1. Introduction Made with Clipchamp: Hello, and welcome. I'm Rodema and I'm
absolutely thrilled to join you on this
exciting creative journey. Personally, over the
past couple of years, I have ded into various
productivity approaches. Always striving to find the one that's that not
only brings me joy, but it is also simple
and sustainable. Now, if you're
someone who shares genuine joy in productivity or simply finds
yourself curious, then you are at the right place. If this happens to be
your first venture into the vision
boarding exercise, then no need to fret. In this class, we just don't cover what's
vision boarding, but we start from
inspiration into defining your goals
in this class. I will guide you through a
set of reflective exercises, identify your key
interest areas, and then bring in real life with the help
of the vision board. If you're new to Zena,
let me tell you, it's an incredible
digital journaling tool available on Mac,
iPhone and iPad. You can check out
Zenia basics class the link to which I'll
add in the description. This powerful tool not
only sparks creativity, but it also elevates
your productivity. Now, for the project,
in this session, we will be crafting your
very own vision board to set your intentions and take you one step closer to
your dream life. But that's not all. Okay. I will also walk you through a real time review of my
vision board from this year, illustrating how I actively
use it on the day to day basis and also for a review
purpose on a periodic basis. Buckle up, and let's explore
together on how to leverage the incredible power
of digital joling to manifest your dreams
and achieve your goals. Get ready to make your
aspirations come to life, and I'll see you again
in the next class.
2. Why Digital Vision Board ?: Hey, there. Life is
a roller coaster, full of highs and lows. But you know what keeps me going even when I'm not
the most motivated. Well, I should say
that's my vision board. For me, vision boarding is like a superhero for
my mental anxiety. It helps me figure out
what I want to achieve, how I'm going to get there
and by. Here's the cool. It's not just on
your thing for me. No. I'm all about doing it as a regular
reflection exercise. And I do it whenever
I feel like it and whenever I'm agitated,
but for a start, I would recommend that you do
it at least once a quarter, and then adapt it to your base. Now, you might be wondering what sets a vision board apart from a collage
of pretty pictures. Well, I'm about to show you the magic behind
creating mine. When you consciously put
down your thoughts and go all in with the y analysis, it becomes like this
roadmap to your dreams. It's like a constant body reminding you of what
you're hustling for. You can always choose
to do it on paper. Why go digital? You ask. Well, the digital world gives
you this crazy flexibility. With Zenia, you can
track your progress, tweak your goals and see your dreams unfold
in the real time. Here's the cherry on the top. Zenias got this that keeps updating their
studio collection. So if you're like me
and get boards easily, Zenia knows how to keep
the excitement alive. Ready to make your dreams
pop out. Let's get started. Okay.
3. Identifying Goals with Clarity: Now, whether you are a
seasoned cool setter or just starting out. Let's focus on clarity first. If you're here to craft
your vision board, chances are that you
already know and have some of your dreams in your mind for the upcoming
year or the month. But if you're new to
this, then don't worry. I've got you covered with a handy reflection exercise
in the Zena book format. It has been tried and tested, let me show you how to
get it up and running. Now, I've uploaded a PDF copy of my thinking template in the resources section of this class. As you can see, on
my senior home page, there is already a book that I have used for my reflection. But in order to show you
how you can import a PDF, You can select a plus icon on the top right corner
of the home page, and it will give
you three options. One of them will be
import P and then choose our downloaded
PDO version. As soon as you open it up,
this is what you'll see. As you can see, there are four
sections to this journal. The first part of it is reflect. The second would be
finding your north star. Then we get into
much more detail where we define these scales, and then the fourth section will be more about
periodic check in. Let us take a step back and see what the journal looks like. Now, I've tried to visually differentiate each
of these sections. But as you can see, if we start with
the first portion, it would be giving
you a couple of inspiration on
reflection exercises. Now, if you have an idea of what your goals and ambitions
are for next year, you can skip this portion. But otherwise, I
would really request you to take some time into
this reflecting exercise. The idea of this
exercise is that you start at a very high
level into thinking, what is it that you
value the most. Just be true to yourself and put down all the thoughts
that you see here. For me, for example, the core values
to me is reading. It gives me really
good amount of joy. I also find happiness in being engaged in different kind of activities and
exploring stuff. The third one for me will be being close to my
friends and family. Let's say, these are the
three core values that I have for me and then you can do your
reflection as well. Another way to
look at it is that we deep dive into
last 12 months. A couple of suggestions here can be if you don't remember
what you've done, of course, it's a
pretty long period. Then I would recommend you can also take a look at
your work calendar and then just skim through
on higher level of the major events or
decisions and achievements, or in my case, I look at
the Google Photos preview. It's a very good
collection of things that you've taken and more
of a visual person, so that really works
out well for me. Next, would be really thinking through while you do the
previous exercise is to also come up with what are the challenges you've
overcome and that will give you some sense
of achievement and being happy where you are, in a way is also how can we say it is also motivating us to continue with this exercise
of growth and fulfillment. Once you do that, I think what really works well for me is to figure out your
own success Pm. What this means is that
All the good things, or the achievements that you've
been through in the past. Inherently, it works through a cycle of similar steps
that works well for. I can say that I'm proud of actually working out and being
fit in the past 12 months. I believe this happened because I have been
consistent in this journey. I have been able to
devote at leastthree days a week where I'm focused towards my mental and
physical well being. My approach to it was that
I am planned or I have been in regular review
with my fitness export. That is one way of
going through it. If you have similar
goals about being proud about some of
your work success or your postal success, go ahead and put them
up on this page. You can also select
the three dots at the top right corner and duplicate this page if you
have more to give an example. Once you do that, I think you
will be able to find two, three of these where there is a pattern
that comes across. That's just more of a
reflection exercise that if you follow this pattern, one, it is something that you
find your happiness with. It's okay for you to continue
and it's no unsstainable. Maybe it's also a good
idea to use some of these in the future goal and vision achievement
exercises. Once you do that,
I would like to think I would like you to reflect in a slightly
different manner. Now imagine that you have
nothing to lose in the world. Then what is it that
you'd like to achieve? If you have all the
resources of time, money, freedom, et cetera, then what do you want to be
what does day look like, and then you can put down
from morning to evening or you can just imagine a
situation where you are in. At this stage, you have
had a good amount of reflection where it
would be a good idea for you to pause a good criteria
for you to evaluate is that which of these activities
you really enjoy doing. I call it energy providers. There are some activities
which you have to do, but they're more like
energy trainers. In my case, Talking to a lot of people in a day also
drains me to a bit. I ensure that I give time
to the people I love, but I don't overbook myself
with a lot of meetings. Now that you know a
little bit more about yourself through these
reflection exercises, it's time to put down
your goals on the paper. It is this goal setting
section that there are some prompts that I would
like you to reflect upon. I will also do it with you, but I'll speed up this video for this part of the section. Feel free to pause and reflect and put down
your thoughts and then come back when you're ready with some
of these answers. Now, through this exercise, you have tried to
consolidate your ideas into the goals irrespective of when you want to
achieve in life. But the reason of this entire exercise is to
ensure that we have a vision board for the
next 12 months and that's where this exercise
is super helpful. Because what I'm
going to do next is right next to
each of these goals. I'm going to put down a number, which will be one, three, five or ten, indicating when I would like
to achieve these goals. To take some of the pressure off from my ambitions and not trying
everything in one go, but also trying to be realistic in terms of which of these goals is what I would like to achieve in the next coming one year. I highly recommend dedicating a couple of hours
to this exercise. It's important to delve deep and uncover the values
that truly drive you. By the end of it,
you'll emerge with three to five simple yet powerful goals
for the year ahead. Keep them straightforward
and easy to remember so that they stay close to your heart and guide you
through this journey. Let's embark on this
introspective journey together and uncover the
dreams that resonate with you.
4. Elaborating on your aspirations: Welcome back. I'm sure
you've had lots of fun while discovering yourself and framing the goals you would like
to achieve. Believe me. It gets easier from here. Once you've identified
your goals, it's time to breathe
some life into them. Now, it's one thing
to have a goal, but a whole another thing to get the goals into your system, and that's what we
do by articulating the why and when for
each of these goals. In this part of the class, where we're elaborating
on your aspirations, by thinking of how you
want to achieve them. We will transform
these abstract dreams into concrete realities. For each of these goals that you have identified in
your previous page, the ones that are specifically marked for one to
three year time frame. I would like you to pick
three and at most of five. For each of them,
there is an empty page on this PDF where
you can fill it in. I would recommend
you to start with defining what you want to do. For example, in my first goal, I want to be fit and healthy. What I want to achieve is actually be ready
to run a marathon. Now the reason that
this is important to me is that it helps me keep
my body and mind in check. It eventually helps me be happy and engaged
with my family, ensuring that I
have energy levels that are high and positive. In terms of milestone, I would like to be fit and healthy by let's say
six months from now. This is more like
driving an idea, which is being fit and
healthy and coming up with more concrete plans of and
how I want to reach there. I would speed up the
rest of the video where I'm trying to fill my
ideas onto the page, and I would encourage
you to do the same along with me
for your goals.
5. Visualisation of your dream in detail: Welcome to the class five. In this one, we're going to make your goals come to life
with the help of Zenia. We're going to visualize
your dreams into details and put some
pictures and thoughts on it. It is super important for you to gather your sources
of inspiration. All the photos codes, illustrations or anything
that inspires you to drive your goal that
speaks to your soul. You will curate these
visuals with care, ensuring that each element
resonates with your vision. Remember, your vision board
is more than just images. It's a reflection of your deepest desires and aspirations. There are two ways
to go about it. First, we will find the words that resound with
you and inspire you. You can also use the Zena Studio to give you some quotes
that resonate with you. The second step to this process will be putting all
of this together. Most important part of
this exercise is to ensure that you put down the specifics on
your vision board. Not just images, but put down if you are focused into
being healthy in terms of, let's say I'm going to
run a marathon this year, and one of the ways of
how I'm achieving this is going to be 10,000 steps that
I have to walk each day. Then I will ensure that
I put down the 10,000 steps onto my vision board because that makes it
much more specific. I'm going to speed
up some part of the speedo as to show
you how I go ahead about creating my vision board and feel free to
do the same for s.
6. Review and Reflection: Hello, and welcome back. This class is an optional
exercise for you. But it's my way of sharing
with you of how I use this vision board more as an
active reflective exercise. As I said in the beginning, I try to create vision board in a digital platform because it's easier to
update on the goal. We as humans have changing
requirements and ambitions. As a result, it's
super efficient to use Zena to create a
vision board for you. Creating a vision board
is just the beginning. With eniors review features, we'll establish a routine for your regular reflection
and adjustment. Whether it's a
monthly or quarterly. These review sessions will keep you on track and
aligned on the goals. Ensuring there's a steady
progress towards your dreams. Now let me show you how I am going to do my
reflection exercise. We will discuss at
the end of this class of what I had at
the beginning of my review and what is
going to be at the end of my review session for my goals. Now, that's the end of my
vision boarding review. I have just provided an
example for two of my goals, one being on fitness and
second being on relationships. As you could see, I have made slight changes in terms of
ensuring that my goals are achievable and it doesn't
a while I'm going to t. Think of this exercise as
more like a long term goal. So even if you
improve yourself by small margins every day without
stressing yourself a lot, that would be a step in
the right direction. Once I usually review
these activities, I take a look again at my vision board, and
as you could see, This one this is now updated
as for my latest review, and then I make changes
either to what I want to achieve or how I want to achieve it or by when do I
want to achieve it? That's how this
tool becomes super helpful on the goal
for making edits, ensuring that I keep alive, and then that I have various versions to
it so that I can take a look at it more from
a reflection when I'm doing this planning
exercise next year. That would be my end
to sharing how I use my vision board and review
on a regular basis. I will include these as assembled templates at the end of the PDF that I
attached for this class, more to be used as a
reflection exercises. That would be it, and
then I'll see you again for the conclusion
for this class.
