the videos
visualization per hour. That kind of software may
know how many views a video got in the last hour but doesn't know the
full statistics. They thought the
second video had a worse performance than the
first one when in reality, it performs three times better. This is why I always say, there's no better place to get info from YouTube
than YouTube itself. But either way, we landed this collaboration
as you can see here. By the way, for
this collaboration, I didn't ask for a contract
because it was just $20 and the work that
I had to do was so simple that in case
something went out, my time wouldn't
actually be wasted. Now, you know, collaborations actually happen
with small channels and don't get
anxious whenever you start getting these
collaboration proposals. They are the ones
contacting you. If you don't like the
deal, just don't.
14. How To Grow Your Channel Size In Record Time: Come to this class, where we're going to talk about how we can use short form videos
to boost our channel. In our previous course, we delved deeper
into this topic, but this time we'll cover it more superficially
because we don't need to be very specific
with what we publish thanks to the flexibility that search based
channels offer. Search based channels, we can use shorts to
gain subscribers. It's an excellent way to
quickly acquire subscribers because YouTube promotes
this type of content. If the short has
good engagement, it's not crazy to reach tens of thousands of
views in one day. To demonstrate the
effectiveness of this strategy, we are currently in the
analytic section of a fairly new channel that hasn't received the
attention it deserves. But you can see that
in the last 90 days it has gained 221 subscribers. This image shows videos
and shorts together. If we click on the content tab, you'll see the typical behavior
of a search based channel with a rising graph, even though not many videos
have been published. If we go to the shorts section, you'll notice that
they initially see a surge in views,
but then level off. However, this would be a problem if it weren't for this
little number here. Out of the 221 subscribers, this channel has gained 102 have come from shorts,
which is nearly half. During this time, only 15
shorts have been published compared to three or four
times more long format videos. So, there's real
utility in shorts. Don't overlook them, especially
if you're starting with a new channel as they will
help you grow much faster. What type of content should you publish in shorts?
Here's the best part. You don't really have
to worry about aligning the content you publish as shorts with the content
of your channel. In this channel,
you can see that the best shorts feature a man talking about
life experiences, which have no relation to the tutorials published in
the long format videos. Still, they've gained a
good number of subscribers. Since we don't send notifications when we
publish new videos, these subscribers are less
likely to unsubscribe. Where can you find content
to publish as shorts? Well, if you think you have any tutorials that can
generate high engagement, go ahead and publish them
as shorts, nothing is lost. But in our experience, it's better to
publish content that a large number of
people can relate to. Best place to find content
is directly from YouTube. You can download
the video and edit it so that only the important
parts are in the short. If you decide to take content from Instagram Reels or TikTok, our experience is that even
if you edit the videos, they won't be promoted
by the algorithm. I don't know how it
recognizes them, but they simply don't
generate even one view. The other hand, by repurposing videos from YouTube itself, we've been able to generate
a good volume of views. So if you come across a video with information that you find
suitable for a short, save it as it could be a source of a good number
of new subscribers.
15. Jumpstart Your Channel with Shorts & AI To Create Them: Hi. Now let me show
you why we say shorts are an awesome way
to jumpstart your channel. I'm here on YouTube Studio. Allow me to go to
my short content. Here we are. Shorts.
The best way to make use of them is to create a community and
jumpstart your channel. Here I am in my
search base channel, but the concept is the same for any YouTube
automation channel. How do we make that?
Well, because you get a lot of exposure
with YouTube shorts, these are a great way to get
subscribers really fast. Let me show you ten saps from this one this one only got two. This one got me
five subscribers. This other one got me 15 subs. It may not sound like much, but when you're just
starting getting around 30 subs a day,
it's incredible. This one has got
me 60 subs so far, but this one stuck around, so it keeps generating subs, which is very much appreciated. What do I want you to do
with this information? Whenever you are
starting a new channel, you should post
three to four shorts on your channel every day for more than 15 days in a row before you post your
first long form video. Of course, your shirts have to be relevant
for your niche. In this specific channel, the shirts are not related because it's a search
based channel. I'm not looking to
create a community. I just want to run my video. In a channel in any
other niche like movies, sports, cars, whatever, upload charts
related to your niche. People who subscribe because of those shorts will be interested
in your long videos. It's very likely you'll get views from upload notifications, and the best part is
YouTube's algorithm will have a better idea of what
your target audience is. It would be like your
training the algorithm to understand what kind of
people will enjoy your video. So remember for new channel, three to four shorts every
day for at least 15 days. On the 16, you can start
uploading your long from videos. If you want to keep
uploading shorts after your first long video
upload, that's great. It will keep getting you
tailored subs to your channel. This strategy will help
you to reach the 1,000 subs and 4,000 hours of
WatchT requirement faster. Taking into account
shorts won't count as WatchT for the
YouTube partner program, but it will get you subs that will be willing to
watch your long video. Let me show you an
awesome AI that will create amazing shorts using
your long form videos. I know there are several
AIs that do this, but this one is actually
really good at it. We are on clap APP,
as you can see here, have already uploaded
a long form video from which we are going
to create the short. I'm sure you remember this video from Brandon
Chephr Channel, over Complicating famous B. See the short it created
from this video. You can see it shows
a relat score. I 75 a 100, which I guess is not that
bad for such a niche topic. It gives you a summary of
what the short is about. It also has a transcript and the short is 53 seconds long. Let's play. Let's start off, let's go full
scrap text from the head. Because I want to give
our boy something he's never had before a body. Now, I don't know
about you guys, but any time I looked
at the original logo, I always imagined him
as a little showman, you know, kind of like the
ring leader in a circus. So let me just get
some reference here. Now, if this isn't clearly a trained professional, I
don't know what it is. So let me just
drop this in here. Get rid of all these posers. Then just rearrange
his body here. So basically, I'm just going to do an illustration
for all of this. I just want to set up a
base for reference first. Now, I'm not sure a whip is
an appropriate item for him. So maybe a cane
would work a bit. Basically, everybody on
the Internet agrees that Mr. Pringle and the
Monopoly guy are twins. And since we all know
twins like Sherry, I'm just going to borrow
his arm and top hat here. The place right there. Let me get it so he doesn't
have two right arms. I guess this Bowtie logo
should be a tad bigger, so it can kind of act as a
natural cut off to his body. And maybe I can scoot
everything down just a bit to get it
all more centered. Do you think? Pretty good. It's worth mentioning
that those scenes are not in order,
are not linear. The AI trim and
cut the scenes to make the shorts and the captions
is a really nice touch. Even the audio match perfectly. No wear cuts either on
the video or the audio. Clap not only
generates one short, it generates ten shorts from the same video,
which is amazing. The first one is always better. You can see we can download it and even edit it
directly from clap. You can see the caption,
SIM cards, and everything. Sadly, clap is not a free
service. Let's see the plans. The basic plan is enough honestly when you are
just starting out because it allows you to upload ten videos which transform
into 100 shorts. For only $29, you get
100 shorts a month. That's $0.29 per
short, super cheap. Even if you don't like
some of the shorts, you saw you can edit
them to your preference. Want to go crazy or
you have a lot of long form videos from
which you can get shorts, then the plan Clap pro is a really good option
because it lets you upload 30 videos. For this AI, I don't have
a promotion code or link, so I'm just going to add the regular URL on this
lessons attachment. No point on adding
a feeler link. If you, the student, don't get any benefit from it. Hope you like this AI that will totally help you with your shorts production.
See you soon.
16. How To Find Good Video Topics For Free: Welcome to this class where we're going to talk about how to find good video topics for
our search based channel. We can narrow this down
to three main strategies. Of course, there are more, but these three are the most common using our best friend, the YouTube search bar, using software that provides
a list of possible topics or the old and reliable method of checking out the
competitions videos. Let's start with the most basic and actually
the best of all. Those who dominate the basics are often considered masters. The YouTube search bar is an almost endless
source of video ideas. Because as you begin
typing a phrase, it will give you a list of
recommendations that YouTube thinks might interest you based on what you've
already written. To use this, it's best to open a new incognito window so that YouTube doesn't have
information about us. It will show the
most popular topics, instead of those it
thinks you might like. Open YouTube and start
typing in the search bar. If you type how two, the bar will offer you the following auto complete options, organized by the
number of searches. Here, you can already find some interesting video ideas like how to make AI cover songs, how to edit PDF, or how to recover deleted
photos from iPhone. To get more specific topics, we can now type in A, quickly scan the options, and if you find something
that catches your eye, write it down for
further investigation. After finishing with
A, we move on to B, go through the same process of identification and proceed with the letter C. I imagine you're getting the idea of
how this process works. It may seem a bit tedious
and even mechanical. But without a doubt, it's one of the best ways
to get good video ideas. What happens when we run out
of letters in the alphabet? Well, it's simple. We
just add one more letter. In this case, we
can search for AB, take a look, and if
there's nothing useful, proceed to search for AC. In this combination of letters, we can find topics more in line with what
we're looking for. We can see interesting topics like how to activate chat in row blocks or how to activate
two F A on fortnight. Can go further and
take a look at AD. Again, here we can see topics
that might be interesting, like how to add music to Instagram post or how to add
music in Facebook profile. I'm not saying these are
worth making videos about, but they are possible topics that may be worth investigating to make an informed
decision about whether to create a
video on them or not. Now, let's try something
a bit different. Instead of searching by letters, we can search using verbs. For example, we can try delete, so we look at the results
for how to delete. A little tip, if
for some reason, the search bar doesn't
show you suggestions, add a space, and it should work. I don't know if this
happens to everyone, but it happens to me
from time to time. Continuing, as you can
see in the suggestions, we get a list of several topics that would be relevant to us. How to delete an
Instagram account, how to delete a YouTube channel. Practically, all the topics on this suggestion list apply. Although the one
that might be a bit more challenging to do is how to delete PS four games because it requires having a playstation four, but it's still doable. Now we can try how to change. Although not all the results
on the list are useful, there are some that
we could work with. Any topic that we can create a screen recording video
for is a possibility. We can further filter the
results by typing one of the platforms we
know we can work with, for example, Instagram. The search bar
presents a list of suggestions for topics
that include the term, how to change Instagram, such as changing the password, changing the user name, changing the profile
picture, et cetera. Can do the same with Facebook, and although the
results are similar, you'll notice
they're not the same because these suggestions
aren't shown generically, but are taken from user
searches on the platform, containing the
term, how to change Facebook or how to
change Instagram. Now we're going to show you something interesting that
not many people know. What if you want the
suggestion bar to show suggestions for words that are in the middle of a sentence? For this, we can use the
underscore. How does it work? For example, if we
want suggestions on how to do something
on Facebook, we would write how to
underscore Facebook. The bar will automatically show results ignoring the underscore. But if we add an extra
space between Facebook and the underscore and then delete it, something magical happens. The tool bar shows
us suggestions of different verbs in place
of the underscore, and not only that, but sometimes it also
provides long keywords by suggesting complete sentences
with words after Facebook. I don't know if you understand
how powerful this is. Right now, YouTube is
presenting us with the most searched suggestions on the entire platform for how
to do something on Facebook. Here, we're not relying on third party software
or guessing. The platform itself
is telling you, Hey, these are the most common
searches on all of YouTube for how to do
something on Facebook. This is simply fantastic. Now, let's try to do the
same thing with Instagram. Here you can see the results. Now it's up to you how
to use this strategy. You can experiment a bit. For example, you can place the underscore at the
beginning to see if there are searches that don't use
any term other than how to. In this case, there are none. Well, this is how you can use the YouTube search bar
to get video ideas. Now let's take a look at
websites that provide us with a list of terms that can
help us get video ideas. The first one is
keywords heater com. This website offers a list of possible keywords
related to what we type. But before entering
our base keyword, let's change this
filter from classic to YouTube. Let's close this tab. Here we are again. Now, let's
enter our first keyword. We'll use How to Instagram. I like to use an ellipsis here, although I don't
think it's necessary. Then click on Start sheeting. Now the website will start delivering a really long list of keywords that include the
term How to Instagram. It will keep generating keywords
until we click on Stop. So let's stop it. In
just a few seconds, we've got 323 keywords
with this term. The idea now is to
review this list and note down any terms that
catch our attention. Some are grammatically well written and others not so much, but they can still
give you ideas for videos that you might not
have thought of before. Now let's look at
another website. You ght to complete me Do Dao. This website is similar
to keyword sheeter, but provides results
in alphabetical order. We enter our term and
click on Auto Complete M. Here are our results,
453 results. As you can see, the results
are well organized, so this is a very
good website to check when you're
looking for video ideas. Let's move on to a third
website, exploding topics.com. This website is different
from the previous ones. It shows you trending
platforms on Internet. As you can see, some topics are locked because they have a
paid version of the website. But with the free version, we can still observe
most of them and perhaps find a platform that
is just getting traction, which we can create
videos about early. If we scroll down a bit, you can see something
interesting here, pre plea. A platform for
learning languages. From what we see on the page, it's been on the rise and has an excellent search
volume of almost 700,000. This suggests that it's worth researching more
about this platform because there may
be an opportunity to create several
videos about it. We can scroll down a bit
more or we can do this. In the filters at the top, we can choose technology and see companies of this type
that are gaining relevance. It's a matter of
searching carefully and noting and verifying those
that catch our attention. Now, Let's use another website, one that you probably used
because it's owned by Google. Google Trans is a very
good source of keywords. To use it, click on Explore. Right away we see this, it seems that Chat GPT still has a very
high search volume. Of course, ranking,
a video based on Chat GPT would be
extremely challenging. But if you manage to do it, it would be spectacular. We can click to see
other trending topics. There's nothing that
fits what we're looking for. Let's search for something. Let's type Instagram
alone because we're looking for recommendations
the page can give us. Of course, the search volume
for this term is very high. Let's scroll down to see what related terms to
Instagram it recommends. Here you can see Instagram
threads is trending. This seems to be
Metas response to Twitter and is gaining
some relevance again. Let's move on to the next page. Instagram notes is something
that might interest us. Let's see what else is there. How to see who blocked
you on Instagram is a keyword that keeps receiving a large
number of searches. Instagram Reels download might be useful. Let's click on it. Here we can see that
the web search for this term has been growing
over the last 12 months. An excellent feature of Google Trans is the
ability to filter the results among the
different search engines that the company owns,
including YouTube. If we select it, it will show us the search level this term
has had within YouTube. It's much lower than
the search volume it has in Google Search. But this doesn't discourage
us because we can get a lot of views for
our videos from Google. Our videos have the ability
to rank on Google itself and capture a portion of the high search volume
this term has on Google. This has been the
second strategy on how to get video ideas. Now let's move on to the third, which is checking out what
the competition is posting. For this, we go back to
YouTube and search for practically any term that can apply to this
type of channel. In this case, we're not
interested in the term itself, but in the different channels
that appear in the results. As a term, we can use how to
delete Instagram account. We simply start opening
different channels that appear in the results in new
tabs. Why do we do this? Well, because other search based channels are
just like you. Always looking for new video
ideas that aren't saturated. This is a way to ease the search work as in
the most recent videos. We can sometimes find a
video that's performing particularly well compared to others published
around the same time. This means there's an
opportunity in that keyword. Let's open two channels from this search and two channels
from another search. In this case, we'll use
the underscore and choose this term how to download
reels on Instagram. Now let's proceed to check them. When on the channels,
we go to the videos tab to see the most
recent videos. Let's see what we find here. Well, this channel isn't very helpful as it hasn't
posted for almost a year. Anyway, let's take a quick look. Let's go with the next
channel, Apple Gi. Again, we open the videos
tab and start looking for a video that's performing better than the others published
around the same time. Immediately, we find this one called How to reset
iPhone, Full Guide. It has around 2,300
views in one day, which is a significant
difference compared to the other videos published
at the same time with 20, 30, or 40 views. Let's scroll down a bit more to see if we find another video. Look at this one,
Facebook Password Reset. Has about 30 times
more views than the other videos published
around the same time. These two are keywords that
are worth exploring further. Let's check the other channels
to see what else we find. This channel is called Fas Tech. Let's go to the videos tab. It appears to be a channel that handles different
types of videos, not just search based ones. Some seem to be automated, but in another niche. There are several tutorials, but it's not a channel that particularly catches
my attention. Anyway, let's look
at this video, how to fix meta verified, not showing on Instagram. It has 14,000 views
in one month, which is quite a lot compared to the other videos
on the channel. Now, let's see the last channel. It's called Web Extensions. Although it has some
tutorial type videos, it seems to focus more
on review type videos. Well, in a couple of minutes
without delving too deep, we found three videos
that seem to have a good reception since
their publication. This is a good sign,
but we repeat. There's nothing that
guarantees that a video you publish will rank from the
start or even rank at all. These are the main ways
you can get video ideas. Later in the course, as a bonus, we'll mention how you can get ideas for videos
with a high RPM. In the meantime,
in the next class, we'll talk about an
excellent tool for getting keywords that
deserves its own class, which is why we didn't include it in this list. See you there.
17. Free & Reliable Tool To Find Keywords: The best tools to get keywords, surprisingly isn't mentioned on YouTube videos or
inexpensive courses. In fact, this tool is more
reliable than any you'll find, even more so than any pay tool. How am I sure of this? Well, because this tool
belongs to YouTube itself, who better than YouTube
to provide you with accurate information
about its own platform. This is YouTube's own
keyword research tool. To access it, you need to open YouTube studio
on your channel. Now, let's go to the
analytics section. Click on Research. This tool is provided by YouTube to content
creators to find high quality keywords based on data collected in
the last 28 days. First, let me tell you about
the tool and its parts, and then we'll put
it to the test. Here, you can see that
it has three tabs. Searches across YouTube is probably the tab
we'll use the most. Here, we can search
for any term, and the tool will
show us in order the most search keywords on the platform related
to that term. You can search for both
long and short keywords, and among the results, you'll see both long
and short keywords. Your viewers searches,
as the name suggests, shows you the most search terms among people who have
viewed your videos. This works better
for channels with a Sniche or those outside
the search based Niche, but you should definitely
check it from time to time. Saved is where you can see all the keywords you've
saved during your research. Now, let's go back
to the Search Across YouTube tab and type
how two as an example. Here, you can see in order the most searched keywords across the entire platform
containing the term how two. It displays a maximum of three pages with
ten terms per page. On the right side
of the results, you'll see a column called
search volume on YouTube, where you can see three
possible results, high, medium, and low. Of course, our goal is always to target keywords with
a high search volume. But it's not a bad idea to
try some that say medium. On this specific results page, even though there are
no specific numbers, we are sure that the term how to draw has a higher search volume
than the terms below it. Something we haven't
mentioned yet are these three filters at
the top of the results. The first one is a filter
for the type of searches. If you open it, you'll
see two options, all searches and
content gaps only. What does content gap mean? Let's search for
a term considered a content gap to see what
YouTube says about it. If we hover over
the question mark, a box pops up with the
following explanation. A content gap is a way of
measuring what viewers are searching for and
the results they find. A content gap can happen when Vewers can't find any
results for their searches. Viewers can't find an exact
match for their searches. Vewers can't find relevant
videos for their searches. For example, the content
is old or low quality. You may want to use a content
gap as a starting point to research videos that don't
exist or could be improved. Now, let me know if
there's a paid tool that offers this
type of information. Really isn't a tool
that does this. YouTube itself is
telling you, Hey, pay special attention to
these terms because it seems that the results aren't satisfying the viewers who
are searching for them. Is this a guarantee that your
video will be successful if you publish a well
optimized video for this term? O. Let me explain why. Sometimes you'll see that
a term like how to screen record on iPhone is
considered a content gap. But if we search for
this specific term, you'll see that there
are very similar terms that are not considered
content gaps, like how to record
screen on iPhone. Because these terms
are so similar, even if you target
the first one, you'll have to compete
with videos that have been optimized
for the second one. Nevertheless, content gaps are terms to consider
and investigate further because they increase the chances of finding
valuable keywords. The next filter is
four languages. Currently, this tool only
filters terms in English, Japanese, Korean, and Hindi. It's likely that they'll add more languages
in the future. However, these four
languages can be interesting since Japan and Korea are markets with good CPM, and India is a market with
a very large population. Last filter is geographic
and is also quite limited. Nevertheless, it includes
very interesting markets like the United States, the United Kingdom,
Australia, Canada, and India. It allows you to
see which terms are most searched for in
these specific countries. Now let's see how it works. Let's say you don't even have
a rough idea in your head. You can start
searching by platform. For example, you
can type Instagram. Here, you can see the
most searched keywords that include the term Instagram. If any of them catch your eye, you can click on
them and the search for that term will
open in a new tab. This is a great advantage
over regular searching in the search bar as
your research search will remain intact
in the first tab. For example, let's click on How to delete Instagram account. Here. You can check if
the video has potential. If you don't know how to
check this, don't worry. We'll have a lesson
on that later. If you suddenly find that this
keyword is very saturated, you don't necessarily
have to give up. You can use this same term
to do a reverse search. Copy and paste, the term, and the tool will
give you a list of variations of this term that are being searched
on the platform. Other option is to change
the verb to another one. In this case, we changed delete to erase and
started checking, or you can try the
term remove and review the terms until you
find one that looks promising. If you have a broad idea about
a topic you want to cover, you can use incomplete phrases. For example, if
you'd like to make a video about Instagram Sams, you can type Instagram theme. Here. You'll see a
variety of keywords containing these terms that might not have
crossed your mind. For example, a video about how to change themes
on Instagram is different from a
video about how to fix the issue of
the Themes option, not appearing on your
Instagram account. One more thing I'd like
to briefly mention is that you can treat the search
tool like a search bar. Let me show you a quick example. The tool automatically uses
the underscore function when adding words to the term we're searching for,
as we've noticed. What if we want it to include a specific term in
all the results? We can use quotation marks. If we search for the
term how to ro blocks. Hoping the tool will
show us a variety of keywords that include how to
do something in row blocks, it will show us these results. As you can see, none of these terms include how
to. Why does this happen? Possibly because these
other terms have such high search volume that the tool chooses
to show them to you. But if we enclose how two in quotation marks
and search again, this time, all the terms
include the how two part. As you can see,
this tool is quite comprehensive and
being YouTube zone, we consider it highly accurate. In the next class, we'll talk a bit about how paid and
free tools compare.
18. Paid Tools Vs Free Tools: Hello, welcome to this class where we are going to
discuss whether it's better to use paid or free tools to find relevant keywords. Considering the
previous lessons, I imagine you have a sense
of our stance on this topic. In fact, in our course, YouTube automation 0-0, we
already talked about this. Paid tools won't
provide you with any information that you
can't find for free. I understand that
it's nice to see search volume statistics in
numbers rather than levels. But who guarantees that the
numbers shown to you in software like VIDQ or
two buddy are accurate? We prefer to use the
tools provided by YouTube itself for
this type of research. YouTube's research tool even tells you what search
volume the keywords have. Better than YouTube
to give you data about its own platform?
Absolutely no one. This doesn't mean you can't get good ideas with these tools, of course, you can, just like
you can with morning fame. But does paying for these
premium tools give you an advantage over the
competition? Not really. We prefer to invest those $30 a month that these tools may
cost in creating 15 videos. Those 15 videos will be much more useful and profitable
in the long run. A big online
influencer conspiracy talking wonders about
these kinds of tools, especially to Buddy and VDI. The reality is that they
don't promote them, because the product
is excellent, but because they receive a
commission for every month, paid by those who registered through their affiliate links. This is not the type of
information we're here to share. We don't think it's right
to incentivize you to buy software that won't give you any advantage after you've
already purchased this course. It's like trying to
charge you twice. We don't support this
kind of behavior. We prefer to offer you free tools that
perform even better. Is our stance on this debate
between free and paid tools. If you want to investigate
paid tools, please go ahead. It's a decision you as the owner of your channel have to make. Don't let anyone put
ideas in your head. It's better to form
your own opinion. In the next class, we
will talk about a non active but free way to get
video ideas. See you then.
19. How To Find Free Curated Video Ideas: Hello. In this class, we're going to show you an excellent way to
get video ideas. Another one. As you create videos and they start
gaining traction, you'll notice that there will
be users asking you if you know how or if you can make a video about a
specific tutorial. Why is this so powerful? Well, it's very likely that if this user took the time
to write that comment, it's because they
have already searched for that tutorial and
couldn't find it. This won't always be the case. Sometimes they just ask without having done
a prior search. But it's worth
listening to them and investigating whether it's worth making a video on this topic. If you already have a channel
with substantial traction, and you're receiving
many comments. You can use the comments section in YouTube Studio to filter the comments and see only
those formulated as questions. To do this, open YouTube Studio, select the comments section, clear the I haven't
responded filter, and click the filter menu. From the list, select the Contains Questions
option, and you're all set. This makes it easier
for you to find these types of requests
on your channel because most or all people write these comments in the
form of questions. This is a passive way
to get video ideas. However, you can also apply the same strategy proactively. Although you may have
to search quite a bit before finding a good
number of potential videos. The way to do it is
straightforward. Just start opening videos
and read the comments, looking for users who
are requesting or asking if that channel can
create a particular tutorial. I don't really recommend the proactive approach
because you'll spend a lot of time in front of the screen and you can't filter, comments on third
party channels. But it's important to
know that it's an option. If you want to, give it a try, or at least stay sharp
paying attention to the comment section
whenever you're watching someone else's videos.
20. How To Verify If A Video Is Worth Creating: To verify if it's worth creating a video on a topic
you find interesting. This is quite simple and
will be based on SEO. Unlike if it were a
video in another type of Niche outside search
based tutorials. In this case, we cannot
rely solely on the videos that are performing best
for our competition. This is because in
digital tutorial videos, the same topic can have
hundreds and hundreds of videos that meet the
demand for that topic. Competition in these
cases can be tremendous, competing with hundreds of
videos from channels with tens of times more subscribers than yours can be challenging. So to confirm if it's
worth creating the video, we can do the following. Once we have a list of the
topics we want to confirm, I have several tabs open
here with different topics. Let's perform a search
for these terms. The first one we're
going to investigate is how to delete
Threads account. Once here, we proceed to check
the size of the channels that are ranked in the
top ten positions. The smaller the better, there's
no specific number here. I can only tell you that the smaller the
ranked channels are, the easier it will be
for you to surpass them. This doesn't mean
you can't rank above an account with hundreds of
thousands of subscribers. If your video is better and is better
received by viewers, you will eventually rank
above the larger channels. Here, we can see that
there are several channels with hundreds of thousands of subscribers in the top three. On average, the channels in
the top ten positions have about 200,000 subscribers,
which is quite high. We should also
look at the number of views they have received. The threads topic
is relatively new, so the videos are two
months or less old. However, you can see that even though it was
trending at some point, these videos don't have
large view counts. 16,000 views in two
months is not bad at all. But this is the video
with the most views, which doesn't make
it very attractive. Based on this, it seems that
we could discard this topic. We're discarding it because it doesn't generate many views. Now let's look at this
other topic about how to log into TikTok if you
forgot your password. You can see here, the size of the channels ranked
is even larger. But the number of views they receive is much more attractive. Let's not discard it just yet. Another important point is the
quality of the thumbnails. Ask yourself, Are my thumbnails more attractive than
those of these videos? If your answer is yes or at least almost yes, then
it's a good sign. Other point to
consider is the SEO. I don't know if you've noticed, but the videos that appear as results don't precisely use the keyword we're searching for. To confirm this, we open
the text search option by pressing Cutrol plus F
or command plus F on MAC. We paste our keyword there and see how many
matches there are. In this case, we found no matches among
the video results. The four that appear are
one from our search, and three are from
the VDC sidebar. This is excellent for us because the main weighting
factors within the algorithm are the
title and description. If there's no video
using this term and we add it both in the
title and description, we'll have an advantage
over the competition. This is recent enough to create this video because we know
it has a high search volume. And this specific term
is not used in the SEO, among the videos
already published. Let's search for one last term. In this case, we'll check how to get free
hair in roadblocks. The first thing we notice
is that these videos receive a large number of
views, which is excellent. At the same time, among
the rank channels, there are several with a
large number of subscribers, which is not so good. But if we scroll down a bit, we'll see a quite
small channel that has 86,000 views in just three
months, which is great. At the same time, if we
search the term on the page, it tells us that there
are nine results. Four we know are from DQ, and the others are shorts. There's a possibility of ranking long format videos using this term in the
title and description. Keep in mind when
creating the thumb nail, that this seems to be a
term targeted at girls. You need to create a thumb
nail that appeals to them. To be honest, despite the size of the channels
in the results, I would make a
video on this term. In search based channels, we don't have to be rigid. The production
cost of the videos allows us to take risks. There's a possibility that if we create a video on this
term, we may not rank. But what if we did
manage to rank? Among the results, there are several videos that receive
thousands of views per day. These not only generate income, but also provide you with a
large number of subscribers. This tells the algorithm
that it should try ranking your other
videos a bit higher. If we create this video, there's a chance of ranking, but if we don't create it, the possibility is
absolutely zero. Conclusion, we can say that to verify if a
video is worth creating, we need to review the size of the channels ranked
in the results. An average of 10,000 subscribers among the top
ten videos would be ideal. The fewer, the better. But this doesn't
have to stop you completely if this
condition is not met. The number of views
that the videos on this term receive
is very important. An average of 20,000 views
per month is a good sign. The calculation is quite simple. Divide the number of views by the months the videos
have been published. I on average, the videos receive more than 20,000 per
month, it's a good sign. SEO is one of the
most relevant points. We don't want to compete with dozens of videos
targeting the same term. Having fewer than ten videos optimized for the term
we're looking for is ideal. And finally, thumbnails. We always have to
strive to create the most eye catching
thumbnail to get a good CTR, which tells the algorithm
that it's worth ranking us. I hope that with this class, it's clear to you how to verify if a video
is worth creating. As you can see, it's
not an exact science, but there are points
of attention. We can observe to make
a final decision.
21. Watch Me Find Good Video Topics: Come to this class where
we are going to search for a good topic from scratch
to create a video on. For this, we will use the
YouTube search tool method. Once we're here, we type
how two in quotation marks to ensure that this
term is included in the search and
completed with account. We're looking for a high
volume search term related to how to do something with an
account on some platform. We take a look, searching for a term that's a bit
out of the ordinary, which in theory should be
easier to rank for. Here's one. How to remove Google
account from Android phone. We right click and
open it in a new tab. Down here is a variation
of the same term. Let's open it to to
see if one is less crowded than the other
in terms of SEO. Let's also open this one, which has the
content gap notice, how to disable
Instagram account. Let's take a look at this one, how to open a DMAT account. I don't know what DMAT is, so it could be interesting. Let's check the last page. Here's another content gap, how to verify your
YouTube account. Remember that content gaps are not a fixed thing to check. But these topics sound diverse. They're not the
most common terms, so they catch my attention. Let's confirm the
terms we've found. The first thing we notice
is that the thumbnails are quite unappealing in my
opinion, which is good for us. The videos have a
good number of views, but the channels
are quite large. Let's scroll down a bit more. Here's a video from a
much smaller channel that has a decent
number of views. It's a short. I didn't notice. Let's keep scrolling
down a bit more. To be honest, it doesn't
seem very promising, but before we decide,
let's see how often this term is
repeated among the videos. We open the text search. It's repeated 20 times. This is quite a lot for
such a long keyword. This term is a maybe, but it doesn't excite me much. Let's see the other
term, that was similar. The story is not very different as they are almost
the same videos, just in a different order. Let's move on to the term how to disable
Instagram account. Here we see that
a smaller channel is second, which is good. The number of views is good, but the problem is that the channels are quite
large in this term, too. Let's scroll down a bit more. Here's another video from
a small account that has received a decent number
of views in two weeks. Now let's see how often
this term is used. Only 16 results, of which I think more than
four are from VDIQ. We can see that much
further down the page. The term is repeated several
times. Let's take a look. Look. There are two
quite small channels that use this term in the
title and description. In fact, they got a very
good number of views in four months for such small
channels. This is a good sign. For this, we can
definitely create a video. Now let's look at our next term, how to open a DMAT account. This seems to be some
platform in Asia, but the number of subscribers these channels have
is incredibly high. Almost 10 million, 3 million, 2 million, 4.5 million. This is insane. We better
stay away from here. It doesn't make sense to
continue looking at this term. We're left with the term how to verify your YouTube
account, a quick look. No, large channels and
very low view volume. Anyway, let's check how
often this term is repeated. 75 times too much for us. Let's go back to
the search tool. Let's try to find another term
since we now have two nos. One maybe leaning
towards no, and one yes. I would like to find
at least one more term on which to create a video. This time, let's
try how to create. How to create a whatsapp
channel could be interesting. We open it in a new tab. Down here is another
one, how to create a broadcast channel on
Instagram. Let's see. I'm aware that the
WhatsApp topic may not receive much interest
within the United States. But you have to remember that it's the most downloaded app in history with over 5
billion downloads only on the Google Play Store. There's a huge market for
content related to this app. There's something I
like about this topic. Even though the channels present in the results
are quite large. We see that they have a
huge volume of views, and the top three videos are dedicated to
the Asian market. Videos for the Indian audience, for the Arabic audience. What opportunity
does this present? If you decide to create
a video on this topic, why not create a thumbnail featuring a Western
looking person? Remember, all of Europe, South America, and Central
America use this app. It's very likely they'll click on a video
that seems to be dedicated to them and
not to the Asian market. I'm aware that in all of Europe, English is not the
primary language. The same goes for Central
and South America, but there are people
who search in English. YouTube also tends to offer
videos in other languages once they have subtitles that match the viewers
default language. Look here, another plus point. Here's a video from
a channel with fewer than 1,000 subscribers that has around 23,000
views in three weeks. If we scroll down more, there's a video about creating a Whatsapp channel in Tamil. Here we find the first
video that seems to be aimed at a
Western audience, the numbers are quite good. But the title is
poorly optimized. If it had the correct term, it would surely have
many more views. Let's search how many times this specific term is repeated. 41 times is quite a lot, but I still see an
opportunity here. I really like this
term to be honest. Let's take a look
at the other term, how to create a broadcast
channel on Instagram. In terms of competition size, this is more like what
we're looking for. The channel sizes are around 12,000 subscribers in
the top three videos. The view volume isn't crazy, but since it's easier
to compete here, it's still a good option. Let's see how many times
the term is repeated. It's 23 times, which
is quite a lot. Let's try going back
to the search tool, and see if there's a variation of this term that's
less competitive. Let's type Broadcast Instagram to show us terms that
include these two keywords. Here's a variation.
Instead of using how to create a broadcast
channel on Instagram, this term says how to make a broadcast channel
on Instagram, a small change that can
make a big difference. Let's open it. Let's see
what else we can find here. Broadcast channel
Instagram, not available. Tutorials that solve
these types of problems usually have
good audience retention, so let's open it as
well. Let's check. The variation of how to make a broadcast channel on Instagram results
in the same videos. Let's proceed to check how many times this
specific term is repeated. It's only repeated
six times of which at least four we
know are from VDIQ. Much better than
the previous one. If you were to
create this video, which in my opinion
has potential, I would use how to make a
broadcast channel on Instagram, since it's less competitive and has a similar search volume. It's even possible that if
your video is well received, it might start ranking
in the results for how to create a broadcast
channel on Instagram. Now let's look at the last term. Broadcast channel
Instagram not available. There's a mix of medium
sized and small channels. Mostly, they are small, but the view volume
is really low. I wouldn't recommend creating
a video on this term. Well, this is the
end of this class. In the end, we
managed to quickly find three potential topics
to create a video on. I hope you liked it.
Remember that there are different ways you
can find video ideas. In this case, we focused
on the research tool, which is my favorite. You have no experience
searching for video topics, I recommend practicing
whenever you have free time. You'll see how quickly you improve and it's really
not complicated at all. In the next class, we will
look at the structure of a search based
video. See you there.
22. Structure Of A Search-Based Video: Welcome to this class
where we will discuss the structure of videos
for search based channels. The truth is that these types of videos are quite
straightforward, but it's a good idea for you to know how they are composed, even if you decide to
outsource all the work. In this case, we will
be using Fil Mora, so you can see how
the main parts of the video are separated. We will also use this same
software for our next video, which is about creating
a video of this type. This occasion, we will use an example video that I've
downloaded from YouTube. It's a short video,
only 1 minute long, so the class won't be too long. Before playing the video, I want to show you
the tracks down here. This is the actual video, and the one below is
the video's audio. Here we have the footage and
the voice over of the video. As you can see in the
video composition, there's only the screen
recording of the cell phone. On the sides, there's
a bar that you can use to display
video information, promote your channel,
or whatever you desire. This order doesn't have
to be set in stone. You can position the video
slightly to one side to have an even larger empty
space to experiment with. Some also believe that placing the video to the side
improves audience retention. However, it's up to
you to experiment until you find what works
best for you. Let's play. How log out of your X account. Welcome to another gauging
gadgets tutorial video. In this video I'm going to
show you how to log out of your X or Twitter account within the X app on an iPhone
or Android phone. And if this video helps you, please consider
giving it a like, and also subscribe
You could hear in the first 15
seconds of the video. The narrator mentions the videos title several times
or variations of it. This is done to help with SEO. The algorithm can listen to what the narrator
says and index it. This also appears in the videos
auto generated subtitles, which are also indexed by the algorithm and taken
into account for SEO. Within the same time frame, the narrator asks
viewers to subscribe to the channel and leave alike if they find the video useful. This is a good practice as
long as it doesn't feel intrusive to the
viewer. Let's continue. Channel because that
really helps me out. So to log out of the X app on our iPhone
or Android phone, the first thing we need to do is simply open up the X app, then select the home book. Here, the tutorial
has already begun. I stopped the video because
this is really important. Many channels don't
make use of this, but explicitly
showing the viewer, which buttons to press improves the experience
significantly. No matter how simple
the steps may be, viewers want to see
how things are done, not just be told. There's an important difference between these
approaches. We continue. Button in the bottom left. This will bring you
to your feed on x, and all we need to
do here is select your profile image in
the top left of the app. Then once the menu opens, scroll down and select
settings and support. Once you select that, select settings and privacy under that. Now that we're in
the settings for X, select your account
at the very top, and then select
account information. Now at the bottom,
we can see logo. All we need to do is
select that and then confirm that we do indeed
want to logo of X. So that's how you log out of the X app on an iPhone
or Android phone. Do you have any questions
about this? Lave comment below, get back to
you as soon as I can. If you'd like to see more X tips and The tutorial has now ended. This space is used
by the owner to promote other videos
from their channel, as well as their social
media and other content. This is a good practice. It's not really necessary, but it's a good idea to
at least add n screens, since you can get some
additional views. It's also a good idea to include the title in
written form in the video, since the algorithm
can read this. As you can see, the structure of a video of this type
is quite simple. The video can be a bit
longer or a bit shorter. It might be 5 minutes if you have multiple solutions
to the same problem. But overall, the structure
remains the same. If it's recorded from a PC, the differences that you
won't have the side bars. It will be in full screen mode. However, the structure
really doesn't change. To summarize, a video of this type has the
two main components, the footage and the voiceover. As part of the editing, it's a good idea to
add the written title. It's also a good idea to mention the keywords several
times in the voiceover. Clearly identify which buttons
the viewer should press. At the very least, add en screens at the
end of the video. See you in the next class, where you'll see me
quickly creating a video for search
based channels.
23. How To Create A Search-Based Video: Hello. In this class, we're going to quickly create a video for search
based channels. Although this course
is about how to automate this entire process
by hiring freelancers, there will be those
who decide to start their channel by recording
videos themselves, and that's perfectly fine. Even if your plan is to
outsource from the beginning, it doesn't hurt to know how
to edit a video of this type. This time, I'm going
to use a video from the previous course that
works well for this example. As you can see, we
are in FilMora, and we already have our video and voice
over tracks setup. I won't redo the voice over to keep the video from
being too long. In Fil Mora, you can
record the voice over directly by clicking
on the microphone. Selecting the
device you're going to use to record your voice. I recommend not
recording using the built in computer microphone, but you also don't need
expensive equipment. A decent quality microphone that comes with
headphones is sufficient. There's no need to buy
a microphone for this. Once you have your audio, you need to synchronize it with the video so that the viewer
has a seamless experience. Once everything is synchronized, we'll proceed to add a title and highlight the buttons that
the viewer needs to press. First, let's go with the title. In Pill Mora, you can do
this by clicking on Titles. Go to the lower thirds section. Choose a design, click and drag it onto a
track above the video. This is how the animation looks. Double click and type our title, which is how to create
a YouTube channel. If myself. Adjust the size of the rectangle to
make it look good. Went to the last ten
random with list. You can delete this small text, double click and
clear the content. App. Now let's add an arrow to highlight where
the viewer needs to click. To do this, we'll
play the video, and wherever it mentions
clicking somewhere, we'll pause and highlight it. The more we pass time. Here
would be the first location. We add the arrow to a
track above the video. The red. Adjust the size. A to give. And position it
pointing where we want. Now, we'll do this as
many times as necessary. We can also highlight important things like
pieces of information. Now, I'm going to speed up the video so the class
doesn't get too long. But now I'm seeing
all the sides. I can't believe it's true. I'm just surprised. D. Have been I and well, that's it. Remember to add
the end screens on YouTube when you're
publishing the video. As you may have noticed, editing this type of video
is very, very simple. Even those who have no knowledge of video editing can
do it if they try. And if needed, remember there's an ocean of tutorial on
YouTube to get you going.
24. The Right Length For A Search-Based Video: Hello, in this class, we're going to talk
about whether there is a correct length for videos
on search based channels. The quick answer is no,
there really isn't one. Most of these videos
are 1-2 minutes long, depending on how many
steps there are, in the tutorial, they
can be a bit longer. If you have different
solutions for the same topic, a video might last
around 8 minutes and there's nothing
wrong with that. It also doesn't have
any effect on SEO. What it does affect is that if you create a two minute video on a topic like how to
create a YouTube channel. There's another video on the
same topic with similar SEO, but it lasts 8 minutes. Depending on the audience
retention percentage, there's a higher chance that the eight minute video
will rank better. If both videos have a
50% retention rate, it means the two minute video retains the audience
for an average of 1 minute while the
eight minute video retains the audience for
an average of 4 minutes. Tube will favor the video that keeps people on the
platform longer. There's no doubt about that
and it will never change. But then why do most of these channels create
such short videos? Because production costs are lower and because most people, including myself, prefer to find solutions to their problems in 2 minutes rather than eight. Time is finite and people seek answers as
quickly as possible. So we could say there's no magic length for
these types of videos. But we can tell you
that the best practice is to create a combination of short and long videos
so that you don't overlook the advantages
that both have to offer.
25. How To Do SEO On A Search-Based Video: Hello. In this class, we're going to learn how
to use SEO for our videos. This time we'll go
through the process as if we were publishing
a video from scratch, so you can see the
entire process. We'll start this class from YouTube Studio on our channel. At the same time, I have the YouTube search tool
opened in another tab, which will be very helpful in determining which
keywords to target. We click on Create
and Upload Videos. Now we're going to upload the
video we want to publish. As you can see, I've
named the video file with the same name as the
title we're going to use. This is a good practice
because all this information, including the file name
of the thumbnail is indexed by YouTube's
algorithm. Is it very helpful? Well, I can confirm that, but I'm sure it doesn't hurt. This also speeds up
the process since YouTube picks up the file name to use as the video's title. A good practice is to capitalize each word in the title as
it makes it easier to read. Let's move on to the
research tool and search for terms related to
TikTok slide show. Here we can confirm that our chosen title is the most
search term, regardless. Let's take a look
at how competitive this term is before we publish the video as we don't
want to compete with an extraordinary number of
channels for the same term. As expected, there are several large channels
in the results, but I don't see
many exact matches with this term in the titles. Let's reconfirm with
the text search. There are only 13 matches,
which is excellent, considering that at
least four of them are from the VID IQ toolbar. We have our high
search volume title with relatively low competition. Now, let's write
the description. For this, we need to write
something like this. Something that sounds natural, but includes the
keyword from the title, and, if possible, three or four related keywords provided by the search tool. This is just a quick
sample to give you an idea of how this
process works. It's a good idea
to mention that if the video has been
helpful to the viewer, they should please like and
subscribe to your channel. It's also a good practice
to include a link directly to your channel
to gain more subscribers. Hash tags are somewhat
similar to file names. They aren't very helpful, but they also don't hurt. For channels like
this, it's difficult to think that users
would use any of these hashtags
since they are used for trends, not for searches. Nevertheless, it's up to you whether you want
to use them or not. Now, let's upload our thumbnail. I'm going to use a
rather generic thumbnail that meets the requirements. It has our title written on it, which is important since
YouTube reads this, like everything
else, indexes it. So it's important that if your full title doesn't
fit because it's too long, at least the most
important words should be visible
in the thumbnail. Allowing viewers to understand
what the video is about, just by looking at the thumb
nail and reading the title. Regarding this
specific thumbnail, I can tell you that the
typography isn't the most attractive and the
letters are quite small. Later in the course,
we'll talk about how thumbnails for this type
of channel should be. Remember to mark that this video is not made for children. Here in the tags, you can
see that VID IQ gives me three options based on
my title and description. To add them quickly,
click on the plus sign. If you click refresh, it will offer three more, but it won't provide
more than six. Now we need to find the rest of the tags we're going to use. As you can see, we have
500 characters to use of which we've already used 96 with the tags
VID IQ provided. Where can we find more tags? Well, there's no better
place than the search tool. Once here, all you have to
do is copy the terms and paste them into the tag section of your post. Let's
do this quickly. The 29 and the fs under what did happened
to the last ten? A random win with
s. There you go. We're already close to the 500 character limit so
we can stop here. Now scroll down to
continue publishing. Select the language
of the video. In this case, English, and uncheck this box so that your subscribers won't be
notified of your new video. As we've mentioned, the chances of the video being
of interest to them are very low and can become annoying when you publish
20 videos per week. In the categories, choose
how two and style, which is your channels category. You can select this to prevent potentially offensive comments from being automatically
published. In this window, you can
add n screens and cards. It's a good idea to include content related to the
video being watched. The system confirms that there
are no copyright issues. Continue. In the
visibility section, I recommend not
publishing immediately. It's a best practice to schedule the video to be published
at least 1 hour later. This gives the algorithm
time to understand what the video is about and push it to a more
appropriate audience. Of course, getting
views by our videos, getting promoted by YouTube is not our goal, but
it doesn't hurt. This is the process of
publishing an optimized video. A good practice is to add
timestamps to the video. Usually we do this if the
video is over, 3 minutes long. But you can add them to
all videos if you prefer. This is quite useful
as it helps with SEO, and timestamps appear in
Google search results. Tributing to the
discoverability of the video. It's very easy to do. Just remember that
the first time stamp should be at zero and subsequent time stamps should be at least 10 seconds apart. In the next class, we'll
see how you can multiply the number of videos you produce without increasing
production costs.
26. How To Use Your Videos Multiple Times: Come to this class where we're going to teach you
how to multiply your video production without increasing your
production costs. Does it sound too
good to be true? Well, it's true and
you're about to see how. This is one of the strategies
that on their own can cover the entire
value of the course and we're very excited
to share it with you. In previous classes,
we mentioned that search based channels
are incredibly flexible, and now we're going to
take advantage of that. Imagine you already have
about 40 videos produced. They cost you $2
each to produce, which is a standard amount. The freelancer at some point
sent you the edited video. What you need to do to multiply it is to
open it in a video, editor, separate the
audio from the visuals, and delete the audio. Now, you can use
the same video and record a voice over in another
language on top of it. Let's assume you speak
both Spanish and English. You pay for your videos in
English and then edit them by adding the voiceover in
Spanish with your own voice. You've gone from
having 40 videos with a production cost of $2 each to having 80 videos with
an average cost of $1 each. This is only limited by the number of languages
you want to use. If you speak three languages, those 40 videos become 120
videos without any extra cost. If, for instance, you
only speak one language, you can hire freelancers
to create a voiceover in a different language for
much less than $2 per video. Depending on the language, I estimate that $0.50 to $1
per voiceover is possible. So Your production cost continues to decrease
significantly, but this is not just theory. Allow me to demonstrate
that this strategy works. This screenshot is from one of my own channels that I've
honestly neglected a bit. But here you can see that the same video duplicated in
Spanish is performing well. In fact, it has outperformed the original
English version. This is a very
powerful strategy, and I hope you can
make the most of it. Later on, we'll mention
other excellent tips to help you maximize the potential of
your search based channel.
27. Increase by 67% the Chances of Gaining a Subscriber: H i. In this lesson, we are going to learn how to get two subscribers out of three viewers that clicked
on our channel link. You may think that every
viewer that clicks on your Channel link
will subscribe, but that's not the case. Most likely, they will take a quick look around
and close the tab, or maybe, if we are lucky, they may watch another video. The problem here
is the more clicks the user has to
make to subscribe, the fewer subscribers
you will get. And this rule applies to everything on the
Internet from sales, forms, up to
subscriptions, everything. This is why Amazon puts a buy now button right on
the products listing, so you don't have to go through your shopping cart and then check out to confirm
the purchase. Okay. So how do we do
this? It's very simple. Met me here on my
YouTube studio. I'm on the
customization section. But when you just
open YouTube Studio, you'll be here on dashboard. The customization
part, it's down here. Okay. Now, we need to
click on basic info because we are looking for
this. Our channels handle. Our handle is a shorter
and customizable way to shorten your
YouTube channels URL. Now, look at this string
of URL down here. It says sub conformation
equal one with some symbols. What we need to do is to copy our channels URL and paste
it in front of that part. So it will look like this. This means this little string of URL goes at the end
of your channels URL. You can also use the URL
YouTube gives you by default, but it won't look good. It looks a lot better if you
use your customized URL. So what's the difference between your regular channel URL
and adding this part to it. The difference is
that when a viewer clicks on this
modified URL, yes, it will take them to
your channel page, but it will show a pop up asking the viewers if they want to subscribe
to your channel. And once they get
prompted with that, two out of three will
say something like, Sure, why not and confirm
the subscription. Now, let me show
you how it looks. We copy the URL and open an incognito window
to try this out. We paste the URL, click Enter, and
here you have it. This little box works magic, I will bring you a
lot more subscribers, and it's something very
easy to implement. Now, all you have
to do is to put this link on all your videos, description, channel description,
and pinned comments. Sit back and watch how your subscribers count
goes up like crazy. See you on the next lesson.
28. How to Use Tags to Know Which Keywords to Target: Hi. Now I want to show you
something really cool. In this lesson, I'm going
to show you how to use the tag section on the details
window of your videos. To know what keywords you should target better in your
video description. We are here on YouTube studio
in the content section. Let's open a video to
use as an example. We can use this one. You
may think you should click on Analytics to
improve your video SEO, but we are going to click
on the edit button. For this, you need to have
installed IDC's extension. You don't need a premium account to use the video tax feature. This feature comes with
the free version of it. Once the page loads up, what we need to do is to scroll down until we
find the tag section. Here we can see the information we are looking for
didn't load up, so we'll need to
reload the page. Let's give it a chance for the extension to
load up completely. And we scroll down again,
and here you have it. Here you can see some
numbers in each tag. These numbers are
the position you are ranking for on those
specific keywords. If you take a closer look, you can see I'm well
positioned on the keywords, including the word login. This is because that word is the one I'm using on
the title of the video. But there are other keywords people could be searching for,
that could mean the same. Using the word ad
instead of login would mean almost the same thing in
the context of this video. But you can see
for this keyword, my ranking is not that good, the same goes to create, open, use, and make. So how can we improve our SEO? Well, now we know
for which keywords, we should be making
an extra effort. So to check if those keywords have been targeted in
our video description, we need to copy that keyword. Now, we open the
fine function using control F or command F.
If you are in a MAC. You can see we already have this keyword in the description, so we can do two things, leave it alone and let the algorithm pick
it up eventually, or add it a second time hoping
to expedite the effect. Just remember not to pollute your videos descriptions
with keywords. The description should
always sound natural. This one I'm going to
let it stay like that. Let's find another one. We copy it and paste it in
the find function. This only shows one result, meaning this keyword is
only in the tag section. It hasn't been mentioned
in the description. Every time you open a tag, it will show a second number. Don't pay too much
attention to it. The first one is usually
pretty accurate. Now what we need to do is adding this missing keyword in the description in a
way it reads natural. We can write
something like this. What do you think? This is how you know which tags
you should be targeting. Remember that oftentimes
your video will be ranking for many
long tail keywords related to your video, even if you haven't mentioned those keywords in
your description. But when you are not, it doesn't hurt to
give the algorithm an extra reason to
rank you a little or better in those
keywords. See you soon.
29. How To Create AdSense Account: Let's see how to create
a Google AdSens account, which is what you are going to use to get paid on YouTube. We can simply search for AdSens on Google and click
on the first option. Click on Sign Up and
choose a Gmail account. On your site, we're
going to select, I don't have a site yet. I don't want to keep getting
ads and emails because we're going to use this ASNs
account just for YouTube. If you are getting
paid for showing ads on your website
or mobile app, it would be a good
idea to receive performance suggestions
from Google. Now, for your payment
country or territory, you need to select the
country you live in or at least a country where
you can receive a letter, you'll get from Google to verify your identity
and address. Take into account you can change the country you selected. If you like to change it, you have to create a completely
new absence account. Eventually, you'll need
to fill a tax form. Bear in mind that
creating an account using your relative's name could
play out wrong eventually. You have to use your own
real info. That's my advice. For a country, I'll use the US and now you have to agree
with the terms of service. Then you can proceed to
create your ASNs account. That's pretty much have
created your AdSens account. Of course, everything
is not so simple, especially when you are
dealing with payments and in some cases,
international payments. Now, you'll need to fill up some forms about you here where it says that it's about you and connect your site to AdSens, you don't need to put anything because we're going to
use it for YouTube. On the left side, ads is for the ads running
on your website. Site is for managing your sites. You have connected to
your ACENs account. We're not going to
use any of these. But down here, you are going
to see the payments menu. Here's where you're going
to add your info and your bank account in
order to get paid. And verification check is
usually the tricky part. Or at least it is for people living in countries with
a poor mail service. Why? Because once
you have filled up all your info correctly and
you hit the $100 threshold, they are going to send
you a letter with a pin to verify its you and
also your address. If you don't complete this step, you won't get paid.
It's that simple. Now let me show you
the ASMs account. I'm using for this
specific YouTube channel. As you can see, I didn't
connect any side to it. But once you link
your YouTube account, this section will come
up aces for YouTube. Here you can see my last
payment. After the taxes. You can see I have obviously completed my address
verification. Now, let's say you have
your YouTube channel up and running and you have finally met the YouTube partner
program requirements. What you're going to do is
to go to YouTube Studio, click on on the left menu, and where it says getting paid, you'll see the option to link up your AdSens account.
That's pretty much it. Once you submit your
AdSens account, it will take 48 hours
to sync and that's it. Every month between
the 21st and the 25, you'll get paid as long as
you reach the $100 threshold.
30. How to Create Thumbnails for Your Search-Based Videos: Welcome. Now, we are going to take a closer look
on how to create thumbnails for our
search videos or tutorial videos in case
you'd rather call them that. You can see I'm already on my thumbnail template
file on Photoshop. Remember, you can
use Canva as well, but I'm more familiar
with photoshop. You can see here
I have my titles. A ornaments folder where I keep things like
the red arrow, a logos folder where I keep logos from all the
different apps I've made videos of This screen
folder has two subfolders. One with laptop screens. In case, the video is
about a PC software, and one in case the
video is for mobile. This one says Personas,
which means characters. Spanish is my first language,
so sorry about that. This folder has
different characters. In case, I'd rather use a
person for the thumbnail, instead of a hand holding
a cell phone or a laptop. And down here it says fondos,
which means backgrounds. The idea is to keep
things organized in case you want to change something or try something new. Okay, let's first
write our title. Let's make a
thumbnail for a video about how to change
Instagram password, for example. Let's type that. Now we break the lines
to make it fit nicely. You should never use more
than three lines because it makes it look more like a
paragraph instead of a title. I like to make some words
pop with vibrant colors. Let me make visible this text to use this color as a sample. Let's add this color to the most important
words in the title. We can select the word change and change the color by
sampling this one great, and we can do the same
with the word password. Now we can get rid of the little text we use
for sampling the color. All right. Now we need to put
a screen on our cell phone. Here you can get creative and use images
that are relevant. Logos, screenshots of
the process, and so on. For example, take
a look at these. This one is a reference image to Instagram filters that I
found on the Internet. And this one is a
reference to finding or recovering your
Instagram password. Like I mentioned before,
you can also use logos. Give me a second to find them. Well, let's do
this the fast way, Let's search by name. We search for
Instagram. Here we go. Here you can see, I have several screens
related to Instagram. For example. This one is a screenshot of
Instagram's login screen. This one could work
well, but we can make it even simpler and work with
just the Instagram logo. Allow me to find one
that looks good. This one is distorted.
This one may work, see. We move it to the center of the screen and rotate it
so it looks straight. This one seems to
have the perspective off. Let's try another one. Okay, this one is unaltered. Looks a little bit weird
because it has a shadow. We can leave the white
background or we can add a little bit of
color like this one. But in this case,
I'm going to use the screenshot from
the login page now. We need to move the arrow to
a position that makes sense. I always use a red arrow, and the simple reason
is I use it because the really big search
channels use it if they use it is because
it works. That's it. This will be the
final thumbnail. You may add the logo of
the app if you want, for example, over here. But most of the time,
simpler is better. Sometimes I feel I put
too many things on the thumbnails and they can
be confusing for the viewer. So try to not overdo it. In case you are going to make
a video about computers, all we need to do is to hide the cell phone and make
the laptop visible. You can see it already has a
roadblocks related screen, so we are going to use
it for the example. We can change the verb to play, or maybe let's use open. And now we write.
Ro blocks account. We put the arrow on
the right position. Let's change the size. It looks a little too big
for this thumbnail. If you want, you
can put the logo over here to have a visual aid. Remember the audience for
this topic is mostly kids. You can also make it simpler
and use a solid color for the thumbnail background or
maybe a gradient combination. This is pretty much
everything there is about thumbnail creation
for search videos. See you on the next lesson by.
31. Check How Your Thumbnail Stands Out Before Publishing Your Video: This point, you already know that your thumbnails are one of the most important parts
of your videos because they're crucially related
to your videos CTR. How can we be sure we created a thumbnail that stands
out in the browser page, has a good contrast,
how does it look in different sizes or how does it look over a
dark or light fin? All that even before publishing, we can use two
websites for this. The first one is called
thumbs upb dot TV. Here, you can drop your
tunail image to have a clear idea of how it will look in different
sizes and films. Example, let's fetch for
a thumbnail for this. Let's use this orange one about how to remove cap cut
watermark from template. We drag and drop it over
the website and here we go. If we scroll down, we can
see different sizes of it, home large, home small, sidebar, different sizes for
the channel page, how it will look in history, and how it will look in mobile. But this is on the light Mm. According to Google,
around 60 or 70% of users prefer the dark thin. We have to be sure
the thumbnail looks great in both light
and dark thin, at least that is fully readable and not
confusing for the users. Toggle this bottom right
here and now we can look our thumal in different
sizes over the dark thin, which is very helpful. I forgot to write the title. How to remove Capcat Watermark
from Temple. Here we go. Now we can see our
thumbnail and title in action in different locations
of YouTube's platform. Now we're going to
another website. This one is called
thumbnail checker.com. On this website,
we'll be able to see how your thumbnail looks
on the brows page. We can even compare up to
four different thumbnails and titles at the same time. This time, I'm only going
to compare to thumbnails, but the process for three
or four is the same. We need to search for Tumails then we can write
down the title. To remove cap cod
watermark from template, and I'm going to copy the title to use it
for the second tamel. Now I'm going to do the
same for the other one. Here's another variation
of the same topic. For the sake of the title, I'm going to change in
template four from template. I pasted in here and
make a quick change. Now, we are going to click
on Check Your Tunnel. Then this is our thumbnail look like on the browser page
amongst other videos. This is a great way to check if your tunail actually
stands out from others. We can also check how
it will look like on a tablet and also on mobile. But this website is
even more powerful. If you click on other videos, you can see you can get
why is this so powerful? Because we can put our
competitors thumbnails and titles next to ours and check
how different they are. Which one looks better
or it's easier to read. Let's do that. We go to YouTube and search
for this topic, how to remove cap Cod
Watermark from Template. So the first one is an ad, so we can forget about it. My video is ranking third for this keyword, which is not bad. Of course, if you're loading your video for the first time,
you won't be ranking here. To find your cope
editors videos, all you have to do
is to copy the URL, so we can download their tunnel. We open the video
and copy the URL. Now we can go to this website called YouTube
Tunnel grabber.com. We page the URL over here and
click on Get Tunnel Image. Once it fetch the image,
we can download it. We can now go back to thumbnail checker.com and use Dimage
we just download it. Now hover over the thumbnail,
you want to change. Now we're going to click
on the top left bottom, which is called Tmage. Now we look for thumbnail,
we just download it. There we go. Now we go
back to the video and copy the title and put it over
here. Now a little tip. If we paste the title
like you normally would using Control V
or right click paste, it will paste retaining
YouTube's format of white letters and
black background in case you're
using the dark fin. To avoid this, you
need to right click and use pace without
format instead. There we go. Now
we go back and do the same with the other
video that's above mine. We can copy the URL
directly from here, go to thumbnail grabber,
download the image. Now let's fetch the title. We can copy from here as well, put it on the browser grid. Now we paste it without
format and that's it. Here you can see
my two thumbnails and two thumbnails
from the competition. The orange one is
the simplest and it stands out over
the rest. I get it. It's not the best looking one, but we want to grab
people's attention, not to create art. I have proof of this thumbnail having a better CDR
than the black ones. This is how you can check how your thumbnails will
look on YouTube amongst your competitors even before publishing the
videos or ranking. Way, you gain a little
edge over the competition. Remember, your tunnels are a
crucial part of your videos. Don't take them lightly or your videos could face
the consequences. You may have the best video
about a certain topic, but if no one clicks on
it, no one will watch.
32. What Google Sees in Your Thumbnails: How awesome would
it be if you could know how YouTube or Google
sees your thumbnail? What parts does it recognize or is it capable of
reading the text properly? This is important because
you know for sure, what information is YouTube
indexing from your thumbnail, helping you rank even higher. Well, there is a
way to find out, and I'm going to show you
you can do it right now. You need to do is to
go to this website, cloud google.com slash Vision. As you can see, it says, extract insights from images,
documents, and videos. I'm not going to bore you
with the technicality and definitely I'm not
the right person to explain something like this. What you should know is here, you'll be able to check how
Google read your tamals. If we scroll down,
you'll find this part. See how computer vision
works with your own files. And here's a drag and dropbox for us to upload our images. So we fetch for one
of our terminals, let's keep using this one to keep things consistent.
There we go. The first thing we see
is this tab called face. Google will try to recognize
if there are any pass in the images and determine what emotion is being portrayed. In this case, it considers
as very likely the face on the image is expressing
joy and I agree with it. Other things like different
emotions or objects that have been detected are
described as very unlikely. The API gave a confidence
score of 99% to this result. We can now move to the
objects tab and it says it can see a person
glasses and two tops. I don't know why it mentions the top or T shirt
terms, but that's okay. Let's continue. Now we're
moving on to the labels tab. Look at all the labels it could generate from this
image, clothing, vision care because the
subject has glasses, sleeve, beard, t
shirt, and so on. Down here, you can
see it recognizes the Tamil has logos in it. Let's keep on moving and
go to the next step, which for me is
the most important because we can target
keywords let's see. First, it reads, remove
CAP Code Watermark, and it seems like it mistook the Capcde logo for N
person or the sign. Then it continues with in template and then
Cap code twice, which got from the logos. Okay, so the location of the logo messed with the
interpretation of the sentence. This is a little mistake, but don't too important because you can
still see it reads, remove Capcde watermark
and in template. Cap cut, which is not that much different from the
actual sentence. Word by word, this indexing
pretty valid for purpose. Now, the property tab. Here we can see the dominant
colors in the thumbnil. It catches everything
from the background color to the feature colors,
shadows, everything. The last tab shows
information about if a panel represents a safety
issue like adult content, medical content,
violence, et cetera. All these levels are between unlikely and very unlikely,
where would you go? That's striking, but with thumbnail that doesn't
have a person on it. Let's use. This one The first thing we can
see is the phase stab is enabled because it didn't
detect a face in the image. It opens directly
in the object stab and it recognizes the mobile
phone, which is good. I'm guessing the level
of confidence is only 76 because the contrast
is not the best. On labels, it recognizes the
phone, which is pretty big, the phone and variations
of the same term like portable communication
device or gadget. Moving forward to the next step here is where things get a little scary because the API was not only able
to read the Tuchel, of course, but all these
little buttons as well. It wasn't very accurate, but it is definitely
paying attention. So be careful with
what you say on your donnel because even if it's very small,
it will read it. On properties, you can see it considers the green on the
front to be super dominant, which is what we want to drive people's eyes
to those words. If we scroll down,
it shows you how the image looks if cropped
in different ratio. I don't find that
information to be useful, but if you do, please let us know how we can take
advantage of that. Lastly, shows our thumbnail
to be completely safe. Now you know how
YouTube is able to read your thumbnails and what kind of information it can
actually get from it. Super useful if you're targeting certain keywords or
if you want to know what emotions your thumbnail is portrayed in case of
showing a human face.
33. A/B Testing Thumbnails To Improve Your Video’s CTR: Hi, I'm not sure if you noticed, but a few months ago, YouTube enable AB testing for tunnels and that's a game
changer because now you don't need to guess
which tugnail will perform better or to
put your video at risk because you think a video
that's already doing well could do better if
you change the tunnil. Maybe you see your
video has a 7% CDR and you think you can push it to a 9% with a different tugnail. Now you can compare
your tunils directly in and let the algorithm pick the best performing
thumbnail for your video. Before this, there was T body which had this feature in
their paid subscription. But now you can do it for free, and there's no
better place to get data about YouTube,
the YouTube itself. So how do we do that? We need to go to the
content menu and search for the video we want
to make an AB test about. I'm looking for a video that
has a few thumbs variations. Here it is, we click and edit and we scroll down until
we find the thumbnail. If we hover over the thumbnail and click on the three dots, you'll see this Option
code, test and compare. Click on it, and as you can see, we can upload up to three
thumbnails for the test. One would be the thumbnail
you are already using and now we need to upload the other two. I have
them right here. This is the one I'm using in another variation of this video. And here's the third one. A
really old and vi tunnel, but it will work for the
sake of this lesson. We click on done, and now as
you can see it down here, it says the test will start once we click and
save the changes. We do exactly that, and now we are able to open
the test report window. Of course, there's no data here because the
test just started, but at least you
can read it says the test would last for 14 days. It's possible for the test
to end sooner in case the algorithm considers there's a clear winner before that time. Now let me show you the
results of one of these tests. Remember this tunnel I ran
a NAV test for this video. We go to the Edi tab
and if we click on the three dots on the thumbnail and click on View Test Report, you'll see the
orange thumbnail was a clear winner running
against the black variation. Like I said before, I had proof the orange thumbnail had a better CDR than
the black version. It's not pretty or at least
I don't really like it, but it got more watchtshare
than the other two. Don't ever change
what's working. But now with the
AB test feature, we can improve our
videos fugnil and CDR without risking the
videos performance.
34. Applying YouTube Automation Like A Pro: Welcome to this class
where we're going to discuss in more specific detail, how we can apply an
automation model to your search based channel. We've touched on this briefly
throughout the course. The idea is to hire
freelancers to handle the entire editing
process so that you can focus on other things while
generating passive income. The case of search
based channels, this process is much simpler, and you won't need a
group of freelancers. One freelancer is sufficient. Given the simplicity of
these types of videos, one person can handle recording, editing, and voiceovers at
a very economical price. The process is quite
straightforward. You need to post a job offer
preferably on up work, clearly stating the type of person you're
looking to hire, what you expect from them, and how much you're
willing to pay. The job offer might look
something like this. I am looking for five
expert video creators who meet the following criteria. What you have to do,
voice over plus. Short edit pay $2 per video, length of video, 1-3
minutes workload, 20 videos per week. Example channel. Here
you have to edit this, paste a link to a
search based channel. I'd love to hear if you have
done similar work before and would appreciate it if you could send me a
sample of your work. Are you okay with the price
from the description? If not, don't apply. Do you have over
80% job success? If not, don't apply. Have you earned more than $50? If not, don't apply? Thanks. As you can see,
it's quite straightforward. The last three questions
are included as filters. We want to work with
people who already have some experience
with these platforms. However, you may
receive inquiries from individuals who don't
meet these requirements? This doesn't mean you
have to dismiss them? If they make a good impression, it's worth communicating
with them. As you've noticed, we haven't
mentioned thumbnails yet. Thumbnail editing is very straightforward as it can
be done using templates. You can do it yourself
in a couple of minutes. But if you really
don't have the time and want to outsource
this part of the work, you can either ask your
editor if they can handle thumbnail editing and
negotiate a price for it, or you can post
another job offer, for which we'll provide a template in the
attachments of this class. 20 videos per week is
an excellent number. Later, when your channel
starts generating income, you could increase the quota
for even faster growth. The weekly production
cost would be around $40, which is quite manageable. In other channel models, this wouldn't even cover the production cost
of a single video. Regarding keyword research, we recommend that
you do it yourself. One, because it's
an essential part of this business model, and two to keep production
costs as low as possible. However, if you want to delegate this task to someone
else, it's possible. Upwork, you can find freelancers with expertise in
finding good keywords. We'll also provide
a template for how such a job offer might
look in the attachments. Once you decide to
hire the freelancer, it's a good idea to create a Slack account
for communication. You can also use WhatsApp, Facebook, or
whatever you prefer. But Slack is a solid
option because you don't have to share any personal information beyond your e mail. Create a Trell board to keep the entire editing
process organized. Later in the course,
we'll show you how to use Trello and how to hire
freelancers on work. If you've come from
our previous course, you've probably noticed that
the process of automating a search based channel is quite similar to automating a
channel in another Niche, just a bit simpler
because you won't have to deal with three or four
different freelancers, but rather work with one
or a maximum of two. In the next class, we'll discuss the various websites where
you can find freelancers.
35. Where To Find Freelancers?: Class, we're going to talk about the various
platforms where you can find freelancers to kick start your
search based channel. You can actually find
freelancers in many ways. You can join editor
groups on Facebook, or you can ask your friends if they're willing
to do the work. But the most cost
effective places are well known platforms
like Upwork and Fiver. On these platforms,
you'll find a plethora of freelancers from
developing countries like India or the Philippines, which is precisely what
we're looking for. Since the hiring process for this type of channel is
quite straightforward. This time, we won't explain which platform is better for
each part of video editing, but rather discuss the
platforms themselves. First, let's talk about fiber. This platform is the most well known among the
ones we'll mention. On this website, as an employer, you'll have to sift
through a large number of posts to find a freelancer
you want to work with, which can be a bit tedious. One advantage is that
freelancers often showcase their portfolio of previous work on their profiles, allowing you to
assess the quality of their work before
contacting them. The other hand, there's upwork. On this platform, it's
you, the employer, who has to post a job offer, and interested
freelancers will apply. This model is much more
convenient because you don't have to spend a lot of time
searching for a freelancer. You simply create
your job offer, wait for about 24 hours, and you'll have a list of people interested in
working with you. From there, you can
filter which ones you're interested in and
which ones you're not, and then proceed to
communicate with them. Both platforms use an
escrow system in which you, as the employer, make the
payment for the service. FAR or upwork confirms to the freelancer that the
payment has been made. And the freelancer
starts working. Once the work is completed, the freelancer
notifies you through the platform that the job is finished and sends it to you. You confirm your
satisfaction with the service and the platform releases the payment
to the freelancer. This is a very secure way
for both parties to work. However, if we had to choose between one
platform or another, we would choose
upwork due to how convenient the freelancer
filtering process is. Then there are other platforms like people per hour
and online jobs. Don't hesitate to
check them out. People per hour has a
model similar to fiver, but is somewhat more expensive. Because it has more freelancers
from European countries. Online Jobs has a
different charging model. While the three platforms mentioned earlier
use an escrow model, Online jobs doesn't
charge for each job, but rather charges you as the
employer a monthly fee of $69 to allow you to contact freelancers who
applied to your job offer. The cost is quite high, but in one month, you can create a folder
with information on different freelancers to
contact in the future, and cancel your subscription before being charged
for a second month. In the next class,
we'll discuss how to find the right freelancers
for your YouTube channel. We'll go through
the entire process of posting a job
offer on Trello. See you in the next class.
36. How To Hire A Good Freelancer: Hello, welcome. In this class, we're going to
explain how to find the right freelancer for
your search based channel. To do this, we will use upwork. Once on the platform
and logged in, we proceed to post a job
offer by clicking here. On this page, we start the process of creating
our job offer. In this section, we choose
to create a new job post and select that it's a short
term job. Let's continue. Here, we write a title
for the job offer. Since we're looking
for someone to edit videos for YouTube, we'll write YouTube
video editor. Now we need to
choose a category. This isn't really relevant, and we can choose between video editing and
video production. But let's stick with video
editing to match the title. Next, we need to
select the skills we want freelancers to
have when they apply. We can choose up to ten, but three will be sufficient. Let's select video editing, video production,
and explainer video. Sounds quite similar to
creating tutorial videos. These variables aren't
crucial since you can negotiate them directly
with the freelancer. You could select these
options if you were posting a very specific
job, for example, if you needed the editing to be delivered in a specific format, or if a specific software
had to be used for editing. Let's continue. Here,
we select small, since it's a fairly easy
and straightforward job. How long the job would take, let's select less
than one month. This isn't really important. If you like the
freelancer you find, you can keep re hiring them
as many times as you want. For the experience level, let's choose medium because we're looking for
experienced freelancers. However, this doesn't prevent workers with little or no
experience from applying. It's more of a formality. Is this job, a contract
to hire opportunity? We'll select not at this time. Let's continue. Now we start
talking about our budget. We choose to speak in terms of project budget rather
than an hourly payment. In the project budget
section, let's enter $200. Don't worry too much about this. It's more attractive
for freelancers to see a budget of $200
rather than $20. Even though this like
the experience level is more of a formality. This is the description
of our job offer. Here is where we'll paste
the job offer template that you can download from
the attachment section of the class from
two lessons ago. Remember to add the link to the channel you want
to use as an example. If everything looks good, click on Review Job post. This page serves as a preview of the job offer and also allows us to add a
couple more filters. In this part, I recommend adding some screening questions like describe your recent experience
with similar projects, and perhaps this one too. Describe your typical
design process and methods. What's the purpose
of these questions? They help determine if the
freelancer paid attention to the job offer or if they're just applying to various offers
almost automatically. If they answer these questions, it means they took the time
to read the job offer, and that's what
we're looking for. People who pay attention
to what we say. So we're ready and we
click on post this job. This page shows
that our job offer has been successfully posted. Now, let's see what it
looks like when you receive applications
for the job you posted. Obviously, the screen
we're going to see is from a job offer
I posted some time ago. It's not the one we just posted. Here, you can see the
different freelancers who applied to our job offer. Let's take a look. We have
Abubakar from Nigeria. He has a lot of skills, but few of them apply
to video editing. Most are focused on design. He also has no experience
on the platform. Let's see what else we have. George from Indonesia didn't
bother to write anything. So we can deduce that
he's a bit lazy. Malana from Indonesia
has many skills, but no experience
on the platform. Paik from Pakistan
caught my attention. His skills are all
related to video editing. He has experience on the
platform, earning over $400, and the most striking is
the 100% job success badge. If we read his cover letter, he mentions that he agrees
with the price per video. I think we may have
found our freelancer. Nevertheless, let's check the other two
remaining freelancers. Aliana seems somewhat
lazy as well, and Daniel has no
experience on the platform. This isn't a big problem, but what caught my attention more is that he's from Israel. I'm not very sure if $2
per video will be enough. However, you could
ask him about it. This time, let's focus on Paque who seems to meet
all the requirements. We can see that he took
the trouble to add examples of edits
he has done before, which is a plus because
it saves us time. On this page, you'll find
a chat through which you can communicate with the freelancer before hiring them. Through this chat, you can clarify all the points
of the contract, such as payment, delivery dates, the amount of work, and so on. Here's the example video. Let's take a look.
Here's a guys this Mick. Today, I am going to
show you Holgan Media, which is one of the best ad
networks to monetize with. So basically, you can monetize
your sites by putting ads and generate a good
amount of revenue from it. Holgan Media is a
very good alternative to Google AdSens Yes, it's certainly quite similar. This is a review
and not a guide, but they are not so different. His accent is very good and
he's quite understandable. This is important
because you can't upload videos in
which the narrator has an unintelligible accent
or very poor diction. In your case, it would be a good idea to watch
the entire video, but we won't do that now to keep the class from
becoming too long. If you're satisfied
with what you see, you can click on Hire and
proceed to make the deposit. This is the pre hiring page. The part that really matters
is this selection here. Make sure to choose to deposit a smaller amount for
the first milestone. That way, we can pay our freelancer week by week based on the
work they deliver. Here, we give a name to the milestone and choose
the delivery date, which should be
seven days from the agreed upon start date
with the freelancer. If we're going to create 20
videos at a cost of $2 each, we select a deposit of $40. This would be the entire hiring and freelancer
selection process. If we click on Continue, the platform will ask for our details to make
the Escrow payment. In the next class,
we'll discuss in more detail how much you should pay freelancers for
this type of work.
37. How Much To Pay For Your Videos: Much should you pay freelancers for editing this type of video? Well, we've mentioned it several times throughout this course, but in this class, we'll
be a bit more specific. What we pay freelancers for this type of video
is $2 per video, which includes recording,
editing, and voiceover. As you already know,
it's quite affordable due to the simplicity
of these videos. You can consider the rest of the publishing process
like add ons to a burger. If you want them to create
thumbnails with a template, you can offer $0.50 for that. If you want them to do
keyword research for you, you can offer between $0.50 and $1 for each high
quality keyword. If you want them to publish the videos for you
while doing SEO, you can offer them
$0.50 per upload. It's really economical to
start in this type of channel. However, our recommendation
is that you take care of at least the publishing
and keyword research yourself because it can
be quite sensitive. There's not much more
to say on this topic. One thing that comes to
mind is that if you're happy with your freelancer
and can afford it, you can ask if they can produce more videos per week without
compromising quality. You could even use the number of videos as a negotiation point. If you guarantee a high
number of videos per week, the freelancer may be
willing to negotiate. But from my experience, if you're getting
a product you're happy with for $2 per video, it's not worth trying
to negotiate the price. It's better for both parties to remain happy for a lasting
working relationship. In the next class, we'll
see how we can use the Trello platform to
streamline the process.
38. How To Put Your Production Process On Wheels: Come to this class, where
we're going to see how we can streamline our search
based channel business. We already know where
to find freelancers, how much to pay them, and what to look for to determine if they fit
our business or not. Now, let's see how
to manage them. For this, we'll use the
Trello platform because it allows us to be explicit with freelancers about
what they need to do. Also enables us to track the production process and identify any issues
that may arise. To get started, we need to
create a new board on Trello. You can visit trello.com, and if you've never used
the platform before, you'll need to sign
up, which is free. There is a premium
version of Trello, but we won't need it
for our purposes. Once you're logged in, you'll
see the Trello dashboard. Let's create a new board. Select a name and a
background image. In this case, we'll call
it YouTube search course. Choose the background
and click Create. This is our newly created
board where we'll manage our search based
channel business. The first thing we
need to do here is create a workflow using lists. Let's proceed to
create those lists. Our first list will be
called video Topics. In this list, we'll place the different video
topics we want to create. The next list will
be doing this list, the freelancer will place the videos they are
currently working on. The next list is done. The freelancer will move videos
here when they've created them and provide a download
link for you to review. The next list is approved. In this list, you'll move
videos from the De list that meet your expectations and
are ready for publication. Need fixing is the
list where you'll place videos that the
freelancer move to done, but you believe require
some adjustments. Can't create is the list
where the freelancer will move videos they
are unable to create. Can happen, for example, if the video needs
to be made with an iPhone and the freelancer
only has an android phone. The last list we'll
create is for us, it will serve as a
visual control within our Trello board to track which videos we've
already published. Now, let's create some cards
to demonstrate the process. Create three cards
with each card representing a video
topic you want to create. For each topic, you should include instructions on
how you want the video. And provide a link
to a reference video that the freelancer
will replicate. To do this, click on the card, write the instructions, and add the link to the
reference video. If you like, you can also set a due date so that Trello sends an e mail reminder
to the freelancer to complete the task
before the selected date. The freelancer will see
the video topics and move the ones they'll start
working on to the doing list. Once they've finished the video, they'll move it to the De list and provide a download
link for your review. This can be done using
services like Google Cloud, We transfer, or any file sharing service
you've agreed upon. If you're satisfied
with the video, you'll move it to
the approved list. If the video needs adjustments, you'll move it to the
need fixing list. In this case, it's
a good practice to open the card for that video. Describe what needs
fixing in the comments, and add a red label
for visual support. Once the freelancer has made
the necessary adjustments, they should notify in the cards comments
that the problem has been resolved and change the red label to a
different color. If you like the video as it
is and proceed to publish it, you can move it to
the uploaded list. There may be instances where certain videos can't be created. In such cases, the freelancer should move the
card for that video to the can't create list and provide the
reason in the comments. You can then discuss with the
freelancer whether there's a solution or if you need
to find a replacement. This is how Trello
is used to have complete control over
video production. As you can see, this
platform provides a visual understanding of
the production process, a place to access
video downloads, and a point of contact with the freelancer in case
any issues arise. Of course, Trello is
not a chat application. If you need to chat
with your freelancer instead of leaving
a simple comment, it's better to use messaging software like Whatsapp or Slack. The members section, you can add the Freelancer
to your Trello board. Click on Share, and
in the small window, you have two options. Create a link to access
the board or directly add the Freelancers e mail to grant
them access to the board. This is essentially all
we need to know to use this platform and manage our search based
channel as a business.
39. Breaking Down High Converting Thumbnails: Hello. In this class, we're going to see
how we can create thumbnails with the high
CTR. Click through rate. This strategy doesn't differ much from what we covered
in the first course, which involves taking a look at the thumbnails of
competitor videos. However, this time, we're not just looking
at any channels. We're examining the
type of thumbnails created by top channels
in the search niche. Since we already know
the names of some of the most successful
channels in this niche, let's start by reviewing them. We'll begin with Trevornas. Navigate to the videos
tab, and immediately, you can see that he uses the typical image of a hand
holding a mobile phone. There's a significant
contrast between the color of the text
and the background. We zoom out a bit to get a clear idea of
whether Trevor uses the same type of thumbnail or changes it depending
on the topic. We can see that Trevor indeed
follows a strict template. The reason a channel
as large as he uses the same thumbnail is that he has conducted tests in the past, and this thumbnail style
resulted in the highest CTR. He changes the colors
depending on the app he's discussing and also updates the image on the phone screen. But overall, the thumbnails
are all quite similar. Now let's move on to
another channel Guide Rem. We followed the same process. In this case, you can see
a significant difference. The channel owner often use their face in most thumbnails. They typically use light
colored backgrounds, and the text is white with
a shadow for readability. If we zoom out,
you'll notice that the thumbnails are
quite similar overall. Next, let's review
gulging gadgets. It appears they also use
light colored backgrounds, but the text is black
for legibility. The mobile phone
image is common. Zooming out, you can see
that this channel has more thumbnail diversity than
the previous two channels. But the differences
are not substantial. Now, let's look at one
last channel, how finity. These thumbnails are
a bit more elaborate, sometimes bordering on being a bit saturated for my taste. However, it's clear that they put a significant
effort to create them. Zooming out, you can notice that several videos seem to be
created with a template, especially those where a person is pointing to their
left shoulder. The rest vary more. Let's
search for one more channel, which I didn't initially recall. But since we've been investigating
throughout the course, let's examine their thumbnails
more closely. Apple guy. You can see that they
use the same style of thumbnails as most of these
channels as expected. The difference is that
they use an image of artificial grass
as a background, which is consistent with the
background in their videos, forming part of their branding. They place a red
background behind the most important words
to highlight them. If we zoom out, you can see that their thumbnails are
incredibly consistent. They seem committed to
this thumbnail template, suggesting that it has
worked well for them. Now, I'm going to show you the thumbnail panels of
these five channels, so you can identify
recurring patterns. I'll display each
panel for 2 seconds. You can pause the video to
review them more closely. What did you notice? I
observed the following. One. All thumbnails use sufficiently large letters
to ensure readability, even at a small size. There's significant
contrast between the text and the background to
enhance legibility. Two, the image of
the mobile phone serves as a character
in the thumbnail. It's important to use
either a mobile phone or a person as the
character in the image. T, you should
include the logo of the software you're
discussing in the video. Four. On consistent element across all channels
is the use of arrows. There must be a
reason behind this. Remember, these channels
have been publishing for years and have
thousands of active videos. If they all use arrows, it's likely because this small
detail helps increase CTR, even if only slightly. Now you know you can use these thumbnails as
examples to have someone create a template for
you in photoshop or Canva. Or if you have the skills, you can create them yourself. As you can see, these thumbnails are super simple and
easy to recreate. There's no need to experiment
with different styles when there are channels that have spent years refining this art.
40. What You Should Focus On!: Hello. In this class, we're going to talk about the
two most important things you should focus on
to rank your videos. Audience retention and
click through rate or CTR. We'll try to explain this in
the simplest way possible. Audience retention,
as the name suggests, is about how much time people
spend watching your videos. This is divided
into two metrics. Average view duration,
which indicates in seconds, how long people
typically watch a video, and average percentage viewed, which measures the same thing, but in terms of the percentage
of the video watched.'s an example of these metrics
from a small search channel. Some say that a 45% or higher average percentage
viewed APV is ideal. In this case, you can see
that most of the videos with more views have a
50% or higher APV. It's better to aim
for that number. The video that says
124% is a short video, which is why it has
such a high APV. To achieve a high APV, avoid creating long intros and outros as viewers
tend to skip them, which will lower your average. Also, get straight to the
point and make sure that every second of the video provides valuable
information to the viewer. This reduces the chances of them skipping or
closing the video. Of course, it's
impossible to offer relevant information
every second of a video, no matter how short. But that should be your goal. The longer you keep
viewers on the screen, the higher the algorithm
will rank you. Having a high APV is crucial. Experiment with
different things. Don't stick to just
one video model. Try different
combinations of colors, placements, frames,
pointers, and more. Regarding CTR, it's
important to note that even if you use the same
thumbnail template, it doesn't guarantee
a similar click through rate across
all your videos. Here within the same channel and using the same
thumbnail template, You can see that one video
has a CTR of over 20%, which is excellent,
well above average, while another has 5%, which isn't bad, but
could be better. Videos with a 7% CTR are
already considered good. Remember that you're
competing against many videos that are offering almost the
same information. This number is considered good. Not excellent but good. The way to achieve this is, as we mentioned in
previous classes, to use thumbnails from successful channels
as a reference. However, after creating
your thumbnail template, don't think you have to
stick with it forever. On the contrary, you can make changes and always aim
to improve your numbers. If you have a video
that has generated little traction after a couple of months
of being published, you can use it as a test
and change the thumbnail. If you see a positive
change in its performance, you can use this same template on other videos that
are not performing as desired to confirm that this new thumb nail is
attractive to viewers. YouTube is a platform that
does not allow AB testing. We have to make
direct changes to the videos and see if there
is any change in performance.
41. Does Time Of Release Matter?: Hello. In this class, we're going to quickly talk
about a topic that often creates confusion among owners
of search based channels. Does the publication time matter for this type of channel? No, it really doesn't matter. In this model of channels, the publication
time of our videos is not relevant because we don't rely on
YouTube's algorithm to give us an initial boost, and we don't expect
our subscribers to be waiting for our posts
to consume our content? You channel gains some traction, a metric called when your viewers are on
YouTube will be enabled. Allowing you to see when people
who have interacted with your channel or your subscribers are most active on the platform. This can be quite useful
for other channel models, but for search based channels, it's not really relevant because our focus is on how our videos
will perform over time. If you look closely,
even YouTube states. Published time is not
known to directly affect the long term
performance of a video. Confirming that in our case, we don't have to worry
about the publication time.
42. A New Region for Hiring Highly Competent Freelancers: Come to this lesson where
we are going to talk about another region to hire highly
competent freelancers? We usually talk about hiring
freelancers from Asia, and that's still a great option. But if you are having
some troubles, finding the right freelancer,
you can try this out. You can see I'm here on work, and I want to show you
this job post where I got 25 proposals for the same contract conditions
we've mentioned before. As you can see, the job
post is in Spanish. I'll leave this job
post description as an attachment on this lesson, so don't worry about it. Who are we targeting here? Well, we are looking
for freelancers in Latin American countries
like Venezuela, Colombia, Argentina, Chili,
Mexico, and many more. We are going to set the post as worldwide because it's simpler. This way, you don't have to
select country by country, and there's no chance
of a meeting a country. I have to say that I have
had very good results working with freelancers
from Latin America. This is why I decided
to create this lesson. Let's take a complete look at this job post on
skills and expertise. You can see I selected these and also added Spanish and
Castilian Spanish. You could add English
here, if you like, to be sure you'll get
freelancers that speak English. But you can be sure
that if some of the freelancers that apply to
the job post speak English, they will mention it on their
profile or list of skills. Remember to set the
job post as worldwide. Now, let's take a look at the proposals I got
with this job post. We can see people from
Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela, Dominican
Republic, and many more. Even people from Brazil. Let's keep going. This one is from Turkey, which is weird. This is the last
one. As you can see, I got proposals from ten
different countries. Now you could start looking at their skill list for the ones that speak English.
Let's check this one. And this one. This
is how you do it. Like I said, you
can add English to the list of desired skills
and make this process faster. These are a couple
of freelancers. I short listed. I exchanged
messages with Matias, but we never started working. Now, the one I hired
is from Mexico. As you can see here, he
mentions he speaks English and works with English to Spanish translations,
which is great for us. That's what we're looking for. This is the end of this
lesson. I hope you liked it. Try to search for freelancers in Latin America in case you
don't find a good fit in Asia. Both regions have highly
competent frelancers. It's just a matter of searching until you
find the right one. In the next lesson, we are going to see how
I managed to get videos for as low as
$1.25. See you there.
43. How I’m Creating Videos for $1.25 Each!: Hi. Now I want to show
you how I managed to get videos done for $1.25 each. If you're guessing this
has something to do with finding freelancers in
Latin America, it does. So let me show you how I'm
doing it. We are here in work. This is the same job post
I showed you before. Remember, you can add English to the list of desired
skills for the job post. Now, let's go to
the hiring Window. As you know, this
freelancer is from Mexico, He obviously speaks Spanish, but he also speaks English. This is relevant for us because now we can
get two voiceovers, one in English and
one in Spanish, both from the same freelancer. Let me show you how I propose
this to the freelancer. Let's open the messages window. We search for him
and open the chat. You can see here
the last milestone we worked through work. We are still working together, but now I'm paying him directly. The first thing I did,
obviously was asking for a video sample and also a sample of him narrating in English. Be I like the samples, I sent him this message.
I'm interested. I already have the 20
topics to be made. At the end, I need
the videos with the cell phone or PC
screens in English, just like the
sample you sent me. What do you think if
we use the same video narrated in English and you
also dub it in Spanish? You would only need to
change the title at the beginning from English
to Spanish. Nothing else. I can offer you $2.50 per topic. That would be 20 topics which
translates to 40 videos, 20 in English and 20 in Spanish for 50 bucks. What do you think? He replies he's okay with that, and we started
working right away. Down here you can see
the completed milestone, 20 topics, 40 videos for $50. This is how I'm currently
paying $1.25 per video. This is great because
Spanish videos usually don't have
a very low CPM. They are not around the
highest paying language, but are not around the
lowest paying either. You will see it's
easier to rank for Spanish videos because of
the competition is lower. Another language you
could try as Portuguese. They are a lotless Portuguese
speakers in the world, but it is easier to rank the
videos in that language. This is how you can lower
your cost of video production while increasing the number of videos published
at the same time. If you're wondering if YouTube
could penalize you for reusing the same video multiple
times, the answer is no. A video in a
different language is considered a completely
different video, even if the footage is the same. Good luck making use of this
strategy. See you soon.
44. Trial And Error: He. In this class, we're going to talk
about the bread and butter of YouTube
channel owners, which is trial and error. You don't have to
overthink everything when making decisions related
to your YouTube journey. This is a fairly
forgiving platform that allows us to make corrections
and keep improving, as well as testing any
theories you might have about whether
something can work or not. You shouldn't feel bad if
your videos have a low CTR. What you should do is create a new thumbnail that
performs better. If your videos have a low APV, you know you need
to make corrections and you can get to work on it. This is something that happens
to all channel owners. Even Mr. Best constantly tests and experiments to
achieve the best results. In fact, he's so good
at it that this is how he achieved unprecedented
success on the platform. The fact that something on
your channel isn't performing as expected doesn't
mean you've failed. It means you've
learned that something doesn't work and you just
need to find a solution. This will happen with
topics, thumbnails, descriptions, titles,
video editing, and more. You just need to keep an
eye on the metrics and remember to give your videos time to unleash their potential. A couple of months is a
good period during which a channel starts to be
considered by the algorithm. But this isn't always the case. Sometimes after three
months of minimal activity, the algorithm decides to pick up a video and rank it for
no apparent reason. If you publish a
video and it doesn't perform as expected
in the first 15 days, take a deep breath and
give it a real chance.
45. When And How to Remake Your Videos: Hi. Now let me show you
something you may not know you can do remaking
or duplicating videos. We have two different
scenarios for this strategy. Let's go with the first one, which is when a video that
you have ranked didn't. I'm here on YouTube studio. Let me quickly go
to my content page. I already have in mind the video I'm going
to use as reference. Here it is, how to remove
Capcde watermark in templk. But I want to be able
to compare them, so let me search for
both of these videos. Sorry, on the search bar, we won't be able
to see the stats, so let's use the filter option. Here we are. You can
see both videos have the same thumbnail and both videos have pretty
much the same title. The only difference is
in the 01 title in which I added something like full guide at the
end or something. You can see these videos were published a year
apart from each other. The 01 only got 275 views
in a year and four months. But the new one has 2,441 views
and count in four months. What makes one video to work out and the other one
to never make it? Well, you can see the video is almost 2 minutes long and the new one is less
than 1 minute long. I cut donecessary scenes and made the video to have a
more interesting pace. This made the new video
to be appreciated more by the audience and
to have a better APB. I also added a background
to the new one. Even though the AVD is lower 25 seconds against
39 seconds on the old one, the algorithm considers
the new video is better for the audience. You can see the new
video got 62 views in the last 48 hours and the one
got none. It's just that. The other reason in
which you can create a duplicate video is because
it worked very well. What's the strategy here? Well, we will try to
make something like the cereal brand Kak does
on the supermarket shelf to put so many different cereals that some people may think they come from different
competitors when they are owned by
the same company. We will try to make the same, but with YouTube videos, if you can rank two or three videos for
the same keywords, you'll be getting a
lot more views than just ranking a video
on the top position. Let me show you how
I've done this. I filter the word clips and you can see here the
two videos on the bottom. One is 100,000 plus views. The other one almost
got 350,000 views, both targeting pretty
much the same keywords. I tried it again
with another video, but it hasn't worked out really well with
the third video. Let's try changing the
title a little bit. Let's change get for fine movie clips and
hopefully, help. Well, with this video idea, I knew it would turn
out to be great. It was a perfect mix of
a high volume keyword, together with competitors not offering exactly what
the viewers wanted. In top of that, you can add, I found a very
convenient solution. That's why the first
two videos were published just 21
days from each other. Got a good response from
the very beginning. See you soon.
46. Should You Buy A Monetized Channel Or Start Fresh?: In this class, we're going to discuss a rather
interesting topic. Is it worth buying a
monetized channel, or is it better to start with
a completely new channel? This time we'll provide
our perspective, but there may be
differing opinions. That's perfectly fine. If you have the financial
capacity to purchase a monetized channel from a
reputable source, go for it. A monetized channel
already has a minimum of 1,000 subscribers and
4,000 hours of watch time, which gives it a certain level of authority when it
comes to ranking. This means your videos will have a bit more initial exposure compared to a
completely new channel. At the same time, even
though you're just starting, you'll receive some
income from YouTube, so it won't all be expenses. There's a great
motivational effect in seeing your channel generate
more income month by month. Some people argue that buying a monetized channel
negatively affects how the algorithm
recognizes your channel and whom to recommend
your videos to, especially if there's a change in the content being published. This is true and applies to
channels in other niches. However, for search
based channels, it's different because
our source of views comes from search results,
not recommendations. This is another advantage
for search based channels, compared to those
in other niches. If you don't have the
financial means to buy an already monetized
channel, don't worry. Start your channel from
scratch and grow gradually. Later in the class, we'll
show you a strategy to gain subscribers more
quickly than usual.
47. Where To Buy A Monetized Channel: Welcome to this class, where we're going to mention, where you can buy monetized
YouTube channels. I want to clarify that I am not affiliated in any way with the platform we're
going to mention. We're only using it as an example for this
class to give you a clearer idea of what to pay attention to when looking
to buy a channel. This platform is
called famwap.com, which is a marketplace
where you can buy and sell TikTok accounts, Instagram accounts,
and YouTube channels. Using this platform has a reference because it
offers certain levels of security that while not guaranteeing that
you won't be scammed, significantly reduce the
chances of that happening. Remember that buying something online always carries a risk. You need to be very cautious. The first thing you'll
need to do to review Fame swap is to register
as without this, you won't be able
to see the prices at which the channels
are being sold. The main page where
some accounts from different platforms
are promoted. In our case, we'll scroll down and click on Browse A Listings. Once here, select
the YouTube tab, which is what interests us. Now, I should mention that
before recording this, I had already taken a look
to avoid too much wandering and I already have two channels in mind that we'll
use as examples. Once you've loaded the
YouTube channel filter, it's a good idea to
look for channels that are willing to use the
Escrow service for the protection of
both parties and include the original
Google account e mail. This platform also
allows the seller to upload an audience
metrics report. You can check if the channel fits what you're looking for, if it has potential, et cetera. Let's open this channel from
the background in a new tab. It says it has over 61,000 subscribers and is
priced at $750. Now, let's go to the second
page and open this channel, which has over 51,000 subscribers
and is priced at $400. Let's check the listing
for the first channel. It says it's in the gaming
and entertainment category, willing to offer
the Escrow service and provides the
original e mail. It also uploaded an
audience report. So far, so good. If we read the description, it says the channel has
generated over $8,000, so we understand it's monetized. Now, if you notice, we don't know the
name of the channel, and to see it, we have to pay a subscription on Fame Swap. But there's a reason I chose
this channel as an example, and it's that the channel's
name is written in the logo. It says BRX, Music USA. So we can know the channel's
name without subscribing. Now let's go to YouTube to
see how this channel looks. Here we are on the
profile of this channel. As you can see, the
logo is the same. The number of
subscribers is the same, and the name matches,
we're in the right place. First off, I see that it says the channel has no
published videos. From my point of view, this is a negative aspect, even if the videos are
not about the same topic. Having some videos already published gives authority
to the channel. It also raises the question
of whether this channel really obtained its
subscribers legitimately. There should be some correlation
between the number of subscribers and the number
of views on the videos. Let's check another
important point. In the description, the
seller mentioned that the channel had
generated over $8,000, so it should be monetized. There's a way we can verify if a channel is monetized
without leaving YouTube. To do this, right click on the profile and click
on view page source. It will open a page
with a lot of code. Don't worry. You
don't need to learn code to check if a
channel is monetized. Just open the text
search function and look for the
word monetization. It will highlight
this part that says, I monetization
enabled, value false? If it says false, the
channel is not monetized. If it says true, the
channel is monetized. Here we have a channel
that has no videos and claims to be monetized
when it actually isn't. There are too many red flags
to consider making a deal. Now let's look at
the other channel. We can read in the logo that the channel's name
is reaction insider. In the description, it says the channel will
be delivered with the original G mail and the AdSens account
with $72 available. It also mentions having over 700 videos published and provides an audience report. I don't see it mentioning that it's willing to use
Escrow services, but let's take a
look on YouTube. Here we can see that there are almost 800 videos published. They mostly target a
Pakistani audience, but that's not relevant for us. Let's check if the channel
is actually monetized. Right click and
view page source. Open the search
function, monetization. Here you can see that this
channel is indeed monetized. Which is what we're
looking for Excellent. Now let's go back and look at the most popular
videos to see if it makes sense for
this channel to have over 50,000 subscribers. It has several videos
with over 100,000 views. With so many videos
published and some relatively
successful videos. It seems more reasonable
that this channel gained its subscribers
legitimately. No way to be sure, but at
least it looks better. These are some of the
things you should consider when buying
a YouTube channel. Feel free to use other platforms to purchase your channel. There are discord
and Facebook groups where you can also inquire
about available channels. We are not sellers
of YouTube channels, and we don't have extensive
knowledge to guide you through the steps to buy a YouTube channel without risk. However, we can at least
guide you on what to pay attention to in order
to reduce that risk. In the next class,
we'll talk about a text to speech
service that allows you to use your own voice for your videos in
different languages.
48. Text-To-Speech Service That Works Wonders: Hello. In this class, we're going to talk about a high quality platform
that allows you to duplicate your voice to create voiceovers in
different languages. It's called 11 abs, and we mentioned it in
the previous course. This is a platform that offers very high quality text
to speech services, and the voices
sound very natural. This is the voice section, and you can see that I
have my voice cloned here. In the voices section, you'll find a wide variety of both male and female
voices with tags to help you quickly
find a voice that suits the content
you want to create. This tab here allows you to select from three
different creation models. As you can see, version
two allows you to create voiceovers in all these languages,
which is fantastic. Now, let's talk about what, in my opinion, is the best feature of 11
labs, voice cloning. This feature is
called voice lab. To create your own voice, you need to be on a
paid subscription. It can be the economical version that costs only $5 per month, and the first month is just $1. We are not affiliated
with this website, and we don't gain anything
from promoting it. We mention it because we believe
it can be useful to you, especially if your English
is not very fluent, or if you want to
create videos in other languages without
hiring a freelancer. Cloning process is quite simple. You just need to upload

49. How To Find High CPM Keywords For Your Videos: Welcome. We're
finally going to talk about how we can find high RPM
video topics that allow us to generate a good amount
of money without needing thousands and thousands of views to earn a
substantial income. First, let's quickly mention
how YouTube ads work. Some companies decide to automatically bid a
certain amount of money to display their advertisements on YouTube videos related
to specific keywords. Cost of displaying the
advertisement varies depending on the keyword and is measured
in CPM or cost per meal. Some keywords have
a CPM in cents, while others have a CPM
in hundreds of dollars. This strategy is
based on creating videos on topics
with a high CPM. Let's give you an example. If you create a video
about roblox with a $1 CPM and the video
gets 3,000 views, it means that this video
generated $3. However. If you have a video with a $20 CPM that also
gets 3,000 views, it means that this
video generated $60. That's a significant difference. How do we find keywords
with a high CPM? For this, we have to put
ourselves in the shoes of a company that wants to
advertise on Google. To do this, we'll use the
Google Ads Keyword Planner. This tool allows businesses
to create a strategy for which keywords to target
and how much it would cost. Once here, click on
Discover New keywords. Here, you can select the language of the
words you want to search for and the region from where you want to
extract information. This can be by country, city, or the entire planet. For this example, we'll
choose the United States. To find keywords related to
tutorials with a higher CPM, you can search for terms
like how to create, how to make, how to do, how to start, or
something similar. In the results, focus
on three columns. Average monthly searches,
top of the page, bid low range, and top of
the page, bid high range. The last two columns represent the minimum and maximum cost to appear at the top of
Google search results. Remember that Google
owns YouTube. This gives us a good idea of the cost of advertising
on YouTube. Typically, the CPM
for a keyword is lower on YouTube than
on the Google browser, but it serves as a reference. Here, you can see two terms with a higher CPM than the rest. How to create a website
and how to make a website. Monthly searches
aren't the highest, but it's still a decent volume. You can keep scrolling down, paying attention to
search volume and CPM until you find
something that stands out. If you simply want to see
which terms pay the most, you can sort it by clicking
on the column title. You'll see terms that have cost up to $900 to appear at the
top of the search results. However, the range is large, as the low end has
been less than $5. Nevertheless, the search
volume is incredibly low, so it's not a topic of interest. Scrolling down, you might find something with slightly
higher monthly searches. Here you have one
with 3,600 searches, which is still relatively
low, but an improvement. The term is how to create
a Google business page with a range of over $6 to
over $50, which is quite good. Further down, you'll find a
term with 4,400 searches, how to create a website for my business with a
more specific range between almost $6 and
a little over $24. As you can see, most
of the terms with a high CPM are related to businesses in
one way or another. So let's now search for
terms related to this topic. For example, we can search
for Excel, Google sheets, Linked in, and website, as these seem to be
terms with a high CPM. Here, you can see results with extremely high CPMs,
but low volume. This might be due to
a typo in Linked in, but this could be a
fortunate mistake as the competition for
these terms is low, and some of them still get
thousands of views per month. With such high CPMs, it's worth trying to
target these terms. Another way to use
the keyword planner is to search for terms
related to a specific niche. Instance, let's search for
words related to health. You can search for
terms like health, working out, yoga,
and nutrition. After the search,
look for terms with a good average monthly search
volume and a high CPM. This way, you can find
topics that generate a good amount of money without needing a
large number of views. Now, it's your turn
to experiment with the keyword planner
and find hundreds of video topics that can generate high earnings without the need for tens of thousands of views.
50. How to Trim an Already Published Video?: Hi. In this lesson, I'm going to show
you how you can trim an already published
video on YouTube. In case you'd like to get rid of your intro Oro or
maybe underperforming bits that aren't
relevant for delivering the information to the
viewer. Let's start. We are in our YouTube studio, and we need to
click on Analytics. And if we click on
the Content tab, we will be presented with this. Key moments for the audience, which by default is
separated and above typical intros and
below typical intros. But you can also check
for top moments, spikes, and dips on your
audience retention to take a well informed
decision regarding trimming, or not your already
published videos. In this case, we are going to focus on underperforming intros. Here, you can see this
video is retaining only 37% of viewers
after the intro. The first 30 seconds
of the video are considered by YouTube
the intro of your video. So after 30 seconds of running, this video lost 63% of the
viewers that clicked on it. Given the fact our
videos are super short. The 30 seconds rule for the intro does not
fully apply to us, but still it gives
us a good reference. What can actually help us in a more precise manner is
this chart under the video, which show us exactly where the viewer's
retention was lost. Look at this steep
slope on the chart. It's definitely within
our video intros range. This way we know, this intro is hurting us more
than it's helping us. I also like to take a look into DIPs so we can take a look at all these videos
and check for one with a very steep
slope on the chart. Look at this video on how to
translate U DME subtitles. 30% of the audience retention is lost in the
intro of the video. And during the
outro of the video, we lose around 20% more. This is something we can try to improve because let's be honest. No one actually likes intros and outros on tutorial videos. We as viewers only want the information
we are looking for. Let's work with this video. We can click on Go to Analytics
to open the videos page, and now we click on editor. Here's where the magic happens. First, let me tell
you one thing. If you want to trim off
the outro of your video, but you have an
end screen on it, you need to get rid of
the end screen first, so the system allows you
to trim off the outro. So we click on Edit end Screens. We select it. Click
on the garbage can. We repeat the process with the other bit of the end screen, and now we need
to click on Save. Okay. Once our video is
totally clean from n screens, we can click on Trim and cut. Now, we need to
search for the part. We want to trim off according to the information presented
by YouTube's analytics. But we also need to trim it in a part that makes
sense for the viewer. A good idea is to open
the videos analytics and look for the time frame that is hurting our
viewer's retention. Here you can see
the slope happens within the first 3
seconds of the video, and then it stabilizes. We can also click on play to check what's happening during this time frame.
Let's click on play. How to translate U to
me subtitles. Okay. First of all, As you can see, it's exactly the intro. This intro is making me lose
30% audience retention, and that's not ideal at all. Now, we go to the editor tab and search for the intro part.
Let's click on Play. How to translate
to me subtitles. Okay. Okay, so we can get rid of all this, including the bit. Let's move this limit
up to where we find it necessary. Let's try again. First of all, I need to
get this extension here. That looks good. Now, let's
take a look at the outro. We go back to analytics
and take a look. Seems like we start losing
people around here. The 1 minute and 12 seconds, mark. Let's click on play. If this video was helpful, be sure to leave
alike and subscribe. Did you hear that? That's
exactly the outro. As we suspected, we are losing viewers retention at the
intro and the outro, and that is affecting
our videos performance. We go back to the
editor again and look for the most convenient
part to trim off the outro. Once you found the
part, you want to trim. All you have to do
is to click on Save. This box will pop up asking
you to confirm if you want to trim the video because once the video is trimmed,
you can revert it. You would have to re upload the video and lose
all the views, comments, likes, authority,
rank, everything. So don't take this lightly. We confirm it, and
now we need to wait. It usually takes around 5
minutes to trim the video, but I will speed up the process. Here's our trimmed video. Let's check it out.
Here's the intro. Well, we need to get
this extension here. The video CC translator. Awesome. Here's the Outro. And there you go. That's how you translate subtitles in toy. Perfect. In case you'd like to cut apart in the
middle of the video, what you need to do is to
click on Trim and Cut. And click on New Cut. When you do that, these
two red marks will appear. These are the
limits of your cut. Everything in the middle between these two red marks will be
cut off if you click on Save. Let's try it. We can put
the cut marks around here. And if we click on
Play, this happens. Okay. Once the
extension is added, now to pin it to the search
bar, you click here. As you can see, the video is skipping the part
between the red marks. If you would actually
cut this part off, you would have to click on the checkmark and then
click on Save. Of course, I won't do that
because there's no need. But now you have a clear idea on how to do it, and that's it. As you can see, this is
a very simple process, a useful process because
for this type of videos, the viewer doesn't
want to be greeted. They just want the
information they are looking for, and
that's the truth. See you on the next lesson.
51. Making The Search Bar Your New Best Friend: In this class, we're going
to take a look on how to use YouTube's search bar to find video topics in a
more efficient way. I know using the search bar
can be annoying because it doesn't let you copy the suggestions. Can
only click on that. And if you do, it will
take you directly to results while losing
other suggestions, that may have got your interest. So let's start writing
something on the search bar. I want to show you that using underscore on
your search term still works for getting feeling words within a
term you are researching. For example, let's
write how to Instagram. If we put the underscore here, the search bar will suggest some search terms replacing
the underscore with words. In this case, I got the
feeling words right away. But you don't get them, remember to add a space
after the underscore, and it should work
just like this. Now let's add the word
delete right here. Even if we get some results, let's delete and write
again the underscore. To be sure, the search bar
understands what we want. Okay. Let's say we're interested in a few terms
from the suggestions, like how to delete draft
wheels and Instagram. To be able to copy this term, we click right here on report
predictions. Don't worry. Nothing but will happen. But now from this
list, we can do this. We can copy them, open
a new YouTube tab. And take a look at it. You do your due diligence
like we told you earlier. You decide if the term is
worth pursuing or not. And you can go back to
the prior tab and copy the other term that caught your attention and
repeat the process. You can get even more
specific with your research and look for suggestions
related to this new term. While keeping your original
suggestions list for further reference or maybe researching more terms
from that specific list. This will make your search by research more
organized and faster.
52. Inspiration Tab: Was it Really an Upgrade?: Hi. Now we're going to take a look at the
inspiration tap, which is with what YouTube
replaced the research tool. Sadly, for some reason, YouTube thought that changing a perfectly useful tool full of precise information for
an unorganized tool with a little bit of
AI was a good idea. But well, we have to try to
make the most out of it. The way to get here is
to open YouTube studio, click on analytics and
then on inspiration. You'll see something like this. A search bar, a section called, what people are looking for, which sounds like
something very useful. Below that, you'll find the new videos to
inspire you section, which is a section of
new videos that you may use as an inspiration
to create a new video. All this information
is catered to you, using the videos you have
uploaded as a reference. Take a look on what
people are looking for. As you can see, even
when the name of this section sounds pretty
useful. It actually is. You get only 12 suggestions of very generic topics that
actually are not healthy. If we go back, we can take a look at new videos
to inspire you. Here, most of the videos
are related to IPO because I've been uploading
some Fone tutorials. But the vast majority
of the videos are intended to be trendy
rather than search based. Then again, not very useful
for a channel like CR. Go back and take a look at this tool search bar and search for something like
How to Instagram. If this was the
old research tool, we will get the
top 30 most search after keywords that
included the terms, how to an Instagram. But on the inspiration
tool, we get this. This box telling you
the interest level, viewers have on the
term Instagram. A similar section proposing
trendy videos ideas, and even when we use the
term how to on the search, it is showing trendy
videos ideas. We can refresh this
and we get just like title variations of a video
about how to use Instagram. In the what people
are watching section, you can see three videos related to how you
use Instagram. Remember, we didn't
search that term. We wanted ideas that included the terms how to and Instagram. But the inspiration tool is
stuck with the idea that you have to create a video related
to how to use Instagram. Why? Well, my guess is
because this keyword has the longest videos that
include how to and Instagram. And that's what
YouTube wants to keep people on the website
for as long as possible. Take a look. And yeah. Most of the videos
in this section are longer than the usual
search based video. There are some search based
videos here, but definitely, this will not help us to find high volume keywords
that are not saturated. So let's go back and
let's take a look to the section called Tap
searches for this topic. This one sounds like
something we could use. But then again, the
inspiration tool falls short to what
the research tool was. We got 11 topics that
might be useful, but we don't know which one has the most volume and
they are not organized. In fact, I know that
the terms how to an Instagram have more than
11 high volume keywords. Then why is the inspiration tool mentioning six low
volume topics. Makes no sense to me. But now, let me show you what I think is the most useful part of
the inspiration tool. It comes to doing research
for se Bach topics. The content gap section. These results are
the closer we can get to what the
research tool was. But still, the
results do not always include all the terms and
are not organized by volume. The list is bigger
and that's nice, but I would rather use
the search bar any day. Another issue is that before we could right
click the terms we were interested in and verify if that topic
was worth pursuing. But now it will open the term within the
inspiration tool. If you would like to search
for the topic on YouTube, you will need to select
and copy from here, open a new YouTube tap and pat. Making your research
process a lot less fluid. So definitely, this
was a downgrade, but there isn't something
we can do about it. I would recommend you to stick with a search bar which is more organized and it's
great for doing research for search
based channels.
53. What Topics To Avoid To Keep A Healthy Channel: Hello. Welcome to the last class of this course on
search based channels. First of all, congratulations
on making it this far. I'm sure that with the
knowledge you've acquired, you're more than prepared to start your own channel
in this niche. Now, let's talk about the
types of videos we should not create to avoid community
guideline strikes that could affect our channel. If we receive three strikes for violating
YouTube's guidelines, our channel will be
permanently closed. It's quite obvious that we
should not publish videos, featuring any kind of violence, nudity, explicit content, prohibited substances,
or similar topics. Ever, specifically focusing
on the topics that could affect us as owners
of search based channels. We should avoid the following. One. Avoid topics that teach viewers how to obtain
paid products illegally. For example, if you search
for how to download Fil moa, you'll find two types of videos. In one, they'll explain how to legitimately download fil moa
by purchasing the software. These videos pose no risk. But you'll also find
videos that explain how to download a cracked version
of fill mora without paying. These videos are at risk
of being taken down and can result in a community
strike on your channel. The first time, you'll
receive a warning, but the second offense
will result in a strike. While such channels may receive a significant
number of views, it's essential to avoid
publishing this type of content. Two. Avoid videos that directly violate YouTube's
terms of service. For example, if you
search for how to download a video from
YouTube to your gallery, which, let's face it. Almost everyone has
done at some point. You'll find videos explaining how to download your videos from YouTube studio or how to download third party videos
using YouTube premium. However, you'll also find videos like this one
that explain how to download third party videos to your phone without
being a premium member. You can see the high number of views this video has received. In fact, I posted
a video based on this topic and within 15 days, it was taken down and
I received a strike. This is why I found it relevant to mention this in a class. You are aware of what topics
you can and cannot publish. I'm aware that
downloading videos from YouTube goes against
the terms of service. But blinded by the
high number of views, I didn't make the connection, I forgot, and well,
I was penalized. As for how some videos of this kind remain
undiscovered for years, I don't know, and I
don't want to find out. Even if we were to learn, YouTube is continually
updating its detection system. I can assure you that eventually these videos will be taken down. This marks the end
of this course on starting an automated
search based channel. Hope you enjoyed it,
found it informative, and are confident
that we provided you with valuable tips and tricks
throughout the course. We would also like to
thank you for purchasing this course and for
placing your trust in us. We hope you feel that the
trust you gave us was reciprocated with high quality
content. See you soon.
