And let's show you how to create your first viral short video today. 2. Researching Viral Topics (lesson 1): Welcome to the first lesson of this viral short form content creation master class. In this lesson, I'm going to be showing you how you can research trending and viral topics for your videos in order to make them have high engagement. I'm going to show you four different tools or sites that you can use to do your research accurately. The first tool that I'm going to be using here today is Google Trends. All you need to do is to head over to your browser and in the search bar, you type trends you type trends.google.com. Okay? So once you type this, you make sure your Google account is signed in and then you just press Enter. Okay? So once you do that, you're going to see this page, this page like this. So the tab that we are more interested in is this trending now tab. This trending now tab. What we're going to do is just tap on this trending now tab here it's going to show us all the trends, all the trends you can see. You can see the different filters, the country the time. You can see it set to the past ten 4 hours, the categories, the trends, and the relevance. So depending on the country or the audience that you are targeting with your videos, you are going to be selecting the country here. So here, I'm going to just put I will just put the United States because I want to target people living in the United States here. So I'm going to type this and then just select this. Okay? So once you select this, you can select all regions, or you can select any country. Let me show you again. You can select any states rather in the United States. You can see all these regions here or you can just leave it in all regions. Once you leave it here, you see the different searches that are trained in right now. If you have a particular niche that you actually create your content for this is where you are going to select it. You can see different niches here. Technology, beauty and fashion transportation. But if you don't really have a niche, you're still trying to find your niche or you are just more focused on creating a viral short of just different viral shorts videos, then you can leave it in all categories. But if you want to niche down to something like business and fashion or entertainment, you can just select it, and then you will see different you'll see different trends here, right? So for the time here, I actually suggest the past 4 hours. So if you select these past 4 hours, as long as their search is here, then you will get more accurate or more relevant results. So once you select this, you can see you can see the trends search volume 20 k plus started 2 hours ago, and you can see the tags, the different tags, you can see. So if you scroll down, you can just pick a topic here. You pick a topic here. If you want to do a video on the Billboard Music Awards 2024, you pick this there and then we're going to use it to create your video, to create the video scripts in the next lesson. Google Trends is my go to site because I can get a lot of information from the sites, a lot of trending topics, including the tags. You can see it here. You can check this trend breakdown section for it. Once you get here, once you are here, what you want to do now is to change this birelevance to surge volume, Sarge volume. So once it changes to sage volume, it's going to arrange it in descending order of sage volume. That means the most searched them or the most searched topic is going to be at the top, as you can see, 50 20, 2010 k5k, five k. So you can now choose to pick the top topic here or you can pick the second to the top one or the third one and then make a video on it. All right. So that's it for these trends, you can see, you can tap on this, you can toggle this show active trends the show active trends, you can toggle it on it to show you the topics that are currently trend in right now. You can see everything is active ax Acxive active. You can see active active, okay? So by toggling this on, you get even better topics that you can use, you know, for your shots from content. So basically, for these Google Trends, all I've said now is, first of all, you can choose your location, the location of your audience, and for the time, you can reduce it to 4 hours. This will show you the recent trends, the most recent trends. You can put this in 4 hours. And for the categories, if you don't have a specific niche that you want your video to be in, you can leave it in all categories. But if you have a niche, then you pick any niche that is any topic here that is relevant to your niche. And for this section here, the trend status, turn on these active trends only. So it will give you trends that are currently active. And for this one, for the last filter, change it to search volume so that it will arrange it and put the trendiest topic at the top for you, right? So that's it for Google Trends. All right, so let's assume you want a video of someone exclaiming or a surprise face video.'s just search surprised, surprised face. So price face, let's see Mm. You can see this. You can see different videos that you can easily just get and download. If you're using the shots video, you can see this one, you can see this, you can see this one, you can see this. All right, so when you are searching for stock videos to use in your shorts video, you should change this to shots. Because your shots video typically should be in the 916 ratio aspects ratio and that's basically YouTube shots, you want stock footage that would fill the screen, the entire screen. Hope you understand what I mean. Like this one now, this surprise me if you use it in your shorts video to feel the whole screen, the whole phone screen. If you change it to shorts, you will see stock videos like this one. It's the same thing when you search for other things like how moving upward. So once you search this, you will see different images that you can download and use for your video. If you also come to this video tab, this video tab, you would actually get most of it just tutorios but you get the point. If I add stock video here, stock video, I see. If you add stock video to give it obviously results that are related to what you search. So if I click this now, I'm not sure if this is on YouTube. I'm not sure if this is on YouTube. Okay, it is on YouTube. You know, it's the same process to download it. You simply click on this tap Share, and then you copy the link with Control C, o, and you download it. And if you find a video that is embedded on different sites, maybe not YouTube, I'm looking for. So everything here is just YouTube YouTube YouTube YouTube, YouTube. But you see, this one is from Pexels. Basically, this search engine is searching different sites, not just searching on one site, searching different sites for you for what you want. And you can do this if you wants a broader search. You just don't want to just search one site and then go and search another site. If you just want to search everything at the same time, you can just search Google and you will find what you want. So now that I've shown you these three sites, I want to go ahead and download the videos, the video clips that I'm going to use for this particular video that I'm editing. So this is what I'm going to do. Basically, I can go ahead to my script now, copy this again, then go back to Microsoft's co Piload and here, here, okay. I'll still in this chart. We do have Cap code, and Capcde is basically the software that we will be using to create the shows for you. So in this listen I'm going to show you how you can download Capcde, how you can install Capcde on your PC and import your resources also. So if you're using a PC, all you need to do is to come to your Microsoft's app store. This is the icon here, or you can simply just search app store. Once you search App Store, you see this Microsoft store, and if I open it, this is the interface. All I need to do is to search cap codes. Waiting for you to load. Great. So if I just search cap codes here and go, you can see the app here here if I tap on it, it's going to open and installed already. I already have it on my PC. So this is basically all you need to do is if you've not installed, this is not going to show installed like this, you're going to see an install button. All you need to do is just click Install and finish it up. It's as simple as that. I don't want to install my cap codes because I still have some projects there. I have some projects I'm not done editing yet. And yeah, it's very it's a straightforward process. I don't think this one works particularly for YouTube, okay? So I think YouTube's copyright, YouTube and TikTok's copyright detection system are quite different. So if you want to be sure if a video will work on YouTube, basically, you need to upload it. You need to upload it to you save it as private. And then, you know, when you're uploading this, it's going to check for copyright. It's going to let you know. That's basically it for this audio panel. Here, you can see this effect section. Here we have video effects that you can add. S video effect. Let me add this one here. So what this one does is just reduce the quality of the playback here of the player, the video play in the player so that you can edit faster without lagging. Okay? So let me move the body effect now. I've already shown you what it does. So there are different transitions, and I'm going to be using some of them during this video. I'm going to be using some of them for this video that I'm editing. So that's basically what this transition does. You can call me and check mode. Different good transitions that you can use in your video. You can see light effects. So in your free time, just play around, okay? Just explore this transition speed, okay? I can't be showing you each and every one of them now because of time. So let's move on to the captions part here. So if I tap on caption, you see that we have the option to add auto caption. We have templates here, we have caption templates here. You can see. You can choose any template, and your caption will become like that. All right. So this one saves time, especially if you're editing plenty videos, different shots videos, you know, for a client or for your own social media. See these auto lyrics. This one is helpful if you're creating a music video and you want it to generate automatically generates lyrics for your music video. You can see these add captions too. If you have your captions file, you can easily just add this here boats we barely use this. I don't use the Sato. There's no need for that because we already have auto captions and we can easily generate our captions right here on cap codes. Let's move on to the filters parts. This filter section is self explanatory. If you've ever used Snapchats, then you know what filters are. Not just Snapchats, even in Instagram, so there are different filters that you can add to your video. Let me add this one here. And you'll see what happens. In investments in service quality, existing subscribers will pay the. You can see that changed the color. If I show you the other part of the video, you can see that the color is different. But here we the few ties. You can see that the colo changes. This one is useful if you want to add a specific effects to your video or even an image that is in your video timeline here. So when you're editing on CAP codes, there are different features that you can use, and you are short codes for them. If you come here now, you can see that we have this Sedex we have different modes here that you can choose. You can choose the Sedex splits, select left word, select right word. It's okay to just leave it in sleet. The rest are not necessary at all. You can see here, we have Odo which is Control C. And here we have redo which is Control Shift Z. Here we have split. Here we have delete left, and we have delete right. So this split is really useful, okay? It's probably the most useful feature here. Apart from this on do. So let's say I want to call this video clip here into two. I can simply just tap on it and then put this, playhead. I put it this way I want to cut it and then tap on split. So once I tap on split, you can see that I split it into two parts. Right where I put the playhead. Also, if you have this preview axis turned on, if I tap on this preview axis now, you see that there was something a yellow line. Let me show you again. See this yellow line that you can use to preview the video. You can use it to preview the video. Just drag it around and you can see different parts of the video. Also, if I put this preview axis here on this clip, and I tap on split, the shows calls for split. You see that? Let me tap on it. Sorry. Let me tap on it and just hover it over there and just tap on split. You see that it splits the video here, you can also use it instead of this playhead. You can use it instead of displaya as long as it's turned on. Now that we know how to use this split, let's go to this section here. So this icon here is for voiceover, right? So if you want to add the voiceover to the video you're creating, you can easily just tap on it and you can start recording. This one here, this tunnel main track magnets, basically, let me show you now. Once you open your cap codes for the foster, you see only one track, and that is your main track. You can easily identify it by, you know, it's the only one that has this cover in front of it here. That is your main track. And once you turn this on, everything in your main track will begin to touch each other. So if you drag any video to your main track, even if you put it here, it's going to drag it, you know, it's going to be like a magnet, so everything is going to be joined to each other. This is particularly useful if you are, like, cutting out, if you want to cut out a section and you don't want to stretch yourself, you know, just dragging and of. Let me see if I want to just cut out. Let me see I want to cut out just 3 seconds out of this video clip, and I just, you know, split this part. Split this part, and then I tap on the middle part and I just delete it. You can see that it's immediately just drag the other one so starts where the former clip stopped. Let me show you. If this thing is turned off. If I did this, this one now, like I said, I does no good here, I have to manually drag it and put it set it here. So that's when this one is useful. But in this situation, I actually don't need it to be turned on because as you can see here as you can see, I have some spaces here that I need to fill up its bills and I don't want it to close up. So I'm not going to turn it on. Now, for this autosnaping, make sure it's turned on, okay? It's very, very useful so that you can easily just, um drag a video clip and it will snap to the one that is before it. So you can see, when I drag this video close to this other one, this other clip here, I can easily just move it around. There's no specific point for me to put it in. But if I want this video to start exactly where this last clip ended, it hard. It might be difficult for me to do that if I don't have this auto snapping turned on. So if I have this auto snapping feature turned on, if I drag this one here, if I drag it close to this video, you see this blue line this blue or green line that just comes out there. It's basically means that this video is already touching the end, the start of this video clip that I'm holding is ready at the ending of the last video clip and I can just release it and set today. That's it for this feature, you're going to be kneading it too. For this linkage, you can turn it off. It's not really advisable to have it turned on. Let's say if you have captions on your video, they have captions on this video now. It's going to link its caption. Let me say effect, it's going to link it to the specific video. Is this an effect? So if you drag it text, if you have a text, you can easily just drag this and drag it to the text layer or track order, even if you just drag it and just put it anywhere, it's going to automatically drag it and put it in a text layer. You can see that it's created a text track, a new text track for this. So let just control Z and remove it. And I guess I've talked about everything here. So once you choose the option to keep vocal, it's good to remove let's say you have a music or let me say you're recording a video in a noisier environment, and it's going to ensure that it keeps on the vocal and it's going to move heavier that's in noise music. It's the same thing that we used the same thing that we did using 11 labs. But I think 11 labs based on what I've done so far, 11 labs is better is much better than just vocalizeluon, available on cap coord. So I don't really use this much most of the time. Here we have the reduced noise. If you recorded in a really noisy environment, then this is particularly useful. It doesn't really work that much. It just reduces the noise just a bit, but you still be able to it in the background. The vocalized solution is much better for the purpose of removing noise. Here, if it comes to the speed, you can increase the speed of the clip. You can make it faster and you can make it slower. If it comes to the animation parts here, you have different animations the same thing I showed you have in animation house animation, but it's quite different for video. It's not the same animation for caption, and we have adjustment. Which is the same thing as the adjustment layer that we added, okay? So, right? So we see this color grading. You see this color grading to Z. And for this AI stylize, we have different templates that you can use, um, most of them are P and you won't really be using them. So you can ignore these parts for now. So that's it for this section, I've successfully shown you an cap coot, I guess. There's nothing really left out. Starting January 13, 2025. You can notice these pauses. Even if you look at the waveform, this is called the waveform, which is the audio the audio waveform. You can see all these lines, all the standing, all these lines, one, one lines like this. You can see this pace that there is no line. This space where the space. This indicates that there's the Pulse, okay? There's no audio year, and that's why there's a Pulse. 2025. The monthly subscription. So basically, that means this clip is 4 seconds long with just 23 minutes seconds. So what we're going to do now is to come to this duration here. This duration, with this duration, you can alter the speed of a particular clip to match a specific duration. Let's say you want this clip to be one minutes long, or let me say 5 seconds long. You just put 5 seconds long here, 5 seconds here, then enter. So it's going to adjust the speed in such a way that the entire clip will be exactly 5 seconds long. You understand the idea now. So if you put this now to 4 seconds, I don't know if I can put 23. It does not accept more than one decimal place. So I'll just tap Enter. You can see what's done here. It's not so I just said it to 3.6 seconds and it's actually fits. I don't know if I did something wrong with my calculation, but all the same though. I've actually got. Key frames can be identified by this icon here. You can see this icon that is most of beside these features, beside position beside rotates, besides skill. Keyframes can be used on practically every feature in cab codes. A simple demonstration of a keyframe effect can be like this. Let me add a keyframe to the beginning of this boomerang. I'll just add the keyframe to the scale and then at the end, I'm going to add, let me bring the playhead here. At the end, I'm going to add another keyframe and I'm going to increase the scale to I'm going to increase the scales to this. Okay? So now let me plate and show you what it look like. You can see that it's increasing progressively and slowly. Basically, keyframes are used to create animations in cap code or in video editing in general. And you can add keyframes to practically everything on Capcod. Okay, so I want to create an animation that will make this boomerang, go from this position so this position like this and circular come back here. There are some effects that you can replicate using keyframes like the low quality effects, this low quality effect. I had someone that was asking me how she could access this low quality et, this low quality effect because I think cap cords effect made this effect a pro feature before. Let me show you what this low quality effect does, essentially. Let me remove this broom rang and add it again. So let me show you what this low quality effect does. Sorry, I meant the low exposure, not this one, not this one. Low exposure. So this is it. Okay, so this is low exposure. You see what this does? It dims the whole video. Everything that is beneath this low exposure theater, this low exposure effect becomes dim gradually. So we can also mimic this. We can also replicate this using k frames. So how do we do it? I want to animate this count up in such a way that it would be increasing in size gradually. How do I do that? I simply just need to come to different of this and just add, add the key frame to the scale. Then I come to the last part and just add another keyframe or no need. I just need to just increase the size to the size I want this to end at. This is great. This is okay. You see that the key frame will add automatically. Now, let me play it. Let's see. So this is what we have here. We have these numbers here. These numbers that are counting up, right? So this animation in itself is just a linear animation, ok? It's just going upwards, straight, no other curve effect or something. So if you want to edit this keyframe, there's provision for that using a keyframe graph, and you can access that by right clicking on the video clip and scrolling down. You see show variable speed animation here or you simply just tap tap and hold OK so it bring out this keyframe graph for you. So basically, what you can do here, first of all, you can adjust the scale for me. If you look at this graph now, you can see that for me, it's going upwards. It's going upwards. That means the scale is increasing. If I move this keyframe at disappointed, if I move it, watch this scale, you can see that it's increasing. So I can as well increase the scale. I can increase the size from here too. Let's say I have already already passed already increased it to the max here. You can see like 500 is the max. 500 is the max, but let me bring this cos playhead here. If I increase this to the max now, 500 is the max, I can't go further here. But if I still want to increase the size of this number, I can still open up this keyframe graph and raise it up. You can see. So what you can do here, you can increase the size infinitely. You can increase the size infinitely. So let me just leave it here. You can still do the same here. You can bring it down if you want it to be smaller on the screen. Now, there's something I need you to understand because most people find it hard to understand keyframes. A key frame, when you're creating a keyframe animation, it must be between two or more dots. Okay, two or more keyframes. If you want to create a keyframe that will increase the size of this t now, this, this counts up. You can create just add the keyframe here and just increase the size without adding the keyframe here. So you need to add a keyframe here first. This will signal the start of the animation, and then you add the second keyframe after this one. After the first one you've added, then you now increase the size or you change the position or you change the rotation or any other effect you want to add. Do you understand? So the first keyframe will be the normal level. Where the second keyframe would be one that will contain the change that you want to happen. That's basically what I've done here. And if you look at the graph now, that means from year to year, the counts up is going to increase in size. Once you just understand this, you can easily just find your way around this graph, right? So the next thing we want to do here, or the next thing you can do here is to add an auto curve if you want the animation to be smoother. So all you need to do, first of all, is to tap tap any of these key frames. Okay? So if you tap anywhere beside this key frame, you see that it's going to select. The key frame here is going to turn blue. Let me increase the size of this so that I can see it better, okay? So if I tap anywhere near here, you said that the key frame will turn blue. If I tap anywhere just very close to this, is going to select the key frame. Great. Now look at where it is. It's currently on the linear mode and that's why it's just a straight line. You know this AI voice is pretty easy to understand but so people have different accents and the AI might not be able to detect the exact word that is being spoken. So it actually makes mistakes. You need to edit Csa it and make sure that the caption actually aligns with the audio with the voiceover. If it does not align, you make sure that you edit it. You can easily just edit Ste. So if I choose something like this one, if I choose this one, you see how this takes will change. Let me change this so. Let me put it here and select this one. So watch this takes now. The reason for that is because the copyright rule for long form videos is different for that in short form videos, okay? Now, let's talk about YouTube. If you use a copyrighted music in your long form video, any money that your video makes, if your channel is monetized will not be paid to you. The money will be paid the money will be paid to the owner of the music, and that's why you need to be careful. I know we're not talking about short videos yet. So that's why I actually had to make my selection phase before starting this recording. Okay? Whenever you play music and you think it's a good piece for a video, don't think twice, okay? Don't go and play another one. Just use it. Use it in your video, download it and use it in your video. Because if you decide to play another down one, you think that one is better, and then you start trying to decide between the two. Exporting Your Video (lesson 16): First of all, I want to congratulate you for making it this far in this course. Congratulations, congratulations, congratulations, congratulations. We are now about to export this shorts video that we've created in this course. How do we do that? All we need to do is simply to come to this expose bots in here. You can see this expose bots in here or you simply come here to menu you click FL, and then you see the option to expose video. So this one is easier, obviously. So just click this Expose butts in and then you will see this interface, right? So the first thing you need to do is to name this. You need to name this, right? So, give it a name that is related to your video. Now, if you are working on a long form content or even short form content for YouTube, the name of your video, name of your video file will actually help improve the discoverability of your video, right? So make sure you name it. For this one, I'll simply name it YouTube. TV prize hike. Okay? So if you don't name it, you might be seeing random numbers here, make sure that you name it. It also helps you to easily find the video in your file manager. It doesn't take time. So name your video. I mean, rename your video, okay? And then for the exports location, it's always advisable you create a specific folder for your videos for the videos that you edit. Okay, so for me, I have a folder. I simply name this edited, okay? So it's my videos folder, and I created a sub folder under my videos folder, my PC, and I name this edited. So any video I edit will go directly into the edited folder, as you can see, so I don't need to change it here. And then for this cap codes watermark, make sure you turn it off. Turn it off if you can. I don't know when you're going to be watching this course I Capco to say allow you to turn this off for free, or if they will ask you to upgrade to P. But anyways, I can turn off, make sure you tune it off so that you don't have that annoying Capcde watermark anywhere in your short video. We have this box here that we can check and we can also check. We also have this audio. We have different options. Now, if this option is checked, this means that you are exporting only the video file. Okay, so you're exporting only the video file. But if this audio is also checked, it's also going to export a separate audio only file. So make sure you uncheck this box because there's nothing you are using the audio only file to do. The only scenario when you might be needing this is if you want to expose the audio first ofal and you want to let's say you want clean it in Adobe podcast or you want to or you want to use vocal isolator in 11 labs or say you just want to do something with the audio. You want to edit the audio. You want to mix it and master it or something like that. Then you can just uncheck this box here, and you check this audio only box, and it's going to expose only the audio for you in MP three format, right? So we don't need the audio, so I'm going to uncheck this box. And you can see this exposed GIF here. If you want to expose the video as a GIF, you know what a GIF is like a video format that they use for mimes. It's like loops, right? So we don't need this at all. We don't need this at all. But if you're creating something like Mm contents, if you're creating a GIF specifically, then you can check this book here, and it's going to expose your video as a GIF also. And then we have these captions now. So these captions basically expose the captions that auto generated the captions that you edited in your video. So it's going to expose it as an SLC file and you can also expose it as a SEC Cfle. So these captions, you can upload it on YouTube. So once you've uploaded your video, there's a section for captions. You can also upload this to help. It's also help the discoverability of your video the SO two, and it help sometimes YouTube captions by nodes be accurate. Okay, YouTube captions might not be so accurate. But since you've already edited your captions right here on cap coot, you can also upload this on YouTube. But this is not necessary. If you already have your captions on the video itself, this is not necessary. So we're going to leave this unchecked. And then this check copyright butts remember we already checked for copyright before, so we don't need to turn this on. We don't need to turn this on again, okay? So let's go back to the top and check this video box here. Now for the resolution, we have different resolutions that we can choose from here. The highest is four K. Now, one ATP is the standard resolution for all videos. So it creates a balance between video quality and also video size. So if you expose your video as a four K video, you will see that the size more than doubled. It was 43 MB before, but when I increase the resolution to four k, it became 100 MB. So your video file will be very heavy. And also, your laptop, your device might not play this video. Now, if I expose this video as a four K video, and I try to play it on my laptop, I will just be seeing blank. I'll be seeing a blank screen or I might just be seeing just one frame of the video. I'll be the audio, but it won't be moving. I think that depends on the media player you're using. But generally, you might not be able to play the four k video on your laptop unless you either you use another video player, but if you upload it to YouTube, it will be playable. Okay? So four k is the highest quality, but it is not necessary to choose four K at all. If you recorded the video using your iPhone and you show as four K, fine. You can export s4k or you can just leave it as one CP. Your video quality will still be super which will still be M, okay? But if you want to choose the highest quality, then it's fine. Choose four K. But if you did not shoot as four k, you don't have no business choosing four at all. Leave your video in 18cp. Your quality will be good and the far will not be that heavy. For the code just ive it as H 0.264, leave it C and forms leave it MP four. For frame ate, now these frame rates will determine the smoothness of your video. 30 FPS, which is 30 frames per second is the standard. So it's the balanced option. The same way we have this one TB. One TP resolution and FPS is like a pay. Is standard pay for your video. Leave it one TP and leave it to 30 FPS. But if you actually shot your video using the video camera or your iPhone and you shot it at 60 frames per second, then as you can just choose this. This is the best if you actually have slow mow. Okay, so 60 frames per second is the best because it will create a fluid motion. This slow move will appear fluid, appear choppy. If you choose something like 24 FPS and you slow down your video drastically. It will become choppy. I don't know how to explain that, but it will become choppy. I just be flashing paper. It won't be fluid. If you understand it won't be fluid at all. If you have very, very slow extreme slow motion videos that you want to export, then choosing 60 FPS is the wisest decision, is the best option. But this my video is just the normal standard video. Nothing really much with just editing and no slow mo and all that. 30 FPS is the best option for me right now. And then this optical flow, if you turn it on, it's simply, increase fluidity in your video too. So if you have slow move in your video, it will make the slow move even better. Even if you choose TTC FPSEA and you turn on this obstacle flow, it's going to make sure that that's slow more in your video or your video overall is fluid and cinematic. So I think I've explained everything and I've selected everything that needs to be selected. Now, we have this Edits cover. If you tap this edits cover, what it's going to do is you can add something like a Tom nail. You know what a Tom nail is? A Tmnail is what the viewer will see before it starts playing your video. It's basically the first screen in your video. It's basically the first frame of your video. You see now, this is the first frame in my video, and that's why it chose I chose this as the cover. Now, if you open up this, if you tap the Eds boards, you'll be greeted with this interface where you can actually upload. You can design a Tom Neil on Cava and upload it here and just replace it. You can see this replace boards here simply type replace here, you can select from the video. You can select a frame, a particular frame in the video. Let's say I want this Let me look for something. Let me look for, Let me choose this one here. Okay? So I can choose this particular frame in my video. Okay, great. I can choose this particular frame in my video to be the Thumbnail. Now that I've chosen this, the cover of my video that without playing this video, this is what should be seen as the cover, basically like a thumbnail. Okay? So I can just click this save button here and then it will replace the cover of this video. As you can see. So there are different other options that you can you can see the collage. If you have a brand kid. I don't know if this is a free feature. This should be pro. So if you siting this is a proof feature I've never had to use any of these before. You have the shapes, you have design. You can simply create a cover by yourself on CaCl. But the better option is just use Canva. Use Canva and when you I done designing your Tm nail on Canva. All you need to do is to come here to your video, and let me drag this up a little bit. So once you come to your video and then you zoom in, you zoom in, all you can do here is what you can come here, select this, change your select RS word, then you select everything, right? Or you simply just tap Control A. Now, you're going to drag this you drag everything to the right just a little bit. Make sure that this is on the max. This zoom panel, this Zoom two is in the max where it is maxed out. Make sure it's maxed out. Then you come here and then you add, let's say, I want to add a particular picture as a Tom nail. Let me just import the picture now or let me choose one from here. I have this image of myself and I want to use it as a Tom nail. What I'm going to do is just drag it here to the bottom. First of all, I'm going to use this cause. Let me wait for it to load. Okay, great. I'm going to use this picture and then just make sure it's one frame. You can see this white sin that showing. I can't cause this picture folder. Make it one frame and drag it down to the front of your video. Once you do that and you start zooming out, you can see that becomes very, very tiny, very, very tiny. Now, if I put my playhead here, if I put my playhead there, you can see the image. But if I play, all right, what it come? It won't really shoe I won't resue. Why? Because the duration is very short. This is the way that you can actually add the thumbnail to your video. And why is this important? This is because if you're uploading to YouTube shows, YouTube show does not have a feature for you to upload the custom Tumnil. For YouTube shows, you have to pick a particular frame in your video to use as a thumbnail. So if you create a custom Tumnil by yourself, you need to edit it into the video manually. Okay, you have to edit this in your video editing software, and this is what I just did right now. You do it this way you increase you zoom out to the max, and then you add the Tom nail. You case it to the barest minimum, which is just one frame, okay? You quote it, and then you place it at the beginning of the video. Okay? So it's going to serve as a thumbnail. When you are uploading your video on YouTube, you'll be able to choose this particular frame as your Thumbnail, right? So that's it, let me delete this. I don't want it to be in my video at all. Great. So once you've added your Tom N, let's go back to this exports now, and then I will change this to YouTube TV Prize, YouTube TV, Sub price price hike, grades. Compressing is basically reducing the size of the video without losing quality, very important without losing video quality. You can see this video. Now if I just hover my cross over it, you'll see that the video is I don't know why it's not showing. You can see that it's 47.4 MB. I can still reduce this folder and I'm going to do that now. The tool that I use for this is called handbrake. So handbreak is a very popular tool for compressing videos, and you can easily get it by going to your chrome and your browser rather and just search handbreak download, if you're using a Windows PC, just add for Windows. If you're using the MacBook, you add for MacBook. So once you search, you can see this download button everywhere around. It's just can click the First results and it's going to redirect you to a site where you can download this, okay? So here we have different options. If you're using Line Look, so you can see the directions to install this the links that I need to click, yeah, you are using the Windows PC, you can just click this first one. Don't no need to download this portable zip one. Just click this first option and MicrowsT is the option for Microwa so you can download it here. So for the Window space, I'm using the Windows PC, I can just click this button and it's going to start downloading the Installer. So once the Installer has been downloaded, what I need to do is just to double click it and that's been downloaded completely. I already have handbak though. You can see here. I already have handbak. But to install it all you need to do is just double click it and it's going to open up the installer for you. So just click Yes and then follow the prompts. It's very easy to install. Just follow the prompts and you'll be able to install handbik on your PC, right? So I'm not going to be doing this because I already have in, and I will just be launching the software right now. So let's wait for you to launch. This is hand brick, as you can see, this is the hand brick window. It is very easy to use. It's very, very easy to use. So if you want to compress your video. Once you click here, you'll be able to select the folder and then it's going to compress all the videos in the folder or you simply just drag and drop the folder here. Now, the next thing you need to do is to click this button, this save new preset button. Once you click this, you'll be presented with a window to add preset. Here, I'm just going to name it short video. Name it shows videos, and then here, we're going to come to this part here, this resolution image. This is where we need to change. If we click this now, we're going to change it to custom. Custom normally we're compressing a long form video, then leaving it here as 18 piece, actually, okay. But the problem is, let me show you. If I click this custom now, you will see that the values here are 1920 by 1080. So this size is for long form videos, it's the 169 aspect ratio like my full screen right now. You wave YouTube videos. But our show's video is actually 916, if you remember, it's 916 like a mobile screen. So we're meant to swap this. I was supposed to put 1080 year, and then we put 1920. So that's what you do. Once you click this custom, you change the 1928 to 1080 and you change the 1088 to 1920. You simply it. If you don't do this, the video you are going to be exporting will be in this form. I mean, the video you compress as the result of your compression would be in this format to have a black border. We don't want our video to come out clean a 916 video. The way we exported it from Capcde. Yeah, we're just going to click this ad button and it's going to add the preset, as you can see, we're currently using the shorts videos preset. If you come here, you can see that the size 1080 by 1920. Look at it here. So here you can see this web optimized bots. Check it, okay? So once you check it, it's going to optimize your video in such a way that it is going to be playable on the website. Okay? So if you just out of this bots, you can see optimize MP four for progressive download. After encoding, data is reorganized and rewritten to allow immediate playback over a network without needing to download the entire file. This simply means that, you know, for streaming sites like YouTube or TikTok, you can easily just play it, without having it saves data. It saves data. So just make you check this, okay? You check this. And then what you need to do is simply to click this starts code as simple as that. So the next thing you need to do is to come here to the bottom and you click this browse, okay? You click this brows and you choose a folder or you simply create a new folder where all your compressed videos are going to be stored. That's what I did for my. You can see in my videos folder, I have a sub folder named compressed hand break, and this is where all my compressed videos are stored. So once you click this browse, you simply create a new folder and then you select it. Okay? If you don't have to do that, it's very, very easy. Once you come, you say I'm in compressed handbek already. So I can simply click anywhere. I'm going to write click A and then see this new. Then come to folder and then I'll name the folder. It's as easy as that. It's as easy as that. Let me delete this folder. Let me delete this folder. Yeah, so hold on. Let me create this folder again. Let me create this folder again. New folder. And then once you've created your folder, make sure that you click it to make sure you click it and make sure you're inside this folder before you click this save button, right? So it's very important to do that. So if you don't do that, it's going to save the video outside here in compressed handbrake or in videos in your case. So whenever you create a new folder, make sure that you click it and enter the folder before actually saving it. So once you've done that, you've already selected the path where the video is going to be saved. All you need to do is also come to the top here and click Start code. So this will start the compression, and you can look at the progress here. You can watch the progress so you can see this percentage is here. So once this bar is full, it's fully blue, and the percentage is 100%. That means the compression has been completed. Then you can go to the folder you created and you will find your compressed video. So I'm just going to pause this recording until this compression is done.
