1. Introduction: Hello, everyone. Welcome to my class Panda Join. I am Jodie Zaval and I will be with you in this class to help you out drawing a cute little Panda. This class is for all those who want to learn to draw a panda step by step, or for those creatives who want to spend their time creating some thing cue. This class is a step by step tutorial and no prior experience is required to attend and to learn from this class. I have various kind art classes on my profile that are suitable for all, you can check those classes also. You can also follow me so that you get a notification every time I publish a new class. If you want to put any suggestions or any topic that you want to learn from me in my next class, you are welcome to text me on my Instagram handle, miraci dot ten. It was all for the introduction. I have mentioned the material that you need for this class in the next lesson itself, and there is a class project also that I have mentioned at the last lesson of the class. Now, let's start with the class, see if the next lesson fly. 2. Material Required: So for this class, we need a sheet of paper to draw on a pencil and an eraser, a black pen for outlining all our drawings, and a green brush pen to fill colors in the green area. So this is all that we require for this class. If you want to write or decorate something else, you can do that also. And the next lesson, we are going to start with the drawing of Panda. So see you in the next lesson. Bye. 3. Let's draw Panda: Everyone, let us start drawing the panda. For this, I'm drawing a very straight line, free hand only. I'm not using any ruler to draw the straight line because this is a stem of a bamboo. This is a bamboo stick. For this bamboo stick, we don't need a ruler to draw a straight line. Then I made a B alphabet structure here. In this structure, I have drawn this structure very light handed because we need to erase this. We will erase it many times to get a shape of a panda's face and his tummy. Draw the eyes and the ear of the panda as shown in the video. Also, you have to check the positioning of eyes and ears because this will change according to your V structure that you have made. You will see in this video also, I'm going to erase this structure many a times just to get that attain that figure of a panda. This can be nal sometimes when we draw, but we can figure it out while drawing. Draw the eyes and the inner circle in the eyes also. This will help us to identify which area we have to color white and which area we have to color black. Now, drawing the nose as inverted triangle and a line coming out from the lower point and then making a smiling face. Also at the lowest part, here we are drawing the leg structure of the panda with which it is hanging on the bamboo and at last just fixing up a structure a bit and then we'll draw the tail of the panda. Now, drawing of the panda is complete, we are now drawing the second line for bamboo stick and then adding some lines into it to show that it is a bamboo stick. After that, we are going to draw leaves in this bamboo stick also. As you can see here, I was not satisfied with the shape of the panda's face, so I'm redrawing it. This is very basic. You can also do it many a times because Andrea unless you get the satisfaction of Panda's face round being round. That time you will not get the feeling of drawing a cute Panda. So you can do the alterations. Many a times, this is normal. Now at the bottommost line of the bamboo stick in this drawing, I'm drawing two leaves together so that it will make look cuter. That's it. So we are done with it. Let's see in the next lesson. 4. Outline It: Now in this lesson, we are going to outline what we have drawn in the previous lesson. Here, I'm using a black pen, but you can also use a black sketch pen. Black sketch pen will give you a thicker outline, and I'm using a black pen because I want a smaller or thinner line. Here, I'm simply covering the line that I have drawn with pencil. I'm not making any extra line, and as I was satisfied with what I have drawn with pencil, I'm simply doing the outline over the pencil itself. Keep in mind that when you colour the nose, you color it with the pen itself. This will look good. While outlining the eyes also, I am outlining the two circles that I have made, and I am filling the color in between the two circles with the black pen itself, what I have used for outlining the circles. This gives an intense look in the eyes. See, the eyes are looking very pretty and the nose also. Everything is just in place. Let us move forward and outline the other things that are left. Here, we have to outline the hand portion also. As we have to color it with black, I'm again going to use my pen. Also, let us outline the bamboo stick. While using a pen that I am using, which means not a sketch pin, a normal pen with a thinner line and tip, you will face a problem that at some point, some ink is overdone, which means you will face that all the lines are thin, but at some point it is thick. So as you can see here at the tummy area, it is the same thing. I'll let you know how you will cover this also filling the color with using the same pin in the ears of the panda. You can use sketch pen also while doing the outline. If you are doing the outline using a sketchpen, you can go for coloring with sketchpin. If you are doing the outline with black pen, you have to do the coloring with pen itself. This helps to make everything look more even and more clear. As you can see here, I'm doing the outline again to make it a bit bold. I'm not making it much thicker, but I'm making it bold. So I'm outlining it again. You can also go for the second or third round also depending upon your sheet and your pen. If your pen is strong enough to give you good strokes in just one time, there is no need for overdoing it. We have to fill in the area of arm, and you can do it with pen itself. We also have to color the leg area of the panda. For this also, I'm using the same pen, and I suggest you to go for the medium that you have decided. Just make sure that you are working very carefully. You can do outline first, make a thick outline here and then fill in the color so that you will not make any mistake here. We are working with pen. Here, there is no scope to make mistake because if you are going to take any stroke out of the area, then this will not look good. After outlining, there I use an eraser to rub off all the pencil marks that were there earlier. Although I have just outlined everything, so there is not much pencil marks that are visible, but this will give you a finer look. 5. Magic of Colours: Now we have done with the outline and the basic designs. Everything is done. It has the time to splash up the colors, show you the magic of colors in this drawing. Now, firstly, I'm using brush pens because I love using brush pens. The second reason why I'm using brush pens here is it helps small kids also to color it very easily using the brush pens. If they are going to use any other medium, it's fine. But if they are working with watercolors, Brush pens are best for them. They are very happy to use brush pens because this helped them to color very particularly in a particular reason. And while they are working with watercolors with brush, it makes it difficult for them to fill in the color in a right space. So yes, this is the point number two, why I love using the brush pens because it is more convenient and gives you a brighter and lighter shade as compared to the watercolors. This is my personal opinion. Opinions may vary, then they are also welcomed to me, and I'm also coloring using the one pen here. I'm not spelling up more the colors here, just using one particular color and that's it. With this stick and the leaves, our coloring part is complete. One point that I'm left with is that tummy area that I told you that in that tummy area, we can see that there is a point where the ink is thicker than the rest of the area. So we are going to cover that point here. I'm using the black pen again that I used to draw the panda, and I'm going to give it an outline which includes this extra ink, which means I'm giving it a boulder outline. And while outlining this, I have to take care that there is no other ink spot now. It's not like I'm fixing up one thing and ending up with another issue in my drawing. So we have to be very careful while fixing these things. So fixing it very carefully, see, I have used it. Because I have made a thicker outline. Okay. And this thicker outline is looking a bit different from what the tail is. So let us outline the tail once more because the face is very much bold. We have double outlined the thumb area also. So we have to outline the tail area also so that it looks even and well balanced. So this was all for this class, and your project work is in the next lesson as you do for the project work. 6. Project Work: So, guys, I hope you all have enjoyed the class and are ready for your project work. So, here it is. Try drawing the Panda and color it.
