1. Introduction: Hello and welcome everyone. I'm Dr. Sarah and I'm going to be your instructor for this course. By education. I'm a doctor, but I had been a serial entrepreneur all my life. And we started to wrenches. Why is this course required? I would like to ask you a simple question. Do you have unlimited time to market yourself? You must be a professional consultant, a freelancer, or a startup founder or something similar. You need time to develop your products and services. Instead, you need to spend a significant chunk of your time marketing yourself. This does not look like an ideal situation to me. I post about one hundred, two hundred social media posts among using lime method, working about one hour per week. Depending on your need, you will need to increase or decrease this. But eventually my aim is for hours per month in market. Now let us see what are we going to learn in this course? The table of contents are as following. First, I'll tell you about the tools we need for an effective marketing. Then we'll talk about some of the special principles that we follow. First for the posts and then for the text that accompanies the post. Then we'll talk about creating a post with me and creating some texts with me. Most of these are activity-based, so it would be great if you can watch me. Also tried to emulate me. After that, I'll talk to you about timings of the post and then scheduling posts. Scheduling opposed is again an activity which I'll show you first and then subsequently you can read on the video several times just at various speeds, lag 0.75 X one X 1.5 weeks into intuitive to x. This will help you in building your speed to do the same activity which I've been doing. And lastly, I'll also talk to your vote, some soft actions which are actually a bonus funding, which in which I'm going to explain, in which I'm going to explain to you what additional things you can do to make your marketing more successful. 2. The Tools We Use: So let's talk about the tools that we need to use. And don't worry, all the tools of free of cost and only for scheduling do you need to buy a paid account. And it's up to you if you have a paid account of any of the tools that will do, I'm going to give you a demo in Canva. So again, what.com is a particular website which is very well known for allowing you to create posts and videos and presentations. And most of the stuff is free. The only thing you need to buy a paid account is for scheduling as far as we're concerned. So it's not complexity. You can do majority of free of cost itself. The next tool I'm going to talk about is pixabay.com and vaccines.com. So these are two websites which provide free and why LP free stock images for those vectors, videos in music. So this is important because we don't want to use images, videos, or music which have somebody else's copyright. And we have to either pay some money for it or get penalized state or on. The third thing you would need is a browser. I recommend Chrome browser, but once again, you are free to use though when you want. We would need a notepad. And why you would need a notepad is because all the texts that we need to post along with the post, we need to edit it in what? We do not do it in Word document or any such similar thing because it kind of adds rich text formatting to it, like bold and italics. And we don't really want that Notepad helps us in keeping it as simple texts. And that is exactly the way in which we can simply copy and paste it in any social media entry box. Next thing is jump cut off Likert or any other similar boat Manager for windows. The main purpose here is that if we use simple clipboard that comes by default with our operating system of computers, it remembers only the last thing that we copy. But when we have a clipboard manager, it remembers the last 100 art things that we copied. So we need to just copy this stuff only once. And then they drawn very well, we need to paste it begins called through multiple options. And next tool that I use is a password generator. I use a free password generator, which I'll show you. But you are also free to use any of the browser-based password generator or last pass on anything else that you use. The purposes will lead to generate a unique string and that we shall use in text. Use bit darkly. Bitly is essentially a URL shortener. Now when we want to put a link in opposed, it can be a very long link. It can be 50 or 60 characters. And for example, linkedin will allow you only want 1300 characters. And if 60 characters are going to be taken up by our link, then you are losing out on precious space to put more hashtags or more dimensions. So I don't want to do that. So I use a URL shortener, bit dark leaves my favorite, but you can use any other OneNote, so late, tiny URL. And using these, we reduce the number of characters eaten up by the link so that instead of 16, we can just make. And this, this leaves us with 50 additional characters to be used for hashtags on mentions. Link tree. Now linked trees and a free service. It's a premium service. You can buy expert account also. But most of the work we wanted to do and we didn't fall stream, link trees, a single webpage where you can come in then from there, you can direct people into visitors of your services to multiple links. So essentially the point is everybody does not have a website, so it's not easy to call all your visitors to a single page and then redirect. And the other thing is that certain social media like Instagram, allows you to put only one link and your website column. So you cannot redirect people do multiple things. So this is very linked tree really blossoms. If there's a link in your bio in Instagram, people can click on that. That should be a link drilling. And then you come to link three and Harry, and you can be direct people to all your products and services. Lastly, we are going to need a social media account for practice. I'm going to use LinkedIn, but you are free to use any other tools, any other social media that you want, Instagram or Facebook. All we'll do find the principle remains the same. 3. Special Principles For Image Posts: Now in this section I'm going to talk about the special principles we follow for posts. So I'm going to talk to you about how I create the posts and what happens. Suppose that keep in mind. And then subsequently as an activity, I'm also going to show you the same principles. So the first principle is grab the eyeballs. This is also called lab book. Use gallery and pictures to grab attention. Your posts should be attractive so that while opposing, scrolling through a busy feed off LinkedIn or Instagram, your post should attract attention. Now, you don't need to be gaudy or loud because that wouldn't help me. But at the same time, use bright colors. If you do not have a good aesthetic sense of graphics like I don't have it. So use templates. I always use templates because these templates have been created by the professionals and they understand the color combinations better than me. So when I use templates, it builds a post which is usually better than what I would have been able to create on my own. The second part is use brand get, rank. It is a paid service on Canva, but there are other tools where you can use. The essential component is use a consistent color team. So for example, in this presentation, you would see that most of the things are either black or yellow and then some shades in between. So this is a kind of a template and my own brand kit for my website, everything is between the yellow and black colors. So it builds a kind of consistency via this brand recognition merely by the use of color combinations. Well, it is another thing which you should be mindful off. Do not use pictures which are often low quality or which if you're using multiple pictures, do not use pictures. We had a one is very good quality and other when his poor because it will immediately stand out. So use good quality pictures. A lot of free stock for digits available from Pixabay Pexels and even Unsplash, if I recall correctly. If not, if you buy a paid account of Canva, they have a lot of pro photographs which you can use. And even then if you're not satisfied, you are welcome to purchase stock photos, stock for those, or you can even shoot one. Lastly, use a logo. And I'll be all knowing that in marketing, logos, well-established concept and logo has a brand reported value. Everyone, even if you're not a company, just a freelancer, even then you should have it local and not hesitate to spend or inhibitory US dollars on getting their logo, either from a professional or you can even vary the logo free of cost to dry out. And from AAA based tools available on the internet. And you can Google for them. And once you've finalized, then you again, but you can purchase them. Now the point is why should you purchase the logo and not just take a screenshot of the one which is the final product. The reason being all the different social media have an installment loan. So for example, you do gentle color has a different size. Linkedin, gentle, gentle color and a different size. Facebook has a different size. Logos are required in various color combination, sometimes on a transparency, sometimes as a vector. Sometimes you need a logo in monochrome. So there are so many use cases for having the logos in various sizes and formats that it is not possible for you to build all of that just by taking a screenshot of awesome logo that you spend some money and get a logo. But once you have it, and you will have a logo which is available to you for every social media possible. And it will just be a drag-and-drop for you. So makes your life easier. So do do by law, but not, not like religiosity. Targeting is each post should be unique. Now, this is important because all the social media, they monitor their hosting by automated AI algorithms. And if somebody is posting the same post again and again, you are going to be mockup. Eventually you'll be blacklisted. And you don't learn that because then it's very difficult to get the account released. So what you want to do is that each post of yours should be unique. Now how does an AI algorithm decide whether the post is unique or not? It is by simply measuring and comparing all the pixels. So even if you change a few pixels in your picture, each picture, each post will become unique and different. So I'm going to show you next in the activity, how do make goes to very quickly, which are like a 100 posts, which can get all 100 of them, will be getting the essential message that you want to convey. And yet having some difference so that the algorithm doesn't treat them as the same post. Next point is recolor often. So when you build a brand, could expect that you've really just two colors. There are a whole bunch of related colors in a brand kit. So you are free to recolor your posts a little bit here and there and even died change will make us unique. And more importantly, it prevents brain for D. And then fatigue is essentially when you see the same color, same logo, symbols, 3D dynamics that were in the first game. You are like, Okay, I've seen this poster. I don't want to read it and you just skip it. We don't want that fatigue because we have created posts which are, each of them are unique. So what we really want is that each post should be read by the potential reader. So if you change the color, if you change the presentation, if you change the photograph and the changeling in debt, then each post, even though I'm getting the same message, there will be some uniqueness to it so as to attract the eyeball. Lastly, I'll talk about the container of your post in your posted Saturday should be a hook. Now, I wanted to talk about grabbing the eyeballs, but that was mainly by color combination, bright color photograph in the container part of the Hope you need to write something which attracts the eye. Then you should mention the problem you are solving in your post. Except very rarely will it happen that a post with his photographs or images will be completely self-explanatory. Some kind of text is required. I think when that don't put too much text. But a line or two is required to explain the product or service that you're selling. Call to action is important. We're talking about call to action in more detail when we talk about the special principles for text. But even in a post or call to action is important because a lot of times the text of the posters in a collapsed stage, and it's only the immediate which is visible. So if there is no call to action, for example, providing a link where to go and build the service. Then it's quite possible that the person who is a strict opposed may or may not get to know where to go and what to do. And a lot of people are scrolling through really fast and they don't want to explain each post and read it in detail. So your call to action will have to be present in both the non collapsed part of the text as well as on the post. Lastly, tag, not some media allows you to tag, for example, in Instagram, if there are five people in a particular picture, you can tag each of them and say Who's this person. While other media like LinkedIn does not allow you to tag people in a photograph. So if you are using a particular medium, we're tagging is allowed, then use tagging it. So now that I've told you that special principles that we follow her posts, I'll talk about especially principles for texts. And then I'll show you a video in which we'll be covering how could do these things. 4. Special Principles For Text: Now in this video I'm going to talk about the special principles that we follow for creating text for an image. Once again, I will also show it to you in detail in the activity, but he really does talk about the principles. The first principle is about default visibility. So typically in linkedin, even Instagram, you would see that the text is usually collapsed. So you can have 1300 characters to take, but automatically the median will collapse them to do the three lanes. In these two to t lend itself, you have to give your book, as well as your call to action. It's important for you to know how much portion of your post is going to be seeing in the collapsed collapsed state and how much portion will be seen in the expanded state. Second thing is links, the call to action will always, almost always be a link where somebody clicks angle somewhere and it does something that you want him to do. So the link should be easily visible. Don't buddy the link somewhere inside the details of the post, which is hard to find and locate and don't do multiple links because then people get confused, which should I click, which is the real direction. Sometimes you will give a link that I have come to know about this information from that page. But if you want to buy a better thing, go to my site. And now you have two links. Now people, what they'll do is they'll probably click on the first link. So instead of that, use the call to action link tag part of the post variable in the collapsed state. The call to action link is visible to them toting his hashtags. Now who will find your post? If I'm on LinkedIn? All the people who are linked to mean they will get the post on their feet. But what about the people who are not linked to me? So the system of a limitation. But when you use hashtags and we will subscribe to hashtag, then it is possible for those people also who are not linked directly to me to read the post. Know about hashtags. That is a little bit of an art in choosing what hashtags that appropriate. Now, for example, if I want to talk about startups, Then what hashtags should I choose a start up or start ups? Which one is the one which is more used? It is possible to use some other tools and find out what is the most search dome or, or like in Google, people look for more start ups or startup. And in some of the social media, when you put it in a hashtag, they also tell you that how many people are subscribed to this hashtag got how many posts are there with this hashtag? But not all social media do it. So best is to find out in general orders that claim and use your wisdom to do it. But do mentioned that hashtag. Lastly, I want to talk about dimensions. So it is, it is usually possible if you have some space to write some of the names of those people who will be will get notified that you have tagged them in a certain posts. This helps the bones become more publicly known and had a wider audience. Lastly, I'm going to talk about the unique postcard. Not the unique was Scott is once again to align with the algorithms if you're going to post a different image every time, but have the same texts being posted. Once again, the algorithms that we have to find out. And they will say This guy is just re-posting the same stuff again and again, blacklist two. And once again, you don't want that. So how do you overcome that? Overcome by adding a unique string, each shape to a post and that is dark text changing. How do you create this unique string? That's where the password generator comes in. So use of free password generator, create renewed 30-character string added to a post fabric name and algorithms will see your posts with a unique host and not electricity. So in the next video now I'm going to show you how to create a post in Canvas. And also going to show you how to create a good text for me for the posting. Thank you. 5. Creating an Image Post: Hello and welcome to this demonstration of how to create both sway quickly for four hours a month marketing plan in Canva. So the interface that you're seeing is Canva. And I clicked on Create a design and then searched for LinkedIn and LinkedIn post. So now what I'm going to do, I'm going to create a LinkedIn post. Now let me click on this. Now as we had discussed, it is best to use kind of templates which is in-sync with your website or with your brand kit. So I'm going to use a particular template, can walk away with a lot of templates. So I'm going to use this one. For example. This one has the black and yellow effect, which I like to utilize. Now, this is the main text, read it, read it because being seen, so I want to sell something, let's say I want to sell coffee mugs and something unique about the hand being called three months. And I can probably reduce the size and reuse it for fitting into the space. Now, I also want to add some kind of text, which is a supportive texts. So I will say imported from China and South Africa. So this kind of add some gravitas to product. And lastly, I must give a call to action. So, so I can say something like buy from bit, dark L-Y slash 123 B, whatever this is, it's the sample. Make sure your syntax and your grandma is good in this. Don't make mistakes about your grandma gone tick DACPAC lately. Now. So we have got our hook here. We have got some supported description be able to call to action. Now what we need to do is we need to create a changeling here. So this photograph, the mean photograph in between where there's a lady who's drinking coffee and it's being happy about it. This is going to be white changeling. And for each post and doing pertains to lead this photograph. And I'll show you how quickly I can do it. And the important thing is to be very consistent about the team that you have. So let's say we are seeing a person is becoming happy by drinking coffee and outputs. So let's search for photos from left. And it's a drinking coffee. So you can see there are hundreds of photographs available for drinking coffee and distributing happiness all around. So the first thing that I'm going to do is I'm going to make copies of this post. So this post is perfect. Now from my perspective, it will be launched and can level allow you to make up to a 100 copies in one screen. So I'm Irwin be due 100. I'm going to do just stand for demonstration purpose. So all I need to do is click this duplicate page. And with no The third 1456, 789, and 10. So I've got ten boasts law, and I'll start back from the first one. So I want to use this picture for the first one, happy person and for the second one. Maybe this one for third. And the happy person is fought. And then let's go with the smiling guy in fifth, sixth. Okay. And I'm choosing photographs and just dragging and dropping them, one each post. And this is the 1920. And you can see the quality is very good of the photographs. So now I've got 10 unique posts, quickly made an ongoing what like 30 seconds or something. And now I can download all of them in PNG format as a single zip file. Now the point is an order, an order to show scheduling, right. L sure. It subsequently because scheduling is a different task altogether. And if I get a 100 posts, I can just download a 100 posts, a 100 unique posts in one goal. And that is going to help me push it into them, into any of the scheduling systems. Now if you think that all of them can look a little boring because they are all same color. You can change the color in-between. So let's say the last one, I can recolor it from her. So instead of this yellow, I can use slightly different shade if I have more than one rent get, so I have more than one blanket. But it's not necessarily that you might be having more than one brand kits. So this is a dark one. I have to convert this into a lighter shade. So I just convert this also into a lighter shade. So even this one looks good, it looks good. And I can then create more copies of this one. So all the subsequent posts will have a different color combination. And of course you can put photographs. Love happy people, spreading happiness by selling coffee mugs. So now we have 13 and some of them are vocals, all of them my yellow. And I can download all of them. Last single click. So this brings us to the end of how to create a post. So you could see that I was able to create them pretty fast. And I am actually in reality, I create them much faster. But for the sake of presentation, I have brought my own speed to a little slow, but not so slow that you would feel that okay, this processes anyway, very lengthy and long and disturbing. So I think with that kind of midway, you can actually created much faster. My normal speed is to do everything for the post late, from creating it to scheduling it in seconds for each ghost. So usually I'm able to boast about if I pause for a minute. Okay, So this brings us to the end of creation of hosts. In the next video, I'm going to show you how to create a good text for the post. And we'll go from there. 6. Text Creation Demo: So hello and welcome. And in this section, I'm going to show you how to create a post and what are the parts of the post. Now usually I know I've got habituate looks like remember these bikes, my heart, so I just do it straight away in R naught, bright orange, extra editing software. My head, I'm doing it just for your convenience. So these are the five parts of the posts that I wanted to create phosphine be my book. Secondly, we might call to action some description, then my hashtags and mentions. And finally though postcard, which is the unique changing. So continuing from the coffee mug post, rather willing to say and then months from. So this is like my book and I think it is fairly sharp. Then I need to say Call to Action. And I will probably say something like buy at 20 percent in this cone from but not L-Y slash x-ray is z, 12 whatever. So this is going to be my colleague direction. And these two lanes, I'm pretty sure and that I can manage without having them cut off from the collapsing of the post. Then I can write a long description hand, which I'm not going to write here. But I'm just going to write some text just to show you that I'm going to have some hashtags and postcode and hashtags and mentions first. So no head. I'm going to show you how to create the hashtag. So let's go to LinkedIn. So here we are at LinkedIn and we wanted to create, and i'm, I'm in the process of creating a post. So head I will say add hashtag, this hashtag gums, and then I wanted to save coffee. So now these are the ones which are coming up. So maybe I want to say coffee chat and then another one with coffee and the coffee time. Then I want to use the word mugs on sorts of mugs. And then I want to use column because that's where we imported it from. So kind of business is that a good hashtag? And, and so I'm going to keep adding more and more hashtags just like these and say, and thin. And being too and big and hand painted is already there. So I'm getting a lot of support from LinkedIn to understand what hashtags are, the ones which are common and available. So let me just copy and paste them first into the place I was mentioning. Now another thing that I wanted to show you was if you're using Instagram as a matter of chunks and here in this post I say coffee. Then what happens is this also shows me how many posts are there regarding coffee. So these are like 142 million posts. This coffee lower has got grindy million goes, coffee time has not 32 million posts. So I can use these ones also. Because I know that there are people who are actually using these domes. Coffee time. Then again, things like lung. Lung is coming like 7 million posts for the network to say ten been did. And when it has got 10 million posts. So this number also helps me if I have already decided that what is the kind of uniqueness I want to introduce in my post. So there is no harm in actually using hashtags from one social medium to another. Because you must realize that people are eventually the same. So instead, I was showing you the number of posts LinkedIn is not. I don't think it matters much. And lastly, we'll talk about the mentions. So if I have people who I can, I want to share this coffee with. So when I say at the laid-off, some people will come up who are actually I already linked with me on if I can type a name, let's this order. And then somebody else who's also facade up. So these three dimensions come up. So when I post with these mentions, it will be nice. Now it's difficult to have these mentions auto posted, but if your systems allows you is nothing make it. So do try to have them, but you will have to put them at the rate of mentions. Last is the postcode. Postcode is a part which is the unique part of the poster. And this is going to be done changeling. For each force, we are going to have a different postcode. So we go back to our browser, will open a new tab. I use a password generator called passwords January return park neck. So very, very simple. Just you can see a password length is 25060, just too long. So I brought you something like drinking characters, check all these things and say Generate Password. It generates a unique string, I say copy and just paste it here. So you can see that what I have done now is I have created a post which has got a book which will be visible when the posters even collapsed. I have a positive direction, which is a link along with double. We could be shown again, even when the posttest collapsed Africana description, which does not have any more things than I have related hashtags and some mentions which will go as such as they are. And then lastly, the post-school, the problem it mentions here is let the other links. Now, if I copy this whole thing from hair, then I cannot copy it. Even though I can copy the links with VNet posted into Canvas or anything else, that link will go off. So what I do is I use a simple text editor or typed. Sorry. I use this edit record type and it is going to post this whole thing here. No important hand printed coffee mugs from Hannah. Why add 20 percent discount from bit.ly? Now another important thing I wanted to mention about bit.ly. This is in my experience, I do not really know how the algorithm works. But if you write a link with HTTP colon slash slash and then something dot something, then linkedin will convert it into a short URL by itself late lmlk, you did or didn't learn something from something, something. What if you re just despite bit dark least legs distinct without rating the HTTP somehow it is able to by bus direct link sharpener. So I actually prefer this. So I don't write the HTTPS part. Followed is the text, then you have hashtags. And now this is the problem part. That the names, the links actually have gone really. So these names will not work unless again, we can try to port at the rate of debt. And this also works only in some systems and other systems. This doesn't work. So if you cannot protect and just avoided, and this is our postcard, I can lay door, it will support this for your understanding. And every time I'll post, I'm going to use this footstool. So this is what is the whole text now. And I have now copied this on my flight. Good, on my jump cut which is lagged. You're bored manager. So when I press Command Shift V, I'm able to see this entire thing, but I'm also able to see the previous team reject copy and the previous thing, and this was a postcard reject copper. And these are the names that I had copied. So this is how flight or jump cut helps me. And I can just switch between my latest copy it I do. I end the previous ones and posted in the scheduling. So this is how I create the text for the post. And once created the new every time, just like the mean post on the image post. The only bike we're going to change is the change link postcard and nothing else. The remaining marks will remain consistent. In the next video, I'm going to talk about timing and scheduling, and then we'll do a practice run of posting these posts. Thank you. 7. Timing And Scheduling: Not based on the business that you have, you will need to find out which is the best day for you to post your posts. Now these publication of the post should have the highest probability of meeting the target audience that you are. A Google search will be helpful, but some volunteers would also go along.
