1. Intro to the Vision: Hi. I'm welcome to my course on lease. Your business model, which is part off a serious off course, is that I've designed to help you to start and grow your own business. Now, this 1st 1 will be concentrating on vision. Why you need a vision for your business on the importance off having one. Now, if you want to start your own business and you have no idea off where you're headed, how do you know when you get there? More importantly, if you go off track, how do you get back on track? Now, let me quickly introduce myself. My name is more or bad enough, and I have been in business for over 10 years, and I'm passionate about helping businesses to grow. I've reached over 500 businesses through my 1 to 1 coaching, mentoring on training. Currently, I'm a lecturer at the South Bank University, where I teach on the MBA program. I teach Enterprise on entrepreneurial management because we now know that we can teach the skills on characteristics off successful entrepreneurs. Now when I take on the new clients, the first question I asked them is what they're looking to achieve because without a vision . It's like starting the journey with no destination on. For most entrepreneurs, this is where the journey starts identified. Uncreative. That's compelling vision business. So join me on this course where you would also be creating your own visual. Thank you. 2. What is a Business Vision? : welcome to this course. Where are we talking to you? About what a vision is why you need one on how to create a compelling vision for your business. What is a vision? No. Whether you're using a smartphone, a tablet laptop or sitting on a chair while listening to this course, guess world these things were once just ideas in someone's head on did not exist, for example, in order for that smart form to become a reality. First, it was an idea on that idea was fleshed out into a vision, using imagination before finally becoming that gadget that we now know as the smartphone that we can't imagine being without. Now you see where most people have an idea. They do nothing while others take action. I begin to look at different ways that they can turn that idea into a vision, doing whatever it takes. Now, when we look at this thing called vision, it does no have to be something brand new. Remember these old MP three players? Then Apple came around and turned it into something stylish and sexy on made them so aspirational that everyone rushed out on got one. Well, I certainly did you see for you to create a vision? It doesn't need to be brand new or groundbreaking. It just needs to be something that you can put your own twist on. It could be your customer service, your packaging, your process, anything to differentiate the old products from your new product or service. Finally, let's take a look at the Oxford Dictionary and see how they define vision. See, is the ability to think about the future using wisdom or imagination. Now, when I work with my clients, I get them to close their eyes when they're thinking about the future, because I feel that when you close your eyes, it's kind of helps you to focus on that thing that's there in the future. Because, remember, we're trying to imagine something that does not exist yet. You have to visualize it on. The easiest way is to close your eyes on. Let your imagination roam wild. Now I'm gonna take you through a few examples off successful companies that have been able to generate great wealth on become hugely successful through their great on inspiring vision statements. So this one you guys must all know because we use their products and software. Andi, this was kind of a great big vision for them because they've only just started. Yeah, it's Mike Unsolved. See, your vision really needs to be big because you just never know. You might be able to achieve it, have a vision that makes you feel slightly uncomfortable, so it motivates you to get it. Now guess this one making people happy. Now I've been here and I'm sure a lot off you have. Yes, it's Disney. I remember my first visit to Disneyland Paris. I literally felt like I had achieved all my dreams. I was so overwhelmed because, remember, Disney is a part of many people's childhood. It was certainly part of mine. Then how about these guys, Nike? Guess what their vision was back then? Yes, was to crush Adidas, and I'll leave you to decide whether they achieved that vision or not. Now here's an example over a vision, which I feel I'm not quite feeling. I don't know about you. It goes on and on on is actually longer than this, Broadus added to cause it's now. If you're trying to convince people you meet stakeholders, investors, customers, employees, anybody who might be able to help you to get to the next level. You want to make it easy for them. You don't want them scratching their head wondering What are you talking about? You don't need to have a 10 page vision. You just need something that is short so people can remember it when you see it. Anyway, that's the end of this session. I'm joining the next lesson. Where will be looking at why you need a vision for your business. 3. Why You Need a Business Vision: in this lesson, we're going to be talking about why you need a business vision. Now try to imagine this your business as a permit. On On top of that pyramid sits your vision. This vision is what would help you to define your goals. Understand what your mission statement is on, of course, will help you to get those people that are going to make your business successful. Your customers, suppliers, mental investors. Your business vision will have an impact on these people. Everything that is going to make your business a success kind of sits within this permit under your vision on. That's why you need to get it right, as it will affect the whole business direction and how it operates. Another reason why its importance is that if we don't have a business vision, it's easy for us to go off truck every time we're thinking off new ideas off how to do things, new projects we want to pursue. However, having a vision statement forces us to stay on track on no get swayed away by the difference things on new ideas on our mind when you have a vision statement on its written down it forces you to stay focused on D keeps you on track. Now this is an example off one of the clients I worked with in the past on this is a vision statement win spire girls and young women to celebrate everything about themselves. And that's me on the left, modeling one of her T shirts. Now she was so clear about her vision that she was able to get a free billboard campaign worth thousands. This happened because she knew what she wanted on. When she met people, she was able to convince them about what it is she wanted to achieve. Now this billboard campaign blew up over London in summer 2017. She was on the BBC ITV on other radio stations. As a result, off that campaign and of course, their efforts on I'm happy and proud to have supported A along the way. When I first started my business, my first vision, which was measurable, was to reach on coach Ah, 100 women, and I was able to do that quite quickly because I met a lady in my network who runs a woman's networking group, Andi. Together we came up with an idea off me hosting a woman's networking in my town. And I did this for two years, every fortnight on guess what? I was able to achieve my vision much faster than if I hadn't shared it. The fact that I had a vision meant that it was easy for people to help me. So I believe having a vision statement is the key to business success. So join me in the next session where you will be creating your own business vision, a compelling vision for your business. Thank you. 4. Creating Your Vision and Wrap Up: welcome to this final part off this short course, how to create your own vision. This is going to be the most exciting part of it. Because you're gonna get to create your own compelling vision on. I do hope you have fun doing this. Now let me quickly set the same. I don't know if you've read em Steve Clovis Book the seven habits of highly effective people and he talks about starting with the end in mind on it uses the analogy. Where is your funeral? Your friends and family are there on he gets you to imagine what you ology they would give i e What would they say about you? Now? I'm going to flip that slightly and make the events a bit more interesting. So what I wanted to do first is find five minutes, grab five minutes. It won't take any longer than that. A quiet place on off course tones off imagination. Now, this is my scene. I want you to imagine it. Your 70th birthday party. Your friends and family have come to celebrates with you. Imagine that you're healthy. You're successful on you've achieved all your goals Business, personal life, goals you've used this business off yours as a vehicle to achieve all these things in that scenario. 70th birthday. Happy, successful friends and family around you. I want you to ask yourself this question. What difference has your business made to your customers on the community? That's the question. Now take five minutes and do that. And when you come back, I'll still be here and we move on to the next bit. Now I hope you've done your vision. You've written it down. Remember, it's not going to be perfect the first time. But you know what's You can always go back and edit. But if you haven't written anything down, you can't edit a blank page. So go back and then come back here and I'll talk you through how you go about editing it. Now my key tip is using the model. A tip on is the miniskirt analogy. Some of you might have heard of this before. What you need to do is imagine when you see a girl in a miniskirt. Visually, it short it covers the important parts. Hopefully on, it creates interest. Now, this is what we're trying to achieve with your vision statements it needs to be short. It needs to communicate all the benefits or the most important parts. What you want people to do when you've given your vision statement is toe. Ask you questions about it. You want to create interest. So to help you, I've actually got a few sample vision statements in the project area below that would help you to create yours. Remember, it might take time to develop, shared with your friends. Family business coaches share its here and let other people Aunt Andi give the feedback. Anyway, this is the end of the course, and I hope that you've enjoyed it. If you want to share your vision, your success or your journey with me, you can hit me on all my social media handles. Which is most Mageau. The name of my business. And I would be there to help you. So good luck with your business vision. I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Andi. I'll see you on my next course. Thank you more. But you know, to your success
