It's basically a driving force that plays a role in shaping success and well being in both your personal and professional realms. This session is going to look at the benefits of motivation in both areas. Highlighting how it fosters goal achievement, enhances your performance, promotes growth, and improves overall quality of life. The motivation is the internal or external, or as it's also known, intrinsic or extrinsic force that drives individuals to take action, persist in their efforts and achieve their goals. It's the spark that propels people to do something, whether it's pursuing a career, improving their health, or pursuing personal growth. The motivation could come in various sources such as personal desires, external rewards, or a sense of purpose. Now first let's look at some intrinsic motivation refers to the internal drive that comes from within an individual. It involves pursuing a task or goal because it's inherently rewarding, enjoyable, or aligns with your personal values and interests. Now let's look at extrinsic motivation. This, on the other hand, involves external factors or rewards that drive behavior. These rewards can include praise, money recognition, or avoiding punishment. Even now, let's look at some general benefits. It fosters a positive mindset. Motivation enables individuals to maintain an optimistic outlook even in the face of chal***ges. Continuous learning motivated individuals are more open to learning and adapting. They seek out new knowledge and experiences, leading to personal development and broader perspectives. Now let's look at benefits in your personal life. Motivation fuels the pursuit of personal goals. Whether it's pursuing a healthier lifestyle, learning a new skill, or traveling to new places. In a professional life, motivated employees are more engaged and productive. They approach their tasks with enthusiasm and dedication, leading to improved job performance and the achievement of organizational objectives. When individuals are motivated, they are more likely to contribute positively to group dynamics, share ideas, and work harmoniously with colleagues. Now let's look at how you get motivated. First off, something simple called finding your why. This is a phrase that's often associated with understanding your deeper purpose on motivation in life. It's about identifying the core reasons behind your actions, your decisions, and goals. Let's look deeper into this concept, clarifying your purpose. Why is your reason for doing what you do? It goes beyond the surface level goals and tasks and delves into the fundamental purpose that drives your actions. It's about asking yourself why something is meaningful to you. Discovering your Y can be a powerful source of motivation. When you know why you're pursuing a particular goal or dream, it becomes easier to stay committed and to persevere. Even when faced with chal***ges. Your Y can also help you align your actions with your values and beliefs. When your goals and actions are in harmony with your core values, you're more likely to experience a sense of fulfilment and authenticity. And finding your Y can provide clarity in decision making. It helps you filter out distractions and make choices that are in line with your overarching purpose. Understanding your Y can help you become more resilient in the face of setbacks when you encounter obstacles. Your sense of purpose can help you bounce back and continue pursuing your goals. And your why can often connect to your passions. When you're passionate about what you're doing, you're more likely to be engaged and enthusiastic about your work and pursuits. So how do you find your Y? Finding your why is a personal and introspective process. We'll look at some steps now to help you discover it. One of these is self reflection. Spending time reflecting on your life, your experiences, and the things that bring you joy and satisfaction. What activities make you feel alive? What issues or causes deeply resonate with you? Ask why repeatedly. When you identify a goal or desire, ask yourself why multiple times. For example, if you want to change careers, ask why you want to do that, and then ask why. Again, to dig deeper into the underlying motivations, seek inspiration, read books, listen to talks, or connect with people who found their why their journeys may inspire you and provide into your own purpose. Do a values assessment. Consider what values are most important to you. Your Y is often closely tied to your core values and experiment. Don't be afraid to try new things and fail exploring different paths. Sometimes your why becomes clearer through actions and experience. And listen to your gut as well. Pay attention to your intuition and inner voice. Sometimes your Y is a subtle feeling that gives you a particular direction and write it down. Putting your thoughts on paper can help you clarify and solidify your Y. Keep a journal to document your reflections and insights. Remember that your Y can evolve over time as you grow and change. It's not a static point, but it's a guiding principle that can lead you to a more purposeful and meaningful life. Now let's look at something simple, like creating a motivating environment. Say for example, your workspace. A clutter free and organized workspace reduces distractions and promotes a sense of order. It's easier to concentrate and stay motivated in a tidy environment. Ensure your workspace is comfortable with an ergonomic chair. Proper lighting and good ventilation, physical discomfort can distract from your motivation. Also think about visual inspiration. Surround yourself with items that inspire you, such as motivational quotes, pictures of loved ones, or remind us of your goals. These visuals can boost your spirits and motivation. Maybe create a vision board with your images and words representing what your aspirations actually are. Display it where you can see it daily to reinforce your motivation. Now let's look at things like task organization, used to do lists, or task management apps to prioritize and organize your work. Crossing off completed tasks provides a sense of accomplishment, motivating you to tackle more. Monitor your progress towards your goals.
