Alternatively, bring a favorite journal or some paper.

1. Introduction: Hello everyone and welcome to new class writing for self-discovery. This is a special type of writing is really important in crucial for our well-being. I truly love writing, any type of writing, but writing for self-discovery is my true love. And also as I work as a psychologist and life coach, I really like to use this type of writing with my clients because that helps them to really understand what it is behind their emotions and behavior. Some issues and problems. And it's really beneficial. And here are few more reasons why should you start writing for self-discovery? Through our everyday life, we sometimes walk automatically, completely unaware of our thoughts, our beliefs, and our life roles. We don't follow our true inner self. And that's why we end up unsatisfied with ourselves, our lives, our relationships, job of work. If we want to leave intentional and meaningful life to be satisfied with ourselves. And the way we take care of ourselves. If we want to build better relationships with other people, to expand our creativity and to live the life that is aligned with our personality. It is necessary, can be aware of everything that we have inside. It's really needed to understand ourselves. In the way to do that is to have meaningful conversation with yourself. And it's not so hard as it seems. There is a simple tool for data that you will be learning in this class, and it's called sentence competition. So I'm going to walk you through the process of finishing some sentences, are answering on some questions. And you will be finishing some really interesting sentences that will provoke thinking and will provoke the discovery. That discovery, I mean, by answering on those meaningful questions, you will be able to recognize some important things about yourself and the way you live, the way you think, the way you feel, and also the way you would love to live thing. And so we were able to correct what it's needed to correct in your life and to start what is needed for you to achieve one quality and fulfilled life that is really in line with your true inner self and your personality project. This course is divided into seven areas with five sentences or questions that you should finish or answer on. There is no time limit. There is no simple advice such as, don't think so much and just write what is on your, on your mind or sit and think for 10 min before you, right? I'm in take your time as much as you can. Some questions will be easier for you on some sentences, you will find a really simple. But for some sentences and for some questions you will probably need more time, but don't wait. It's important to answer each one. Categories that we'll work on. Our creativity, self-care, self-esteem, life purpose, personal growth, inner peace, and personal change. You can download the workbook that I prepared for you for this class. Or you can simply take one paper, one notebook, or you can type on a Word document, whatever you like. I hope you are ready and I'm really excited because you're here. I'm also going to practice this with you. I'm also going to answer these questions. So let's explore ourselves together. 2. Creativity: We're going to start with creativity. Sentence number one. Creativity for me means so we're all different and we all have different kinds of definitions. And your task here is to define what creativity means to you. Because that's the way how you will understand what do you have to do or stop doing in order to level up your creativity? Creativity for me is the way to get in touch with other people and to share the picture of the world and experiences that I have in some creative, artistic way. And to express myself in order to get connected with myself and with other people. It's also some, some type of therapy for me. I can say I love to write and I love to create this courses. So what creativity means to you? Finish the sentence? To live a creative life? What is needed for you to start leaving the creative life? You have to make some changes in your life. Do you have to make some special environment changes? You have to make some shifts in your thinking style do have to simply go to shop and buy some pains to start painting. So what is needed for you? What is that? One action or several elections that will help you to start living one, creating a life. For me. Maybe it's one thing that I should stop paying so much attention on organization, like how I will organize my creative work. Instead, I should just start working and creating whatever I, I'm about to create. And then the process will, will go how it goes. But I guess I wouldn't be more productive if I would stop overthinking about technical things. What stops me to express my career? So think about what are those things are thoughts maybe that makes you delay your work, your creative work, that you would maybe start immediately if that one thing is not there. So just like I said before, for me is that overthinking about technical things and maybe organizational things. So how should I do this? How should I do that too much. Thank you. Instead of just sitting and writing when I was writing a book. Well, I spend maybe whole year on planning, planning and planning. And then I realized when I sit down and when I start writing, the magic happens to creativity explode somewhere. And I probably stick to the plan, but I, I simply create the story or the story creates by itself. I don't know what is happening, but that's the point. Something that I want to share through my creative work is this is important question because you'll get the complete idea of what is the reason why you want to share your creative work and why you haven't need to be creative. So think about what you really want to share with all those people and what I want to say or show which your creative work here. I would say that I would like to share my experiences the way I see the world because I'm really interested in how many people are out there who think and experience things exactly the same way I do. And to connect with those people. So That's what I always strive to do with this course creation and especially with, with writing. And I like to share vulnerability, my knowledge, to combine my knowledge and my experience. I was writing. I just finished one Novell that is psychological Noel. And there I shared some things like how to try in life and overcome some really tough things like low self-esteem, loss of the person you love and all those negative things. And how to keep your Hard, pure and warm and how to never stop experiencing joy no matter how many negative experiences you have in lives. So I don't know, but I was really happy when I was writing that I wanted to share. That was my reason I wanted to connect with other people and help other people. So think about your reasons. And final question. When I would remove the fear and the shame, I would create what we usually think of some creative work because sometimes we think that maybe people will not like it, or we're ashamed or we have fear of being rejected. So many things are behind there. But now think if there is no, any obstacle on your way with which you create, what is your biggest wish? What is your biggest creative and need that is right there on your mind when you're hard. But there is some obstacles that prevents you to start working on that creative work. 3. Self-care: Next Friday. And category is self-care one of the maybe most important areas of our lives because I think if we don't take care of ourselves properly, any other area of our life is not going to be well, is not going to be the way we want. If we want to achieve good relationship, we have to be happy with ourselves and content, right? I'm a mom and if I want to be a valuable source of life lessons and life example and happiness for my kids, I must find a balance in life. I must take care of myself and being a good example for my kids. If I focus too much on my work, if I don't take care of myself, I will probably be not so healthy. I hope not so happy. And I will not be good for my kids or my husband's. So it's the same for a job. If I don't take care of myself, I will not be able to do my work in appropriate ways. So self-care effects on every single area of our lives. So let's dive into this category and see what is going to happen and change. I define self-care. Now I will try to finish this sentence. The way you feel about self-care, the way you think about self-care. Because when you define self-care, you will be able to recognize what are you doing wrong and what you should start doing to start taking care of yourself. Because first of all, there is no other person that can take care of us as we can. I mean, there are so many people who love us, of course. But we I mean, hi, I'm the one who decides, am I going to do something or not to? So now I will give you my example how I define self-care. I define self-care as conscience and completely aware. Thinking about myself, my emotions, and my behavior. I like to observe my behavior. And this is good advice to observe your behavior like you're watching someone else to analyze and to see what are we doing wrong and what are we doing right? What is harmful for you that you're doing, and what is good? I define self-care as creating the good balance between work, family, and rest time personal care? It's not easy, but it's possible. And yes, sometimes it's needed to sacrifice some areas of life and to quit something in order to take care of ourselves. So I think also the part of self-care is sacrifice. Aware sacrifice of some things e.g. I can say, and I can decide which I did. I will not work overtime. I will not focus on creating ten courses in a month, only to express my creativity or only to try earn more money, and then my health will suffer or my family I will I will not have time to be with my kids or I will not sleep enough or I will not have time to take care of the meals that we are going to eat daily. So I always strive to create that balance. So in one sentence I would say that self-care is completely aware analysis of my behavior, ability to make the balance to properly take care of. I really need to stop. Wait or let go. What do you have to quit, stop or let it go. I told you before, I prioritize self-care. I will not work too much. I will not spend so many time on unnecessary things that harm my emotions. E.g. I. Will not watch the news. I will not spend the time on so many unnecessary content. I will not overwhelm my brain. I will not e.g. let myself to be mad. So for so long time. Have some conflict. I will not let that conflict take a long time because it's harmful for my emotions. And these are just some examples. So think about yourself and your life and finish this sentence. I'm neglecting myself, my wishes and my dreams because now we talk about when different type of behavior and that's when we are really not taking care of our true self and what our soul once truly and deeply in sometimes we have strong reasonable reasons for that. E.g. I. Have too much work. I really cannot sit and write that book or paint that picture that I want it. And sometimes we have time, but we are neglecting our wishes and dreams and those needs that we have for self-care. And we have to find a reason behind it. E.g. sometimes I'm in for a long period of time, I was neglecting what my soul really wants because I was afraid and maybe people will not recognize that. Maybe it's stupid. What I want to do, there was fear of rejection or I don't know who knows how many things behind it, but I wasn't believing in myself. I probably had some wrong beliefs about that when I wanted to do. And when I found out all of those things, when I was writing on this question, I realized that I'm neglecting my self-care, my soul care, because that's the part of self-care. Self-care is not only drinking enough water or anything, fruits and salads. Self-care is care about our emotion cern our needs like need for approval and need for self-actualization. So now think about this one and finishes. Which is one thing that I should stop doing in order to better take care about my son. This should be simple, e.g. I. Should stop eating bad food. I should stop so much time on unnecessary things. Instead, I can sit down and spend 30 min a day thinking about the things that I can do to properly take care of myself. Now think about one thing that you can stop doing right now in order to create a better lifestyle that is aligned with self-care. And the final question is, what is one thing that I should start doing to improve my self-care? Here you can write about one thing or several things. And I had some things that I wrote, e.g. this is my new notebook. And here I write about food, health, vitamins, minerals, and self-care. So I can say that wine, this notebook is a step forward to better self-care because I started writing what I should do, e.g. here I wrote drinking enough water, have colorful plate. So having lots of vegetables and fruits and enjoying food. Then I wrote about proteins, fats, carbs, and fiber. And I started writing about anti-oxidants here, important vitamins, important minerals. So I did something, I started something that is really important for my health, which is the first key point of self-care, the physical health, I started planning, how am I going to take care of myself? So what is the one thing that you can start doing today to improve your self-care. But I did it. 4. Self esteem : Self-esteem is really important thing because if we have low self-esteem is really affects on our emotions and our everyday life. With low self-esteem, we're not able to build good relationships to sometimes to find the partner. We're not able to try in business we want. We are not able to believe in ourselves. And I mean, it doesn't matter if we're going to find the perfect job or the perfect partner. But it's really important how we feel about ourselves when we build self-esteem and self-confidence, we can do anything. We can feel better and we can perform better in anything we do. Now, let's explore this area. I have low self-esteem. When you finish this sentence, you will be able to recognize those factors that affect on your low self-esteem. And it's important to recognize those factors so you can do something about it. E.g. I, before, before I started psychology and before I researched so much, before I learned so many important things, I had low self-esteem. When someone criticize me, I was sensitive to criticism. I was believing that it's the through that everyone says. But now it's really not possible for me to measure my value according to other people's perspective. But it was a shoe before. And now you can explore what are those things, or maybe your thoughts, your beliefs are behaviors of other people that affect your low self-esteem? My self-esteem grows when here, when you finish this sentence, you'll understand what are those things in factors that helps you to feel better about yourself? E.g. maybe I can say when people give me some positive comments about my work, or when someone ask me for some help, I can feel valuable. I can feel better self-esteem when I do something for others, I would try to explore what are those things that makes you feel more comfortable, makes you feel more confident and to have positive feelings about yourself and your behavior. My best personal qualities are. Now here's the time to be nice to yourself and to write down all your rate personal qualities. If you are not comfortable with this, you can ask your family member or your partner or your friend to tell you how they see you, how they see your, your personal qualities and write all of them. I think I will build higher level of self-esteem. When if announced time to think about actions. What are those things that you can do to affect on your self-esteem levels? So these are not only physical actions. This can be e.g. I. Can start thinking about criticism in another way because criticism makes me feel low self-esteem. And then if I change the way I see criticism, I will be able to maintain the good imbalanced level of self-esteem, right? Or another example is, I'm afraid of making a mistake. And every time I make a mistake, I feel low self-esteem. So if I change the way you think about mistakes, I will change the level of my self-esteem or I can start practicing some skills that will make me more confident. I can start practicing e.g. assertive communication. I can start learning about emotional intelligence. I can start practicing some, some social skills, so I can start practicing some skill that is needed for war. So if I become better in my work, I will feel more confident and I will have more self-esteem and self-respect. So now, think about your life, your thoughts, your behavior, and about those things you can start doing to improve yourself is the final sentence in this category is the other way I can perceive my flaws. Use this sentence is a little bit connected with the previous one. If I don't understand What can I exactly do to change the way I feel? Then I can change the way I think and perceive things. And that's the way I can change how I feel. When you try to finish this sentence, you can take a look on first question that you wrote here on self-esteem category. I have low self-esteem when I take those things that you wrote there and try to see what is the other way. You can perceive those things. The other way you can think about those situations or thinks, and how can you experience them in some other way that will not affect negatively on your self-esteem. 5. Life purpose: Now let's find life purpose. How interesting is that it's not always needed to find life purpose. I realize we can leave live without purpose. Or the purpose can be to just simply be okay with not finding the purpose. So it can be a little bit complicated. But some people suffer because they are so struggling to find life purpose and they are not able to do. If you're trying to find life purpose. This category, this writing sentences and questions will help you. What is the thing that I'm doing that not makes me fulfilled and happy and I should stop. This can be connected with your work or your relationships with other people, or relationship with yourself. So think about what are you doing, but it's not in a line with your vision of your life purpose. Maybe you're doing some completely wrong job. Maybe you are in a wrong relationship. Maybe you don't like the way you treat your partner or yourself. What are you doing in your life that is completely not in touch or in alignment with your life purpose. You can find out what is that by noticing and thinking about your feelings, you're doing something e.g. I am starting to become some IT expert. But in my soul, I'm a writer. E.g. so think about your life and finish the sentence. Something that truly makes me happy and fulfilled is what is the one thing that always makes you so happy and fulfilled? And you can do that for hours no matter what. For me, it's writing. It's really writing when I sit and when I write novels and stories, I feel like I'm in a line with my purpose. I really loved the other things that I do, e.g. also this course creation is also the storytelling, right? It's some type of storytelling, but I don't like so much of technical part of it, but I enjoy writing the script. I enjoy telling you the story that I wanted to tell you. That is for me and what is for you. If I can choose my career, I would well, I wouldn't be a full-time writer. I would work somewhere in books. Any type of job where books are here. And the high road is so suitable for Disney cartoon. But those serious Disney cartoons that are sold touching and that's peak for about some really important parts of human experiences, like cartoon cocoa. So, yeah, if I could pick, I would be a writer and I would be called from Disney and they would tell me, this story is perfect. We want you to come here and write more. Okay, big dreams, but it's time for you to write about your big dream. So if you can choose to do anything you like, what would that be? Life purpose means from you. What is your definition of life? I would probably say that's life. Purpose is anything you do. You feel peaceful. You feel peaceful and you feel happy. And there are no any negative feelings, any Haydn reasons like doing something for money or just because it's all k and you supposed to you that that's life purpose. And recently I was thinking of connecting self-care and life purpose. And maybe self-care is a life purpose. And it should be a life purpose to really enjoy in life things in this chaotic life that we all live currently. Now it's time for you to define your life purpose is that I'm going to be happy no matter what. Or I'm going to become artists. I'm going to become something so your purpose can be connected with the work, like something you want to become professionally. Or your life purpose can be connected with the way we live, the lifestyle. You know, e.g. I want to live a healthy lifestyle and to take care of myself no matter what type of job I'm doing where I live, I wanted to have like some mindset. So when you are searching for life purpose, it can be you're searching for a specific mindset. I hope I helped you and now it's time for you to write. If you didn't came to some conclusions. Here's the next sentence that will help you. One thing that I can do right away to get closer to my life purpose. So like I mentioned, there could be two types of life purpose, like professional life purpose and personal life purpose. So when we speak about professional or personal, I can say, oh, okay, I connected writing is something I loved to do for my, my soul and it's also part of the self-care. So my step in my one action is sit and write that book. Finally, just sit and write. And that's what I did. Also in this professional way, is write more, write more scripts for more courses about personnel. It's like what I wrote here to build simple, healthy habits and leave my life according to them. 6. Personal growth: I hope you're writing for self-discovery is going well. I hope my examples helps you to write into the score you're alive. And now it's time for the area of personal growth. Personal growth means to finish this sentence now, and you should think about the term personal growth. What does it mean for you? How do you define personal growth? We completely differently defined so many things and personal growth for someone can be like professional growth, or it can be something that is connected with personal values are in the way we live, the way we think. Or improving some scales, I would define personal growth as my ability to support and notice my mistakes. That doesn't allow me to grow on any level of my life and ability to find the way to change that. So it could be the way I see some situations in life, the way I react to some situation, e.g. if I'm not satisfied with something that I've done, and then I notice that I quit. I did that so many times in my life. I involve myself so much in work and then I don't like how it did that. And then I quit. That was really not so smart type of behavior. So I decided to change that. And what I did is I said to myself, Okay, if this is not good, you have to practice more or you have to learn how to do that better. I change the way I was thinking about that, and then I changed the way I behave. That happened with my first class that I created. Because I created it with some smartphone. And it was not so good. But I had I had a really short period of time and I needed to do that in that moment, but it was not good. So later I delete it all. And I was learning about editing, script writing, audio editing and graphic presentations. And then I created the better class. And I did it the proper way. But I noticed that pattern of quitting. And it was not only about work, like okay, I will stop my work, I will quit. It was also a connected with how I felt about myself. I felt like a failure. Right? I quit and I felt like a failure. So when I change this, I allow myself to roll. Now think about your life and finish this sentence. Your way. Thoughts and beliefs that doesn't allow me to grow are. Now you should explore your thinking patterns and behavior. That doesn't allow you to improve your personal growth. Just like I mentioned, what was, in my case, the thought could be, I am a failure or I'm not responsible enough to accept mistakes. I'm not disciplined enough. I am really sensitive of all those beliefs and thoughts like I'm not capable of doing something. It's important to notice, not so good, not so valuable thoughts and beliefs. Now think about your thoughts and your beliefs that harm your personal growth and write all about them. Now when you have those not so good thoughts and beliefs, let's think about those good thoughts and thoughts and beliefs that motivates me. Personally. For me, it was the thoughts and believe I can do anything if I decide to do that. And the belief in the cart, that motivation is one thing. But discipline is more important than motivation. And these two beliefs helped me to really overcome those quick thing and all those negative thoughts and beliefs that we all have them. And to simply work on my personal growth on any. Elavil believed that in the thought that I'm capable of doing anything that is needed only if I decide, if I be persistent, if I stay disciplined. Now, I encourage you to explore your thoughts and your beliefs and some sentences that can help you in your personal growth journey. Which parts of my life change? I always say that our life is one system. And if we keep the balance between all areas in life, we will find peace and we'll find happiness, and we will be satisfied with ourselves and with our lives. So in order to do that, we have to discover which parts of our lives in that system not functioning really well. And it can be like my professional career or my health, my social life. Where is the problem? Where you should fix something? Where are you not so satisfied? Maybe you are not satisfied. Maybe you're working too much and you're socialize with your friends less, what are you neglecting? So simply, if you're not satisfied with one area of life right about there. And final question, this category is, my one goal for personal growth is, here you have a chance to plan the action you will do to work on your personal growth. It's one thing to just think about negative patterns and beliefs and thoughts and behaviors that simply doesn't allow us to grow and to think about, okay, this is maybe what I can do and completely another thing is to actually plan. What are you going to do? That can be e.g. like, I'm going to buy one book. Notebook or book. Okay. One notebook where I will write and plan exact actions that will help me in my personal growth journey or e.g. I. Will meditate every morning. I will practicing some scales. I will taking care of myself. I will practice more self-care. So anything that is important for you and that is connected with your definition of personal growth. 7. Inner peace: Now it's time to talk about one really important thing. And that's in our piece. I think inner peace is something that is not easy to achieve and to feel today when we're live so fast, alive and when we have so many obligations and when we have so many inner conflicts, it's really not easy, but it's possible. And the first thing we have to do, and the first step is writing and having that conversation with ourselves about inner peace. Human can find an experience, inner peace. If I created this sentence to help you to define inner peace, what is inner peace for you? How do you perceive that term, inner peace? I will give you my example. I think that every human can find the inner peace when he accept all the mistakes and all the floss you have, and all the uncertainties of life and all those unfair things that life brings to all of us. Second thing is when one lives in alignment with his own life purpose, we already defined the life purpose. So you can relay on that which you wrote. Now when you are defining the inner peace. So now just try in some simple words to define how you see and how everyone can find the inner peace. Is there something that you consider really important for inner peace, e.g. honesty or behaving a good way. E.g. if someone always is good toward others, that person will always feel peace. Find your definition. What makes me uncomfortable and disturbed is here you should find some situations and reasons that makes you feel uncomfortable and not so happy, anxious, all those negative emotions. Something that doesn't allows you to feel inner peace. It could be external like when something happened. Or it can be internal like when i think this or that I believe in this, or that when I pay attention on this, when I behave like this, think about that and finish this sentence. Here's one, a little bit complicated question, and it is, my biggest internal conflict is, well, this might be hard, not so easy to understand our inner conflicts, but I encourage you to sit down to take your time and to realize what kind of conflicts you have inside. So I had conflict who decide what is going to be my prime or job. I had so many interests in life. I generally think that life is too short to do all those interesting things and jobs and hobbies. And I spent so many years exploring and trying to find that one thing and that was really hard for me. And the second conflict was when I became a mom. And then it's like I needed to choose family or career. Yes, we can do both, of course. But it's a question of self-care. You know, yes, I can do I can work hard and I can take care of my family and kids, but then maybe my health is going to be damaged. I will not have time for for that self-care. So I also didn't want it to have to work like 9-5. And when my kid is sick or when he needs me, I cannot get out from that job and I cannot come home and help him. So I was struggling with this conflict than the I'm really happy because I managed to start this online career and to somehow balance between work and family.
