However, he builds a great synergy between the three categories because he considers that it is essential for the holistic development of a human being.

For example, what's the worth of business success without physical or mental health? What's the worth of believing in something without the discipline to practice it? What's the worth of living without a purpose?

Those types of questions forged the vision and mission of the author.

1. Introduction: Hi, I'm Jordan Maloney. I'm going to teach you the beautiful language of Spanish. It's going to be an interesting journey because Switzerland, a lot of tools and exercises that will make the whole Croesus easier. In joyful. What we'll talk about real-life experiences, and we aren't going to learn about the culture of different countries around the world. At the end, at the end of this first course, you will be able to meet new people or send your shelf and have a small truck at a coffee shop after old coffee is quite a big deal, a Moses Spanish speaking countries like Colombia. I will also explain the difference between some wars are mainly used in Spain, for example, but not in the rush of the Spanish-speaking countries. I will prepare you for that. You will be able to produce a Spanish with the community and share your own questions and experiences. Now, that's a saw with the first lesson of this course. 2. Meet people: If you were thinking that is Spanish is a difficult language, then you are right because it is hard even for native Spanish speakers like myself. I remember when I was at school and I hate his Spanish class because there were a lot of rules that seem to exit with the whole purpose of being broken with exceptions. Later on, I discovered it out. It also happens with other languages, but it's still spending his house too many variations. Particularly when we talk about verbs that might be something difficult for you to learn. But the good news is that we'll tend to use only a couple of them in our daily conversations. Maybe you have also heard that you only need something like 500 or a thousand words to have real conversations in any language. Well, I'm here to tell you that it is true. Don't be a scar with THE a certain number because there are a lot of simple words like pronounced numbers, prepositions, articles, and so on. Also don't be scared with the burbs because it's a matter of reputation and that's why we will be learning first dose are common like to say or to it. If I were you in your precision, actually I am, I will relax and enjoy the process of learning a new language. Find your own pace for studying, practicing, and most important to avoid a frustration that comes when you set a deadline for a language. I'm telling you because I also felt frustrated when I was unable to remember some words that I should know already. The thought of being behind his castle can be an obstacle eye itself. If you forget a word, then don't worry because it's normal. You just need to keep practicing average angle J. Actually, that's my advice. Don't focus on the deadline or a goal, rather focus on building effective. They would have it because those will take you to the end goal. And effective day with habit is determined by a sustainability and discipline. Meaning that it doesn't matter if you spend two hours of study or ten minutes. What really matters is that you are starting every single day. Some days you will be be easier than others. It's okay if you only have to administer to take to make a fast practice session. Now that I have set a simple foundation, we can now focus on learning new words. Lets us our way. One of the most basic and youth awards, that is Allah, which means hello. This is the most common word in Spanish speaking countries, but I need to warn you that it's more informal than formal. Although you could use it in a formal context, it does send sound as good as how their options in machine. Your entry in a press conference or a business meeting from just say hello. That's not bad, but there's the same time it feels a little bit off. You my router say good morning or good evening, and then proceed with message. Well, it's the same with Spanish. We'll talk about those gradings are more advanced gradings farther along for now, you just need to say, so you can say it to your friends, family, or whoever you encounter, encounter on the streets. For real, I recommend you to start using the Spanish words, even with English speakers. And even if they look confused, although you can just explain to them that you are learning in Spanish. Because it is important that you say it out loud in daily contexts. You can remember it and work on your pronunciation. Up to this point, I haven't been in an English speaking country, but I have been able to learn English under that principle of speaking out loud on every opportunity that I had. You can learn a language faster when you think, speak, read, and hear through that language in our boards, you need to live that language. That's why we all did in order to learn our negative language. And in your case, it's even easier when you start right away with a few words that you are learning. Now, let's continue with our short conversation with complete a stranger. For we need to, we need to learn to say commodity gammas, which means watch your name right away. You can notice a couple of things like the accent mark, which is something I will explain to you later. But it's good to start unlearning them like that. Another thing you might have noticed is the double question mark that is also important even if some Spanish speakers forget to use them. Know, you are all set up to go outside in the world. Start a conversation by saying, Hola Como says, it will be problematic if you are asked that question and don't have any idea how to answer, Let's go over dark. You can answer by saying major MO, which means my name is obviously there are a lot of variations as there are in English, but we will be learning those little by little. The idea is that you will be able to build your own phrases with all those variations. But we first need to build a common basis. If I'm traveling and I'm in the airport, I might get asked comedy gammas. And I will have to say mi amo Jordi, simple as that. In just a couple of minutes, we were able to learn six different words that I've choir is to remember, hopefully we will be able to keep such a progress. Just progress rate the following words and phrases. Anyway, I'm assuming that you are writing the benefits of learning Spanish since you are here, but most people ignore some principles are quite important to make this process sustainable. Let me tell you the first and most essential one. So you can decide you the new journey on the right terms. The first, the first one is about entertainment, meaning that learning a language should be fun, to be sustainable, long-term, and to endure the frustrating stages that will come. As I have told you, do you might get frustrated remembering some words, or you might get frustrated by the pronunciation of some words. That's totally normal. Usual pass that by making it a fun process. How can you make it a fun? Well, thank God, there are lots of great Spanish books you can read or movies you can watch with great job in or music songs or podcasts or games or chatrooms or, well, you get the idea. I started learning Japanese because I enjoy reading manga for me, that's a great incentive to keep learning. I also started following and YouTube channels and Japanese on. I started watching some Japanese movies. The first time I was taught, I started learning English by myself was because I wanted to play some games and use some apps. Thankfully, you can also find a lot of content in Spanish. You can find a great Spanish accounts on social media and on the web. Find a Spanish content that also has English subtitles that you can enjoy. Consume those frequently. For example, we'll go to Google Translate, Translate the topic that you are interested in and use the word to say ash related YouTube channels in Spanish and subscribe to those that have subtitles. Another thing I want to add before we move on is that there is no perfect way to speak a language. Colombian, and I don't even understand that way. Some people, the way it's from people who speaks and make contrary for real, there are regions in which people who speak too fast and merge Schwartz in such a way that it takes me time to decipher. We need to stop being so hard with our shelves, especially if we are learning a new language. Food comfortable with the way you speak, and just give your best to keep improving your pronunciation. Remember that we are not learning a new language to be a language master, but just to be able to communicate with other people. And the reason why will we, why he will keep improving our action so that more and more people can easily understand what we have to say. The kidneys. 3. Nice to meet you: When we are asked a question, it is normal for us to answer an also asked back the same question. When we do it, we didn't ask the full question, but rather we say something like a new. For example, if I'm asked comedy gammas, then I will reply by saying media majority. We do. Here, E2 is a precise translation of and you will be learning one of those words. But from the phrases that we are learning, you can start using some words like E, which means two, which means you. I should tell you that the pronoun EU has two translations in Spanish. First, you have to come on bu, which is more informal, and the word was dead, which is more formal. Nowadays, I seldom use his stead because it can sound a little bit rude. Like you filter PRE or that you don't want to relate with that version. The only context in which I used Orsted whilst as an interpreter, Sal interpreter because I had to deal with different in Spanish-speaking clients around the world and we were asked to have a very formal relationship with them. I have to admit that it was quite hard for me because I was used to using do all the time. I didn't even use stats to express respect with my uncles and aunts are usually called him or refer to them by saying Meteor or deal, which means my aunt or my ankle respectively. For example, if I wanted to know what time he said, I wouldn't say what time is it, but I will say my aunt knows what time is it. Wish in a. Spanish will be media-savvy. Q and A's. I don't know if it's like an old Spanish speaking countries, but I have used it in several countries, although I know that it is not something very common and most people get confused. I recommend you to use just as you would go to as your go-to word. After all, I've worked on many companies and most of them I use. When I refer to my boss. You may think that it doesn't matter if it's just one word, but actually in monitor lot because the burbs change depending on if you use stat or two. Hence, I'm saving you a lot of time by telling you to focus on two. Now I'm also, I also remember that in some other countries like Argentina, they use a third one, which is both. That one is a little bit complicated because it can be used, it can be used differently depending on the country. For example, in Argentina, Argentina, it's commonly used instead of, Don't worry, don't worry too much about it because you are safe by using two on your phrases and you can use it without being rude. Now said that because it seems like in Japanese, you cannot address another person with you because it seems a little bit rude and that's why they add son to other people's names so they can address them. Example, you will have to say, you're the Sun to talk to me. That's just a fun fact to make you feel that spanners is a little bit easier in that matter. Anyway, we must move on with the next phrase, which is about saying, Nice to meet you. When you meet a new person, obviously, you exchange names for that. We say int and title. If you're a man or ink and Tyra, if you are a woman, yes, those are two words that are linked to their respective gender. That's something that also happens which French, Portuguese, and Italian. So it's not just Spanish. I know it's not something common in English or other languages, but it is for a Spanish. You will have to learn and suddenly you will. I will explain that later, but I can give you an earlier hint or an early hint, which is that male wars tend to end with an O while female worst into n, we're done. When I travel, I noticed something interesting, which is that when you meet someone new through a friend or through a friend, our first words tend to be older, millennial, millennial, and Canada, which means high Jordan millennial. Nice to meet you. That is, we don't wait for others to ask our names, but we just give our full name right away. Which is great because sometimes it's a little awkward to us other people's names. I'm going to give you a varnish gender, abundance of gender free phrase. That also means Nice to meet you. And that is mucho gusto, which does the same job. Therefore, I can say Allah, sorry Jordi millennium, which I will still notice that this time I decided to say soy Jordan him away. In the other phrase, I omitted the word soy, which is the Bieber that we burp in first-person. Well, get used to it because we also have meet wars. Windows are obvious. When do you know who is talking? Anyway, I think we know enough words to meet new people. Or the rest of the conversation will have to be only with hand gestures for now. At least for now. It is a good start. By the way. I know it. I know it may seem like a lot of information, but don't worry about that because I don't expect you to remember every single thing. It just to give you a context and to let you know what we will be learning in the future. For now, we'll just learn the simple phrases. And one way of doing it is by having a notebook at hand in which you can write the highlights. It's only spec to learn anything just by hearing it once. For example, I use apps like Notion for my digital notebooks. And then I add the new words that I learned into flashcard apps like Quizlet. I can practice them every single day until those words fine applies in my brain. I also use physical notebooks to write down the words. I don't remember. I practiced by writing them several times as I pronounce them in both languages. 4. Let's practice: Let's take a break from learning new words and phrases so we can practice what we have learned and also to review some things we can do to improve our learning process. Again, what you started with a simple compensation that usual recognized because I'm just going to use all the worst that we have learned already. Let's say there is a conversation between two people, once a male cortical, Georgia, that's me. And a fecal may cause wish I decided to call Hailey and we are meeting for the first time. Called the EMS majority. You do more Haley and condylar in Canto. That was simple and easy to understand. Now let us punch it a little bit. I don't expect you to understand the following conversation, but I want you to experience it now as it will make more sense layer. My main goal by doing this is to exposure to the language for ways. I also have some recommendations at the end. When zs, Windows, ds and get the PO collaborators, MIMO majority empathy throw her in Campania. Only windrow, Alec people, the marketing on this, which you already saw it Haley, conclusive. Gone marketing, which is gaseous. Haley. Well, maybe I went too far with that conversation, but I wonder if you were able to understand anything. Perhaps when I said much of usto gracias, Mixamo and soy, you know, that was a conversation out a workspace on which my character had his first day at work and he was searching for the marketing team and Haley helped him find it. Well, let me try another one, which I will store. So Haley, Welcome to Urbana. Allah, Halley, sorry Jordi, which Augusto. Manner. Since that is turned over k when Obama as Aleve or soloists Nevada Paso on gusto, aware of the economy. This another example in which my character meets his sister colleague. There are several familiar wars there you should be able to pick up. I call HIPAA going with lots and lots of examples, but I think those three are enough. Now let me give you some recommendations about improving your reading and hearing in Spanish. I don't want to be so technical because technology tends to change a lot. But I hope you understand the idea behind each one. For example, search for music recommendations on the languages that I'm starting. And I saved the songs that I like into my Apple Music Library. I use Apple Music because it has many tools to query a smart list to organize songs. But he also has lyrics that are easily accessible and our St, you can follow the song and hear the pronunciation. Obviously it's not the only option, but he is the one I use. And as I said, the important thing is the idea behind wishes to find an easy solution to read the lyrics as you hear the song. Actually affect immunity server on the score on which we talked about music and share our recommendations. You can join through my website. Another way to practice is through movies and series. But you should already know that all the streaming services have a subtitle option and even adopt an option that you can turn on. One thing that I also have done and can be pretty useful is to find social accounts in the language you are studying. For example, as I'm assigning German, I use Google Translator to know how to say Scientific News or just news media to find a topic German science. Then I went to Twitter answers for the respective accounts on I start following them. Also shut out related accounts. And if I liked their content, then I follow them. Thankfully, nowadays most social media have incorporated at translation tool. You can translate their paused by dirt on the spot. That's widely useful because it's more probable that you check those posts if you found them interesting. For example, if you'd like soccer and particularly as you like messy, then wouldn't be cool if you could read messages pose in their original language. Another way I practice languages if through books. Again, do you need to satisfy the topics that you are more interested in? Obviously. For example, I love manga and I had been reading Naruto in English, but since I'm in signing Japanese, I also decided to search for the original mangoes to practice Japanese. Believe me, I was unable to understand a thing, but that was never the point. My goal was to find something that I'm interested in. So I was forced to use a translator and says for all the words and phrases that I couldn't understand. Once you start translating the same words over all the times, then you learn that award. That's how I learned English and thus why I know it works. Let me be clear about it because I keep getting replies from people they want to learn a language, but don't consume content in that language. With this qs that they don't understand that language, but that's the reason why you need to do it. So you can learn the language. How old you will learn a language when you don't expose yourself to foreign language. Take my word for it. Don't wait to have a certain knowledge to expose yourself to real life experiences. Finally, use the language apps are available as blue suit or lingo Babele, Rosetta Stone memorize and any other new app. There might be a usable because they have different focus and strategies and each one is a great opportunity to practice and to avoid the boardroom of using the same app all the time. 5. Introducing a friend: We're going to learn a couple of simple new words that will prove useful in our daily conversations. And we will put them into practice with a short conversation between three people. First, you should know that we can say Como stars, which means how are you. But there's another informal way to say it wishes. Well, I have to be honest because I rarely say it. But I'm assured there are some countries in ways that might be common. It may country that's Colombia, we say Q, which is highly informal, but that's what I tend to use every day. My recommendation for you is to play it safe and say Conroy stars. Since that's understandable in most Spanish-speaking countries, if someone uses any of the older alternatives, then you will be prepared to understand it. Now that we know how to ask that question, we need to know how to answer. But for now we will learn in just one of the possible answers, which is bn gaseous and it means, fine, thanks. Hence now you should know that bn is a perfect translation and use of the word fine, while gracias means Thanks, and that word alone will become one of the most popular worst that you will use whenever you travel. Anyway, as it happens in English, you can say the same thing in multiple ways. But just for now we will cover just a couple of words as a starter kit. Not forget that we can introduce ourselves using the word soy for Louis by our name. For example, Jordy means I'm Jordi. We need to remember that because now we'll be also introducing a third person into the conversation. For that we will say as tias, which means disease, or a more comprehensible translation will be cheese, and it will be followed by that person's name. Although you should know that a star is useful introducing a woman, for example, this is Hayley, will be SIS Haley. Therefore. What about if I want to introduce my friend David? Well, for male subjects, we use S, the S, which also means this is, the example will be a says David, which means this is David. Maybe you have noticed that the difference between esterase and S, the S is just a letter, actually a vowel. Well, get used to that because we tend to use different words according to gender and it is usually just a matter of a vowel. You will find that we, Spanish speakers are not the only ones who do that. Italian, French, Portuguese, and other languages do that too. Hence, by Lenin in Spanish, you will have a better understanding of other languages alike. Let's say that I want to introduce my good old friend David to another person. I know, then I will have to say Miami or David, which means this is my friend David. For that we can learn a couple of new words like me, which means my. And they are so alive that you can easily remember them. Although we will be talking about shush determiners in the future, the older war will be a meal, which means friend, but this word changes depending on the gender. It will be amigo for our male subject and Amiga for female subjects. Finally, let's try to rub it up or wrap it all in a conversation between Jordi does me, Hailey and David, majority, Haley. Haley, SAS mi amigo, David, ink, and tau it'll move in E2. 6. How are you?: We have seen a couple of ways to say, how are you like como, which is the most common expression in Spanish being in countries. But it's time to check a more formal way to say it, which is Como star will state that is the formal version of you. And we tend to audit in the conversation to make it sound more formal. It's level of formality is usually used between employees and clients studies in the business world, you may find it in other contexts, but it's not that common since it can make you sound gold. Anyway. Now that we know more about that question, let's learn more ways to answer. We can reply by saying more bn, which means very well. Or we can say regular, which means so-so those two answers are common and frequently used when we don't want to be a specific arable. But in case we wanted to say something more concrete, then we can say cancel if you are a man or can solder if you're a woman, it means tired. I'm sure we all have experienced tiring days so you can save this world for those days. Do you remember that we talked about how in Spanish we change vowels to be gender specific? Well, that's an example of that. Actually. Here's another example which is a stress Otto as male or as three-sided as female, and it means stressed. We will talk about gender variations in the future or usual, already get the idea of how those work since we are going to start using them in our sentences, I'm going to give you two additional awards so you can be more expressive with those answers. The first one is OCO, which means a little. And we tend to use it as a way to sound less worried or make something sound less dangerous. For example, on poco in fermata means I'm a little sick. It sounds less worrying than saying a story in thermo, which means I am sick. You can go farther by Shane unblock Edo, which can be translated as a little bit. If we use the last example to compare intensity, we will have a stream or ketone firm o, which means I'm a little bit sick. That sounds less worrying. I think those are the first worse we have then that can convey emotional meaning. I mean, you might be sick and yet say empathy to him, fair MO, so you're familiar, doesn't get worried. Hence, it's mostly used to portray the severity or intensity of something. In the future, we might learn award transformation that can convey less intensity, which is of common use in some countries like my own, that is Columbia. Now, let's practice what we have learned through a conversation. All are highly. Go in SAS Studio in poco, a stress, it will Joe. You can sell. 7. Singular verb "estar": In Spanish, we have two different verbs for the verb to be. And those two words mean different things, such towards our sehr and a star. We have already used them in sentences, but we will learn them better to know how they change with age pronoun, I know it could be or it can be confusing. We're going to start with a verb estar, which will be used to express how people feel. For example, we can say, let's click on cell, which means I'm tired. In that sentence. Estoy is the right verb for the first-person, and that's a good example of how to use it. No bad example will be to say, joy still York City, which could be translated as I am Jordi. But the problem is that a story is not the right verb for that context, since it's suburb to express how you feel a note, who you are. Hopefully. In that way, it can be easier to know how different those two Spanish verbs are of the Y's. We're going to have, well, plenty of examples to practice. Maybe it could be too much, but I also need to tell you that the verb estar As all the applications, although we are just going to focus on expressing feelings, our design. Let's review the pronounced so we can learn how this verb changes with H1. We say, Joe for, I do, for you and for HI, in Asia for sheep. It's also important that you remember how it's written with the accent mark over the vowels. I'm not going to explain the reasons yet because it's too much at this point, but it's essential to write them properly since it can change your meaning quite a lot. Now, let's add the verb estar. With those pronouns, we get Joyce DOI, meaning I am stars, meaning you are el estar, meaning he is an AGI stat, meaning she is. There's not an exact translation for IM. There's a way we shorten our expressions in Spanish, which is by omitting the pronoun went, It's obvious, for example, if we are having a conversation about David, then we no longer need to say David or even he uses a verb estar, since it's the verb for the pronoun he. Hence, I'm going to share with you those equivalences between the Spanish and English. We have a steroid that is equivalent to M stars for your IT staff or he's and estar For cheese. Let me be clear about this because it's not that a steroid is an extra translation of time. But we tend to make such a translation to give the idea of shortening the expression. You should know that most times we don't do exact translation, but rather we search for equivalencies that can convey the same message. And that's why really matters. In a nutshell, you need to remember the three variations of the bird, of the staff, which are estoy, stats and estar. 8. Pronoun for "you": So here we are again talking about the pronoun you, which I have mentioned many times as there are several ways to translate an English Spanish, for example, Bosch and state. Although I'm going to explain the key differences between the formal and informal variations. We use to talk with people we know well like our friends and close family members, but we use UCSC instead to talk with clients or the people or even our enemies. The full model or noun, who's dead implies a certain level of distance with the people you talk with. That's why we might use it with people we don't like. Well to use that formality in a lot of respectful contexts. For example, when you made this and family members, then you talk to them with respect, have to warn you that it can make you sound too distant and cold, which might be uncomfortable in some contexts. Usually dog the person would say something like MIP, well is to TR shows you have permission to use two instead. The phrase MIP ways to TR is an invitation to informality. And the keyword in that sentence for that meaning is a word, book, the F word to remember that word, since it's not that common, we can say that an analogy in some contents could be, sir, I said is used to express respect and authority, which is what happens with Orsted. I used to think that in Latin America, commonly used to because I had a lot of informal conversations over that a workspace. And then I was told how we are the ones using Orsted more frequently done Spanish people. It turns out to be true, which is finally because I never thought about it. I guess it is because we use it in we use it all showing non-formal circumstances. As with people we don't like or when we are having a heated discussion. Anyway, it's good to know. By the way, even though we usually omit the pronoun when it is obvious, we can still recognize that formality out of the sentence since it's changed depending on who's dead. And two, I can say, which is informal or MIP where they pass al-Assad, which is formal. That translation of both is, can you pass me the sound? Are they formality changes even more exchange just by adding one data which is ds on the word wireless. Don't worry about that because that's a little more advanced and we will have time to learn more about it. For now, you should get a general idea of how important a letter could be on how we feel you can change the tone of your message. But most importantly is that you now know the difference between Westat unto, let's probably with a couple of conversations. The first one is a conversation between three people. You should try to find out if they are strangers or if they know each other. All right, Jordi, how much does movie and we do bookie. Ovn. Is that a smear, MIGA Paola, Apala hay in the usto. Haley, a well-maintained. Take your time to understand who are the strangers and who are the friends. Well, now, let's see if you were right. We have that Georgia on Halley, our friends, and that Georgia is present in powder to Hayley. It means that George damp Aldo or friends but Halley unpopular, are meeting for the first time. Now let's check a formal example that can apply in different contexts, like when you talk with your manager or with your doctor. And my window cut myself said movie in Garcia's, you sit between gracias. You can notice that both are using the word was dead, meaning that it is a formal contexts. Actually, there are a couple of new words at the beginning that are relevant in a formal contexts. So let's talk about them. Those are Senor malware, new, meaning, Mr. Madoff menu on which model and you use the last name actually, it is my last name. I said hoppers in English, we use the last name informal contexts we will address two people own to address older people. In a nutshell, we use two for informal contexts and who stead for formal or cold contexts. 9. Plural verb "estar": We have seen the singular verb conjugation for the verb estar. That is a steroid for Joe, it stands for two and a staff or or am I know it already seems a lot, but we're going to keep learning them step-by-step. That's why now we are going to learn the plural verb conjugation for the verb estar, which are another three words. Before we get into the conjugations, we need to know the product of pronouns which are nosotros. Nosotros meaning we will sort rows or both sutras, meaning you and yours are AES, meaning day. As usual, no, the ones with the overreaction referred to the male version while they're a variation refers to the female version. Hence, the male plural pronouns are nosotros, vosotros, and while the female pronoun pronouns are no sutras more shorter us. And AS we tend to use the pronoun, Asia's when we are talking about a group of men. It also when it's a mixed group of men and women. While we use AES, when it's only a group of women. If you decided and then all the languages, then you will notice that some gender-related rules similar to this one. It's useful to remember those. Anyway, as we have learned a parole pronounce, we must add the respective conjugation. Therefore, we are will be nosotros estamos or nosotros estamos. You are will be both sort of cystitis or both saw that as his eyes. I'm finally they are will be your system or a justice. Then the good news is that The pronounced gender changes are based only on the vowel variation. But the bad news is that now we have a total of six very conjugations that we need to learn. It's a good time to have a strong side and system, which in my case consisted of having our flashcard system and a space repetition app notebook for writing repetition and taking recurring tests. There are a couple of apps that can help you with all of that. For example, the one that I use the most is Quizlet, where it has all of those options and even more. My recommendation is to take your time on. Don't worry if you forget award or make a mistake because that's part of the process. The key here is to work on those mistakes. I know that it can start feeling overwhelming once when you start learning more verbs. But let's be grateful that list those conjugations are not gender specific. I will try to give you more examples and exercises to dilute the difficulty helped you naturally incorporate, incorporate those words. I must say that I didn't learn English grammar first. Every time I needed to talk or write in English, it was out of how it sounded in my mind. I mean, if a word or sentence didn't sound right in my mind and it was because it was wrong. I could do so because I have had a lot are lots of large of English conversations and I want to say what to pick them up unconsciously. Later on, I started learning more about grammatical rules. I was able to improve them. But in the beginning, my language proficiency was wave, was based on auditory memory. In any case, let's review the new three conjugations. We have, estamos, stylize, and Stan. I wanted to make a parenthesis to give an off-topic recommendation which is about taking notice of any word, detail like workups or action Marked. Since those e-journals can change the meaning. Hence, I will try to be more careful about them, and I will try to mention them from time to time. Let's practice what we have learned with a few examples. Let us try to recognize the gender out of the pronounce. Nosotros estamos Gonzales. Homeostasis authorise a geoscientist. Know short-run system or be it, in a nutshell, all the conjugations we have learned, our story starts estar. Estar most is dies. Yes then please remember that it is the verb to v, but when it is used to express a feeling. 10. Coffee time: Those are big coffee culturally, most Spanish speaking countries in Colombia, it is quite a big deal. Even more, most casual unprofessional meetings in both a cup of coffee or a beer. It's something useful to know. The coffee shop, you can make your order by saying your Quito, which means I want followed by whatever you want. Or you can say army, which means for me. But this is usually said after someone else made their order. If we are at a coffee shop, then we might say own cafe solid, which means a black coffee. Or in cafe con lychee, meaning a coffee with milk, it is also common to order something to eat, nothing complicated. It can be on Sandwich, which means our sandwich, depending on who we are meeting with or why we may ask for one else. Had Raisa, which means our beer. Of course, there are a lot of other options, but let's just start with whom? Cafe solo on coffee can let j own sandwich. And when I said Wait, so we're going to learn ways to use them in conversations. But before we do that is important to notice that meaning behind what the meaning might change depending on the country. The great coffee as an example, because in Spain it is called Cafe solo. In Mexico it is called cafe, while in Colombia, we call the window. This is tricky when you are traveling even for Spanish speakers. Because when Peruvians come to Columbia and they asked for affair, thinking about black coffee, they receive coffee with milk. There are a lot of instances in which that happens, and it has happened to me many times, but we learn about it. And sometimes we'd get filing storage. In the case of coffee with milk, we have that in Spain is called Gothic unlettered. In Mexico, it is called latte, while in Colombia we call it coffee record, or being dial for a sandwich. We have that in Spain. It is called akathisia. In Mexico, it is daughter, while in Colombia edits a sandwich. You will already know that in some countries we have adopted English words. Sometimes we make small changes. For example, sandwich is the same as serious reading in English, but with an accent mark in the bowel. From my experience, you can learn the vascularization of the word because most people we understand it even if they use other words. Hence, let's check those new words we have learned. We have your Quito, ARRA me and if I solo, cafe con Luigi, own sandwich owner surveys or you can play it safe with all translation in most countries, although I recommend you to ask just in case. Now, let's put those words into sentences and interpret our own sandwich immune Duffy unit or by HMO. You'll get on book KDIGO portfolio. There are sentences that we never use because stores are not common in our country. But if someone uses them, then we will understand what it means because we have heard them before. It does Y and mentioning all of those variations. Finally, let's review a conversation between two friends and a waiter. When OCS, although Duke of ecologic portfolio, but I mean on cafe solo own bokeh usually kinematics will go use your color Maurice, see is that we need to see you all. 11. Plural "you": We have learned that the plural version of the pronoun you is also true sample sutras, but that's not the whole truth. It's aversion used in Spain, but it's not usually used in the rest of the Spanish speaking countries. Don't worry about having a lot of variations because well, there's a version that is well used everywhere. That's what we're going to talk about here. But before we do that, I need to explain the first two versions. We have that most short rose is used for a group of men or a mixed group, while both sutras is used for a group of women. In Spain, we use poststrata rules or both sort dress for informal contexts and with people we know well, for example, we can say nosotros estamos moving, you will show truth, which could be translated as we are pretty well and you. Another simple example with a female version will be guitar size. Meaning how are you in rural female sense of the sentence, although we don't use any of those two words on a day-to-day basis, we might be able to understand why you are saying, after all, we learn it at school. I remember that we had a linguistic class in which we learn a lot of this managing hydrogens, even when we no longer use them. Actually, I've noticed that a lot of the Spanish rules have been changed by that right, which is a Spanish Royal Academy. If you didn't know. The right, is the official entity that established the rules for our language. Spanish. Anyway, my point here is that you can say poor shoulder rolls or bushes and we'll be able to understand you. But my recommendation is to use steadies inset. Why? Well, because it's just one word, because we use it in natural America and even in Spain. The difference is that in Spain they use it for, for most circumstances like in business or with all the people, older people. Meanwhile, industrial America, we use it in formal contexts and informal, formal or informal contexts. The reason why I recommend you towards stay this is because it seemed blur as it works with male and female groups of people. As a Spanish speaker, I have been adopting words from different in Spanish speaking countries that I consider shown better, make more sense, or that make it easier to communicate an idea. I do the same with English, in which you can find better English words then American words and vice versa. For example, I prefer to write color, tan color with a division of you bubble. Why? Because it's simpler and does the job. Well, my point here is that languages change and adapt to the people who speak to him. You can relax and try to learn the variations that will help you the most. Let's end this topic with a couple of examples. A simple recommendation to improve your pronunciation wish, since of repeating the words that you hear. Stories or short stem, maybe he will shorter us windows, the US Commerce anastomosis. 12. Next steps: We have learned several wars, so they're carrying. Now we can mix, I'm Bill, quite a lot of sentences actually, those are the most common wards because we use them in different contexts. We all show, got used to hearing or Spanish sentences and conversations, which is important to create some G23 memory. Along with the A1 level, we will be improving our auditory affinity. In other words, we will be improving upper pronunciation by recognizing specific always changes. Anyway, it has been a great first impression of Spanish and now you can have a better idea of what it will be like to learn this language. My recommendation for you is to use flashcards or the quiz lab, which is great. So you can practice all the words we have seen. I mean, before you continue with the next A1 course, you need to take a couple of days to practice, each worth practice the pronunciation, underwriting. I know a lot of people who are in Sasha hurry to learn a new language or language. Today, learning with a bull grammatical knowledge, they forget the accent marks. They don't care about the right bulb conjugation and so on. It's way easier when you learn a language that right way from the very beginning. And thus why I keep saying that you need to follow your own age to make things right. Another important recommendation is about building habits that are not about the quantity or quality of the habits, but rather about the discipline. In other words, I don't care if you only study five minutes unless you do it every day. The most difficult part is not just study, but to do it every single j, hence, achieving your goals will be just a matter of time. For example, this course took me almost three months and I finish it thanks to discipline. The reason why it took me so long was that I'm also per pound or complete A1 set of courses. I said book out a book and I unify course. As you can imagine, that's a lot of work. And I was able to do such a thing by finding a sweet spot for my daily habits. But if I'm recommendation before you continue with a Spanish, a one-point too is that usual practice is Spanish with the other students, hens send me a message and I will add you to our community.
