In the first part, the phrases are used in a very fun, interesting conversation. So you can see how these phrases are used in a real conversation and they're real communication. And the second part, actually these phrases are reviewed in different clips and movies. And in the third stage, you can test and check yourself and see if you still can understand everything. So good luck adding many common useful English phrases to your English language. 2. 1 You don't believe someone : Hello, my dear friends. How worry it doing will come toe listen number 16 and other useful and helpful. Listen, that will teach you eight ways to say you don't believe someone. So what phrases do you use when you actually don't believe someone and this? Listen, we're gonna learn, and we're gonna get familiar with these useful phrases and sentences. So are you ready? Let's get a started. Um, already. And I'm very excited to teach you these phrases. Phrase number one. You're kidding, right? You're kidding. This is an informal way used when someone says something surprising or that seems as if it could not be serious or through. For example, he said he lost all the papers you gave him, and then you say You're kidding me. It means that you're surprised on. And so when you are surprised and informal way and you cannot believe something you can see you're kidding. Number two, you're pulling my legs, right? Which means you are lying to me. Mm. So to tease or joke with someone often by trying to convince him or hair of something on through, For example, you're giving me a car as a gift. Are you pulling my legs? Yeah, it was already lying to me. So are you trying to joke with me? I try to tease me, so that's a very nice phrase. Pres number three. That's a bit of an exaggeration. That's a bits of an exaggeration. So it's a slight exaggeration or a bit often exaggeration often use for saying that someone is exaggerating a lot and making something bigger than it's really is. So when you're trying to make something bigger than it really is, you can use this sentence that's a bit off an exaggeration, For example, Um, my brother says, Ah, that I can dance really well, but I reject it and I say, Oh, that's a bit of an exaggeration. He's trying to make it bigger than it really is. I'm not a really good dancer. Number four. He's scratching the truth stretch so stretched The truth means to say something that is not completely honest in order to make someone or something's seem better than it really is. For example, Ah, he was accused off stretching the truth about how much he had helped in the project, so actually he's not completely honest because he just want to make something looks better than it really is. So do not scratch the truth. Guys. Yes, number five he's being economic kill with the truth is being economical with the truth, economical with the truth used ah, euphemistically to describe a person or statement that lies or deliberately with holds information, for example, it was being economical with the truth. That's another useful and great phrase we can use sometimes to speak about. Ah, something that is euphemistically used. Number six, He's a story is fishy. His story is fishy. So ah, so special here seeming dishonest or false. So when I speak about something that seems dishonest or false, we can use the word fishy. For example, there is something fishy going on. Yes, there is something dishonest or falls going on, but I don't know what that is. We can use fishy for people to, for example, Jack, you look real official today. Yes, I think there is something wrong, and you're trying to hide something from me. Seven. That's an out right lie outright means clear, something that is transparent and obvious so you can use outright to describe behavior and actions that are open and direct rather than indirect. For example, it finally resorted to out light to an outright lie. Yes, so that's Ah, very clear lie, and everybody can noticed the last phrase that's a pack off lies. Yes, that's a pack of lies to be completely untrue. For example, the whole report is a pack of lies. Lies, yes, pack of life. Something is completely and 100% on true, so that's it. And these are eight nice, Anton says, Phrases we used to speak about something that you don't believe in or you can believe. Try to understand them and try to use them in everyday English conversations. That's one of the best way you can improve your English, and we're going to use some of these phrases and expressions in real situations. So let's job to the next listen 3. 1 conversations: So guys, we learn some phrases that we can use when you don't believe in somebody. And this is the time we use some of these phrases in real situation so you can understand them better. So here there's a conversation between Jack Hand Saara Subject says, um, pregnant. And sorrow answers. What's your pregnant? You're pulling my legs. That's an out right lie That's an outright lie. It's outright lies a clear and transparent and obvious like so I think Jack is just trying to cool hair, legs, Robin and Lily, Robin says. The truth is that my boyfriend can do, uh, things at the same time. He's talented, and Lily says, Come on. That's a bit of exaggeration. No one can do it. Ah, that's a bit of exaggeration. Which means that she's trying to make things bigger than it really is because nobody can do many things at the same time. May be, Ah, that's talented. Um, situation number three. Rachel and Ted. Rachel says I'm getting married next week. Ted answers. Oh, really? You're kidding. That's really great. I'm happy for you. You're kidding. So you're surprised. So when you are surprised, you can use the phrase. You're kidding. That's really great. When you cannot believe somebody and you're really surprised you can use this phrase. You're kidding. Or sometimes they say you're joking. Yes, that's it. So we tried to use ah these phrases in different situations for you, so you can understand them better. And in the next part, we're going to use, uh, all of these phrases in different movies and clips and see how native English speakers pronounce them. 4. 1 phrases in movies: So guys, as I told you, we're gonna use these phrases in different clips and movies. But before that, I'm going to repeat them for you as a fast review. Your carrot. Be these phrases after me as well. You're kidding. You're pulling my legs. That's a bit of an exaggeration. He's stretching the truth. He's being economical with the truth. He's still really is fishy. That's an outright lie. That's a pack of lies. So let's see how native English speakers pronounce them and use them in their own conversations. Enjoy it. You're kidding? You're kidding. You're kidding. Why do you think that? Usual but you're not pulling my leg. Your volleying by legs off. What does blended idea? That's a little bit of an exaggeration, but I see your point. That's a little bit of an exaggeration, but I see your point. That's a little bit of an exaggeration, but I see your point. Stretch the truth. Well, you are stretching the truth. Sir. I was so I stretch the truth on lead. Something is very fishy about this kidnap. Something about your star is seems fishy. Any told me back allies. Listen, we're going to teach you some great useful phrases for facial expressions. Yes, when we want to speak about facial expressions, there are some capital res phrases and sentences that you need to know. And probably you don't have a lot of information about these facial expressions. But don't worry. I'm here to teach you all of these phrases. So let's start with the first phrase. She was beaming, beaming. She was beaming. Means she had a big, radiant smile and extremely happy. So when you have this big, radiant smile and you're extremely happy, you can use this word beam. So she was beaming. Yes, that's it. The kids were smiling from ear to ear. Smiling from ear to year is another expression to describe a big smile. So if somebody smiles from ear to ear, actually, it describes a big smile. Okay, actually, in these kinds of situations, people are very happy. They small from year to year sentence number three. He looked puzzled, puzzled. So I think you know what? How does puzzle look like rights? So the war positive means a little bit confused. So if a person looks puzzled, he looks very confused. He doesn't know what's happening. Number four, she grinned. Grin to Grady's to smile. However, a smile is always happy, whereas a grin can be used with other emotions like a sheepish grin, which means a person is embarrassed. Or an evil grain, which means a person is malicious or mischievous, is so we can use grain in different situations and for different emotions. Phrase number five. She winced when the doctor gave her an injection. Winds Twins is to get a quick expression off pain on your face. You can wins because of physical pain, as in this example of receiving an injection or emotional pain. Or sometimes we can use it for embarrassment. So in these kinds of situations, sometimes we say that you winced the very nice words, and we can use it in different painful situations. She gave me a dirty look. She gave me a dirty look at dirty look isn't something offensive. It is looking at the person in an angry way. Other ways to say this includes actually charity look OK, dare to look if somebody looks you looks at you in a really angry way. You can say that she or he gave me a dirty look like, for example, when you don't do your homework, your teacher might give you dare to look in the class is angry. Looks at you in a very angry way. If your eyes are glazed over, it means that they are unfocused, as if you weren't seeing anything. People's eyes often glaze over after looking at a screen for a long time. So that's why we say their eyes were glazed over. Why love? Why the long face? Why the long face? You can ask this question to somebody who appears unhappy. It is a playful way to ask them why they are not happy. Okay, so why the long face? This is a very nice American expression, and I have actually noticed this expression in different clips and movies actor and actresses use it when they want to tell people why they are not happy. Why the long face and the last phrase hair expression was unreadable. Hair expression was incredible. Use this phrase when the person's face is neutral and doesn't reveal while they are thinking or what emotion they are feeling. So in these situations we can say that hair expression was unreadable or is unreadable. You cannot understand what kind of emotion they have on their face. So that is the end. Yes, she can find her keys here. You're going to see the two sisters. They are talking to each other. She gave her sister a dirty look and hair. Sister rejected her request. Then her sister rejected her request. So to give somebody a dirty loke means to give them an angry Lok rights because maybe she didn't let her sister plea with this iPad. There's a conversation here between Sorrow and Robin. Sorrow says. Why the long face? Which means why you are very sad, what happened to you. And then Robin answers. John broke up with me.
