1. Class Introduction: Hi, I'm David, an IT professional musician and content creator. I've been writing and producing my own music for some time, and I recently started this process of sharing my knowledge and expertise around content creation and music production. And now I'm also focusing on how to get value from AI music using real world examples. This class features slightly more advanced use of Canva around importing data, which we are going to do by generating our quiz in Chat EPT. You are going to learn how to create this quiz from end to end. I don't go into any detail about AI music generation, but you will learn how to generate some AI music and add it directly to this project in Canva. I would say this class is for slightly more advanced users of Canva. But even if you are a beginner, it may still be worthwhile following along. As always, my goal is to get your creative ideas flowing so that you can create your own awesome projects. Okay, great. Let's get started. Oh 2. Class Project: For the class project, a really easy task. I'm not going to ask you to submit anything that's completely new. But really, I'm hoping by the end of the class that you're going to be able to create your own fully custom quiz. If you do and you post it to your channels, please put up an image or even better actually a link to your social media quiz post. Yeah, that would be really cool. Love to see what you come up with and like to see if your post gets any attention as well on your social channels. That would be great. Let's get going. 3. Seting Up in Canva: Hi. This lesson, we're going to work from an existing Canva quiz template and rework the design. It's not really a Canva tutorial this lesson or a design tutorial. So having some existing Canva experience will really help you out here. You'll need to spend some time fine tuning the template design so that it works for your own quiz. My approach today is just simply to take you through the process of each stage of this project so that you have enough info to be able to create it for yourself. Okay, let's start. Let me now put in here. In the search function, we're going to look for a quiz template. Then we'll serve up so many templates here, and we can decide which one we want to use. This is the one that I've been working from just to get as far as I have. So you then click customize this template, which we'll do. And we're now on the template page, and you can see down the bottom, we have page one, which in our quiz, acts as the question and the options. And then on page two is the screen for the answer. If I actually bring that through back here and play it there's some animation there, there's the question and options, and page two, there's the answers. From here, I'm going to spend some time just changing the design just to improve it, and we'll be back. I'm coming back shortly. Here we are back in Canva, and this is what I've done with the design, which looks completely different. I think the main reason is because of that background that I've put on has really brought it to life. The rest I've made very little change to, but we've got a much fresher looking design for us to now start applying some music. The changes I made then were the background video, which I searched for in elements. Then I changed color of the options and the answer panel, put rounded corners on the boxes, updated the heading, added a tick on the answer page. That was it. I didn't change any of the fonts or sizes. If you're creating your own quiz alongside this lesson, then you can spend some time now getting your design to look good or you can change the animation and then be ready to move on to the next lesson. Which is about adding the music. Let's go. 4. Adding AI Music in Canva (with Soundraw): I Let's add some music. To do that, we're going to we're heading down the left hand side here, and I'm looking for audio. So we're sticking in Canva for our audio needs. And to start with, they've got I've already put in a search up for pop, but they've got just there's hundreds and hundreds, probably thousands of pieces of music that you can use for all of your content here. I've not looked at the terms and conditions, but I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine for your social media. And yeah, there's just mountains to choose from. But let's move on because I want to look for apps, here's apps, and we are going to use Sundraw Soundraws app, which is built in to built into Canvas. We click on the Soundra app. Now, I'm in, I think it will ask you to log in on Soundraw which again is very straightforward. It's as simple as this. You click Choose your style. I've already put in a few that I wanted to work with. I wanted a happy mood and a house beat. Let me do it again, actually. We'll just generate some new music and then your music will generate within a few seconds. Let's listen to the first and see what's given us. Interesting. Sounding good. Okay, we're going to use this one, so I like that. That's got a good beat to it. If you use it, you click the use button. In doing so, it will take a few seconds and add that piece of music, which actually is 3 minutes and 8 seconds long. We're not going to need that amount of time. It's added the music down here. So if I play it, It's only playing for as long as the content is available. When we start to add more content, then we can expand the music. I'm happy with that. We've got our royalty free unique piece of music added to the start of our quiz. So now let's just finish the job and we will create some questions using old French GPT, of course. 5. Creating A Quiz in ChatGPT: In Chap EPT, I asked it to give me a prompt to be able to create a quiz, and it gave me exactly what we need. So that's all you need to create a perfect quiz for using Canva. And the only thing that you need to do is change the subject matter for the quiz itself. So let's just give it a spin and see what it gives us. Okay. I mean, that's absolutely great. It's completely structured it into a table format. You could take that copy and paste that literally like that, copy that, which actually I'm going to do now because that's what we're going to put into Canva. You could paste that into Excel, and you could you know, for use anywhere, you might want to do something a little bit more sophisticated. Let's jump back to Canva. 6. Adding Quiz Data to Canva: Now we go back to our left hand column, and again, we're looking for apps. We click Apps and we find this entry here called Bulk Create. So Bulk Create is going to allow us to add our data, the data that we copied using Command C from Chat EPT, so it's directly on our clipboard. So now we're going to either enter our data manually, which is what we're going to do or you can upload your own data, which you could have taken from a spreadsheet, making sure that you selected the top table filled there. Now, command V, paste in the data is now being added. A looks absolutely fine. And we're going to click the Done button. Right. Having done that, we now need to connect data to our elements. We've got our question, we've got our options, and we've got our correct answer. It's as simple as come over to the question, select the question. Actually, there's a button up here. It says, connect data. I'm going to click Connect data and I'm connecting it to the question. That data is now connected to the question. Option one, connect data, connected to option one, two, connect data, connect to option two, three, the same. Right now we head to our second page. Now, you do need to do the same thing again. Otherwise, the information is not going to appear. We got something extra that we have to do here. Unfortunately, it's not 100% automated. I will explain more. Also, I've got down here. I'm just going to connect to this little bit of text down here, the correct answer option. We are all connected. And the next thing that we need to do is click Continue, and it will ask us, do we want to generate five designs? When it does this, it literally will add the designs. There's new pages, so it will create them. So I'm going to click that generate that. That has done. It doesn't appear here. You have to go back to your homepage and pick up the designs. I'm going to do that now. I'm back on the home page. And you'll see that it's generated a new entry called bulk one. It's left the original next to it intact, and there it is. It's generated a new version which contains all of the questions and answers. We have to now check all the answers because the animation for the correct answer is always on number one. You can see that I've moused over the first answer, which is number one, and that was correct because you can see it animating number one. But however, when I continue, keep going along, the correct answer for this question is number two. But because it's done a bulk animation, it will always animate the first entry. There is a manual aspect to this, which means I need to manually put the animation on the correct answer. I'm clicking on that and the button at the top, which takes me to animation, and then I go all the way to the bottom and I'm using an animation there called wiggle. Clicking Wiggle, and it will now put a little wiggle on the second answer. But I also have to remove it now from the first answer. Then let's grab that tick, drag it down so that it's next to answer number two. You'll need to then go through the other questions and answers and do them all manually where they need changing. I've got a little bit more to do then just to finish that off. I'll have a look through the others to see if I need to change any of the answers. It is a bit of a shame that there is this manual aspect, but once you get the hang of it, it's actually pretty quick to do. Okay, so I'll do those final changes now, and I'll be back with the finished product shortly. 7. Bringing it All Together: We've actually covered a lot in a small amount of time here. Great thing about this project is that once you get your Canva template set up, you should be able to create these quizzes quite quickly. I mean, we're very fortunate these days that we can use tools like CaCEPT to provide us with that entire quiz and structure the output. And then in a few clicks, we can bring it into Canva and automate it, you know, almost entirely. Yeah, it's very cool. Anyway, on the quiz itself, I did tidy a few things up. I added a bell which ings like this. That's when the answer appears. There's always more you can do to improve content. I think the trick is knowing when to stop and to actually get it out there onto your social channels. That's the important thing. Anyway, here's the final output. I hope you like it. 8. Well Done!: Congratulations for completing the class. There's actually quite a lot going on in this one. If you seasoned canva user, then you should have found it okay, for any beginners. If you did follow it all the way through, then really well done to you. If you were able to produce the whole thing, then great work. If you can, please add it to the project. Here. I just need the link to the social post I'd really love to see what you've produced. Cool. Okay, if you have any questions, then add them to the discussion, and I'll do my very best to answer. That's it for now. Hope to see you in my other lessons. Okay, bye for now.
