1. Introduction and Supplies You Will Need: Hi friends, how are you? I hope you're having a great day today. I'm excited about sharing this project with you. This is a drawing and watercolor painting project, and it is a cute bunny who's holding a Shamrock. I designed this project especially for kids. You do not need to have any drawing or painting experience at all to be successful with this project, I will take you step-by-step through all the steps that you need to take. Let's talk about the supplies and the materials that you will need for this project. The first thing that you'll need is a piece of watercolor paper. You will need some watercolor paints. You will need a cup horrible with clean water. And you will also need a paintbrush. You will need either a black oil pastel or a black crayon and a paper towel. Go ahead and gather all of those supplies and materials. And I'll see you back here in the next video. 2. Step 1: Draw a Shamrock Bunny: In this step we are going to draw our design. So let's get started. Go ahead and pick up your oil pastel or your crayon. And the first thing that we're going to do is we're going to make a circle. Or a circle is going to be about this big. And we need to remember because this is a bunny that we need to leave some ears towards the top of the piece of paper so that there long enough for us to tell that it's a bunny. So go ahead and draw a circle. Make sure it's not a tiny circle. After you draw your circle, what we're going to do next is we're going to make some really long ears. Your ears are not quite as long as my ears. That's okay because different companies have different size ears. Let's put a little bit of detail inside each ear. If you have room and if you don't have enough room, that's okay. You don't need to do that part. Now let's move to the face of our bunny and put some futures. Let's make some eyes. I'm just going to make some circle eyes. But if there's a different type of an eye that you would like to make. Go ahead and make that pie. Now I'm going to make a triangle nose and a little mouth. Little Smiley mouth. Now I'm also going to put some whiskers coming out from the cheeks. All right, The next step is we're going to make a Shamrock down here and I'm going to show you how to do that. The first thing that we're going to do is we're going to come down to just a little bit and we're going to make a dot. Then this is going to be our guide dot. We're going to make sure that we touch this dot when we are making our Shamrock hearts. We're going to put one heart here, one heart here, and one heart here. And adding all of those hearts together, we will create a Shamrock. Let me show you how. So. Remember, we're going to touch this guideline with the bottom of our heart, like this. The bottom point of our heart is the dot right here. Now I'm going to make another heart rate here on this side, on its side. So it's a little bit more tricky. I come up and then I come down and I make sure that I touched that dot again, come up and I come down and I touch that heart. Then I'm going to do the same thing on the other side. So this side of the heart and then this side of the heart, and there's your Shamrock. Now let's put a little stem on the Shamrock. There we go. Now what we're going to do is we are going to have our bunny holding onto our Shamrock. We're going to have a curved line coming down and a curved line coming down. Then we're going to come down here from the bottom. Like this. And it looks like the bunny is holding onto the Shamrock. If there is a place that you see on your Shamrock that you'd like to put some little hands, you can go ahead and do that, but I'm just going to keep mine as is. Okay. Then let's make some little fee. I like to make feet like this, bunny feet. And then what you can do also if you have room, you can put a little tail coming out the back or the side if you'd like to do that. I'm going to skip that part as well. Alright, so we have our bunny, and our bunny is holding a Shamrock. When we come back, we are going to start painting the background with some rainbow colors. And we will also paint our design. I will see you back here in the next video. 3. Step 2: Paint the Bunny: In this step we are going to paint our bunny design. So let's get started. You get to choose the color that you'd like to paint your bunny on, going to paint my bunny brown. So the inside of the ears I will paint pink and maybe even the nose and I might even make some pink cheeks. You get to paint the color that you'd like. I'm going to go for a light brown. Let me show you how I make a light brown. When you want a lighter color, you add more water. If you want a darker color, then you add more paint. But I would like my bunny to be fairly light brown. So that's why I added more water than paint. I'm going to go ahead and do that. Already, friends, I'm finished painting my bunny and my Shamrock. When we come back, we will start painting our background. 4. Step 3: Paint the Background: In this step we are going to paint our background. So let's get started. I'm going to use the rainbow colors. And my colors might not be exactly rainbow colors that are in my paint palette, but I'm just going to do the best that I can and I encourage you to do that as well. So I am going to start with the red and I'm not going to have a really dark, dark red. I want to make sure that I do have some quite a bit of water in that red because I want it to be a lighter red. The reason why is because I want my funny to really stand out and I don't want it to get lost in that red color. So I'm going to paint a red with using a little bit more water than paint. Got a little bit dark there. Okay. So I have a red stripe. And then I am going to move on to my orange. I'm going to use this orange right here and I'm going to go right into the red. I'm going to touch the red with this orange stripe. See how I'm doing that. To jump over those ears. Make sure that you touch the red with your orange stripe so that the colors can blend together a little bit. That's what makes this project really cool and special. Now that I'm finished with my orange, which comes next, let's see. How about yellow? I'm going to move on with my yellow and I'm going to make sure that my yellow touches my orange right here. So it blends in a little bit with that. Now what I'm going to do is speed up the video and I'm just going to keep moving down my piece of paper. And I am going to encourage my colors to blend with each other. And the way that I can do that is by touching them to each other and they will blend. Kind of do their own things. So I will see you back here in just a minute. If I'm finished with my rainbow background, I really liked the way that it turned out. As you can see, my colors are continuing to run together and that's what we want to see. It will make its own beautiful design. I hope that you had a lot of fun with this project. I will see you next time.
