1. Introduction To Lettering On Leather: Welcome to the plants where I'll be taking you dear. Process off how to drink calligraphy and lettering on left. You can call me joy and I'm here to take it to your specific paths off the press, play and display process So you're able to select the right kind of truth and supplies and being able to infuse the calligraphy effectively on you can use these s GIF for yourself or pats off your business often there No prerequisites for this class. But I do use appointed end. That's great if you're already familiar with it. But if not, you can always use your own style lettering. I'm joined me. I cannot wait to see insight. 2. A Note On Our Lettering On Calligraphy Project: So I just meet this wallet and it's made out better. So this is a cardholder com bullet and holding it like this only because I haven't put in a riff it yet. And so I need to put my fingers here so that the, um, cardholders stays in place. So the idea is that this flat goes underneath this piece and this is the last piece. So I was thinking that I would like to do some calligraphy on this piece. So let's get fatter and how to do calligraphy on leather because my reports are gold and gonna use a Goal Inc. And as you can see, my ink of choice is going to be Dr Beach moderns evidence and think so. I need to shake it. As you can see, it's not yet well mixed, so it can turn it a couple of times until you're quite happy with the even distribution. I do have to tell you something before we thought writing on this, you usually for Ph Mountains in you can take it off with rubbing alcohol, but not bring your writing on leather because leather is porous. I want to show you an example that I have tried. So I have a couple off scrap pieces when I was creating the same piece of leather, So I was trying out different things on a scrap piece of paper. So you can see that this is actually the beach mountains, every descent pink. And that's the one that I will show you how to use. I've also tried to use other thinks I can't take them off, but it also results in really discoloration off the letter once you tried to have the solvent to take it off. So I recommend that, you know, if you're writing on leather, just bear in mind that unlike a gate, glass and tile, you cannot take the ink off. Okay, so you might want a pissed ah, few times on script for your body to write your final piece. 3. Play: Using a Pointed Pen Nib For Lettering On Leather : once you think that you have shaken your bottle enough and that the paint is even the mixed , then you can get ready your brush your pendant in a pen holder and I have a small container that always use. So what I'm gonna do is I'm going to drop a few drops off the ink. Enough for me to finish writing on this small piece off leather. Okay, The conveniently it comes with this, uh, I drop. Okay, you gotta put this bottle out of the frame so I don't accidentally knock it over. Then what you're gonna do is you're gonna take your pin and you got a coat. The back off. You're in it, like though once you're ready to write, put the letter in a position where it's easy for you. I'm gonna write the word abundant concentrate on getting the first stroke. Are the first start Off Inc. It's a little bit more difficult to do the up strokes, but just be patient. Have you on the down? Stroke was put more pressure. So just a tip. If you are writing on something like leather when you're doing the up strokes, you just it is just skipping, just skimming the surface off the letter. But when you're doing down straight, you can put greater pressure. He could see that the ink is quite cooperative. Excuse me and going really slowly, but it doesn't mean that it is difficult to write instead of me scared of it. It just gets a little bit challenging, especially on the up strolls. But on the down strokes, it is actually very smooth to write on. So you're gonna have fun writing on leather and look at the goal. I really love how brilliant it is. - I don't have the rivets in yet, but check out the ink. Lovely gold. 4. Play: Using Pen Marker For Lettering On Leather : I've tried working with many pens, and the one that I like the most is the Moloto quick room because the ink pops out so well against the letter. Okay, so I'm gonna turn, doesn't do a book, Mock. And I've already made a hole here. I'm gonna put Silver String and Elsie, I'll show you what it looks like later. But first I'm gonna right. Okay. I read a lot, and I think that for me, sometimes I need to take action. So to remind myself, I'm just gonna put down take inspired action. Remember to shake your pen before using it. Okay, My in. So this is gonna be the monoline style where again, all the weights are equal. You don't have fixing things, okay? And so now that I know how to center it, I'm just gonna put the first would take. You can already see how brilliantly the liquid chrome appears against the leather. Just going to give a bit of movement. Diego 5. Your Class Project And Thank You: great to see you again. How was it?
