Tree Texture Painting - Acrylic Medium

1. Intro: A tree says, My strength is trust. I know nothing about my father's. I know nothing about the 1000 generations that every year spring out of me. I live out the secret of my seed to the very end. And I guess when nothing else, I trust that God is in me. I trust that my laborers who are dof distrust. I live. Hello friends. My name is Maureen and I am an acrylic artist, or you all are doing good. So in this class is divided into different sections and we'll be learning materials we will be using for creating the texture. Then blending of colors. Creating texture, using knife detail of leaf painting, layering technique. And how to create nice fine branches. So let's start with it. 2. FastForward Video: That's impossible. 3. Materials Used: Hello friends. Welcome back. So let's discuss about the materials that this is the 450 GSM watercolor cool plus people, which I'll be using it in square in shape. And it's of size, I guess eight into eight. And apart from the heavyweight paypal. So apart from this, I will be using this crackling beads, which is from Golden brand. It's of eight towns for creating that texture. And then the two masking tapes of different sizes. One is 101 is little bit broader one. And then the palette knife and the container, the colors I haven't discussed, all the colors I'll be discussing in the different, different sections, what we'll call us. We'll be using. So acrylic colors I'll be using. And this is the ballot glass ballot which I'll be using then the tissue paper. You can also use Cloud if you have. So Penzu with a rubber at the tip. And these are the tools for the painting, which I'll be using this as the mob brush from Princeton. And these are the BR2 brushes, which is round and flat brushes, which I'll be using. And this is the liner brush, and this is another Bristol brush apart from that knife for creating that texture. And if you don't have night, you can also use that eating knife, which we have at home. If you don't have this knife. So let's start with it. 4. Blocking the Background: Hello friends. Welcome back. So let's start with a first part. So here I have taken to Daniel whitens radium blue. I'm just reading my brush. Brush and just taking equal amount of blue and white. So we'll start from the top, which is lead to Docker. And then we'll move down with a lighter version of column. So first I'll be covering the background. So I'm just blending the colors and I'm using little more amount of water. Because when you are using any paper, the colors dries very fast. So you have to be very quick. If you don't have cerium blue, you can use any other color also. It depends upon you that many colors like cobalt, ultimately in whatever color you have, you can use that. And you can also use poster colors or oil colors or gosh medium, any medium which you are having, you can use that. So as we go down, we'll add more amount of white. So we keep on blending until unless it looks even. So I'm just trying to make the colors even in look. Even if the blending is not proper, it's completely fine because we have to draw here the tree line so that background will be almost covered. Only the two parts will be left. So just use the blending. And at the bottom I'm just using white and blending the color. So whenever you are painting the background bug makes sure that you use larger size brush and it should be flat and it should have more Christos then only you will be able to blend those colors. So here you can see I'm using the Princeton more brush. It has taken size and does flat also. So we can easily blend the colors than it does when it comes to the background. But so does background is almost complete, will now start with the foreground. So for the foreground, you can either use the scale or the masking tape to create a straight line. And here you can see I've used two colors, lemongrass and lemon green and permanent green color. So these are the two colors which I am using. So first dial applied lemon green color, that is the lighter version, and then I'll apply the darker color. And after both the gallows, I'll start blending the colors. So for us time applying lemon green and then permanent green at the bottom. So now for blending, what you need to do is you need to take the lighter color and then start blending the pot. So this is the technique how we blend the colors before it starts drying. So I have taken the lighter color and I'm just starting to blend the colors so that there is no line in between the two colors. So this is the way we blend two different colors. So apply the colours under an as you feel that the blending has been done properly so that there is no line in between the two colors. And so our background and foreground is ready. So let's start with the next spot. So Phil drawed three-year. So let's start. 5. Adding Texture: Hello friends, welcome back. So now we will draw a rough sketch of it. So first, let's remove this data, which we have put earlier. So see how nicely the straight line has come up. So now draw a rough sketch of the tree line. So I'm just drawing, I hope it is visible for you. So just a rough sketch of the tree trunk. So in this case I am not drawing the whole tree structure, all the branches and all. I'm just drawing those branches which are really tick and which I'll need to do it further. So just, I am just drawing the TIG branches, not all the branches. So just enjoy the process. The branches are almost done, which I have to draw. Now what we'll do is we'll take the crackling medium. So this is the golden crackling paste, which I apply on the branches and tree trunk, which I have drawn. So here I have used my small size knife, which is off size two whiting. So I'm just applying it. So I'm just applying with the trip off the brush. And I'm just filling those area which I have drawn. But NDM just filling those areas. I'm not creating any deck shows or designs, I'm just filling those area. So the reason behind I'm using this crackling pages because when it dries, it gives a nice graphical design to it. So here I'm just applying an unjust little tab. I'm just doing the dabbing and just creating small, small, cheap stored I feel don't have the naive. You can also use the ice cream pops steak that, that also you can create this texture or you have at home the knife that also you can use. So depends upon the Tech Show, what do you are doing. So you are, you can see I'm just applying on the areas which I have drawn and I'm trying to keep it intact. So whenever you weren't doing such detailing, artwork, something related to craft, take your own time and create it very patiently. Because if, if you are in a hurry, it will not come as you have torqued off. So it's better you take your own time, take breaks, and then start your painting or any craft work, whatever you are doing. So you can see that as I'm blind paste and animals for giving that little lines to it. So you can see that little texture I'm creating in that tree trunk and these stems. Since some of the branches are very things when I'm using one of my brush to create ten lines, funded because with the knife I was not able to create those ten lines. So I'm just trying to create with my brush. So if you are done with the filling of these stems and branches, you can fall forward my video and do the next pot. So I'm doing it slowly leads and so that it comes nicely. So this is my first class of 2021. So let's see how many class, the CEO. So this is my first class which I'm doing and 2021. So the branches are almost done. Only one more is left. So once I'm done with the filling, I'll give the texture to this with my knife. So you can see I'm just tapping the tip of the knife and just giving the texture to the area. So just stopping it. And that is what I see as less amount of base. So I'll apply a little bit more so that it gives a nice texture to it, like a 3d effect. To just enjoy the whole process. We are almost done with debt. And once we are done, just wash off your knife and Glassdoor grappling tape. Otherwise it will dry off. And then relieved us for almost one day and then we'll start next. 6. Painting Tree Trunk: Hello friends, welcome back. So now this has completely dry off. Now we'll start with the painting part, that flat brush. So these are the colors which we have taken that's raw, umber been CNN, yellow ochre. So let's start with a painting. So I have just read my brush and I'm using the darker color first, then delay, and then the lighter one. So first I'll blocked in the background with the Docker Gallo, That does rhomboid. So I'll just call it the whole area which I have used as a texture. Many are filling that those area. You can also give the shape to the tree. If it has not properly shaped, does not properly filled, you can easily gives the shape to that tree structure. You can see I've not used much of war dough. I'm just using that to draw Kahlo and I'm just applying onto it. You don't have to use much water to any acrylic medium. Because when you use enough afford dot and acrylic medium, that effect, that color does not exist so better not to use much of what didn't do it. So whenever we do layering of the colors, we always apply the darker version and the background than the lighter version and then the lighter version, then only that effect come in any trees, any structure or any object which you are painting. So this is called as a layering technique you can see. So you're just applying the darker color. And after that I'll apply bond Sienna and then yellow ochre. So now I'm just giving little shape. And now I'm using bonds Sienna and i'm just applying on the top without any water. I'm just applying that color on the top of that Rambo. If you don't have ROM or you can use bond number also. So you can see that this painting is not that difficult. Any signal who want or wish to learn painting in acrylics or an oil paint or poster colors, can definitely try this one. And there are many other classes or low soil as well. And my section, you can check their almost 12 classes, which I have posted last year. You can check that as well. So when you're using these gallows, don't use watercolor brushes because those brushes are rarely solved. Always use synthetic brush or Bristol brush. Those are really good brushes for acrylic medium. So now you can see I am applying yellow ocher on just did textures and so that detections can be easily visible. So you can see how different color texture is popping up when you're using three different colors in layers. So this is almost done. So just trying to fill all the branches which are leftover blank. So I'm just trying to get complete the whole shape to it. So you can see I'm using flat brush born. You can also use round brush for doing this. That will also create same effect. Depending upon what brushes you have, you can use it. After finishing this, we'll start with the lead spot in the next class. That is the next section. So this is done. 7. Painting Leaves: Hello friends, welcome back. So now let's start with the leaves spot. So this is the breast toothbrush which I'm using urine, These are the colors, black, rhombus, white, lemon, yellow, red, and orange. So these colors will be using for the leaf bud. So I'm just reading the brush and removing excess of water with my ggplot. So now what I'll do is and mix both rumble and black. And that the tip of the brush, not x's of colors should be dead. But the tip of the brush and I will slightly create small, small textures that is small, small dots on the surface. So I'm just creating the shape of the tree, which it will look like. So this also comes with layering. So here also I will be using the two Layering For us, the darker color than an undergo follow. So this or who would leave part will be in form of layering. So here you can see I'm just creating the shapes where i'll put the leaves, val, create the leaves. So just giving the shape to the tree. But these scholars do not press the brush to hard. Press. If you'll press the brush too hard, that textual will not come up. So you have to pass a brush very lightly and don't use too much of color onto your brush, otherwise that texture will not come up. So you have to use the brush very lightly and very little amount of color to the brushes, then only that small, small textures will appear. So once I've created the base, now I'll use red color and I'll create steam technique, same texture on the top of the black, one. Same technique. I'm using that very less pressure. I'm creating those textures. Just applying very little law for color. And you don't have to mix any amount of water, do it. It should be take color, then only that texture will come off. No water at all. And you have seen that initially I have just washed off my brush and I'm just removed excess of water and then I've used the color directly. I haven't used any water in soil at the bottom also, there should be leaves which are dropping. So I'm just creating same texture which I've created above. So you can see some good I've pressed hard, some better, best loads of depending upon the pressure that you are giving that that texture comes up. So so you can see the areas which I have left. I'm using just same color, red color, and I'm just blocking it on those areas which are left suggest very little amount of color and very light pressure do it. And same I'm doing at the ground level where the leaves have fallen. So just to give it a texture to look like that the leaves have fallen. Now, I'll used an underbrush and an address to the brush. That is the flat brush, which cleavage, cleavage will create another effect to the leaves. So, so this is the flat brush, brush. And again, I'm using the red color and I'm just creating the corners because the desk brush, you can easily create the corners of the leaves. You can see small, small dots which it does, which has been created to just giving a little bit dots, dots. So it creates very tiny little dots on the surface of the background. So you can see I've use lots of colors or has blogging on whatnot, doesn't matter, I'll use another color over it, so that will be overlapped. So this is the technique which we use when we are creating the tree or any, any, any trees we create was the texture, darker texture in the background. Then we start with the dollar and layering part of D leaves. So now I'll just take little orange and yellow and mix it to create an under orangey shade. And I am just see, I've taken a lot of amount of colors, so that effect will not come. So you have to take very less amount of color. So I'm just tapping the pressures very lightly. So you can see whenever you are using acrylic, you can always overdo thing that bothers non looking lies. You can overdo by using another color. So it happens that sometimes we do create mistakes, but an acrylic, you can overdo that by using, by applying another layer of paint to it. So this is one of the great advantage of using acrylics. So now I'll use the same round brush and I'll create detection. Just did tip off the brush you have to use and very little amount of color. So you can see now that effect of the different colors of the leaves, it is coming up. If you don't have to drag, you again, use the form also, which comes hard form and you can create these textures. But I think gusto brushes are more effective for it because it creates a nice texture, especially the round and flat brushes. These are really hard brushes and it creates a nice texture to your brand groan when you are using it. So yeah, you can see I'm just doing the laddering technique and overlapping on red and yellow. So it's because the leads are of different colors and to know all the leaves are not same, so you have to use different colors. Some upgrades, some are bright yellow. I'm just using simply yellow also. So just the textures that matters, which colors you are using. But shades you are using. How many textures and how many leading you have done on that. That creates an effect. So same thing I'm doing and the ground part so that it looks that the leaves have fallen on the ground. So you can see I'm just creating small, small effects of the fallen leaves and now I'm using little white to create another color texture to it. That the lighter version of it, so that it creates a nice bright look to the leaves. Just layering on top of the colors to create a nice effect. I'm not filling everything, I'm just choosing some areas where it does require it and I'm just applying one Stewart. You can see how bright colors are coming up. You just have to keep in mind one thing that you don't have to press the brush harder, it has to be very light and colors had to be very take and less in amount on your brush, then only that effect. Welcome. 8. Creating Branches: So now let's start creating the branches here I'm using the liner brush. And you can see em may have made that black color very fluid so that you can easily create those lines. So now I'll just use my liner brush and we'd be creating small branches and between those leaves. You can also use round brush of small size that is also very helpful for creating these small, fine line branches. So let's start. So you can see that at the base when I'm starting the branches, I am pressing it hard so that the lines outtake. And then I'm slightly moving the tip off the brush very lightly so that the end area is very thin. So likewise, I will be creating branches. So whenever you are creating any branches or any fine lines, make sure that your paint is thinned out and it isn't fluid form, then only you will be able to create those straight lines. And nice finished to that area. So I'm just creating random lines and random branches and just the process. Yeah. So now I'll just create grasses at the base of that tree. Sum, just using my brush very lightly and just pushing my brush upwards to create that grassy effect. You can also create graphs with that fan brush. But with these liner brush, you can create nice fine lines and grasses. You just have to pull it up. Words in a very light manner should not be in a very hot hand. It should be very light. Then only you will create that texture of that gas. So now this is done. So now what I'll do, I'll create texture on that branches. I have used both the white and yellow color. And with my finger I'm just creating just dabbing on that area and just you can see that area, textured areas getting highlighted. What does just your finger and you just have to put it on this office. So you can see how nicely that texture is coming up. 9. Final Detailing: Hello friends, welcome back. So let's begin with the last part of painting. And I've taken permanent green color, which I've used for grass earlier. The same color I'll be using for the leaves. Because there's some leaves which are green also saw here. I'm using my same Bristol brush that is flat mr. brush, and I'm adding little yellow to it. And just using the tip of the brush, I'm creating those small, small dots. I'm not covering each and every area. I am just highlighting on some of the areas, especially at the corners of the leaves. Just highlighting just a little bit, not everywhere. So whenever you are creating any tree texture details, only you have to use the tip off your brush to create all the as small dots. So again, I'm using this same technique on the ground part. So now I'll use my liner brush, which I used earlier for creating those stems. And little bit red and black mix shied on one completely back. So I'm just adding black and little bit of red to it to create a nice, not completely blackened does it does like a popular shade? And I'm just creating small, small dot at the edges in the leaf shape. Just add the edges. I am creating small, small random dots. It will look like as of beliefs. So just random dots on the external part. Similarly with green doing same technique. Now I'll use my round Mr. brush and mid same color. Just use my depth and create smallest morn dawns. Menu US defend to idea of Prussia hazard, give different textures. Do your painting. It looked like a realistic ones. So it benefit. So you can see that here I have used flat brush, round brush, and these are the mixture. This tree is a mixture of all the three brushes. And all the three brushes give different, different textures. And this is just the basic level of painting that Joe, that you've begun again, start off, whenever any bigness dot offered the bending of trees, they start with this technique and then they go a bit more details and more details with this is just a now level. Intermediate level can also drive the 1D, but this is completely beginner level class. So a painting is almost done. I'm just highlighting some of the details here and there where I feel like okay, there should be some more green and some more red. So I'm just giving a taut and then just randomly doing some areas bed their colors are missing. So it's almost done. So this is almost complete. And now we will just take old masking tape. But before Dad, I think something else is missing saw. I'll just take my black color with my brush and juvenile justice give the shape to that tree structure. Just giving that shape to that tree structure. And that will bit more branches here and there. But I can see there are spaces in between those branches where I can put small, small branches also. So I'm just creating very ten branches. So now finally it's done. So let's take out the masking tape and see how it looks. As is uptake paper. Be very careful when you are taking out that masking tape. It might happen that people can come out. So it's a very tricky thing. So very slowly, you need to take out the masking tape. So this is now ready. So this is how it looks.
