Transcripts

1. Introduction: Welcome. Hi, I am Nabu. I like to explore and teach about Nuance. I like to draw, design, and create. In this first class, I'm going to show you how to make this quick brush repeat pattern in Infinite Painter App. Infinite Painter app is available both on Android and IOS devices, and it can be used on mobile, tablet, and iPad. This app is free to try on Android. Why this app? The best thing about this app for drawing patterns is the app automatically draws the pattern on set coordinates. You will see that in a bit. 2. Canvas and Navigation: When you open the app, you are shown the screen with Canvas options. Select the pattern option. You can choose to select portrait, landscape or square for this class and selecting a square of 3,000 by 3,000 pixels at 300 DPI. Now, if you want to change the DPI, you need to switch to inj, edit the DPI value 144-300, then switch back to pixels or if you require working in inges, that works as. After selecting create for your chosen Canvas size, we arrive at this screen, since many of you joining this class might not be familiar with digital art apps or this app in particular. So let's quit know the navigation. On the left side of the screen, we see the to pray. From the top. First is the brush icon for accessing the brush panel. Second is a hand icon to paint by finger. Third is eraser, tap on the icon to change the eraser brush. Fourth is for brush size, angle, and blend mode. Fifth is the color palette icon. The last icon is to adjust the opacity and flow. For layers on the top right side of your screen, tap on layers icon, as shown here in the video, to open the layers panel, to add a new layer, tap on the plus icon. Just like the Procrea tap on IRS, you can use two fingertap to undo the previous book and three finger taps to redo the last book. 3. Brush, Colour and a tip: For this pattern, I have used two brushes. From the charcoal brush, I'm using charcoal stick and from the sprayers brush I'm using flex. You're free to experiment. You can go with a different brush. These are the colors used for the pattern. Before we begin drawing our pattern, I would like to share a tip. Always draw each element on a new layer. If you're drawing a flower, draw the center petals, stem, leaves, texture, shadows on their separate layers. This helps when you want to edit, recolor or redraw an element. 4. Drawing the pattern: I'm keeping this pattern simple though it has only one charcoal brush element. Our charcoal brush layer is ready. Now we will give the pattern some stack. We will add a clip layer to use the flex brush. Remember, new element, new layer. I'm using the flex brush on this layer. It is in the sprayer brushes. You can choose a different color. I have selected black. Use this brush as you like. Whatever you draw on this clipped layer, it will be visible only inside the elements drawn on the bellow layer. And there you go. We have our first pattern ready to export. 5. Export: In Infinite Painter app, you can export HBAT PNG and webaimage. I had tried exporting PSD, so far, the app doesn't properly export a PSG file. You can export a video playback or whatever you have drawn so far in the current Canvas. Tap onRecor, select View Playback. On the top right corner, tap on the arrow to export the video playback. You can use this video to share on your social media. 6. Conclusion: It will conclude the class. If you want to start making repeat patterns or illustrations and don't know where to start, it's best to start wherever you are with whatever tools you have. Blow, I have shared three topics. Draw whatever comes to your mind and share it here. I would love to see what you're going to create. Start simple and then add to it. Thank you for watching.
