1. Hello and welcome: There is a certain joy in creating, and I find it very therapeutic and a fun process, especially when oblique cameras come to life with lot of scholars. Hi everyone. My name is fun to me and I'm here with the class for you guys on get creative with painting on bottle. This classes for beginners and our canvas for this class is Bartlett's. Throughout this class, I guide you guys step-by-step on how to apply different techniques and how to approach a particular idea that you want to paint on the body. I show some really simple techniques and gain different project ideas to paint on the border with the ethnic scheduler. I talk about different paint mediums and different painting techniques and also how to make corrections. We also discussed the protective layering. In the end. We begin with extremely simple project that takes about five to ten minutes and take it up a notch. With every project moving forward. Each project has its own creative approach, which will in turn boost your creativity. The last class project is debate on a bigger bottle by combining all the techniques and ideas that we learned throughout the glass. And that will be a night sky landscape. So basically I'm covering everything that you need to know as a beginner to paint on the bone. And some of these techniques are without using brush. So all you beginners, you don't have to worry if you guys are not so comfortable painting with brush, you can still do this. Do not forget the go-to had Bonner's class that I'm sharing few more easy subjects with you guys so that you can explore and create with the techniques that you have learned. And you take a plane canvas and pour some coloring to it. You can see how it comes to life. That's what I love the most about art. Let's begin with the class.
2. Material for the class: Materials used in this class are stuff that you will find most commonly available at your home. Some things you use in your daily life. The paint views are also the ones that are most commonly and easily available in the stores near you and are kind of reasonable. Most importantly, the material that you need to have, our glass Jasmine bottles. All the bottles that I have used in the class are something that I am reusing all upcycling. The paints that I have used is fabric, acrylic paint here and some poster colors. These are actually easily available in all the stationary phase and it's pretty reasonable and cheap. And this FET fabric acrylic colored acts pretty much like the regular accurately colors. So if you are buying something new, I would suggest you to buy fabric acrylic color, otherwise, any acrylic color is also just fine. Brushes I am using toothbrushes. One is a flat brush and other is attained round brush. And I would suggest you to use a brushes that are not too expensive. Or if you're using for your watercolors, don't use them because once you use this accurately colors or fabric paint, all the boaster colors, they tend to lose their smoothness and they kind of become very rough. Another important tool that I'm using throught the classes, my masking tape. These are easily available in any hardware store. And then we have here, but this is like a very cool and easy tool that we can use while painting. And I'm sure it's available in everybody's home. And I have a marker, black marker. And ablate Carter. If you do not have laid, you can always work with citizens as well. I am using an old loofah for the span, so I'm just breaking these into small pieces and I'm using my own loofah, coming to the recommendations on paint. I have used to paint siloed in the project which is poster color and accurately pain. But if I have to choose between these two, I would say go for acrylic paint. These are some old bottle paintings that I have done on a bottle nearly 40 years back. Here is another one. I have painted on all these three bottles with acrylic paints and I have not used any protective coating on top of this, I find that acrylic paint do not need any coating. Having said that, the quality and the property of the poster colors might be different from brand to brand and place to place. So I would suggest you to work with it and see once the paint dries off, just rub your fingers on the Paint. New rabbit finger on the painter doesn't come off. That means it doesn't need protective layering. Having said that, acrylic paint is not water proof. If you are going to wash the bottles frequently or get them in contact with water, then better to apply the protective coat mode about the materials used for protective coat. I'll discuss in the last section of protective leading.
3. Practice and tips: Now let's discuss color mixing and inconsistency in detail. I am using poster colored and accurately color throughout this class projects. So both behave similarly. You cannot add too much of water when you're mixing them. What I generally do is I paint directly out of the bottle. If you do not have these colors that you can use directly, you can always mix them. We'll talk about mixing in awhile. Now let's do a quick tutorial on how to use bunch and that paint on it. This is very simple and very easy way to apply paint on the glass. Or you need to do is take some paint. You see I have taken the Sprint and just bab lightly on the surface. Now you'll see that there are some space between the depth. So repeatedly dab on that surface, cover the entire portion. See. So basically, let me just show you how it works again. You just have to keep babbling on it. Do not press too much or do not press too late. Just enough to spread the paint on the glass. Now if you're working with brush, you have to take a clean dry brush and apply the paint. So you see the difference with applying a dabbing that spun Jana blind with the brush? When you apply the coat of paint with brush, you need to apply at least two layer to make it go pick. If you've noticed I've used only one sided stroke and painting from top to bottom. I'm not painting it in any random order. So if you notice, you can see that there are two different textures formally with the spine Juliet and mindset of texture and the new paint with a brush, you get a smooth texture. For beginners, I would suggest to use spongy itself because it's very easy to paint with this band. And this is painting that brush needs a bit more NADH. Make sure you're always using dry brush. Now. I'm just picking the spin directly from the bottle and applying on the glass. So you see this is how the pain should look like when you apply on the glass, it should form a thick layer like this. Now, I'll take some water and mix some water to my paint. If at all your brain does to take and you feel that the consistencies to take 6LoWPAN grid and you decide to make some water with the paint, then make sure that it always forms articulated like this. In case you paint on the glass with a very watery layer, the drops of water. It will look something like this. You see it do not stick or it will not form a team leader. It will just form blobs of paint around. So you cannot work with this kind of consistency. So you always need to work with thick paint. When I'm painting with thick paint, this is how it gets formed. Basic rule of thumb here is, if you have added water, do you paint? And if the consistency is not to take and it has become very watery, it will behave like this. So you cannot use anything like this on the border. You just need to use something very tick. And I would prefer directly out of the bottle. Same holds good for acrylic paints as well, not just for postal colors. This is how you maintain the consistency with both accurately can boast a colours. Now, moving on to the portion on how to make corrections in case you have painted something and you do not like it. It's very easy. You just have to dab or tissue order where deco vec glob and just a little bit off. Even though the paint has dried with bolster colours, it will always come off very easy. You can use the same concept of rubbing off the paint on acrylic layered as well. But given that the acrylic paint is still erect on the glass, acrylic paint has already dried on the bottle. It cannot be removed with direct issue. But don't worry, there is a way to remove the acrylic paints as well. All you need is a naive or sharp lead. So you can just scrape it off. Acrylic paint sticks nicely onto the bottle once it is dry, which is also the reason why I preferred to paint with acrylic paint when bending on the glass. Long press too hard and make sure it would be a not scratching the glass. This is a little bit tiresome, but I just want to show you that is that if you have painted something on agriculture and you do not like to do one, could he do it? There is a way to do it. You don't have to be disheartened. Might take you few minutes longer as good and move this, but it is renewable. Another tip that I would like to mention here is every time you paint a coat of paint on the board, do make sure that you wait for it to completely dry before you apply another layer. If you do not wait, then both the paint will mix together and it will give a different color. And also once you finish ending on the underbar, do keep it aside for at least a day so that the paint dries off completely. Here, I'll show you my approach to remove the gum after building the stickers from bottles and jars. What I do is I keep the glass container rinsed in hot water for about five minutes. Then with soap and the metals grumble that I use for dishes, I scrub off the gum because of the heat of the water, that gum becomes loose and it is easy to scrape it off with soap. And this is how you have a clean bottom ready-to-use and paint on. So let's begin.
4. Project 1: Dot painting: Let's begin with a simple dot dot for our first project. Here, I'm just going to use simple tools that is available at home like a pencil and a toothpick. I'm just going to use a tip off all these videos. So let me just explain this simple logic. How we are going to do this dark, dark. It's pretty simple. We're going to start with a dot in the same dough. And then we'll be imagining a cross at unlit. So what we'll do is at first, we'll add these dots to the top, bottom, right, and left. Now once we have these, next round, we're going to fill the gap between them. So you'll see this way, we have the entire circuit. So, so this is step one and step two. So this way we are going to keep building the dart around the center. And if I do maintain the symmetry. So what happens in the next round is either I'll paint between the two circles. So if I've been tagline and then paint on your range, one being Guan heard, again being between the rest of the two circles. So now this way, we keep on filling the gaps between the circles so that we maintain the symmetry. Now, the shape of the circles will study the size of the circles or the dots will differ based on the baton, are based on the tape that do use, do painted. If you want a bigger one, will use the pencil, the medium-sized we use the verb, and for the smaller one, we'll use the I need it. Now we can also have different shapes or different designs. For example, we can have a big round, but we'll paint smaller dot-dot around it. Something like this. For example, if we have, if we maintain this. So maybe the next round, I'll just being some small dots along this circle. So the intricacy of the design depends on our comfort and how we wanted to paint it. You can go even mindless with me, not really think too much. Either I can do small, small loads or maybe the medium-sized dots between these two. So on and so forth. So we can just go on filling the designs, delay the one with the colors we want. I'll just wing it and see how it goes. And perhaps I can just add a tiny one here just to fill the gap. So you'll see I have. Design two different designs just by changing the shape of the dots. So basically the main thing is you just need to keep painting the dots, maintaining the same dough and brain domain. Then the symmetry around it just follows the same rule as just don't go random. Every circle should follow the same rule or same kind of size and the design that you're maintaining. So it will just build itself. I'm using fabric acrylic plane for this project. So I'm just going to paint with three colors. You can choose any number of colors that you want. And here for this project, mostly I'll just be using this and Hadoop Pig for tiny intricate detailing dot. So let's begin and I'll take some green and make the sendoff. And then with some orange is going to make the dot and the bottom, and the top to the right and to the left. Now since my dot in the center that is same as that of the ones that I did around it. I'm not going to fill in between these dots because there is no enough space to fill with the same size. So what I'm going to do is between these two dots on top offered like triangle, I'm going to place a dot here. Similarly I place a dot. And so this gave me something like a square. So this bubble I trained in between these two. So similarly as and when you go, you can just bring it and see what kind of pipe and you might get. So next, I pick, I bake some orange again and baking a lot of paint in the dip. Play Islam on the doh, doh, doh. And then another next to it. So it's like good you. So basically you can use, you know, keep on forming these dots and make your own designs and see how it goes. As a new need not be rigid or just keep following the same thing or whatever I do. If you want, you can blend something previously before being being under glass on a piece of paper with the colors. Have a better idea of what kind of shape and results shape that you want. But I'm just going with the flow and seeing what vein of shape but Farms and by the end of the whole process. So here I am, so it's not even a circle. I have a beautiful backbone formed. You can just leave it like this. Or I think I want do me go between leaf. So there you go. We have our first design ready. Oh, let me just try something else, some other Biden. So what I'm going to do here is make the same bit of Rigby girls so that they can get a so good like this one because you have the same dose because then the second run of circles and pinned one on the dove on the bottom. So you see how this circle is smaller than the same Dylan. So if you want to maintain a sense circular draw, back, then you have to have the same bird a bit bigger than the second or not. This is not aligned, it's a bit crooked. So I'm just going to wipe it off with the tissue and blew it. And we're gonna put a dot to the right to the live. Became a big bigger. Now, please, another dot between these. So now I have a circuit. Next, I'm going to take orange and bend between the loads. So we have a nice circle going on. All right. So if you want to make it bigger than just keep continuing the process and give making it bigger and bigger. Since I'm using a smaller module, I'm just going to make just one size because if I make it bigger, I might not see the baton in. It's aimed directly. So I think this is a appetites for the bottle. Take some more verbal. Make these tiny dots lake away. They don't go up. So again, I would like to say this is very subjective and there is nothing, no proper. I mean, you can just be free with a two. You need not stress yourself with. So and so rules and regulations that you have to follow, just make sure that you're following the same dirt or Soglin. I'm just painting around it to maintain low symmetry. This one, I'll make it a bit bigger. So they have a second package. So you can just Bainbridge Island and make all, all kinds of different kinds of fat than with the same color scheme or different color scheme use multiple colors, it's just left to you. This is the very fun and very easy doodle on the glass. So I'm going to paint few more buttons, but they're probably going to speed it up. But also I would like to see if you're paying being our lead on the Glass, make sure that it doesn't overlap. For example, if I've painted this one, these two here, when I'm being, being behind, I paint. So I will just being Guan cured and 100 and that would be a galloping behind it. So I'm done here. Make sure that the background is opaque, redouble your binding on the glass, such as these two, that is nothing being dead under. So when I look at it, the baton is very clear. Mark like this, because I've been data by them here, right? And loaded. This biden is not clear. When you look at the street, maybe at certain angle it is, but I do avoided. But they in dental give written this way. So that looks for load to the building, looks more good looks for learning being dead or LED_ON. So here design, first, guinea dining, easy project. I have been the different buttons here. You can just being one in the same node and just make it bigger, just build it up and being done on it and just tie one huge dot, dot being. But otherwise, it's easier to make dynein ones. It looks more meat, especially when you add a beginner and you're doing it for the first time. See you in the next section.
5. Project 2: Negetive painting: Moving on to the next design will be painting with some sponge. If you don't have span, you can just use brush to paint. But this is again, sponges much more lighter and easier to bandwidth. So sues any kind of span. You can use this as just something came that some product that I bought on lines, I'm just using this. So here what I'll do is I'm going to paint a leaf like structure. And leaf-like structures or no masking tape. And I'm, I know based on my glass and make some more. Probably another leaf. You need not always have this kind of leaf shape. You can also have a blank shape. Belief if it helps you to gut. So it's left bu, the shape is left to you. Two liters enough for now. You can add any number of leaves that you want based on the surface casings. They want to maintain a square shape. For which again, I use masking tape to mark or keep Dutch ship. Maintain that square shape. Somewhat like my boundary. If you want, you can put in the bottom, but it doesn't matter one to keep her down. So I'm just going to let it be. So now the surgery very simple, choose a color that you want. I'm going to choose blue. So I'll be painting this one. Did post the colors. The last previous book project was with acrylic paint. I'm going to do with Forster colors. So basically you can use any color that does take consistency that you already have the Do. You need not bother much about the type of thing that can be post-colonial regularly colors fabric paint. So anything that is the consistency or maybe when wash to wash. I would suggest not do use watercolor that you cannot because again, it's a transparent medium. So what I do is I'm going to take some paint and the people of my sponge and undoes window lab. So I have that blue on top. Should take some yellow and start dabbling from the bottle. And somewhere in between. Then I reach between these two colors, I will just blend it. So this is, it just took us barely one minute and we have our background 3D. Now that my bane to semi dried and just remove the masking tapes. So you see, because I've used masking tape, I get a nice edge. Sometimes if you're using acrylic paint at this possible that once it completely dries, if the paint might be lawfully the masking tape. So it's better to remove it when the beam does semi dried so that you avoid the building off of the band along the masking tape. So I'm just going to use a sharp edge to the love of God man. So there you go, you have a nice leaf shape. So you can add multiple leaves. I have just added due, because of the size of my glass. To my next step will be I pinned some patterns inside the leaf, something like this. We paint some lines inside though. If you have a marker, then you can just. Being automated, stem off these leaves with the marker. This would be easier. In this making random lines. You see in-between and drawing line between two lines. So there you have it. And I think the second leaf. So here I have my leafy pattern. Now my paint has almost drive slow. In blue stem of relief. If you do not have marker, then you can use it too big and dark colors such as black to make these. But if you have a market it does easier or you can also use paint brush. So what I wanted to do is add some more color to this. Just like how I showed him in my sketch, I had actually used blue and red. What I'll do is I'll take some red this time my user too big. If you can add, you can also use posco pens. If you have these posco pens, you can use these as well. So basically you can use anything that is available to you, any material that you already have the deal. So you see the stupid and you're going to add some color to this leaf. Not too many. Just few months. If you want, you can use some other colors as well, but I don't want to add too many colours, so I'll just leave it at this stage. So here we are. A very simple design. A DIY again, they've just use sponge and to pay kinda markers, and that's it. So we have blended the colors here and we have left this leave space empty. So here you go. You can add a lot of leaves and omega bigger picture and add multiple colors of backdrop and just black and say, given that look pretty MI, Make sure you do not have any other painting at the background. You see how, if you have any other painting, since we have left this empty, this effect will be different than what you have here. So you see it depends on the background or value. Keep it as well. If you want this colored or you want some kind of thing, you can paint the background. I would like to keep it as it is transport and this has a nice chomp do it. So here is our second project.
6. Project 3: Simple basic nightsky: Let's move on to our next project. I'm just going to paint on the side, not behind, but on the side. So what I'll do is I'll paint on both the sides so I can have three different projects on each side. And I keep the fourth one mg because I've kept the swan MD here and made sure that that Mark stopped do much on the beam theory because when I'm dealing with effect might come off. So be careful not to stick, DO much too long. I just like it. Let's paint the night sky. Or I use some yellow in the boardroom, yellow and pink in the bottom, like blue and make it dark on top. If you do not have light blue or light blink, you can you can avoid using thing. If you do not have laid blue than just mix white through your dark blue. So I'll take some yellow first. And in the bottom. I have been excited. They think if you don't have been big orange or red. So I'm blending heard. When you're applying these layers of being, make sure that the previous brain does read to even the unfolding being. It has become ordinary because it has mixed with the yellow. So I'm making some more. And next up I'll dig some blue and then mix the site of the sponge to blend nicely. Next, I take the dark blue sea. So I have my dark blue. Since I want to bring galaxy and the night sky kind of effect. The other cleaner side and blend. So somewhat like makeup. I think those who are used to applying makeup and doing lines blends on the face with the sponge. They'll find this really easy. Taking some more blue.gov. And if you have black, you can also apply black here on top and make some more blue. So I would like to have some late blend. You can just leave it at that. But I'd like to have some blend of light blue. Islam is when do I liked Lou Hill? And again on the dark blue and try to blame this corners K. So now I want to clear all the extra blues that have come here. So user data, end of the tissue with water and I'm just going to clean it cleanly gov. If you're using postal colors even though they have grade, you can just dip some water or take some gloves and clean that area. So you see at the screen now, right? So I have my sky ready. The bottom layer has already right here. So I'm going to be date this dark blue color and the ground. And then and make a tiny tree, a simple tree trunk. So now I will move my masking tape. I see that it has spread around the liberal here. So I'm just cleaning it. Now with white band. I will paint some startups. I latched on darts, four stars. And even I could pick. Firstly, it has completely dried. You can either leave this, add this, or you can add some tree canopy. So that's another edition that you can add. So I'm gonna take my things and mix them. Tree amusing thing here, because you need to use a beam that is later than the previously used at some depth. Again, make sure that the color that you choose you should be darker than the previously owed. I am using pink. If you do not have pink, you can use white. Light would be another great choice. So again, I did some damage here. Let's do some damage control. You cannot always be avoided. That's the best part of acrylic. Our poster gallery, and it is always good bloom for collection. And we are done with this.
7. Project 4: Simple creative pattern with tapes part 1: Okay guys, so here we are with our next project. And this is really, really, really simple one, All you need is the colors that you choose. A sponge or you can, if you don't have a span, you can use brush, but it's left to you how we want to apply the paint. You'll see and you need a deep, I'm using the cellophane paper, the transparent div, if you like, you can use masking tape as well. For this, I am not using masking tape because my bottle is small. And if I use this masking, David says tick, it will cover most of the area. So I want a tin date for this project, which is why I am using this thin cellophane tape. So what we're going to do in this project is applied the tape in a spiral fashion. If you wish to, you can just go apply pieces of paper and apply them parallely in a barrel, circles, in concentric circles. But just for the effect, I would like to go with spiral, the spiral pattern. So you see this is the gap between my deep. That's where the paint will be. Let me just complete a blameless. So didn't do a spiral. So I've just got to pure, so half of the water left put spider. And for the remaining half, I will just make some concentric circles on the dock, just so that I can show you both the status. So it's a bit difficult to show you guys since this is a transparent deep, but I have put two concentric circular dibs here on the top for this portion. And this portion I have taken the spiral ship. So this spiral ends here and the concentric begins here. So just to give it a continuity, I'll just connect the tape of the spiral with this circle here. Just to have a sense of continuity, I'm doing this. Deeps set. Now let me show you a sample on a bigger bottle that I have a blade masking deep spiral concentric circle. So you can see I have my dips already. So let's begin the painting. I like to use widen the mix because sometimes the colors tend to be very saturated and dark. So if I use white colored, it kind of stones are down a little and gives a nice effect. So I have this piece of sponge. Begin with bubble, some Babylon, the sponge. I'm using acrylic painting. So it's the same logic what we have followed before. I'm just going to randomly apply the band eight, the next color, which is red. Next I take some beaucoup. My third Gallo. So this, I think this is lilac and bubble. But anyhow, I'm just taking some colors that I like that I had in the bottle. I've chosen all the dark colors with the same technique. I I have my gallows ready. So if you like it at this, just leave it as it is. But let me show you how it look. If I add some white to it. You see I get some light down here. So this is our coat of paint. Now let's remove the data. If you want, you can just follow a single color as well. Again, it's left to your choice. So here I am removing the date carefully. K, So my one set of devs are removed. You see the pattern that has formed yet, the spiral Biden. Now let's remove the dark ones. Be careful while removing the div. That has some extra paint gun the doll, and just use a vector tissue and they remove it. I think the sustaining enough. So here via isn't this easy? Well, another thing you can do is you can just have seen colored to all the bottle or each spiral may be half of this vital, a particular color or something like that. It is left to you. You can just get creative with this.
8. Project 5: Gradiation and pattern with tapes: In this section of the class, we learn how to paint radiation with sponge. At the same time, make some more new patterns with tips. I would like to use thin strip of masking tape for this class. But since I don't have these ready-made thin strips and just cutting them to the size that I need. You can also cut these strips using blade or the cutoff. So for now, I already have some thin strips of beeps Got down. So what I'll do here is half of the bottle, I'll do uniform strips and the other half with random strips. Let's begin by applying the strips in random order. Whenever you apply a day, make sure that you but as the sides of the deep nicely so that when you put the paint on the glass, it doesn't sink or it doesn't leak between the stapes. Pressing it hard so that pain doesn't leak inside when you painted. I'll fast-forward the video now. There's no particular order that I follow the herd and applying the Dave, I just made sure that it's somewhat forms or triangular shapes. After applying the table. Moving on to the second half of the bottle here, that's just simple. I'm a blank day part is on Delhi. So now I have a plate on that day, but as you can see here, I have played in random order and you have applied just straight parallel to each other. Again, I haven't pressing all the edges of the day properly so that the paint doesn't leak inside. So let's begin the painting process. I'm going to use white, light blue, and dark blue. Alternatively, if you don't have these colors, then you can also use white, orange, and yellow. These are also nice combination. I'll take three piece of spongy or just for ease for three different colors. Let's begin with white and taking some white. I, since I have three colors, I'll imagine the glass portion can be partitioned into three. So first 1 third of the glass, I'll paint with white. To begin with. I'll paint a little below 1 third. Because that's the portion where we will mix and get the radiation. So first I added white. Next, I'll take my light blue. Added in the middle first, in the transparent area first. I'd written a transparent area first and then slightly move on to the right, just so that you mix the paint, the white and blue. So see you get this mixture where white then blue mixes. You have to be a little quick because this white is still wet and that is why it doesn't mixing nicely. It will not mix once the paint has dried. Similarly, next step, I'll take some blue and start with the empty transparent motion first. And then slightly move upwards to the light blue. So there you have it three colors and we have found gradation in case you feel that the transition is not clean, then what I would suggest is take a clean side of the sponge, clean side where there is no paint at all and just slowly dabbed so that without any extra paint, it just mixes well. And make sure again, this you have to do when it is still wet. So there you have it. I'll do the same on the other side. So I have been did all the sides of the bottle. Now it's time to remove the tape. At a memo that I've uploaded from the bottom, the last, so I'll begin with the last tip. I loved the spark of removing that day because this is where it comes to life. Now you see I have such nice clean crease. That's because I have pressed the deep nicely. Once I it does remove the lid. Looks so beautiful. I love it. You'll see there are some paint leaks heard in the gardener, but sometimes it's you cannot avoid it. It happens, but I don't mind such minute imperfections. Be very careful not to harm the paint yearly and love this one too. You see, so you have to patterns in just one bottle. If you're bored of looking at this, you can just turn it off. And you have a new design. I have these not so perfect creases on top. If you ask me, I do not mind leaving it as it is. It kind of gives a very cloud-like effect here. But if you want, you can just paint the dog with the brush with the whatever color you used for the top portion. Since it is white here, I'm just taking some white. Okay. And we are done.
9. Project 6: Flowers with simple brush work: For our next project, let's kick it up a notch and add some brushwork. Painting on the bottle. Will paint the bottle with a single color or multiple colors. First, either with the sponge or the paintbrush. And try to paint some simple patterns like these on top of the glass. So this is going to be very simple. You don't really have to be mastered of brushwork. If you just know the basics of painting with brush, painting patterns with brush, that would be more than sufficient kill. When you're painting with brush and making a smooth surface on the bottle, the approach that I usually take us paint the Firstly, with white color. White color is very opaque. Usually these moves more opaque than any other color. So this kind of gives a very nice background. So when we apply different coloured paint on top of this, it gives a nice smooth surface and rather than making it more transparent, you can either wait for it to dry, but I would not wait for it to die. I'll just apply my next layer of paint on it. If you're waiting for it to dry, then just wait for it to dry completely a 100%. Because if it is semi bright, then there is a chance that the venue or applying the second coat of paint, the first layer of white might chip off. Either wait for the pain to completely dry or just as soon as you're done with the first layer of white, continue with your second layer so that they blend one. So again, I would like to mention here that if you guys are not comfortable or when you are trying this, you do not see that it's giving you a nice texture or a nice layer of color. Map is expected heard on how you are seeing on my bottle. You can always go back to the sponge technique because that's very easy and it's kind of stress-free and it's fun to. Another thing you have to notice that I am painting in one direction. I'm not painting vertical first and then going horizontal or in any direction that I wish for because it kind of changed the flow of the pain or the pain brushstroke. So I would suggest always painting one direction. Alright, so I'm done painting my first layer. I'll wait for it to dry. I have waited half enough for the pain quotes to dry completely. So here you have a smooth surface rather than the textured surface. Again, just for comparison, you can see what the difference. We could also bend something like this, which is really simple and also goes with the scholars. And we're gonna take a dry brush. This is a thin brush and you will need a name for this. So I'm not going to do anything complicated. I'm just going to make by tilts like this. So you'll see it's not really that complex. I'm just going to make their tools out of these. So you can just try on paper for ones just to figure out how to use your brush and working off predators or how big the brush petals should be. Still the first one I made four petals. We can just do for tetanus as well, need not be always five better than expected or something like that. Left peo comfort. Next I painted white color. Now with this wide helping the center of these flowers with bread, I had been the center of my class. Okay. Next step is paint, painting the stem for and binding on the bottle is not as easy as painting on paper. So especially when you're just trying it out for the first time, don't stress too much on perfection of thes. And just have fun. So you have a simple orange color backdrop and some plasmid brush. We can just paint all over. So what I'll do is I'll just do another pattern with bigger flowers on the other side. So I'll just do some big flags, some big petal, simple spectacle. So you see these are just simple flat patterns that I have been did. Nothing complicated. I have some cute little flags there. So next I will make the center and the center of it some yellow. Or you can use white. Simple, isn't it? You can just add some more leaves, some tiny green leaves around it or something like that. I just add one more book. So here we have our second simple pattern with flour on a plain background. Design number one. Design number two.
10. Project 7: Cactus illustration: In this project, let's paint assemble cactus illustrations such as this one. Will paint some orange background. First. I'm using poster colors for this project. I will take the corners of my glass jar to get a clean increase. I will be mixing white and yellow and a little ginger Fred in the comics. Makes sure that the background does not turn out to Doug, which is why I'm adding a lot of weight. Now all you have to do is that with the sponge and create the background. In the reference, we can see that there is a little bit of red on the right corner. So I'm taking a bit of red in the dabbing sponge and just apply it to the right side. After waiting for about half an hour, the paint has completely dried. Now I'm going to print the characters on it. This factors, the long ones are pretty easy to pain because they're just long brush strokes. But in case you're still not confident you can use marker to draw on this first and then paint on it. So just for the sake of Bembo, a make one characters using the smart girl, I'll just make the boundary in Dart. If I draw too hard, the paint will come off, which is why I am just making dots. So I'm going to paint this factors based on the sketch. They are the 13 halves so that you can see both the approaches. The, i already have light green. I can paint directly on the bottle. But if you do not have pre-mixed color, you can always mix them on a ballot. So I'm taking some like green and painting the first layer of factors which is in light green first. It's pretty simple, just paint inside the boundary. Another thing I would like to say is painting these intricate details becomes difficult when the size of the bottle or the size of the surface becomes small. I'm just using smaller bottles for the sake of the demo. Given a chance, I would recommend you guys to start painting on a bigger surface. That will be much easier. So this is my first characters and windowpane, the second Cactus, the bidder one. Do not paint on Doppler effect over and over again. That will just activate the bay underneath, especially when you're painting with the boaster colors. If you're painting with diacrylate, then that's not an issue. So you see these are actually simple. You can also paying them freehand. Take some red and some here. The hot desert sun. Another tip while painting freehand circles, always start with the very tiny dot and then just keep building it and make it bigger. So to make this darker green lines inside, I'll just wait for this first layer to dry and then I'll build my paint on top of it that this is a small surface. Might cactuses as it is small. So if you think you find it difficult to make these inner lines with the brush, then you can just use market again and make those kinds of lines inside. Instead of making a green bank, I don't have bad green with me to make this green dark. I'm just going to pick some that Blue and mix it with my green to get the darker green column. If you already have that green and you do not have a light green, then just add a little bit of yellow to your dad Greek, it'll make it lighter. Rossum line inside it likely saved me in my brush flag. Make it flat. Very late 19th. C does not drive. The paint will come off when just wait for it to dry completely. And then being the length inside the lead braze, I'll remove the devs. This is almost dried. So you can see I'm trying to get complete straight line. I'm just pulling dotted lines. The remaining blue, dark green, and kind of the ground. Or you can say is the land on which the scepter is growing. We're done.
11. Project 8,9: Cascaded mountain and forest canopy: The whole bottle with white and a little, little bit of red. If you have pink, you can use pink. I have fused white and a little bit of red, so it just turned out to be like pink when I dab then mix the paint is completely dry. Please note that when you're making an detailed landscape or a detail painting, a make sure that this background or this first coat of paint, a 100% and completely dried. Here are some reference images that you can paint. I'll try to paint both her on half side. I'd been the mountains and on the other half I'll try to paint the trees so that you have tutorial to paint both. And you can do whichever image that you like the most. Now this mountain range, you can see that there are multiple mountains. It might be a few. Find it difficult to do it free hand, then you can use a marker or append. I would prefer that you guys use gel pen. If you're using a pen, something that does not ballpoint cause if you rest on the spin, it will leave a mark. So you have to make sure that you draw very lightly. So if you're using a pen, you can draw something very light like this, a boundary. Since you have already applied one layer of paint, it will allow you to write or draw something with the gel pen. If you're using market, it's still find. Solve this half. I'll do the mountain range similar to this one, keeping the same reference. There are 1234 layers of mountain. You can paint any number of layers, but I'll just paint maybe some three layers. So I'll just continue this on the bottom. And it's also to go down because the site will paint some trees. So here at the same, i will not paying too many mountain ranges. I just leave it empty here, like this. And I'll draw. So you see, I have 1234 mountain and then I draw a moon or something over here. When you're painting this, you see all these are basically different hues of blue, light blue. This is a very Dhaka disk is getting darker and this is their darkest. Now beginning with the dark blue. I hold it upside-down since I already have the boundary. At this point, our job is just filling colors inside the. A boundary that we have marked. So I fill my first layer. Next, I want some light blue. I want a lighter tone. So I have a light blue color. So I'm mixing this dark blue and light blue. But if you do not have light blue with you, then you can just keep on mixing a little bit of white everytime the second mountain on top of this will be painted with this later. Don't just paint within the line. And on top of the market or depend mark that you have done in case you do not want to, do not want that market to be visible. Because it's just basically, it's just to help you understand the borders. And if you're comfortable to do free-hand, then just do it freehand. So my second layer of mountain has done. So. Next layer is still more later. So I'm adding some more light blue to this mix and making it even more later. For my first letter, I have used accurately color for secondly, for this painting also, you can use acrylic paint or you can use poster color on top of acrylic color. That will also work fine. Next does my last layer. So I just use only the light blue. You can also use white, even rightly look nice as the last layer. You know what I think I'll make some white to disseminate, get really light. You see our mountain range is. Now I'll take some white. Considering this as the center of the viewing point. I loved the moon here. You can add some stars as. Now, let's try to paint trees like this. The sun is really simple, so I am just taking this dark blue. And from the right from here, this keep dabbing in the shape of the tree. Example. I like to leave some being a Pink shade or some sort of thinking between just to add some effect of foliage. And that's it. We have our tree foliage and some tree trunks and branches. I'm adding some Benny foliage here, just like these ones. So if you paint on a bigger bottle, you can make nice thick foliage. Since this bottle is small, I'm not going to add too much. And you just take some light-colored and add some light brush, light-colored brushstrokes and the bottom and some more dark on the top. That said, you have trees on one side. And as you go around, you see mountain.
12. Project 10: Final landscape : This will be our final project. Will combine all the different ideas that we have learned in the previous classes and make a bigger painting here. This is a larger borderline comparison with that other bottles that we have been dead on. Which is why we can add a lot of details in this. So let's begin. So half of my bottle is stripped down, Hafiz MD. I'm going to use the poster colors here. You can always do the same thing with acrylic paint as well. No restrictions whatsoever. You do not have these scholars. You can alternatively use black instead of this dark blue. But when you're transitioning, you'll need some sort of glue to mix with the black. So use any other blue that you have. If you do not have this Florida same thing, you can use any regular pink. And if you do not have bank, you can use red or orange, then you have yellow and then I'm using white. So these are the kind of sad and willing to use. The portion here, I will have something like a mountain and then some trees here. And this is, this part is for the Skype. So I will not bother much about this. I'm just going to paint this with weight so that I can paint this layered on top of this layer again with some other color with the darker color. So I'm going to take a lot of white in the bottom. White first, and then some yellow, then some pink. And then the dark blue. I do not want to mix the light colors inside this dark blue bottle. That's values, they're different brush. And beginning from the top, and I'll start dabbing my dark blue. Then my pink Diabelli climate here so that it mixes. Remember how we did the gradation. And you're going to get that gradation here. Pink mixing with the yellow. And then mixing length, right. So I'll just continue around the bottle with the same color. So you see my right has become lighter yellow because I'm mixing it with the yellow that I have. So basically you just want a nice gradation as blue, pink, yellow, and a very lightweight. So I'm just going to go over this again. Replace some color on the back portion. And I also feel that the pink is missing here. So I'm adding a bit of pink as well. And think. And we'll add blue in the end. I actually want to be quantitative bit of pink here on the top. And this going to do a little bit of pink. And they can use punch so that it doesn't get me exclude any other color and may be pain that pink. So here I have a nice mixture of dark blue, pink, yellow, and a bit mixed with pink. So it has turned out to be a nice orange. A very like Dawn men as it comes to the bottom. Removing all the tapes. Now, I love this so much. Looks mines. Now, this top portion, I do not like this purple spider leading me that I have been done before. It's kind of not going along with this. So I want to ping the salting with dark blue and probably make some stars. Now the paint on my bottle has completely dried. I also painted the nozzle of the bottle with the dark blue color to match with this. However, I've left some space here that the glass of the glass, it's just my artistic choice. But if you guys like you can just be no, being the whole thing that blew my previous market, whatever I had drawn, you see you can see it. Taking them blue color. I leave this portion of the light color I just spoke painter. Second. Mountain of mine are the second Valley. Only the second Monday, the first value, I'll just leave it below. Being very careful you're at the border. So here I have a nice layer of valley or Montezuma. And even if you want to campaign this width, lighter blue, like I want to keep it a bit yellow right now. Let us see how it turns out. And then I'll paint another layer here with a very light blue. So for that I'll take some white and mixed with this to get a light blue. And that's it. Next is pretty simple. Nothing much. I'm just going to paint pine tree that dark blue color. If you can pay these kind of simple tree, the foliage one which we learnt how to paint. Or you can gain pine trees like bees. If I have a tutorial of how to pain binaries on my YouTube channel, I lambda link in the description. So you can just head over there and just have a quick look. It's less than ten minutes video. Similarly. Thirdly, now let's paint some stars. One approach can be with the brush. Take some white paint on the brush, and you just paint the audio, just drop some white dots to look like star. Another B. And easier than simpler way or multifactor via would like to see is by adding splat does by using an old brush. I'm using my old group pressure. So let me cover the area variable mark one does blood does to fall with the tissue. I just want my BlackBerry. I just take some paint and put it on the brush, some white paint. And I put it on the tip of my brush. And I'm just going to make some sublattice. So there you go. A lot of stars got added on the blue sky. Now again with the brush, I'll just make some bigger ones. Thing this has enough. If you'd like to add ammonia, can add one here, but I don't want to add. And now we are done. It looks a little mp here. So I'm going to add one more tree. And via them.
13. Protective layering: Now that we're done with all our painting, let's look into what is the best way to preserve them and onward kind of paints. Do we need to actually apply these coatings of preserving the paint? I personally have tried these two mediums as a predictive coating on the glass to prevent the pain from iterating or chipping of making it water-proof. One is this deco, our triple tick, brilliant brush1 gloss cleaves. This basically is a glazing medium. And when you apply this on the, on any medium, not just glass, it just adds a glaze and make the surface waterproof. However, this is a bit expensive. In comparison with My second option, which is woodward niche. I got this from the local hardware store, have no dessert after around two years. The colour of the glass, for example, if you are applying this coat on transparent glass like this one, it tends to turn a little bit yellowish after around two to three years, but matting immediate. So delta 23 years it stays white, but overtime, I have noticed that it becomes a bit yellowish. Apart from that, I have no complaints with this medium Venera playing these one niche courts, make sure that they are using some cheap brush and not an expensive one because especially if you're dipping aggression towards finish, it kind of becomes unusable as the bristles will harden off when the water dries off. So just do some cheap brushed. I am putting my surface with a plastic sheet so that it's not painted with the one niche. Another important point that I would like to discuss here is if you have painted on your border using acrylic paint, then it's not really necessary that you need to apply a varnish order coat on. And they have this painting that I painted on the bottom, 40 years back and I use to acrylic paint for this c. This doesn't come off that easily. And I have not applied varnish. And this is four-year-old bottle and it is still as freshers nu. So if you're painting with acrylic paint, you don't really need to apply one niche. So you add is another one that I painted with acrylic paint. If you're painting with a medium like boasted colored, which is a bit light and it's not as sticky or doesn't stick as the acrylic paints the con, the glass. So you see if I rub on it, it will just come off. So if your medium is this loose and not do sticky on the surface, then you need to apply one niche audience, long-lasting life. Otherwise, it will just do both. Or by chance, a drop of water falls on it, the paint will come off. So you need to apply a varnish, especially when you're painting that poster color, which is why I suggested earlier if you're going to buy new pain for this class better by acrylic paint. This will be much more easier because you don't really have to use any kind of warning shot, any coding medium to preserve the paint on it. I have not shaken this. If you shake it too much it there'll be bubbles formed on it and that same bubble gets transferred on your bottle. Now let's apply what niche on this paint. Make sure that when you're applying one is demat, too hard on the surface and just skim it lightly just to help those warnings flow on gas. There is also an upside to using water niche. That does, it kind of gives a very glossy effect on the surface of the painting that you have painted on the board to make sure that the extra extra Warner's just drips back. I have covered all the corners. Now. We'll just leave it aside to dry. I wouldn't use any paper surface to keep it on to dry and just keep it on this plastic surface itself. Because if it is paper, it will stick and it'll be very difficult to remove ones. The varnish dries off, so I'll just leave it on the plastic. Similarly, I'll continue with the rest of the paintings.
14. BONUS: Some Ideas for your inspiration: So based on the sketch, I have got the leaf shape. I LL upload the sketch in the resource section for your reference. I have cut these and this one similar to this one out. Since I have a CON colored bottle, I can paint on both the sides because it's not transparent. This is colored bubble and already there is a color behind it, so it's not going to interfere much with the effect. Let's go ahead and add the color on the bottle. Removing the tapes now. So these two, I paint the inner part of this transparent portion that you're left with these kinds of leaf pattern with white. You can use red or yellow or something like that, but I'll use white. Okay. I have painted this other side with some colorful leaves. Go ahead and cut different shapes of masking tape and get creative with this technique. Here's another project idea for you guys. I have painted this majestic columns and using the technique and just debating the size of my dots and just arranging them in line. This is super, super, super easy and I really loved this outcome. Here is my third idea for you guys to try out. I am going to bend cascaded mountain hills. And at first I just mark the mountains with Marco. Now I apply the first coat of white paint on this. I'm just going to pay only the Cascade Mountain and not the entire bottle here. Wait for the right to completely dried. Once it dries, you can still see the outline that you have drawn with the mockup. Now that the help of that outline just fill in the cascaded mountain with different use of color. So basically the concept here is same as spawns dabbing instead of using spawn, Sure, I'm just using brush here and our dabbing the layer to paint within the boundary of what I had done bit mockup. So instead of babbling with sponge, I'm just babbling with my brush. So for this, it's better if you use a thin brush order smaller brush that will give you better control of dabbing. I'm going to paint layers of dark blue. Lilac, again are dark blue and a lighter purple color. You can get creative and try out with your own favorite color combination. Adding a moon and some stars and WIIFM. Moving on to the fourth project idea, which is painting illustration on up Lean colored background. For the background, as usual, I first painted with white and then added some color to it. This gives me a nice solid background. Once this background completely dries, I'm going to paint some botanical illustration on it. I would like to remind you guys that there is a difference between painting on paper and painting on a glass. When you paint on a glass, the end results might not be asked cluster as fine as you see on paper. So it's okay if the result doesn't look just the same as you see on Paypal. Similarly, you can paint all these different illustrations on the glass. Now having done this, you can also add some mood effects if you have market. So I have a mako here. What I'll do here is I have used only vibrate, so I'll just draw a border. For this one with the market. I've left some of the paint insight. Don't press too hard, otherwise a bank might come off, just drove Eddie light. So this is another cool effect that you can add. The marker. That is once you have painted the background or the background and make sure that this court is completely a 100% dry. Once this is dry, you can just doodle on top of the background. Here is an old project that I painted on big Barton almost 40 years back. I painted this with acrylic paint and I have not applied any warnings or protective coat. So what I actually did was I painted some circles with different colors and I use different pain to pain pattern inside these circles. However, when you paint with just the pain Diane brush inside it will not look as catchy and attractive because it's glass and get a neat crease of these different designs, it's a bit difficult. So once I was done painting these patterns with pain, I used market and outlined those patterns. Or that's the trick of making nice colorful doodles on the bottle.
15. Conclusion: I have used in the class are upcycled. So this gives you a sense of satisfaction of upcycling these bottles and creating the IVDU Lego Radio, please. I hope this class helps you get in touch with your creative side. So guys, go ahead and have fun, no stress and just green and beautiful art on these bottles. If you guys enjoyed the class, please leave a review. This would help me a lot. Also, don't forget to upload your project on skill share. I'll be waiting to see them. You can also get in touch with me over Instagram, my handlers at brush brandon, Everything.
16. NEW Bonus class: flower bloom: Hi guys. I posted this glass bending over my Instagram Stories few days back. And many of you messaged me to add the semi-skilled share as well. So I'll teach you how to pin this and let's go ahead and paint on this working. So the basic technique that do need to follow here is load the brush completely with band. So gibberish completely with paint. And then at the tip of the brush, take the later Gallo and Berlin down. So you dress and fan out your brush and pull it down. Here, what I have done is I have mixed combined to brush strokes and folder down gametes are better. But you can also just painter single battle as well. So I've taken completely read and just some late coloring the IP. And so when you touch the brush on the surface, you press hard. And as you pull down your lift door, blush. Again. Press first. And as you come to me and you keep pulling their brush up. So that's pretty much the whole painting is based on that. So what you can do is either paint to brush strokes for one petal or like these ones are single battle brushstrokes. Basically, what we need to do is we have to take complementing colors, one dark and one light and dark red here, and cream color. If you do not have these complimenting colors you can always take or dark colored and white. So you can take red and white. Are you can take blue and white. Let's begin. I've taken a clean brush, completely soaking my brush with the red paint. So you see I am spreading my medicines here so that an AI being done the bottle didn't mean that it will find out nicely. And you me that my expected effect. And now I'll take some light-colored and on the dip. And starting from the top to run takes a more red. And the second stroke, 22. Keeping this as center in case you find it difficult to imagine the center. Then just have a big dot here to give you a sense of where the center is. Again, I'm taking some color and light color on the tip. Keep Dunning the bottle so that you can surrender yourself for the brush stroke. So here's my first flower. Also you can add single stroke Petal as well. To, again, this is my S2. Three, full, just single stroke. So you see the difference between this and this is a single stroke and the C's multiple stroke are two stroke thought, one better. I fast-forward the video now and paint some more flowers. Now with some dark blue. I make the center of these flowers. Taking some dark blue. If you do not have dark blue, you can use black. It's going to make some dots. Okay, so now let's add some blue flowers as well. For that, I will use dark blue and the scholar the cream color. Or I also have this lavender color, which is a lighter version of this blue. So I loose combination of these two. If you're painting on a colored bottle, I would suggest not to use dark blue because our dark blue might not look as bright as the red color. Because a bottle is already colored. So I'm just going to follow the same, same technique, not indifferent. They just add some flowers here. Tiny ones. To paint these floods, you might need a little bit of practice because this involves brushstroke technique. So even if you're a beginner, then I would see it. This is nothing difficult. Just practice on people once or twice. And do you get the hang of it? And I'm pretty sure you can learn it very soon. Mixing all three colors, blue, green and purple. Red flower here as well. I right now, for these dark blue flag, I lose this light color for the center. And that does it. If you want, you can add some leaves as well. I will just show you one or two leaves and take some green. Again, I've fan it out nicely. And then just like how I did the battle has been the single stroke, VIP green for leaf. If your brain is very transparent, then mix it with white or any color that goes opaque. It's good enough. So here you go. Another thing that you can do is you can take this light color and just make one or two dots in the, a 11 dot in the center. And then add some red for these blue ones in the sand. Just making it a bit more caliphate. Can now I'm happy with it.
