the Nikon camera, it should be linear file. Or if you are using the Canon cameras than it
should be lord CRB files. So if you have already installed the Adobe Bridge
software over here, you can open and browse the
files where it is situated. And by default, if I just
double-click it, this file, it will open the Photoshop and it would launch this file
in Adobe Camera Raw. Depends on the version of the camera you have
installed on your system. For me, it is Camera Raw 8. And it would open it over here. And I can do all the
editing over here. But in case you have not, sorry. In case you have not installed
the Adobe Camera bridge, then what you can do, you can browse your
files where it is situated and my case, it is over here. So what can I do? I can simply right-click with my mouse and select
Open with if you are in window and browse
open Adobe Photoshop, whichever version of
Photoshop you have installed, that will be shown over here. And if it is not
shown over here, choose default program, and it will allow you
to browse the files. Then it must be on
one of these lists. And if it is still not here, and you can check out the model options and then it
will show you more options. But if it is still not there, then you can select this one, look for another app on this PC. And then you can manually
browse the files. The program, which is installed like Adobe Photoshop CC 2015. And I can those as
xy and press open. That way in this file will
be opened in the camera TO, okay, So it will launch
the camera raw program. That is one more way to open the profiles in the
Adobe Photoshop. And that is by
going to the File. Once you are in the
Adobe Photoshop, well to the file and select Open and browse the file
wherever it is situated. Let me browse over here, and suppose this is the file. I can just
double-click it and it would launch in the
Adobe Camera Raw. And then I can do the
editing or light. But in case you have the JSON
file and you want to use the camera raw filter over it
to make the basic editing. And what you can do, you can, let me show you. You can open any file
in Adobe Photoshop. Let say for example, this one. If you are using the Adobe
Photoshop version CC or the later than it is over
here on the filter list. What do the filter and
select Camera Raw Filter. The shortcut
keyboard command for the Camera Raw Filter
is Shift Control eight. Alright, thank you so much. This is how we open
the row files in the Adobe Camera Raw or the Adobe Photoshop
for basic editing. All right, So thank you so much. See you in the next lecture.
3. 2 Understanding Zoom Hand White Balance Color Sample Tools & Target Adjustment Tools in F~1: Welcome to this lecture. I am in the bridge and I have just chosen this
image for editing. I'll just double-click it. And it would open in
the camera raw filter. And from here, I can
do all the editing. Here is our toolbox. This is a zoom tool. I can zoom in for ten or right-click and
I can choose 410%, 12%, 6% percent all
fit in the view. Or this is the hand tool. If I commit a 100%
and I can click and drag to the specific part of the image with
this hand tool. And this is the color picker
or white balance tool. I can click and choose
a neutral color. And it would give me the
appropriate white balance. Or if in case I choose
the black color, I can get the exact or
the proper white balance. All right. All you're going
to use the white color also. Click white color. It will give you the
balance or white balance. This next one is the
color sample tool. You can select and
sample the color. This can also be done. I'll clear it. Next is the
target adjustment tool. This is very useful if
you'll just click it and click on the area
and you can drag upward. So you can make it
lighter or darker. This way, if you drag
your mouse down, it will make it darker. And if you drag your mouse up, it will make it lighter. Similarly, with this area, you can do this with
any area of the image. Specifically, it is
actually works based on the colors available on
these part, where you click. And if you click and hold, you will find these options. This is the hue feel select. You can change the
hue of this color. And this way also. If I want to change the
hue of this T-shirt, then I can do that easily.
4. 3 Understanding Target Adjustment and Crop Tool in Adobe Camera Raw F~1: And it will click and hold. It will give you the another
option is saturation. I can boost the
saturation if I drag my mouse appalled by
clicking on any color, if I drag it down, I can take away the saturation
or that particular color. It is very good for clear
creating some kind of a specific effect like this one where
everything is black and white and only color
visible is this one. All right, You can do that also. If I'll click and hold, now you get the next
option is of luminance. You can make it lighter
or darker this way. This affects the
luminance, okay? Alright. The next option
is of the crop tool. This is the crop tool. So you can select it and you can go anywhere on the image. And after that you
can press Enter. And it would crop your image to that particular area
wherever you have selected. So by pressing Control
or Command jet, you can undo that. And further it will
click and hold. It will give you another
option that is one-to-one. So it will create the square. You can do that
anytime or anywhere. And it will give you the scale. By pressing Control. You can undo it. Okay. Now, next option is to buy
three or 93 or custom. You can also give the
ratio the pixels, or you can choose the inches. Then by 15 and press Okay, and now you can click and drag. This is how it would give
you the exact proportion. Alright? You can do that
and now you can see the clear crop and
it would clear it. And if you have saying
this option Show Overlay, click, it will show
you the overlay. Maybe want and clear. Okay.
5. 4 Understanding Straightening Tool Spot Removal Tool and Red Eye Tool in Adobe Camera Ra F~1: The next option is
straightening tool. This is the straightening tool. Suppose if I want to
straight on this line and this is little bit
slanted at the moment. So I need to click
and drag it upwards. And it will make
this line straight. And if there is a need, it we'll call it also. Similarly with this one, I can use this tool to
straighten this and press enter, and it will straighten it. Next is the Spot Removal tool. And you can select it and
as it shows the name itself suggest you can click
and remove the sports. It basically how it works. First, this is the area
which is where the sport is. And this is the area where you want to
take the sample from. It will take the pixels from this area and it
would be pasting it over here to remove that spot or if I press it, break it here. You can see it had made a copy
of these birds over here. So this is how it works. It's very simple and easy
to use, very handy tool. Next is the red
eye removal tool. In case sometimes when we take the portrait and use the flesh, we get the red eye. So you can click and click on the eye and you
can remove that.
6. 5 Understanding Adjustment Brush Tool and Graduated Filter Tool in Adobe Camera Raw f~1: Next is the adjustment
brush tool. You can select the adjustment and you can paint it anywhere. Like all this area. It will give you
all these options. Here. It would create a pin. Hover, your mouse or this, or the center of the spin. It will show you where
this brush is affecting. That means, where is the mask
of this brush is available? It would give you
all these options over here so you can selectively make its temperature
cooler or warmer. You can change the tint of this. You can change the exposure. If you want to. You can
change the contrast. And it would only affect this area wherever
you have painted. And you want to change
highlights, shadows, saturations, sharpness, noise reduction,
model reduction difference. So it gives you
all these options. You can do that. And if you
check this one, show mask, it will show you where it is affecting or your mask or
wherever you have painted. And suppose if you want to make the same agents student
to another area, you can simply then with
the same brush over here. And it would give you
the same adjustment. Modern case you want to the
different adjustments or new adjustment on another area than what you need to do if you need to select the
new from here. And then you can paint anywhere, then you can change the
settings from there. The next option is
off graduated filter. You can select it. You can click and drag. Suppose for the sky. You can make the
adjustments from here. Like you want to change the temperature,
you can change it. You can change the exposure. Contrast highlights. All these options are available. You can do that with the
graduated filter tool. If you want to make another one, you can click and drag. Click and drag, and each
one has a different pen. That means you can apply different adjustment to
the different areas. And that's where the easy
and faster way to do that. All right? Similarly with this
one, you can do that. You want lesser exposure
or the contrast. You want to change
the temperature, then you can do that also.
7. 6 Understanding Radial filter Tool Preference and Rotation Tool in Adobe Camera Raw f~1: Next one is the radial filter. Let me first undo
all these things. You can simply click
or press Delete on your keyboard to remove that
particular graduated filter. And next is this radial filter. Radial filter is similar
to the graduated filter, but it is actually works
this way as it creates a radial on particular on your image wherever
you draw that circle. And it would affect the area based on the option
chosen over here. If you have chosen the outside, it is going to affect
the outside of the area. If you have choose an insight, it will affect the
area of the inside. You can change it further. If you want the sharper or the blending or the
more fiddling area, so that becomes very smooth, then you can increase
the freedom to 100%. And if I drag it back to 0, you can see that it has
created this sharp circle, which is not good. But you can do that also. You have all these options
available over here. All right? So you can take the advantage
of this one also, or creating or focusing on
one particular subject. That is really a wonderful
way of doing it. You can do that also. The next one is open
preference dialogue. Here you can select
all these settings, but I will suggest
to not touch it. Okay. Next one is the rotate 90
degree counterclockwise. If unselect, it will rotate this image 90 degrees
counterclockwise. And if you will select this one, it will rotate it
clockwise, 90 degree. And if we again pass it, it will again rotate it. And it will keep on rotating
until you stop. From here. You can check the
preview of before and after the adjustments
you have applied over here. If you want to make
it full screen, you can click this one and
it will go fullscreen. The shortcut keyboard
for going full screen or the window screen
is the press F. If you press F on your keyboard, it will make it fullscreen. Or if you'll again press it, it will make it a window. Alright, so this was the basic toolbox of the Camera Raw within
the camera roll. Thank you so much. In the next lecture
we'll be getting introduced ourself
with these ones, these options over here, basic than tone
curves and all that.
