1. Intro: Welcome to today's class. I'm excited to have you here as you dive into another interesting topic in photoshop. Today, we will focus on learning how to make light glow, a technique that can really bring your images to life. But that's not all. We will also explore different methods to enhance the overall look of your pictures. Adding that professional touch that makes a big difference. Whether you are working on a photo or a creative design, this technique will help you achieve a stunning final result. So let's jump right in and get started with the class. 2. creating new project: Before starting the class, I want to mention that today we will working on two projects using the Glow light effect. That means we will apply the light glow effect on two images, which will make it easier for all of you to learn. We will proceed one by one. First, we will open photoshop. So our photoshop is loading now, and it might take a little time. So let's wait. Finally, our photo shop has successfully opened. You can see two options on top left side. New file and open, so we need to click on new file. As you can see, after clicking new file, a new page has opened. And here, the first thing we will do is select the sige of our Canvas. Normally, there are many different siges on here, but we will click on the first custom Sige option. On the side, you can also see that we can manually change the Canvas site, such as the width height resolution extra. But for now without changing anything, we will directly click on Create. So Project has been successfully created, and a white Canvas has opened up. As you can see on the left side, we have the tool panel, which contains all types of tools. These tools are used in different places for different purposes, and we use them according to our needs. On the right bottom side, we have the layers panel, which is the most important for us. We will be using this panel for many things, such as applying the glow effect, adjusting brightness, and more. 3. Applying Glow Light Effect on 1st image: So first of all, we will need an image, where we will apply the glob light effect. For that, we will click on file at the top left, where we will find many options. From there, we will click on Open and then select and open our image. Finally, our image has opened. Normally, for glow effect, we might use the brush tool, pick up a color from the color picker and try to give a glow light effect. But this is not a professional method. Moreover, the glow effect created this way won't have a realistic feel. So this method is completely incorrect. To professionally apply a globe light effect. We will first select the polygonal lasso tool from the tool section. The polygonal lasso tool is used to create selections, especially when you need to select areas with straight lines and angular edges. This tool allows you to manually create a selection point by point by clicking a joining points according to the shape. It's particularly helpful when you need to select areas with regular sap like rectangle triangles or any objects with sarp edges. Now we will select the glass area of the light, and we need to do this very carefully, ensuring that each corner is selected accurately. If we need to select more than one area, we can press the shift key. Finally, we have successfully selected the glass shaped area. Next, we will select the move tool from the top, and then in the layers panel, we will create a new group. So our group has been successfully created. After that, we will click on Ad layer mask. Then we will click on Create New Fill or Adjustment Layer. And from there we will select exposure. This will create a new exposure layer. And here we will see many options, but we only need to set exposure value. We will set the exposure value to three. But you can adjust it as needed. Next, we will click on create new fill and Adjustment layer, and this time we will select solid color. A color picker tab will open. And from here, we need to select the color of the light. We will select a dark orange color here, and then we will click on. As you can see, our selected area has now turned orange. After that, we will go to the bland opson. Basically, blend opsons or bland modes in photoshop control how layer interact with each other. These allow you to decide how one layer blends with another. For example, multiply is used to darken. Screen is used to lighten and overlay used to increase contrast. Each mode has its own unique effect, combining colors and texture in different ways to help you create creative effect. Here, we will click on color. Then we will click on Create New fiel or adjustment layer again, select solid color, and choose the orange color, just like I'm doing. After that, click on. But this time we will set the blend mode to overlay, and reduce the opacity to 70%. Next, we need to create a new layer and set its blend mode from normal to overlay. After that, we will select the brush tool and use the color picker to choose a light orange color. Then click. We will then tap on the light areas with the brush just as I'm doing. If the light appears to bright due to high exposure value, we will reduce the exposure value to make it look more realistic. Now we will select the newly created layer, choose the breast tool, and use the light orange color to give a realistic touch to the light as I'm doing. We will then create another new layer and repeat the same process. Applying the light orange color to an ace the realistic effect on the light. Finally, our light glow effect is complete, and you can see the difference between the before and after images. We will now export the image. So the glow light effect is complete on one image, and we will quickly complete the second image to make learning easier for you. 4. Applying Glow Light Effect on 2nd image: Let's start with the second image. First, we will open this new image. We will use the polygonal lasso tool to select the side part of this image. Great. The side part is well selected. Then we will click on the move tool and create a new group from the layer seen. Perfect. Next, click on ad vector mask. Then we will create new fill or adjustment layer. Select exposure and set the exposure value to 1.9. After that, click on create new fill or adjustment layer again, and select solid color to choose an orange color. The blend mode of these layers should be set from normal two color. Then create another new layer, select the overlay blend mode, and choose the brush tool. Pick a light orange color and gently brush the straight lights to apply a subtle touch just like I'm doing. Next, create another new layer and repeat the same process. Great. As you can see the glow effect is complete on our light. Here are some examples of glow effect you can try. As I applied the glow effect to the straight light, it may seem like a small step. But these small details greatly improve your skills in photoshop. Paying attention to these details make you better designer. Practicing such effect and technique is essential because these small touches create a big difference. Keep experimenting with these small techniques in your photoshop journey as they will bring you closer to perfection. Thanks for watching. It has been an amazing journey with you. It was great to see you learning. We will continue to work on creative projects together. See you soon in our next class and keep practicing.
