1. INTRO: Hello there. I'm Carolina, a passionate photographer living and working in Paris. I specialize in fashion and beauty photography and have been in the business for the last 13 years. I'm free to share my knowledge and experience with you. So in this class, we will dive into the world of beauty Reta. Here's a snack peek into what we will be exploring. So you ask yourself why you should take this class. Oh. 2. LESSON 1 - THE basics- New Layer and Healing brush tool: Welcome to Lesson number one. Today, we'll start our journey with fundamental steps of beauty taging. I will guide you through my process using a photo from a recent beauty shoot. Even fault, our model skin is nearly perfect. We'll tackle pesky imperfection like dust, like straight hair, maybe some pin polls by using the healing brush tool. So let's zoom in and watch the magic unfold. First, we create a new layer and then meticulously clean up the image. Here you can see the before and after. Task for this lesson. Choose one of your portraits or beauty shots. Create a new layer and clean up any imperfection you find. Share your results with the class. If you have any question, don't hesitate to ask. 3. LESSON 2 - Dodge and Burn technique: Okay. Now let's move on to Dutch and burn. I love this technique, but sometimes it can be a bit time consuming. But it's the best way to refine skin without losing texture. So you may ask, what is Dot and burn? It comes actually from traditional dro technique. You retouch the skin but making dark areas brighter and bright areas darker, and how do we do it? So start by creating two curves layers, one lighter, and one darker. Then do it twice for global Dogen burn and another macrodogen burn. And use helper layers like a black and white layer to see skin problems more clearly. Then prepare action for all these steps. Be thanks to this, you speed up your warm flow. And what is very important, it's the brush setting. Hardness, very low, opacity 100, and flow, I would say one to three maximum 5%. So let's start with global to generally clean the skin. Then move to macro burn for finer details. I go here quick, but you can see a What And now you can see before and out. Okay, so tips, zoom in and out to check your work all the time. And remember, practice makes it perfect. So task for this lesson. Apply these techniques to your photo and share with the class. Do you like this process? Does it feel too long? Share your thoughts with us. D. 4. LESSON 3 - enhancing eyes, teeth and other details: Okay, so for these lessons, I will use another photo to show you some more techniques. For the yes, what I like to use, it's so Dog and burn, which I apply to ye to make them clearer inside and the lashes and browse or makeup slightly darker. But be careful not to overdo it. Opacity will be your best friend. For the teeth, I use the hue saturation adjustment to brighten and the saturate the yellow. And also use the mask to apply this selectively to teeth and remember opacity, again, your best friend. For crispiness, I like to do it at the end. I duplicate the layer. I go to the filter or high pass. I adjust the details, then set the blending mode to soft light. If it's too strong, again, do it with. And here you need to use the mask. You cannot just put it for everything. It doesn't look good. So task for this lesson. Apply these effects and share your final resort with the class. Your photos are now ready for next part, color grating, which I will try to do the class in the future. 5. CONCLUSSION: So there you have it, a comprehensive journey through the art of beauty retouching. Remember, perfection comes with practice. So don't hesitate to revisit this lesson and refine your skills. I'm eager to see your final result, so be sure to share your masterpieces with me and your fellow classmate. And don't forget if you have any questions. I'm here for you. So until next time, keep shining bright and embracing the beauty in every frame. Thank you for watching my lessons.
