1. Introduction: Hi, in this course, I will teach you how to
sell digital files on Etsy. I've been selling on Etsy for
over three years now and I made over $150
thousand in sales, including my pre-comp, the
master, and my digital stores. So this can become a great
passive income source. Who is this course for? This course is ideal
for graphic designers. But if you're using
any other software or tool like Canva, for example, you can sell
these designs on Etsy as well, but you'd have to know
what you're doing. My objective in here is simple. I want to teach you
everything that you need to know in order to be
successful on this platform, including how to do proper SEO, how to find winning
products or designs. Optimal pricing is file formats, store examples and so much more. You can sell
anything from fonts, designs to social
media templates. You name it. You can just
think of anything that you can design or do and you
can sell on Etsy. Etsy is a marketplace, so it is similar to Amazon, but it's way easier to
sell products in here. Why is that? That's because
it is a handmade marketplace. People are using
this marketplace in order to find tools
for their crafts. So they will search for your
design or whatever you're offering in order to use these for their own personal projects. So if we're ready to
get started on Etsy, be sure to check out
discourse as I will cover everything in order to
become successful in here. So that's pretty much it. See you in the course.
2. Creating Your Etsy Store: Hi, and welcome to the course. Now in this course, I will
go straight to the point. So this way I'll be efficient and you'll
understand everything easily. So first off, going into.com and create
an account on Etsy, I will click Sign-in
in here register. I will input my e-mail address. You can use Gmail or Outlook or Yahoo or whatever you
want. It doesn't matter. Everything works. Alright. Now you'll go on the top
right corner, right here. And I will click
on sell on Etsy. Get started. All right, I will skip this. This is just for statistics for Etsy, so it doesn't matter. I'll skip this as well
and start your shop. In here. You'll select your language, your country, and
your sharps currency. Prefer currency should
be US dollars because your prices will be shown in US dollar in your
shops dashboard. And this way it's
easier to change prices so you won't have to
convert from euro to USD. So you know the exact
amount will go for USD. Here I will enter
the Sharpe's name. Just think of a name. It
doesn't matter that much. The main thing that matters
is what you're selling. So if the designs are good, you're gonna make sales anyway. So I'll just put it in here. Sorry for the background noise. Alright, so I'll
just select in here, we'll have to add like
our first product, right? So here I will just select the preview
picture for the product. I already made one. So it will look
something like this. This is how you'll have
to create your preview. Preview photo for your listing. When you add a design
that you want to sell, you will have to add
the thumbnailing here, and so it should look
something like this. Now, you'll have to
enter the title. I will show you
exactly how to do this properly with SEO and all that. Right now, we will just add this product quick because
that's how have to edit. When you first open a shop, you will have to add the product. And I'll just write
tests in here. Who made it? I did. What is it a supply or
tool to make things. When did you when did you
do make it made-to-order? Actually know how
to select the year. Made-to-order is for
print on demand. So in this case I'll
select the year. And here we'll type digital. And we drawing and illustration
digital, this one. Alright, we can skip for
this, it doesn't matter. And in here, we have
renewal options. What does this mean? When you make a sale on Etsy, every time you will have to pay $0.2 to renew your listing. Because once we make a sale, your product won't
show on Etsy anymore. So in order to have it
show on Etsy again, you'll have to
renew your listing, so you'll have to
click Automatic. This way you won't have
to do this manually. And each time you make a sale, the product will
renew on its own. And in here, at type, we will select digital because we're selling digital designs. And in here you will have to write the description
for your product. I will show examples from other stores so and what
you have to type in here. But for now, we'll
just type test tags. I will show you
this one as well, but as I mentioned, we will explain this in another
section in this course. For now, we'll just leave
it empty like this. And for pricing, I'll just
type 199, for example, Quantity 999, which
is the maximum. And digital files. In here you will have to
select the design that your customer will
be able to download once they made a purchase
from your store. So I'll click Upload File and I just added the PNG and SVG, but I don't think I did. Yeah, it's just a
PNG. I just select the PNG and I will
save and continue. And this was pretty much it. Now, we won't add more
listening. Right now. We will go for this afterwards, and we will click
on to this later. And now here comes this part. You will have to enter your
info, individual or business, whatever way of whatever
way you want to run this, usually individuals
should be enough, especially if you're
selling digital designs, you will need a
business for this, you should be able to report
your income easily this way, but it depends from one
country to another. So select whatever you prefer. Country of residence, just electoral country,
firstName, lastName. All these important
here completed. And afterwards you'll
have to select your banks location and
select the country. And you will have to
input the bank name and all that information you can
use on online bank as well. So you can use
something like transfer wise or even revolute works, but don't use the virtual cards. They are not accepted
only physical cards, but the easier way would be
to use a normal bank account. Alright, so I will go for this, I will complete these fields in here and I'll get
back really quick. Alright, so once you do this, you will have to verify
your ID as well. So in here, in here we
will select our country. In my case or mania, I want to select the ID type or the verification
dial that I want. And I will select id in here. I didn't pick
guard, choose file, and I'll select mine.
Save and Continue. What should work. Okay, I forgot to
click this one. In here will have
to click on turn on 80 payments, visit
payment account. And right now we'll have to go back because that's
how it works. We'll click on our shop
manager on the top-right. Again. We'll have to confirm
our email address and I'll go back to my email inbox. Just refresh it and it should
show confirmatory account. Confirm. Alright, are set for this. Just refresh the page. And in here we will have to add our credit or debit
cards for payments. So I'll do this and I'll
get back to real quick. Alright, so now we
will have to verify our account or to activate to the steps on an
authentication for it. So in here, we will
have several options. There is one more option, but I will have to zoom out. So I will place
our birth control and my scroll wheel down. And this way I'll zoom out and I will see that there
is one more option. We'll select this one
authenticator app. You'll have to
download the app from Google Play Store
or the App Store. So I'll just click Continue. You can just click on
one of these so you can have an idea of what you
have to download first. So I will go ahead on my phone. I'll click Continue in here. And I will scan this QR code with this app. So
it's pretty easy. We'll just have to open
the app and you'll see a plus button in the app. So let me go ahead and open it. Alright. I'll scan it right now. And afterwards you will see
that you will have a code, a six digit code in the app, and I will just enter it. So we have 295389. And these will be the backup
codes for your store. You should save this because
if you forget your password, this is an easy way to
recover your account. It won't matter to me. I won't save those because this will be just a demo account just
to show you how this works. But just so you know how
these codes are for, so we just save them somewhere. So I'll click on
Open your shop now. Continue. And there you go. Our shop is now opened. So this is how our shop
work looks right now. We've designed that way. We added previously. I'll just click on Edit shop
in here on the top-left. And now we can add
the banner, the logo, an announcement location, and some more
information in here. A short story about our store, the members that are
currently in our store. So in our case, it should be us or someone else if you work with
someone else as well. So I will just go
and click on banner. I already made one. I
will select the beak Banner option because
it looks better. I'll click Done. And I will select the
banner that I did in here. So just a simple one. I just wrote
high-quality designs for your Crafts by three or more and get 20% off
commercial use aloud, you should type this because
a lot of people will ask if they can use your designs for commercial,
for commercial use. And if you did them, they should be able to use them. So yeah, that's why I did it. I will show you exactly
how to set this up for the coupon codes in order to offer them discounts for
free or more purchases. But for now, I'll
just click Save. And we'll choose
the logo as well. I already made it, so I
have it somewhere in here. Alright. So I added
my logo as well. Location. I will select my country. Save. Here, I can write
an announcement, or this is the job description. The announcement is somewhere
on the bottom in here. Probably skipped it. It's in here. We will add that afterwards. So I will say, welcome to Digital infinity. Your home. Hq designs. Pretty simple. Right? In here we have a featured
area to highlight listings. So for example, if we have some bestsellers are
some good designs, we can just add the first four in here so
they can see them. You can add more than four. So this is the limit. You can choose up
to four listings. You just click on this one and you will have them in the list and
you can select them. And that's pretty much
it. You can remove them, add them quite as 2s. Alright. Something else, shop
announcement in here. You should, as they say in here, you should just add your offers. So you can say special deal by three or more
and get 20% off. You can write something
more than this. I just wrote this demo. This way. They have the
announcement in here and in here as
well, right? Okay. In here can add some
photos of your graphs, but this is not our case. You can add some pictures we view making a
design if you want, but it doesn't matter that much, so many people do not use this. Actually. In here we can add a
story about our store and why we started and
some short description. This is not the monster again, but it adds some extra
flavor to our store. I won't write anything
because this will take time and I just want to be
efficient both for you and me. And if you want to add,
this is pretty cool. You can just browse further
stores and see what they did. And you can come with your
own idea around the web here. If you want to add your
social media pages, you can add your Facebook page and other socialists
as well in the future. For example, if
you want to create your own website
with these designs, you can just add your website in here and grab the traffic from Etsy to your website and
drive the audience in there. Alright, sharp members. You should add your
self in here and just add my own owner. Customer service, designer. You can add some more
description in here if you want, but I'll just click
Save right now. Faq, you can add this as well. For example, some people
don't know to use TTL fonts, for example, to the IR format. And they have no idea
how to install them. You could just type
customer in here. How do I install fonts? And you inherit can type an
answer and explain to them. And you can add just questions like these
and they are quite, quite easy to add in here. So, yeah, we just have an idea. And in here you don't
have to add anything. Just leave it like this. And that was pretty much
it when it comes to editing the front
page of your store. In the next one, I will
show you how to add more listings and we'll
explain the dashboard as well. And we will talk about SEO and more in the
upcoming chapters.
3. Understanding Your Shop's Dashboard: In this video, I will explain the dashboard of our Etsy shop. So we will go in our shop manager here in
the top right corner. And in here we have the following buttons,
Let's say that way. So here in the dashboard, we can see our
traffic for today, yesterday, last seven
days and so on. In here we have the
active listings. So our active products
that are currently listed, the ones that are
expired and sold out. This won't be the
case because we will set the availability to quantity to 999 and we can
change it whenever we want. Here on recent activity, we will see our latest activity. This means who
favorited our products, who bought our
products and so on. You should also download the Etsy seller app that is available on both App
Store and Play Store. And because it is quite
useful and you'll get notifications every time
when you make a sale. And you can also chat
with the customers. You can do a lot
of things on it. Now we have the listings
button in here. So from here we will
always add new products. So we have the
adolescent button. So if I open this in a new tab, we will go through the
same procedure that I went when we created our store. So at the picture
video if you want, but it's not the case because
we sell digital designs and not the product title
and everything else. So everything in
here is the same. Everything is the
same. The only thing that I forgot to mention when we created our
stories that we have a filled in here saying
personalization. So basically in here, we can just check this one. If you want to make
personalized designs. We can just type the
instructions in here. So for example, type your
desired text that you want to have in a
design like this. Alright? And they
will just see this, this field and they will
type their desire to extend. You can just modify the
design and then send it to them via e-mail or
something like that. You can choose this as
optional or as mandatory. It depends on what you, what
you, what you want to offer. Alright, so that's
pretty much it. When it comes to
ending on this thing. It's pretty much the same
that we did previously. So something else in here. I also have some stores as examples that they
want to show it to you. And I will also place the links in the
description for this. So what you can do in
here, for example, you can just click on this, select the listing
editing options. We can change the title,
tags, descriptions, prices, personalization, and also
the section, four sections. We can just create them in here. So we can have like, let's say, Valentine's
Day, Christmas. So you can just make different categories
for our designs, right? Thanksgiving and so on. You've got the idea, let's
say cancer awareness, autism, I don't know. Somewhere. I'll just type five. Alright, and we can always select the listings that we want to include in that category. And I'll just select this
one because it fits. And I'll just click Apply. So this is something that
you can do in here as well. We can also click on the wheel. You can copy this listing. So we can copy all the
settings that it had, all the texts and everything. And just have a easy way
of adding a new product. But it doesn't matter that much. This is more efficient when
you sell like t-shirts, for example, because
you already have the Filter selected
and everything. And you can just
change the tags, the picture, the title,
and the description. It should be the same. But this can be useful as well. So you can just copy this one. And we will have a duplicate. This one will be
already filled in. So we will have all these
sections already filled. And you will only have to change the description if you want to type something
else for that design, for example, and the tax
and the price as well. And change the digital
file that you will have to upload. Can use that as well. If you want to duplicate them, maybe you save some, a few seconds, but it
doesn't matter anyway. So this way you can do in here and you also have
the Renewal button. You can also renew listings
that are already active. So basically each time
you add the listing, you'll pay $0.2 is the fee. If you pass renewed
on an existing one. This will help you with SEO
and you're listening will be, let's say we'll rank a
bit higher because it is considered as if you made a
sale or something like this. And it will help you
out, but you shouldn't waste your funds on renewal. Select this, but this is
something that you can do. If you have a high budget, then you don't care spending
just a few dollars for this. Okay? So here we have
the Messages tab. Here you will receive
messages from your customers. We also have the auto
reply option in here. For example, if you want to tap on auto reply message
like let's say for example, you are not available
at that time. Just type something in here
and tell them that you'll be back with a message. We've been asked hours,
something like this. You can just use it
for specific purposes, but I rarely use this on
my print-on-demand store. And for digital files, I don't see this quite useful, but you can use it. Alright, so here we have
all those in shipping and just click maybe later
on this tutorial. So you basically have new
and completed orders. You will never have anything in here because we don't
send physical products. So basically when
someone places an order, they will receive their fire right away and they will be able to download it instantly. So you will see the orders in
here in the Completed tab. And you will also have some
buttons on each order, and you can just refund
them and cancel the order. If some issues arise and they contact you that they don't like the design or that they bought, bought that designed by mistake
or something like this. This situation's happened
but are quite rare. So in here in the
star sellers section, you will have a batch. So you can get this badge
by achieving these targets. So 90% higher response rate, minimum average rating of 4.8, minimum of five orders, and minimum of $300 in sales. So once you reach these, you will get these badges
and they will basically help you get more sales because people were
just visitor sharp, but they will like it basically. And these will offer more
trust in your store. So here we have some
examples that I opened, and maybe some of them
will have these badges. So this one has
the rave reviews. This one has pretty
much all of them. So it has a star
seller badge in here. As you can see, once you meet all the requirements
for all of these, the customers will be able
to see all the badges, including the star seller one. In the style section. Here you can just
see the visits, the orders conversion rate
where the traffic came from, Etsy search, marketing, SEO. And here is the ETC ads part, social media and direct traffic. So the visit that you are bringing and the visits that Etsy is bringing
to our store. So basically, we will use at the ads and I will explain
a strategy afterwards. What you can see in here is the views for a
specific listing. So we will have an idea of how much traffic that specific
listing is bringing to. You will also be able to see the search terms for
each specific listings. So that means what keywords are people using in order
to find your listing? You will have the search terms somewhere in here and you'll
be able to click on it. It doesn't show in my case because I just opened the store. Yeah, that's pretty much it. So in the finances section, here, we have the
payment account. And as you can see, this is how much we have to
pay towards ETC. Right now. The funds that Etsy
has to send to us. So this is, will be our
balanced basically. For example, if you will have some spending stewards Etsy, those spendings would
be deducted from your available
balance so you won't have to use your
credit or debit card. As long as you have a balance, they will just take
it from this balance. So in here, we have the
summary of our stats. So we have the sales
and what we spent on marketing and the Etsy fees. So basically, what you should
know is that Etsy charges, I mean, VAT on your behalf. So if you leave the
European Union, they will just charge
the VAT for you, which is 90 per cent. So you should keep that in mind. You will have to pay for it. And you will see the invoice in here on the monthly
statement tab. Right now. It won't show
because I just open the store. But right in here, you will have an option
to download the invoice for the VAT and you will see all the fees that you pay it and everything will be
in this invoice. Just select the month and you'll be able to
download it from here. This is the only invoice
that S is offering. So in here in the orders tab, He's not giving us any
invoices for our orders. So if you want to make invoices and start a business
or something, you'll have to make the
invoices on your own. And she doesn't give us any
invoices for our orders. The only invoice
that we get is for the fees that we have
to pay towards, ETC. Alright, so we have
of settings in here. You can just change the deposit schedule
for your balance. So basically when you start, you shouldn't change
this to everyday, but it won't matter
anyway because there is a threshold that
has to be reached. So it's 20 Euros or $20
depends on where you live. And once you reach that
threshold, they will send. The amount that you have
to your bank account, you should change it
however you want. You suggestion just every day. If the threshold is met, they
will send you the money. You want to pay
more or less fees if you select any of these.
So it doesn't matter. Here we have the bank details. You can just change your
bank account if you want, but it shouldn't be the case. Your shop's currency can
be changed from here. If you want to
change to something else, you should do so. But you should just
keep it in US dollars. Because if we go in the
listing step in here, as you can see, we
have the price in USD, but if we change it, we will see something
else in here. Then you will have to convert the currency, your
local currency, to USD in order to show
the price that you want in USD for your store
because people would just browse on annual 0, your price in US dollars. Because like most of the buyers from Etsy are from
the United States. So keep that in
mind and just leave it as is on US dollars, right? Legal tax and information. If you start a business, you can just change
all this in here. But I just suggest you
just don't bother of this and yeah, just
leave it as is. Alright, so in the
marketing section, in here, we have different
options. Search Analytics. Here you'll basically see search query means search terms. So keywords, you'll basically
see what keywords people use in order to
find your products and your position for
that specific keyword. So you will have an idea of your ranking for that
specific keywords. I rarely use this. It doesn't matter that much. It just just so you know how things work and what you're getting for your
keywords and such. But you should just
focus on Etsy ads. So basically, let
me see if it works. Usually doesn't work when
you just started your store. So I will try a few times, I'll write it to work
now, get started. Drive more sales. Next,
select the budget. I'll just select $1.
It doesn't matter. I'll just show you
how this works. So here we have managed
advertised listings. So just click on this
and here we will see are products that are
currently advertised. So I'll just disable
this one because I don't want to run
anything right now. I just have a random
keyword so I won't get any traffic anyway.
This is the views. How many viewers who are
at God, how many clicks? Click rate, orders, revenue, how much is spent on these ads? And ROAS, which means
return on ad spend. So for example, let's say
this product that they added in here had the
price of 199, $2. So for example, if we spent like $1.5 on the ads and we
make a revenue of $2. Etsy will also take $0.2 for
each sale plus 20 per cent. So we are basically breaking
even if we spent 1.5 and we get back 1.5 because ads will take the amount
that I told you anyway. So you won't make
any profit this way. You should always
calculate this. So the ROAS should be
somewhere around two. Because if you
spend $2 to get $2, this would be one. And if you basically, let's say you spend $2 and
made for, this would be two. So the return on ad spend
should always be at least 1.5. So make a small amount of profit for that specific
listings listening. So I recommend having
two or higher. This is where you know, you are profitable for that
specific listing. Else you're just
wasting your money. So just run the ads for a specific design
for like two weeks. If you see that it
is not profitable, just turn the ads
off and don't waste your money and try
advertising something else. But they will tell you about the strategy in a later video. This is basically how it works. Keep in mind of the ROAS
or just look at the stats, how much you spent and
how much you made. Because the actual amount
that is shown here, which made is not accurate
because as you all take 20% plus $0.2 for each sale
that you make, you make less. Instead of $2 revenue in here, you will make 1 for
sample like that. So keep that in mind. Alright, here we have
the sales and discounts. And as I told you, I
will just open the story in a new tab in here. And I said that I added on an offer four by three
or more and get 20% off. How do we set this up? So basically, here in the
sales and discounts section, we have run a cell, this one, we'll just select it. And we can offer
20 per cent off. And we will, this will
trigger based on quantity. So when someone
purchases X amount, that is when this,
say will trigger. So we will just set the
duration for this cell. Let's say we will set
this up for one week. The coupon code, which will be automatically activated when
this condition triggers, which means a minimum of three items placed in
the, in the order. Q will just type
the coupon code, which doesn't matter,
is just for us, if we offer this to someone, it grew work only when
it meets these criteria, but it will trigger
automatically. So this doesn't matter. You create coupon
codes differently, and I will show it to a different button
here on the right. So I'll just click
review and confirm. Confirm and create. I will just refresh this one. Now. Here we have the
cell that is active. And this will trigger always when these conditions
are met that I told you. 20% off when you buy a free
items. That's pretty much it. And the period. Now, you can also make
a simple sandwich. For example, we want
20 per cent off. You don't select any minimum
in here. If you want. We just go for a week again. I'm saying like 20
per cent of designs. Just click Continue.
And we'll select the listing and Create. And now if I open my store
again, just to refresh it. As you can see,
it's already saying eligible orders get 20% off because they already
made that sale. But it should show the
new one and say 20% off. So as you can see here, the price is higher and that's because the VAT is
included in the price. This will only happen
for European customers. So if you are from the US
and you are watching this, you won't see this
inflated price. It's only for
European customers. Alright? Here you can create a
coupon code separately so someone can use it if they type the code, when do
you want to check out? So we can type like 20 per cent. Again. I'll just
select the period. Here is an example. So if 20, I can say
like, thank you, 20. And I can give this
coupon to them. Once they make a
purchase from our store. We can do this one easily by. We can also create these ones which are automated, automated. So you can just click on them. I can create a thank-you coupon. And when someone places an
order and buys from us, they will get this coupon so you can set it up
this way as well. Thank you. Ten, you should
always make these, but they are rarely used. So that's why I don't
bother with them. Can sound like abandoned ten and favorite ten and
create these offers. These are all automated. And this one that I just made, which is facing this
one, thank you. 20, 20% is a bit too much. You should just offer ten
by this is just an example. I can just go into Settings. So we have two more tabs. You shouldn't bother with these. These are like extra apps that S is offering any
integrations if you want. We will use Iran, which is for SEO, and I will explain
everything in a later video. But for now, I just
want to show something. We can go to settings
in for an appearance. In here. We can just change
like the announcement, the shop title, the banner,
logo, and whatever. And you can just change the message to
digital buyers in here. So for example, we
can just include the coupon that we
made for 20% off. And I can say, Thank
you for your purchase. You can use the coupon
code. Thank you. 2420% off on any future
orders from our store. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us. Second type,
something like this. And the coupon code is
now mentioned in here. They can just save it, type it on their
next future order. And this way, you encourage your customers to
buy more from you. I'll just click Save. And now we have this
post-purchase message. You should always add a
message after your purchase. Alright, something else
that I should explain, let me see if it's anything
important in here. Just just so you know,
Etsy will automatically. So we have off-site that
will automatically, as you can see, advertise your products on
different platforms. They won't do this all the
time because they have like a lot of customers, like a lot of stores,
tens of thousands of stores that are
opened on Etsy. And they can't do this for
everyone at the same time. So for example, if you have a product that is selling well, they will just give you more
traction and we'll advertise your products on different
social media platforms, as you can see in here,
and other websites. So they will charge you
a 50% add fee for it. Once you make a sale. Sale, this would be basically
like cost per purchase. So you don't have to pay for
cost-per-click on anything. Once you make a purchase, you will pay for the for that specific ads that
got you the sale. So you can see the
stats in here as well. Stop promotion and so on. But you should just
leave it as is. These don't run on a daily. You won't pay per-click
like co-pay with ads, the ads which will
have to pay daily. I also recommend as
a starting budget, you should have at least $300. You can start with as
low as $50 if you want. But I said 300 because you should have money
in order to run it. You should start with
ads because this way your products will rank, Hire and you'll get more
traffic as a starter, because it's very hard to get
sales once you start off, your store will be
at the bottom of the page in the search results. If I'm getting on
Etsy right now, let's say that I'm searching for a design bundle
for Father's Day. So I'm saying Father's
Day design bundle as VJ, which is the most popular
format for designs, usually as the J and K and J. So as you can see now, I can find a lot, a lot, a lot of results. So basically, the first results that are on the
first row, our ads. So everyone that has
their product in here did it by paying for ads. So this is how you will get
traffic in the beginning. Because as you can see, all these other
results are organics. And you will see
some words in here. So you basically
have two rows of organic traffic and then you have another row of bailouts. And this thing repeats
forever like so. Yeah, it's pretty hard to get in the first top results
when you start out. That's why we should
start with ads. And overtime. As you drive more traffic
to that specific listing, it will get higher and higher
in the search results. So that's how you should start, start with ads as always. Oh yeah, that's pretty much
how the dashboard works. And it's pretty simple. I think. If you have any questions,
you can just email me. Email me, but it's
pretty self-explanatory. So, alright, I'll just
go in the next video. In the next video, I will
talk about SEO and how to find winning niches with
great traffic and so on. So, yeah, seeing the next one.
4. How to do SEO - Titles & Tags: In this video, I will show
you how to do SEO properly. So basically we need a tool and this tool is called E rank. So we will go on e rank.com. In here, we will click
on Tools, Keyword Tool. And here we will input the keywords that we
want to search for. So basically, we have this
totally will find the titles, tags, keywords that
have potential for us. So for example, the
design that we have added in here is in
the autism niche. So for example, if we are
typing autism as V G in here. Sorry about that. Let me just turn my phone
off for a second. All right. So as you can see in here, after I typed autism SVG, we have the metrics for
this specific keyword. So these are some
ideal metrics in here. So what you need is a high amount of traffic,
hi click-through rate, and low competition
because this way you have more chances to expose
your actual product. In here on the bottom, we also have the most popular
tags used in this niche, as well as the
average priced price, excuse me, the
listings that were analyzed for this
statistics and so on. So how do how do we
use this properly? Basically, if we
want to search for the best title and the
best tags for our product, we can just input the exact texts that
we have on our design because it is most likely
somewhere else as well on Etsy. For my design in here, it is saying Be kind. So if I just inputting
here be kind SVG, I will get some matrix because
this is a popular design. And we already have our
researchers clicks, click-through-rate, and the
competition is very low. So these are again, some good metrics
for our product. We will have the average
price analyzed and everything else as well so we can know
exactly what price to adjust. But I will tell you that the
best price to start with as a beginner when you
sell a design or a bundle, even, you can just
start with 0.99. So not even $1 under $1 because
this way you will expose your product easily
because someone will have a reason to buy from
you as you are selling. It's very cheap and
this is a way to start. So when it comes to titles and tags right
now we will just scroll all the way to the bottom here where it says top listings. And in here we will have this specific design that is
being sold by somebody else. Most likely, we will just
sort them by daily views. Because this way, we know
that we are going exactly to the products that are ranking very well and have
the highest traffic. So the products or the listings
that have the highest, highest traffic are obviously
selling the most usually. So as you can see in here, this is a bundle of B bundle. It's different from our product that I have added in here. But we can see the price. We can have an idea
of what the prices, this is a bundle so it's more
valuable than our products, have just one design
and some other prices. So if you just want
to sell one design, you should go for
$1 or even 0.99. So what we will have left, or what our profit will be
from that is $0.6 because HE will take 0.24
realistic the product, and another 0.2 as they take 20% of our actual product's
value when we make a sale. So we will make 0.6.
It's quite low. But in here we will make
profit based on volume. And I will show you
some other stores as well that are doing
a lot of sales, hundreds of thousands of sales. We have a very low price, but if you add a lot of
good products and bundles, you will make a lot of sales. So now let's go into inputting our keywords and our title. Let's see h1 tags. So I will just open this and click Edit, and here are just
open the product. I will just make a
side-by-side windows. I will just drag this
here and this one here. We won't go down. And we will input
only the keywords that makes sense to
our product, right? Because we don't have the
exact identical design. They are similar,
very similar in pretty much the
same niche almost, but it's not identical. So this one is
actually pretty good, I think are nice,
a bit different. We kinda, kinda works. Let's see. This one is pretty much, I think this is the best one, but it doesn't have that
many keywords in the title. So in the title you should
put as many keywords as possible because this
will help you as well. Your product would
be found easier as long as you have
as many keywords as possible in the title. This will help you out
because you can see these examples in here
and how they do it. They just add as many
keywords as possible. So I will just do it like this. I will just copy this title because it can work
with what I have. And I will just remove what doesn't make
sense to my product. This one honeybee doesn't make sense with my
amine. It does. I can just live it. But I will have to add some extra
keywords because my design is related to autism
and these ones are not. So I'll just type in here. Be kind autism, SVG, and the others should be fine and I will leave
them on the way. There. Should be good. So now I can just go down
here for the description. I will just write demo
description for you. You will find it in the
description of this course. So please check that
out and just copy this. I'll also show some
stores and some links for these tours so you can check the stores and how
they are doing. And I will also open the links and show you
some examples just the same. So in here, I selected the section already for our
autism because it fits there. And for the tags, I will just input
the text from here. And I will write some. Just use some common
sense and you can just write some tags
if it makes sense. So I can just type B autism, SVG be autism, PNG. And these are the
most popular format. So we should write SVG and
PNG pretty much every time. Let's see what else
he has in here. So I can just type
B cricket files, autism awareness,
SVG be sayings, SVG be cut files. Our input, this one. Okay, this can work. Honey bee, SVG. And we have a bunch more. Let me see what else
I can get from here. B quotes, SVG. Svg, maybe someone
will mistype it. Right? What else? What else? Let me say B vectors. So I can just grab these tags from the top results in here that have
the most traffic. Just sort them and choose
whatever you think makes sense. Actually, if the design
was identical to mine, I could have just copied every single time that
the top listing had. But in my case, it's
a bit different. So it's the same design, but it's for autism. So it's not identical
with these ones in here. So I have to type some
extra keywords in here, mentioning autism and autism
awareness and all that. So let's just add a few, few more without copying
something from the competitor. I can just type Autism
Awareness Month. So long. Autism month that
can work as well. And I could just, as you can see, I have
the title in here. I can just copy the title and included in the
description as well. This is a new practice
mentioned by t, So you should manage mentioned the same keywords
in the title or the tags in the
product description, as well as this will help
you with keyword density. So basically, the
more times you are keyword is being repeated
in your product, the higher the chances
are for your product to appear even
hiring the results. I will just write
extra tags in here, paste it, and you can
pretty much do this. So basically, I would
just publish it now. And it should be good now. Your title should be
something like this. And we already added the tags. And the only thing that we
have to add is a description. I will write a description for you so you can just copy it. But I will show you
some stores right now. So let me see if I remember
that one correctly. So halloween bundle,
it was something like this and I know that I
found her store this way. And this is it. Heather Roberts. She is one of the best seller, the best sellers on Etsy when it comes to digital designs. So she has 500 K sales
and look at the prices. $1.1 dollar for pretty
much everything. The discount that she has for 70% of this is just
for aesthetics. So, you know how this works. There's never
actually a discount. These are pretty much fake. It's human psychology
and that's how it works. So she's making quite a bit by selling a commercial license. This is a great strategy
as well for you. So you can just add a
design scenario store. And if someone wants to use them for commercial use, there, we'll just have to buy the
commercial use license from you and you make way more
by setting the license. So as you can see, 260 designs, a full
bundle for $1. That's an insane value. So no one will
avoid buying that. If they see this product
i then a they need, and they need a
bundle for Halloween. They will obviously
buy it for $1. This is insanely cheap. So yeah, that's how
you pretty much at the tags and the title, you just use a rank
to find those. There's always a better
way of doing it. You can just pay for the
membership and you will find the best tags ever with the best amount of
traffic and add those. But the method that
I'm showing you works. I've done this for
my print-on-demand store is the same thing
with digital files. It doesn't matter, it's
the same principle. So we can just sort
them by daily views. And you can obviously take
the best performing tags from your competitors as long as they are similar to
what you're selling. So just copy this from
your competitors and you should be good to go the
titles and the tags as well. And you can also find
winning niches in here by using these metrics that you have, the
average searches, click, clicks, and
the competition, you should always aim for high traffic and low competition, and that's the best, the
best choice you can make. So let's just type on,
Let's see, Halloween. Oh, no, back-to-school SVG. Because this one
is still trending. The competition is huge, but this doesn't mean
that you can sell. As long as the searches
are very, very high, you do have a chance
of making sales, especially if you start
using Etsy ads as well. So, yeah, we will also have the matrix shown, the
average price as well. It will load and the
bonus popular tags. And when we go down again, we can just go in here, sort them by daily views. 47 daily views for it in 19. So as a matrix, as a metric, everything that has over 15
has potential as a niche. So if you find anything
that has 15 or more, let's say this one, for example, I will just open it. I'll just click on it. And Outlook see on Etsy. And this is pretty
much a bestseller, I think it is. And now we can also
find another store. You can just go in their store, see what they are
selling in here. Over 20, over 20 over 20. So this, the maximum
metric over 20 people have this in their cart is the
maximum that you can have. These products are
setting a lot right now. So you can have an idea
of what they're selling. And you can also
make designs that are in this exact niche. You can just make them similar and just don't make
them identical. In the next video, I will show you how to
identify copyrights, and this will be a pretty
easy topic to understand it. Seeing the next one.
5. Copyrighting & How to stay safe: In this video, I will show you how to identify copyrights. Before uploading
a design on Etsy, you should always research that specific design or phrase if it is
copyrighted or an ad. So you don't risk your
store, because on a t, If you get multiple strikes
in a short timeframe, your store will be suspended
forever and you won't be able to make a new
account ever again, there are some tricks to
make new accounts on Etsy, but I won't go into that as it is against at his house rules. So I won't go into
anything like that. So basically, how do we do this? So for example,
I'm just going to distort that I showed you
earlier that I found. And we could just go and select a random
design from here. Let's see something,
we've some text on it. So let's say this one for
example, cousin grew. So I can just type in here, cause and crew search. And as you can see, this design was trademarked, but the trademark expired. So if it expired, this means that you
can use this design. Now, when this appears as live, you cannot use this design. So you can just see
the design that was trademark for this.
It was quite simple. You can always make
a different one. So if we just type,
if you just click, excuse me on this
number in here, we will just go to
the official website for copyrights and
trademarks in the US. And by clicking on goods
and services in here, you will see exactly
on what type of products you are not allowed
to use this specific design. So as you can see, it is pretty much not
allowed on merge, but it is allowed
on digital files, but you won't be able to sell
the design. That's obvious. You can just make
something similar to this and this is expired anyway. So if the design is
expired, as you can see, data abandoned in here, it expired like three years ago. So you should be good
to go if you want to make a design
similar to this one. And if we can just search
for something else, it works pretty much the
same with everything. Are just input a design that
I know that is trademarked. Let me see. If I find something else. I will just input the
one that I want to show you, which is this one. And this one is live
and it's a text. This text is text
is trademarked. You are not allowed to
use this text anywhere. If you mentioned it,
either on a design or if you mentioned it in
the title or anything, you won't be allowed to do this. The owner, if he finds your design that is
being sold on Etsy, they will just strike strike you and you will have a copyright
strike on your account, and that is not good at all. So just avoid these situations. Use this tool which is very useful and you should
be good to go. It comes to checking if a specific design is
trademarked or not. Do not try to sell designs
that are from movies. Even if a lot of people
do this, if I just go, for example and search
for Nike as V gene here, we will find plenty of designs. This is not the way to do it. They are doing tons of
sales and they will make a lot of money
in the short term for like a year or so and afterwards their store will be gone. So that's not a
good way to do it. It is your own
choice if you want to do this, but you shouldn't. There are plenty of designs
that can be solved on Etsy and you shouldn't
focus on doing this. You'll get banned
very, very quick. So they will most
likely survive on one year and even more
if they're lucky. And then their store
will get shut down and then they won't be able
to sell ever again. So yeah, this is pretty
much how it works. Just sell what the others are doing and you should
be good to go. Yeah, see you in the next one. I will just show
you some examples.
6. Store Examples & How to find Winning Niches/Designs: In this video, I will
show you how to find winning designs and some store
examples as well for you. So you can just find
somebody designs easily. So basically, we can just
search for a specific niche. I just searched for
the Halloween bundle, SVG in here, and we have
some results as you can see. Now, how do we choose and how do we know which ones
are selling the best? Where it's obvious, you can see in here that the
products are being sorted. So the first row is for the ads. These are advertised products at buyer to seller in
here as you can see it. So these ones are organic, the ones that are
being ranked highest, obviously the first designs, everything in here
is a bestseller. You won't see the
bestseller badge or the popular now badge, which are both great indicators of something that is
selling very well. You won't see these. If a specific store has a
discount in this store, this store has a sale of
going for 70 per cent off. So it won't show
the best seller or the popular now badge because
it has this thing in here. So this doesn't mean that
this isn't a bestseller. It's obvious that
it is being sorted based on the sales
that they have because it's ranked very high. This is the first result, the first organic results. So if you just open it, you will see that this
one is a bestseller, even though it doesn't show
because it has that sale. So you can also see how many
reviews this product has. So basically, the
amount of sales that she made is at least timestamp the reviews that
are being shown in here. Because statistically speaking, one in ten people will just leave a review
for your product. So yeah, She made out
of cells for this one. So another way of
finding winning designs is by going into
their store afterwards. But you can just let us go into the store first and then I will show
you another way. You can just go into her store, but she has this sale
running and you won't know exactly which one is
being sold very well. You can just go
into the reviews, sort them from newest. And you will see in here which designs are being
shown frequently. If you see some designs
being shown frequently, it's obvious that design
is selling very well, but she has a lot of
products and this is pretty hard to
tell right now. So she has over 2
thousand designs. So in this case, we'll just avoid this. We can just go in the
search results and get it, get the designs from here
or the ideas from here. So the first one is
that will show and that are not advertised like
these ones in here. You will see the first row
with that is it is advertised. The other two are not. The third one will be as well another two rows that are
not advertised and so on. So you can just search and find winning designs by looking for the popular now badge,
the bestseller badge. And another indicator is the over 20 people have
this in their cards. So I will just click on this
one as it is a bestseller, our click on the store. And in here as you can see, she has a lot, a lot of great selling designs. So this is another metric. Over 20 people have this in their cart. This is the maximum. So this means that
these bundles are selling extremely
well right now. Can just create designs that are in these specific
niche as well. Take inspiration from here
and you'll be good to go. I'm pretty sure that
this story is very new. I have a feeling because
it has two designs. So yeah, April. So in like two months, she made 2000s sales. So that's a lot, That's a very, very good metric. So even 50 designs, but she knows what
she's selling. So pretty much designs that
are trending right now, Halloween bundles and
everything like that. And this is a great,
great choice. Again. You can just keep the story in mind or just search
for it in here, you will find it and you
can take a look into it. So this how you find pretty
much winning designs. Just look into the stores. Ssi, check the metric, the overall 20 people have
this in their cart metric. If it doesn't show is because
they have a sale going. If it if they don't have a cell going and you don't see
anything like that. That means that they don't have many great selling designs. So just go search
for our nation here, just search for another one. Back to school, for
example, bundled. And I will find plenty
popular now, popular now, even if it advertised, if you see this batch, this means that it sells
really well right now. So here are the organic results. We can just open them and they
are obviously bestsellers. This one is not, It's
a new store I think, but it's ranking very well. It might be selling goods
as well. Let's see. Nope, but it is
ranked quite well. Yeah, it's a new store. I'm pretty sure. This one is a bestseller. Again. Going to store. Take a look in here. Yeah, So he has a sale going
so you won't see that. It's hard to tell. I
will just close it. Move to the next one. This one doesn't
have a sale going. Open it. And take a look in here. August 777 or some other designs that he is selling right now. We can just go into a historic
and we will find plenty, yeah, a good model, another one, another one, and so on. So it is quite easy to
find winning designs. Just avoid copyright, even though some people are
selling copyrights, Barbie and so on and whatever. Just don't do that
and play it safe. You will find a lot
of things that you can do in order to
make great sales. So, yeah, this is pretty much it when it comes to finding
winning designs. This is how you do
it. Quite easy. Look for the bestseller badge, popular now badge over
20 people have this in their cards and these
are the main indicators. So you know exactly what designs to make in
order to make sales. So seeing the next one.
7. Etsy Ads: In this video, I will talk about the strategy and
how to run it yet, and how to read the
matrix and so on. So I'll make this quite simple. You should use, at least, you should use $10 a
day for 50 listings. So for example, if you want to advertise 100 products at once, you should add like $20
per day as a budget. So basically, let's go back. I will change the budget
here, for example, let's say that you
want to advertise 50 listings just to
make this symbol. And we will set a budget of
$10 per day for 50 listings. So if you aren't a $120 and
so on, You increase them. So $10 per inch, 50 listings. So let's say you
have 50 listings, you advertise them, you select these 50 listens in here.
You enable everything. And basically you let
them run for two weeks. After two weeks, you look
at the metrics and you see exactly which listings have
a ROAS of at least 1.5, at least those who
have a ROAS of 1.5, just let the ads
run up to a month. If these ads are sealed, profitable after one month, just let them run,
don't stop them. Then afterwards, you
can just go on Etsy in here in the search bar and you will search
for your design. So basically, let's say
that's mine design, which is be kind SVG. I searched for it and
I will be able to see it here in the top
rows after these ads. So if my ad, if my product managed to
reach the top page in here, there is no point to run the ad for that specific
listing anymore. So you will just turn it off. As long as we managed to rank that specific product this
high, then you can just stop. Usually this happens
in a month or so. So if this happens,
stop the ads, then keep the ads running for a different product and
you just rinse and repeat, this strategy is pretty easy and that's how you
rank your products. Your products will rank
based on different factors. That is clicks, favorites, orders, keywords and tags. And you should also something
that I forgot to mention, but I will mention it now. You have to mention the tags
in the description as well. So basically, I will
just edit this listing. Copy the text from here, all the keywords I mean,
in the description. After you write the
normal description, you'll just type at the end extra tags and
just mention them. Again. This will have four
ACO is something that adds implemented recently
and they mentioned this, but it's a basic role. This is keyword density. So as long as you mentioned the Keywords Everywhere
else multiple times, this will help you
out for SEO as well. Then you just click publish and you'll save these keywords. Use this strategy
that I told you. It's pretty easy. So $10 per 50 listings
for two weeks. If it's profitable and run out, run it up to a month, then search for these products, natural advertise that
are profitable and see if they rank well after
one month on a team. If they rank well, stop the ads, run yet for something
else, rinse and repeat. And that's pretty much it.
8. Conclusion: Last video, I just
made a short recap about the course and the main key points,
Let's say that way. So file formats, the
most popular file formats sold on Etsy
or SVG and PNG, EPS, DXF, ai, and JPEG, I recommended as well. So you're going to
miss out on sales. When it comes to Etsy fees, a total charge you $0.2 for each sale plus 20% of
the product's value. So for example, if
you have a sale that a product that's worth
$2 and we made a sale, you will get a profit. Profit of $1.4. Even though this is a lot, there's no other platform
that offers what else is offering in terms of
traffic and ease of use. When it comes to pricing, you should sell your
products under $5. Consider starting with a low
price like 0.99 per listing. Even, even if it's a bundle. There are huge stores
that are selling with such prices all the time
and are making a lot. I will show you some
examples as well. So please keep in mind to check the description
and the resources that I will attach
for this course. Because in there you will
see other stores and you will see the examples and their prices and everything. And you will see
that some stores with hundreds of thousands of sales are using a price of 0.99, even for bundles that have like hundreds of
designs in them. So yeah, you make money
by volume basically. Alright, so when
it comes to SEO, titles and tags, use a rank in order to
find your keywords. As I showed you, do
not overthink SEO. It's not a big deal. Just mentioned the keywords
that are relevant. And take e rank as an example because it
will show you exactly the keywords that
are most popular for your specific
niche or product. Search for keywords that have high traffic and
low competition. These are ideal winning niches, like the autism example
that I showed you. What to sell. Bundles are the best choice as everyone is looking for the
best value for their money. Individually designs
are good as well, but they act more like fillers. Have more products
in your store. Don't know what designs to make. Look at the competition and
makes something similar, as long as the design is not
trademarked by checking it on Tim Hunt, you
should be good to go. Don't forget to add an FAQ
for your store by using the store examples
that are linked in the description
strategy and adds. Use SAS to test your designs
if they're good or not. Start with $10 a day for each 50 listings that
you want to advertise. If you want to advertise
100 listings at once, then you will need a
budget of $20 per day. You can use less abundant, but the metrics won't
be that accurate as the budget will be spread too
thin across the listings. After running the
ads for 14 days, which listings are profitable? You must have a ROAS of at
least 1.5 to be profitable. Keep the listings that were profitable running for 30 days. If they are still
profitable after 40 days, search for them on Etsy and
see how high they rank. If they are on the first page of results within the
first four rows, stop the ads for that specific listing as they are already
doing good organically. Now, if you notice
that the sales decreased after you disabled
the ads for that listing, just keep the just keep them running as long as
they are profitable. And repeat, that's pretty
much the strategy. Every time you add a new
listing and you want to advertise and test it to see
if it's profitable or not. First sales and reviews. At the beginning you will
have no sales and reviews. So I recommend telling
a friend to buy something from you
and leave a review. This will give you a good start. Do not try to buy
from your own store. You will get banned. So never tried it. It's against at his house rules. And this will get you
back to 100 per cent. Conclusion, become a
successful Anansi is not, is not hard when it comes to
selling digital downloads. If you're a good
designer, you can easily make one key per month, but you will need
to have hundreds of designs editing your
store to achieve this, or you must be lucky and you
must have great tastes and design and everything would
be sold off really quick. That would be ideal. They're not run it yet. If you add less
