Description:

Jewelry that is beautiful, sustainable, customizable, and also reasonable - sounds too good to be true, isn’t it? Now such fantasies are realities with Terracotta jewelry. Intricate eco-friendly jewelry hand-made from clay is a fast-growing trend.

The current fashion landscape is all about reviving home-grown crafts and hand-made processes, and with this, terracotta jewelry has made a comeback. It is a material that can replace heavy precious metals but is still just as trendy and chic in design, as well as environment-friendly. Not to mention affordable! The life of modern women has multiple occasions and events, and with more and more women wanting more variety to choose from, pocket-friendly and beautiful accessories are in high demand. And we haven’t yet come to the best part - each piece can be customized to match an outfit!

This means you can have a terracotta accessory hand-painted to the same color as your dress to create a truly elegant and well-groomed look. Each piece can also be embellished to add to its charm, for example, beads are added to traditional jhumkas. The talented terracotta artists hand-sculpt earthy clay into the required design. Intricate almost microscopic design details are added and then the process of hand-painting starts.

The process sounds simple but requires expertise and precision. Terracotta jewelry is essentially jewelry made from clay, the soil of the earth. It is an art, and there are many skilled women and men from villages and cities engaging in this indigenous skill.

It is when the earth becomes art that each piece of covetable terracotta jewelry comes to life!!

In this course, we will learn how to create different types of Terracotta Clay Jewellery such as Pendants, Studs, Jhumkas & Jewelry Sets from scratch. I will cover how to prepare clay, create different types of beads, make impressions or designs, bake the clay and paint it. Finally, we will see how to assemble the different parts to create awesome Jewelry and I will share some practical tips all along the course which I have gained during my experience of 10+ years.

Let's get started.

Hi, my name is Sudha and I am a jewelry designer partner of Fashionous. Fashionous is an online platform offering unique products and services related to fashion. I have been practicing this work of art for eight years and have conducted many workshops in schools, colleges and private companies. In this course we will learn how to create different types of terracotta clay jewelry such as pendants, studs and jhumkas from scratch. I will cover how to prepare clay, create different types of beads, make impressions or designs, bake the clay and paint it. Finally, we will see how to assemble the different parts to create fabulous jewelry. I will share some practical tips all along the course which I have gained during my experience in this field. Let's get started. 2. Tools Required to make Terracotta Jewelry: Now we are going to see the materials required to make terracotta jewelry. This is terracotta clay. A PVC pipe to roll the clay. We can use any roller to roll the clay. Plier, Cutter, Nichrome wire. For impressions, we can use a hacksaw blade or knife. These are some wooden tools to make the impressions. Few molds and cutters in different shapes. Here are some paper cuttings and round molds and for painting, we will be using acrylic paints. Make sure you choose a good brand for the acrylic paint. These are acrylic paints in golden shade and antique shade. Here are a few brushes in different sizes. This is a palette for painting. For assembling the terracotta jewelry set, we will use gear wire, gear lock, stud base and stud bush for studs, hooks and rope. This is used for making tangles and this is another rope that can be used to make small terracotta jewelry sets. 3. Clay Preparation: Now, we will be seeing how to prepare the clay for making terracotta jewelry. This is the clay that we will be using. We should keep this clay in an air-tight container or else it might get dry. First, take a small quantity of clay and mix it well like this. We do this to remove all the air blocks. If you feel that the clay texture is hard, add a little amount of water and again, mix it well. The consistency of the clay should be like a dough we use for baking and cooking purposes. Now the clay is ready for the process. Let's begin. 4. Making of Round Beads: Now, we are going to make a round bead. Just take a pinch of clay. Rotate with your fingers and keep it in your palm. By using this finger, just rotate the clay. The round should be perfect. If the clay gets any cracks or got a little dry, add a little bit of water and then roll it again. You will get a perfect round. This is the bead with a perfect round shape. Make a hole in it. Note that we should wait for at least 10 to 15 minutes to make a hole on the bead. To make a perfect bead, the consistency of the clay is very important. It should not be too hard. These are beads in different sizes. After 15 to 20 minutes, we can make the hole. Now the bead got dry. We can make the hole. Take a big needle, then insert the needle in the bead. You should not insert fully. Just insert the needle halfway through the bead. The bead should be at the center of the needle. Now it's perfectly at the center. Just push the bead. You should not push the needle. Just push the bead. Remove the extra clay. Rotate the needle, take it out. You should insert the needle at both the ends of the hole, only then we will get the perfect hole. Rotate it and then remove the needle. 5. Impressions on Round Beads: Now, we are going to make impressions on round beads. This is a flower bead. This one and this one. This one is a dotted bead. By using hacksaw blade, we will create the impressions. Just close the holes by using the fingers and then rotate the bead against the hacksaw blade. You should make these impressions after making the holes. The beads should be at least 30% to 40% dry. Only then you can get a clear impression. Now, we are going to see how to make this impression. We can do this by using hacksaw blade. Take a bead, put a hole on the top and bottom and hold the bead like this. Then rotate the hacksaw blade in this manner. The spacing should be equal. Press it very lightly. Now we can see how to make the flower bead. We can make the flower bead by using the brush cap. We should cut half portion of the brush cap. It will give you a C shape like this. By using this, you can make the flower bead. Take a bead. Just close the holes by using a finger. Make an impression on the center. Just rotate the bead against the Hacksaw blade. The bead should be at least 30% to 40% dry. Only then we will get a clear impression. By using the brush cap, first make the impressions on both the sides and then by using a knife, extend it till the hole. Do it on both sides. Now let's see the next bead. This one. Just hold the bead like this. Close both the holes with your fingers. At the center, just make an impression. Turn the bead and then mark another impression. You should rotate both the hacksaw blade and also the bead. And then on the center make a 'V' impression. Now we can see how to make dotted impressions on the bead. For that take a needle and the bead. Make the dotted impressions on the bead like this. Finally make sure you put a hole in the Center. 6. Fixed and Hanging Beads : For any jewellery, we will have two types of beads. This one is a hanging bead. This one is a fixed bead. For hanging bead, we will use the U loop. For fixed beads, use a straight wire like this. Now we can see how to make the hanging bead. First let's make the U loop. Hold the Nichrome wire like this. Then by using the plier, just bend the nichrome wire. The U should be straight. Then cut the U loop by using the cutter. Both ends should be in equal length. The U should be as perfect as this like this. Once again, I will show this. Bend the U and cut it for making the hanging beads. Then for fixed beads, just a straight nichrome wire is enough for making the fixed bead. In this bead we will use U loop. This one is a fixed bead. Before making any pending or studs, make and keep the beads ready. It should be very dry. Then only we can fix it on any pendant or stud. Roll it by keeping it on your palm. You should make all the required sizes of hanging and fixed beads. We have made few beads, U loops and straight wire. The U loop size should be according to the bead size. If the bead is small, the U loops should also be small. You should leave a little gap to join the other U loop. For fixed bead, you should use a straight nichrome wire. The length of the Nichrome wire depends upon the bead size. You should insert it fully. This one is fixed fixed bead. It is ready. This one is hanging bead. These are dried, fixed and hanging beads. 7. Making of Cylindrical Beads : Now, we will be seeing how to make a cylindrical bead. For that, take a small quantity of clay. If it looks a little hard, add a few drops of water to bring it to the right consistency and mix it well. Just roll the clay. By keeping your hands like this and the clay in the middle of your palm. Make sure you roll the clay until you get the perfect cylindrical shape. Now you can see we have got a cylindrical shape. Wait for 15 to 20 minutes until it gets partially dry. Then we will be making a hole and marking our impressions. Now the bead has dried. Take a long needle like this and carefully insert it in the middle of the bead from one side and bring it out on the other side. Remove the leftover clay from the middle and repeat this process by switching to the other side. Rotate it and make a hole. Remove the extra clay and take the needle out from the other side. Now, we can start marking the impression as we did before for the round bead. Following the same method using your creativity you can make any type of impression on the bead. We can use a blade or even earbuds to make a round impression. Now using this knife I am marking the impression on both the sides like this. If you need a plain cylindrical bead, you can leave it as it is without marking any impression. 8. Making of Disc Beads : Now, we will be seeing how to make a disc bead. We will be following the same method as we did for cylindrical bead. Mix the clay, roll it, add few drops of water and roll the clay. Leave it for 15 to 20 minutes, and then we can cut the disc shape. Now we can see that the clay has dried partially. Using a knife first, cut the extras. Make sure you rotate and cut it. Avoid cutting in a straight position. Now remove the uneven cylindrical bead. As you can see now, this looks perfect. We can go ahead and cut the cylindrical bead. Just rotate the knife and also the bead. And finally, here is our disc bead. 9. Making of Raindrop Beads : Now, we can see how to make a raindrop bead. Take a pinch of clay, add a little bit of water and roll it. Keep your finger at the end of the bead and then roll it. Our raindrop bead is ready. You can use this bead as hanging bead or as a fixed bead. If you're using it as a hanging bead, you can use the U loop. 10. Making of Square Beads: Now, we can see how to make the square bead. Take a small quantity of clay by using a roller roll it. The pressure you're giving should be equal on all the sides. Let it dry for half an hour. After it becomes dry, cut the edges. The size of the bead depends upon your requirement. You can make the square bead in this method. Also in market, you have pluggers for this square bead. You can use those for making the square bead. Now the beads are ready. You can make the hole like this. Our square bead is ready. 11. How to make a Mango Stud: Now, we will see how to make a mango stud using a paper cutting. Place the paper cutting on the rolled clay and make an impression along the edges. Using a sharp object, take out the paper cutting and remove the unwanted clay. Smoothen the edges carefully using the knife. Take a little bit of water in your finger and smoothen it again. We are giving a round impression on the center. Take a small brush cap and make small round impressions along the sides. Don't make the impressions too deep, just press it lightly. Now, we will attach hanging beads at the bottom. Make a U loop with the nichrome wire and attach it to the beads. Insert the other end of the U loop to the stud base. While inserting, make sure it is in a straight position and also the wire shouldn't come out from the other end of the stud. The mango studs are ready. 12. How to make a Round Stud: Let's see how to make the stud. Take a small amount of clay and add a little bit of water. Mix it well to avoid air blocks. If there are air blocks, it might burst while baking. So keep this in mind and mix it thoroughly. Now, using a roller roll like this. As we are going to make a stud, the width of the rolled clay should be thin. Wait for 15 minutes for it to get dry and then we will start making the stud. This area has some air blocks. So we will avoid using the clay from there. We will use a small cap or any round cutter of the desired size to cut the clay. By using the cap, press gently onto the clay. Avoid pressing fully. Just go halfway through. Cut the clay and remove the unwanted parts. The finishing will look perfectly only if the clay gets dried sufficiently, so please ensure that. Add a little bit of water and smoothen the edges. Make sure the back side also looks neat. Now we will start giving the impressions using a hacksaw blade. Draw straight lines. Give the impressions a little deep so that it will be easy while painting. We will be adding in the hanging at the bottom. So for that, I have made some beads already. Make a U loop by bending and cutting the Nichrome wire using a plier and cutter and use it to attach the beads. Insert the U loop into the other U loop of the bead. Now insert the bead to the center of the stud. Make sure the bead is hanging. Don't insert it too deep or leave more gap between the bead and the stud base. You can also add a small bead at the center of the stud like this. This is a fixed bead with a small nichrome wire. As the thickness of the stud is less, we are using a Nichrome wire with a small length so that it doesn't come out the back side of the stud. The studs are ready. 13. How to make Pendants - Introduction: Next, we will look at creating pendants. This is an unbaked pendant and this is a baked pendant. Before starting to make a pendant, we should make all the required fixed beads and hanging beads that we will use in the pendant. It should be dried, should not be wet. So make in all required sizes and keep it ready. These are the fixed beads and hanging beads. 14. How to prepare the base for a Mango Pendant: Now we will prepare the base for mango pendant. Take a little bit of clay. Add some water, mix it thoroughly and remove all the air blocks. Roll it. The base should be thick. It should not be too thin. It should be in this size. Wait for 30 to 45 minutes. Let it dry. You can cut mango shape in any cardboard or any thick paper. Keep the mango cutting on the clay Using a toothpick or a sharp object, mark impression like this. Now take it out. Now, you can cut the extras by using knife. By using knife, clean out the extras. You should not touch the front area. Handle the clay in a gentle manner so that the shape is not damaged. By using water, wipe it in the backside. Also, you shouldn't add more water. Clean the top area. Now we can start making impressions on this. You can take another mango paper cutting in a small size. Keep it on this. Mark the impression. Take it out. The pendant base is ready. 15. How to make Impressions on a Mango Pendant: By using the pressure cap make the impressions the spacing should be equal. Don't insert too deeply. Just place it carefully. Mark the centre mango a little thicker so that the impressions will be thick. It will be easier for us to paint Clean the extra clay. Mark the impressions twice or thrice to get the perfect impression. 16. How to attach beads to a Mango Pendant: Take a fixed bead and place it on the center of the mango pendant. We'll attach a raindrop bead at the bottom. For that, you need a U loop. Using plier, bend the wire and cut it. Join the U loops and attach it like this. Now we have to make a big U loop for the hanging. The U loop should be longer and also broader. You should leave a gap like this. While assembling we will insert the gear wire here. You can use same size bead or in descending or ascending order of sizes. Now it's ready. By using a brush cap you can make a few small rounds around here to decorate it. The mango pendant is ready. Again you can re-mark the impressions by using the same brush cap to make it look more prominent. 17. How to prepare the base for a Peacock Pendant: Now, we will see how to make a Peacock pendant by using paper cutting. Please note that the clay will shrink a little bit after it gets dry. So make the paper cutting a little bigger than the required size. After the clay gets dry, it will usually shrink for 5 to 10%. The consistency of the clay is good, so no need to add water. Mix it well, remove all the air blocks, let it dry for half an hour and then we can start the process. Now the clay got dry. Keep the Peacock paper cutting on the clay. By using a toothpick, make the impression. You should be very careful at the head part and near the neck too. We have done the outer area. You can make the impression on the inner portions too by using the same toothpick. After making all the impressions, remove the paper cutting. Now remove the extra clay by using the knife. For the smaller portions, use a wooden cutter and remove the unwanted clay. Then at the center, just mark the impression. I have marked it very deeply. To cut out this clay, push it down like this. We have taken out the clay from the head part. 18. How to make impressions on a Peacock Pendant: Now we will Mark the impressions a little deeper using the toothpick You can cut half of a pen cap or similar object and use it to create a C-shape impression. By using that, you can make the impressions on the neck area By using a smaller object like a brush cap. Make the round impressions like this. Okay, we have completed the impressions. Next, we have to fix the beads. 19. How to attach beads to a peacock Pendant: For this, we can make a different type of bead for hanging. So let's do a cone-shaped bead. By using the blade, mark any impression as you wish. Insert the U loop for hanging. Then use another U loop and insert the hanging bead in the cone shape beads. Now, we can join this to the pendant base. This should get dry for at least 10 to 15 minutes. Now we can attach the fixed beads around the Peacock. Now insert the cone hanging bead by using a U loop. We have completed our peacock pendant. 20. How to prepare the base for a round pendant: We will see how to paint the peacock pendant. Whenever you start coloring, first start with beads and its backside and move onto the front. For this pendant, we will be using blue and green. We will first give golden coating to the entire piece and then we will paint the blue and green portion here. I have mistakenly painted over the impressions, so now I am fixing it by using a needle like this. Now, we will give the second coating. As the first coating has dried, this area, which I'm showing will be colored in blue. This is green and in the middle, gold. As we will be giving gold in the middle, we will give a second gold coating. This area will also have gold color. And so we are giving a second coating here too. The hanging center part also has gold. So we will go ahead and give the second coat. Now the gold coating is done and we are moving on to blue color. Continue to paint like this, moving on to green while the blue portion gets dry. We have missed giving blue color here, so we will do it. Now I'm sure the first blue coating is dry. And so now we will give a second coating. We will give a second coating for green. Now, this is now completed, but still we need to retouch to get a good finish. These dots can also be painted again to give a vibrant look. I am adding a little bit of pink color to these dots. 21. How to make impressions on a round pendant: You can use household items like these for making impressions Just place the cap on the clay You should make sure it is exactly at the center Then press it slightly Don't press it too deeply Press slightly Then remove it carefully Now we have a perfect round We can make another round. By using hacksaw blade make some impressions I have done the center part already I just made a round bead and cut it into two Then I have fixed few Nichrome wires The number of Nichrome wires depend upon the area you are covering. For this size four to five wires are enough Now you can place this in the center and make some impressions This all depends on your creativity Okay we have completed this one 22. How to attach beads to a round pendant: Now the main thing is you should make a big "U" loop for the round pendant. For making a big "U" loop place the plier on the wire support it with the finger. Press and bend it to form the "U" loop It should be little lengthier Then cut it Place the "U" loop in the center of the pendant Press it straight It should not be at the sides It should be at the center I've already prepared these fixed beads and hanging beads like these I'm going to hang seven beads. One at the center. Just join this yellow to the pendant like this. Our Angling bead is ready. You can just hold it like this with your thumb and see whether it's exactly at the center of the pendant Then press it Okay Now you can take the next bead and insert it The gap should be equal Now our round pendant is ready with perfect hangings 23. How to prepare the base for a Jhumka: Now, we will see how to prepare the base for the Jhumka. Take an object with the required size of the base and make an impression on the clay. Just push it halfway through the the clay. Don't push it completely. Remove the unwanted clay. Add a little bit of water and smoothen the edges using your fingers. We will make a few more impressions to decorate the base. Now we will insert the U loop. Leave a little gap from the base. The base is ready. 24. How to prepare the dome for a Jhumka: Now, we will prepare the Dome for the Jhumkas. Choose the required size in the palette. Take a small amount of clay, add a little bit of water and mix it thoroughly so that there are no air blocks. Roll it between your palms. This area over here should be crack free. Press the clay firmly against the desired block in the palette like this. Shake it lightly and take out the clay. We have got the desired shape. Let it dry for ten minutes. After that, we will remove the extra clay. Follow the same process for the other Jhumka. Let it dry for a few minutes. Now it has dried, so let's remove the unwanted clay. Using a small knife, cut out the excess clay. Hold the knife straightly. While cutting the unwanted clay, smoothen the edges using the blade like this. If you want to shorten the length, you can first make the marking and then cut out the unwanted portions. After removing the unwanted clay, place them side by side. Compare it to ensure both pieces look uniform. Take a little bit of water in your fingers and smoothen the Dome like this. If we use this Dome as it is for the Jhumka, it will be a little heavy, so we will scoop out small portions of the clay from the center using a scooping tool. Don't scoop out too much clay, just scoop out only a little bit of clay. If the Jumka is small, scooping won't be necessary. After this, take a little bit of water in your finger and smoothen the inside and the edges. Be careful not to add too much. I have made few fixed beads and dried them. We can also add this to the Dome. 25. How to make impressions on a Jhumka: Now, we will make the impressions on the Jhumkas using a blade or any sharp object. Make impressions on the Jhumkas like this. Let the impressions be a little deep. We will also make a circular impression on the top portion of the Jhumka. 26. How to attach the base and beads to a Jhumka: Now, we will see how to attach beads and base for jhumkas. As we are ready with the jhumka, we will now be inserting the beads. Make sure you take equal sized fixed beads. These fixed beads have to be completely dry so that it will look neat. Before we get into fixing process, make the fixed and hanging beads in various sizes and keep it ready. Now take a fixed bead and insert straight like this. If it is slightly slanting, take it out and insert it again. If you want to make any adjustments, take out the bead and insert it again making a new hole. We have completed attaching all the beads. As you can see, everything looks even. Now we have a pair of jhumkas with attached beads. Here, I have the base with a small U loop. Make sure the base is dry. Only then we can insert it. We will take a long U loop and attach it to the base. By taking a long size U loop, it will help you balance the weight of your jhumka and hold it steady. Now take the U loop and insert to the base like this. Hold the U loop between your fingers and insert to the center of the jhumka in a straight position. You can see the nichrome wire on the other part of the Jhumka. Repeat the same process to the other jhumka as well. Make sure both have an even gap. The Jhumkas are ready for the next process. 27. How to fix the stud base for a Jhumka: Now, we will be fixing this stud base. For this, we are going to use a superglue such as Anabond or FeviQuick. I'm going to use Anabond superglue. Apply small amount of the glue and place the stud base here. I have used silver color stud base. Gold and silver color stud bases are commonly available in the market. After placing the stud base, we should let it dry. When it becomes dry, apply another small coating of glue around the stud base. Make sure that the glue doesn't spread and touch the Jhumka. Because if it does, it will make it stiff and it will have difficulty hanging. Hold it until it gets dry or place it down carefully so that the glue doesn't spread everywhere. 28. Pre Baking : Now, we are going to see pre-baking steps to be followed before we actually get into the process. Make sure to dry your terracotta products under heavy sunlight for the whole day or under fan for two days. Only then, it will be be ready for the baking process. If the products didn't get dried properly, they will burst while baking. So make sure it gets dry properly. 29. Baking: This is the pot that we use for terracotta baking and it's called the pot method. For this, we have to put about five to six holes around the pot as this promotes air circulation for the fire. First we should block the holes by using the clay. The baking process will be two and half hours. After 1 hour, we will be removing the clay from the holes. Now we are using Paddy Husk for the baking process. Make sure to sprinkle some water on the paddy husk. Fill the paddy husk till you reach the holes in the pot and tap it well. Then you can place your products like this. As you can see for now I'm keeping only the pendants. If you want to keep your beads, you can assemble them in the nichrome wire and then you can place it here. Now we again add Paddy husk and cover the pendants completely. Fill the pot by using Paddy husk for the measurement of three by four. Remaining portion, we will be filling it with charcoal till the pot is fully covered as we will be using the charcoal for burning purpose. Use some coconut husk (paper is also optional) and add a few drops of kerosene (fuel) into it and burn it. Switch on the fan to get continuous fire. After 1 hour, remove the clay from the hole and leave it for another one and a half hour. Totally baking hours is about two and a half hours. After the burning time, switch off the fans and leave it for 1 hour. When the time is up, take out our When the time is up, take out our terracotta products from the pot carefully. terracotta product from the burn pot carefully. The baking process is now complete. We will be taking out the baked pieces from the pot. As you can see, all the pieces have turned completely black after baking. Here I have displayed all the the beads, pendants and Jhumkas after the baking process is done. Now they are ready to be painted. 30. How to paint a pendant: We will see how to paint the peacock pendant. 31. How to paint Jhumkas: Next, we will be painting the Jhumkas. This one is from the Peacock jewelry set. First we will start giving golden coating on the beads. Color here on the center area. Now we have completed giving the first coat of colors for both and we'll be moving on to the beads to give the second coat. Wait for five minutes to let it dry. Now it has dried. Start giving the second coating for the leftover gold area. Now, we will start giving blue and green coloring. Let's give second coating for the green followed by blue. Clean the brush by dipping it in the water before changing the color. Also, wait for five minutes after each coating given so that it gets dry. We have finished painting the jhumkas. 32. How to paint Beads: We will now be seeing how to paint beads. Take a long needle with appropriate thickness. The needle's thickness should be that of the beads hole because while inserting, the beads should at least go halfway through the needle instead of hanging at the end. We will be using a bigger brush such as a size three brush for painting. As usual, we will give a double coating. The first coat should get dry before we give the second coating. So for that you can place the needle in a thermocol or any stand so that it doesn't move. If the bead hole is small, you can opt for a small needle only. After the first coating gets dry, you should go on to the second coating. Paint from the top to bottom in a uniform manner while giving the second coating. Now it has dried. You can either take it out or turn the needle upside down and give the second coating. I have used a small palette here. You can choose a bigger one if you need. We have now finished painting the beads. 33. Assembly: Now, we will see how to assemble the different parts to finish the jewelry. I have already colored the beads. As you can see, the beads and pendants are ready. Now I will be using this gear wire. You might have noticed in the beginning when we started making terracotta jewelry, we would have used nichrome wire. But here we are using gear wire. This will be available in the local markets in both golden and silver colors. You can buy whichever color you need based on your requirements. Now we will be using this gear wire by cutting it into the required length we need. Make a center point in the wire. As you can see, we have kept a hook on the pendant. Now using this wire we should lock the pendant. Keep the center of the wire behind the hook so that it looks something like a V shape. Insert one end of the wire inside the hook and bring it out. Repeat the same process for the other end of the wire. Now the pendant is locked. If you keep the hook in a perpendicular direction to the pendant, it will shake. To avoid that, we have kept the hook in a parallel position with respect to the pendant. Now we will start inserting the beads. The beads can be small or big. It's up to you to decide which looks good. You can also add sugar beads in between or go with big beads as I'm doing it here. If you add sugar beads there will be small gap between the bigger beads and it will give a different look. In sugar beads, we usually have two colors in the market, gold and antique. Here I am doing without adding any sugar beads. Now, we will see how to attach the finishing thread. It is available in market in various color options like gold, red, black, etc. You can choose any color you prefer. After adding two gear locks at the end of the wire, I am now inserting the wire into the thread like this. If it doesn't go inside, use a needle to make the hole little bigger and try it again. After inserting the wire, turn it around and insert it into the two gear locks in the end and bring it out. Tighten it without leaving any gap. Follow the same procedure for the other side. Now using a plier, press it firmly to tighten so that it doesn't come out. Cut out the extra gear wire. The assembling is done. The jewelry piece is complete. 34.
