1. Introduction: Hi, everyone. My name is Sylvan joke and I'm an
instructor in this course. In this course, we're going
to be doing something very aligned to my identity
here as a Skillshare teacher. We're going to be doing
vision boarding using Canva. And in this class,
we're going to be using the free Canva version. I believe, as I mentioned,
in another class, using free version tools is
very important as you start out and as you explore things, and that's where I'm
going to go with the free version today. I tend to juggle between using the free resource and
the pre version for different realms and
different objectives in my career and
by business side. But for this training class, we're going to just be
using the free version. What I want for you to
consider when you're coming into this class
is having an open mind. I believe it's so
important to be in a space of being
open to thinking about who you want to be in this
new season of your life and how you need to show up to create that new
reality for yourself. I believe it's also
very important to be drastically
honest with ourselves because it ensures that we keep ourselves
accountable into the future and can make our
visions come into a reality. Sometimes it's very
difficult to just have goals which are
not heart goals, which don't relate to something that's very deeply personal if you have not really
understood or um, have full clarity on
where you need to go. However, while I've
mentioned that you need to have clarity on where you
need to go sometimes, you may be in a season of
life where you're not very sure on which identity
you're going to do. So say, for instance,
you're struggling with being an artist and being
a corporate person, you could have a little
bit of back and forth. But in this class,
you're going to be going into all that through embracing each part of your identity including
your vision board. The good thing about
a vision board is you don't have to separate different aspects of yourself when coming up with
a vision for a. So for me, I can be
the carpet girl. I can also be the artist and dreamer and skill share teacher and creative in the world and also create good products for clients and experiences for people and also create
just generally for myself. So that's the most
beautiful part of being in this season and also
creating this class. Another reason why
I've been creating this class is because I tend to create it or consider doing vision booth around the time
my birthday is coming in. So I tend to do them
between February and March because my birthday
is in February, I doing it a little bit earlier this time around
because I want to share the process with you guys and also integrate soft tools
because it's around the time that people
are thinking about the plans for the year and
the change in the seasons. So that's what we're
going to be going into. The only new additional thing we're going to be doing
as well is considering approaches on understanding
the subconscious mind and how to integrate moving your
vision void to actual reality. So we're going to
have a slipper roll. We're going to create
messages which you're going to send to your
future self to just encourage yourself as you go into implementing all the ideas and all the projects
that you want to put on your vision board into
coming into a reality. So that's going to
be everything that we're going to go
into in this class. I'm so excited for
you to join on on this class and for you to create something that deeply resonates with you because a
vision board is very personal because
you're the one who understands your
whole life journey, your whole life experiences, things that are
important to you and your plans for the next
season of your life. So that's what we're
going to be going into and welcome to this
kill share class.
2. Your Class Project: For this class project, I want you to work
on your vision. As I mentioned, regardless of whatever season it is in life or whether you are at
the start of the year or later on in the year when
you come to see this class. I want you to create your
vision bold using Canva. It doesn't matter whether you actually have Canva
premium or not. This is something that can
be applicable to anyone. I believe that the
main difference between the Canva
premium and Canva, basic, which is what we're going to be using in this class, is that most of the
resources are locked, right. But we can get pictures and things that we want to
put into our vision bold, which is mainly
just the pictures off of other resources
like splash, which you're going
to be going into and a little bit more resources. And if that doesn't work, you can also draw them out. You can create, um, you can doodle them
so that you can integrate them into the
general official board. This class, I really
look forward to seeing the the result that you work on because it's very
applicable to you. It's very relevant to
the season in time. And I think that everyone's
vision bode can be very different because we have different intentions during different
seasons of our lives. And we also come from
different backgrounds, and we also have
different realities in the different areas in
the world we live in, but we generally want
one whole community. So we can have one form of togethersm generally
gets us to the angle. So that's your cs project. But
3. Materials You Need: For the materials you're
going to be needing, you're going to be
using a computer. You can also try and
use this using a phone. So anything that has
Internet access, I prefer to use a computer because it
has a larger screen, but our phones are very
technologically connected and even have so much capacity
to do such amazing things. So if you're only
seeing this class on your phone and really
want to work on it, you can definitely
even do that on your phone because you
can get the pictures from Aslash or free resources like Google and use them and
paste them on Canva. Other than that, I'd like for you to get a notebook and paper. Um, this is going to be
integral in the initial phase, where we're going
to be jotting down the points before we
really get started into actually visualizing
and getting our vision into Canva and the final
output that we create. That's going to be
very important. So we can get started.
4. Journalling Your Thoughts: Okay, so we're now
going to be going into the ideas for the project. So as I mentioned at the start, as I mentioned at the start, I want to group my portions of life into different things. The first thing will be fitness, but this is under my idea of being very confident in life. I like to write it down
as confident most times. Another thing I
want to think about is my life experiences. So I think travel. I want to put a few pictures of destinations I plan
to visit for the year. Um, so this for you could
be wherever you want to go. So for me, it's going to be
parts within my country and somewhere like if
I travel outside the country or places
I hope to travel to. Another thing I'm going to
think about is my business. So my art business, I think I'm going to add the art stickers that
I want to work on. I already have a
cricket machine, so that's perfectly fine. I'm going to put pictures of
notebooks, slash journals. Also at the end of the year
to have worked on a calendar. Another thing I feel like
I want to work on is bottles, and t shirts. I'm going to just put
a few of these images. We see the pictures that I work on and
the resources I get. The four thing that I want to
think about is my dressing. So that's going to look like um, outfits, um, outfits
or dressing. Maybe say, for instance, for this something I'm
thinking about is going out for dinners by myself
or dinner dates alone. So this is something
like very personal that would be driving why outfit is part of
their goals on there. Another thing I want
to think about is investment or I'm
going to put it as knowledge as well because sometimes I
feel like we may have a knowledge gap that hinders you from knowing what
opportunities to take on. This would include research on opportunities on bonds so that
I understand what that is, um like say, um, I also would put, um, what area I want
to invest into. So going to invest
into my art business. Another thing I want to
invest into learning is actually finally
creating my website. I'm going to put this under under investment slash knowledge because it needs me to put in my love time and is
a heart goal that gets me to the intentions
that I have for the year. And finally, I'm going
to put in experiences. So while we do have
travel at the top, I think what is important to put in is something
like experiences. In my country, we have a
lot of national parks and, um, now I want to try hiking. I'm going to put in
hiking, camping as well. I think I'd also want
to go snorkeling again, in the near future and
also explore forest walks. There's a lot of
forests with different. There's one with
fully bamboo trees. There's one called carefree, which has very beautiful skips. These are the main things
that are going to be in my in my project, and this is going to
generally be what guides how my end results
is going to look like. So now that this is done and we have all the
ideas jotted down, I can now head out
to using Canva. If you've not opted
to put this on paper, you can also just do this on on a word document
or a document online or just add them in later if you don't feel like adding you've put
everything on here. I'm just going to doodle a bit because I feel
like these days, I really like doodling and it creates makes it be a
very memorable page. Going to put in some stars. Yeah, just some random things. This page is now just going to look like what is it called? Vision B. So when I open, like, um, all of previous pages, I know, like, when I
come onto this stage, this is gonna be like my
page for the vision board. So that's it. Now, let's
move on to using Canva.
5. Quicktips on Using Canva: So, now we're going to
start creating the um, creating a vision board. The first thing I'm
generally right now on my homepage
here on Canva. It has a lot of things on projects that I've
worked on before. I'm going to click
Creator Design, and because I want it to match the screen
display on my computer, I'm going to create, um, I'm going to search for I'm going to create
something custom. So I'm just going to swipe
down to custom size and create, 1960 by 1080. So those are the dimensions
for a general screen. So it's going to create some. And then I'll also open my MSlash page to just
have a quick place where I'm going to start
searching for the images that I'm going to be
downloading for this project. So now that we are on
the homepage for Canva, I'm just going to go
over different things. As I mentioned, I'm
using the Canva, free version for
this main project. I generally use it for free. If I know I can get
the resources which I want outside the main
scope of Canvas. So there's a design
space where you can design different things or see different templates available. And then there's a
space for elements, which you can get
different things like design like
circles, squares, different like
literary elements, text where you can add on text, brand templates, which
most of them here, seem to be on the premium side. Uploads as well,
upload my documents, draw is where you
can use your pen to, projects where you can
group things, apps. Here you can also find
Asplash is integrated. But we're just going
to be using Aslash the main page to just Oh. So this has apps which you
can which you can use, and then photos, which would be different photos that we have for the vision
board, and then videos. In this project, the videos are not going to be
relevant because you are intending to get
something that's static. When you add an element, right, like a different
let's just go with when you add like a box element, you can choose to
have it flipped. Like, you can flip it
to different sizes. You can edit, like
the size of it. You could also look at, like, whether you want to add some bolder or not
add boda at all. This is good when creating
pre frames for yourself. So you can just,
increase the frame to that point in size. You can also choose to have
it dotted or none at all. Then you can choose to round
the corners or import, like a rounded corner
like box instead. Then you could also
crop the image. So for cropping, you have to
you could choose to, like, rotate it or, like, leave it at the center
and just, like, undo. And then this is like the place that I like the most,
which is transparency. So when you have, like
when you have a gradient, you can reduce the
transparency of the item at the front to make
you see the item behind it or increase
transparency to make it fully like not present. Then anime is
something that, like, would inform how the
video is coming in, but it would not
be very relevant for this part of the project. Then the position
is very important. So when working
with this project, because you're going to
have a lot of layers, you can choose to have a
project at the front or at the back to the top. Like you align it in
different places very quickly using these items at the
center at the far left. So there's this is
good features to have. Another thing I'd
want for you to note is when you have two items, you can choose to
highlight both of them, right click And actually, you can choose to highlight
both of them and group them. And then this makes the
two items move together. So say, for instance,
you've merged the two items right there or, like, have, like, made this a little bit
more transparent, but it's still present. But you don't want to
move it separately. You want the two
to move together. You can highlight
them and group them, which makes them move together. You can also lock
these items in place so that they don't move at all. So if you have selected, for this item to be at
this corner, right, you can choose to
lock it the corner, and you won't be able
to move it at all, not unless you click on
the item and then unlock. Then once you unlock,
you'll have to, like, ungroup the item so that
you can move it separately. So those are just the key things which you may need to know. As you're working
on this project, I think they're like, very light things, but very common things or
guide the whole use of EI. So at the far bottom, we just have a layout, but might not be very
relevant at this point, but as we go over it,
you can choose to, like, have a zooming
of all the pages. Um and increase the zoom of the page, for
instance, right? Then you can have to you can
choose to have different, like, page layout so
that if you want to add, like a lot more pages, or
view it from the top down, or view it as different, like, groups of pages. Pages. So I like, move to full screen. And, like, that's generally like everything you
may need to know about using Canva as you're
starting out on the project. The only other thing
is you, at the end, can export items and export them with a transparent
background if have Canva premium. So some of these
features over here are limited to having
Canva premium, so it's not relevant
for the class, but we're going to be able
to work on it regardless. So those are the key things
that you may need to know. Yeah. So we're just going
to go back home and what we can do for
just quick reference to see how things look like. Sometimes you tend to
find that people have already created
different things, and as you can see,
it's already available. Like, there is like the tab, like vision board, which we
can definitely create later. Those are, like, items which are on the premium
side of things, there's different photos like
which people can integrate. This is generally just
for quick reference. So what you want to just like if you're
new to using Canva, it would be good to just
go over this and see. And then we can also just go
here and also just search Vision board and see
how it's going to be. So if you want, like
this type of texture, it's something that
you can download from some different resource or use to integrate use to integrate like
what's already here. Um, as you can see, most of the pictures don't
provide, like, a quick template
for a vision board, because we would generally
find it on here. Let's see whether we're
going to find it on design. Um, yeah. So this is
but as you can see, it's a premium resource. A lot of them are just going
to be premium resources. There's something like this, which has, like, a lot of lines, which is a nice, which is
a nice inference to have, but we're going to
just be creating something from scratch, so we don't really need to use this at this
point in time. So no. And at this
point in time, is when we can now actively start getting the pictures that we're going
to be downloading. So that's the next part.
6. Getting the Pictures: So we are now going to just go back into
getting the pictures. I'm going to get my journal at this point in time to just, like, go over the main
things that I wanted to get. Um, so the most
important thing to think about when going into and splash is like thematic colors
that you want to work with. So for me, I'm going
to start out with the first thing that I
mentioned, which is fitness. I generally just I'm going
to just have, first of all, a quick swipe through the
page to see what I want to have embodied in my work and then see which
pictures I'm going to take. I like the fact
that there's a lot of, like, female inferences. I like this image,
but some of them have a restriction to download. So this ones require
like premium payment. Um, I really like
this one because it shows the person, you
know, gym background. I also tend to work
out in the gym. So the gym and the background in the gym
is what makes sense for me. But I also I like this aspect of having
something different. So I'm just going to
grab this picture. First of all, I like this
aspect of being outdoors. So I'm just going to get a few pictures that
are very realistic. For me. Then I think
I want to get, like, one with weight because I do a lot
of weight training. So we're just going
to go back up in fitness weights just
search for weights so that I can get
something particularly lim around well
weightlifting, yeah. So is. But so sometimes you can get these
pictures here, gym weights. But they may not be free, and that's the
whole reason that, like I go into Once flash
or something like this. This is actually something good. I think I can work
with this, as I also applaud the other image
that I have grabbed. Yeah. So we have to image
it so far. Odd fitness. And then the next thing I'm
going to go into is travel. So so I'm going to get, like, a few pictures
of Singapore. I really like this one. I think this is, like,
very aligned to, like, the theme that
we're going for and one for the night. So, the other thing
that I mentioned before is I like the environment
in my country. So I'm just gonna grab one image directly
from the Internet on that because I know
for sure that I'm not going to get
it anywhere else. So we're just going to copy
image and drop in here. That also generally uploads
the image on the platform. So we're just going to paste
a few of things things. You can choose to just, like, drag and drop
directly from here. Drag and drop. That would actually be the easiest thing
for you to choose to do. Then I'm going to go
into my next thing, which is art stickers. I'm going to get
something very random, which I can find available.
I like this a lot. This one's actually,
like, really perfect. I think it's aligns to something
I'm going for channels. Wood. Um, for dressing, I like to choose spintest as
the main homepage for, like, getting some design ideas. I definitely love this. I think this is,
like, very cute. I think also something
official experiences, I'm going to get hiking. Hiking trails, yeah,
something very very coming. Like, I like something
very coming, very relatable to my reality. We don't have snow in Kenya. So I wouldn't, um, relate to, like, a
very icy cold image. I like this whole camping image. I also am going to get
one on snorkeling. Um, this one works very
well, as well as this one. Then, forest walk. I already got this
one the main place I want to go is carefree walk. But we can just add
one more thing. Yeah. So now that I'm done getting all the items that
I need for the project, I'm just going to
move them into Canva. So the main thing I'm going
to do is just drag drop and, like, slide everything in. Um, I think, I have a lot to work with now. So now we can move on
to, like, the next part, which is designing the
homepage and the layout of my main homepage so that I can drag in
all the pictures in. Yeah. So let's head into that.
7. Designing Your Visionboard: I want to go with
very muted colors. I think the first thing
that we're just going to be doing here on the homepage is to just see the
different designs, as you can see the different mood boards and
different styles. So the different mood
boards give you, like, a view of the different
colors people have or have chosen
for their projects. A lot of it looks muted, which I really like, but
I think we can go in for, like, something bold or
something a bit different, which has, like, more identity. Once you click on
One, for instance, you're going to see
very different colors like different themes
like this one, which is fully a different
color which is more resonating and more
inclined or something like, which is purple, which
is just a bit different. So we're going to just, like, do something that's
very relatable. And I'm going to just quickly
delete these two pages, and then we can finally
just start creating this. Well, I'm just going
to clean up this page. And what you're going and what you're going to
do at this point, is just go to the elements page and
grab a different shape. So, for me, I want box shape. That's a box shape
which can fit into the images so that I can slide them and arrange them around. So I'm just going to
go for square frame. So it's very important
for you to pick the frames because the
frames is what the pictures will fit in rather than going for something
completely different. So I want, I like
this type of fims. I'm going to just
duplicate them a lot, and then we're going to resize them differently at
different places, and then add different texts. I'd like this in the
corner because I'm thinking of having the name
vision board in the middle. Then I'm going to just
resize this based on, like, something random or just like a random look
that I want to integrate. We can add different
shapes as we go along. And then we can choose
to just move things around and see whether
it makes sense. I'm just gonna add a
humor and then grab on, like, some different frame time. So let's just see the
different frames. I think this one's
beautiful for me to replace and avoid a
sense of monotony. Then a circle frame, um, you just break this
into something similar. Then I'm gonna give the
background a color at this point. I like the deep red or a
burgundy kind of look just going to see how it generally looks or let's see whether
something muted is better, um I think, let's see. Pink. Um hm. It's very muted. So we can change
the color later on. But the main thing the
colour will do is it creates like a grounding
sense for the piece, so that everything or, like, everything aligns
to the final look. So we're just going to go
with that colour temporarily. And then I'm going to be
dragging in pictures. But, first of all, I
think I want to create text boxes to just
create for me the um, the different zones of my life that I want
to group things into. So continue. The main thing I want to look at or at this
point in time, is to have thematic areas at different places so
that I can have, like, one general look. As you see, I'm typing
for one with a textbox. They always tend to
have textboxes when you check the
rectangular shapes. But I'm just going to add
something over here and start out with fitness
as the main tagline, I'm going to change the font. Yeah, I like this font. So so as you can see, you can have it in
different, like, quits, and I like the one recommended. So we're just going
to go with that. And then I am going to reduce this so that we can fit it
somewhere and have, like, that thematic area B, like, the key area for that zone
because I'm going for, like, more muted colors. Um, I am going to just
search for brown, so that we can use that
as the main background. I like that better.
That looks much better. I'm actually also
going to change this to something more muted. Yeah, I like that better. So everything around fitness
is going to be around there. And then I'm going to
duplicate this and piece it somewhere else to cover the next thematic
Asia, which is travel. Then everything travels
going to be around here. You can reduce this
based on, like, whether whether it needed
to be reduced or not, I'm just going to do what I think looks good
for me in the picture. So you can have it
overlay or be beneath, and then you can duplicate that. And I want to use the
same, like, design, you can have in this zone, be the outfits where the look. So I'm going to
just name the name, the looks, and then
I'm going to switch it up actually and
have this instead. So I'm going to just ungroup it first because I want one
text, one text layer, so I'm just going to
delete that and remain with this and write 2025, then I'm going to
remove the size to, like, something
around that size. We're also going to just, like, make it smock at the center. Then at least now I can change up the colors to
be something more muted, which aligns to the
colors I'm going for. I think I'm going to make it
a bit darker brown instead. So you have a lot of
colors to choose from. You could also choose to
put the hex codes on here, but I don't have I feel fine with working with the
colors we have available. So I'm just going to go
back and use that color. Then switch up this position
right here. I'll see. Maybe you'll change that again. Yeah, I think I'll just switch
it up and have that here. And then I know, just leave it as it is. I'm now going to paste in
the images that I have. So for the travel images, I'm going to grab this
picture right there. Um, for the looks, we're going to just
slightly to the corner and just have it fit right
there in the corner. You can make these
things smaller or bigger based on how you want it to look like because I have two looks
going on on here. I am going to just combine, and then I'm going to move
this item to the front of the two so that it looks more
more put together already. So So we're just going to, like, align the items
from the corner. I like that already. Okay, so I'm just going to make this, like,
slightly bigger. So that I can see it much more. Then I'm going to move
the slide image right there and try upload the
other image of Singapore, which is the green
background image. We're going to just
script them right there, and then I can move. So you could choose to
lock this item so that it doesn't affect other items
that I need to move around. As you can see, that's the whole drawback of
inputting it initially. Then I think I'm going to just Change up the text again
because I want something more. Let's just see how it looks. I think I prefer this text
much, but it's moment. Yeah. So I'm going to
just switch to that text. We will have this image
right at the corner. Then I can make it slightly
bigger so that it stands out. Um, other than that, I'm going to actually just delete this item for now first. When I just switch up these images and see
which one works, but I think I'll make
them slightly bigger. Um, I like that. And then I can make this
longer to just, like, match, then move this up a bit. Or, like, have something
that also matches that, which could be the
travel thing instead. So I'm just going
to replace that in here to make it make more sense. I can move this up. I also can decrease the size. There arrive, there we go. Then make this slightly
bigger and think about, like, something aqua I want to do, be present for each experience. So I like that, like, something that I have
come up with, right? Then for this, I'm
going to now, like, have it much like a
different brown color that's lighter and more more
calm, more relaxed for me. So we're going to go with that. Then I'm just going to have it at the back,
yeah, right there. So it can just slightly
slide underneath. Then we're going to have, like, another picture right above, right here, which could
be the high image. So going to just make
it slightly larger. And then move it to
exactly where it was. Then have my um, yeah, just in between
these two images, but, like, moved
up to the front. I think I want it
to be at the front, most area. Yeah, that way. So already, the image
is taking shape. I have a lot of nature and natural items looking
in right here. So I just want to expand
this a little bit, maybe bring it to the fort so that it doesn't seem that this is at the
fully at the front. Then, however, I want
to I want to just, um, edit out this image a
bit first to just make sure it shows only the C part instead of each part around it. So I like it that way much
better than it was before. Then I'm going to make
this into more of a triangle instead
a rectangle, sorry. I'm going to make
this into a rectangle instead and just
have the night look. The night look right here, then move it up to
just show the camping. Already, this gives a sense
of travel, life experiences. We're going to
reduce the text here and also make it bold. I don't know whether
we can make this bold. Um, let's just leave it as it. Um, Actually, I think we can get something that's
mobs, or this one. So I'm just going
to try out a few. Yeah, I think this one
looks much better. I won't change you can choose
to change all the phones, but I don't want to
change them all, so I just want to
change that one. Already this is
really looking up. I'm gonna have my business
images show up right here, then expand this a
bit into the corner. Um, Great though
creating for you. I'm going with quotes, which I'm creating myself because I think it's very
important for me to just, like, feel that it's mine. I think also it just relates more or makes it more
relatable to me. So I'm just going
to go with, like, something that is gentle
but also just works for me. Yeah. I think I like the color. Then we're going to
just go back into the images and see which
images I have in put in. Then I'm going to
move things a bit around over here and see how, like, I like the look
of things and reverse. So this is generally,
like the main journey of creating the whole project
because there's a lot of, like, your ideas
coming in and going. So some things look very
organic because they just are. Then I'm going to just paste
in a few more images of art. Um, so in this part, we're just going to be just
adding a few more items. So that's why it's looking very, um, slow, let's see. Then I'm going to get, like, a texture ingredient to just, like, balance things out. Something sort of
like, um um, fabric. Yeah. Let's just try it out
and see whether it works. Um, So I'm just gonna drag this across
the whole piece and and position it fully at the back to the
back, completely to the back. So the main reason
I have done that is because the previous background is looking a bit
too plain for me. So I want to create, like, some space in between
the items also so that, like, there's more flow and, like, things look more uh, working together, per se, let's say, things
look more flowy. I think the textured
background gives us a better opportunity to see. Let me just also get something that looks like a
warmer notebooks. Um, something like this. I think this is actually better than the initial image
that I had in mind. Um, so just going to download that and then
replace it right in here. Um, so so far, this
is what we have, but I want to add, like, a few textbook elements, um, like on here. So, um, each love its Johnny. And see the effect of
using this colour. I prefer this colour better. So I'm just going to
trace the color first. So now that I've found it, we can just switch everything to that color for
now and see from, like, an outward perspective, whether I really like it or not, I'm going to move
this to the center so that and then I'll
drop this image and, like, paste something
completely different. I want us to have
very distinct lines. I think I'm going to just go
for a more uniform design. Position. Forward. So, creating this
is actually very refreshing for me because
I'm actually sharing, like, my general
experience as I go. So you just have to keep, like, making tweaks and
changes until you like it because not
unless you like it, you won't actually
end up using it. Or if it's too strong, if it's not, like, warm, 'cause I feel like
my main challenge at this point in time is, like, there's a lot of color and then there's too much warm. So I want to have more
color everywhere. So I definitely should
give up on that and then, like, get something
more colorful. So colorful fitness. I actually don't
even think I put in my fitness image in here yet. So remember, you can
change the position. So when you press
backward on this, it just moves it
behind one frame. So you can choose to move it
in front of the frame or, like, behind a
different element. So I like how it's
behind one element, but in front of the other,
we're just going to expand it. And then h for this one, I want it to also have the same aspect of,
like, positioning. So I'm just going
to click on it and select position,
then press forward. So we're just going to have
to move it around so that the text shows up as
I press backwards, it is like within some items. So no, I don't like that. Then we're going to leave
it at that point for now. Then for this, I'm going
to make it brighter. Actually, we're making
a lot of good progress. I think I like more
blue toned colors. So we're just going to try keep seeing whether
I'm finding clarity. I think I am. Finding, like, a theme that makes
more sense for me. And this is mainly 'cause I'm picking up on the
background being, like, the like grey background, like, very um, height, but also not too bool. And I really like that. So now we're gonna add some few more elements
and complete the piece.
8. Adding Personality Touches: So now that we found, like, a little bit more clarity with the direction and the visual direction that I'm going for, I'm going to add a
few more elements, which is like swiggi lines, some glitter here and
there, so that, like, it creates, like, a whole fine cohesive
look for the piece. So that's what we're going to
be going into in this part. So I'm just going to check different graphics that
is possible to put in. Um, simple drawn objects. This could work well because I want some squiggly lines
like like right here, but on a different shape. So we're just going to
search for, like, lines. Yeah, to just see
the different lines, which is available for use. For some, you'd
find like you want to change the color
and the direction. I like the stars a lot. This is so beautiful. I think I'm going
to integrate that. I also like the butterflies. I think we can integrate
it right there. Then let's just see all the
recommendations they have. So this is just like the
final piece, which will just, like, bring together the
whole look of the project. I'm just going to,
like, look look at recommendations that align with things I've
worked on before. So this is, like, based on, like, AI feedback, a little bit of um, and also from, like, things I've also
ever created before. So now that we have
a few to work with. I'm just going to
go with those ones. I'm going to switch
up the colors to match the project
colors for me. So I'm going to
search for, like, plutons so that we see whether
it's too bold or, like, too muted or act
Oh, I like that. I think we're just going
to leave this as es, then bring it down
and just, like, place it like right there where it brings out
the pieces together, then have this, as I'm going
to just switch it down. So you can rotate these items to like 90 degrees to just like, like, uh like, bring
both items together. Like my key message for the ear, as well as as well as this item. So I'm just going to
minimize it a little bit, and then I'll change
up the color and just have that blue colour
that I'm going for. So blue colour that
matches or probably, like, a white color. It just depends on what's
going to look good for me. So I'm just going to try
out different colors at this point in time
to see. Yeah. Yeah. I like this. It's a bit
more bold, but it works. It works. So I'm just going
to switch it a little bit. It's, like, working
cohesively into this and then press it right
at the center of that. Then we're going to bring down the butterfly a little bit. Then we're going to make
it into a white color. If I can change the
background for that. I don't think I can change the
background for that, sati. Then for this buddhas you can switch it
up under the angle. There we go 180 degrees. Right. Perfect. Then put it
up there where the quote is, like, which creates
some bit of accent. I'm gonna switch up
the color or, like, make it very So that it blends well into the different few colors that
I'm going to be adding in. Uh huh. So there we go. I'm going to duplicate
this because I really like its whole look to just, like, fill in the negative spaces that I have
here and there. I'm going to replace the
butterfly with, like, something completely
different because I can't change its
background color. So let's try this quickly line. Probably I can change
the color of it. Yes. So here we go. So just reduce the size
a bit and then place it like right at the corner
and see how that looks. I really like that. I
think I'm just going to duplicate this and bring it actually to this full corner and then it make it like
an accent corner item. So it's gonna move this around, then gonna put that right there. So going to colors. Actually, I'm not going to
switch out any color for it. Then for this quickly line, can bring it on
down here to just, like, create some
interlinking of the piece. Then I'm going to try and
make this bolt so that it stands out and is
more more appealing. Gonna make it like
a tad bit bigger. Yeah, just a tad
more. There we go. Yeah, I think that's
like more standing out. Like, it stands out
a little bit more. Then we're going to switch the position and move
it like a bit forward. Yeah. So we're going to move it forward, just
be on top of it. And then I'm going to merge these two items so that
they always move together, actually, after I revert
the position of this. I'm going to group
it so that when I move it around, it
moves together. There. Then I'm going to just get another element
to fill in this area. So we're just going to search recently used graphics because I've used a lot of
different graphics, which are a bit
more random before. So like this one, we're going
to just trust the process and search up its color to
something more vibrant, more toned down, actually, so that it blends into the other elements,
like right here. Okay. So let's see. So yeah, so I so that's it. So at this point, I don't think I'm gonna
make any changes. I think the whole layout of the item works much better
at this point in time. I feel very confident
because it integrates their themes of,
like, travel, um, the themes of my fitness, a little bit of
the quotes I want, the business side of things. The color is more
balanced at this point. Initially, when
we started out, I didn't know what
color to go with. So but I like that, like, I tested out different things and got to this point
which I like the color. So at this point, I'm just
going to download this item, and we're going to download
it as a P&G because we want, like, the biggest
size we can get. And then we're going to
see how it looks like as an individual image just
in itself to now like, put on your phone or
put anywhere else, and then we can finally, like, get into, like, writing down the quotes that we want to
create for our future self. So there we go. Wow. So here's like so here's a
general final look. I really like how it doesn't
have so much going on. There's a lot of focus
on fitness and travel, which is generally at
the core of my life. There's also, like, a lot of focus here and there
on, like, my business. And there's also,
like, a focus on just being very present. I think one of the things I removed was the bit on dressing, but it wasn't very,
like, integral. I feel like my style never
really changes much. So I like how the items
look at this point. I feel like it
speaks to me a lot. It also, like, shares, like, things that I
really do appreciate. While also being cohesive, I have also found a way to
integrate different colors, the pink through having
the different elements. And that's the beauty
of using Canva. As you've seen,
we've done all this without using any of
the paid options. So that's why I really like
integrating splash as, like, the main resource for, like, getting
pictures and images. And also, if you're traveling
within your country, customizing it, and
getting pictures for backgrounds in your space. Think that's very important so that you are able to work on it. The main thing about it, as you download pictures, is that for this project, you're working for
it for yourself. So you're able to, like, integrate it just into
your personal life. So you don't really need to be feeling a lot of
pressure about, like, incorporating people's
like interest pictures or pictures from other resources because you have
no intention of, like, making this into, like, a product for sale. Then if you in future, intend to sell it as a product, then you'd have to
incorporate those aspects. I think for me, the most integral
part, which, like, created the first basis of the project was actually
creating the background, the texture of background
with a fabric. It created, like,
the main basis and the guide for the final look. And while it was a
journey to get to it, I think it still,
like, shows, like, the beauty and the
essence of using Canva.
9. Notes to Future: So we've come to, like, the semifinal
part of this class, which is getting you to
the end of your, like, vision board and,
like, into reality and transitioning it into something that's more useful to the world. So we're going to be writing down notes to my future self, and, like, it's
something that I have learned through
reading a few books. I'm just going to share
the quote right here. And the main thing
the quote goes into is sharing the journey of manifesting things into reality and moving things from
your vision board into, like, something that's
reality in this case. So this is very important because many times you may
feel like detached from, um, an intention because you
don't know how to get to it. So this is going to resolve
that by giving you like, an opportunity to actually be successful in
getting the project. And I'm just going
to write things like around, like, the
things I've written. And then after this, I'm just going to
put them in, like, different pockets
in my jackets and, like, clothes in
the house, like, a shot somewhere or like a notebook that I read
like here and there, so that I can always be motivated and I can keep moving
forward towards the goal. As I look into the
key reference was, first of all, is travel. So I want to write a note. Hope you're loving. Hope you are loving Singapore today. Is it the ticket? Any outfits, selected. So this is just gonna
push me towards, like, and make me feel
more excited about, like, the whole project
to go to Singapore. I think this is such a
good way of integrating hope and integrating your
wishes into your final, like, ideas coming
into fruition. It goes, like, very
deeply into exploring, like, things that
are important to you in your notes for the year. And that's the cool
thing about it. So I finally set the vision board at the
background for my home page, and it looks very grounding. It has all the aspects that
I really want to remember. And, like, this is
the final look. So just consider doing
this as the final part of making sure you keep remembering what's
important for you in the e.
10. Final Thoughts: We've come to the
end of this class. I am so excited to have
shared everything with you. I believe vision
bolding for me in this new era of my
life is something that incorporates so many
segments of my life. As if you have been
an avid watcher of, like, my classes on young, we've covered so many
things from being an artist from I've mentioned a few times about experiencing
artistic block. In the past, I've also done
a lot of planning videos and also explored my whole
corporate journey at work. I believe vision boarding for me in this new year is something completely different
because when I struggled with artistic Blog, I think the thing that I
stopped doing was creating. And while I'm now on
this side where I feel like I've come
back into myself, the thing I know I shouldn't
have done is stop creating. So it's so ironic how the life changes and
the lessons we learn. But that's very important in considering your
plans for the year. Because for me, I think in creating this
vision board today, I thought about being drastically and brutally
honest with myself. And I believe that
this year for me or this new season for me is
a season of creating much more into the universe
and creating and sharing my personality and being fully honest with
the people I meet, like, in terms of being creative
and being open to being one in the world that pushes
so much for us being on, like, the coppet side and
hassle side of things. So having a vision book
that reminds me about, my goals and my intentions and also integrates the beautiful
things that I love in life is something that
keeps inspiring me to keep moving forward in
the next phases of my life. And I feel like integrating all those aspects
that I mentioned before on manifesting and your
subconscious and your conscious mind is so
important in moving your money moving your vision
from just a vision to actual reality and
ensuring that you become the new person you need
to be to confront and be in this new reality that you want to
create in the future. So that's the end of the class. I'm so excited that you
joined on on this one. I look forward to
seeing what you create and have an amazing day.
