I will be showing you exercises in the A minor and F Major pentatonic scales in this class. You will learn how to play these scales with hands separately and together with the Triplet and Quadruplet rhythms.

1. Intro : Hey everyone, This is the second part of our course, the triplets, quadruplets and quintuplets. Okay, So if you have not looked at the first part of this course yet, I will suggest look at that one first, then come to this part afterwards. So in this course, we're going to be looking at the miners and also pentatonic scales. So with these scales, we're going to be looking at triplets, quadruplets or quintuplets rhythm. I would love for you to join me in the second part of this course. I'll see you all. 2. Minor - Triplets (Demonstration): We are now but you look at the miners in triplets. Are we looking at three different exercises? So I will see you after this demonstration. 3. Minor - Triplets Ex1 (Right Hand): So I'm going to show you how he played the right hand for this exercise here. So before I show you how to place exercise, so I'm going to demonstrate it going forward and then backwards. Alright, so after four, so 123-434-1234, 1 234-123-4123. And that's the whole exercise. So yes, that's the whole exercise going forward and then backwards. So that's what I'm going to show to you right now. So what we do to place exercises that we put our form an a. We go to the next node, which is b, then we skip. So that's how we go up and down with that finger pattern. So we go up one, then we skip. Yep, So let me come here to the B, the next note. Let me skip to the C. Next. Now, skip down to the next node and keeps going like that all the way up. Let's do that going from this a and stopping at this a here. Okay. Off the fork. Join me 123-41-2341 to again after 4, 1, 2 3 4, 1, 2 3 4, 1, 2, 3 4, 1. More time here to play along with me. 12 341-234-1234. Okay. So we're gonna end to go from this a here all the way up to this a here. So I am now going to play the metronome. So you can drop me off the 4123 go. So I am playing this exercise at 75 ppm, just for you to note. So let me do this again. Let us do this again. I want you to draw me off the 4123 For 234. Okay, great. So that's how you play going forward direction and going backwards. When we get to this a, when we start going backwards. So when we go from here, then we start going back from the a. So it's the same thing we do though. A to the b. We skip down this time key to skip C, go down to this one if G to B, and so on. Yeah, it's the same way, all the way down. Alright, so let me play this for you. Seek an idea. I'm going to count you can join me if you want to offer 412-34-1234. So it's the exact same finger pattern by just going backwards. So let's do this now with the metronome Going back off the full 1234234. So when we get to the end is just like this. E, Then we end on at the very end. Yep. So he lost parties. Weekends it. So we are now going to go forward and then backwards with this exercise. Alright, so off the floor, 123, go backwards. Let's do that again. After 4123, go to f3 and M4. So I will see you all in the next lesson. 4. Minor - Triplets Ex1 (Left Hand) : Hey guys. So now looking at our left hand for the same exercise so far, left-hand finger pattern now is going to be like this. So we're going to use our fourth or third and from for this exercise, alright, so forefinger, third. So our fourth finger, third finger. We skip with the phone. Yeah. And it's the same way gone all the way forward. Let's do this. Just go from this a to this A3. Get used to that finger. Finger change. Alright, after 41, 2 341-234-1234. Let's do it one more time. 123, go 1,234,123.4. Okay, great. So now we're gonna go from here, this a order ODE way. So we are now going to go from this a all the way up to this a here with the metronome. Alright, so after four, 123, go again, 123 and again 34. I hope he was able to play at one. Okay. Another finger change might be a bit tricky for you at first, but just work on that, you'll be fine. So now let's work on going backwards. So it's like this. So the same thing as, you know, same finger pattern, but it's going in a backwards direction. Alright, so that is keep going back and so on. All right, so let's get straight into this. Alright, let's take this one going backwards with the metronome straightaway. After 41234343. That one more time. T3 and again, free. So I hope you are ready because we're going to go forward and then backwards. Okay. After 4123, go free and again go 23. So guys, we are going to go for the big one. In the next lesson, we're going to put both your hands together for this exercise. So I'll see you in a bit. 5. Minor - Triplets Ex 1 (Both Hands) : All right guys, so now we look at both of hands together when this exercise, I hope you're ready. Let's get straight into this. We're going to do this nice and slow to watch my fingers. So the fam, the right hand and the forefinger and the left hand will go together. The third finger in the left hand and the second finger in the right hand will go to DevOps. And the firm in the left hand. And the third thing got in the right hand will match together. And they will always match together going forward and backwards. So let's do this nice and slow. Let's go from this a here, all the up to this a up here. Alright. I hope you're ready of the 412, 341-234-1234. Can do that one more time. So after 4123, go 1234123. And excellent. Alright, so that's how we play it. So always have that in your mind which things are matching the left hand and right hand. And that will help you a lot when you're playing this exercise and all the exercises when you're playing in both hands. So let's do this now going from this a all the way up to this a in both hands, so two octaves in both hands. So with the metronome, and we're still sticking with the 75 BPM. After 4123. Go. Let's do that one more time. 123 and again 234. So yeah, that's how we do going forward in both hands. So now let's go backwards in both hands. So by now you should all know what we're doing going backwards. So I'm not going to repeat myself again. I'm just going to play it nice and slow for you off the floor. So we go from this a down to this a. Alright, so 123, go one more time. 123, go 1234123. And I'm hoping by now you should understand what we do now in both my hands. So now let's go backwards with the metronome off the floor, one to free. For free. And again, 123423. So hope you guys are ready now, we're going to go forward and backwards with the metronome off the 4123. Go 341 more time. 123, go. 23.4. Alright, well done guys. So that's the exercise going forward and backwards in both hands. Well done if you've managed to get this far, reviewed the right-hand and the left-hand, and then put both hands together at your own speed. You don't have to use the speed I've chosen. I would say workup to the speed if it's too fast for you. But if it's too slow for you, go faster. Okay. So I will see you in the next exercise for the minus. 6. Minor - Triplets Ex2 (Right Hand): Alright, I hope you're ready. We're going to exercise number two and our right hand. And let's get started with this. In our right hand is like this. It goes substandard a again, what we do now that we skip four notes, so 1234, we end up on here, which is e, and up here on e. Then we go. So a skip go to E. Then we go down just one to the next note, which is D. And we continue on with that same exercise pattern. Go to the next note, skip to the end. Go down to the e one. Say skip to the G, go down, one like that, and so on. We're skipping for free notes to get to our next note. Up then go down one. Yeah, let's do this nice and slow. So let me quickly demonstrate this to you so you get an idea of how this goes off the 41, 234-123-4123, 1234123. And that's basically the exercise going forward and backwards. Alright, so how he played this is pretty straightforward. So in the a, you skipped free notes 123. And up here, Let me go down one. Let me go down to the next node, which is be skipped free notes 123, go here, go down. One. Depends always the same scot-free notes, and so on. Okay, let's try and do this. Now going from this a here to this a here. And we'll get nice and slow. 41234123. What four, sorry. 12341 more time. 12 341-234-1234. So now we're going to go from this a old up to this a here, but with the metronome off the 4123423, Let's do that again. 123,423.4. So as with the last exercise, same finger pattern, but it's going in the backwards motion. So when we get to that, a scot-free skip freed and down one, skip free, you can download. And so on. Minor - Triplets Ex2 (Left Hand) : So we're now looking at our left-hand. Let's get straight into this. So far left-hand, we use in our little finger, second finger and our farm to execute this exercise. So it goes like this. They'll finger we skip to the firm. The second. Yeah. So do this with me off the floor. From this a up to this a 1, 2, 3, 4, 1 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3 and 4. We end there. Okay guys, we're gonna go from this a here up to this. I would like you to draw me and just get used to your fingers. 1234, go to frame. 12. Free and cool. So let's go from this one all the way up to the end. So from this a, hold up to this a here, off the fall, 1234. Again, 1234, 234. So going backwards. So same thing, but just backwards. Motion with our ammeter. Join me this time. No metronome 12341, 234123. And so now we're going to go from this a all the way down with the metronome. So after 41234234. Alright, so let's go forward and backwards now with our left hand after 4123. So again 123 and again 234. I hope he's able to do that. Okay, so next up we're going to do both hands together, which is a bit harder. So at this point you could take time to work on your right hand and left hand before you attempt to do this one with both hands in the next lesson. 8. Minor - Triplets Ex2 (Both Hands): We are now going to put both your hands together. So I hope you are ready for this one. So this is nice and slow. So just notice that our little finger and our left hand and our formula right hand will go together. Or second thing got in left hand and a full finger in our right hand will go together. And our farm in the left hand and our little finger in the right hand will go together as we go up and down. Let's do this nice and slow. All right, I'm going to play it from this a up to this a in the left hand, from here to here in the right hand. So let's go off the 41. 2 341-234-1234. More time. 12 341-234-1234. Just do the full length now going forward in this exercise after 4123423 and again 1234. So going backwards. Yeah, so exactly the same thing as we discussed in the last exercise. Alright, so let's do this. So we're gonna go from this a here down to this one off to 412 341-234-1234. So let's go all the way down now with both hands with the metronome. Off the fall one, 2344123, go 23.4. So we are now going to go forward and then backwards. So I hope you're ready guys. Off the floor. 1234234. Trigrams me after 4123. Go free and full. Minor - Triplets Ex3 (Right Hand): So I'm first going to demonstrate this exercise going forward and backwards in our right hand. So just listen and watch me after 41234, 23.4. So for this exercise here, what we do is that we go from a against a. We skip one note. Let me go down one. Yep. So skip and down one. That's what it is. So we go so we go up like this. You skip the first thing, God, go down to the second finger to move put off farm with second finger is. Then we repeat the same pattern again. Then wiki replacing second finger with our phone. Dan. And so on. Let's play from this a up to here again. Okay. So off the 412, 341-234-1234, we end right there. Let's go all the way up to the top with that pad with the metronome off the 412-34-2341 more time. 123, go to F3 and F4. So going backwards, the pattern changes a little bit. So going backwards it's more like 1321. So skip the first thing, Go go down with the second finger, down. And then okay, let's just do it from here to here. So 12341, 234,123.4. So now let's go all the way down to 4123412. So now let's go forward and then back. 123,423.4. So that's how we do it in the right hand. So I will see you in the next lesson for our left hand. 10. Minor - Triplets Ex3 (Left Hand): So in the left hand we start with the third finger, skipped with a farm, go down with the second finger. And yeah, let's do this. Go from here up to here. 123-41-2123, 412-341-2341. More time? 1234, 12341234. So we're now going to go all the way up who are left hand? 12343 and again, 234. Okay, great work. So we're not going to go backwards with this. Alright, so, so going backwards, it's the same pattern as we know, since it's free. The one to the two, free skips, the one to all the same pattern. So we are now going to go all in and we're going to go all the way down with the metronome after 41234341 more time. 1234234. So now let's go forward and backwards. 123431 more time. And that's it in the left hand. So well done on completing the left-hand guys. And I will see you in the next exercise. 11. Minor - Triplets Ex3 (Both Hands): We are now into our final exercise and a minus in both hands. So this gets into this. So our formula Left-hand and our farm in our right hand matched together. Our third finger and thumb, and our left hand and our third finger and a right-hand match together. And both our second fingers will match together for this exercise. So I'm not going to play from this a to this a up here. So you can draw me if you want to or just watch me play. I'm going to do after for that. No metronome 12 341,234,123.41 more time. 1 234-123-4123. So we're going to do now with the metronome all the way to the top 123 and go to three and again. So that's the exercise going forward. So if you're not ready to go backwards yet, just continued to work on just going forwards until you're comfortable. Alright, so going backwards, as you notice, the same pattern and same thinkers. So let's do this. Mysterious Trailways mentioned them. Let's go all the way down after 41234, 234, so that one more time, 23, go 234. Okay, so we are now going to go forward and backwards. So let's get straight into this off the floor. One To free to three and again, 1234, 23.4. So well done on completing your mind is in the triplets and our next exercise will be in the quadruplets. So I will see you for the next exercise. 12. Minor - Quadruplets (Demonstration)): We are now looking at one example. So I will see you. 13. Minor - Quadruplets (Right Hand) : We're now going to call mine isn't quadruplets. So it goes like this. Let me show you it going forward and backwards. Then I'm going to demonstrate how this goes off the 41234. So that's what we're aiming to achieve and our right hand going forward and backwards with the quadruplets in the minus. So we are starting on a, Then we're skipping to the C note. Then we go down one to be, can we skip again? And that's how it worked for at the whole exercise. So it goes from here, we skip, go down, we skip. Then go down to repeat the whole pattern. Skip down, skip down, skip down to down, skip down, skip tastes the same. Kind of think of it like that, right? So let's do that. I'm gonna do from here to here. So you an idea of how it goes. So skip down, skip down, skip Down, skip down. I'm sure you've got the gist of it now. So the fingers that we're using are the farm second finger for fun being the first finger, second finger, third and the fourth finger there. The only thing is we're going to use my right hand going forward and backwards. So this whole exercise is gonna be done at 70 bpm. I want you to draw me off to four. So we're going from this a up to this a. Okay. 123-41-2341. 234. Keep going. 123412. Let me stop right there. Let's do that one more time. Off the 4, 1, 2 3 4, 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4, 1 23412. And you stop there. So we're not going to do it with the metronome. So what you can do is that you can watch me first so you get an idea of the speed or you can play straight away with me. Alright, Berlin to do is twice round off to 41234. Okay, so it's a little bit fast, faster than what we've been practicing. But yeah, that's the speed I wants to aim for. So this is at 70 bpm. And we'll do it again, trying to keep up with me if this is too fast, again, knock it down to 60 or 50. So after 41234, when we're going backwards, now, It's gonna be like this. So same thing. It's still the 13 to four pounds. So we're going up, we go down, we skip up, go down, skip up, down, skip up. So basically the opposite of what we done was going up as we're going down. So I'm just gonna play it going down, all the way down. So from this a here, all the way down to this a here. So watch me very carefully. After 412-341-2341. 2 341-234-1234. But my goal, my tongue mixed up there, but that's basically how we play. It's going backwards. So dry me this time. I'm going to play again without no metronome, but join me. Okay. So df formula a and let's get ready. 12341234, 12 341-234-1234. And that's it. So I'm gonna put this metronome now. So just do it altogether with the metronome, just going backwards off the 41234. Okay, one more time. 123. Go. So now let's go forward all the way up and all the way down. So as we go up from that point, we have to start going backwards. So this will be the last part going up. Then when we go back to the a, That's when we start going backwards. Okay. So then backwards. Yeah, Would way down until we get to this a here. Alright, let's do this with the metronome forward and backwards. Off the 41234. 234, again, 1234. Alright, excellent. And that is it going forward and backward. So work on this before you join me for the left hand, which is the next lesson, I'll see you real soon. 14. Minor - Quadruplets (Left Hand): Okay, So we're now into our left-hand of this exercise. So let's get straight into this so far left-hand now, our fingers are going to be our pinky, which is our fifth finger to the third, to the fourth, to the second. So like this, give me in there and as you know, backwards. And so on and so on. Alright, so let's get straight into this. This go from this a up to this a, I'm going to count Fleet. Do it nice and slow. Nice and slow off the 41, 2 341-234-1234, right there. Okay. So let's do this now with the metronome. Oh, actually this Coke, let's keep going. We're going up this a here. So after 412-34-2341 and in there. Okay. Let's do this one more time now gone from this a up to this a 4, 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4, 1, 2 3 4 one. And we stopped right there. Let's do this now with the metronome just going forwards off the 41234. The case that one time. 1234, 23.4. So going backwards, so it's the fifth to the fourth per second. And Ms. Keegan, in that downward motion, Let's do after four, deal with me off to 412341. 2 3 4, 1 2 3 4, 1 2 3 4, 1, 2 3 4. So we are now going to do this with the metronome by just going forward and backwards. So we're gonna go backwards just for them backwards straight away. After 41234. It's that one more time. 1234. We're going to put both your hands together. So just a quick note. Your little finger in your left hand and your firm in your right hand will match together are your third finger who match in both hands. Second and fourth finger will go together. And your second thing got your forefinger in your left hand and your second finger in your right hand goes together. Then your second thing that in your left hand and the fourth finger in your right hand go together. And that's the order. Alright, so make sure it's the little finger. First things together. Forfend second and fourth and second, by the way around, right? Second, left hand, four from the right hand. Okay, great. Let's do this nice and slow. We're going to do it from this a here up to this a here. Okay. So after 412, 341-234-1234. Okay, Let's do that again. But now we're gonna go from this a here all the way up to this. Hate this a here. 1, 2, 3 4, 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4, 1 2 341234. We're going to do this now with the metronome just going forward. So just take your time with this one. Alright, the aim of learning the piano is not to give up or that in my lessons, I don't want you to ever give up. If you make a mistake, try again and keep trying to. And I will see you for the next one. 16. Pentatonics Triplets (Demonstration)): So we are not going to look at the pentatonic scale in a triplet rhythm. And we're looking at two different exercises. So I will see you off this demonstration. 17. Pentatonic - Triplets Ex 1 (Right Hand): Hey guys. So we're now looking at up into tiny scales in the triplets and we're looking at our very first exercise in this scale. So I'm gonna play it for you first so you get an idea of how it goes, going forward and backwards. Then I'm going to explain to you how the scale, how to play the scale. Alright, it's me playfully now after 41234. And that's how we play, come forward and backwards. It's got only has five nodes. So one. So F, G, a, C, and D are the only five notes in this scale. Okay? So all we're doing is going forward like this. You're going up Free, F, G, a, and we go back to the G. He did a free again, G, a, C, go back to the a. So all we're doing is that we're playing all the notes within the scale, but we're going up, then down one, up, then down one. But this using the notes within the scale. Yep, so watch again. So F key a, go down to the GI within the scale. G, a, C, go down to the a in the scale, may skip the beak less light in the scale, C, D. Then we go to the sea, then see the F. Then to the D. Can we start the whole pattern again? Alright, so repeating that same pen twice. Let me show you that. Let me show you that one more time. I hope that was clear. So we're going up one to frame, go down one, you're from here. So we go down to the next node, which is within the skill. You have to go 123, go to the, down to the next note in the scale. Free go down. Then we repeat the whole pattern again. Alright, so let's do this now with the metronome. The metronome is gonna be at 70 ppm. Yep. So I hope you've got that so far. What you can do right now to practice that by yourself, just get a hang of the thing. Just get used to your fingers. Yep. To all we're using these are from second finger and third finger for this whole piece going forward and backwards in our right hand and also in our left hand as well. Yep, so is the exact same thing green. Alright, so let's do this with the metronome off the floor. One, 234. Okay. It's that one more time. Let's go one more time. 1234k. So that's basically how we do that going forwards. So when we're going backwards, will be going up like this, c, d, f, then go down and go down one. And go down. What I'm doing there, I'm going to say, skip all the way down to the a. C, skip down to the G, keeps creeping down. Skip down to the d. Let's get down to the sea. Skip down to the a, G, C, and we end on that. Okay? Let's just do this from this f, this f here with no metronome. So one, start on c123, 412341. More time. 12341234. Alright, so let's try and do this now. From this f old way down to this F, Yep, It's repeating the same pattern twice. After 4, 1, 2, 3 4, 1, 2, 3 4, 1, 2, 3 4, 1, we end right there. At this point you can stop and practice this going backwards. So I'm not going to pay this exercise just going backwards with the metronome. So make sure your farm Stuxnet see you after 412 341-234-1234 To free and again, 12 341-234-1234. Okay, Excellent. So now we're gonna go forward and backwards. Okay.
