About This Class

Fingerstyle and chord melody guitar is indeed one of the most creative ways of playing guitar.

In this course, you will find lessons about • Harmony and Theory. • The right-hand position. • Fingerpicking melody. • Chords and fingerstyle. • Combine chords and melody. • Fly me to the moon fingerstyle and chord melody • Fly me to the moon-altered arrangement.

Once you become familiar with this technique, you should be able to play chords, melodies, percussive guitars, and unique rhythmic patterns. The main difference between strumming and fingerstyle is that strumming is a very simple guitar technique in which we strum (brush) the strings with the finger or guitar pick up or down.

This technique is perfect for beginners who want to play simple chords and songs. With fingerstyle guitar, you will pluck the strings with the right-hand fingertips so the beginning could be more challenging than strumming as we have to decide which string to pluck. Let’s get started with the first lesson. Let me show you what fingerstyle guitar is and everything you will need to learn before playing fingerstyle and chord melody.

1. Welcome lesson : Hello folks, my name is gear Felix and welcome to my new course about core mentally and fingers typing. To learn this technique, you need to develop trace kills. First one is learn about core triads, major or minor or alter a bass chords, seventh chords in several type of different chords that we're going to use in applying this technique, because I can see is basically Armani. Yes, they're going to teach you oldest step-by-step to learn based ROM gales, musical intervals and several other nice several jackets. And finally the third step, he is, the approach should play fingers, Diane chord melody, this special technique as a few special points that we need to learn about e.g. units technique. You need to play the chord in the melody. So self play separately. We're going to play everything together like this. Very nice, isn't it? So I'm going to just approach with flying to the moon by Frank Sinatra. And you're going to take this knowledge, this step-by-step in a blind to other songs sale of course, create your own arrangements, but don't forget, do not skip lessons, okay, it's important to watch the Armani board, chord part, musical intervals, everything step-by-step. If you've skipped one lesson, probably you're going to miss one or two important details that it's going to make a difference in the end of this course. Alright, so thanks so much and see you in lesson number one. Bye bye. 2. Why are there both sharps and flats: So now it's time to understand the difference between sharps and flats. Okay? Sometimes we write a music chord and a note if a flattened, sometimes we write with a sharp, but how can we understand when we are going to use a flat or a sharp? The first thing here is think about your scale, e.g. we show our play your music, your tongue, right? Using G major scale, we don't have, we have all the different notes. But Gabriel, What do you mean with different nodes? I don't want to stand. Check this out. If I write down, I see a G-minor KU and I need to fall on the dead. The formula, the formula is first one. The second one is a whole step, okay? The first one should, the second one is the number of tree is a half-step, so it's gonna be at a sharp. Okay? The next one is going to be a whole step. We are going to have a C major chord. The next one, D, a whole step again. The next one, whole step, half step, half step. So D sharp. And the last one is a whole step, F. Okay? As you can see, I have my notes repeated two times right here. According to the rules in harmony and Fury, we cannot have the same note right here. Okay? So the idea here is like change this last node to some Note that a is the same thing. However, we flat according to our 12 nodes. The node is right here. And if you want to A-sharp, you're going to a sharp. However, if you want a flat, going to come back to the last note, so G sharp, okay? In this case, I want to a sharp right here. So it's gonna be what? B flat is gonna be the same thing. Okay, So B flat, okay, so now my, my scale is G, a, B, and C. I don't repeat nodes. However, we have another problem is about D, D sharp. If you are in D, Let me see. Oh, sorry, I forgot to put one right here. Okay. Too orangey. If you want a sharp, they're going to D-sharp. However, if you want a flat, you aren't going to C sharp or D flat. That is the same thing. However, we need a D-sharp in. So let's see here, Any E, if we add a sharp right here, you're going to F. But if you add a flat here, we're going to come back to the D sharp. So this is an idea. I'm going to erase this and write down E flat. So I don't have repeated note. So G, a, B, C, D, E, and F. This is the idea. If you see a music in the key of G minor with a sharp or D sharp, It's completely wrong. Okay, be careful. Let's choose another example in this case in the major key example. So if you write down F major scale, we are going to use the same formula we learned before. So f, one whole step, G, One more whole step, a half step, a sharp, a whole step. And again, there's going to be c holds that, but again, D and warmer hollow step. Okay, we have another problem right here. Let me see. Here is okay, but we have the same nodes. Again, the same. Again. We need to find another nodes that, that sounds like a sharp and put here with a flat. Okay? So let's think. If I had a sharp and B, I'm going to play C. However, if I'm being again and I had a flat, so it's going to sound like a sharp. Okay, so I'm going to erase here B flat. If you see a music, you're playing music in the domains F major. Somebody tells you that is a sharp cord is wrong, completely wrong. I'm exercise for you guys is take a piece of paper and start to write every single scale, major and minor. And if you see any kind of situation like this, you need to erase the last node. In this case this warm and tried to find a flattened nodes. That is sounds the same. 3. Triads how important are they: The most common chords are triad, which are built by adding the third and fifth node. Seeing this gave a bovis tiring nodes are roots, e.g. in C major triad built on C contents, the road note. The third note above C, often called just the third. The fifth node above C, often colleges the fifth. Try to remember this concept. I think this is the most important information discourse. Why? With this knowledge, you will learn how should we provide a few chord progressions, guitar solos and an sever? Techniques about arrangements are looking for ways to make musical life easier. Triads is dancer. 4. Major and minor scales: Learning major in the minors caves. You need to follow a few steps. Step number one, right, number one to 7134567. Second part is the formula so that that whole stack in one more Homestead Act. Now you have formula of mayors KO. So I start with one. Let's see if I want to do a C major scale. I'm going to start with C in node number one, but gave her, I wanna do an F major scale, okay, so you start number one. All Gabriel wanna do like a D major scale. So start with these simple like that. Let's start with d. Z is a good note. This is the number one. Now we need to discover their other nodes, right? You are indeed right now. We need to check one whole step. So don't play D sharp goes to E. Next one is a whole step as well. So downplay F and play F sharp. Alright, next one is a half-step. Here we are in a chart, so next step is much more easy. G, Okay? Now we have one more whole step. So g goes to a Walmart. The last one is C-sharp. This is D major scale. Okay? When you think about measures, KU, the first thing you need to do is food, the seven numbers and fall. Always write down, write down this. You need to follow deformer. Okay, It's really simple. Just do these two steps. If I want my nerves KO, I need to change my formula, right? So it's going to be like this. Alright, whole step, half step, whole step, whole step or again, half-step and holds that. Okay, so let's try to do D minor scale. Another one, Let's see. Let's go with E minor scale. First. One is z, alright? And I have a whole steps, so F-sharp. Now we have a, a whole step and a half-step right now, right? So F-sharp goes to G. One law holds that Ji Chu a whole step again, HUB. Be. Now it's a half-step, so we are in B has step, you just played the next node C. And the last one is, oh, respect to d. Now you have a minor scale, E minor scale. 5. Music intervals: Musicking tariff rules are very important for music. Even more important is understanding and being able to apply because I need to explain this table to you. Note that we have several numbers. These numbers are the formulas. Let's take an example. Major second, it's from number one to number two. Use your turn from number one to number three. Devo of four for number one. Number four. And so one varies right? Now, the minor intervals with this, you will fly in the flats, minor second, 1-2. But following the formula, let's set a flat, though. We have from one should a second flat. Let's check another example. Monitored. Ron, one to number three flat, diminished fifth, front, number one, Chu flat five, and so on. Always following this logic. 6. Music intervals tricks on the fretboard: You already learned how to play music intervals and your guitar, right? So the idea here is to give a few shortcuts to memorize dispositions. So the first shortcut is you can find a fifth interval. Your core, you're ready to learn. Power courthouse. All right, so probably fairly common chord in rock and you can play like one in five. So this interval right here, disposition is my, my fifth interval. So it's going to play nice. And 1.5 complete using the average singletons, e.g. B, D, F sharp, 1.5, 1.5, and so on. You can do the same thing. You are strings also. So 135. And you can keep doing this and every single street, okay? The second shortcut is to eat interval. So on. The same note, however, is a little bit higher, right? The sound sounds really high. So the same position. You also can play with finger number three. Okay? However, you need to remember to downplay this string in the middle. Alright? So it's trigonal, fine. And if you play everything in string number six, like six m, del place for me number five, and it goes to four. Okay. So the interval, my shortcut for you and make sure dirt is a very important interval. E.g. one, an industry number to six fret five. Major third is a string and number five brand for major third. Vector. And same thing, waning. Year isn't being. He is indeed. I don t need to think, oh man, I need to learn all the notes on the fretboard. You just need to remember this kind of shortcut, okay? If you remember these, you can play every single interval like this. So one entry, major third, minor third, one in almost the same thing you want to make here is that has, that has that before this can change your finger. It's going to be easy, right? So it's finger number 31. Can it is in adverts single key. Again. You can also go to our other streaks. So string number 51, flattery. Okay, So remember this is tougher, is very important. One major dirt on my dirt. Again, one major third interval. Born in mine, a mine, right? That's why when you play a C major chord, you have this major interval right here. Alright? So that was for you already learned and it's easier to understand. She used as example. A minor second interval. Minor second tariff is really easy. It's a half-step. I had your notes, so E-flat, more D-sharp, e.g. and so on. Can use this every single key as well and add the single string to array. It's going to be much more easy. However major seconds, it's going to be one step ahead. So F-sharp. Let's change our string. So you don't play this fact right here and play the next one is a whole step ahead. Mls shortcut for you guys is the fourth interval. So it's the same frack, however, in different strings. So Fred number five, string number six, fret number five, number five. So one can do this same thing you are the strings too. So being n, 1.4, same thing here, G and C. All right, so what intervals are very important? We've done, you can play chords very quickly and improve your improvisation. So you need to practice this, okay? So choose a few intervals and tried to find on your fret board, I have all the notes on the fretboard in the complimentary material of discourse. So check the first-class and download this image. 7. Major and minor chords: First of all, I'm going to teach you how to understand all of this corn parts. In theory, an x-bar is going to be practicing, okay? So first of all, we have E major scale, F-sharp, G-sharp, sorry, E, F sharp, G sharp, a, B, C-sharp, D-sharp. However, if I want to do an E major chord, I'm going to take notes number 13.5, just 13.5, 1.5. And now you have the three nodes of E major chord. Next example. Let's think about all the scale. Let me see a major. So imager a, B, C-sharp, D, E, F-sharp, G-sharp. The same thing. Take notes number 13.5 and you gonna have your Major chord symbol like that. Let's do some Smiley face. Simple like that. Okay, my, how to do, how to do a minor, a minor chord. It's the same thing. Latin C, a minor, E minor scale. I'm going to have a minor chord, 13.5. However, now you're going to have a C and E, okay? Just measure. Gonna be a major, C-sharp, E and minor C. Alright? Do you feel like that? 8. 7th chords theory: The most common station of the bass kick, three nodes trial. A seven chord is built by adding an extra node to a trie. Each is an interval of seventh above the root node. If you build a triad on c, you will use Node C, E energy. If you add a ladder, wrote a seventh above C, then you have c, E, G, B. You have just created basic seventh chord. This one is C major seventh chord. There are five types of seventh chord. The first one is a major seventh chord. The second one Major chord with minor seven. So major chord, C, E, G minor seven. You need to use mine or scale, so B-flat. The next one is a minor chord with a minor seventh. So it's 135 and a minor seven of my minor scale. So C, E flat, G, B flat. The next one is a half-diminished chord. It's a minor seventh chord, so C E-flat than g, n, Of course, a B-flat, but I have a flat five, so five, G, So put a flat and G, So G flat. And the last one, you can write like this is better. He's a diminish, a fully diminished chord. So it's the same thing as the, the record. So E, C, E-flat, G-flat, B flat, but you need to put another flat in B, so Shu flats, okay? It's not so common to find discard emails are just a few examples of jazz and bossa nova. 10. Suspended chords: Says means suspended, watch, we are suspending. Here is the third of the chord. So assist you wore a sus4 chord is essentially accord with something else. Turn off the third, which leads to it being less stable or not defined as major or minor, does something else can be the second or the fourth. Check a few chord shapes. 11. 9th chords: Nice car. First thing you should do it, write down a major scale, tries. He was example a meter scale. As you know, to play a major chord, you need to play 13.5. So leisure 41359 squared is 1357. And number nine, denial of cork. He's frequently using styles, leg, funk, jazz and blues. 12. 11th chords: Hello, I'm of course, same thing as ninth chords. First thing you should do, write down a major scale, tries. Example. A major scale. As you know, to play a major core, you need 13.5. Now that of course is 1,357.11. 13. 13th chords: 13 is the same thing as 9.11 scored. As you know, to play and meet her car, you need 105. 13 squared is 1357. And number 13. 14. What is a diminished and half diminished: The difference between a diminished chord that is the same as a full and the mean score in a half-diminished chord lies in the seventh. Note. Both our base it on a diminished triad. One flat, three, flat five intervals. The half-diminished chord has a minor seventh. Eat some minor seven chord with a flat five. The diminished chord hasn't diminished seventh. The minor seventh is again decrease it by a semitone, and hence is equivalent to 60. All of the theoretical approaches different. Now it's time to learn a few guitar shapes. 15. Dominant chords: Dominant chord is a chord that you're going to use when you want to prepare to some other core, I have my target is a major seven chord. And now I'm going to use a dominant chord, preparing to finish in this card. Okay, So what do you need to do? Just count 55 nodes, e.g. E, F, G, a, and B. Is it? So B7 chord, it's a dominant chord. In measure seven. Always gonna be a major chord with minor seven. Let's do another example. Now my dominant chord is let me see blue. My targets. These are scale is a major way, so it's a major, major, major seven chord. Okay? So let's count it into five, a, B, C, D, E. All right, So you haven't dominant chord to eight, you can have just a major chord or a minor chord. It's not a problem, okay? But you need to keep Major chord, a minor seven. 16. How to memorize more than 23 major and minor chords E shape: Now it's time to play every single major and a minor chords. In string number six, we're going to apply E major, guitar shaped. So we already learned how to play a major. You have two options you can play with these fingers. Are these other fingers? In these examples, I prefer, if you play with these fingers, will be easier to understand. String number six, open string. Finger number three, fret two, string five. Stringing number four for at you. For the last one, finger number to string a number of tree, fret, one. You can play everything from this B string, the second string, and E string. The first string will be opening as well. Did you hear is to thinking E major every single time? So if I play E major right here and I want to go a half step ahead, I'm going to have F major chord. However, we have a little problem right here. My open streets. Okay? That's why I go to put my finger number one. The next fret. We can hold average single string will be a barrel core is the same thing if I shrink like this. Ghost fret right here. Alright. One half step ahead. F-sharp, one step ahead. Zhi, and you can keep doing this. So let's practice. E.g. if I want to play at a major chord, stop the video right now and try to find a major chord. Applying this E major technique, you should play exactly the right notes. You're going to find right here in the middle of your guitar. So let's count E major. One half step ahead. F major, F-sharp major, major, G-sharp major major. Another example, tract fine, be major chord. So you're going to find B major chord right here. Fret number seven. So E major, F-sharp major, G major, G-sharp major, a major sharp major. B major can do this step-by-step in every single key. Last example, let's try to find a C-sharp major chord. You can play exactly right here. Threaten number nine. So let's count E major chord, F sharp, G sharp, a sharp, C sharp. Now it's time to find a minor chord. So it's exactly the same idea. However, we found minor chord. You already know how to play E minor. However, I usually like to give you a little shortcut. Try to play with these two fingers right here. We're going to be easy to understand. So everything will be open strings, right? However, finger number three, you need to play frack number to string five and finger number four, fret to string a number four. So you can imagine a kind of goes flat right here. I have step ahead. We're going to have F minor. However, we have a little issue about open strings, so, so the score would be F minor. Step ahead, F-sharp minor. And you can keep doing this. All right? To blame all the strings. Alright, so difficult court for beginners. So let's try a few examples and see if you want to send them really well. E minor chord, where can I play a minor chord? You should play exactly the right nodes who are going to plate right here. Fret number five. So the minor, F minor, F-sharp minor, G minor, sharp minor, E minor chord. Where can I play B minor chord? To play exactly the right notes are going to play right here. In fret number seven. So minor, F minor, F-sharp minor, G minor, F sharp minor, E minor, F sharp minor, B minor. The last example, let's try to find D sharp minor presentation will be a little bit difficult, but the idea is the same. Exactly the right notes you're going to find right here. In front number 11 in the end of your fretboard. So let's count E minor, F minor, F-sharp minor, G minor sharp minor, E minor, F sharp minor, B minor, C minor, C-sharp minor, D minor, and finally, D-sharp minor. Stretch applied this technique in practice a lot, one or two weeks, you're probably playing African type of major and minor chords. 17. How to memorize more than 23 major and minor chords very quickly (A shape): Now it's time to find several chords applying a guitar shaped. What do you mean If that if you play a major chord, you can read Preach the same guitar shape. Step-by-step fretboard. So a major chord. I'm going to play string a number of files. Open strain, finger number one, threat to drink for seemed to number two, fret two, string, tree, and finger number three for at shoestring YouTube. If it play one-half step ahead, I'm going to play a sharp major. However, have a little problem. My open string. So I need to change this guitar shape. You can play like this. Same guitar shape wherever we fingered 23.4, okay? With my finger number one, my suppose open string, okay? Now I have a sharp major. Applying the same guitar shaped as a major. You can play a major like this as well. However, they're going to have an open string, you can imagine, goes for at right here. Alright? So Amy, sure. A sharp major. One-half step ahead. Same thing. Be major, and you can keep doing this. Alright, so let's practice. You already learned a dark shade. Try to find D major, D major Reno here. However, applying the idea of this egg shape, This video, and try to find, if you play exactly the right notes, you're going to have HR, C, C-sharp, and finally, D major. It's very important to practice with me. So let's try another example. Find a C-sharp major chord. Same idea here. Alright, so we need to count is a string, number, five is a string count until you find C-sharp. Pause this video, and try to do this example. If you play correctly, the C-sharp major will be infrared number, or a. A sharp, B, C, C-sharp major. You can play like this, or you can change your three fingers and play like this. Same thing. Example. Tried to find an F sharp major. You should play the exactly the right notes. You're going to find right here. The end of my friend born and bred number nine. Let's count. A sharp. Sharp, D sharp, F sharp major. I play, my cord begins. Infrared number nine. Number one will be the most important thing. Alright. So let's do the same thing. However, minor chords, you already know how to play a minor chord, right? So the idea here is to use the same step-by-step. However, we've had minor chord, a minor. And imagine goes fret right here, the end of my fret board, right? So I'm going to apply this guitar shape to the other examples. If a minor is here, a sharp minor is right here. B minor, F step ahead, C minor, step ahead. C-sharp Minor. Can keep doing it. So let's play the same extra side. Stop this video right now and try to find E minor chord playing this guitar shape. If you play exactly the right notes, you are going to play right here. Number seven, E minor chord. So let's count B minor, a sharp minor, B minor, C minor, sharp minor, D minor, D minor. Let's find C minor chord. Stop this video and try to fight it. You should play exactly the rhinos you're going to play right here. Fred, number three. A minor, a sharp minor, B minor, C minor. It's very important to practice type of exercise, probably one or two weeks. They're going to be able to play every kind of major and minor chord from deep pulled fret board. Next example, D-sharp minor. Stop this video and play. Right now. You should play exactly the right notes you're going to find right here. D-sharp minor. Track number six. So a minor, a minor, B minor, C minor, C-sharp minor, D minor, D sharp minor. 18. The most important chord progression (2 5 1): So now it's time to give you a few examples of 2p5. One first example, flying to the moon at grades 5.1 is 251 of your key. This example we can find a 251 of C major, C major chord, Chu, D minor, and G major chord. So 251. In this example, he play with seventh chord. So D minor seven, G chord, G7, and C major seventh floor. Another example is exactly like you, you probably are I listened, this song is a very famous standard. In this example, you can find here 251. This music. The key is C major. So chew, D minor seven, G, seven, N1, c. Okay? So it's like this. Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad. But Gabriel don't want to. Jazz standards anymore. Gives me another example of 2p5 one or k you can find in ordinary men by Ozzy Osbourne, it's a very nice song you can find in the beginning of the song. So no more lonely night, it's all. Are you? This music is in E major, is going to play. The harmony in the end of the song is to five. It's F-sharp minor and B major, and come back to E major. So that's bite. You get your majors last D-sharp. See mine are sharp. C sharp minor. B major. A major major again, n phi. So F-sharp minor. And you count by 25. Every single style works really well. It's kind of a shortcut. If you don't know how to play. It's a very nice shortcut. If you are a songwriter, knee and don't know what to play, what chord to play. 19. Walking bass : Now it's time to teach a very nice and his core progression in jazz music, just to Brex, I'll let a be the right. So check this out. Very nice, isn't it? It's very easy. You want to play the major seventh rise right here, right? It's the major seven here. My number chew or rag. So this corn is Brad number five on a string. Number five, sharpe, index finger, ring finger, Fred, number seven on a string. Before we show our middle finger, frat number six on a string number tree and your pinky finger, number seven is triggered or chew. So I'm going to explain the written part after splenic cords. Okay, so that's the first chord. The second one is E-flat diminished chord. So it's the same theme played before. Just want single detail. We are going to change this two fingers right here. So edX finger's going to stringy number tree, okay, for at number five. And your middle finger, Fred, number six on a string, number five. Okay, simple. The core number tree is a major core refer me receptors. So G major seventh, alright? And I'm going to play finger number one, breath number tree on a string, number six, and a finger number tree. And for your ring finger, in it being finger on a string, a number for entry into Fred number four. So your middle finger, breath number tree on a string number two. Okay, got solid. And the last two chords is a dirty 70, A7, dirty N7 Lander. Okay, so he's finger number one, threat number five on a string number six, single number, chew your middle finger. Breadth number five on it's trigonal before your ring finger, fret number six on a string, number tree. And your pinky finger breath number seven is tree number two. This is a 730 to play seven flat 13 is just change your pinky finger. Okay, So instead of fret number seven, number six, simple like that. So let's remember the courts. D major seventh, flat, diminished chord. G major seven. A seven dirty. A7, flat dirt. Simple like that. The written part is very important. Before we begin the written part, I need to give you a very nice shortcut. Usually ingest you have your bass notes, so you play with your thumb, finger and your core board that you play with this three or four fingers. Okay? Today's example gonna use just three fingers. Base, core. The core, base, core for core. Okay? So one more time. When I say core, core in the last bar, chords and chord or K. So I blame all denotes, to get an artist drinks, should gather, Miranda. So let's play very slowly. Chord, four chord, chord. And our time, little bit fast. Score, base car B's Scored card and core. One more time. Okay? When you learn how to play this type of thing, VR slowly, you can gain more speed, so okay. As you can see, this groove is very nice and very chairs as well. Alright, So Brexit is carefully because jazz is not an easy style for beginners. Very difficult style for beginners. Jazz was another classical music. It's typeof styles are very difficult. If you just bought a lottery arccos guitar a few weeks ago, alright, so you need to practice. 20. Bass moving: Now it's time to teach a very nice chord progression in a jazz style, of course. However it does except we're going to use B minor, okay, so as you can see, sounds very nice. You have a walking bass, seventh chords, and very, very nice jazz approaching, right? So let's take a closer look. The first chord is B minor seventh chord. So the number one fret number, chew on a string. Number five, your ring finger fret number four on a string and a for of course, it's a pre-recorded. So number one, frack number, chew on a string, number three as well. And we feel our middle finger breath number three on a string. Number two. Alright, so I going to teach you to the courts and FAT child records are going to explain the radio. This morning. You're going to play C sharp node j has a very nice approach to my D major seventh chord. Alright, so, so Dimitris have, of course, you're not going to play with your finger number one, read number five on a string or five. Your ring finger for number seven on a string, number for middle finger, Fred, number six on a string, and number three in your pinky finger. Breath number seven and a string number two. After this core, and you're going to play E, E-flat diminished chord. So just changed, use two fingers right here. I'm going to marijuana is going to fret number five on a string number tree. And your middle finger, Fred, number six on a string or five. It's going to sound like this. Okay, so let's play this, the beginning fairly slowly. Next bar is bleachers, a node on a string number five. Sorry, play a note in the frack number five on a string, number six, and G major 74. Alright, G-score, uh, here are going to play with your finger number one for number three on a string, number six, ring finger, fret number four on a string number four, think finger Fred, number four on a string number of tree. And your middle finger, Fred, number three on a string number two, right? So let's play one more time. Cease to be 34. After she made herself. You play G-sharp, G as the base array, and play a minor seven in this chord right here we are going, you're not going to use the Common Core shaped discourse. They're going to play just a number chew or at number five on a string number six. And your ring finger fret number five on a string, number two, okay. It's up to you, but if you want, you can play open string number tree as well. Okay. Sounds good. So let's play everything very slowly. 34 sounds very chassis, right? So let's talk about reader. You have base, corn. This approach is very common shares. We're going to play the bass Wishart dump finger. Okay. So thumb finger in court, We fingered number 12 entry one more time. Okay. Once again, as you can see, I play atrophy with Tom Angkor Thom in court. So bays in my tree fingers. Okay. But it's important to keep this approach it through the records as well. So let's play on my time. Base corn. The corn. Maize corn, they score base, base, base, base, base, corn. The score. Okay. As you can see, edge played a walking bass. I play bass and base tries. As you can see, my thumb finger is going to play two y's when I have the walking bass, right? This type of jazz progressions not easy, especially if you are a beginner, so it's important to practice. Let's play on more time. 34. 21. How to improvise guitar licks like a boss: No, I have a personal advice for you to create your own guitar licks. Does this approach with several students and works very well. It's very easy to understand and to memorize the most important nodes. The idea here is to take a key, e.g. a. Minor. I choose this key because a minor is in the middle of your fret board. And it is a very simple scale because we don't have sharps, not even flats. Alright? The first thing is find a minor on your fretboard. So we're gonna be breaking the pattern tile. We are going to place a minor pattern pentatonic. Alright, so it's important to memorize this batter. The three most important nodes. We aren't going to improvise something or create a lake is the node of your trade. So let's think about a minor triad, 13.5 of Yara scale. Alright, so the approach here is the first node and the last node of our guitar lick will be one of those tree nodes, e.g. let's begin. Hey, that's number one. We need to find a in this bar of the fretboard. So in here, memorize this will be very important. My first node will be the last node of Mike Trout Lake VBA as well. The notes in the middle. It's not super important right now, are being partly in the future, but it's not so important right now, okay, you are a beginner, so let's think simple. However, I just have one simple room. Denotes in the middle, needs to be. Okay. You cannot play unknown outside your pattern, e.g. D-sharp. It's not gonna work. C-sharp is not gonna work because it's not in my patcher. Alright, so the first node is a gonna begin my leg right here. Choose to say, I could choose this one or another one, but I want to choose this one. And the nodes in the middle should be in my, in my guitar. The pattern in the last note would be, I'm going to play this one right here. So that's right. I have one guitar like right here. Let's create another one. I have another one. Let's create a third guitar lick. So they're going to change my end. No, I'm not going to play this a gonna play this one. I'm going to begin the lake right here and finish right here. So let's try. Sounds very nice. Another device for you guys. He's trying to sing something, just seeing something before you play. E.g. and I don't know, maybe he can find those nodes in your guitar pattern. Sounds very nice. So I improvise a little bit. But the most important thing is analyzed that my first note is a, in my last node is a as well. Okay? This is a very easy step-by-step to follow your why did I choose just one part of your fret board? It's simple just to help you to memorize nodes. Okay? So we're memorize tree nodes. And now we're going to do step number two. So the not the other node that is very important in a, in a triad, It is the number three of our triad. So in this example, C, we need to find c in this bar. So C is right here, here. And here. Usually you're going to find two or three times the note on your fret board. The idea here is the same. Begin my guitar lick we've seen in the last node can be c or a, right? In the middle. The unique role that we have is Palais the nodes of your pattern. Okay, so let's begin right here. And I'm going to my last note to be here. Okay? So sounds very nice. Another example, gonna begin here. And my last node will be right here, right? So C and C, if you're watching this video, is going to look very easy to play. But remember, takes a lot of practice to do this type of thing easily, right? So you should practice during two tree you in form of this type of exercise. Not just wonky, but several Water Keys. This is going to help you to develop your years, for sure. Memorize the notes on the fretboard and create your own guitar legs, so it takes time. The last step is think in our fifth of our a minor. That easy. But we have another keynote right here. You have E right here and here. So I'm going to begin my leaky me finish my leg is correct. So another example, beginning a and finishing. Not example, finish, began in and finishing. Remember you can do this kind of exercising, having a single key and we have several types of patterns. You can play. The same EDF right here with the second pattern. It can begin in a and finishing E are beginning a and finishing, see. Right. So it's up to you. You just need to focus in worn off those three nodes. Hey, every single part of your guitar neck. But my advice for you, for your true beginner is beginning just one single bar. Nephew, memorize this bar of your fret board. You can change. All right. Now it's time to practice. Practice, and practice. Let me know if you have any doubts. Thank you so much. 22. Simple triads for better solos: Our Pedro and triads are the same thing. From this tripling, any kind of RPG you need to know to try it. And try it is the same thing in scored. So think with me, if you want to try it. E.g. a major triad, that's the same thing as a medial cord. We need to play one tree in five of our scale. Today we are going to learn our patient on a string number for tree in one measure or pages, right? From these, the first shape is threat number eight on a string number for breadth number nine, you on a string number tree, eight on a string number two. Okay? So you have a major triad. This is C major triad, okay? Or see our patient. And if you want to play exactly the same or beige or however, one step ahead is just lay the same, get that pattern one step ahead. All right, so now you have a D major RPG. Alright? If you want to measure, if Pedro's the same thing, one hold step, right? So in C major, if you want a larger type of chords, you need to change. These are patient, but if you keep this shape, you have all the major triad herbaceous. Alright? So sure, E-flat, major, G-sharp, you're a flat meter and someone, right? Very nice exercise is play the chords of your scale, e.g. in C major scale, you have a chord, D minor chord, E minor chord, and so on. Right? Then, now we have a few shoe because we need to play major and minor chords, right? In the last core of our Orozco is a diminished chord. So we have three type of these herbaceous major, minor and diminished, right? We already learned how to play measure patients. Now it's time to learn minor, diminished. Minor or aphasia is the same thing as measured. However, you need to change one single node, right? So instead of play Fred number nine on a string number tree, we play fret number eight on a string number tree. Right there. You can play like this. Morphemes street 1 " or play like this. One finger to nose, right? And this is C minor, D minor, just one whole stack array in the same guitar shaped. E minor. One whole step in same guitar shape. Okay, now it's time to Blake diminish or pages. So it's the same thing as minor. However, you need to change one single note instead of play Fred number eight. When a string number two, you play flat number seven. Alright, so like this or like this with your pinky finger. In now we have the three basic types of our patients, right? From this really older patients offshore scale. In this example, we are going to play in C meters. So C major, E minor, F, G major minor, and diminished or patient. You can play here as well. Okay? B, D, and F. Alright. It's very important to practice this type of exercise in memorize, this type of pattern is going to help a lot to improvise and play guitar solos. 23. Fly me to the moon - chords: All right guys, let's start with the chords. Okay? I'm going to teach you the cords, the malady, and finally the finger style, just to give you all the details to this song, right? And of course remember that chord melody is when you play the chords and the melody. But sometimes you can chain one finger mother, right? Can add your guitar leaks. A walking bass. Chord progressions set of clear, regular, choose five completed. We're altering nodes in one key. You can improvise a little bit of thinking that you just needed to take 70 or 80 per cent of the song and copy as the original one, the other, the other 20%, I think is nice when you put something new, some melody is something that is your signature. I'm going to draw this step-by-step and please learn it step-by-step and understand its function in taking this approach and applying other songs. This lesson discourse is not about how to memorize flying through the middle finger, C9 chord melody. It's about learning how to play the song and understand all the concepts. You can take this concept, take this knowledge, and apply your sauce. Okay, Let's go. So let's start with the course bark. So the first one is going to be a minor chord from minor seventh chord. So everything in the frat number five, second chord, the minor seventh chord. So it's a bar chord. Yeah, you have a number of tree and your middle finger, right? I'm not going to explain every single core because we've already learned about this court's right. So print the complimentary material and to memorize those courts, Katie are very important to this Song, of Songs as well. So a minor seventh chord in a dominant chord. And we have a trick right here. We have the same guitar shapes. So D minor seven, we play the fret number three on string number six, we're going to have G7. Next score is gonna be C major seventh chord. So see, gordon can see dominant chord is just a search. You remove your finger number Chu array. So middle finger and of course transformed to bar chord. In this case, if you have two samples to each card, so 1234, okay? Next one is going to be F major seven. So right here in the fret, number one on a string number six, okay, be careful with Discord. Next one is going to be B half-diminished. So right here, finger number one in the frack number two. Okay. Be careful with this one as well because it's not so fast ray. And the last one is going to be seven. So it's a very low cores, Not a problem at all. Just blade is in this type of music, music style. We had a lot of movements, shrinks. And the true next score is going to be E minor seventh chord that has the same guitar shape, S E7. Bet they're going to play in fret on a string, number five, instead of me on the street, number six, E7 is blamed. Three, number five, with the same shape you're going to read your have a different chord. Alright? Next one is going to be A7. So choose two fingers. This is bar is the same fee as did they want and replay it right here. Minor G7. So it's 1234, right? Next one is going to be the miner salmon run learned his score gray. Very easy. One, B7 one more time. And we have, sorry, see me or seven, right? Next one, next Barbara going to have three chords. So minor seventh chord in a flat or this type of farming is very common jazz in Boston or her music. Instead of you play jazz. Five chord. So E minor seven, E7. We are going to service to this A7 to eat or to E flat cake. You can repeat this approach step-by-step in other parts of the song as well, the rank. Be careful because this Corvette going to use the pinky finger right here as 13. And a second one. Oh, sorry. Third Court. So a flat 13. We're going to move one fret. An escort. We can put this example in the bar number nine in ten. So the minor seventh chord, instead of play G7, we bleach entertainment. Flattered. That says, Well, let's listen. Fairness isn't it? Sounded very Jesse. The next one is gonna be D minor seven, G7 in meters and of God, we already learned about scored zero. We have a Jew, five, but a minor 25. So B half-diminished and E7, right? Then we come back to the top of the song. Repeats exactly the same thing, but instead of goes to the ending number one that it was embarked 11, we're going show anything number two, that is z bar 70. So we have E minor seventh chord, A7. You can substitute to return, or a flat 13 is up to you array D minor, G7. Same thing. You can put G3 and flat 13, and finally, C major chord to end the song, right? Xamarin, it is very nice you play. And in my opinion, you should play the chords before you play the melody and go to the finger style lesson. Okay, so memorize these courts in practice a lot. 24. Learning the melody: Let's learn the melody part. So we start right here, frack number five and a string number three. This is the first bar. In my opinion. It's nice if you start with your finger, number two. Okay. Because fingering marijuana, use your pinky finger. Use just two fingers. Are just one finger you can play with for one thing. It's going to sound really weird and it's gonna be almost impossible to play finger style with just one finger, so racks or four fingers. This is the first bar. Let's play one more time. 34. Next part is gonna be five-seven, one string number 45, and foreign string number 3253. As you can see, I can play with my pinky finger breadths. Or if this guy right here, next bar, bar number five, we have 535 finger once, Nikki, and you can cut my fingers. It's going to be easier for you or you can buy your own fingers. My in my opinion, this finger reports very important. A barn over eight. So we have this tree in. I think it's nice to play with dressing a number of 1.2 array. So F sharp distinct shops, very important because they're going to eat seven, okay? The main character of the court exports gonna be re, so f, c know the C major seventh chord, C7 before this is before skip this bar, right? Replay case. A very dissonant note because we have a C7. So B flat, but the score of the song, the original one is B. And he keeps going to the next bar to play five KB. Careful because we're going to skip one string, skip string number for a grade. Next one is going to be 4545. So if you prefer, you can use your pinky finger. But to this board, I think better, at least to me to play with my finger number three, right? So we have a pulse in porch wealth. In Bart 13, we have five treat the minor set of core. The next 2 bar, you're going to play 753 and to the right. Then we come back to the top of the song, okay, until the bar number 11 start off, played baryon, but 111 more time. That is the first ending. We skipped the second ending. So bar number 17 is gonna be five for staff and dream, dream. All right, so the right and the last notes at the end of the song is gonna be 353. I played a song and it was in three strings, right? So three number 34.5. But you can play this version. And I think he's gonna be nice if you're planning a higher version as well. Kings sort of start right here, completing your higher notes. So you're hired. See, I think it's gonna be nice for you to practice. All right Guys, we're going off course, memorize this melody and play with me, should gather, okay, but the lesson and played a song with me to Brex, it's gonna be very important for you to go to the next level and to the next class. 25. Fingerstyle: Now it's time to learn cornmeal, the real Carmella. I know we spent a lot of time learning Armani chords, musical intervals, and several other silver jackets. But these subjects or fear important. If you skip all these lessons, this lesson right now is going to be really hard for you. Really, really hard. That's why they are adolescents are still important. But if you did your homework and learn all the step-by-step, this class is gonna be really easy. Now it's time to go to the core malady lesson. And I need to explain one thing about chord melody and fingers directs the same thing. When you play a chord, it's important to put the note of the melody inside a chord K. And usually we put in the highest note, not in the lowest nodes. So e.g. instead of plagiarize a minor seventh chord that we learned a few lessons ago. We play a minor seventh chord. It doubt our pink fingers so that our, our, our notes. So the highest, know it's gonna be number five on a string or tree. So it's gonna be very important. It's like a recipe. You need to follow this step-by-step. Okay? So remember, check the cord and check the melody. It's important to note of the melody inside the core. The highest bid, not the lowest bit. Okay guys? So we're going to play this chord in a, play the melody. Okay, until frack number five. Here we go to D minor seven chord. In this case, my dean should start with bar number two, but if not before right? It's not. A pulmonary route is very common in finger style and cotton mallet as well. Usually people play the chord Barnum or chew array. So sounds very nice. It's a very nice approach. And we're going to use the regular imagine just denote off the melody is F. And if you check right here, denote for our D minor seventh F note. So it's going to work perfectly. So let's play again. Sounds very nice. Right? Next part, 573, and we have recess. Okay, Same thing right here. Our, our perfect fifth with high-speed. Our note of the melody. Next part. We have a G, F, C major seventh chord in C Santa, that is via important that dominant core to the next chord. So five to one. That is, okay. In this case, we remove our professors as well. The melody is two in the third of the chord. So most of the case, the manner of the song is going to be in the third root or in the perfect fifth of the chord. Most of the case. Let's go, let's go to the 0. We still have the melody right here. So we have our B half-diminished. That's going to work perfectly the regular position. Noting the malady. So let's play it one more time. We have a neo mallard right here, right when you call it. 26. Chord melody : We have a neo mallard right here, right when you cord, so you have to treat 2.7. C7 is very important. And it's important to put D, D sharp node in the melody, right? That's why we don't plate. You might open strings. Next part to reach you. Open string in the mire, South Korea, I'm sorry, seventh chord, same shape. So one string down, we have A7 and we have a base approach. So open streets, C-sharp, D-sharp, sorry, D minor seven chord, this part right here, you can improvise a little bit. You can add a walking bass, you can change a little bit of the base of the song. You can add your armory, you can add your legs. You can your approach, in my opinion, I think is just necessary to copy what copy? I mean, following exactly the song 75, 80% of the song, the other two, 8%, you can put your signature, okay? So instead of play that P node as base in D minor seventh chord, you can other base bikinis a minor seventh because we have minor seven D, So it's going to work perfectly as well cases up to you guys. And here, when we go to the, I wrote the decoder part of the chord. You can play like this. Come like I wrote them as well or just played the flute. Next part, we are going to Z0. But this is different. Bark or right here, but we're going to put our finger in the next fret to transform these G-Major for us, for the melody chord. And in this bar I add, I totally agree. We don't have this guitar lake in the original song, but you can add as well. Remember, wireless talking about unique, weightier stuff's great. Your own legs, walking bass, core chains and things like that. It's going to improve a lot. Your fingers tight chord melody. Next part is going to be E minor seventh chord, a flat. We don't have Melody right here, so you just keep playing a chord. Next one. D minor seventh chord, or the courts, you, G7. But with the melody in this course really weird, isn't it? The melody sounds really difficult to play. After this right here would be the melody in a cake. So you need to have a very nice bark core right here. We have C64 cake, so be careful with the spotless plumber that one more time. Okay, be careful with this one. The next record is, are gonna be easy. So we already know B half-diminished in E7. Can we come back to the top after sung to the first ending, sterile flavor firsthand. And we go to the second handling, that is going to be E minor seventh chord. We have a third and a flat 13 bar 90 team, we have very different, right? I put this or here because the note of the melody, cadence is a D minor chord, the minor seventh chord, but the note of the melody, that's why I put the CNN is music interval. It's up to you as well. Key. Remember, this lesson discourse is about teach you how to play Carmella finger style. I don't want you to copy all my fingers styling chord melody, okay, I need to teach you all the step-by-step for you to create your own right and apply this technique in your address songs as well. The next part is going to be G7, but with the melody in C, That's right here. For number five. We have the melody in d, C-Corps, right? So let's play all the 3 bar. Very nice, isn't it? So this is how I play cord medulla. So I hope you enjoyed this lesson and remember, you just need to keep following the rules that I was talking about. If you have a core, keep the melody in the highest note of the court, not in the lowest notes. You can add your guitar licks, had your core change, your base approach, alright, not a problem at all, but keep at least 75, 80% of the song, okay? Just to keep the original sound, if you change the treatment is going to sound a little bit weird and practice a lot because this type of techniques, not easy. Practice with me. Come back to the beginning of the video and play with me several times, okay. Until you you play correctly, the sock being dry and now such cracks. 27. Final notes: This is the last lesson of our course. I hope you enjoy all my lessons. Thank you so much. See you. Bye-bye.
