This time we'll have a look how to create a beautiful or reach dark colors which will complement your tender flowers and will add more contrast in this glass. Firstly, we will have fun with colour mixing. And then as a class project, we will paint a flower composition applying our new color may exist. 2. Supplies: In this class I will use the following materials. Watercolor paper, that is my sketchbook, watercolor, brushes. I will need, I will use a 31 for painting with water. Second, 14 weeks in my really dark black color. For this, I suggested to you Sam saying they dig brush and one for adding color and like concentrated color. So you will see how it is in the process for this class is really great if you will find some kind of color palette which contains quite many cells. So then you can experiment with more concentrated colors and also differentiates of colors. What abort? It's better ones around two bought, one for cleaning your brush and another one to have very clean water, water color paints grabs the ones in which you have. We are going to use all those blues wireless, which you have greens, emerald green. And then we will add a bit of orange, yellow, red. So grabs all Spain's which you have, and for sure you will be able to make sense out of them. Really beautiful, rich black color.
3. Mixing Black Color: Let's have a look at which a beautiful, rich black color we can make out of other color. So which we have in our color palette. Have a look at all those blue colors which you have in your color palette, and some green ones. And then just better to take some brush which is has a synthetic bristles so that it's stronger. And then we start mixing all the colors. That is cobalt blue. But check was always blues, which you have. This color is what is called jazz blue if your veins are a bit too dry like my 1's. So just spread them with some spray and then start to make them. So BBDO blue time, they can get quite thick. Beautiful, ultramarine blue. So that is a mixture of all Blues. Wireless. It requires grains which you have. And we'll see what we will create with this mixture. That color, which are how is called just original green. And you see how it's changing already. And with more of green. So your idea is to get really, really dark black color. And this one is emerald green mix in more and more. So here we have, now it's really thick and dark texture. Now I clean my brush. So you have mixed all cool colors which you have in your calibrated greens, blues, violet. And now let's add some warm colors. I will add orange. I clean my brush so that dirt implant colors. I will add cadmium yellow. Here. I have clean my brush, and now I will add some red color here. And I have here some kind of really dark black mixture. I have cleaned my brush and now to this one, again, I will add some more of these blue colors, the violet and green. So here we have our really, really dark black color. And now that is interesting part. Let's have a look. What we have got here. So that is a really beautiful, rich black color, but in fact it's not so black. With another brush, I am adding just clean water. And I start to spread it this way. This way. Water. And here you can see that in fact, it's not just pure black color. It's really, really beautiful color. And now you can see that it's getting, starts interacting entities getting more bluish. And it's really, really, really beautiful. What we can do as a next, this mixture, I leave it as it is. And here I'm cleaning my brush in one cell and another cell of my color palette. And here, and you can see here it's like getting less, less and less concentrated paint. So here I have and then I clean my brush. And what I wanted to show you here is a comparison of this color with another. I don't use black, but I use are also quite often Payne's gray. And let's compare how it looks. Payne's gray compared to this color which we have. This black, dark like, dark gray color compared to two Payne's gray with water. And we start to spread. And here you can see. And in my opinion, this one is much more beautiful when it's concentrated color is really dark, bluish, black or gray. And this one is just like quite symbolic rate, another dark color which I also use. So quite a lot for my floor L. So that is indigo exists. And now let's add water and we will see. So z's color is more beautiful than Payne's gray. So this calorie is more like whiz bluish shade. But still I would say that this color is much more interested in is it has much more shades in the color. I know. So that is one thing which I wanted to show you what kind of dark blacks you can use, for example, for your flower centers. And four leaves are like one. You would like to add really dark leaves and bring a contrast that to your floral.
4. Mixing Dark Shades: Now let's have a look at what else we can make out with our Aziza. Darker gray mixture. I will add to the cell less concentrated paint. I will add water, or you can add just like Zs. And now we have really, really diluted color. And it's really beautiful. It's really beautiful, bluish color. So really beautiful color. And what you can do when you are painting, you can add a bit darker. Like painter was really lightweight and keep on adding some some darker. That is it the same color mixture which we have got a habit like less concentrated, less and less. So I'm painting with a really light, with lots of water and adding some concentrated one once it will get dried will be really beautiful with these color bleeds. What else we can do actually, or we can, based on this one, I can add a bit of emerald green. And then I will get this kind of really beautiful color. Then I can enter albedo of blue. And I will get this kind of beautiful color. Then I can add some magenta. Maybe just on the tip of my brush, a bit of magenta. And I get this shade. If I will add a bit more of my agenda, then I will get z is shade, really beautiful gray color. So I can add ultramarine blue. And then I will get these shades of green. Now it's getting darker. So in every day when you would like to make it lighter, shade is and you have to move to another cell and to add more water. So that is another color, really, really beautiful shades for leaves and also for some flowers. It would be really beautiful colors that I have added a bit more of magenta, a bit more of magenta. And you get this kind of color. And the same that you can paint with a really diluted color. Yeah. And then you add some darker, darker mixture you can add into this and you will get a really, really beautiful these kind of shades. Just play with your grace, your mixtures, and what kind of experiments that you can get and what kind of really beautiful other Boston pale and these kind of winter scholars you can obtain plane with this like actually like cold colors, cool color cell from your color palette.
5. Vintage Flowers in Watercolors: Now let's have a look at how we can apply this, our dark shadows in our flower compositions. I will use, for flowers, I will use two colors, is that is author, Rose, yellow light. And I can add a bit of ultramarine French. Alter my watch, my color mixing class. How to grade the pastel dreamy colors. Then you will recognize that this combination of colors and meet more of ultramarine and a bit more of arrows. And be moral. Because I want more like some kind of why let's shade or pink you shade. So that's what I'm looking for. Okay. Now I feel I think that I am happy with this color. And let's start so that we're making just simple five battle flower at. Let's imagine that it's looking into that direction. And then I just introduces a color. If I will add a bit more of a burros, get into B more. So this really beautiful windows. And four here. Then I will add a bit of dark color into the center. And this starts to interact. Let's add one more flour from a site. It starts to bleed really nice. And I will make some more pinkish color this way. So I just have, I did more Oberon rows and it has created this color. Now I have here a concentrated color. I can enter same opera rose to this dark color and be more of a Burroughs. And now I have already really dark Wireless. And I also get it here to the flower center. And let's add one more flour from Z site. Just also that one seed and the whole justice several battles. This time I will add probably a bit more of ultramarine. Does this mixer, and it's going to be more like violet. And this way, these, but this flower. And I will let the same dark mixture. Which I have got by A1 being Oprah and maybe golden color. And you have this really, really beautiful color bleeds. Now is financed br leaves here. Let's make some kind of stem. We'll make it the same like this way. And then it's going to be some, some leaves are going to be from this side. And lead Spain's him first with water, some shapes. And oh, really beautiful. I will take one more brush or for A1 darker color. The same. Yeah. And I would like to do a bit more of opera rose so that to make the color more violet. And here with darker. Then again with water, I'm using through brush has one more live first-day adds these color which we have created a while mix in dark grays and some water. And then the width say nasa brush, I'm adding concentrated color. So that is the same dark gray, which I have mixed up with oppor arrows here. And I would add one more, four here. It's going to be really nice. And first was the scholar. Yes, it's so beautiful and know about you, but I really love lousy scholars. Zed is so beautiful salt then there. And you can create these kind of really beautiful shades. Color bleeds. Okay, so here we have and let's add, let's play what we can get. Other colors. I wouldn't, some warm yellow does this mixture and we will see what I will get here. So that is the same early dark gray black, which we have mixed in the previous part. And now we will add somewhere for four here. Some leaves. First was water, and then I add this green color, which I have mixed by it in warm yellow disease. And then I would get the same really dark color. In some areas. And you can make some line as well. And these brushes with water. So I'm using three brushes. Look really nice. And let's add some more leaves from this side. And I think that for this one, I will add a bit more of opera. Really beautiful color. So that one has got these black. Then I have, I did warm yellow and I have got green. And now I have added opera being. And I have got these kind of shade. So it kind of leaves. And from this side, let's play a bit more. We scholar, I will add French, ultramarine. And that is more like wireless. I think that I will try with more yellow and we'll see what we can get. And that is quite not really nice color, really gray. But let's try that. What we can get, okay, let's start with these gray. What we can get, let's see what, what is this color? This is beautiful or not. It's actually quite like call gray color, I would say. And I would say that it would be nice if to this call gray color. Let's make some where four here, one more leaf. And I would say for we'll add a bit more of operable to this color, then it's going to be really beautiful. And now it is, it is beautiful. It's not so cold. Right? Now, it's warmer. And I would say that I'm missing here some kind of leaves. And it would be nice to add some leaves which would be a really dark color. So I will use a Really, this, really look that is really beautiful. This black color which we have created. And I editor as it is without water. And connecting here to the stem. And for here, I will add, I will mix. I will add a bit of opera rose to this color. Does it to make it a bit more like violet color here and four here, I will add tomar leaves. So probably several more of these really dark leaves for here. Yeah, and you can see how it gives already is a contrast to our floor ALS this way. But what we are missing, our flower centers. So just with the same, that's what I was telling in the beginning of the glasses at, with these really dark colors. So you can add a really beautiful flower centers and does a great illusion of the volume of our flowers. And you can see we have got to really beautiful dreamy flowers. So here we have our flowers and have a look how this gray has turned out. And I would add some background and some splitters. Lets you know that I live with this part. And then the painting would be finished. You can make bluer soundbites and also makes a really beautiful effects. Everything but just sandbars. Yeah, you can make it blue. And then I will use this pinkish color, which I have had before. And I will suggest some splitters. And then with a dark color, I will add a bit more of, I have added a bit more of opera. And I will let some of dark splitters. That's it. And this part, I will make it a bit more so that it won't be really hard defined age. And here we have our composition, gas that player with mixing your black sand and see what you can get out of them.
