treasure online course. My name is Francine and I
will be your instructor. For this course. You will
be needing crochet hooks, the yarn of your choice, and some recycled Kansas. I will be teaching
you how to transform these into beautiful
accessories. You will have a
variety of colors and textures that will depend
on the yarn you choose. This is your opportunity to get in touch with
your period itself. You will soon discover the wonders you can do
with your bare hands. This course consists
of two projects, head bands and necklaces. It is your time to channel
your inner creativity. And I'm here to help
you along the way with this unique projects you'll be contributing to
the upside thing. So get ready because it's time to start your
creative journey.
2. Tools and Materials : In order to complete
this project, you'll need some
tools and materials. So let's go over what you, first, you're going to
want to choose the yarn that you'll be using
for your projects. There are natural fibers
such as wool, cotton, bamboo, or there's also the synthetic ones
that are a crib. You can use any of these, just make sure that
it's not too thick. So get creative and choose your favorite
color for the project. You also need crochet hooks. Around three to 4 mm is what
works best with the cantons. Remember there are
aluminium hooks, there's bamboo, and
there's ergonomic. Choose the one
that you feel more comfortable with to,
to your product. And the course you'll be needing the main product,
the recycled campus. Depending on the project, you'll be using
different amounts. As you can see in the picture, there's usually a
variety of Kansas. So make sure to use
the same ones for the other materials that
you've been reading. Our scissors, a
needle and thread, some glue, and a small box. These are the main
two and maturity. Depending on the projects
you'll also be using e.g. fires, some jump rings and other things that will be
addressed in the tutorial. For now, we gather all of these and get ready to
begin your project.
3. Crochet from Scratch: The base for all projects: Hello and welcome to unit two. This is crochet from scratch. So in this unit, I'll be teaching you
everything you need to know. In order to make this
amazing products like the head bands I will be
making the nightclub. So let's get started. Here I have my crochet hooks. Depending on the projects. We use different
types of numbers. For this project, we'll
be using the 3.0 mm. Since we'll be working
with concepts, I will show you the
process of cleaning them. First, I pour them in a
small container with water. Then I put some hand
soap and I mix it. I'm going to pour the water out. It might come out a bit dark because of the dirtiness
of the canvas. I place them on top
of a paper towel. And then I take another paper towel and I put it on top of
it to dry them off. Now that I have in clean, I'm going to select the
ones I'll be using. Tried to avoid the ones
that look like this. Here is the materials I'll be using in order to
make what I like calling that can tap
strips. Just like this one. I've got my clean and ready
to use can collapse my yarn. My hook in this case is 3.0 mm. And my small class in case I want to stop in the
middle to hold it in place. Here I have two concepts. I'm going to be placing
one on top of the other. I personally like better
how it looks like this, but you can do it the other
way. Let's get started. I first take one Kanter. I'm going to be placing the
yarn inside the big hole. And I'm simply going to do a double knot with my
hands just like this. So here I have my double
knot and I'm ready to start Crow shedding. I'm right handed,
so I'm going to take the hook with
my right hand. As you see in the guide, we do the single crochet stitch. This is a start I'm
gonna be doing all the way around the
back of the cans up, which is the big part
where the big hole is. So I just do a single
crochet stitch all the way around until I
cover the cantor. Here I have this small yarn which I'm going to try to hide. But you can also just cut it. But I'm going to be hiding it in the stitches. I'll be making. You simply take the crochet hook and do a single crochet
stitch all the way around. And as you can see, now I'm hiding what was left
over from the initial nuts. Then I'll be cutting
what's left of it. And now my last single
crochet stitch to cover the entire cantor.
As you can see here. Now, as you can
see from the back, this is what's leftover
from the initial amount, which I'm going to
cut at the end. Now I'm going to take
the second Kanter. I'm going to place it on
top of the first one. And then going to be doing the single crochet stitch,
holding them together. The hook is going to go the
whole of the first one, the small hole of the
first one and the big hole of the second camp. Like this. I do one and I'm gonna do
another single crochet stitch. This is the start
of the tab strip. Now I'm going to take the third. I'm going to place it on
top of the second one. And I'm going to go inside the
big hole of the third one, which is going to be inside the small hole of
the second one. And I'm going to do a
single crochet stitch. I'm going to do this twice, like, just like this. And now I've got
my third cantor. I take my fourth, put it on top of the third. And single crochet stitch. Depending on the
thickness of the yarn, you can do two or three
single crochet stitches within each hole. For this one because
it's a bit thick. I'm just going to do to
take the 6th can tell. I'm going to do again to
single crochet stitches. 1.2. As you can see that Canada is
starting to take its form. I keep on adding as
many candidates as I need in order to make
my canvas strip. Hello. Once you've got all the
cantons crochet edit together, it's time to do the last one. You're going to be doing
the same as the first, but this time is going to be
inside the smallest hole. So this is the last one. I do two single crochets. And now I'm going to do like
I did in the first one. All around the top
of the candle. Single crochets until
I finished covering all of it. Like this. I do as many single
crochet stitches as I need to cover the entire
top of the Canton. Once I've covered the
entire top of the Canvas, I start doing to single crochet stitches
within each Hall. On the other side. I do the first one
and the second one. Inside the other one. It starts looking like this. I'll be doing the same all the way down until I reach
the first cancer. Now I'm reaching of the strip. I'm gonna do my last two single crochet stitches like this. And now I'm going to
do, to slip nuts. I take the hook inside
the first stitch. Like this. I'm going
to pull the yarn. And instead of doing the
single crochet stitch, I'm going to do the slip now. I'm doing it once more. I put the hook
inside the stitch, pull the yarn and slipknot. You can always look
inside the guide for him. Now to finish off, I'm going to take the scissors. I'm going to cut my arm. And I'm going to
do a secure now. I'm going to put it
inside the loop and pool. I make sure it's very tight. And then I'm going to
take the scissors, I'm going to cut this remaining
part and the back of it. I take the scissors, just simply cut it. And this is how you do
the cantaloupe strips.
4. Headbands - Project 1: Tutorial and Final Touches: In this lesson, I'll be teaching you how to make
this beautiful hip. Let's get started. We can add our own touch depending on the yarn
you choose to use. As you can see here, we have all types of colors. This in particular
are for babies. I like using thicker yarns to make sure it is
more comfortable. Since they don't have as much
hair as toddlers or adults. We can also add our
own touch by adding annexation history
such as this flower. I personally like
putting one on the side, but it's entirely up to you. Once I've determined
where I wanted, I take my super glue. I put a little bit on
the back of the flower. I place it where I
wanted and I let it dry. So as you can see, we have for babies, for toddlers and e.g. this one has 25 Kansas. The head band, which can
also be used as a necklace, has 35 can tabs for young girls, or It's time to review the
crochet from scratch video. We gather all the
materials we need in order to create the
base for our happens. It's time for the final touches. We have the base of the head
them which we just created. We have the elastic
band, scissors thread, and we take the two far ends
of the head band, meaning that two Last
can tabs and I place the elastic through the
whole of each side. You saw both ends together. And then you move it towards
one side. Just like this. Can leave it like
this if you wish. But if you want to take
it a step further, you can solve each side. Make a little stitch on each side so that
it doesn't move. We've finished putting
the stitches on both sides and they
have band is done. We can also add a thinner elastic bad
if we wish to do so. Now I'm gonna show you how easy it is to paint
the headband. We're going to use the gold. I have my newspaper,
I open it up. I simply place the finished
heads and the spread. I made sure to spray
every single can't. Do it from the
front. I let it dry. And then when once it's dry, I turned it over. And I do the same. I spray every single
cans up from the back. It says EC of that. And now I'm going
to have a very, very nice gold headband. Now for the final stage, Let's explore different
packages for our happens. I have this one which
is a bit thinner. Quotes, sustainable, Very nice. So I can use this
one or I can use a thicker box like this
one with a clear top.
5. Necklaces - Project 2: Tutorial and Final Touches : Now it's time to
get into necklaces. We have three different types
of necrosis that I'll be showing you in this
course how to make, starting with our
beautiful choker necklace. As you can see here, I used a thin black yarn so that it gives it up
very elegant look. This is the other type of Nicholas I'll be
showing you how to make it a bit bolder and it
makes more of a statement. Now it's time to head back
to the video from crochet, from scratch and make the
base for our necklaces. For the choker necklace, we'll be using 25 can tap. And for the bold one, we'll be using 50 Kansas. So get your materials ready, watch the crochet
from scratch video and I'll show you the final
touches once you're done. Now that you've done the
base of the Nicholas, it's time for the final touches. So I've got here the
base of the neck list, the round nodes flyer, the flat nose pliers, the silver rings, the
clasp and the chin. I start off by putting the
silver ring inside the base. I'm going to insert it
in the last concept. I'm going to put the clasp
inside the silver ring. And now I'm going
to close it up. Now it's time for the
second silver ring. I'm going to open it
up with my pliers. I'm going to put the chain because I like it
to be adjustable. It makes the length adjustable, but you can choose
not to put it, just put the silver
ring, close it up. Now I've got the chain on one side and the
clasp on the other. Now I simply close
it up and I'm done. Now for the bolt
statement necklace, I'm going to cross it over. I have my 50
concepts in a strip. I'm gonna use the same material
as I used for my strip. In this case, it was a
gold cord materials, so I'm going to use the hook to help me just put it
inside the yarn. And I'm simply going to do, and not just like
this with my hands, I'm gonna do a double knot. So you can see I simply put the cord inside one of the
stitches and I cut it. It's as simple as that. Now that I have to
shape the way I wanted, I'm gonna do the
same as I did with the choker necklace using the
silver rings and the chain. As you can see, this
is the final look. Now it's time to show you
the third style of necklace. This one is a bit different
because it's not the usual can tab strip that we'll
use for the other product. So this is how we start. Instead of pudding the
slip stitch all around the first concept to
cover the back of it. I just do the usual slip
stitch on the side. So I took now I get
the second one. I put it on top of the first. And I do this lipstick because
I'm using a thin yarn. I'm gonna do three slip
stitch on each hole. I just continue my way
with the slip stitch. This one you can do as
long, as short as you want. So for this one I used
50 can tap to make it as the picture that I
showed you previously. But you can make it
longer if you wish, or a bit shorter. You just have to make
sure that it goes through the head because it
doesn't have an opening. So I recommend you at
least use 50 Kansas. Once I have the amount of
candidates that I want, it's time to close it up. For the last one, I'm going to do the
same as the first. I'm going to put it
on top of the first. And I'm going to do three slip stitches in this case because
that's what I did. Each and one of them. So that's simply the way you close it. You do the same as you
did for all of them. So as you see, this one
doesn't have a closing. So it just continues
all the way around.
6. Final Thoughts : I want you to see this
course as an infinite loop. I want you to come to the start as many times as you need. I encourage you to imagine
a bright future ahead. The journey just began and
there's much more to discover. So thank you again
for letting me in because as I like seeing, we can go far along, but we can go much
further together. Sending you a big, big hug, a new telescope.
