from the course. So first things first, welcome to the course. I'm so grateful
that you are there. In this video, let me
actually introduce you what will exactly cover
throughout our journey, Why notion is so so powerful or even how to properly
operate the course. Basically, let's start with, what makes notion
really special? Notion is like one
really big box where you can just store
anything seriously. I mean by that, you can create a workout calendar
task management list, space for accounting
book of recipes, for example, Habit tracker
and a lot of more. And now, let me show you
quickly, why this is so great. Right there, I've got the
page for the recipes, where I just store the recipes
that I liked in the past. And for example, there, I've
got the spaghetti Bolase, or whether the
chocolate brownie. And this entire element looks like a table
that you could see, for example, in the Excel
or whether Google Dog. But this is the special table. Because right there
you can see we've got something like
the categories, but those categories can
have different form. For example, in this one column, we can only choose
the one option. So the preparation time. But in this one, we've
got the multi select, so we can select from
a multiple options. And there we've got
suddenly the pace where we can provide the
link to the our recipe, and in a mere seconds,
we can open it. But what is even better? We can actually fulfill
the description for the specific recipe with the use of the AI
in a mere seconds, and that how we can do this. Also, when you choose
the specific recipe, you can open the page for it. So there you've got
all of the information and nice form. Also
there you can see. We've got the images, the headings, and
everything that we want. And basically, this is so
powerful, because actually, inside of, for example, one page, for example,
in the recipes, we can have a multiple
pages in the Google Doc, for example, or
whether the word, we can have the multiple files, but actually we
can connect them, and for example, create the page and the
pages inside of it. But actually with the notion, we can do the stuff really easily and in a
nice really form. Also in this class,

different exercises to practice and refine
your knowledge. Next, we'll go forward
to the Notion AI, where I will show you
how to exactly use it, every feature that we have
available on the website, and then ahead, we'll go
over to the section with the best use cases of the
notion AI inside of the notion. So basically, there, I will
show you my proven methods, how to use AI in the
most effective way to boost your productivity
and save a lot of your time.
3. Let's Set Up Notion Account & Free Gift: In this lecture,
we'll take a look on how to set up the entire
account at the notion. And basically I have for you right there the free
gift to download. So namely ten ready to use templates for any purposes
inside of the notion. And basically you are able to download it in the
resources of this lecture and this is something
really awesome because by downloading
the templates, you've got some
examples on how you can use the notion and
basically for which purposes. All right. Also like for now you can struggle a
little bit how to use it, but basically after
completing this course, you will know
everything about it. All right, so basically
how to use the templates. Nevertheless, you can go
over and try it out and basically like try to use it
on your own nevertheless. For now, let's go over and
actually cover how to set up the account and the notion if you already have an account, you can skip this part. Nevertheless, if you don't, just go over to the resources of this lecture where I will put the exact link to the page where you can
like create your account. All right, if you click on it you'll see this
entire interface. The only thing that
we need to do is to click on this button,
get notion free. Afterwards you've got
some options you can provide your e mail which will be assigned
to your account. Or whether continue and sign up with the Google
or whether the Apple. For now, I would like
to provide my e mail after you need to check
your e mail for the sign up code and actually copy and
paste it right there so I have my code and now I can click Create new account there. Just provide your name. All right. Now just
set the password. All right, and if you would like to receive the
marketing e mails, you can check this box or not. And now click Continue. There are the last one
options to choose. Now you can see it's
getting ready and our account is very close to
be created, that we have it. We successfully
created our account. Now what is even better, as I told at the beginning, I've got for you the gift. So namely ten ready
to use templates. And now I will show you how to download it for your account and basically set up in your workspace as I
told at the beginning. Go over to the resources
of this lecture where I attached the link
for this one template. All right, and click on it. And basically we'll have
this one entire page. To basically download
this entire page, we need to go over to
the right top corner. And now click on this
one icon, so duplicate. And now you see like
the notification, duplicating notion, a
course to my work space. All right, and it takes only 1 minute or
whether a second. And we can see it if the process is completed at the
left side of the page, on the side bar, you
should have this one page. So notion a course and basically that's how you downloaded
the entire templates. And at the beginning,
I need to say if you are not already familiar
with the notion, sometimes you may have some
problems on how to use it. Basically, you don't probably know how to use the
notion as the tool, but definitely after completing this course and basically
after the first one section, or whether the second one, you will know how
to exactly use it, but you know this is
like the reminder. But basically now
let's go over for someone template and see
what we have inside. So basically let's go over
to the final structure, for example, when you open it, you will see like this
one entire file with a lot of different
options, pages, et cetera. And basically, like the notion
is very intuitive tool. So basically you can see
what you can do inside. For example, there
we've got the expenses, so I can add a new expense. And now let's see
what we have inside. We can open this page. For example, select the account, so for example, saving account, the category of the expense. So we've got the
utilities transport, investment shopping,
for example. Whether the foot, I can
go over with the foot, that's perfect, the date. So this is the today and for
example, the total amount. So I would say $50 So there
we already had the expense. So the groceries, oops, we didn't change the name of it. We can go over and say it's, for example, for the restaant. All right, and now we can
see we've got the $50 The $50 so outcome
value is $100 So this is 10% of our monthly budget
when it comes to the food. Also there we've got the
utilities, as I told, shopping, learning, et
cetera, if you would like. There you can select the
account, for example, right there, you've got
the balance, for example. You can change it and
do everything about it. So we've got a lot of different
categories, et cetera. Also there at the left
side, you've got the menu. So we can go over to the account and there it will show
you all of your accounts. You can change it as I told. All right, so all of the values. All right, basically
the expenses or even you've got there the
subscription, for example, to the HBO or whether the
Disney as you would like there, As I told you've got a lot of different options
in just one place. Even more. Let's take a look on the workout tracker for example. All right? And even you can change something
inside. All right. So after this course, you will
be able to do this easily. But for now, for example, let's add something
like the exercise. All right, so there we've
got the exercise library, so we can add something. We've got the bench press, the difficulty level,
we can choose it. This is the easy
muscle group there. We've got the chest, the nodes, the RL, or whether
the equipment there. When we just close this page, you will see it will update and there we've got
everything about it. The new exercise there. I just wanted to show
you some templates and basically as
you can see there, you've got ten of
them, all right? Ten really advanced templates. And basically, I promise after this course you will be able to use them really
easily. All right? For now it can be some complex
for you, but afterwards, when you will know how to
use basically the notion, it will be very easy and really effective for your
exact purposes. So in this lecture, we set up

4. Explore Notion Subscription: In this lecture, let's
actually take a closer look on the pricing plans that we have available inside
of the notion. And at the beginning, let
me make this very clear. If you're using the notion only for the personal purposes, you don't have the company, the workers, and you're not collaborating
with a lot of people. Like in most cases, free plan will be very enough. Therefore actually I like to say that the notion
is the free toll. Because mostly as I told
there, in the free plan, you have everything
that you need inside of the notion when you're using it for the
personal purposes. Of course, we'll cover all of the plans for you to
better understand it. So maybe you're interested
in the plus plan, or the business plan,
or even the enterprise. Let's take a look
on the free plan and compare it with
the plus plan. For example, in the
free plan you can invite up to ten guests
inside of your workspace. And in the plus plan
you can actually invite 100 guests inside of your workspace to
collaborate with them. All right, with the free plan, you can integrate
the notion with, for example, the Slug
Github and more. So there we've got a lot of different applications and there we've got another difference. For example, in
the plus plan you have the unlimited file uploads. And in the free plan also
you can upload the files, but up to like the 5 megabytes. All right, so within
this 5 megabytes size. So with the free plan,
you can actually upload a big files
inside of your notion, but it's not a big deal. I would say the plus plan is for the small company owners
and the people that are working inside of the
notion and having a lot of guests inside of
their work space, et cetera. And there the free plan
can be like not enough. On the other hand, when it
comes to the business plan, I think this is the great choice for the medium sized companies. And there you've got a lot of different additional things. Also we've got something
like the enterprise, but it's something for the
really huge organizations. Mostly we are interested in the free plan
or the plus plan. When we scroll down, you'll see more details about
the specific plans. Also like the features
available in the particular, like the pricing plans. All right, So that
we can notice, for example, with the free plan, we've got a lot of them. So as I thought in most cases
it will be very enough. If you would like, you can
go over there and like explore all of these
features that we have it. In this lecture, we covered the pricing plans in the ocean. And as I told, in most cases
you will use the free plan, even I recommend you to pick this one when you're starting your journey
with the notion. All right, because later
you can switch the plan. All right, so from the three to the plus or whether
the business, if you will have more
requirements when it comes to the plan for
now, that's everything. I will see you in

5. Let's Take a First Look at Notion!: With that being said
in this lecture, let's take the first look on the notion and how
it basically works. When you log into your account, you should be on the page
called Getting Started. And on the left
side of the page, you should have a lot
of different options. For now, we'll keep
all of them because they will explore them in a specific lecture
in this course. And now let's focus on the option at a page.
Let's click on it. So basically in the option
we'll create the pages for the specific purposes and
there you can see all of them. All right, so for example, those one pages were created by the default while
setting our account. All right? And this one
page called entitled was created a few seconds ago and
we are already in it now. For example, we can set
the title for this page. We will take the
page number one, and there you can notice
that the name changes. All right, so the name
of our page for now, we've got our title
for the page. And we can click
on the empty page to create the page
from the scratch. And now you can see that we have the block and we can type, for example, the text for
this page we can type. This is the first
page in the notion. Basically what makes
notionary special from other tools such as Microsoft Word or
whether Google Docs is that our page is there
built with the blocks. For example, we'll
be able to create the block for the numbered list, for the bulleted
list for the table. And those blocks are
really flexible. And later I will show you this. Basically we are designing the entire page by creating the specific blocks and
building it with it. Next to our text that we typed, you can see that we have
two different icons, this plus and this dot. All right, when we
click on this plus, we'll be able to
add the new block. For example, there we can add the heading and type something. This is heading one again, we can click on the
plus, for example. For that case, we can add
the image. All right. We can click on it
and add the image. Upload the file. Actually we've got this image of
this beautiful dog. All right, with the plus, you can actually
add the new blocks. With these dots, you
can move the blocks. All right, For instance, I can move the image above
our heading one or even I can move it there or whether provide the
text below the heading. Actually, as I thought it's really great insight
of the notion that we can move easily like
each block like in a second. All right, as we would like, we can design it
like this or whether put the image in any
location as we want. But what is even better
is that, for example, we can take this text, for example, Insert
it next to our image. All right, there you will
have this blue line, all right, which is vertical. And if I drag and drop this, you can see our image
will appear right there. There You can see we
can do a lot of stuff. For example, like
insert Damage on the right side and on the
left side have the text. All right. For example, I will past some text. Now we can see even, we can add right there the text. So we can click on the
plus, Add the text. For example, This
is the simple text. All right, and now we can even inserted next our image
on the right side. Now for example, we have the three columns
and as I told you, can drag and drop it everywhere. All right, so for example, the text right there, the
heading right there, all right, below our image,
our image drag and drop below our text and
included in the first column. So as you can see, you can do a lot of stuff and for example, design it as you want. The next one notion advantage
is really powerful. For example, let's take a look
on the Google Docs there. We can refer to the other
page by providing the link, but actually we can't connect the specific document
with other documents. We are not able to do the connections between
the specific elements. But in the notion
it's really possible actually there we can have the pages and the
sub pages of them. All right, and the sub sub
pages of the sub pages. This is something really
incredible because actually we can do the connections between
the specific elements. For example, we can go over, click on the plus and pick the page and will be
redirected to the new page. So we can type sub
page two, empty page. For example, there in
the leftop corner, we've got our location. So when we are already. All right, so in
the subpage two, if we click on the page one, all right, there you will see like the reference
to the sub page two. Actually, if we go over to the our side bar on the left side of the page and we'll expand
the page number one, you will see that we have
the sub page number two. This is something
really amazing there. Also, you can
notice I've created the sub page three for my
sub page two. All right. I would say this is
the first one layer, the page one which is initial, this is the second one layer, so the subpage two, and this
is the third one layer. All right, there it
works in that way. When you want to add the
block for any of your page, you have basically
two ways to do this. All right. As I told, you can go over and click on this and there add
the new block. But basically there is the
second one way to do this. You can go over and
types and type, for example, what would
you like to receive. For that case, I can go
over with the heading tool. All right, and I can
type something there. This is heading two. I can type enter and
add the next one block. So I can type, for example now the text. We can type the text. This is the text basically. In the future you will
use this one method because it's more
comfortable and more handy. All right, than
clicking on the plus. Basically, as I told you
can add the new blocks by typing the slash and choose the right
block that you want. So actually we've got
it. In this lecture, we took the first look on the notion and it
could be a little bit overwhelming because
there we've had a lot of different
information at the beginning. But if so, don't worry it was the first one
meet with the notion. And in the next one lecture, we are going to the basic blocks that we have available
in the notion.
6. Discover Basic Blocks: In this video, let's start
covering the types of the different blocks that we have available in the notion. The first one, the
most common block that we already
covered is the text. So we can go over and type text. All right, now we can do
a lot of stuff of it. For example, if we
highlight some part, we can firstly create
the link to it. All right, so provide the link to our website for example. I can type, That's great there. This website will be linked. All right, afterwards we can highlight some text and
create the comment to it. All right, so we can
add the comment. This is solid sentence, for example. That's great There. It will be highlighted with the yellow background
and the yellow, more intense color outline. Afterwards, we can
make the text bold, italicize it, or
whether underline it. All right, as you would like
or even if you would like, you can go over and
strike through the text. It's not useful in many cases, but this option is All right. Afterwards you've got the option to make the text as a code. All right. Like this also there, you can change the
text color, All right. For example, to the
purple as you would like. You can go over and change the background color
right there below to the, for example, Blow
the next one block that we already
covered is the page. Also. The page is the
block, all right? Because actually we can move it around as we would
like to do this. All right, so to
create the page, you can type the page. Basically, it will
redirect you to the blank space where you can actually create your
page as we cover it. Next we've got the block
called to the list. All right, For example, you can type to the list. There you have the check box. You can check it or not
and provide the text. For example, it breakfast. Now it will strike through
like the text when it's done. And you can provide
multiple check boxes when you just type enter. All right. Provide the text. So for example, dinner, another one check
box will appear. Okay, You can type the lunch. That's how it works. Next we've got the bullet at
least. All right. So we can type, for
example, something there. For example the car. Click Enter and provide something else. The bicycle, actually, if
you will click the tab, then you will receive something like the sub point subsection. All right, so there
you can see we've got our bullet list and there the sub point
in the subsection. You can click Enter.
Then also we will. Got it again. If you will press the tab, you will have another one, I would say the
subsection. All right. If you will provide the text, for example, again the car. Then you will click
the shift, All right? And the enter there, you will receive something like the indentation in
the text, right? We can see I'm like holding the shift and
clicking the Enter. All right, And if I click Enter, I go over to the next one, subsection next we have
the numbered list. All right, so if
we go over there and type something,
we can click Enter. Now again we can press the tap and we'll
have the sub points. All right, so we can type Sunday again,
everything like this. Next what we have are the
headings. We covered it. But basically there we've got three different
sizes of the headings, heading one, heading
two, and heading three. All right, So we can type
heading one, we've got it. Next we can go
over, for example, type the H two, all right, And it will be the heading two. So this is the shortcut. We've got the heading
two and the H three, so it will be the heading three. Now for example, you can compare the sizes
of those headings. Next what we have is a table. All right, we can type
table, that's great. For example, if we
will click there, we can add the new column. As you can see below, we can add a new row. All right, right there. That's how we can
create the table. Also there we've
got the options. We can create the header row. Header column, it's great. All right, when you would
like to create the grade like table and point the categories
and everything like that. All right, and also
there you have really great option to feed
the table to the page with. All right, if I click there, I can do this easily again. And that's something
really great also there, if you will. For example, pick
this one column. You can dilate it. Clear content, Duplicate,
Insert, right, et cetera. So for example, I
can dilate it again. I can go over and pick
the entire table. You can do this by highlighting the entire are like the block. And again we can fit it to
the page with All right. Same. You can
highlight other parts, for example the headings and for instance
deleted. All right. As you would like, it's
really like comfortable. All right. We can do
the same with the det. You can go over back with
the control Z as you want. That's how we can
do this. Next we have the block
called tagle list. We can type tagle list
and we've got it. For instance, we
can type something, maybe category learning there, for instance, We can copy
this text right there. We can provide the text. This is very comfortable
because for example, when you have some
categories and you have the specific
information for it, you can go over and
create the total list. And for example,
don't have the mass inside of your like
the entire file. All right. For example, you
can create the cooking there. You can expand this to
list again to like this. Also you can move the parts to the togal list
inside, All right. For example the heading again, you can see you
can move the table as you would like like this. And you can see you can do
everything inside of it. The next one block is
specified for the quotes. You can type quote there, pay some quote, it
looks like this. Afterwards we've got
something called divider. It's like the separator
between the specific blocks. It's really handy. For example, you type something and you
can create the divider. It looks much more, I would say elegant
aesthetic. All right. Also you can go over and, for example, highlight
this entire, like the divider, Click control
the copy, for instance. There you can paste
as much as you want. Same with those
blocks, for example, you can click control C, and again, paste as
much as you want. Next, we have something really
handy because sometimes we would like to refer to other page inside of the notion. We can go over and type
link to page there. If we click on it,
you can see we can refer to some page,
for example the journal. If we click on it will be
redirected to the journal. The last one block for
this video will be the call out so we can call out. This is great for some
tips, I would say. The notifications, weather
reminders. All right. Because you can type
something like there, this is something more eye
catchy because there you have the entire
block in different, like the colors with the gray. And there you can
set, for example, the MOG for this, the fire. This is something great
when, for example, have some text article
and you want to provide the notification or whether
some tip so that we have it. In this lecture,
we covered most of the basic blogs that we have

7. Additional Basic Blocks That You Should Know!: Notion. Actually we've got other additional
basic blocks that we can use and they are
really useful and handy. First things first, we
can attach the image. But actually when we do this we can not only
upload the image, but basically embed
the link or right from the image or whether
choose from the splash. This is very useful
for example because we can type the cat there, we can attach the image
of the cat in a second. With the unsplash, you have a huge library of the photos
inside of the notion. And this is really useful and
really like the handy tool. All right, also there you
can upload the gifts. All right, so there you can
see we can upload something. Let's pick something
like this next. What we can do, actually we can upload the video
inside of the notion. We can type video for instance
there, embed the link. All right, so we can
provide the link there. You'll see we've got, for example, the video
from the Youtube. You can play it,
you can go over to the left side of the
page. All right. So it works for sure, but that is not all because also we can provide
the audio file. All right, so we can type
audio and there we can upload something basically in the notion we can provide
the links for the website. All right, by just
pasting it out, but actually it's not
looking aesthetic at all. We've got better way to do it. We can type web bookmark and there we can
paste this link. All right, so the URL there, you will see we'll got the
title, the small description. All right, like the entire link for this and also the thumbnail. And if you click on it, it will redirect us
directly to the page. Next, we've got the block
tailored for the coding. All right, so we can type
code there for instance. We can paste the code, and you'll see it will
appear like this. All right, you can choose
the language right there and that's something really great when you like to do
the coding stuff. Next what we can actually do, we can attach the file
inside of our notion so we can type the file
and there choose a file. All right, remember when
you have the free plan, you have the limit of the 5
megabytes, so be aware of it. But actually also you can
drag and drop the file also inside of your notion
and it will be the same, all right, as the
typing the file. Next, what we can actually do, and this is really interesting, we can insert the Google
Maps inside of the notion. We can type Google Maps and we've got even the
connection with it. We need to provide the link. For example, we can type the specific location loss
and als, that's great. Go over to the maps right there. Go over right here and
provide the link for it. Go over to our notion,
embed the map. Now we can see we are
inside our Los Angeles. That's something really awesome. Also, if you would like, if you have the image, like any block with
the visualization, you can go over and
shrink it as you want or even expand
it. All right? They're the same with the image. You can go over
there. All right. Shrink it as you want. Basically with the video, you can highlight it and
click there on the border. And now shrink it
as you would like. The last one feature of this video will be
the Google Drive. We can type Google, and we've
got the Google Drive there. Actually, we can insert some file from the Google
Drive inside of the notion so we can embed the link
or whether it brows the Google Drive and there we need to connect the
Google account.
8. Discover All Notion Page Settings: So far we have
covered the basics of the notion how to
create the pages, sub pages, create the specific
blogs, operate on them. And now it's the right time to cover all of the options
that we have on our website. First things first, when we go over to the left
side of the page, we can see our profile. And when we click
on it, we can see like our entire accounts
right there. All right. We can log out from all
accounts or basically switch their accounts
next to the our profile. We've got these two arrows. When we click on
it, we are able to create like I would say the
remote, like the side bar. All right, and then if you want to go over
and back to it, we need to go over
to the leftop corner and click here to
lock the sidebar. And we've got it
below our profile, we've got the search
option there. We can search from a lot of
pages inside of the notion. All right, it's quicker way
to do this basically if you have a lot of pages and there you can see we've
got the sub page three, sub page two that we created, page one and every
stuff like that. Afterwards we have our
option to see the updates. All right, so there we can see the all updates that
we did in the past. Basically, there are all of
the actions that you did. After we have the
settings there, we've got a lot of
different options. For example, my account there. You can change the
name, the e mail. All right, provide the
two step verification. Then our settings there. We can change the appearance,
for example, to the dark. Maybe you'd prefer this one. All right, We can
open the start page. All right, so if
you, for example, open the notion, it will
open the last visited page. Or whether we can switch it to the top page in the sidebar. In our case it will be
getting started below. We can also set the
date and the time. All right, Or whether set it up automatically as you
would like afterwards. We've got our notifications, so we can just manage our settings when it comes
to the notifications. And there you can
enable it or just disabled as you would like
below the notifications. You've got the
connections actually. There you can connect the notion with a lot of applications, all right there for example, the Google Drive one drive,
everything like that. Maybe the Dropbox or
whether the Github. Next we have the
language and the region. So we can change
the language there. The overall settings, we can change the name, set the icon. Or whether set the domain there, we've got the place

your pages will appear. Next we have the calendar

appointments for example, or whether set the dates for the meetings and
something like that. Actually you can go over and connect your notion with
the Google calendar. And for example, there you will have all of the dates
inside of this calendar. Next, we have the feature
to create a team space. If we click on it,
we can set the name of our team space and the
icon, that description. After we've got
the great option, which is templates
there, we can like, for example, search for the templates provided
by the notion there. For example, we have
the templates for the products. There,
you can see it. All right, templates for the marketing or even
expanded, for example. There we have four more and
a lot of them Basically, I recommend you to
go over there and, for instance, even take the template for the
purpose that you want. For example, I can take the social media calendar
and get this template. And there you see it appears in my pages at the right
side of the page. We've got some options. For example, we can share
our page for someone. All right? Or whether
publish it to the website. There we can view all
comments, for example. All right, if any
comments are there, you will see them afterwards. We can see all of the
updates right there. Then you can go over and add
this page to the favorites. Or whether there you have
the three dots there. You've got a lot of options. For example, you can switch and make the text smaller
as you can see. Also make the page with
the full width like this. All right, now you can see we've got the entire
space for our page. Next you've got the option
to customize the page, lock the page to prevent
it from any changes. Right now I can even remove any, like the small element below. You've got the notifications
about the page. You can copy the link
or whether duplicated. And now you can open like
the pages in a side pick. All right, For
example there you can see we can open this
page in the side pick. Also there you can undo the action or just click the
shortcuts for the control Z. There you have the page
history. All right. Page analysis show
detailed pages. All right, or whether it
delay the specific page. Also, we can export
the data from this page or just
import some data.
9. Exercise: Let's Create The Home Page!: Welcome everyone. In
this lecture where we'll cover the first one
project of the course. Basically there we'll
combine everything together, what we have learned so far. From the section number
one in this project, we'll actually
create the home page for our notion workspace. After this video, you
will have the home page for your workspace in the
notion completed and created. With that being
said, let's get into the action and go over
to the left side of the page where we can add
a new page right there. Let's name it as the home page. Now click empty page. Let's basically now go over to the three dots and
make it full with. Now let's go over
and at a cover, let's say I would
like to change it, search something
from the splash. Go over with the
books for example. It looks very cozy. I can go over and pick maybe like this or even
pick something else, for example, this one. All right, it looks better. Now we can go over
and at the icon. Now actually let's start
creating our page. We can go over to
the, for example, type the welcome text. All right, for us,
let's say we would like to pick the color
out right there. We can go over and type maybe
the star, what we have, the star for instance, type something like what
are we doing today? Even we can go over there
and change the color. For example, let's say I would
like to have the yellow. All right, Now let's say I would like to add some additional
look to the page. So I can go over
with the divider and basically place it
right there. All right. Now for instance, I can go over and create the two
different categories. So I would say separate our page into two
different categories. The personal life, all right, so the notion for personal
life purposes and the work. I can go over and
type heading one. For example, type
something like the work. Now I can go over again, type heading one, let's
say personal life. Firstly, I can go over and drag and drop this
one, heading one, and place it next to the work that we have,
our two categories. Below this, we can just
include some pages. For example, if you already
have some pages created, you can insert them right there. Or even you can create them
from the scratch. All right. For example, I can
type the page, now name it as maybe, let's say task management list. Add the icon, maybe
the document. All right. Now go over back. Now, for example, we've got the first one file, all right. Now I would like to
go over and insert there my files from the
work and the personal life. And you can do this very easily, as you may see right there. That's how you can insert your pages in those 12
brackets. All right? Let's say even now, I
would like to add there the divider also there. Now take those one pages and
insert them right there. All right? As it could be
following there, basically. Now we've got our two
different columns for the personal
life and the work. Now let's say I would like to add some more colors
inside of this. Like the page. I want to take the work and change the background color to
the blue background. Now, personal life, maybe, let's say to the green one. Now let's go over and separate this content with the divider. I like to use a lot of
different dividers, all right? For those one purposes, I can go and do this like
this, This is great. Now let's say I would like to include the morning
routine plan, all right. Basically the home page is the
great place to include it. We can go over, for example, let's type the heading one. I can go over with
the heading one. Let's type morning routine. Let's say below this. Let's just type to list. All right, Let's say I
drink a glass of water. Next we've got brush your teeth. Next what we have,
meditate for 10 minutes, stretch your muscles
for 15 minutes. Let's say we've
got it breakfast. The last one would
be, make your bed. We can basically move
it upper right there. Now for instance, let's
change the color, the background color
to the may be purple. All right, We've got the work personal
life morning routine. Now basically let's create the task list for the specific, I would say the week, all right? The task list for
the specific days. For this case, we can go over and use the existing content. Pick this one, like the morning
routine, go over there, duplicate it Now let's say
the Monday. Let's change it. For example, let's take
the five most important, like the actions to
accomplish in a specific day. For example, work
on the project, go for a walk, schedule the meeting
with two clients, respond to the customers, and now let's say assign
the tasks for the workers. All right, we can go over and
delay this one check box. All right, now we've got
our plan for the Monday. We can go over right there, highlight the entire
parts, and duplicate it. All right, so we've
got the Monday, it will be the Tuesday. We can highlight it now, basically inserted
next to a right. Now for example, we can go
over again, duplicate it. Let's say we've got
the Wednesday now. Again, we can insert
it right there. All right, we've got it Now, for example, we can go over
and pick this entire content. Now insert it right
there, and it works. Say we can duplicate those
once, like the days. Now. Again, go over highlighted. We can see it's
like a little bit designing our page. All right. Oops, I forgot to mention this. That's great. Let's say

two different columns for the work and
the personal life, where we can organize our
pages by this one categories. Then we've got the Td list for the morning routine and ending on the Td lists for

10. Introduction To Databases: So welcome everyone. In this section where we'll talk about the Notion databases. Databases are actually one of the most powerful
features that we have available in the notion
because with using them, we can almost organize everything inside of the
notion, for example, our workspace or any like
information at the first look. Databases and notion
can be similar for you, for example, with
the Celo, right? Because there also
we've got the rows and the columns and overall
it looks like a table. In some cases it will
work very similar. But definitely notion
is more tailored for the productivity and organizing
our entire informations. So basically there we've got the example of the
simple database. And at the first look, if you are not familiar
with the databases, it can be, for
example, very complex. It may look like
it's very difficult, but at all, it will be
not difficult at all. Because actually, let's take
a look on it and analyze. For example, there we've got
the rows and the columns. So basically it looks
like a table as I told. And there we've got the headers which are named properties. All right, so we can have
a different properties for our database which is something
similar to the category. For example, there
in the first column, we've got the property
tailored for the text. Inside of it we can
provide the text. The second one property
that we have is, for example, for the status
for our task tracker. All right, so there we've got the select option and for instance we can select
from the multiple, like the statements
of the project. All right, so for example, completed in progress,
not started or canceled. We'll exactly cover each of
the property later in depth. But now I would like you to have like the overall look on
the databases. All right. Therefore, now
let's get further. For example, there we've got
the property where we can like mention like the worker
for example right now, like I don't have the workers
in my like the workspace, therefore I can choose only me. All right, and
there for instance, we can set up the
property for the date or whether the property
for like the priority. All right, so again, this is the select option. We can select, for example, the medium, low, and high. So now actually you can see it's not really complicated
because with the databases we can like sort our information in the
nice formal right. Because we can see, for example, when we have the tasks, we can create the status
for it, all right? And it looks really
like aesthetic, I would say, and
really organized. So you can, for example,
have some tasks, and then you can create
a task tracker and have everything inside of the
notion in really nice form. With that being said, let's, for example, create
the new property. To do this, we need to go
over to the plus right there and now we can select
the type of the property. For instance, we've
got a lot of them, we'll cover them later. But for example, now I
would like to create the property that we don't
have in our database. So it will be the
multi select there. We can change the name
of this property. I would say the category I would like to create the
categories for our tasks. Actually, there we've
got our property and there we can
create our options. For instance, we can click
there and type something like the planning there to
create the option. We can click there or just click Enter, and there we've got it. Also we can go over and, for instance, type some
vehicles, for example. Again, we can create
it, or even we can type organizing if
you would like. You can edit your options, for example, click there and change the
background, for example. For the planning, I
would like to have the yellow for creating, I would like to have the purple, and now I can leave the
green for the organizing. Actually, you can
see there we've got the property multi select. This is different, for example, from this one property. We can, for instance,
only select one option. All right, because the purity can be low, medium, or high. It can't be the high and the
medium at the same time. Now actually let's go
in depth and cover like the most popular properties that we have in the notion. Again, we can go over
and click on this. Plus the most popular property
would be for the text. We can type, for example, description right there, there we can actually
provide some text. All right, this is
the description. This is really great for example because there you can
provide a lot of text or right inside of
it afterwards you have this like icon
to copy to clipboard. Basically, if you are like
sharing like the workspace, you can provide the text or whether it can be really
long description and then it is just a handy like this space to keep any of your text
information inside of it. Next we have the property called number if we click on it. We can provide only the
numbers inside of this box. If I provide, for
example, the text. All right, now for example, I will provide the number. For instance, if I
provide the text, this is the number like it will not show
inside of this box. Afterwards, we've
got our options. Select actually we can select only one option from a
list. It works like this. All right, so like the status, we've got a lot of
different options and we can choose like
one only of them. Then we've got the multi
select, we already covered it. Next we've got the date. For instance, we
can, for example, like provide the date
inside of our property. So let's pick the February
12. That's how it works. It's really useful. You can also there copy the
date to the clipboard. Then we've got the
property for the person. Actually, if you create
it, you can go over there and select the person
from this work space. All right, so maybe you have the workers and now
you can assign, for example, the tasks for the
specific, like the worker. Afterwards, we've
got the property tailored for the
files and the media. There inside of it we
can provide the media. All right? Or whether
embed the link there you can see how it looks
like I uploaded the file. All right? And there
if I click on it, it will redirect me to this one. Like the file, basically, we have the most popular
properties explained. If you would like, you can go over there and explore more. For example, of God, for the checkbox, URL, e mail. Whether you can provide
the phone number, you can have the property
for the created time, or whether to the
last edited by. But what even makes
the databases really powerful is that, for instance, inside of the databases, we can have the references to another one,
pages, for example. There you can see in
the first one column, we've got this like the
button to open there. We can open the page
for the specific, like the task, for example, I have the Task Create
project proposal. And there we have like
the entire properties, for example, the category, the completion
date, the priority, the worker, or even the
description for it. You can also there, for example, do every stuff as you want. So for example, use the blocks. I can upload the image, I can go over to the splash, type the project
and basically like upload the image
inside of it and work as on the normal page. The next one feature that
I would like to show you are the different views
of our databases. And you can notice below
our title of our database, we've got a different views. For example, this
one initial view that we are using is dead,
like the table view. All right, because there
we've got the table. But actually we can get
access to the other view, for example, as I
have the calendar. And this is great for example, when I want to like to
see all of the tasks on the calendar view and see
the deadlines for this. All right, so I can go over there and there you
can see we've got the calendar and
for example we've got the basic information
about our tasks. All right, so like the
title of the task, like the worcre, the priority, or whether the status or even we've got other
views of the board, and there you can see we've got the tasks organized
by the entire status, so we have the completed in
progress or not started. And basically, we'll talk
in depth about each of the view of our databases and the specific lecture for it. So for now we've got
the basic knowledge of the databases and the notion. I tried to explain it
as easy as possible. I hope you liked

11. Use Notion Templates To Save Your Time!: In this lecture, I would like to talk about a really great way, how you actually
can get access to a lot of different
really solid databases. We already were
speaking about it, but I would like
to cover it more. I'm talking about the template
inside of the notion. We'll have this option on the side bar on the
left side of the page. And if we click on it, you can see we've got a lot
of different databases. And I must say,
from my experience, it's great when you would like, for example, to
create some database, for example, for the
tasks as you have there. For the example, let's take a look on the social
media calendar. I can go over and
get the template, and now you can notice we've got like the template
ready to use. All we need to do
is to just adjust it a little bit to our
preferences as I thought. But definitely we don't
need to build like the database from the scratch so we are not wasting
too much time. For example. There also
we've got the other views, for example, the calendar, the platform by status, and everything is
just set up for us. You can notice we've
got everything. For example, if you would like, you can go over right there. We'll basically cover all of the options inside of
the databases later. But for now, I would
like to show you what we can do with it with
the templates. Like inside of the notion, for example, you
don't like this one. Like the column, you
can go over there, delay the property easily
as you would like. For instance, you can
go over expended, set the different
dates as you want. For example, at the new
column really fast, provide the person
add another property. So for instance,
let's take a link. All right, so the URL and basically do a lot of stuff with it within a minute, all right? So for instance, for
example there you can dilate some like the view. You don't like it actually. This is the great
way to save a lot of time because as I realized, a lot of people like
do the entire stuff, they want to create
some database. And they are not checking the template inside
of the notion. And actually they are creating like the database
from the scratch. And they're wasting
like the 15 minutes instead of like taking the ready database and
like adjusting it a little bit and like spending like
only 5 minutes there, you've got like the 10
minutes save or even more. Right? Because
right there you can see you've got a
lot of different, like the features you need to
set up entire information. But actually if you go
over to the templates, you can see you've
got a lot of them. I would say like the
50 or more even. You can search for the templates and do the stuff with it. So I hope it will help you in the future in creating
your future databases.
12. Explore Databases Options pt.1: In this lecture, let's talk
about the options inside of our databases and the
notion at the first look, let's actually cover
the basic operations on our databases. To begin with, let's go over and click on some property there. We've got a lot of
different options. For example, let's start
from the top there. We can set the title for the property or even
change the icon, for example, to this one. All right, and it will
just be edited below. We've got the option to
edit the property if we click on it there we've
got other options. For example, we can
change the type, for example, to the date, person checkbox, or even, Let's take the multi select. Now, for instance, I can select more than one option
inside of our property. Below we have our
option to sort, but we'll cover it later. Then we've got our
options, all right, that we have available
inside of our property. And now we've got the option to hide this entire
property in the view. If I click on it,
it disappeared. And if I again will enable
it, it will appear. Afterwards, we have the
option to wrap or not like the information inside
of the specific property. For example, I've got
the property category, I don't want to
wrap this entire, the options, I can click on it. Then you'll see we have this entire information and
only one line, I would say. Then we've got the options
to duplicate the property. So now you can see we've got the category one or even there, we can delay the
property afterwards. We've got our two options
to sort our information. Or whether it
options, for example, with the text, it will work
with the alphabet. All right? Because if we'll
sort by as standing, it will start with the
ABC and all right, But when we go over
to the options, it will sort by, for example, our options at the highest, like the stage, we've
got the completed below. We've got in progress at the bottom we've got the
not started following, if we'll go over
with the descending. So we'll get firstly the not started in progress
and completed. But basically inside
of it we've got really important
information because how actually notion
knows that for example, at the top we've got our completed tasks and at the below we've got our
not started for example. Let's go over to this
one property and see we can like sort
it by as standing. But there we've got our low optional right,
so the low priority. And at the bottom
we've got our high. Something is definitely wrong. To better understand that, we need to go over
to the property. Click on Edit, and there
you can see we've got our options in the specific
like order. All right. There you can see we've got
our high like at the bottom. We can go over and move it upper and now we
will see it changes. All right, and following we
can go over with the medium. Now you can notice if we'll go over and sort
it by as standing, we've got our high
in the great order. All right. In the
following order. Again, if you go over
with the descending, we've got now our low
at the first place. After we've got
the filter option, we'll cover it later
then hid in a view. Freeze up to columns. We can freeze the column
as we would like. Or even we can duplicate
the property or delay the property or
just wrap the columns. All right, so now
we've covered how to do the simple operations
on our databases. And actually now let's get into the options view that we have
available in our databases. To go over there,
we need to go over and click on the
Three Dots there. We've got a lot of different options and we need to notice that those options are tailored
for like this one view, so the table view. All right, if you go over
there to the calendar, we'll have other options like specified for this
specific view. We can also notice it by the layout because there you
can see we've got the table. All right, we are
now in the table. Of course, if you
would like, you can change this one
entire layout to, for example, the board, timeline, calendar,
release, et cetera. And there you've
got other options. So for example, you can disable the like the vertical lines
right there, you can see. Or if you would like
wrap all columns. All right, Not only the
one single property but exactly all like database
you can wrap or not. Then also we've got the
option to open the pages in the side peak or whether to the center peak
or the full page. You can notice it by
when we click on it. All right, we've
got the side peak, but when I go over there, I click on the layout, open pages in the center peak. If I open it all right, I will have the other view. Or if I go over again, I will pick the full page. The pages will be opened
like this. All right. We can go over back by
clicking there for me, I suggest you to pick the side peak or whether
the center peak. It's the most comfortable
I would say for me. But if you would like, you can go over also with the full page. At the end, we've got the
option to show the page icons. All right, I really
like to have the icons. I really like to enable this
option below our layout. We've got the setting
for the properties. If you click on it, we'll see all the properties shown
in the table or not. For instance, now you can see, I can click on this for the worker and it will
disappear as you can see or whether others if you would like
to make it happen. So enable it, you
can drag and drop. All right, again like
provided and shown in table option also there you
can change the order of the properties as you would like or even if you click
on the specific property, you can change the
settings of it. All right, for example
here we've got the date, the time format, date
format, et cetera.
13. Explore Databases Options pt.2: So welcome in the
second one lecture dedicated for the options inside of our databases before we ended on
the properties. So now let's go over
and cover the filters. All right, we can click on
it and now basically we can filter our informations like based on the specific
requirements. For example, I can go over
and click on the date. And actually there I can filter which ones like the tasks
I would like to see. So let's say we've got
different filters. And now I can say I would like the next 15
days for example. So I can go over
there and change the requirement for the
day and the 15 days. All right. So I would like
to see now all of the tasks where like the completion date is within this like 15 days. All right. So now we've got the third one of the February, and it will show
all of the projects like to the 18th
of the February. All right? And basically you can go over and do
this by the weeks, for instance, three weeks. Now, now you can see constantly your database
changes, all right? For example, 45 as I want or whether we can pick past
five weeks, all right. Like this one task was completed
and it was for example, one day ago when you
will apply your filters. There you will see like
the blue box inside of it. You can see the entire filter. And there you can change the, I would say the entire options. Or if you would like
to remove this filter. All right, you can
go over and click on the three dots and click
Delayed the filter. Now back to the hour, like the initial view. Now let's say I
would like to see the tasks with only
the high priority. All right, therefore I can
go over to the filters, Click on the priority, and now I can select only the
ones with the priority. Also, there I can see
is not, for example, the priority says
that we've got not high option inside of it and
there we've got other elses, so for example, the
medium or the low, or whether the priority
should be like the high. Also there you can notice
that this filter only applies for this one
view, the table view. Because if you will go
over to the calendar, we've got all of the tasks
with not even the high, but the low priority
or medium priority. All right, there if we
will go over to the dots, we don't have any filters. But actually if we'll
go over to this one, like the view the table, we've got our filter like each filters are for
the specific views. Next we've got the
option named sort. And basically it
will sort all of our information inside
of our database. All right, if I click
on it, I can go over, for example, again to
the priority or whether. Let me go over to
the status now. I can go over and, for example, pick the status by the
standing or distending, All right, order this
entire information by the status so this
entire workspace. Or even add additional sort. Now we'll have the
two requirements, for example, the status. Now let's say I would like
to pick the priority, now again, I can pick the
ascending or descending. Now you can see it will
change right there. Like our first one,
priority doesn't change. But basically our second one, when we have the
priority changes right there, it changes. Furthermore, if we
drag and drop our second one sort
above our first one, now it will more based on our
priority then the status. All right, so I hope that you understand it and
that makes sense. Let's now actually
do the exercise, we'll better understand
the sort option. For example, let's say is
the third one February. And I would like to see if the following projects
are completed or not. Let's say I've got the
20 different tasks inside of this database. And basically with
that kind of a lot of information like all right, I can miss something, can
miss the completion date. For instance, I can go over
to our like the sort option, let's say I would like to sort
it by the completion date. I can go over with, for example, the standing the most like
the closest dates from now. All right, so the
third one February. So I have the 61 and the 121. Now I can sort it by
the status. All right. So I can check if those
tasks are completed or not. All right, so let
me go over and now, basically I can see I have
three days to do this task. And this task is basically
now in progress. Again, I have like the nine days to like create this task, all right to accomplish it. And again, it's in progress. And afterwards I've got
the completed task. So again, I can see
like for example, I have two tasks to accomplish. All right, and the
date will expire soon. All right, so I
need to hurry up. And as I told, this is
great when you have a lot of different
information inside of your database
because you can have better view of the entire
database with like this option. And basically with that feature, there are lower chances that, for example, you forget
about something. Next we've got our
option to group. Basically, it will separate our specific tasks based
on the particular, like the requirement
for example. I can go over there.
Basically, I would like to group my tasks by
the priority there. You can see we've
got other view. All right, so we've got
our view by the high, the high priority tasks, low priority tasks, or the
medium priority tasks. Again, this is sometimes
great when you, for example, have a lot of different
informations and you want to have the more
clear view about it. Next, we've got really
interesting option to lock our database. Now if I click on it, you can see I can't apply any
changes inside of it. I can change the priorities. For example, only
I can go over and change the details inside of it. All right? So inside of the specific like the blank
spaces and that's all. But basically I can't
change the entire like the database and there we've got other
options such as copy, link to view,
duplicate the view, or even delay the
view that we have it. We covered all of the
necessary options that we need to know about the
databases and our notion. For now, that's everything. I will see you in

14. Discover Different Databases Views in Notion: So in this lecture we'll talk about all of the
available views for our databases and adoption and basically for which
purposes you should use it. First things first, we've
got our table view, which I use for like
editing the content, providing other information,
creating the properties, and basically working
on my database. All right, because
there we've got the clear view of
everything inside of it. All right, so for instance, we've got a lot of
different properties and all of the
information to work with. Actually this is the view that you will work most time and notion and basically we'll do like each action
inside of it. The next one of you
is the board view. And basically I'm using it
for any projects when I would like to see if there is something completed
maybe or not. All right, so when I would
like to see the progress or if I like to see the tasks categorized
with different options. Or even for example, if you have some project and
you would like to see like in which one projects you have like the specific tasks
for example, right? So we have the project name and then you can there inside of the board view see like which
one tasks are inside of it. The next one view is the least. And I use it when I want to
have the most simple view of my database at the specific time actually there for example. In that case you can
take a look which one like the tasks are
completed or which one not. And basically there you don't
have like many informations and this is something really aesthetic and
organized, I would say. So this is the great
way when you want to have another point of view
of your database at all. Next we've got the
calendar view. And basically I
recommend you to use it when you have
like some tasks or whether the projects
to accomplish and you would like to see like the
deadlines for those projects, for example, or whether
the expiration date. All right, so there you
can go over and have the visualization how much days you have left for your
project to accomplish. Next, we've got
our gallery view, and this is great
for any visual work. So actually, let's
say you created the database specified for
the types of the flowers, and basically you can go over and create the
gallery view of this. All right, so there you will
have the Tumbnail, the name, and for example, a little
description actually. There we've got the text because inside of this file we
don't have an image. But basically, if I
will provide the image, I can see now that the
entire tumbnail changes and the last one
is the timeline. And basically I'm using it just really
rarely, I would say. And actually use it
when you, for example, have a lot of
different tasks for, for example, the large project. Or even if you would like to see which one tasks are active
in a specific time. For example, there I set up the property which
is like the status. And now I can see, for example, this one task is
completed and this one for the six February
is still in progress. So definitely I need to work
on it so that we have it. In this lecture we covered

15. Exercise: Create Your Own Database From Scratch!: So welcome everyone
in this lecture, which will be an exercise
for this section. So basically we'll
create our own database. So now it's the right time for you to get into the action and create together with me your own very database
from the scratch. All right, and basically for the subject
of this database, we'll take the recipes. With that being said,
we can get started. So we can add a page,
provide the title. So recipes for now, we can add the icon
for this one page. All right, We can
type maybe the dish, something like this or even something else,
maybe this one icon. All right, now for instance,
we can add the cover. I would like to go over with
something from the splash. Let me see something
from the cooking. I can go over with
it. Now we can create the empty page type database. Start with the inline one. Even if you would like, you
have the great option to open a database as
like the full page. All right, and basically
it will create for us the sub page of
the recipes page. All right, So I can
go over there and frankly I like to use
it more often than, for instance, provided there
like the entire database. All right, of course we can go over and type everything inside, we can make it full width. All right, But basically there will have this cover
and this icon. And actually you can see
when I go over there, we can name it Recipes. That's perfect. We
can add the icon. Actually the page recipes and the sub page recipes
are connected together. All right, whether if we type there in the sub page
recipes chicken, it will be shown, for example, in the recipes one you
can see right there. Actually, let's start
with our properties. For that case, I would like to have some of them for example. For sure I would like to have

and again pick the select, actually we can
sort it as we want. Maybe like this, even
change this icon. May be the star. Do
we have the star? Yes, Now we can add, for example, the options. Firstly, maybe, let's
start with the dishes. All right, we would
like to provide some dishes inside
and we've got it. So I have my five dishes. All right, so the spaghetti bolness omelet with vegetables, chocolate brown, et cetera. Now, I can provide
the prep time. I can, for example,
add the options. Maybe let's take 15
minutes like this, 30 minutes, maybe 45 minutes. Next what we have 1
hour, the 60 minutes. Let's take 90 minutes.
That's perfect. We can even change the colors. For that case, I would
like to set it like this, may be yellow. All right, now the green
maybe let's take the red. Now let's set the prep

wouldn't like to add the recipes which are two stars or whether one

something like this. But for me, I would like to
pick the following options. And we've got it now. We can provide the
types of these dishes. There we have maybe
the breakfast, then the lunch dinner. Maybe we can go over and, for example, type the dessert. All right, we can
change the colors again to maybe the
brown, this one. To more vivid colors, I would say maybe the
blue and the dinner, let's say will be the yellow. All right, so we've got
it now we can check. So we have the spaghetti, which can be the dinner. But also, I would say
maybe the lunch omelet, which is for the breakfast, chocolate brown
needs the dessert, lasagne bones is the dinner, and vanilla pudding can
be also the dessert. Now let's go over and actually customize the specific recipes. We can go over there

now, but basically let. All right, so we've got the
ingredients, all right, like entire step by
step process for it and it looks really
captivating and really solid. All right, so that's
how you can customize your like pages for

different informations. We've got the name prep, time rating type, URL, so all of the properties, and basically we customized our pages for the
specific dishes. Now I can go over and, for example, unwrap

look more aesthetic. And for instance, now we can add another one,
Views, for example. Right. For that case, I would like to go over and
add the view board there. For instance, we've got our
dishes by the prep time. All right, so we've got the
15 minutes, 4,560.90, even. We can go over and create another one of you
for our recipes. For that case, the one
which is the best for me, for the recipes, is the gallery. So we can go over
and create it there. This is perfect because
we've got our thumbnails, for instance, the name. Also, we can change
the properties. For example, we can add, for instance, the prep time. Let me pick it, for
example, the URL. So we've got it, and this is really nice, like the form
storing our recipes, because there we've
got the images, so the thumbnails and overall like the prep
time and the link for it. So this is something
really, I would say, handy and really aesthetic. And I really love this form
basically that we have it. I'm very excited at

16. Make Your Database Visible in Multiple Places!: In this lecture we
are going to talk about really amazing
feature because with it we'll be able to
create like a view of a database in many
different places. So this feature is called
Linked Views of Databases. And as I told, it allows
you to create like a visual representation of the specific database and
for example, other database. All right, so create the
view of this database. In this lecture I
would like to show you really shortly how to use it properly and basically in which cases it can be really
handy tool. All right. As you can notice, I'm on the page with the recipes
database, All right? And now let's say on this
page I would like to have not only the
database of the recipes, all right, But for
example, other database. For that case, to achieve it we need to use one
simple feature. As I told it will be the
linked views of databases. All right, for that
case I can types linked view of database,
now I can click on it. There you can see we've got the entire window for the view
of the specific databases. There we can choose which
one exact database view I would like to
see on that page. All right. Included for example, let me pick the reading
list and I can click on it. Basically there we've got
the view of this database. All right, so maybe, let's say you would like
to share your database, which is your private
database somewhere else. For example, you want to assign some tasks
for the workers. So let's say you can create the database in
your private space, assign the specific tasks
for the specific people. And afterwards, like share the database view in the workspace with your
workers, for example, right? If that makes
sense. And actually when we create the
view of some database, it works same as in the
initial one, all right? So for example, we can change
the properties change, for example, different
like the options, all right, right there. You can see or even as I told do just everything that
we want inside of it. All right? So we can see I can change
anything right there. Also there I've got the options, so I can change the properties, filters, sort the information
group, et cetera. But basically what is even
better now we can notice that we have this plus
previously there, we added the different views
of the specific database. But now when we
click on this plus, we can create another one view
of different one database. For example, let's take my recipe database
and now we've got it. All right. You can
see even there, we can change like the
view of this database. So we can choose, for example, again we can choose the table
or whether the gallery. So let's say I would like
to pick the gallery. Now we can see we've
got two different views of the two different
databases in one place. But let's say for example, I would like to change
something, For example, I would like to
expand a little bit this column change the scores. For example, three
stars, five stars, one star TBD and the two stars. All right, we changed like this one options
inside of this database, basically when we now go
over to the reading list. All right, so this initial
database, not the view. We can see that the
information has been changed. All right, so there
we've got the two stars, the TBD, one star and the
five stars same as there. So you can see this is the same situation even if I
changed there, for example, the status to the N. Now we can notice it
changes right there. We can see that even if you'll have the view of
the database there, you can change anything like inside of the
initial database. All right, It will also
change there as I told you, can go over like share the specific database
and for example, like work with your team and basically it will
constantly be changed.
17. Make Basic Calculations on Your Databases: Let's now talk about
basic calculations that we have available
in the notion. Actually you could
notice every time when we create like our
database below, we've got our option
to calculate. This is something really
helpful where you have a lot of different amounts of something
like the digits numbers, et cetera, to basically like count something in a
way that you want. So right now I'm
in the database of the finance tracker
that you are able to download and
like the first one, lectures of the
scores. All right. So there you've got a lot
of different databases, pages and basically the
files just for you. So if you don't have it already, go over there to the first one. Lectures, I guess this
is the second one or whether the third one lecture and there you are
able to download it. I'm in the account
page and right there I've got my database for
the different accounts. And right there I have something like the
current balance, The initial amount, total income or whether total expenses. And when I click
on the Calculate, I can do a lot of
different stuff. So for example, I can like sum up all of the values inside, all of the values
inside the column. And then we've got the sum of approximately 77
thousands of dollars. All right, again you've
got there the options, for example, to make the
average of those ones. So now we have the 19,000 or even count all like the rows. All right, so now
we have four rows. We can pick the minimal amount
of the column or whether the maximum one or just
go over with the median. All right, And now you've
got it and basically in a second you can count
everything that you want. As I told, this is
great when you have, for example, a lot of amounts. For instance, you've got your expenses trucker
and there for example, you can swim up all of the
expenses of the month even, let's say now I would
pick the average amount. And now you can also notice that it like constantly
updates when I, for example, add something new. So basically now I
have the two rows with $0 and now I've
got my new average. All right, so as I thought, it constantly updates
and you don't need to do the stuff on your
own and this is something really awesome
for my experience. When you have the databases
with the numbers, it's something really
awesome because for example, I've been using
it for maybe like counting average price for
the course per client. Or whether like maybe my
income like the monthly, like the income for the one
year or something like that. Or even like count the entire number of the
students and et cetera. So this is something really easy I would say and really handy all when you have the databases with the
numbers as I told.
18. Notion AI Introduction: Welcome, welcome everyone
in the notion AA section. First things first, I'm very grateful that you reached
this point in the course. So for now, you've got
the great fundaments. You know how to exactly
use the notion or even you know how to
use the databases which is more advanced topic. So you have the
awesome achievement and thank you very much
for your appearance. This section, as I mentioned, will base on the notion AI. So AA features that we have
available in the notion and basically this is the topic that will help you with
your productivity. Will speed up your processes and actions inside of notion. For example, instead of writing something
from the scratch, you will be able to create the template or
just the example. And like absorb a lot of
different ideas from it, so it will be very
perfect because as I told it will allow
you to save a lot of, a lot of your time notion. I can actually act as your creative assistant and basically like a source
of the knowledge that we can gain from this entire section will base on like
understanding all of the features and like discovering my proven
methods of like improving our work and basically like simplifying our
life inside of the notion. With that being said, let's
actually take a first look on the notion IA features in the
really practical example. For instance, we can improve our database with the recipes. All right, for that
case I can go over and open like a page for
the specific recipe. There you can see we've
got the information. So the step by step guide. But there we don't have,
for example, the recipes. All right, for that
case we can go over and in case to trigger the
features inside of the notion, you can click the space there. You can do a lot of
different stuff in it. But now let's miss this, like the entire options. And I would like to type
something, for example, create for me the ingredients
list for this recipe. Basically, when you type it out, then it will just create for you the ingredients list that you didn't have in your
recipe entire. All right? So it will read the
entire document and basically find for
us the entire, like, the information about it. We can check if that information
are correct. All right. For example, 125 milliliters
of red wine. All right. There we've got it, So let
me find it right there. For example, let's say
one teaspoon, right? Oregano and we've got
it there. All right. Or even two teaspoons
of tomato puree. Let's see if we have it. All right, so we've
got it right there. So as I thought, for example, imagine like you had to write this entire ingredients
by yourself, all right? But actually there
in a meseconds, you can do this
with the notion I. And as I thought, it can
really help you in some cases, even for example, let's
take a look now on the properties that we have
available in that database. And actually now we've got
only the four of them. And basically we would
add to like other one, but we don't know which
one should should we add. All right, and basically we can click on the button
Other property. And there you've got the suggested like the
properties by the AI. For example, the description, the creator of the dish
or even is it vegetarian? I didn't think about
it for a second. All right, but we've got
our notion AI to suggest us the different properties even we can search for the
more so for example, recipe file, difficulty level, or even preparation time
or the creation date. Actually, you can see this
is very handy afterwards. Let's say that, for example,
you've got the recipe, and the step by step guide is
basically too long because, for example, there
you've got some of the informations
that are unnecessary. But for now we've got our notion I, we can't
go over with it. All right, and there will appear the button to ask the AI. And basically now for example, we can make it shorter to be
more like visible and catch. All right, so now we
can see we've got like the shorter overview of our recipe without those
entire information. All right? You can notice it's
more straightforward. Even if you would like to keep this entire tool like
the step by step guide, you can click there
to insert it below. Basically you can see you've got the step by step guide which is shorter and the step by step guide which
is more complex. In this lecture, we covered how powerful are the a features
inside of the notion. And basically you've got the first one's sense of the effectiveness of
these amazing tools. Basically how you can
use it to increase your productivity and save a
lot of your time, basically. With that being said, let's go over and explore
this entire section.
19. Let's Discover First Possibilities!: This video, let's start covering
the notion AA features. In order to activate the
notion I within our workspace, we need to press
the Space button. There. You've got a lot of
different options with the AI. Even our next one way to trigger the AA features inside of
the notion is by typing the. There. We need to scroll
down a little bit. There we've got notion I like the category and
all of the actions. Let's actually now
create something and basically I will
press the Space button. And now actually somehow I
like to stick to the recipes. Therefore, I can type
something like create for me the recipe for the
Tira Mu for example. All right, when we
run our prompt, we've got different
options to choose. The first one is
to make it done, so just finish the
job afterwards, we can continue writing or
whether make the text longer. All right, we'll cover it later. After we've got the option
to add it to the favorites or even if we don't like the response from
the AA feature, we can try it again
or even close it. For that case, I would like
to go over and make it done. All right, now let's actually
create something else. For example, Create for me. And basically there
you can see like the previous one prompts
that you were using. All right, in like the past, create for me a blog post about most friendly Brits of dogs. What I like, especially
when I'm creating the content inside of
the notion with the AI, is that even it's
formatting the entire text. All right, so that
you can see we've got the headings and the
simple text below this. This is really powerful
because you don't need to go over and every time like
format the entire text. But now let's say I've got only the five
breeds of the dogs. But I would like to continue writing and let's see
what we'll get later. All right, we've got other

the different versions. All right, this is diversion like before continuing
it to right. This is the diversion

from the scratch. And the notion there can
be like the misspellings, also the grammar can be
not the perfect one. And basically there
in the notion, with the help of a I, we've got the
possibility to improve our text because right there
we've got the misspellings. The grammar is not good at all, and actually it needs
to be improved. All right, with that being said, we can go over and, for instance, highlight
this entire text. And now click our button
to ask AI to help. All right, basically now
we've got different options. For example, we can fix spelling and the
grammar for that case, I would like to
do this and we'll see it will create for
us pretty new text. We've solved grammar
inside of our notion. All right, let's
say what we'll have basically let's replace the
text with the misspellings, with the new one
that we have, it. We don't have the misspellings or whether any
problems inside of it. And this is something
really great because in a mere
seconds you can do this, actually use this
feature when you're typing any like the longer text. Maybe you're creating
the article, whether some instructions step
by step guide, et cetera. And with it you can
prevent your text from including the misspellings
inside of it. Then we've got really
similar option. So improve writing, but basically it will
do something else. Because like with spelling, like with fixing the
spelling and grammar, it only fixes like the misspellings and also the overall
grammar to be correct. But basically with
the improve writing, it will just improve our
entire text and for example, make it more eye, catchy, engaging, and more professional. All right, let's take, for instance, the initial one
text with the misspellings. But now I don't only want to make this text like correct
and fix the grammar, but also improve the
overall writing, I can go over there and
click Improve Writing. And now let's see the
difference there. We can see our tool like
based on our initial text and then created something really in the same form but
used for example, like different words
to make it more catch, as I thought, more like
maybe professional. All right, there you can see, but the overall
form is the same. It just only changed some words and some
parts inside of it. For example, there you can see we've got the first
of all first. All right, so this is the difference and basically
it improved overall text. So basically use the option, improve writing when you're
creating the descriptions for your products or whether any
promo texts for example. When I'm creating the
descriptions for my products, I like to create
something in my tone, using my words to provide the most relevant
information that I want. Next, I'd like to go
over and improve writing with the help of AI and
make it more engaging, eye catchy, and
overall just better. Because as I realized,
even with that, small changes we can improve our products
significantly or even any text after we've
got the options to make the specific text longer
or even the shorter. So this is something
really common afterwards. We've got really
interesting option which is to change the tone. Basically, we can change the tone for any
text that we want. And now I will show you it. On the great example,
with the help of AI, I would like to
create the e mail. For instance, create for me the e mail for my friend Josh, where I invite him for
the meeting tomorrow. For example, use the
words such as your bye, chill chilling, or even
maybe how you doing. All right. With that prompt, we can create our E mail after we've got
something like that. Josh, how are you doing, bro? I hope this message finds you. Well, it's been a while
since we last catch up and I've been thinking it's high
time we rectify. All right. So this is something we
could make a dance finish. And now for example, let's say I would like to
make this e mail more formal, more like professional.
All right? So I can go over,
change the tone to the professional and
basically notice how in a second we can change
the entire look of this e mail instead of the Josh. We've got the dear Josh instead
of how we're doing, bro, I hope the message finds you in a good health and
spirit. All right. It has been some time since our last interaction and it would be beneficial
for us to reconnect. So look how amazing it can be. For example, you can
create the e mail for your chef and even
write it in the like, really casual tone using
your words, et cetera. So it's more comfortable
to do this in that way and
basically afterwards change it like to be more professional or whether
change any tone that we want. Also there we've
got other options. So for example, straightforward,
confident, friendly, and basically confident can be really used for like
selling maybe the products. So basically you can create
any text and afterwards make it more confident and
more like engaging to buy. Because obviously when
you are confident with your product like it's more
likely that you will sell it. And the last one feature for this lecture will be for
simplifying the text. For example, let's say that
you have the article with a lot of different and really
advanced words, all right? But you would like to keep
the simple language inside of it and basically this feature will allow us to make it happen. There I've got the article
of the influence of the environmental pollutions on environmental
changes. All right. For example, there I can have
some really advanced words. Let's say we've got the word nutrient eutrophication
or something else. All right, But for that
case I can go over, highlight this entire
text and go over as AI to simplify the language
of this entire article. And overall, of course, some words can be replaced, for example, like the carbon dioxide or whether the metan. But definitely this
entire article is more simple to
read than before. All right? Because we don't have like many words that
are really complex. Basically we've
got this ones that are really necessary
for this article, but definitely it's
something really easier. And basically I like to use it again when I'm using
the AI, for example. And it provides for me something
in the complex language. And I don't want to reproduce this again because I
think this is great, but a little bit too
hard and for that case, I can go over and simplify the language
inside of our notion.
21. Discover The Powerful Text Operations You Can Perform: Notion, we've got a lot of different features
powered by the AI, which are actually
really handy and useful. Therefore, in this lecture, let's cover more of them. Let's take an example from
the previous lecture. Let's say I've got the article about how pollution
affects our environment. Basically. For now I would like to have the short
summarism of it. Actually we can do
this in the notion I, so we can go over there, SKI and click Summarize. With that feature, you can
transform this entire text. So the article to this
short summary with the most concise and detailed
information about it. Afterwards, we've got our
option that will allow us to translate any
language to another. For instance, I would
like to transform and translate this entire text
into, for example, Spanish. So I can go over there and
search for the language. We've got not a lot of them but basically the most common. So we've got the Spanish
in just a few seconds, we've got our text translated. Basically, it is very helpful when you want to
translate something with the great accuracy because
the tool as I tried it out is really great For that case even we can
do this by other way. For example, I can go over and pick some sentence,
for example, this one. Go over, click the space. Now we can paste this entire sentence and
see what will happen. A is writing, and let's
see if that will work. Basically, this is great. It only translated
our one sentence from English to Spanish. Next, we've got
really great option, which is perfect, When you
would like, for example, to learn inside of the notion or whether you are
creating some article, and there you encounter some hard sentences or whether the words that we
would like to explain. Let's say for example, I don't really understand
what the word mean. All right, so the Ltroification,
something like that. That case, I can go there, highlight this part as I, to actually explain
this sentence. This is something really
great because we can see atrophication is a process where water bodies
such as lakes, rivers or seas become
overly reached with nutritions often due to runoff from the
land, for example. We can insert it below. All right, below
our translation, we can, for example, change the background
to the yellow. Basically the change this one background
also to the yellow. And do this stuff
with other parts that you don't understand. For instance, for
example, this one. Let's ask AI to explain this. You can notice in just a few seconds we've
got it there for instance. Again, we can go over there, change the background to
the green for that case. Basically, this is the
great way that I found really useful when I was like learning for some exam
or something like that or even just
learning new language. We'll just have some words
that we don't understand. And basically with this tool, you can go over and explain
it easily in a second. The next one feature is
called find action items. Basically, I will show
you now what it does. I can go over there and now

of the chapter I will show you some of the common use cases of the notion A features. However, they are really
useful and I would say tailored for the
notion purposes. So I can say this is something
not really revolutionally, but actually it
can help us a lot inside of the notion and in

also there we'll guide the exercises and overall the
section is really awesome. And basically there we will learn and gain a
lot of knowledge about how to simplify your life and basically
use the newest, like the revolutionary
technologies to boost your productivity
and effectiveness. I think this is some of the useful information that we need to know
about the section. And now let's go over to the first one use case
of the notion AI. We have the
brainstorming feature which is actually really useful. And basically we'll
find out that basically in a lot of
situations you can use it. For example, let's say
you've got a lot of ideas, for example, what to purchase. And basically you can't decide which one option
is the best for you. Therefore, this is
awesome when you want to have like another
one point of view and basically know more what to take into account when it
comes to your decision. For example, lately I've been thinking about buying the shoes, especially for hiking in
the mountains basically. Now, I don't know what
to exactly take into account when like purchasing
the specific shoes. This is the great example
because right there we can go over to the notion
and ask AI to help us. Let me type the space basically. Now, I can go over with
the conversation starter, which is brainstorm ideas. And I can type something
like brainstorm ideas on what to take into account when choosing the proper shoes for hiking in the mountains. Actually, with that being said, we can get another one point of view what to take into account. And basically I, for example, didn't think about
some of the cases. For example, let's say consider the ankle
support, all right, Think about the break
in time or even we've got look at the
traction on the soles. So this is something
quite interesting. I didn't think about
it for any second. For example, afterwards,
maybe let's go further. Now let's go over
and, for example, create the table where I can compare different
informations about different, like the types of the shoes. I can type create for me a table to compare different types of the shoes take into account
hiking in the mountains. This is something really crazy because before we
haven't had like this one opportunity to create this one table in a
second, all right. For example, we've got
three types of the shoes, the hiking boots,
lightweight hiking shoes, or the trail runners. All right, now
we've got a lot of different categories
for different purposes. For example, whether
sitability, weight traction, durability, bafatibility,
everything like that, or even the ankle support. Basically, this is
something really crazy because like with
the brainstorming, you can even create the table
that will compare for you, like the AI feature
will compare for you all of the
different types of, for example, different objects or for that case,
different shoes. With that method, you can
gain more knowledge about the specific topic and
whether comparison things. Next, I have for you
the following example. For instance, let's say we are traveling to some city
or whether the country. And basically,
sometimes this is great to have the checklist what to do like before the entire traveling because obviously
we don't want to, for example, forget about something because it can
be really harmful for us, for example, when we forget about the documents
or something else. Therefore, now I would like to create the checklist
for this case, let's say create for me the checklist for my things
to do before traveling. We have a lot of useful
information in it, of course. Like there can be some of
the obvious checkpoints, for example, booker flights or whether reserve
accommodations. But definitely, sometimes we can forget about
something important. For example, taking
care of the plants, or whether like
packaging the medicines, or even the important
documents such as passports. Now we've got the
information about the shoes, which one to choose when it comes to hiking
in the mountains. We've got the things we need to do before the flight, actually. Now let's find the flight and basically the place where
we can travel to basically, for example, go on the
trip in the mountains. Let's basically type
something like compare for me two places where it's
better to travel. Basically we can
type create table. Now let's say we've got
the Rome and the Milan. All right, versus
Milan. Of course. Remember every time that you can expand your prompt. All right. Like for example, continue
writing, et cetera. Use the previous one,
features that we learned. But basically this is only the example that I would
like to show you. You can see like this is
really funny because you can organize everything
and brainstormed ideas inside of the notion. And this is the example
how you can even compare two elements
and do this in a meseconds inside
of the notion and with the help with the
brainstorming like the idea. All right, so it is very
helpful, as I found, like in the notion, it can bring for you a lot
of different ideas. And basically when
you have no clue what you can do with
some, for example, like some elements or
whether some products, you can go over
and ask the notion I A feature to brainstormed
ideas for you. So actually in this video we
covered the introduction for this section and it was
the first one use case. So really powerful
brainstorming method which I found is really
amazing because actually you can compare a lot of
different things like found a new ideas or whether
like compared to things. All right, basically I
really encourage you to watch each of the lecture inside of the section
really carefully. Because like this
use cases are pretty amazing and basically you will find a lot of
value inside of it. With that being said, let's go over and cover other
one, use cases.
23. Use Notion AI For Learning Purposes: When it comes to
learning basically anything for the
exams to the school, or whether for the
personal purposes. I think the notion is the
great space to do it. As you may know,
inside of the notion, you're able to store a lot of, a lot of pages inside of, for example, one workspace. Therefore, for instance,
let's say you have the subject and basically
you want to learn it. So it can be, for example,
another one language. And actually there you can store every information that you
want in one place overall. When you learn
something, the best, one way to refine your knowledge is to basically test yourself. And actually inside
of this lecture, I will show you some of the
proven ways of how to learn, like with the help of the
features inside of the notion. And basically it is something really effective and powerful. Basically, let's say
I've got there a lot of different informations
about the different, like the dates or whether like the ancient,
like the events. All right, basically I can go over there and highlight
this entire part. And for example,
let me create for it like the questions to
test out my knowledge. I can type something like
based on this information, create for me ten questions
to test out my knowledge. As I found, this is
something I would say really effective because in a second
you can get a nice form, like a lot of questions
about the different, like the information
from the page or whether like the information
that you highlight, imagine that you learn
about something afterwards. In a second, you can create those questions or even
you learn any language, and basically you can also
get the questions for this. Actually, you can see with God, who built the first cities
in the fourth millennium or who was the first pin to
unite upper and lower Egypt. Afterwards, we can basically
go ahead and for example, highlight this entire text also. So our questions and
actually type spic like, give me the short answers
for the questions. Actually we've got it
for each question, We've got our answer which
is really short, concise, I would say really detailed and basically there
it's counting to the 20, but actually we can press the enter the back space. All right. And we've got our two
lists. All right. So the first one is with
the questions as I thought, and the second one
is with the answers. Basically, you can notice below our entire information
about a specific topic. We can include the questions
and again, the answers. So this is the great way, as I found, to test
out our knowledge. And basically you
can do the stuff like inside of each page. So let's say you've
got the ten pages and you're learning for
some exam or whether, as I told, learning the
another one language. And basically you can create the questions and the answers which is really helpful in
testing out our knowledge. For example, I've got another
one idea which I found is also really great to
create the QNAright, the questions and the
answer I can type create for me the Q and A that will test out my knowledge
based on this information. For example, include Tana. And you can notice we've got our question and basically
the answer for it below. But what I like even to do with this form of checking our
knowledge, all right, I'd like to go over to the
question and basically change like the form of
it to the togal list. All right, afterwards,
for example, right there, I can go over and paste
my answer inside of it. And you can see we've
got the question. When we go over and open the staggle list,
we've got the answer. Actually you can go
over and, for example, paste a lot of different
information about the answer, for example, right there. And basically do this
in a togal list. And this is really
useful because actually you've got the
questions afterwards. You can open the togal list and get your answer
like immediately. So we can see it looks really aesthetic And it's really useful because right there
you can see we've got in a second
something like this. So we are questions for the specific page and
basically the entire answers. Also, we can do the stuff
like with those ones, like the forms, for example, there we've got the
questions, the answers. And basically you
can go over there, co P, all right. Go over there, create
the Tooglelist. Actually, pace right
there and basically you've got the entire
answers for your questions. I like to do this because for
me this is the great form because actually I can't even look on the
specific answers, like help me in answering
some questions so I know which one informations are no and which actually not.
24. Turn Any Table Into a Stunning Database!: Let's basically now cover extremely useful way
on how to create our databases from scratch
with the help of I overall, this is the great on me
thought to basically create the database template
and actually auto fill the entire
information inside of it. And with that being said, save a lot of your time
in order to do it. Firstly, we need to create a table with the
information that we want. For example, I can type
something like this. Create for me a table with
five cut bridge, for instance. Include the categories such
as lifespan for length, eye color, caracteristics, for example, approach
to children. We have our table
with the entire information such as lifespan, full length eye
color, et cetera. Now, in order to turn
it into the database, we need to highlight
the entire table. Basically there we can
select the options. Now we've got the option
to turn it into database. Now just look how great it is. We need to only change
the titles, for example. We've got the name
there, the lifespan. Basically, you've got all of your information inside of
this database in a mesecond. You don't need to do
this by yourself. If you have your properties
named correctly, you can go over there and delay this one row
and you've got it. So we've got five
different breeds of the cuts with the exact
properties that we wanted. All right, there we've got a lot of different information. Even this is great when
you want to create some like database and basically you want to have the
template for it, all right? Because obviously you
can change a lot of information inside of it
if you don't like it. But actually it will save
you a lot of your time. And basically this
is the great way to start to create our
databases from the scratch, and as I told, save
a lot of your time.
25. AI Properties: Fulfill Your Database With The Help Of AI: So in this lecture of
this section we are going to cover more
advanced and I would say unusual concept of the
AA feature in the notion because actually it will be more tailored for the
notion purposes. Basically, we'll
learn how to create the AI powered properties
inside of our databases. So let's say that we'll
have the property created by the AI
and afterwards, for example, we can auto fill the entire informations from
this one property, right? So for the entire column, if you don't already understand what does that
mean, don't worry. Because I will show
you exactly everything step by step in this one video. Therefore, stay to the end because this is something
really amazing. Right now, I'm in my
database for the recipes. And basically every
time you could notice when you add a new
property at the top, you've got these options, so suggested by the AI. And afterwards below, you've
got the typical one options. And basically there like the AI, suggest us which one
property we can create. So for example, we've
got the description, the e mail, is it
vegetarian or not, Or whether the
creator of the dish. And actually there
you've got other different like the
properties that you can use. For example, the recipe file or the preparation
time for example. Now we can select
the description. All right, and now we can
see we've got the option AI autopil and
when we enable it, so we pick the
option to summary. It will summary
all of the pages. For example, it will summary the page of the
spaghetti bolonesz. And it will create for us the description
inside of this box. And following it
will do the stuff with each page in this
exact database. All right? So I can click Summary
and Safe Changes. All right. And I need
to turn on auto Update. And now I can go over and
out to fill all pages. And now we will see it
creates for us the entire like the description for
those ones, like the recipes. All right, so now if I go over there and I will
wrap the columns, you can see we've
got it, so we've got the description and the AI, like the icon, and
there we've got the descriptions
for it, basically. With that being said, you can do a lot of, a lot of stuff. And this is something really helpful because as I
will show you later, you can do just
everything with it. All right, basically
this feature is only available now to use to the users that purchased the Notion
II to their plan. And basically it costs
approximately $12 for me, this is something really
incredible and worth to buy. But you know, this is
only my recommendation. I'm using it every
time when I'm using the notion and basically there
with the notion package, you've got unlimited
uses of the AI, not only the 20,
but unlimited uses. And basically you
are able to use, for example, this one feature. Which is really powerful
because with it we can actually do a lot
of inside of databases. So if you would like to
explore this notion, A package and know what is inside or even like
purchase this entire plan, I will attach the link in the resources of this
material. All right. So there you can find
everything about it. But also remember that this is the monthly plan and as I told, the cost is approximately $12 That depends from the
taxes, et cetera. Right. So the location of yours and basically as I told,
this is your choice. You can purchase
it or not. For me, as I found, this
is very helpful. Nevertheless, let's go over
to the next one, use cases, and basically we'll notice that for a different databases, you will have the different, like the properties
suggested by the AI. For example there as
I told, we've got, for example, is it for the
vegetarian or the recipe file. But when we go over to
the finance trucker and we'll click on
the plus there, you can see it's thinking about the properties
to suggest us. All right, and now we've
got account number, account type, account
status, et cetera. All right, so we
can see you've got other ones like the
properties suggested. So not this ones that you had, for example in the recipes
like the database. And this is something
even great, because actually it gives us the idea for the next one of properties that
we can create. So even if you don't
want to use this one, properties like
suggested by the AI, you can even create like for
example, this one property, so account status for yourself
and basically fill it out. But now you can say, all right, so can I use only
those ones property suggested by the AI
or even I can create, for example my custom property which will be
like this one that I want. All right, so this one property basically, yes,
this is the true, you can create your
custom property and exactly create the prompt for the AI to do the stuff for you. All right, so do the
specific action. In order to do it, we need
to create the property. Next, click the text. Now we've got this one option, so a out of file. We
can go over there. Now select an option, and now we've got the
option to custom auto fil. And there you can type
everything that you want. For example, now I
would like to create the ingredient list for
this one recipe, all right? Because there obviously we
don't have the ingredients, so I can type create for
me the ingredient list. All right, And now I can go over and click Try
on this view also, if you don't like the response, you can go over and try again. But for now, I can go over
and click Safe Changes. Now you can notice we've
got the entire text, The entire ingredients
for the specific recipes. And this is something
really amazing, because imagine that you had to do it by yourself. All right. Manually. All right. So write
this entire ingredients. So what does feature exactly
do and how it works? Basically, it opens the page
of the specific recipe. For example, this one's Paghetti bolonness for this
one ingredients. And basically it reads the
entire information from. All right. And take the ones
that we want. All right. So there we've got
the entire like the ingredients even you
can see it created for us, the property inside of the
page for the ingredients. So now we've got it, We can
copy it to the clipboard. And I thought this is the great way because
you can see it extracted all of the
ingredients that we want and we have
inside of our dish, as I told at the beginning, if you don't have the notion a plan and you would
like to purchase it, you can go over to
the description where I will attach the link. And by this way you will
buy for me a little coffee. Or whether, if you would like,
you can go over and type the notion a plan and
basically buy it by this way. All right, so the
choice is yours. So actually for
me, this is one of my favorites notion, A features. All right, because right there, imagine for example you've
got the hundred rows and basically you can

at this lecture, which is the exercise where
we'll learn how to create the databases and basically how to use the AA
powered properties. And at the beginning, I need
to mention if you don't have the paid subscription to the AA features
inside of the notion, so you don't have the
actual possibility to create the AA properties. Even I have something for you because we'll practice how to actually create the databases from the scratch
with the help of AI. So we are actually able
to do this for free. For the purpose
of this exercise, I would like to create
the AA property that will automatically respond
for the student reviews. All right, and actually you will see the entire
process step by step. So I would like firstly
to create the table which will include the categories
such as the name, the review of the student, the rating of the student, and basically, as I told the property for the response
for this one review. Basically, I need to
mention at the beginning that every time when I
respond to the student, I do it by myself, All right? I'm not using any like the
artificial intelligence. But you know, this is the great example for this one purpose. All right, so for this
exercise therefore, we can go over to the action. Basically, I would
like to create a table for my students reviews. All right, now I would like to include the categories
such as name, let's say the review. Next we've got the rating. For now we can leave it. And also I can type
something like create ten roles with ten, let's say random names
of the students. Basically, we can leave it. All right, and now we
can run this prompt. We've got a little
bit misunderstanding because we've got the names, the student one, student two, student three, et cetera. But now we can adjust it so
I can type something like replace the names
of the student, for example, student one, but random name,
Name and surname. For instance, we can

and see how it goes. This is perfect. We've got it. All right, so our names, I even did the misspelling in

to sort our informations. Basically there you
can see I've got ten bullet points with different dates and
the events for them and actually I've got them in
the random order but now I would like to sort them by the outstanding
and understanding. All right, so make
the order correct. For that case I can
go over and use the notion AI which
will do it for me. So I can go over and
highlight the entire text. Ask AI and basically like type something like make the order correct from the oldest
to the newest event. Actually, this is the
great way to sort any of our informations by
basically any of the metric. So for example, you would like
to sort the information by the alphabet or whether the time left for your
project to accomplish. All right, so you've got the tasks and you
would like to know which one tasks priority is the most important at
the specific time. Because obviously
you want to finish the task which has like
the two days left. Then the task where
you have like the 20 days to
accomplish afterwards. Let's say now I've got
the following example. I would like to learn
the Spanish. All right. So the words in the Spanish, I would like to sort like my information and like
inserted into nice form. All right, so I've got the
ten words in the Spanish. I would like to like create the table of the translation of the swords in the English and basically like the
meaning of the swords. All right, I can go over there, highlight the entire text, and ask AI to create
for me the table. I can type create for me a
table with three columns. The first one should be the word in Spanish English translation. For example, English explanation of this word. We've got it. We've got the table

explanation for this word. This is really nice
form to learning the new words because like
with the explanation, you can better remember
the meaning of the word. All right, afterwards we can go over and basically highlight the entire table and actually turn it into the
database. We've got it. All right, so we've
got the word, the first one, like the
translation in the English, basically this is the
great way how you can actually not only sort
the information but create some additional
information and basically like organize
your entire workspace.
28. Create Captivating Pie Charts With The Help Of AI: In this video, we are going
to take a closer look on how to create the
beautiful pie charts in the notion with
the help of AI. In order to create the
useful pie charts. Firstly, we need to generate
some useful data as always. For that purpose, we can use the notion I Basically,
we can go over, enter the space and type
something like create for me a pie chart in Mermaid that shows me let's say seven top cities in the
world by population. Afterwards you can
notice we've got this beautiful pie chart
with all of the information. All right, so we've got the
Tokyo, Delhi, Shanghai, Sao Paulo, even like chosen
for us, the right form. Because obviously if you
don't have this entire look, you need to go over there
to the left top corner, I would say, of this one box. And basically now select
the mermaid there. We've got a mermaid afterwards, you will see this one
entire view afterwards. Let's create something else. For example, create for me
a pie chart in Mermaid for top ten the richest
countries by GDP. Actually, again we
have it. All right, so this beautiful pie chart. At the first place, we've
got the United States, at the second one place, we've got the China
basically there. You can change the view of this like the pie chart for example, like the preview for
only the pie chart without the as you can see there or even only see the
code or even make it split. All right, so you will
see the entire code, so the numbers and
also like there, like the entire pie chart.
29. Create Effective Study Guides: Now you know that the AA in the notion is
really powerful. We've got a lot of
different use cases, and basically in
a lot of cases we can use the AI to
automate our work. In this one lecture will
actually cover how to create the guides or
even the study plans. Or whether just outline our new ideas basically
without unnecessary speaking. Let's get into the action
and now I would like to show you it on the really
like the useful example. For instance, I
would like to create the outline for
the Youtube video and actually create the step by step guide that will take
me from the A to the Z. And like this one
particular topic, let's take something like write an outline on how to
create the Youtube video. Step by step, we've got the
following informations. Conceptualize, the
idea, script writing, storyboarding, gather
your equipment, filming, editing, et cetera. All right, for that case, we can expand our
guide and basically create the step by step guides for the specific
like the sub points. All right, for that case I
can go over right there, highlight this entire part. And for example, ask I to create for me the
step by step guide for it. Let's say create for me ten step process
for this subpoint. And basically we've got it, our ten steps guide, all right, But you can see it
inserted like the entire, like the guide inside
of our number. At least we can go
over right there and, for instance, organize
it in nice form. So be careful. All right, because our second one sub
point is script writing. But basically there I
highlighted the ten points. All right, and now I can go over to the dots

in the short video where we'll know the
way how we can simplify our data management and actually use this
method when you would like to organize
your entire data and basically categorize it. For that case, we'll use AI to actually create
for us the tax for the specific product
or whether they element inside of our database. And basically also we'll use the properties
created by the AI. Right now I'm in
the database with the current books and actually let's go over and add
the new property. So I can go over at the text and basically name
it as the tax. Basically, right
now we can turn on the AA Auto Fill Select option and click Custom Auto Feel. I have the following prompt. Go through the entire
information from the articles of the books and indentify up to
free tax to categorize it, don't write unnecessary
information in the response. Include only three
words that are the tax. Afterwards you can
see we've got it. So we've got our tax. Unfortunately we've got
there the word tax. But this is not a problem because right
there, for example, we can go over and type include the word tag
and it should work. Nevertheless, I would
like to go over now. All right, and now change the property of this to the Multi select to actually
create our tax. So let's see, we've got the multi select and
actually this is it. All right, so
effortlessly we created our tax for the specific books. All right, so we've
got it and then we can see we can edit the property
and if you would like, if you have some issues, you can go over there
and change the text, apply the background, all right. Act it is something really great because
basically with it, you can categorize
your information and create like the

This lecture will be dedicated for the
project of the section. But first things

summary, for example, the quotes, the main facts, the most important
informations, et cetera. All right, For that case I
would like obviously create the database and basically do
the entire staff so apply, for example the AA
properties, et cetera. Also like create the
content like with the AI. All right, so with
that being said, let's go over and start creating our entire
like the storage. But before we start, I
would like to add the like the cover so I
can change the cover. As always, I like to go over
to the unsplash library. All right. Now, for example, something like this,
it looks really cozy. All right, and
inside of our topic, maybe something like
that. That's perfect. Now let's go over and actually use our first
one thought with the AI to create the table and afterwards like change
it to the database. All right, for that
case I can go click the space I would like
to create for me, the table for the book storage include categories such
as name of the book. Then for example, let's
go over and maybe cover the rating afterwards. Let's take the
quotes, for example. Let's say we can
apply the category, all right, Or whether the
tax as you would like. For instance, I can type
in seven random books. And actually there we
can leave this prompt. Because afterwards we'll
add more like the features, et cetera, every information. But for now, it
looks really solid. So we've got the book,
the name of the book, the rating quotes,
and the category. All right, we can go
over there, for example. Even we can add the two quotes, do not include the many. We can go over now
and run the prompt. We need to adjust it
a little bit so I can type in the name of book. Take the random one
book, for example, the Lord of the Rings instead
book on E. That's great. Later we can type, for example, create only the one
column for the, for instance, we can try out
with something like this. Leave the column with
category blank, for example. All right. All right,
so we've got it. We've got the name of the book, rating quotes and the category, and even seven round

you will have your own the book storage for your books that
you, for example, read. But for now I would
like to leave it and basically read the
entire database on it. Firstly, I can go over and, for example,
customize the pages. So I can go over right there and actually start with
something like this. Summarize for me
the entire book. And basically we have
it on that page even. We can add something else. For example, we can go over, it is not related to the AI, but we can add the image
of the Lord of the Rings. Let's say you've got
something like this and we have it, this cozy house. All right, now for instance, we can create something else. For example, create
for me a list of the most important
events from this book. Afterwards, you can see
like in a few minutes with the help of I and the
knowledge that we have gained, we created our
entire summary for this entire book and also
key events of this book. Afterwards, we can
go close this one page and basically do the same stuff with
all of the pages. All right, so we've got it. We have the pages fulfilled for the specific books.
We've got the rating. Now let's get into the
quotes and actually create and find the quotes
for the specific books. We can go over and click
Set up A out to fill. Actually we can go over there. Click on the custom auto
file and I can type something like search for me the two most interesting
for each book. Basically, we can type
something like only provide the in the form. All right, Now don't include necessary
information right there. We can type only
provide the quotes. Remember every time to be as descriptive as you
can. All right? Because obviously you want to
have the best one results. With that being said, we can
go over, save the changes, turn out to fill all pages. This is great. We've
got our quotes. We can go over and wrap
the columns to see. Let's cover what we have. This is quite interesting. We've got different parts
of the Lord of the Rings. It gave for us like different quotes for
like specific part. All right, so we've got
there the six quotes there. We've got the two quotes there. Again, 2.2 Basically,
it looks really great. All right, so that's
how we can do this. We can again, go over and unwrap the columns
to see it better. For now, let's create actually the category so I can
go over there again. Set up a auto file category. We've got custom
autopil, let's say. I would like to create
the prompt Create for me up to two tacks for
each specific book. For example, let's say don't include at the beginning
of the response word tax. Only provide the two words that are tax in the response. This is now great, we've got our tags in really nice form
without the word tag. All right, and everything
is at the point. And now we can go
over and now Edit property and make it
as the multi select. Now you can see in
emerged seconds we've got our categories. Four, the specific books. And this is something
great because this is the great way to
categorize our books. In a second even. Let's create something else I can go over with
the AS summary, we can out to fill all pages. And basically this is
something really great. We've got the summary of the books so that
we have it for now. We have created
our database with all the pages fulfilled for the specific books
with the rating, with the properties
created by the AI, with the quotes also with the AA summary and

like the overview. So the comparison table of the entire books.
All of the books. All right, for that case, I can go over and type
to the AI Create for me the table to compare all of the books together include the most useful
columns for you. When it comes to comparison,
make it professional. Basically, the most
important part is that we need to mention
the names of the books. Actually, we can't refer to
the database, for example. All right, We can't select
it and for example, choose the AA feature
to refer to it. All right, because we
can't do this actually, we need to go over again. I can paste it and
basically provide the titles for the books titles. Maybe let's take this
one Tale of Two Cities, maybe let's take the
Catcher in the Rye. Afterwards, we have
our comparison table with the categories
such as the book title, outdoor publication date,
general, and the summario. Right. Everything that we want. And basically you can
notice in this one project, we used a lot of
different AA features. And basically you could
practice how to use them in the action and basically in the most proper ways

32. Notion Formulas: Welcome all of you in the
section where we'll take a closer look on the
more advanced features that we have available
in the notion. So for now we are very familiar with the
notion and basically, you know, the large part of all of the features
that we have out there. But actually this one
knowledge from this section will take your skill to
the really advanced level. In this lecture, we'll
cover the formula's basics, and this will be the
first one feature that will cover
from this section. So overall, what is the formula? Formula is actually
the property in our database and it allows us basically to do multiple
different things, such as any calculations, logical operations, manipulate text or
whether data and more. It will be the best to show
it on the real examples. Therefore, let's go over
and create the database. Let's say I've got
the three properties. The move, all right,
the income for the move and
expenses, all right? And now I can create
the formula through the new one property by
clicking on the plus there. We need to search for like
the property called formula. Then we've got it, all right, We can click right now
to edit the formula. And we've got this one, like the box, all right, and there we'll do a lot of
different things basically. Let's start with the
simple calculations. I would like to know my outcome
for the specific moves. For example, for that case I can substract the income from
the expenses, All right? So I can do the following thing. I can go over there and for
example, choose the income. And now press the minus. Basically substruct
the expenses. All right, now when
we've done it, we can go over and click on this button and we'll
see the results. Now we can see everything is like counted as I
told you right there. We just substracted the income from the expenses, all right? Even inside of it. The other stuffs, for example, divide or whether multiply, all right, Or whether add
to the amounts, all right? Every time if I will
click on the Done, it will be updated even more. We can go over there
and for example, multiply the expenses by two and the number
will be like bigger. All right? And basically
like as I told you, can do a lot of
different stuff with it. But this is the example of
the simple calculations. So if you have the two numbers, three ones or whether like the four ones
or whether you would like to multiply something
from some like the bracket, you can go over there
and create the formula. And basically do this stuff
really easily because it's very intuitive and basically are able to
do that by yourself. Also, if you will
have some errors in your formula there below, we will have like
this red triangle. So this is the sign that you
need to adjust something. Also, what is even great if you will update some amount,
for example this one, and change something, it will be constantly updated
in our formula. All right, so for example, you can see this is
something really useful. And basically you can
have like the current, like the information
at the specific time. But afterwards, let's go over
to the logical operations. And for now, for example, I would like to compare
two numbers and get the output information
if they are equal or not. All right, for that case, I can go over again and
create the formula for this. So we've got the formula, we can again click
on Added Formula. And basically now let's say
I would like to compare the income to the expenses if those numbers
are equal or not. So I can go over and pick the income and basically
now I can type two equals and compare it
to the expenses right now. And basically I can click down and we'll get like
the check boxes. So you can see no
numbers are equal. But basically if I go over there and provide the same number, now we can see like this. Checkbox is like checked. All right, again, there, this is the logical operation that we have inside
of our formulas. Even we can do the same
with the text right there. I have like the two properties
for the text and we can compare them and
see if they are equal. All right, so the same. We can go over again to the formula. Take the first one
properties of the animals. One, all right? And again, take the two equals and compare it to
the animal two. We can compare, for example, the text from
different properties. But let's do something
a little bit harder. We can go over and
delay this property. And go over there and edit
this one property right there. Let's delay this
entire formula and basically type the
open the bracket. Now let's say we would like to compare two
numbers for example. The income number.
So this one numbers are bigger than the expenses. Now there, this is
the great example because you see the
entire formula. If the condition, so we've got the condition the income is
bigger than the expenses. If like the condition is true, I would like to get the income. And basically now we've got
if condition is like false, I would like to get the
expenses. All right. So after coma and this
is our entire formula, we've got the condition, so income is bigger
than the expenses. And if it's true, we've got the income. So we'll get the output
like the value in the, like this one brackets. And if it's not, we'll get the expenses values inside
of this one propriety. All right. So now
we can check it. Click it, Done. So there
we can see how it works. I changed a little bit
the numbers nevertheless, let's go over and
analyze it, All right? So if income value, so this one value is
bigger than the expenses, the answer is yes. All right? So the income value is bigger
than the expenses value. Therefore, we'll get
the income value inside of the formula
box, all right? So everything is correct. If it was the false
and expenses value was like bigger than
the income value, we'll get the expenses value inside of the formula
and they're following. We've got another one, numbers. So if the income is bigger than the expenses,
this is the true. So we've got the income value and there we've got
the two numbers. And basically if the
income is bigger than the expenses and the
answer is the falls, all right, Because
obviously they are equal. All right, there we'll get
like the expenses value. And basically what is
even better is that, for example, you can provide
the text, not the value. For example, let's
say inside of it, I would like to put the text. If this condition is true, I can type like the true. All right, close it, type. Now if it's false, I can go over and
provide the false. Now we can check it
and there you can see. All right, so this
is the example. Like this value is not
guard and expenses, therefore this is the false. And there again we've
got the true value. So everything is at the point. But let's go ahead and now discover other one,
formula types. All right, now we'll cover
something that we can use, for example in the Tasktracker
or whether where you have like the project or just
some tasks inside of it. There we've got the
completion date of the specific tasks. And obviously, sometimes when we have some tasks
we would like to do the review before like the completion date to check
if everything is correct. All right, so for example, if we are able to complete the task before the
completion date. And basically, firstly,
I would like to create the property which the
type will be the number. And I can type something
like so the title will check basically there. I can, for example, provide
the numbers of days, how much days before the completion date I would
like to review there. Like the specific task, for example, this task
is in the high priority. I would like to review it in seven days before
completion date. For example, there
the three days there, the five, there again the seven, because the priority is high. Then for example, like the
three or whether the two. Now let's go over and
create the formula. Let's pick the
formula, click add it. Now let's actually subtract the completion date
from this one. Like the numbers, All right, let's type the following
function, data, substract. Now we can see we've got
the functions available. Whether we've got the
date at substract, date range, and everything. But for now, let's click
the date substract. Then let's go over and
pick the completion date. And now there you can
see the entire template. So we've got the date
we need to provide the number and the unit there
we've got different units. So for example, the days
moves or whether the years. But now I can go
over and provide the coma and pick the
property which is the number, so everything is correct. So check now the
unit for that case. I would like to have the days. Let me go over and
provide the days. Now actually we can click Done and basically
see if that works. This is something
really incredible. Even if you will change
the completion date, you can see now it will
change constantly, basically. Right now I've got the filters. So this is the date
that I changed. And there we've got the check. So seven days before, and there we've got
the February 8. And everything is at the point, even when we are
creating our formulas, basically we can refer
to another one formula. For example, let me
go over and create a new formula where we got it. All right, we can
edit it, basically. Let's count the days
between these two dates. For example, we've got the
date between. Let me find it. All right, right
there now we can take our like the
completion date. Provide the there,
let's take our formula. This one box and basically
again, provide the days. Now let's click Done. Now you can see we've got
it between these two dates. So the February 12
and the February 9, we've got the three
days like between them. And for example, again, if we will change
something right there, like all of the
properties will change. All right, so now we
can see we've got the blank space and there
everything changes, all right, inside of our
formulas so that we have it. In this lecture we covered
the formula basics. And actually this is the
expanded topic, all right? But basically now we've got the basics of like the
formulas, all right? So we know how to use them, how to do the simple
calculations, how to compare some
things, et cetera. And basically in the

features inside of the notion.
33. Discover Advanced Blocks In Notion: So in this video, let's explore more advanced blocks that we have available in the notion. So first things first, we've got the buttons, all right, I can go over there, provide the type button, and now we've got the
entire options to set. Like our button, we
can change the name. So for example, to list creator. Now we can add the action
inside of it. All right. For example, we can add the
action and the add page. Two added page. All right, Insert blocks. So I can click in
that case for it. Basically there I can work
as on the normal page. So I can type, for example, let's create a To list. Now this is everything I can
go over and make it done. And now we can see we've got this button every time
when we click on it, it will create for
us the new to list. All right, with like the one box to check if
we can do something else. For example, create the button for creating the new pages. All right, so I can
type the page creator. Now for instance, even
we can change the icon. Let's type the document. Basically something like this. Maybe now I can go
over right there, type the slash,
and type the page. All right, empty page. Now I can go over
back basically. Now we've got the page creator and every time when
I click on it, it will create for me
one page. All right. So we can see, and
that's how you can create the button
for creating the pages. Also there you can edit this, all right, by clicking
on this icon. Basically there you
can add another steps. You can insert the block right there at the numbered list. For example, numbered list, basically, now you've got
two different things. For example, I can type, this is the new page. Now I can go over
and click on Done, and we can see this is a new
page and the page again, and that's how it works. Or even we can do something
more complex because actually we can create the
buttons for bigger elements. For example, let's go
over and type the button. Basically there we can copy the entire table
that we created. Now, add the action
insert blocks, and basically paste it
inside of it, All right? All right, so we can see
entire table. Click done. Actually when we click
on it it will create for us the new table
for this purpose. All right, let's cover another useful feature
that, for example, will remind us when the completion date of the
project is very close. All right, for that
case we can go over and type the
at on our keyboard. And there you can see we've
got the options to date, remind tomorrow, 09:00
A.M. We can click on it. And basically there if you
got the notifications, it will remind you tomorrow
at 09:00 A.M. All right. Even you can go over there
and change the date, for example, to the
13 of the February. And like the hour 12:00 A.M.
basically that we have it. With that case, you can
go over and, for example, create the reminders
inside of some workspaces. And basically in some pages even you've got the
option which is today. And actually there you can change a lot of
different informations. So, for example, set the date or whether the
time to remind it. So for example, one day before, two days before end date, we've got the February 14 or whether we can include
the time, et cetera. So there we've got a lot
of different features. Next we've got the
feature which is actually very useful when
you're working with the team. All right, basically
by typing the D, we can go over and
like mention someone. For example, let's
say me because I'm the only person
who is on the page. And basically by this way, we can mention the
specific person actually, this person will get the notification if this
person like has it enabled. Afterwards, we've got
the equation block where we can do the math. I can type the equation
and whether we've got the block equation
or the inlay equation. All right, firstly, let's
cover the block equation. Now let's say I would
like to type something. Let's say M equals the
x with the index one, plus x with the index two. Basically, we can do the minus five to the
second power of two. And basically plus
five basically. Now we'll use the command. We've got the times,
let's say five. We can click down
basically there. We've got the block with
this like math exercise. Even if we have some text,
for example right there, we can go over type and
provide the inline equation. And actually right there
again, we can type something. For example, x with the index three plus five to the power
of the two, et cetera. Right next we have
the block called bread crumbs and actually
shows our current location. All right, we can see
that I'm in the page of the notion and the
subpage task tracker. And the last one feature
that will cover in this lecture will be the
table of the content. For example, let's
say you've got a really long article or whether like a lot
of information on your page and
basically you would like to like summarize it and create the table of content to even navigate
better on the page. For that case, I can go over
and type table of content. Now you can see it creates for us the entire
table of content. If I click on it, it will
just highlight the parts. Or even, let's say
if I will take this entire content
and paste it, it will just update, all right, For instance, it will redirect us to the
specific like element, the conclusion, and
it will highlight it. This is the great way to
like navigate on your page.
34. Explore Synced Blocks: Let's talk about the sene blocks and what they actually do. So this is really
powerful feature and basically you'll
notice in a while. So I can go over
and type sen block, basically I can
create it actually, let's provide some
content I had there. For example, heading one, this is the special block. Let's go over with the divider. Next, we can generate
some random text with the AI, generate random text. Let's generate the image. Take something from the splash. We can take something maybe
like this. That's great. Shrink it a little bit
because it's too large. All right, we can even
provide some fig else. Now we can say we
definitely have some like the content
inside of our block. Also there you can notice
we have the red lines. All right, they define
the area of our block. Nevertheless, let's now go
over and do the simple step. Go over to the
right top corner of this block and click copy. And S. All right, now we've got the
notification copied. Now paste in any page
to sing content. We can go over there and
paste the entire block. And let's actually now do some
changes in only one block. For example, delay the word. Now you can see it, not only changes like the information
inside of this block, but basically inside
of our initial block. This is something really awesome because sine blocks allows us to adjust the information at the same time in
the multiple blocks. It doesn't matter in which one block you've
got the content. When you will delete something
right there, for example, it will be deleted in other
like the Sinhad blocks. But let's actually
do something else. Let's go over and
create a new page. All right, empty page and
opening and the full width. Make it there, full width. And basically there, I would
like to paste the entire, like the center block. Now we can see we've got it now. Let's see. We can, for example, delay this entire to the list. Now let's go over back to the center blocks or right,
so our initial ones. So the two ones.
And basically there you can notice even there
we've got the changes. It doesn't matter even on which one page you've
got the syn blocks. It changes constantly,
everywhere. But what is even interesting, if we go over and we'll copy some element
from the one page, and it doesn't need
to be the syn block, we copy it, go over
to another one page, and basically we'll
paste it like not in the cynic blocks and we'll just paste it in
the blank space. We'll have these two options, paste and sin, or whether. This means if we will
click Paste and sink, this will work as similar. All right, so as
this one example, it will create for us
basically the two blocks that are basically connected. I can go over delay
the date from here, go right there to the initial
file and I will see it is also delayed and now
we've got the cynic blocks.
35. Notion Web Clipper: Copy & Paste Any Page Into Your Workspace!: In this lecture, we'll
talk about the notion really powerful feature which is actually the extension
that we can download. And it is named the
notion web clipper. If you haven't done it yet, don't worry because in this
lecture I will show you exactly how to download it
and basically how to use it. Basically, Notion Web
clipper allows us to save any page of the Internet
to our workspace. So whether if you are
browsing any like the article or whether the page you can simply with the feature, do the copy and paste. And actually this page
will be in your workspace. As I told at the beginning, if you haven't downloaded
this one extension yet, the link will be in the
resources of this material. All right, there you've
got the free browsers. Solve the Chrome, the Safari, or whether the Firefox. And basically now I can
click on this install for Chrome and now add to
Chrome afterwards. And extensions you should have like the
notion web clipper. And when we click
on it, you've got this entire interface basically. Now I will show
you how to use it. Imagine you're
browsing the Internet. All right, and basically
you're reading some article, for example, there I've got
the recipe for the Tiramisu. Actually I would
like to copy and paste this one entire
page to my workspace. And the notion, basically, I had to do this before by just copying the entire text and actually just pasting it
inside of the notion. But now we've got our extension which is the notion web clipper. If we click on it, we've
got like the interface. This is the name of the page that we'll create right there. We can change it, for
example, the Tiramisu recipe. There we've got the
different options. We can actually up this page to the existing one database. Or whether when we click on it, we can create the new database. Let me go over and click
the new links database. Now we can choose the work
space. All right, right there. Basically the only thing that we need to do is to save a page. Afterwards, we can go over
and open in the ocean. There, you will get the entire page with this
one recipe in a second. All right. You can notice at the left side of the
page it created for us, like the page named my links. All right, When we click on it, we can see now we've got the
database it created for us, the database from the scratch. When we click on it, you'll
see in the side peak, we'll get this entire
like the page. But basically, let's say I've got already the database
for the recipes. For that case, I
would like to copy this entire page directly
to the one database. All right, therefore
we need to go over to our notion web clipper. And right there we can go over
and click on the option at too and basically
search for the recipes. All right, so I got my database with the
recipes and basically, let's now go over and save the page and actually
open notion, now we've got our page. But what is even interesting when we go over to
the recipes database, you can see now that suddenly we've got inside
of our database, the new recipe, which
is the Baklava recipe. All right, there we've
got the entire page. If you open it, you can see we've
got the side pick. All right, and the entire
information inside. Even more. We've got
there the URL. All right. So we can go over copy it and go over to the specific
page with the S recipe. But basically every time, remember when you
would like to copy like any page inside
of your database? To choose the database, not the page where
the database is. For example, this recipes with
this one icon is the page. But basically, when I go over there and open the
database as a full page, now we can see this is our
direct database, not this one. This is only the page,
and this is our database. For that case, I
will show you this. Basically, we can go over
there to the extensions, click on the Notion Web
Clipper and choose the Recipe. And now we can see even there, we've got the databases and
there we've got the pages. So for example, if I go
over and copy the page to the recipe page and I will
click open in notion, you can see we have
our entire page copied but below our
entire database. All right, so
actually we copy like this page inside directly to
the page, not the database. So notion web clipper is very powerful because
actually with it you can copy any information in
a second and actually just include it and insert in some databases or whether

36. Learn How To Use Relations in Notion: Have you ever been thinking
about is there in the notion like the possibility to
actually take the one database? Basically take the
second one database and connect them together, and the answer is yes. Therefore, in this video, we'll talk about something like the relations and the roll ups. So actually I have
the two databases. The one is like with
the students reviews. All right, so there
we've got the name, the review, the rating,
the text, et cetera. And the second one is
like with the courses. All right, so basically
the courses available and those ones reviews are specified for the particular courses
in the one database. Now let's say I would like to
take the following action. I would like to see which
one person actually took the course and basically
left the review for it. For this purpose, we
have the relations. Actually we can go over, take this database and basically
with the relations, refer to this one database, create the connections
between them. Let's go over now and
create the relation. I need to go over to this one database because obviously I would like
to refer to this one. Click on the plus and tax
search for the relation. All right, so we've got the
property called relation. We can click on it
and now we can see, we can link to a database
specific database. There we've got the
students reviews. We can go over, click on it. And even now we have
the following option to basically show the property
also in this one database. All right, so in the students reviews, so we can enable it. And now click at Relation. And now we can see right
there we've got the relation. So the property, students reviews and their
available courses. And right now I can do
the following action. For example, I've got the course mid journey master class, and I see there that Eva Brown took this class and
basically left the review. I can go over there
and actually from this entire database I
can select the Eva Brown. And now we can notice right
there we've got the name. And also there it updated and refers to the mid
journey masterclass. All right, so every time when we choose the
person now we will see it will create for us like the connection between
these two databases. Even it works opposite. Let's say Oliva Smith took
the Leonardo AI class, so I can go over and
select the Leonardo AI. And now it will

useful shortcuts. But now what I recommend

familiar with the shortcuts in the notion and you have never used them in
the notion before, like this is the great idea
to learn only a few of them. Because basically
it's very hard to include using the shortcuts

in this lecture, try to pick the three of them that will be the most
relevant for you. So we will like them the most. And you will think that
they are the most useful. All right, when you're
working often in the ocean, it will help you a lot and basically save a
lot of your time. Nevertheless, without
more speaking, let's get into the action. The first one shortcut will be for duplicating the content. You can go over and
highlight some content and basically afterwards
click control D again. If you will click it, it
will show multiple times. Afterwards we've
got the shortcut, which will be very useful
when you, for example, have a lot of pages inside of your workspace to quickly
find like the specific pages. All right, so we can
click the control P and afterwards there you've
got like the quick search. So the quick menu where you
can find your specific pages. For example, let's say
I've got this one, like the page and the sub
pages of it, a lot of them. And instead of just
searching something, I can go over Click Control. Afterwards, I can search
for the table of content. And basically a little bit faster we can
get access to it. The next one shortcut will
allow us to quickly select the text where our cursor
is currently at this time. All right, for example, I can click right there
and basically click Control A and the entire
text is selected. Also, when you will go over to the blank space and again
you will click the control, the entire text from the
page will be selected. Next, we've got the
following use case. When we have, for example, our cursor inside of some block. And we will click the Cape. It will select the
entire block with this, for example, checkbox
and with the Controla, we didn't have it
because like we had only like the text selected, but right there we've got
the entire block selected. And basically we
can, for example, click control X to like cut it. All right, Next let's cover

can see you've got the quote next we've
got the number at list. In order to do this, we need to go over and type, for example, the number one and the dot, and afterwards type the space, and we've got the
number at list. If you want to create
the check boxes, you need to go over and
type the left bracket and the right bracket and now the space and
you will receive it. All right. By this way, you can create the checkboxes. Next what we have
is the divider. You can simply create it

my overall tips and tricks for you to apply inside of your notion
to basically like improve your workflow
and save your time. Tip number one is
to make it simple. Every time when you
create any page, any database, or
whether any block, please make it simple. I've seen a lot of
people that are doing really advanced databases. The pages, I would say 50% of the content of
it is unnecessary. I personally prefer to keep the most important like the
parts of, for example, database because
obviously sometimes you don't need to have
a lot of it, all right. Basically a lot of
proprieties, a lot of content. If you have too much elements, it's getting really messy. I personally use
notions for a lot of different purposes for
personal life and the work. My databases looks
really simple. Also my pages, I just include only the most important parts without unnecessary
fluff. All right? And basically this is
really powerful tip because I would say be as
minimalistic as you can, you don't need like
the advanced really features to work in
your workspaces. And basically I would say
this is better for your brain because actually
when you see like the most important properties, whether the pages,
it's just better to understand whether remember
where everything is. Also you won't need to
search for the specific like the properties as
I told or whether the pages because
everything will be sinful. And this is really powerful tip. The tip number two is
to restore the pages. You know, we are
working sometimes in the page and basically
would like to have the version of the page before some edits because
you did something and it's not like the
eye catch or whether it's unnecessary or just
you changed your mind. For that case, you can go
over and restore the page. You can go over
to the three dots now click to the
View Edit History. There you can see you've got a lot of different
edits on this page. And you can see, for example,
let's pick this one. You can restore it. So restore the diversion. I can do this in a while. Basically, you can see I've
got diversion that I dilated. So this is the great way
to get into diversions of the page that you
like previously created. The next one tip is to switch the modes from the
light to the dark. Whether it's night or
whether the day I like, for example, at the morning, to work with the light mode. But when it comes
to the evening, I like to press the
control shift plus L and basically switch
the mode to the black. The entire screen
is not glaring, all right, There's
no bright elements. And basically it's better to work on it afterwards
if you would like. You can change it again. You can click the
control shift plus L and again change the
mode to the bright, or rather the dark as you
would like as many times. All right, The tip
number four is to change the home page to
the last visited page. Obviously this is

say that you've got the two databases with not a lot of
proprieties, all right? And you would like to insert
them next to. All right. Basically we can go
over now, for example, I would like to duplicate
this one entire database. And what I can do now, I can go over to the Dots, and basically for now, turn this database
into the page. Again, do with this
one. The same on stuff. And afterwards we can insert this one database next
to this one database. But basically this
is the page for now. But now again, turn
it into inline. And now you can see
in Emeriseconds, we've got the databases
next to each of them. All right. With that way, you can insert two databases or more next to and basically
with this one slider, you can see the entire
the properties inside. And the last one,
tip for this lecture is to basically hide as many unnecessary
categories or whether the properties or

click right there. And basically click
on added property. For example, let's say I've
got there too much options. All right, in each one row. Therefore I would like
to go select the type. Now for example, this
one's options basically there you can see everything is like adjusting for
this one roles. We don't need to go to each other row and basically change some things, all right? Because we can do
the bulk edits, add something that
we like delay. All right. So basically
if you would like, you can go over next
to the page name and check these boxes and
basically do the edits on it. All right, so let me
go over and now edit. For example, the rating, I would like to pick the three
stars for each of them and that's how you can addit the multiple rows at the same time. The tip number four is

in the notion, the tip number seven is
to change the look of the property number to the

the property there. We've got the different options, for example, change
this one property, look to the bar and let's
say there we've got the color of the bar and

overall look is just better. The tip number ten is to
hide the database name. Basically, sometimes
it may be really overwhelming when you have the different names
of the databases. And basically there
you can go over, click on the three dots and
hide the database title. It looks for me more
like captivating and you don't have unnecessary elements
inside of your databases. Basically, if you would like, you can go over there. Click on the three
dots, all right. And now go over and show
the database title. So return it as it was. Basically, this is the
way how you can do this. The tip number 11 is to slide
the images within the page. Let's say for example,
in a page you've got a lot of different
images, all right? So there may be a
ten to 15 and you want to see all of them
without just crawling down. All right, and just
looking right this, you can go over and click
twice on some image. Now we've got the option,
for example there. You can slide the images
as you want. All right. So you can see you
can do this like this, basically if
you would like, you can zoom it up
or whether zoom it out or whether to download
the specific image. And the tip number 12 is

amazing feature. So in this chapter, we'll
start from the total basics. For what actually do
we use the buttons? What are the basic
use cases of it, how to trigger them, and also how to set it up. I will show you extremely amazing and powerful
use cases of it. Moreover, at the
end of the section, you will discover
advanced methods on how to use this amazing toll. So let's get started.
42. NEW: Let's Start With The Buttons Basics!: With all that being said, let's get started
from the basics. First and foremost, to simply
add a baton to our page, we need to type slash and
button, and then click on it. Here we have a bunch of options. There for example, we
can do something simple. We can add action,
insert blocks, and there for example, we can go over and
type to do list, and then click on Dane. Whenever we'll click
on this one button, we'll have the new one like the checkbox
for our two do list. Moreover, when it comes
to the databases, to add the buttons, we need to click on the plus and then search for the button. And here, we'll have our buttons in our
database every time, whenever we'll add a new row. Before we go further
into learning the functionalities of the
buttons and the notion, let's discuss for what even do we have the buttons.
What they do. As you could notice before, we created a button which creates one checkbox
for the Td list. However, we can go over
ahead and for example, add more components
than the one. There for instance,
I can go ahead, deleted atction, insert
blocks, and now. For example, go over
with the Td list. There just simply duplicate
this block. Do this again. And again duplicate them. And there for example, type something in there. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday,
and so on and so on. Now we can click on Dan, and there just
simply look on it. With just one single click. We can get like this entire
Td list without any effort. Again, we can just
click simply once, and we get six like
the boxes to check for our Td list with all of our informations that
we previously added. Of course, this is
very simple use case because buttons and notion have a lot of different possibilities that
are a lot of more advanced. We can go ahead and add
multi step actions and do very advanced and
complex examples. To simply answer the question, for what do we have
buttons and notion, I can say that we have
them to automate our work. With that buttons, we can
do very complex stuff, and just multiple
actions at once, and simply afterwards, just click once on just
the one button, and there we'll have
our desired results. With that being
said, let's go more deeply and type slash button, there select this option. And now click at action, and there we have a lot of
options to choose from. We'll simply cover
all of them now. Firstly, we have insert blocks. There we can insert any
block that we want. So the heading, the table, bullet at list, a quote, or whether any image. We can also do the stuff, so pick this one image. And there, click on Dane and whenever we'll
click on this button. I will have this
one exact image. Also remember that you can add more components than
one to the button. There for example, you
can click on atction, Insert blocks, there
for example type. For instance,
heading, go overhead, and add another
step insert blocks, and there for
instance, at table, where we have the
table here, again, insert blocks, and for
instance, now to the list. And now you have three
different components. You can click on Dane, and
there after you do this, you will have this
three elements at once. Next, we have the option, which is at page two. Whenever we click on it, we can select our database. For instance, I
would like to pick this one and there.
I can click on it. Now, for example, I can
choose the property, and so there I have the
name or whether the tax. Let me go over with the name. For instance, I can
pick some name. So let's go over with the look. There when I click on Done, in the meantime, let's change
the name of the button. So let's go over with the name. I can click on Done, and
now whenever I click on it, it will add the new one, I would say the row with this
exact name, so the look. And it will fulfill this one
entire like the property. And we don't need to do this
basically step by step, so adding a new page and typing the look because there we can just simply
click on the button. The next one option
is to addit pages. Whenever we click on it, there we need to choose our database. Again, our one, and there we
can click on added property. Let's say the tax. Let me add some tag. For example, I'm done. Let's go over and and progress. There I can go
overhead and click on Replace with and select,
for example, down. The let me fulfill some
of these informations. Now I can click on Dan. Whenever I click on this button, all of the options will be
fulfilled with the Dan. There we can see it worked. Also, what is very important. There we have the filters. We can add a filter group and there basically set the
values, for example. Where is the look? We'll
have the Dan option. We can go overhead
and click on Dane. There for instance, let me
do the stuff, so deleted, for example, and there fulfill it with in progress
and now see if that works. There let's go over,
and again, here, press done, and there should be done after
clicking the button, and there it shouldn't change. We can see Yes, it works. Next, we have an option
to show confirmation. And then we can ask
our question that will appear after the person
will click on the button. So there, are you sure
you want to continue? We can leave it
and click on Dane? There whenever I
click on this button, before just doing the entire like the process and the stuff, it will ask for me if I
want to continue or not, so that I can click
and continue, and nothing happened because I even didn't add
anything right there. Let me do this very quickly

can simply click completed. There the status of the page
changed to complete it. However, what we can notice, we only created this one button in just one specific page. Of course, we can go
ahead and copy it, go over to the another one page, and there just simply paste it, and again, use in this one page. It will work literally the same. You can see, however, I've got you covered because I have other more
effective solution. When we are in our database, we can click there and
click Create New Template. There we can type
something like new page, and just simply here,
create a button. Again, go over there with the tag and choose
again completed, click on Done and simply just
we created our template. Now, what it will do? Whenever we open the new page, we'll have the
following options. Empty, so the page which is empty or our template,
so new page. We can click on new page, and there we'll have our button, which will appear in a second. There you can see it works. We have our project free, and there we can
click on this button. There you can just create one
template with the buttons. That will be very useful
for your entire database and all of the actions that you do within this entire database.
44. NEW: Use Buttons In Notion as Navigation System: Buttons and notion
are also extremely useful as a navigation
system in our workspace. So as I found, again, this is very effective
because there, I can create the button at
action and open the page. And let's say, I would
like to open the page, which is named example
within the page, which is recipes, where recipes is the sub
page of the work. So there this is nested a lot
and just creating a button, which will open for
me the specific page, in that case, is
just more simple. Therefore, I can go
over here type example, and the choose this one, there we have the work, the
recipes like the subpage, and there we can open
it and the center peak. Let's say, I'm in this one
entirely like the page. However with the one click, I want to go over to the example like the
page of the recipes. There I can click here and I have my page opened
without any effort. Again, this is very very useful. B let's say, for example, you have the task list. And in a moment, you want
to go over to the calendar. Despite searching for
it, in the pages, sub pages, you can
go over ahead, and for example,
in the task list, create the connection and the navigation system to
your calendar to check when, for example, you can
accomplish some task. There it should look like
this. You create the button. You click at action open page. You seel like the calendar. There you open it whether in the side peak or the
center peak or full page. For example, there, I can go
over with the side peak and name this button as the
calendar view, for example, there whenever you're assigning some tasks or whether you're thinking about
the compleion date, you can click on the
calendar view and the open your calendar right
there in the side peak. Again, this is very very useful. Using like the buttons as
the navigation system.
45. NEW: Explore Multi-Action Buttons: Let's now speak a little bit about the multi action buttons. For now, you should know
that the buttons are very, very useful and they are
for simple purposes. However, also for
the complex one. There already in the
previous lectures, we have been talking
a little bit about the multi actions buttons. However, in this video, we'll go more in depth. You should know
that to the button, we can add the step. However there we can
add another steps. There for example, I added
the total list, Hever, there I can go over
with at page two, select our database,
add another one step. So for example,
show conformation, There another one, addit pages, select our database and
addit our property, replace with, and for example, choose something there, and
so on and so on and so on. So we can add a lot
of different steps, and really, they can be
very, very advanced. So one single button
can do at once, a lot of different things. For example, what we can do. We can go over ahead to the plus and there at
a new property, which will be a bottom. And here, also, we
can dit our stuff. Add action. For instance, there, I would like to change
the tack to complete it. I can go over here to the tax. And go over and
click on Complete. There every time when
I click this button, it will change like the
status to complete it. However, I want to create
something more complex. There again, I can go over here, dit property, and now even
add another one step. But before I do this,
I need to create the date and the go
overhead and place it here. Now again, click added property. And now I would like to
set the completion date. So whenever any person
will click on the button, there it will change the tag so the status to complete it. And there's the date to the moment when the person
clicked this one button. So I can click,
add another step. There's the date, and now
set date two and now. And there we have our button
changed, and now look on it. Let's go ahead, change it. And there. Let's say I
completed the task tool, and now I want to set it as completed and set
the specific date. Without a button, I
need to do it manually. Firstly, I click completed, set the date, or even
like the specific time. However, I can do this
with just a single button. There I have the
status completed, the today's date, and the exact hour when the
button was clicked. Nevertheless, even, let's
do something more complex. For example, not
only set the date, set the status, H set the person that clicked
on this one button. Now I can click on it,
click added property, add another step, and the Added
pages, click right there. Set the person there replace
with or whether add, and here, a person
who clicked button. There after I do this, I will just click on the button. It will set up for
me the person. However, something happened
and we don't have the date. Let me go over here.
Added property, and there see what happened. Probably I edited the
step with the date. Again, I can go over here and click on now and see
if that works for now. So yes, it works perfectly. And this is the perfect example, how you can create the multi actions buttons
for various purposes. So, we can see, it's much much easier than just, I would say, providing some
options, manually, some data, and so on and so on. So everything you can do
within the single button, and afterwards, just click only once to do more advanced stuff. So for now this is everything. We covered the multi

46. Share Your Notion Content Easily!: So in this lecture, we are going to talk about how to share our content in the notion
to the external users. So, for example, the friends, whether the workers, or just the bigger
amount of the people. Every time when you
go over to any page in your workspace in
the right top corner, you will see those options. All right, and we've got the one option to share our
content, which is the share. We can click on it, and
now we've got two options. Firstly, let's cover the share. And actually there we can share the content to the people. So we can add the people
by providing the e mail, so I can provide
my other e mail. Which is related to the notion. And basically now
like the notion, we'll search for the e mails which are connected
with the notion. That means the person with this one e mail already has
an account in the notion, for example, now I
can click on it and basically there we've
got different options. Now we can see we've
got the full access. But actually when we go
over and we'll expand it, we've got the options to edit, comment, or weather the view. So basically when you will grant the full access to this person, like this specific person
can do anything at it. All right, so this
person can edit the content or whether share
the content with others. When you will go over
with the edit option, the person can only edit like the page without just sharing this page
to the other users. When you will go over and you
will pick the can comment, basically this person
only can comment and view like the page
without any editing or even sharing this one
specific content to others or even you've got
the option to can view. And basically when
you will use it, this one specific
person can only view the content without editing or whether the sharing afterwards, when you choose the relevant
option to your needs, you can go over and below, add the message to your invital. Right? So whether you
can type something like please look at my project. All right, afterwards
this message will be sent with the entire
invitation by the email. All right, so now I can go
over and press the invite. And basically,
when you will send the invitation to the
specific person afterwards, this one person should receive
this one e mail, right? So take a look at Christian's
page and the comment. So please look at my project and basically there we
can accept the invite. For now, we know
how we can share our content within the
notion by the email, right? So by providing the
notion user's email. And basically when we'll go
over now to the share option, you will see that we have the two persons inside
of this one page, all right, which has
the access to it. So basically me and my
second one account. But there we've got
additional options. So for example, we can
expand this one option. So firstly, we have invite only, so only me and the people
invited can have the access. All right, the second one option is to anyone with a link. So the people invited to
this page and basically the workspace members written by Notion can have the access. So basically it's more
like for the teams because actually when you have a lot of different people and they
like your workspace, then you can go over and basically like share
this one option to them and basically grant them the access to
the specific page. And later we've got everyone and Christians
notion workspace. All right, so all
workspace members can search at and access
to this one page. So actually, as I
thought, it's more useful when you work
with some teams. And basically you have a lot of people inside of your workspace. So basically you can go
over there and for example, pick this one option, copy the link and share
it with multiple people. But basically if you would
like to share your content, your pages, et cetera, with just like single, like the persons, you need to go over and provide the
e mail of this like the person or
whether the persons and actually share your
content by this way. But actually there's
another one way to share the content to the multiple
people or whether some group, et cetera, for example, share the page in the Facebook group or whether
somewhere else as you want. This option is to publish
this specific page. Basically, if you will click
there and you will click Publish there you can see
our web is live on for now. All right, and there
you've got the link. And there you've got a
lot of different options. So for example, the
link expiration. I think this is for the users. Nevertheless, you can
choose there like the time when you want to this
link to expire. All right? So for example, in
a day, in a week. Or whether you can
choose the date there, you can go over and
allow the editing. So whether any
person will go over there like the specific
person can edit the page. Actually, after we've got the
option to allow commenting, basically we'll allow
the persons to comment your content on
the specific page so we can switch it on or
whether switch it off. There is really
important option if you want basically to
share the content, whether allow some persons
to copy your page, you need to click there to
allow duplicate a template. Basically, if you will have
enabled this one option, every person which visits the
page can actually copy it. The last one option is to
search engine indexing. Basically, your page can appear in the Google
search, for example. And now let's go over and
click on the view site. So actually I would like to
duplicate as the template. So allow this one option and basically keep the
rest of them off. And now I can go over
as I told to view site and basically
there you can see how it looks like for the external users that
click in the sling. All right, so they have
the entire database. They can go over to
the right top corner and duplicate this database, for example, to
their own workspace. And basically you can
see like every person which visit this page can see what is
happening right there. And also as I thought, this person can have
different options that differ from the
options that you allowed, like in the settings. All right? And the really
important information is whether when you
share any page, like the entire content on it will be also
shared. All right. So the different view of the databases where they're
specific like the pages, so the person which
actually have the access to the page
can open the sub pages. So for example, those ones with the recipes can do
any stuff with it. All right, so keep it in mind that basically when you
will share some page, every content on it
also will be shared. But what is even interesting, let's take a look on the left
side of the page where I have the initial one
pages for my work space. All right, so not the sub
pages, the initial ones. And basically I shared
the initial one page, so the notion to the
single user of notion. And you can notice that
like this one page appears in the category shared and below we've got
the category private. So these are the pages where I only have
the access to it. And this one page is actually
shared with someone. So this is sometimes
helpful to better organize your pages within the notion
by the different categories.
