In this class, i am going to give you some of the ideas behind the Yoga group class teaching methodology. Learning yoga is different than teaching yoga. When you become a teacher, you have some responsibility to create a safe environment for your students. i am giving you some of my thoughts that might help you in your teaching.

1. Introduction: Hello everyone. My name is Pedro and I'm a yoga instructor in this course, I'm going to teach you some of the strategy which I chose to teach my group your classes. I'm going to share my experience in this class, how to teach group classes. This class is suitable for those who wanted to be a teacher and those who just finished yoga teacher training course and just starting teaching. I think you will find so many good information from this course. Here we begin. 2. Strategies for Teaching Yoga Group Classes: Now, let's dock on the base of the class. In a yoga class, there are many types of classes, some of advanced and some multi-level and above totally beginner's classes. There is a fast-paced class, medium pace glass, and the slope is glass. As a yoga teacher, you sort to understand slope is classes are easier to follow, so everyone can follow easily. The best classes is little tough for the beginners. So as you can see in one group your class, there are many levels of students. Some of the advance and some of the just join one or two month before. And some of super knew the fast-paced classes. You understand. Those who are not familiar with yoga practice. For them, it's very difficult to follow the sequence. So what I do in my class, I always follow my instructions as much you can. But be aware of your own pace. Go out of bread. Take time while you inhale and exhale. No rush. In this way, I give them some absence, some choices. Those who are advanced, they follow my instructions as quick deck hand. Those who are beginners and those who are not familiar with the sequence. They take little time. After the class they fill. Of course, they feel quite challenging, quite hard. But it's still, they feel they have enough time to inhale and exhale and they feel the class is quite accessible. That's the way I teach fast-paced classes. Now, less dock on experience the posture rather than focus on how it looks like. Focus on your breath and take your time while inhale and exhale, you're reading what makes yoga unique? Now, let's talk on some of the specific word which can make students confused. For example, if you take simple this posture decide angle, again. This partial for example, you give all the instructions. And if you feel that stretch on your waist, sometime, what happens is students cannot feel a stretch on the wall waste because they already too flexible in any posture. Sometime some history and they cannot feel that way. They get confused. Whenever you're giving instruction. Be aware of this point. Now, let's talk about dyslexia when you start teaching your classes. Sometimes not most of the time, but sometimes you can find some other students. They have the tendency. They cannot judge. Left, right side. They always get confused. Many shorter. Right side, left side, left side, the right side, one or two time, when you correct these historians uses finding it out, which is strength. Again and again the same thing. Maybe this, they have this kind of tendency is called, I think, if I'm not wrong is called dyslexia. They cannot judge very first, left and right. And if you say right leg front, left leg, front, right, or the left knee, left knee or the right. They cannot just fast. So if you find any student have this kind of tendency, they cannot judge well. That is actually not a rule. We make this right side so everyone have this kind of sequence in mind. Right side, left side. Otherwise, if you didn't upside right side, it doesn't matter. If you find this kind of a strand, if this kind of tendency. Be little careful, do not sound on them. Respect them. Now, let's talk on Yogis. I see your style, what I mean, each teacher have different way of teaching. So you can see sometimes some of the student comes to your class. Those who already know yoga, you're giving them instructions. They will do the same thing, but in a different way. Do not get angry on them because that's the way they train from his or her previous teacher. The sometime what happen? Like a menu teaching like atoms or the head. Maybe you're teaching this way and they will do this way. Because the way they learned before, that's completely fine. Monday practice video again and again. Then they stop this kind of tendencies. Now, let's talk on hands on adjustment. This is very sensitive things, correct? Somebody not for me in my experience, if somebody comes new in my class, I networked touch. Always taught to lie this like this, like this. Then after the class and I talk with them, benefit each other than before, I give the collection after few classes than I ask them, can I do some collection? This is the question some of the students, those who became a teacher, now, they asked me discussion. So I'm going to share some of the questions, answers, video. So they asked me to teach class. Sometimes. We feel classes not going the way we want. It's happened video. Now, you're teaching from a longtime answer is yes. What I do, if I see some students who make noise and disturbing the class, I give them a warning list. Don't do this. Disturbing the class. Second thing, I see the temperature. What is the temperature there? It is good for the other practice. If it's too cold is not good for the yoga practice. So I check their temperature. Number, tired, I check the music system and sound system because I use them like in my class. Because if classes too big, last one is two, I cannot hear what you are talking. I'd set my mic and start coming into the class. I always tell them where to put your med. So I said the mat way. It will be not like this one material, one material, one material. Sometime what happen after a new start your class? Then if somebody's coming inside the class, so they don't have enough space because Matt is not orange very well. Then it takes lot of time to correct the mat and make this space so it disturb the class. As a teacher, is your job, your responsibility? That kind of environment, where they come, they will learn easily everything. That's the reason I always go early in my classes. So I want to start class in the exact time. Now, another benefit when you go early in the class as a teacher. So when somebody's coming, just say hi, welcome them. Sometime because newest event, they have so many fears inside. And some of the students, they're very introvert. Not to open. Enter the class. You just say it will just show this gesture. Will feel comfortable. Sometimes you can talk with them. They say, what's your name? Class before? Just tell them feel free to look around and follow as much you can because this is your first-class. And I want you to just have fun. That's it. No need to post too much. Then after that you can see there feel quite good and they like to come again in your classes. As a teacher, you should know these smallest Mal thinks it works very well as a teacher for new to the Class, Charlie, your students, they will follow. You. Don't need to tell them again and again. Please come on time, come on time. Some of the students, they of course, always come late because of the reason maybe their office and works. Just not with them because of their work or the office. They always come late. So give respect then, be nice with them. Now, let's talk on afraid of teaching classes. As a new teacher. I can understand everybody had to go from somewhere. So I will tell you there's some other things what my teacher taught me. He said, You prepare more, you focus on yourself rather than outside. You will have good experience. And it's true once you have your own sequence, when you have the sequence, what class you're going to teach those sequence when you have in your mind. So 50% you're already confident what you're going to teach. For example, if you don't have good sequence or you have only a half sequence, that it might disturbing you from here, mentally. Do the preparation, what sequence you're going to teach. The second thing, never afraid of fill, just go and teach. Your job is only your teaching video that expedience because you have done your detail. You have some experience. How good is yoga? And you are going to share the same experience with others who are not afraid of people like your class or not. And by the time you will get better and better. Remember, this is a practice.
