By the end of the course, you'll have all the tools you need to share your presentations with the world, and I'm so excited to give you all the knowledge you need to create your own striking and impressing presentations from beginning to end. I can't wait to see you, Insight 2. What you'll need for the class: this video gonna show you what you'll need to get started with this course. The first things we need to make sure you have at least macro as 10.13 or high Sierra or higher. I'm using Mojave, which is 10.14 and then you need to have, of course, keynotes eight or higher. In this case, I'm using Keynote nine installed on My Mac, so make sure you haven't least Kino eight, so you can follow along. And another thing you need to have enough space in the storage hard drive or an external drive. If you use the exercise files provided in this course, these are around 600 megabyte or more, so make sure you free up some space. And again if you don't use the exercise files, do not worry. You can still follow along and with me throughout the course. Now, if you use the exercise files or you do it, simply go to your desktop or whatever. You download the file to and double click on The file, which is a ZIP file is compressed. And then after he opens up, you should be able to see a file called Exercise File so he double click there and then you'll find all the modules available. Just follow along, and you find older files that you need here to get along with all the lessons there are in this course. 3. Open an existing Presentation: I'm gonna be showing you how to open an existing document. I'm gonna give you a brief introduction off the layout and just showing you where things are on the screen and also how to close a presentation. Now, one of the first way you can open a presentation is to just go to the file. But the presentation is and double click it just to open it. So we could do that now. But you can also open keynote by using the menu bar on top on the finder. She go to go, we have an option to go to your applications. And here we can't just stop on K a few and see it in the first glance and it will jump into the keynote file. We could also open keynote by using the spotlight tarp, Ryan corner, little magnifying glass icon. So if I click on that and I type keynote, this you have just typed up before. But if you soon as you type it is should populate the search and you should be able to see it at the very top. You also have 1/3 way to open keynote which is under the launchpad and by clicking on Kino . Now, in this case, have got ready presentation on my desktop, So I'm gonna just double click on it for now. I'm gonna show you how to open keynote later on as well. If you want to start from a new presentation. But I'm gonna double click here and his should open my keynote. Now, as you notice, I've got lots of different areas here in my layout. So I've got at the top my toolbar with lots of different buttons and areas and on the right hand side of got my inspector. So this will change. According what I click in my slide. And on the left hand side, of course. All my slides, thumbnails. So if I click on any of these thumbnails, it will show me off course the slight. Now, we're gonna be talking about all the things that you see here on my presentation. But essentially, what you need to know is that the left insides where you navigate your slides, the inspector allows you to change things within use light. So if I want to, for instance, click on my text, you and I want to change it. I can click on it And the inspector automatically shows me all the different ways I can change that text I've got in top of got styles I've got taxed If I want to change the font style If I want to change the color Bold italic and all the things about text I can also go to a range which is another way to manage your object within a slight I'm gonna be covering this later In the chapters to the Inspector Three different options of the top We have format we have animated where we can animate objects and also document This will allow you to change the overall aspect of your slight So I'm gonna go back to format for now. Let's say you open your documents and it opens up to big what you can do. You can go to the top left hand corner and here you find the zoom. So when I go to Zoom, let's say you're few Animation opens up this big. We can actually go back into SSM. One of the quickest way to resize it is by going to fit slight. So if I do, that is gonna fit my slight So that's what I prefer when I open a presentation. Because I know exactly where the edges and borders are and give me an ideal the proportion off my objects and images that I add into my slight. Now I can play the slide by clicking on play, so that will give me a full screen off my slide. And if I want to go through the slide, I can either click with my mouse or just press the space bar on my keyboard. So I'm doing it now. So, as you see, I'm just going through some of this light I created. So this is light, which, as some bullet points So we're gonna cover also this how to go through as light bullet by bullet, but also showing you animations like magic Move the one you just So now we text charts and tables. You also notice I've got a ruler here above and on the site off my presentation. You can enable disable that by going to view if you have an option for ruler hide ruler stiff a click on that, it will hide rulers. I could also have an option to add presented notes for go to view again, go to show presented notes. And in this case, I've got some notes here for my slight. So this is something you can actually use when you do a presentation and off course, the audience won't be able to see it. And I'm gonna show you all of that later on as well. So I'm gonna go to view and gonna hide my present the notes for now and again. If you want to go through the slides, I can just click on any slide I want. I can even drag a slight here on the left hand side and change the order if I wanted to. So I'm gonna be showing you this also later on, if I want to change, for instance, this image or any to the simply, just click on it. And then I've got all the options here on my inspector to change the image in the middle top of God. He a bunch of buttons that helped me to add some elements such as tables, charts, text shapes and also media such as photos. Oh, dear, or videos as well. And I also have an option to comment stickers as Well, then we have the collaborate button. If you want to share this weighed your team. So perhaps you want to share with your group so you can click on collaborate Gonna be showing you that as well. We also have an option to do a keynote live, and this allows you to stream your presentation for the internet. Now, if I want to close my presentation or do we simply go to file at the top and Emanu Bar and click on Close and operators will give you an idea how to move around your presentation? But do not worry. I'm gonna go way deep in some of the features and keynotes, and you'll be able to create your own presentation by the end of this course. 4. Create your first slide: Now is the time to open a new presentation. So we're gonna go into Kino, Click on keynote here, my doc. You can also search for keynotes at the top, right hand corner on your spotlight. Magnify glass here on top and type on Kino. And the 1st 1 should be your keynote. Or you can go to go at the top here and you can go to applications And any few top on the K key on your keyboard. It should jump into the K Askey. No. So I'm gonna double click here to open it. So when I opened these up, you should be able to see this template chooser. If you can see this, you might see it. Find a window and you should be able to see a new document button awry here at the bottom left hand corner off the window. In this case here, I've got my template chooser and I've got a couple of choices. He has got the standard choice, which is four by three, which is the standard a tube TV ah format or I've got the wide format which is a 16 by nine ratio. And this is the standard aspect ratio that you find on TV and projectors nowadays. So I'm gonna click here on white, and then I'm gonna scroll down here. So I've got quite a few templates here. I've got a very simple ones. Black and white ingredient. I hold. So have some other down below Here, I've got some modern type of got. Classic. Um, I got, like, some cream paper. Um, I u c have got some for music, and you can scroll down and see which style you like, and, you know, pick one of this, but you can also start from a very simple presentation like a white, and then change it later on to see our looks with different styles. I'm gonna be showing you this later, but for the moment are gonna just click on the white slide presentation and just can choose down below here or double click on the slide says the same thing so I can choose. So I should be able to see this light. Looks like this. You might see your slide. The big Bigas See it this big where you can do you can go to the zoom here at the top left and just use either under percent all my favorite one, which is fit slide. So that will fit the slide completely in my screenshot. Quite like it. Now, on the right hand side of God, my inspector, this will show me the format off my slide in this case, empties Light, which has two text boxes, have called this big box here, and I've got these other one down below. So, as you see here on my spectra says Appearance says Title and body. So these are actually the two text boxes that I see here. And he's also notice that this presentation is titled Title and Subtitle. So I want to get rid of one of these text boxes aligned using just click on it and press the backspace key on my keyboard. Or I can just simply go into the inspector and just antic the body box, and that will get rid of that so I can actually retrieve that later on, if I needed to, by simply clicking on it again without me just going to the text box here on top and resizing it. It's probably better to just hide it if you don't need it, so if I want to resize this text box will include simply click on it anywhere within that frame and then you see these white squares around it and actually hover the cursor over one of them. And I can just simply resize it if I wanted to. And as you noticed, keynote will resize the text Us Well, when you trying to make a very small So in this case, I'm gonna just leave it like this and I'm gonna move my tax box above. So to do that for you to do simple just place the cars within the frame again, click and hold and drug up. So your no results. So I've got these guidelines, just yellow guidelines, which is snaps when I basically either reached the middle or the edges or the center by just moving it around. So if you see if I move this for move my cursor down with a text box, it will also give me these other guidelines Here in the middle. This is exactly the center on my slight, which is quite handy. So I'm gonna drug up here and then I'm just type my first presentation. Now I can change the font style by just highlight my text. I can either just drag the cursor within the text box to highlight it and other way would be just triple click. So if we do that, it will highlight the entire row or paragraph. You have one. And here the inspector will show me what highlighted in my slight so I can go here and say , I wanna have just, um Helvetica hope Vatican. You can change the whatever you like. So let's go into Helvetica and I'm gonna just choose light. And I could change the font size by using this option here. And my inspector, I can make it bold if I wanted to. So you can do all this changes here on my inspector. As you notice my thumbnail on the left hand side changes as well. And if I want to change the background with a different color, I can goto background here on my inspector and click on this pallet. Now the palette here down below as two different section. I got quick selection off colors so I can just click on any of this to change the background. So that's the way to change your background. He quickly I wanna go back to white or I can click on the palate here next to it. And that allows me to see a polit here on the left off somewhere on your screen, you should be able to see it, and you can actually choose your own color. Here you go. So have, like, five different choices to choose your colors. She's quite handy. So I'm gonna leave it as it is. I'm gonna make sure this is go all the way to write. If it doesn't, you just go to the quick button here and go to white. So that's the way to change. Your color is also a way to change your master. So the format off my presentation by going to change Master here on my inspector. And yeah, I've got a bunch of options of God. One we text in images and vertical and horizontal have got some bullet points, of course, and paragraph format of Onley images, etcetera. So I can choose any of this and that will change my slide. So, for instance, if I choose the second photo, horizontal is going off course changes as well, so I can I put my own image, I can change my own text. So let's go back to the 1st 1 and is going to go back to my first master. So this is the way to change your master and your presentation. In this case, I don't need the subtitle or the body. And just until that and I'm gonna move that again on top of that, a resize my box. And I'm gonna move that on top in the next video, gonna show you how to create a new slides and how to carry on creating your presentation. 5. Adding a second slide: Okay, Now that we create our first live, we're gonna go to create the second. So to create a new slide, we have a add slide button here at the top, left hand corner next. Ours. Um so when you click on it, you have a choice off different format. You have titles and subtitles. The one we have now you also have photo horizontal. We have for a vertical. We have some bullet points. We have also some other bullets, weeds, photos. We have only photos. And you have also a nice full screen for us as well. So if I want to, for instance, have a photo on the side with some tax, I can click on that one photo vertical. So that allows me to add my second slight. As you can see, I've got my seconds light here on the left, and then I can just start to type something into my slide. So let's say I want to double top there, and I can say something like Welcome. And I can also resize these tax box to have my tax, the top at the moment. So if I click outside that box anywhere and I click inside again. I see the border off their box, which is way too big. So I can actually resize that by dragging these white squares around it and then resize that And I can also resize that I can't reposition if I wanted to. I can resize that I can move it up the alignment guides help me to center it properly. I'm gonna type something here in the sticks box by double clicking on it and start to type something and just copy and paste something. I just copied some text from an A document. Do edit paste and match style. So you see, I've got some text there and I can resize my tax by clicking inside the box. And now the inspector is gonna show me a bunch of options and how to change the text. If I want to change the size, I can go to text here on my inspector. And I can change the size of my fund by just doing by just changing this value. Another way to change the tax quickly within the text box is by clicking with Xbox. Make sure is highlighted with this blue frame around it and you can use a shortcut on your keyboard, which is command plus or minus to make the text smaller. Bigger? This is just a nice need. Shortcuts that I use old time when I want to resize some text within a box. No. Sometimes if you're Texas too big, it will show you a little plus icon at the bottom means that some taxes missing from my text books. So you need to do simply hover the cursor over the plus. When you see a two arrow, you drag it down and you can fit a whole lot within the text so you can do that. You can also resize the borders by just doing that so you can resize by just dragging it and the text. Of course, it will wrap accordingly. So if I want a center again referring to my welcome, I can just move it around to resize it. So this is the way to move around with your text within within a slight. Now, if I want to change the image, I can just click on the little icon down below the bottom right hand corner, and that allows me to change the image to one of mine. I'm gonna show you how to change it image later on. But it was simply click on this and shoes one of your image in the next video gonna show you how to change the theme and how to move around your different styles. 6. Change Themes: Now that we have some content in our presentation, we can actually experiment different looks different styles by going to the other themes. Now I can change my thim or the entire presentation. I've got only two slides here. I've got my first slide seconds light so I can go to the document in my inspector the third time here on the top, right? And I've got an option to change the theme so I can go here and choose a different theme. As you notice. I've got the same theme that you so before when we choose in the first style. But, you know, they've got quite a few of them, so I can choose another one here and I can click on, for instance, modern type Hinckley can choose. So as you can see now, my slide presentations my presentation overall has changed. So I've got my taxed on the other side in this case and got image here on the on the left hand side. If I click on the first light now, I've got my title at the bottom here. So everything has changed just by change in that style. If I want to change it to a different one. I can go to change theme again, and I can choose that. Say, I want to have the photo essay and ironically can choose, So that will change it there again. So I've got another style of the font style as well. Now my text is right in the middle. So let's say I want to experiment with this and I want to add another slide so are into simply go to add slide here on the top left hand corner. And, as you know it is Now I've got a bunch of new, different styles within that theme. So let's say I want to have, for instance, these photo horizontal old Let's choose that one and I can just double click to edit. So I'm gonna just say presence, marketing. Oh, I can say section two section section one and down below. Here, I'm gonna double click and say, marketing plan that's going to carry on with this for a while. Then I want to re changer again so I can go again into my change theme here on the side. And let's say I want to go back to my white style that have chosen initially, so I can click on that. So, as you notice, though, I've got an option here at the bottom left hand corner off my theme chooser that says keep your style changes so that what that means is, if you hover, the cursor over there is gonna tell you hear, Select to retain style changes to shapes, tables, charts and other objects. So what that means is it will only change the theme. But no, you're a text funds your sizes, you shapes etcetera. Everything will be the same as the beginning. But everything else will change. The position will change as you notice. Now, Now, I'm going to keep this ticked because I want to keep off course. All the changes that I do in my presentation just changed the aspect of it. An unlikely can choose. I'm gonna go back to my white click on shoes and now we're back to square one so it can actually see if I click on the first light. Now my text is moved to the center and my seconds like the text now is went down here rather than be above. And the third is loud. Now I've got this picture with the text down below, So be a whether these changes will affect the positions off your object and your text when you change the theme. 7. Saving your Presentation: I'm gonna show you how to save your keynote presentation. Now, we created so far three slides, but we haven't actually saved the document yet. When you open a new document, you'll see on title on top. And as soon as you add some text or images or anything else you'll see next to it the word edited. Now, I can save this by clicking on that title and given a name. And now here gives me an option to save it into the picture folded. But I can actually go into the picture pop up menu and I can choose my folders from here. Now I'm gonna show you another way to save, And I can go at the top here, left, go to file and click on safe. Now you notice safe has these ellipses next to it. And that means that you haven't saved the document yet otherwise able to camp without ellipses. So I'm gonna click on that and I'm gonna just name it My first presentation I'm gonna save into my desktop. Frankly, can't save. Just be aware when you create a new presentation. Keynote. Make sure you save it at the very beginning but that's my suggestion and this because keynote will save all of your modifications later on automatically. So if I want to then close the presentation after a worked with it for a bit. I can just click on the red button here, the top left hand corner, and that presentation will be saved automatically because keynote will also save your changes, so I make sure you save at least once. 8. Adding a Logo to all my slides: if years key nodal any other presentation software to make your slides, you probably find yourself using the same theme over and over and then making those changes all the time. Moving the objects around, moving the text change in the font style things that you can definitely avoid by creating a theme and modify the Masters. I'm gonna show you in this video how you can add a logo for all of your slides by simply modified the Masters light and in the following videos on a show you other ways to create your own theme. Now let's say I've got here three different slights and I want to add a little lago here at the bottom right hand corner. Let's pretend that I've got more than three. Let's say you might have a presentation now the U important Aquino and perhaps you being working with it for a while, and you have, like, more than 50 slights, and perhaps you want to add a little logo on the site so instead, off copy and paste that logo over and over for each slight. The easiest way would be just creating a muster slight and actually create your own theme and on the format In my inspector, I can see slide layout. Now, I've got an option to edit the Masters light, and that's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna click on that and I will see all the masters lights for that specific theme. That white theme. So these are all the one that you see when you click on add slights. If I click on its light now, I've got all the one you saw before in the previous videos. Now I can modify this list and I can make my own. So in this case here, I wanna have my logo now. I will never logo on the side here. So what I'm gonna do, I'm going to resize my window again. I'm gonna go through the exercise files and I'm gonna go to I'm gonna drag my logo example into this light. Now I'm gonna close this and resize it, and I'm gonna move it on the site. So let's say I wanna have that to all this light. I'm not really sure which one I want to delete. For now, I want to add it to all of them, so I'm gonna just copy that. So I can just right click copy or you can do just command. See? Then you're gonna go to each of this light without touching anything. You just click on command V, show you the next one. Come on, V. Next to on. Come on, V. And you do this for all of your thumbnails. So you make sure you copy and paste that, so I just do it. All of them. Perfect. So once you've done that, you can click on done at the bottom right corner. And now I've got my local there from before by hold so ever in all the other remaining slight. So when I create a new slight now you see the little logo is present everywhere. Now, if I click on any of these lights, that's unlikely contest. When he have titled Top, my logo is there. So this will add the logo everywhere in future slides and in existing slides as well 9. Create your First Master slide: Now is the time to create our theme from scratch. So not just adding a lago on the side like I showed you in the previous video, but by completely changing the aspect in the style off your presentation. Now we're going to minimize this presentation for a second by clicking on the yellow button at the top left. We're gonna go into the exercise files model to and we gonna click on model to V one. That's the file presentation we want open. So this is the sort off style I want to create today from scratch. So I've got here beautiful slide with nice image and nice, neat text with some shape over imposing it, which is quite nice. Go here on the left hand side. Other slight. So I've got here the one with the tax, The one without Perhaps I want to use this light, wade some text without me adding this light in this image all the time. And then I've got another one with some bullet points and with the name mentioned the background as well. I'm I wanna use this as a master slide as well for some of my some of my slight. I'm I wanna have another one as well. With this image in the background, Um, I wanna have a bullet point with the same image slyly shadowed so you can have all of these sort of styles as your masters as well. And the last one here, down below is a nice dark background with the logo on the side. And with this nice banner at the top, so you can actually have a myriad off possibility in terms of creating your slides your muster's. But today we're going to create something like this. So I'm gonna minimize this for now. I'm gonna open the other presentation we have on our doc the first on my first presentation , and we gonna create our own theme. The first thing we're gonna do you gonna click on any of the thumbnails on the left inside Doesn't matter between you click on and then we're gonna go into the first light and deleted. We're gonna also delete that slide the this light, we're gonna only keep one blank slight, and then we're gonna go into edit Master slide here on the right hand side. Mount Inspector, on the format. You should be able to see slide layout and click on Edit Master Slight. Now we should be able to see all the masses light on the left hand side. So the title's subtitle The Faro results all etcetera. So these are all the one you see when you click on add slide is plus parts and at the top of the tuba. Now we're going to modify and delete some of this. So, for instance, the 1st 1 tied on subtitle I might want to actually delete this. I wanna keep it. So I'm gonna click on that and start to delete all the one I'm not gonna use. And I'm not gonna use this either. Actually, I'm gonna just delete that logo as well. I don't need that. And I'm gonna leave the whole slide anyway, So that's I want to believe that as well. Okay, this says once light currently uses thes masters light for enough. So we're gonna skip for now this slide because apparently I use this in the existing is light that I've got opened, so I'm gonna press cancer for now. Do not worry. If you have their message, just press council and keep on the leading the other ones as well. So we're gonna start from scratch. This is something that you can do simply by pressing delete. I'm gonna delete that. Um, I'm gonna delete that logo as well, and I'm going to leave the logo in the 1st 1 to now. I want to keep a blank slide because I might want to start from scratch A regardless of what theme I've chosen, I'm going to go into the plant spots and I'm gonna add another blank because that's what I'm gonna create. My first, my very first slight. I'm gonna call this chapter slight. And the reason why in doing that is because I want to always have the first light or the slide that separates my presentation. And I wanna structure representation by section or by modules. So I could do that by having, for instance, a slide says chapter one or module one or something like that. So now what I'm gonna do you wanna have a nice image in the background? The one we just so before. So here on the inspector on the format, I've got an option to change the background at the moment. I've got color feel But you can actually go here and choose any of these other ones I can have a great and feel I can have a advanced great and feel which gives me more option to change the color shading. And I've got also image feel So I'm gonna go to image feel and then ironically can't choose So he young in my exercise file You should be able to have a fire Coal Seaview That's what I'm gonna use. Gonna click on that and click on open so that allows us to have this nice slide. And now I want to add a text on the side here. So you know the 12 attacks, I can go to the appearance here on my inspector and click next the title toward my title. Unless I want to have that little bit smaller slyly on the left. So I'm gonna resize my tax box by dragging one of these white dots, and I'm going to do that and I'm gonna move it on the side. I'm gonna hold so resize the text. So I'm gonna go into inspector again on the text, and I'm gonna change the point from under the 12 to something a little bit smaller and I'm going to go into the font Helvetica. And you're quite like it, actually, And go to medium Let's say I wanna have that, um bold And I wanna have a shape just behind these tax box. I'm gonna go to shape in my tool by here on top and I'm gonna choose one of these around its shape. I'm gonna click on the 2nd 1 around the Threat Tunggal, and I'm gonna over impose that and resize it. I wanna have it the size. Don't worry the nectar. Centralize it. Now, now there you over impose a tax what we need to do We need to go into a range in our inspector on the right hand side And now we have a bunch off buttons on top. We're gonna go into backwards because we're gonna go just one lay year behind. So the difference between backwards and forwards and back in front is that backwards and forwards will only jump one layer at the time. And back in front will jump all the layers. That's very handy. So I'm gonna just use backwards for now, and I'm gonna resize it when I'm making nice. And when I use the guidelines here, these little yellow lines tells me exactly where the center is. And I'm gonna resize the height as well to make it as uniform and as regular as possible. So let's say quite like it that way. Perfect. Now, if I finish and I'm happy with that now, I'm gonna go to my master's lives here, on the left, Inside. I'm gonna drag that on the top and my first master's light is finished in the next video gonna show you how to tree ate the other ones, so stay tuned. 10. Blank image slide and bullet slide: Now that we have our chopped the slide master created, I wanna show you have another one very similar to this one, but without any text. So what I'm gonna do, I'm gonna go to the ad slide here on the top left. Now, I've got my chapters light as my master so I can choose it. They're actually. And now that I've got it here on screen, I can get rid of the tax by highlighting it and getting rid of it. And I want to save these as a slightest well, and I'm gonna call this year on the left hand side, I'm gonna double click on the slide. I'm gonna call it blank Blank Image blank, actual level of blank section Presser 10. And now I'm gonna have that at the very top. So I've got a blank section. Then ago, a chapter slides and then I'm gonna have another one week, another image, something like on the ant slide, and I'm gonna choose a blank one, and then I'm gonna go again into the background here on my ass. My inspector, click on call. Feel click on image feel now, instead of having this Seaview, I'm gonna go into choose and in my exercise file you should be able to see books one, Choose that one and click on Open. Now we have our nice image here and we're gonna add a shape, weight, some text in it. So I'm gonna go into shape on my toolbar on top and I'm gonna choose my around it with Tunggal again If you choose one style that say around that rectangle around the shape where we should actually use them for out your presentation just to keep consistency I'm gonna just to resize it you notice every rounded rectangle as a little green dot on the site here . And that allows me to basically dragged that dots and basically, um, reshape the corners to make it even more around it. Almost like circle, actually a circle to a very spiky square. So under I'm just gonna just gonna make it a little bit more pointy, not too much. And then I'm gonna add some text. Now, you nanny keynote presentation. When you create a shape, that shape allows you to add some text in it by double clicking on it. So if I do that now, now I can type my own text in it here, which is quite handy now. I tend to use a separate tax box for it, and the reason is have got more flexibility to move the text box around independently. From my shape, this is really up to you. You can simply go there and tie for instance, my bullet list and I can actually have my bullets here are gonna have, for instance, 0.1 0.2 and you got the gist. So you get to title this. So after you type your list, you can highlight the list and on the inspector on the format text, you should be able to see at the bottom bullets lists so I can go to no bullet, and I can have a text bullet, and I've got these bullets appearing here on the site. And that's what I was telling you about adding a tax box separate from the shape because now that we're clicking on the shape and start to type as his own benefit of being quick by the same time now I need to basically resize the margins here. So in this case here, I'm going to delete off this And instead of having attacks by double clicking on the shape , I'm gonna click context. You don't talk to have a text box separate, and there we go. Now I've got that text box in the middle of my sliding on a drag in and I'm gonna cool this bullet point. I'm gonna center it, have these guidelines, is very helpful. And now I'm gonna add another one. So for simplicity, I'm gonna duplicate that so you can use command D to duplicate objects and texts within its light So I can do command d or you can go to edit and duplicate selection so I can go down here and I can have my bullet here so I can have 0.1. Okay, now added my points, and I wanna have my bullet. Soto added bullets or you need to do is simply go to your inspector on the format text, and then you're gonna go at the bottom here on the bulletin lists and you choose your own bullet. In this case, I'm gonna choose text bullets on other bullets are much closer to my tax, which is ideal. So and now I can just resize that box and shoes Exactly what I want without compromising my shape. And I can even make this text biggest by going to the Helvetica. Knew he on the front and make that bigger. They could make it say 50. And then I can recite a text box and I could move it down here. And I can also change the size of that. I can use again the same front area here, make that bigger organ. You can use command plus or minus a shortcut if you want to quickly resize something Now, before I saved this light, I need to make this text as placeholder. So what that means is I need to be able to select thes masters light for my menu and double click on it and change with my own text. So if I want to do that, I need to click on it. I'm gonna go to format and going to advance and define that as a placeholder. Now, we're gonna talk about placeholders later in other videos. But what you need to know is when you sat attacks as a placeholder. When you save it as a master slight, next time when you reopen it from I'd slide. You can actually double click on it and type your own text. That's where the placeholder is. So we're gonna do the same thing for the bullets. So gonna click on the bullet point, going to the former to go to advance and defined as appraisal days are detect perfect. And then we are ready to go. So now, me, it's just name thes slide here. I'm gonna call it this bullet list Press return. We just need to create our fourth and last slide for this presentation, and then we're gonna save it as a theme. 11. Adding 4th slide and saving theme: The next step is to create the fourth slight with our bullet points. So I'm gonna go into the add slide here on the top left hand corner and I'm gonna click on blank. He ain't gonna go into my background here on the left, inside of my specter. And instead of Caulfield, I'm gonna go into advance image field. So the advanced image feel allows me to have an emerge plus a shadowed layer on top of it. So in this case, I want to choose a different image we're going to choose, and you should be able to see in the exercise fires on the modern, too. A file called Books One. I'm gonna use that and click on Open. And now I'm going to add some text by using the appearance here on my master slide layout. Gonna click on title and unlikely Caught a body as well. Now, if I want to change the text color or inclusively highlight my text going to the inspector on the text and change it to a white. So I'm gonna go to the tax color section under the quick selector, and I'm gonna click on the white on going through the same thing for the tax box down below . And I'm gonna go into my spectre again, Click on a quick selector and click on the white Perfect. Now I'm gonna resize thes stacks boxes just to make a little bit, um or, you know, proportional And the text here on top of you just make a slightly smaller I would probably say 90 would do and leave it as it is, probably just slightly down. And my tax box here with my bullet I could leave either like this. Oh, I can just change the indentation, as you notice have got this indentation, which in this case, I don't really like. So I'm gonna click on the 2nd 1 here. I'm gonna go down to my bulletin lists and change the indentation to zero and under the same thing for the rest off. I'm gonna click on the 3rd 1 to the same zero point into the same one that on that zero point and the same on the on a zero point. Okay, so that looks much better when they re size that box. Make us ladies Moeller and I'm done with this so I could also add an additional placeholder here. If she's you notice you've got various options. I added my title, my body. I also have a slight number which are really used, but you might want to use that. And that appears at the bottom middle screen are not going to use that for now. And the object placeholder is another place where you can actually at something in it, like an image or anything else. I'm going to just leave it as it is for now, and I'm gonna click on done down below. So now I just need to save my theme. So to save your theme, or yet we seem to go to file and many about here, frankly, con save theme. And I've got an option to add that theme into my theme chooser. And that's why I'm gonna do now I'm gonna click on that and I've got a section just for my theme As you notice I got standard wide and my theme I'm gonna name this my favor seem and click on return So this is saved. So in the future, I can use this theme over and over for my presentation. But have fun experiment and see you in the next video. I'm gonna show you more tips and tricks about keynote 12. Text and Image Placeholders: So let's talk about placeholders and how we can modify them how to create our masters. So a placeholder, essentially easy, an object where you can drag media in and that media or, for instance, and image can take the same shape as their placeholder. So, for instance, for going to my file here on the top and I go to new, I'm gonna open a wide presentation like let's go back to our white and click on shoes. Now, if I go to my ad slides, you'll notice, of course, some of these lives with images. So if I click on getting my photo vertical these image here and let me just put this into fit slide So you see the entire slide. So you noticed this image as a little symbol down below here at the bottom Ryan corner. So that is our placeholder button, so that allows us to drag another image in, and that image will take place instead of that one. Now, when I click on that is gonna access to my photo library. Now, I don't have any photo at the moment. So instead of using that pattern, are going to Dragon Imogen so I'm gonna go into my desktop, Gonna just resize my window. I'm going to exercise files and I'm gonna drag one of my image here from my model to So let's drag, for instance, my seaview I'm gonna drug that in so inclusive drag and drop it in the cities. You notice what I dragon? Imagine you see a little blue frame around it. So if I let go, the other image will take place inside of that one following the margins off the original place Older. Now I can double click there, and I can move the image to reposition it. I want to help you with that. I can tell you can't done at the bottom. So that's create our own master Slight. So I'm gonna close this presentation for now. Delete that I didn't want out. Save it. And I'm gonna open my first presentation from my exercise fire. So if you follow through, the module should be able to see this to slights one white and one with this image, and you should be able to see under add slide, the four mustard slavery created in the previous videos. Now we're gonna go into edit. Must've slights first on my inspector. So we're going to do simply click on any of the thumbnails on the left hand side first, and then just click directly on edit Master Slight on the Inspector. Now, we're gonna go and create a new slide. You're gonna go to Aunt Slide and I'm gonna start from a blank slide in this case down below here. Now, if I want to create a placeholder image, for instance, I can have an image first. So I'm gonna go again into my exercise files and my desktop, and I'm gonna use one of my existing image. So in this case here, I can choose. For instance, Let's see, I can choose my desktop to I'm gonna drug desktop to down below. So these images quite big, So I'm gonna resize it first. Gonna make it slightly smaller. Perhaps I wanna have it right in the middle when I use the alignment guides to center it. Perfect. I might wanna have some text, perhaps above or below, so I can have that by clicking on the background and using title. So this is a place holder in this case. So when I add and I take on these boxes while I'm in the master editor. These textbooks will be creditable when I, um, at a new slight. So this case says titles like that, so I'm gonna leave it as. And now I want to be able to change this image to whatever image I want according to the presentation. So in this case, I want to make this as a placeholder to do that, I'm going to my format under Advanced, and I've got an option to define that as a media placeholder. So if I click on that now, that little symbol that we saw before appears eaters. Well, and now, if I'm happy with that, I can just go into the left hand side. And when I rename this image on text slide actually gonna use just image and text and press return an hour can click on down at the bottom right hand corner to save this master. And now, if I'm going back to my at slide button the top and I want to end the imagine tax tank and click on that. And now my placeholder is there. So if I can go back into my exercise files and drag another image in, for instance, I want to drag my book image in there. I can simply drag and drop it into the placeholder, and that will take place automatically. So this will save you a lot of time and have different placeholder images and objects within your slights will make your life much easier. As you notice my tax placeholder now is created so I can double click to start to tie my own text. So reading material. Now, if you want to create a tax placeholder, you can click on the thumbnails on the left hand side here, any of them and click again on edit Masters light on the Inspector so I can have a text, for instance, down below here. So this is already a placeholder because we added from our title appearance here on the right hand side. If I want to add some text placeholder down below, just move the image side down at a text box on top here, my tuba. I'm gonna drag their tax on top here. Now I'm gonna make thes Texas a placeholder by going to format in the menu bar core to advance. And now I'm going option to define that as attacks placeholder. And that's what I'm gonna do now gonna think on that. And once he's done, I'm ready now to go to done. And now when I go back to my ad slide and click on image and Text and this would have to tax placeholder the one that is created by default, the one we create ourselves so I can just click on it and start to type my own text, my own text. And if I want to add the image, I can drag the image in by doing quality before. So this is how to create text and image place holders. 13. Different ways to view your slides: and this video. I want to show you how you can actually view your slides in different ways. At the moment we see here are thumb leaders view on the left hand side. It shows me basically all my slight in vertical view. But if I go to the view button on the top, left hand corner to the top one is our navigator. But we also have slight Onley. I'm I want to hide that section or I can go to something called light table and that allows me to actually view my slides in a sort of a wider view. If I want to check what I've done so far, I can even use the zoom at the bottom right corner here to zoom mind slide to see them a little bit bigger. And I can also hide skipped slides as well. If I want to go back into the outline, perhaps I want to see my slides this way and I see them in family of you here on the side, very tiny one, and I can see the notes that I wrote down under the slight by just clicking on this light, and it shows me the notes down below my thumbnail. So when I click on view, these are the four view I've got. And I also have the option to edit my master's lights, which we're gonna cover later on. Then I've got also sure finding replace, which is very similar to the Microsoft word. If I'm going to find their word and replace it to a different one, I can use that. Does this kind of the search tour of go here available? The other options is to show rulers so I can see my rulers on the border off my slide. Very useful as well. Gonna hide them for now. I can also hide the comment and show the comment and show presented notes down below here so I can see my notes just down below my slight. So I'm gonna go back to my navigator. But this is the way to change the view off your presentation by just clicking on the view button 14. Free to use images and videos: in the Exercise Files folder, you'll find a few images that I added for discourse. But if you want to use more images for future projects, you can go to your browser and you can search for website called on splash dot com. It was one of my favorite, and you can search for images here. Or you can actually use pack cells dot com, which is the other website where you'll find photos and videos as well that are provided by talented creators. So you can actually use this for your projects at the time of this recording, on splash dot com and pack cells that come our website, where you can download free to use images and videos. 15. Full screen images onto your slides: another way to add images in four screen on your slide is by dragging them on the thumbnail viewer area here on the left hand side. I'm gonna show you how to do that in this video. No, I'm just gonna move one of the borders here to reveal my desktop. And if you're going to you exercise files model to images, so you'll find some images. So, Aiken, drag one of these directly in the area here on the left. So if I drag that image directly here now, I can drop it there. And now I've got my image directly on this light. Now, I might have some other image with different aspect ratio. Perhaps. Have got this one here. My books. One. If I drug that into my thumbnail there is gonna fit the entire screen automatically and might not have the same dimensions as they just lied. But if it that happened like it's like number two, I can simply just dragged the border on the side and other border on the other side to fit into the slight and job done. Now let me to size keynote window. We're back here if I want to do some adjustments. Of course, I can go back to my zoom top left. Let's go to 50% so I can see the entire slight plus the rest of the image. I can double click on the image following crop it. And again I can drag these black dots to crop exactly like my slight aspect ratio and press done or click anywhere on screen to save it. So this is the other, quicker way to add your images into your slides by dragging them to your thumb Reviewer. 16. Adding text to slides: Now that we know how to add you tax placeholders we need to also know how to act taxed around your slides because we'd be can just create tax place all the all the time we mind would just want to add some text and at some words in it. So, in this case here, I've got my template. A few following up be the exercise files is the exercise files Module three presentation called Marketing slides. Now we get our text here by double clicking and typing it. But what about adding additional text, which is not necessarily in our masters light here on the top left, so we can just go into the texts onto bar here? So I've got some elements that I connected to my slide, including the text box. So we're gonna click on that, and that will add a text just right in the middle of the screen. So be careful, babe, because sometimes when you add a tax box, you might not see it straight away. So my suggestion is soon as you click on a tax battle on top, go straight into your front inspector here and change the size of the front, so you might be able to see it after you move it. Because you might have a very high resolution image you might have. Are there elements in the screen so you might want to adjust the size first. So that's my text box. And I can pretty much put it anywhere I want. So I can actually drawing this place older here, and I could have some text. Let's say right below here. Now, I just copied some text from a document, so I'm gonna double click down, gonna go to edit and click on paste. So the text is quite big, so I can actually change the font style by going to the inspector on the text. I'm gonna just make this bit smaller. Let's try something like 35 would do. And I'm gonna just change the size again, and we my guidelines are gonna make sure that he's aligned to my text box does well, so when I just drug jacks box there, I'm gonna just Stipe. Welcome on, then. Just three size My text box got this very useful guidelines. It tells me exactly where the edges is. Now, if you don't see that guidelines at the edge. You need to enable this. So if you go on top off key note on the preferences you ever section for rulers kick on rulers. So make sure that show guides at object edges is selected, minus selected. To make sure you take yours as well, I'm gonna click on the red too close. So that's how I get those guidelines, the edges. Perfect. So this is the way to add a text into it. Now I can change the former off the text on Be careful when you do that. So when you want to change the overall text format within a text box, so you need to do is simply click on the text anywhere in the text. Once. Once you see this blue frame around it, you can actually go to inspector on the text, and you can changed text fund here now. If I do that, it will change the format of the entire text box. Let's go back to medium and let's say I want to just change the format off one word. Why do simply just double click on the word and then can go into the former and just make that bold. Well, I can change the color of that by going to the color palette on the pick selector and then just choose a different color So I can do that, and I can click on a background to de select, so that's the way to manage your text. You can also use command plus and minus to increase the size of the shooting. Previous videos just click once inside the text in the new command, plus or minus to make a euro smaller. You can also change the alignment. The tax by by justifying on the left on the right or in the center is really up to you. How you wanna have it. I can actually make that a little bit less bold because quite too bold in there. And I can actually make bold Onley certain words by doing just that by clicking on the B as a bold highlight. Two words, for instance, and make those highlighted and bolted. So this is the way to add text into your slight. It's very, very simple. You have a text box here. We always make sure that you know where the text is being dropped because Sometimes it's very hard to see if the resolution of your presentation is very high. Usually the tax box is placed just in the middle off the slide. 17. Being creative with Text: Don keynote nine. We can actually be more creative with our text. We can now add not just colors, but also images as well. Within our text, I'm gonna show you this and this lesson. So I'm gonna go into the ad slide at the top left hand corner on a click on blank. Start from that, I'm gonna add attacks. Box the top from my toolbar, and I'm gonna type the word technology. Actually, type all this in Capital Double. Click that to highlight. I'm gonna go to my inspector, and I'm gonna change the font to impact. You should be able to have that on your computer as well. And the size and gonna choose 200. Make it big enough. Now I'm gonna place these on the site. Now we're going to tax Inspector the top. Now I've got a section for text color. Now, if I click on that pop up menu, I've got lots of different ways to change the color and the aspect of my tax. I can go to Grady and feel now I can have the option to add two different colors and also I can change the angle as well. So Screeches Quite cool. Ah, also have the option to use it. I am advance advanced. Great. And feel a swell so I can change the way the light behaves within the text, which is pretty cool. And I also have a d image feel So this is new. Now I can actually go into choose. And if you go into your exercise files module three images so you should be able to see something called Logic Board. So I'm gonna click on that and click on open. And as you can see now, the image is embedded within my tax, which is pretty cool. Not gonna have duplicated the sex here. I'm gonna show you another way to do it duplicate, and I'm gonna write the word water. We're gonna highlight that that will click on it and going to choose click on water and click on open. And now I've got my nice look off my water text. Now I've included other patterns that you can use, but again, you can download free patterns and free copyright patents from axles dot com or any other website similar to it. Now, other things I can do here is I can just go into the inspector here. I've got bunch of options here under image Feel I can use the original size to make the text look this way. Otherwise I can choose something like Stretch. If I want to stretch the image away through my text, I can use style kind of repeat the text over and over scale to fit or scale, um, scale to feel and scale to fit. So skilled if it doesn't work and scale to feel works very well. So I'm gonna leave it as it is. So play around with text and be very creative here because you have lots of different ways to make your text and your presentation more interesting. And I'll see you in the next video when I'm gonna show you how to deal with shapes. 18. Adding images as background: now that I'm playing around we the text and with images, I want to also change my slide here. Now one of the way to quickly change the background is by changing the master straight away so we can actually go here on the specter on the format. We have an option to change the master right above here. So if I click on that, I've got the least of my Muster's and it's a I wanna have that locked up here Now. If I do that, though, what happened is that these text is gonna come up, which I don't want, so I could delete that. But I cannot delete the shape because it's part of my master's light. So instead of using musters light, there's another way. So let's go back to change. Master, go back to blank so I can just directly add image so I can go into media and I can go into the option to choose an image and on the exercise fire, you should be able to have lapped up, too, which is the other image. And if they can insert now, if I want to place this as a background, I can go to arrange in, my inspector and I can click on back. And now I've got the image there without that text box from my master's light. So if we're tryingto highlight something in the text here looks like my image here. It's not locked yet, so I need to lock it here in my inspector. So now that you see this little tiny axes around, image means that image. Now it's locked, and I can simply highlight everything without having to deal with the image anymore. So this is the other way to manage your image is as background without having to deal with the master slight. 19. Adding Shapes: now that we played around, we text and image embedded in text is the time to deal and add some shapes. So I'm gonna go into my insert on the menu bar here, and I've got an option to add a shape here. So I've got quite a few here. Not too many, though I've got more shapes, actually, in my toolbar here on the shapes of a click on that, I've got not just the basics but also all of this other categories. So now I've got a myriad off different kind of shapes that I can add which are all customizable, which is pretty amazing. So let's say if I want to search for a shape readyto art or tak I can actually search on top by typing art. I've got all the art shapes here. I'm gonna choose This splash is quite good. I'm gonna drug it somewhere here when the resize, by dragging the borders Onda, let's say I want to change the color so I can go to my inspector here and I can choose a different color. Oh, I can just go to color feel pop up menu and change it to something like great and feel quite good or advanced degree and feel as well so I can choose ingredient feel. I'm gonna click on these pallets here and choose something like orange and the other one down below. It could be something like red. That's quite good. Now I can change. The angle is well off the shade. Um, I can never on the side like that, and I can actually go into the shape and make it a little bit bigger. Now, if I want the tax to over impose my shape, I can just simply go to my inspector under a range, having the shape selected, go to backwards. So I'm gonna go backwards a couple of times. And now my shape is behind my text so I can do that and actually doesn't really work very well, Biggers. The text is very dark, so I'm gonna just leave it like this for now. And I'm gonna search for another shape for my tech. So let's search for something like if I type the word tech on, nothing come up. So I'm gonna just remove that. I'm gonna search for something here in the left hand side about science and I'm gonna choose a satellite here. So I'm gonna try. I'm gonna drug that site of light hidden, and I'm gonna resize it. And by the way, you can also rotate the shape by holding down the command key and hover the cursor over any of thes white dots. And now I can just click and hold and rotate my image, and I can do the same thing here. For this blush, I get rotate, or you can use the inspector here. But I showed you before you have an option on a range to rotate your shape there as well. Anything else? Really? So I'm gonna go to the satellite and do the same. But if you want to use the command, he is probably easier. So if I want to know, change the color off my satellite and you go to style can Inspector and I could choose Ah, one of these colors here in my polit thanks. School to read and place it on the site. And these are just few shapes that you can choose from. And the beauty of this that they are all customizable. And I'm gonna show you in the next video how to do just that 20. Arranging shapes in a slide: Now, before we customize our shapes, I'm gonna also show you how to add some regular shapes as well. So I'm gonna move these old text and images down below just a little bit and I'm gonna go back to my shapes. Now I've got some basic shapes. He have got some tangle, some circles, some around it rectangles well, also have some lines as well. Lines got line arrows as well. They also have the option to use some connection line as well. I can actually make my own shape here. She's quite cool. And we also have an option on top here to dro weed a pen to as well. I'm gonna be showing you this in a future video part. For now, let's add a regular shape. So let's I want at this shape here, and I want to resize it all on introducing the drug. One of the white dots to resize the shape. I could also make the shape translucent. I can add some text. I can also change the collar to an image if I wanted to. So by going to the inspector here, I can go to call a feel and I can have great and fail and all the things you saw in the previous video. You can also do here a swell so advanced, good and feel image feel and advance image feel as well so I can go to color feel I'm gonna keep this a plane color and I'm gonna choose something a little bit darker. And if I want to make this trance Lucien on introducing click on this collar Palatinate to the quick selector. And I've got my color palette appearing here on my screen. And when you need to do simply change the opacity so I can change the opacity there to be a little bit more translucent. And you noticed this because if I drag this shape that say and I over imposed the image in the background, you will see that is translucent and I can actually have that as a reference to change the opacity of it. Let's say I wanna have it roughly like that. So after I choose my capacity, I can close the palate and I can place my, uh, shape there. If I want to add some text, I can either use a text that I've got here down below and have that on top. Now, if that is not on top, I can still go back to my arranged by clicking the shape, Go to a range in the Inspector and choose backwards to go backwards a few times until you see the old text coming above. Now these color works very well. Wait, art, but not very well with tech Stack is quite bright, so I'm gonna make that shape a little bit darker. So I'm gonna go into two style again. I'm gonna go to my call, Phil, and I'm gonna shoot something a bit darker. So that is not working very well with my art song are probably shoes and re size the shape and use it only for my tech trying to make something a little bit interesting here on I can make it like this and I can have it this way. And actually, these shape works very well with great and feels I'm gonna use great and feel I'm gonna change the angle to make it darker on the site and actually well, when I also have the control off the light because I only have two colors here. So instead I'm gonna choose advance great and feel And yeah, I can choose where the light started to become a more faded And I thought this light kind of cut through my shape And I can choose thes two green dots to move the light in a different directions If I move one of the two ways I gonna make that Ah, sexually big, brighter As you know, this is actually brighter And I can go here now in my inspector and I can change these two pointers to make one of the side darker than the other by just moving the Grady int and I can move the other one as well control that ingredient and make it almost very sharp and abrupt for other Wanna do that I want to make a very smooth So in this case, I'm gonna drug that shape to make it quite smooth. And I've got also these other pointer on top is another indicator in my inspector that let me also choose this muteness off the transition between the two colors. She's quite good, so you can spend a lot of time here trying to find the right way. But again, you have also a bunch of options down below here to change. The radiance can be centralized. It could be, Ah, angled. Like the way that we have it now. And if you want to know what these buttons do, just place the cursor over it, and it tells you exactly what they do. So I'm gonna leave it like this, and I will probably put the art at the top and tech trying to make things a little bit more interesting. I'm gonna probably change the text into text the color by going to Inspector and change it to a white. Okay, so and I'm gonna put the to the shapes closer to them, so you could be very creative here. Just spend some time and find your on inspiration by adding more shapes. The X video, Our show you out to make all these shapes creditable and other ways to manipulate shapes 21. Edit shapes and changing colours: in key knows. Now you have the ability to change the shape form by right clicking on the shape and do also things with it. I'm gonna show you how to do that in the shape that we just added before this for tangle that we have here. Now I've got all these white dots around. And of course, if I trying to change the shape, I only can change the size of it by dragging and these thoughts. But if I right click now, I've got an option to make that shape creditable. So if I do that now, my white dots have these red frame around him, and that allows me basically to move those points and basic create a new shape So I can actually make this coming down like this if I wanted to. I can also choose to have it on right on top. And if I hover the cursor over the shape, I also see this little white, um, circle that allows me to drag it and to create some around it form shapes that I can use this way. On the other, it's up to you how you want to do it, but you fuel toe, double click on the little circle in between, it becomes a little square, and that allows me to make that form a little bit more spiky energy. So I can do that as well. Perhaps I wanna have that sort of shape and I can move the square down here if I wanted to and again. And when I hover the cursor between this to red dots, I've got these rounded one and I can make that curve or curb on the other side If I wanna have a spiky and can double click on it. And I can make that spiky So you have a lot of ways to create your shapes and to manipulate them by using the edit able to. Now, I'm gonna just make this a little bit like this and I'm gonna problem make it slightly thinner. Let's see how it goes. I'm I wanna have it like this. See, on my one I have actually a zit was before, and I wanna have it like this on a spiky Now I can also make creditable my other shapes, not just the regular shape, so I can go to the satellite here I can right click on it and click the make creditable option. So that allows me to see all these little tiny dots. So what that means is I can actually move them and re size any of these shapes are gonna actually completely change the aspect off any of this, any of these shapes and over this design and make it my own so I can make it like this kind of mess it up, But I can actually do Kamanzi. Come on. Is that a couple of times just to undo it? Another thing you can do with this kind of shapes, you can also right click and break them apart. So if I do break apart, that allows me to actually now the select and then drag each individual element outside so I can make this, for instance, even longer. I can I can highlight a couple of shapes and Aiken duplicate them by you by using command E . And now I can have that a little bit longer, so I can be very, very, very creative here by just manipulating old it's shapes. I'm gonna show in examples. If I go into shape and I say I want to search for food shapes. Let's go into Assaidi's avocado and then I'm gonna add, let's say, a carrots and I'm gonna also add an apple. So let's see if I've got an apple here. Yeah, there we go, is there and I'm gonna also add a nice burger. Now, I can actually go to each individual shape. I can highlight them on, make them a little bit bigger and I can change. Of course, the color. Now, the cool thing is, I can make these shapes that say I'm gonna change that style that I could do So I'm gonna go to my, um Green to make it green That's true's a brighter green And my carrots When I choose a nor INGE When I go to my apple and then choose a red And for my burger I'm gonna shoes something like purple for now. So this is what you can do now I had no so right click on any of this and click aren't make them edible so I can actually change the shape off this to make for instance, the burger a little bit bigger so I can modify the burger the way I want I can modify it. My shape, my apple as well. To make it a little bit bigger, I can do that as well. So you got plenty off flexibility here in terms of modify your shapes. Now, in the next week, I'm gonna show you another cool way to combine shapes together and now to make them more interesting for years light. 22. Manipulating Shapes: in stage seven here. I'm gonna show you how to combine different shapes together and for that purpose, I just removed the background for now. Now I'm gonna just move the shapes on the side here. I'm gonna just ah, at the apple under burger together. And when I do that, I can actually highlight two shapes together. And if I go into the arrange area here on my inspector, I've got these options down below. I've got unite, intersect, subtract and exclude. So trying to ever look at this. So the 1st 1 allows me to glue the two shapes together, but I don't want to do that. So I'm gonna press commands that so the 2nd 1 is intersect. So that will only include the intersection. The subtract it will subtract one of the shapes to the other, and then we have exclude. So that will include two shapes together. It will make the intersection white or translucent, and I can actually add other shapes on top of it. So it's now I've got my carrots here, I can add it, and I can make it a little bit bigger. And I can even rotate by using command to do that. Now that I've got the burger and the apple together, I can actually add my carrots as well. I'm gonna go again into exclude. And now they're all together. I'm gonna add the avocado as well. And now what a highlight. Both object together, continues Exclude again. And I've got these lovely shape and I can move this around. We can make artwork here in keynotes just in few minutes by just doing this so I can just now go here and be very creative with this. So I showed you in the previous video how I can make these shape creditable. So if I right click here and I go to make creditable now I've got all these points that I can modify it and drag, and I can change the shape of Aiken do also things here. I can be very, very creative here and just again, the sky's the limit in terms off what's what you can do. But another thing you can do that quite fascinated about if I click away here to the select is by basically break all of these areas apart. So if I do that, if I want to change the collar off each individual element here. I cannot do it now. I can only change the whole lot. So if I'm going to style and I change, the color is going to change the color of the entire image. So in this case, yeah, I want to just right click and separate all these elements I'm gonna go into break apart. So if I do that now, all these elements are old, separate and click away to de select. And that's I want to make the apple rat. I can just click on the apple and I can choose the polity on top. We can go to the color, feel it doesn't matter between you choose. I can go to my carrot here and I can choose an orange. I can go to the collar polity, a quick selector in click orange And I can do the same for the remaining part of my carrot . And I can do the same thing for the burger. So you got the gist of it. Now you can actually go here and be, um, super creative in terms off. What? The ad. I can go to the polity here, actually. Next to the quick selector, and I can choose something more brownish for that. Now, if I want to make the bottom of the same as the top, I can actually choose the eyedropper here on my color palette so I can click on that. And now I can clone a color by just going to the top. And now the bottom is the same. And now I want to also add a nice brown to my, um, meet here. So I'm gonna go into a brown collar. Perhaps I wanna have it slightly darker on. Then I want to have that on top. We choose my tomato, I believe ketchup. So as you can see, I can change the color over each individual element so I can go on for hours here. But now you got the gist of it. Now you can actually create your own artwork and your own shapes and edit them and manipulate them the way you want. And again, if you go to shape and you decide you want to play around we the basics. You can also do this as well by just combine them together. Now I can also combine normal shapes and object. For instance, if I want to make a shape such as this, I can combine these shape weighed, Let's say, these Google, Kristen's Aiken drug, the Google down. I could make a bigger I can also go to my inspector here, and I can have the border for that so I can go the border. I can have a line around my Google, and then I can over impose this. I can have the shape in a different color, and I can now highlight both. Together, I can go to the arrange in my inspector, and I can choose something like exclude to make the sort off logo shapes. You can make shapes and logos just by playing around with shapes and with the inspector. 23. Duplicate and arranging shapes: Now, let's carry on with this light. I'm gonna just make sure that we rectify some of the stuff that I was experimenting before . So first of all, I'm gonna highlight all of these shapes that I've created before, and I'm gonna group them together, so and now resize them easily and move them on a side. I can do the same thing with this, Not is already a group, which is fine. And I can just move it around and I could have that on the site. Now for these shapes here, there's regular shape that we were manipulating before. I'm going to just make sure that we delete that. So I'm gonna go to shape, and I'm gonna choose a narrow So, Elena, at the end, I'm gonna drug one of the corners, and I'm gonna make it slightly thicker. And I'm gonna go into this legal a grain dots on the side to make that a little bigger, higher and to kind of announced the shape a little bit more. Okay. And I'm gonna make this. It's like, longer now. I can also make that going backwards a few times in a combat quartz, aka actually likely come back. So go is gonna go straight in the back because I don't have any background yet to deal with . Now I can create something on the other side so I can go to shape and I can use a normal shape. I can place the shape on the other side. And now that we know how to manipulate the shape, how to make the shape edible, Um, we can also do that here so I can actually right click and go to make creditable. So if I hover the cursor over one of these angles, I can use that to make a curved or I can actually double click to make as a square. And now I've got this nice, pointy square so I can do things like this. So now that I modified that, I can click away and click inside again And now I can actually put it closer to my arrow And I can make that a little bit better by right clicking and going to mate valuable. And I'm gonna make it slightly more parallel to my arrow I'm gonna click away to save and then I'm gonna change the collar on my shape by going to the quick selector and I make a little bit darker. And I can also add some text in it so I can go here and double click and start to type my text. I can also add a text box and over imposed. My shape is really up to you how you want to use it, Unless it really depends how much tax you want, Teoh pace there. Now, if I want to basically copy and paste this Aiken, just highlight it. I like the arrow as well. And I can do Come on d to duplicate that and to place this down again. Duca Mandy again to do this as well so you can manipulate shapes once, and then you can duplicate them by just using this method. Now, I'm going to just make sure that the our there down below doesn't over impose my shape that I've got this. I'm gonna go to arrange. I'm gonna top on backwards a couple times until I see my shapes and then I can bring them back here so they can have that on the side and I can have on the site, and I can actually put in front by just selecting men in using front. So if I'm going too fast on this video, just make sure you re watch it. But this is the kind of way to move around your shapes and create your own art and your own slides. I like the whole three shapes together and moved them down so they kind of sin be centered on my slight could move thes shapes again will be more on and of the satellite actually group together again. I can move easily around, and the arrow as well to centralize my shapes can actually make it slightly closer to each other. So play a little bit more with this light and see if you can find some inspiration. 24. Shapes and Connection lines: Now, if you to connect shapes together keynote as a new feature that allows you to do just that , I'm gonna show you this in a moment. Now the first thing we're gonna do is creating a new slightly gonna go into and slide on. We're gonna add a bullet list even though we know going to create a list. We're gonna choose this as our starting point. Now we're gonna top something. It's up. I'm gonna choose this when a type marketing funnel and I resize that by just clicking on the outside of the box just to make slightly smaller and then we're gonna create our shape . So I'm gonna go into shape on top here. I'm gonna choose a normal square shapes and I'm gonna just resize it by dragging one of the white dots on. I'm gonna just duplicate now by using command D or you can right click and duplicate same thing and I'm gonna create a bunch of them and with the guidelines, I can just move them and make sure they are in the same distance. Now I'm gonna highlight them all and duplicate them. Come on, D. And now I've got another bunch here and again duplicate to another to have them the bunch here as well. So I'm gonna just write down a couple of stuff. If I want to connect two or more shapes together or inclusive, we go to shape again on the first through on the basic. I've got a line, of course, a narrow and also have a connection line. So that's what I'm gonna do. Gonna drag that into my slide. Now, I'm gonna drag one of these two white dots in one of my shape the 1st 1 here. As you can see, a snaps automatically in the 2nd 1 down here. Now, if it's curved where you need to do simple double click on the green dot to make a straight And if I want to make it shorter I dragged green dots either above or below until my line is shorten. Now, I cannot actually copy and paste this between the shape I would have to create one by one. For now, when I go to shape again, I'm gonna click on that and I'm gonna do the same thing on a drag the white dots and tow one shape and the other one to the other one down below. So now I can double click again. And I couldn't drug the green dot to make a shorter. I'm gonna do the same thing from at this one to this one. So I'm gonna go back to shape, add that shape again, drag that to connect to one shape and to connect the other one. And I can double click on the green to make it a little bit or straighter. Perfect. Now, another thing I want to do. I want to change the thickness off this. Just going to my inspector under former tstyle. I can just go into stroke and make that slightly thicker. How? It's a probably five point who would do and the fact that the bag on it slightly darker I'm gonna make the line a white collar. Go to the quick selector on Gonna click on White, the same thing for the rest So I can do that five. And I'm gonna click on white. So if you have to do this for all of your shapes and might take you some time, so one of the way would be selecting what you want and then copy it as a style of Before we do that, I'm going to change the end point. So I got in the inspector two different and points. I'm gonna choose the one on the right. So I've got a nice error there. Looks great. So I couldn't do the same thing for the rest. So I can actually copy this as my style by clicking on it and then going to form it. And I wont option to copy style s so I can click on that mingles with 2nd 1 and I can go to format and do paste style. And I can do the things the same thing for the 3rd 1 Go to format and pay style so I can do this for all of them. But it's also a way to save your style for future reference here on the right hand side of my inspector. So on the former style, I've got thes line styles which are the default one. But I click on this arrow here on the right on the left. I actually have an option to add my own style. So that's what I'm gonna do now when I click on one of these arrow I'm gonna click on plus , so that will add my style there. So be careful when you do that, because sometimes he the directions might change in this case have changed here. So I'm gonna go into the endpoint, but a press done and I'm gonna choose the other one to go to the opposite direction. So I'm gonna just do the rest for now. And I'm gonna just forceful worthies part. Now that I've done all my connection, I can just highlight them all with command always shift. Gonna make sure that I do that. So I've got them alter acted, and I'm gonna go into my style and then click on the first slide race eight again. Make sure that the directions are correct, So some of them might be different. So I'm gonna just change quickly, some of them in my inspector. And again, I got the same thing for this, too, and I've got my lines when I got connection lines. What that means is when I move one of my box, the connection will stay there and I could do the same thing for any other shape here on my presentation, which is quite handy. Not gonna centralize Theis sequence by highlighting everything and moving it just right in the middle off my slight. Perfect. So this is the way to create connection lines and how to also create your styles by saving them into the inspector here on the right hand side. 25. Adding Hyperlinks to your slides: we'll also be able to create hyperlinks within our presentation. So I'm gonna go into add slide here on the top left, and I'm gonna choose the chapter. Slight seconds like here, going on, double click on here to add it. And I'm gonna just name this contact us just click away and resize that just to make it slightly smaller. I'm gonna go to my text inspector. I'm gonna move that down to, let's say 70. That would do perfect and anger at the new shape. Now that we know I'll do it, I'm gonna add one wait a rounded rectangle just to keep consistency with the rest of my slide. And I'm gonna make this a little bit bigger here, and I'm gonna type some text dates. I don't need to necessarily add eight separate text box with this, but I can actually double click on it. And I can type an email info at May gene media dot com And as soon as I click away, what happened is that he not will automatically make an appealing. And I know there's this because I've got my email underlined and when I hover the cursor over it, I've got this little hand. I couldn't as well. So at the moment that I am under my editor, I could just click on it and I can see how to display my email. So I've got here an option to rename that if I want to display it differently and I can link it to my email if I wanted to or toe a webpage or toe another slide. So this is the way to connect your slide. And also you have an option to exit the slide show as well. Tom Below here, I've got the email itself, so I'm gonna leave it as it is. I can also make sure that when they click on it, the subject will be also customize. I can also do that. So I know exactly what that email comes from. In this case, Young gonna leave it as is, and I'm gonna click away. And now my email hyperlink is working Fine. So if I click on it, I can click on compose email not gonna click on now, but this one a link to my apple mail. I can also add websites as well. So that's a I'm gonna go down here when I just pressed return a couple of times and that's saying we're not right here, my jean media dot com That's my website. So for a website, just click away and again it does the same thing so I can click on it. And this we automatically be linked to a webpage. And I can also show that as major me to come and as a link I can actually make sure that it says http s for slash twice perfect. And I can also test these either linked by getting on open link. So if I do it, that now is gonna go to these website Perfect. So I'm gonna close this for now. Now, I can also add Ieper links to normal text So this you're just an exception. So when you write an email address, if you write a website that will automatically recognize that as a hyperlink. But what about I just add my own text down below here, like for a telephone number, for instance, say I wanna right this telephone number, by the way, this is just made up so I can actually highlight whatever I want and I can right click on it, and I can add a link here, so I've got an option to add it to another slide. So when I click on A is gonna jump into another slide or to a website or to an email So it's a When I go into a website, I'm gonna click on that. And there is going to give me an option to type the link off the website, so I'm gonna just leave it blank for now, But this is the way to create hyperlinks into your keynote presentation. 26. Draw your shapes with the Pen Tool: now adding shapes into your light is easy enough. And also, you know how to edit them by right clicking on them and use make them edibles for Click on that and I right click on the shape I can make the auditable Teoh enable these dots That allows me to, you know, reshape that in a different form. But what about I want to make my own shape. I can do that with a pen tool available now in Kino. So if I just get rid of that shape, I'm gonna go back to my shape, battle on top. And if you look at the top right corner, have got my pen to So if I click on that, so you need to do is simply just click. And now it will create one point. And if I press again into different distances, different places, I can start, actually make my own unique shape. And again, these are all very edgy. But what about when I make I want to close the shape again? Just close it like this to close the loop. And now if I hover the cursor over any of these lines, you'll notice I've got these white dots that appears in the middle of each line. And if I just click and drug is gonna make that either a semi circle like a curve shape, which is quite nice, or I can actually double click on that to make it edgy. So now I can just create edgy, form, edgy lines. I can do that as well, to make the as edgy line why I can double click to go back to the curve. Other thing I can do is I can call her the inside of this shape for Click Away to save it and click again in on Any off the line. I can go into my inspector on the former style, and I can choose any of these preset colors to apply the color to it. I can go to call, feel and do my changing here. If I wanted to organ goto border and make a line border him, make that thicker. Now you know how to do it. If I want to be more creative here, I can actually double click again and amend my shape with something else. I can even right click now and I've got an option to divide the path. So if I want to carry on working on their shape for click on that now it looks like something curved became like straight again. But if I move where I right click, you notice that the path there has been interrupted has been open. And now I can just reshape that site to make another sort of form. And when I'm ready to close it, I can right click anywhere here on this black line and I can click on close path and that will close the path with another curvy shape. But again, I can actually move it around to reshape it like it looks like an alien had there, but yes, so you can actually remove it. You can reorganize the lines. You can double click on them to make it edgy. So this is the sort of things you can do now in keynote. And then once you've finished, you can click away to save it. You can move it around. You can rotate from the edge here all your borders, by using command and rotated. You can duplicate that as well. Um, and you can even, you know, do stuff like revert or flip it by going to the inspector under a range and use something like the rotate or the flip. So I've got here an option to flip it next to it so I can sleep them like this. Um, I can read, Rotate them again, would come on a prefer command when I rotate stuff and I can make some sort of ah, you know, artistic look looks like a profile off a woman over, like, over face there. You just need to experiment really and find your own shape. And perhaps you can create your own logo for your presentation and for anything else, really. So this is the way to manage your shapes and to draw your shape using the pen tool. 27. Tables and Charts : Now, if you need to represent some data into rows and columns, Kino provides some tables that we can add to us lights. So we're gonna create a new slides by going to D ed Slide button on top left. I'm gonna choose the blank section here, so we want to represent our team within our business into a table. So that's what we're gonna create now. So I'm gonna call this. I was Tim. Now we're gonna at our table by going to the menu bar on insert and see table here, and we got a full, different kind of table. We have Heathers, basic, plain and sums. But I can also access to this by going to the toolbar, which I prefer. And the reason why I like this is because I want to click on the pattern gives me also the different designs for click on the arrows Here in sideways, I can actually click and find out all the other designs with different colors, so you might choose the one that is closer to your style. And in this case here, I'm gonna choose the green one, so I don't need to do any sums and I'm not really sure if I'm gonna need a d had a rose for now. So I'm gonna click a plane and I can still change the format later on. So I'm gonna click on that So the table takes over my slide by Aiken Steel Change the size by using these handles here at the bottom in the side here. So just drag one of these. Hover the cursor over one of this When you see the two arrows, cursor, weaken, drag and resize so I can actually make it a very tall or very wide is really up to you, so make it slightly smaller. You see, Also the the measurements next to my cursor is when I change is so this worked with point. But you can change that unit into inches or centimeters on the the keynote preferences here . So if I go to preferences, you have an option to change the unit on the rulers and you have a ruler. Units here on the points you can change with inches or in centimeters is up to you. So I'm gonna leave it in points now and I'm gonna close it for now. Now, After you resize your table. You can move the table anywhere from the inside, drag it to whatever position you like. I'm going to just make this a little bit bigger. So I need four columns and again when I want to change the number of columns and rows, all I need to do simply hover the cursor over these numbers or these lectures on top. As you notice. When I do there, a little arrow next to the number comes up or next to the letter comes up, and when I do there and I click on, it is going to give me an option to add, for instance, other column before or after. So when I have an extra column ad column before or after, which is normal columns, or to delete the column or to fit the with we the content, which is quite good, I can go here and the broken the same thing. I can add a rule above and below. I wanted to I want to delete a row. I can just click on Delete Row, and now the table would stay the same size. But now I've got bigger cells but actually need another one so I can go. You had the bottom and I can click on Add row below and I got five again. So when you click on a sale, you can click just once and start to type whatever you want type management. So if a press the tab key is gonna jump into the second cell, I'm gonna fill up this later. But now you know that you can actually type and jump into the different cells using the top key Now can also change the height off my table by clicking on this little circle on the top left. When I do that is gonna show me the handles again. And I can drag one of these handles to make it a little bit smaller If I wanted to and I could even change the row and the column with as well so I can just go into the road and you're gonna hover the cursor over any of these numbers between the line separator I've got Now this little two arrows with a bar here. If I click and hold, Aiken dragged out to change the height off my row, and I couldn't do the same with the columns. I can go in between the two columns and track that to change the with. Now, in the following video, I'm gonna show you how to change the format, and I'm gonna feel up this as well. 28. Changing Table Format: okay, After inserting all the data into the table, we're gonna take care off the former now. And by the way, this is a slide that I want to actually move into the fourth position because we have our contact slide there. So I'm gonna drag that all the way to the top here and now. I've got that in the four position and I got my contact us. Okay, Perfect. So I'm gonna click anywhere inside the table. And then now I can change the rose by just going between the numbers. I can just change that. I can make, for instance, one of the road a little bit. Why, that just fit de text to be in one line, possibly, and then struck the other ones as well. Now I'm going to change the with off more than one column in the same time by just dragging the letters or the numbers and select them. So, for instance, if I want to make all these four columns change at the same time we're going to do is simply click on the first letter, hold the miles down and drug to highlight the mall, and I can go to any of this separator and I can drag that. As you can see now is changing the columns. Yeah, at the same time. So I can do that as well. And I could do the same here on the roads. If I highlight two rows together and I go to the end of that is gonna change the two rows at the same time. If I want to change only one role, I just click on one row on Lee and I moved that role without affecting the rest. So you can actually make adjustment this way. I can highlight the entire roles here and move them at the same time just to have a little bit off proportions. Perhaps I wanna have the had a little bit higher. Perfect. So now if I want to change, for instance, the rope here, the first row orange losing to click on number one here on the number to highlight the entire row. And now I can go to my inspector here on the right hand side on the table. And as you can see, I've got my styles here on top available so I can click on any of these styles to change the color, but I need to make the first row here, my hetero. So if I click on the little arrow next to the number I can add, had a row above or below, I'm gonna just edit above. And now I condone drunk all of this. I can actually copy and paste this text in the top row. So if I want to do that, I've been just highlight all of these cells together. And then I dragged him on top. And now that on top Now I need to readjust things here. So I'm gonna get rid of the road number two by clicking on the arrow and click on delete. And now I can just drank between the one and two to make the first roll a little bit higher and the second row as well. So I'm just re kind of adjusting a little bit my text so that if the text is too big in my my table, willing to do simply click on the circle on the top left, so that will highlight the entire table. And now I can go into my inspector on the text and here I can change the text off all my table by just going to the font section here and change it to a different size so I can actually resize the whole table just once. So let's say I want to keep it 28. That would do on. I'm gonna much just stretch the table to make a little bit bigger in that sense. So I'm gonna click away just to see how it looks. It looks pretty good. So I can actually play around with the text a little bit. But now you know how to manage your data and changing the aspect off your table by just using the inspector. If I want to change the collar off my head to a different one, I can just go to the row number one click on that to highlight the old row, and then I can go to my sell. And now I've got an option to change the color by going to feel so I can click on the little triangle next to feel, and I can change that to a different color. I'm gonna click on the quick selector here. I'm gonna choose a color from here so it could be something pink or something red orange, or I can click on the palate next to my quick selector. And I've got this color palette that I could move here. And I can just change the color from here to find the column that suit me so I can just go and probably leave it around orange quite like the orange call that I picked before. Um oh, I can just grab any color from my slight and clone it so I can go to my eye dropper here, down below. And I can just point a color that I want to clone for, since I want to cologne this sort of, uh, bluish color. So I'm gonna click on that, and that will change my heather. So I'm gonna close these color palette. So I've got now a the stable like this. I can actually change even more if I go back again into the orange. Quite like actually the orange that we found before, like reddish orange. Quite nice as a good contrast. And again, if I want to save this as my style, I can go to table on my inspector and I can scroll here using this arrows and I can just press the plus button toe. Add this style into the table styles so I can choose that anytime I want if I want to add any other table in my presentation. 29. Saving table Styles: So let's make some other adjustments on the table before we carry on adding charts. Not gonna click within the table and as you know, is I've got my Heather Rowe here so I could also create heather rows and columns by using the inspector here under these sections, others and footed. So I can actually go here, select the column that I want to make as, ah Heather column. And then I can go into the Heathers here, click on that little number and make that as my Heather column. Now the need to do is now, so I'm gonna just press zero. But I could have done that the same way on my row. I could have just gone here into my heather rope, and then I would have choose our many I wanted so we could do that as well. Or you can do the same for the sums. I wanna have the last one to be the sums. I can highlight that as well, but I'm gonna go back when I was So let's say I want to change the line in between my table side that too dark here. So what are you going to do. I'm gonna select the entire table again on the circle on top Left that I'm gonna go into my cell. The inspector. Now, I've got an option here on the border, and I can change the border collar and thickness as well. In this case, I want to change each individual cells lines. So I'm gonna click on the third. I can hear that will highlight all of my lines and borders within my table. And, you know, I can choose a different color so I can go to the quick selector here I can choose for isn't something that is brighter. Let's say you're white and I can click away to see how it looks. Looks pretty good but I say I want to, um, mess about it will be more and say I'm going to go into a yellow and be off course. Be sure that you click. Click on the right button first, and then you can change a color and then it click away and you have that yellow, which it doesn't look very nice. So I'm gonna go back to the white on a click on that first to highlight all of my cells not go to white. I'm going to change the point thickness and make it slightly thicker. Say two point. That looks pretty good. So I'm gonna leave it like this for now. But I get any any time you want to interact with any objects, including charts and tables, or into this, simply click anywhere within the object you wanna modify, and then the inspector will show you the different options that you can change in the building different parameters as well. So after we happy with the way the table looks, we can actually save this now as our style again. So we're gonna go into the inspector. You click on the arrow here on the site, and we're gonna click on the plus here to add our new style. So this is our new style with the new formatting. Now, if you want to get rid of one of the style he had to say When I get rid the 1st 1 you can right click and delete that style. So we have the good one. Now that takes place in the first position going forward, we're gonna add some charts, and that is gonna happen. The next video 30. Adding 2D Charts: when you need to represent certain data to an audience, Sometimes it's best to do it using charts rather than have a table full of numbers. I don't mean anything for the majority of people. So it would be good to have visual representation, all your data that can be achieved by using charts. So that's what we're gonna create. Now, if you are following up just using the keynote tables and charts one or three, you should be able to see this slide number four where our table is will be created in the previous lesson. We're gonna go into the top left here. I'm gonna add a new slide. We're gonna go to Blank to Section and we're gonna type here. Any show costs. Now we're gonna add a new chart so we could do that a couple of ways. You can go to the menu on top on the insert when we can go to charts as you notice. Of course, some to teach arts and three D charts and also interactive ones as well. But I can go to my toolbar, which I prefer. It's more visual. I'm gonna click on chart and you have got a list of all different charts of Gago Bar charts have got a pie charts and also other ones down below. I also have the three D version of them and the interactive as well We'll be gonna cover later on. So I'm gonna go to two D. And you know, I can choose a different style by just clicking on the error next to here in the page. And I can actually see different color combinations so I can go through all of them if I like, and I choose the one that sort of fit my design. Let's go for a that school for this one here. So I'm gonna go into a pie chart. So and then I've got this nice, colorful pie chart. I can move it around by just clicking within it. I can change the size by moving the handles same way we did with the table. Weaken do it charts. Now the number looks quite big, so we can actually change that later. But for now what we can do, we can start to change this values by going to add a chart data. So when I do that, I've got these other floating window popping up with all these values on the stable. So I can actually change this with the actual data that I want to represent. For instance, I might want to have. So if you don't need any other data, are you actually delete this columns, which are represented by this color on top, by just clicking on the arrow next to it and you can get rid of it. You can also, of course, insert column before and after, like you do in the chart. But in this case, we don't need that column gonna delete that. We're going to the same thing for the last one. And now our chart looks live it more clear, and we just are four data. I'm gonna close the charts for now. And by the way, you can also change the columns representation to representation. You might wanna have rose that you want to represent into a charts so you can switch the view into the role of you. In this case, we only have columns. We're gonna go back to columns. I'm gonna click on the red Too close. I could still go back there any time. If I want to change the aspect off the charts. I can do that on my inspector. But we do know that later on the only thing I want to show you now is you can actually have a title for your charts. So you know that is gonna come up with the title or with a legend. So the legend that will show you exactly what these colors represent, So that would be quite useful, toe have. I'm gonna live that ticked, and I move basically the charge, slip it down and move the legend a little bit up. So I can also resize that this is text box and I can make it bigger or smaller so I can do that. I can make a slightly bigger if I want to change the size off my A legend. I can go into the inspector style and change the font style toe a smaller font. And I can also resize it as well and drag that to make it a little bit smaller, centralize it, using the guidelines. And now my charts will move together. We the legend. So if you see this, if you moving the charts and the legend moves together, and you want to only move the legend separate or into the simple just click away, click on the legend on Lee and then trying to resize it slightly. When you do that, the legend will be temporarily separated from the charts so you can move it around. Say, you want to write about that. Probably just a little bit down there, and I moved the charts up a little bit. 31. Adding 3D Charts: Let's say I want to change now the format off my chart. So I'm gonna kick on the chart. You know, my inspector here at the bottom on the chart, I've got chart type, so I can click on that, and it's a sort of having a too deep I I'm gonna have a three d pie so I can do that as well. So I got this nice three D representation off my chart, and I can move this little icon here in the middle of the chart to change the angle so I can move that new direction. I can even go into the inspector. He have got an option for three D scene. If you don't see that, you need to just click on them the triangle next to it. And that allows me to change the charts that to make it a little bit thicker, I can also show the Beatles if I want to, to make it like more separate between the different values. And again I get moving around a bit more and I can even change the caller. The charts collar by clicking on that pallet and choosing the different colors combination , even images or texture is really up to you How you want to do it. So I'm gonna leave it this as it is, I'm gonna click away to see how it looks. It looks pretty good. So I can actually leave it like this. And if I want to do any further adjustment again, I can go into my charts here. I can change a different color combination, top the front and on the wedges Here. I've got an option to change the the value within the charts. For instance, off my wanna have data points names in it instead off the values. I can't take the value and have those instead. So I wouldn't need my legend in that case. But in this case, I want to just leave the value, get rid of data point names. I can also have the label option the distance from the center so I can move that slider to move the text around by chart and also have the watch position. I could move that as well to make it separate. If I want to do that, I can do that, and rotation angle will change the angle off my charts for want to change it in a different position. I can do that from here. In the next video, I'm gonna show you how to deal with data and how to manage you, Inspector, and change in different parameters in the chart. 32. Working with chart data: Now let's work with another chart. The interactive charts there were gonna add now in the next slight. So we're gonna go into the ad slide. And by the way, if you following up its tables and charts of one or four So when I click on add slide here and when I choose a blank to section again and now we're gonna cool it this five year projections, click away. I'm gonna go to charts here on my toolbar and I've got to d charge three D charts and interactive. I'm gonna add an interactive charts this when the 1st 1 would do. And now we need to resize our charts. We're gonna go into any of these handles. I'm gonna drug it to make it smaller on. I'm gonna make it a little bit Tuller here, and I'm gonna just centralized the title with the charts. Perfect for the interactive charts as this'll either down below. That allows me to basically click on a different section who kind of state to see the different value. So perhaps you want to represent five year projection and you might wanna have that that changes throughout the years and all the different parameters. There actually f some sort of a progression. So now we can actually change the data by clicking on any charts data. And as we did before with the pie chart, we're gonna do it here as well. So instead of having the region one to region four, we're gonna have year 1 to 4. And also, we're gonna change the data here, and I'm gonna fast forward these section while I'm changing the data. No, If I want to delete the other column here, I can go on top here and click on little era. I'm gonna delete that column. We try the need, and now I'm gonna just change the value here. So these values should be like in thousands off dollars. Eso at the moment is just the number of playing number, which doesn't mean anything, really. So I'm gonna change this as well. Cool. Now that we change them all, we can close this for my thinking on the red button. And now, if you want to make any other changes in my charts, I can go to my inspector, make sure you select your charts first of all, by clicking on it and Then on the Inspector here you have the section chart where you can change the color combination. You can also add title or the legend. But in this case, the legend is already down here, so we don't really need it. Another option is to change the chart front as well. And I can also change quickly by using this button to make the font bigger or smaller. The chart color, of course, and interactive charts here down below allows me to basically change things like the data set name, which is this case is the gross seven. You're down below here, so it's sort of having a here. I wanna have it above so I can actually go here in the spectre instead of living in below again, click on above, which looks much better. It also gives me a little bit more space between the slider and the chart itself. So other things that I can change here is the first since the aspect of my cornice years around the corners of my charts. I can make it very rounded. Let's say like this or I'm gonna leave it for the moment. Very edgy. Working. Click on outside corners. Only if I take that box and I move this light on top only makes the top edges around it. So you can do that as well. I'm gonna leave it as before. Nice is bike. You know, another thing you can change here is the gaps, so I can change the gap in between the bars. So it's really up to you how you wanna have it. I'm gonna leave it as 10% between sets as well, so you can make it. Um Why Did or narrow? You can also change the background and border style so I can actually have that background change as well. With carla feel great and feel. And the usual that we sold before swell gonna leave it as not background and the chart type . Of course, the bottom here can change the chart type with a different one. So I'm I wanna have, for instance, and instead of interactive column, I wanna have interactive bar so I can click on that and that will change it this way and also have others here as well interactive scatter and interactive bubbles. I'm gonna leave it as column for now, and I'm gonna go into access here on top of my inspector. Now, I've got an option to change the value. Why an X? So the very Y allows me to actually add something like access, name. If I want to have the name appearing there on top, I can also have access line to kind of mark the line as my access and other parameters here , you can actually explore on your own time by the one that we want. A change is actually the value here on the site. So instead of having just a number, we want toe probably have the the value in dollars in currency. So we're gonna go into numbers there, we're gonna changes to currency. So now we have the currency appearing. We don't really needed decimals after the comma, So we're gonna just to get rid of that by bringing it to zero. Gonna leave thousands separator as is. And I'm gonna leave British pound because I'm in England, so I can actually use that. You can use dollars as well. You can just click concurrency and you can have a little different currencies around the world. Other things you can do here is the reference lines theme measure. Great lines of minor, great lines. Thes are old stuff that is purely graphic. So it's up to you to go here and change the the way they aspect up your off your chart, And I can go to also do category acts at the top, and things I can do here, for instance, is to change the way the name the text look like here at the moment is fine, because only kind of represents the year. So it's kind of short and nice, but I might wanna have for since the label angle different, I'm I want to go into there and, for instance, on the left vertical. Or perhaps I wanna have a diagonal on the right diagonal, right, vertical. It's really up to your left diagonal. So in this case, I'm gonna leave it as a horizontal, and I can also have great lines that allows me to change the Greek lines in around my chart . In this case, I don't need it. Any old seven option to change the tick marks on the serious we can actually change and add some numbers of currency directly on the charts. If you want to make that very visual. But of course, we have the value here on the left inside, so we don't really need to have that in there. So I'm gonna just go back into none, and I'm gonna go back to charts so I can go back any time to my value charts by going to any charts, data and do the changes here. So now if I click on the slide it down below now I see I can click and see the different changes throughout the year. And also, I can see the Grass Avenue. Yeah. 123 and four. And, of course, the procreation cost and the net profit again. You can change these parameters as you like. And again these value adjust the representative on Lee. So it just gives you an idea how to represent your charts using the interactive charts. Slider. I actually forgot to add the year number five on Google to any chart when I add my ear number five and I'm gonna put some parameters there as well, and I'm gonna click on right button to close. And now I've got my five year projection. So now you know how to add charts and interactive charts into yours lights, and you can come back and change the value if the value changes throughout the year. But just going to the inspector and do your changes that. 33. Working with Graphics and Media: now charts and tables are fantastic for representing your data in presentations. What about images? Now, we Edison images before in our first chapter, But we're not adding some images now in some off my existing slide here. Now, if you are following up, just opened the first file there, which is the ant Graphics and Media 001 And after you open it up, the seconds light is our area or interest, meaning at some images here on dry hand side. So we're gonna go into the media button here on top. By going there, you have an option to access to your photo library also to your image gallery. If you want to add that into your slight, that allows you to have multiple photos in one place. We also have an option to add movies or music. We've been record audio as well. We also have an option to browse our finder by clicking on shoes so I can do that as well. Now got access to my far library from you. And by the way, you can also insert followed by going to the Manu Bhai on top and going to choose to add a new photo. Now I'm gonna go into media, and I'm gonna pick on photos the access to my photo library as well as my music library, iTunes on my movies. I'm gonna make this a slightly bigger just to see you to be more photos. So I want to add, uh, art in Tech. So I'm gonna search for an image that kind of suits that in that case at these images gonna drag and drop it. The image takes the entire slight what we can do. We can just close our windows here and every size by drug in the handles, and we can make the pictures, Mona. Now we're going to make it small enough that you can feed it there. Now, if I want to get rid of an area off the image, you can double click on the image. And then once the handles become black, now you can drive one of them to resize it with the crop it so I can crop the image that this if I finish second click, can't done or I can click anywhere on screen to save it so a narc and reposition it using the guidelines. I'm gonna go back to media and I'm gonna click on photos again. Not gonna add my elf and diet section here. We're gonna go on top. You were gonna suit search for another image? Well, I'm probably going to choose, uh, days in mid here and again, I'm gonna close my media browser, and I'm gonna just resize that I'm going to reposition it, double click on it to crop it. So some images might not have the same aspect ratio, but you can just go here and cropping Lucky Condon. And now I can resize it like the other one. And I can use the guidelines just to make them exactly the same with and they are pretty much now line perfect. And now I'm gonna have my that image gonna go to media again photos and for my weapon, Social, something like that. And I could even drug in this way. Now again, I'm gonna close the bottle library there. I'm gonna just resize my picture on again. Double click. I'm gonna crop that Not rest done. And now I can resize it and she not will constrain The proportion will keep the proportion of my photo without stretching it. And by the way, if you want to stretch the proportional unique, do it simply go to the inspector so you can change that. Under arrange in a range, you have an option on the size to constrain proportions of antique. That box. Now the picture will be stretchable, so but I don't want to do that for these images. I'm gonna click on constraint proportion just to keep it as it was on. I'm gonna just leave it there. So this is the way to add your images into slide. Very simply. You know, next week I'm gonna show you how to make your life more exciting with other ways to add images in. 34. Modifying image styles: okay, now that we added our images in, let's change some of the aspect off them to make them look a little bit more interesting. So I can click on the 1st 1 here, and I can go to my inspector on the right hand side, on the style. You have got bunch of options. One of them is to change the image style, of course, on presets here on top. But I can choose from so but get on one of these. This gives me the sort of reflection on the picture. Another one gives me this nice background drop shadow. I also have other ones with some black frame white frame with this nice little frame white frame, whether it's kind of true, tri dimensional look of it. So I can go also on the border here, and it can change the frame or my aunt go to line, for instance, and I can change the framed to be, for instance, in a straight line or dotted line. I can even change the color of it. You can go to something like yellow. Well, if I want to keep consistency with the rest of the slide, I can actually make it black. And I can change the point the thickness by just going that and change it like this so I could do that and I could do the same thing for the rest. So once you apply the frame for one of your images triggered the next image and go to border and click online, it will automatically remember the first settings. Just clever. So I'm gonna go to the 3rd 1 as well. Don't do the same thing. So this is one of the way you can add frames. Of course, you can actually add your own style. If you like this style and you want to change it, I can go to the image styles here and again and click on the arrow on the right hand side and I can click on the plus to add my style there. So I don't have to remember what points are used. What? Cholera used etcetera. Everything is saved under my style. 35. Adding Image Placeholders: Okay, now it is time to add another bunch of images into another of our slight. If you're following up is the file called Add Graphics and Media 002 So if I click on my third after my fourth slide here on the site, we actually had a d stable a few lectures back, So I'm gonna just move it these on the site and I could actually have a bunch of images here now I could actually use now something called in which placeholder. There's something we covered at the very beginning when we were creating our master slides and creating our own things. If you haven't watched those videos, please go back and wash them. Now what we need to loose essentially is to add an image or a bunch of images here on the site. They can go to media, you can go to photo, and I can add a bunch of image from here. So let's say I from what I have an image like this is still not sure what you might want to add, but I know how the format is going to be, what the size is going to be, etcetera So I'm gonna close this for now, and I'm gonna resize There's a huge image to make it slightly smaller. Now, I know these same it isn't has nothing to do with the actual slide here, but I want a basically addict bunch of photos off the team. So at the moment, I'm just basically setting up the stage before adding images. So you can do that as well. If you don't have the photos yet, you can still kind of set up the layout. Now I'm gonna duplicate these for I'm gonna just do right click and duplicate. You can just use a shortcut to come on D and then I'm gonna make it just the same down below. Now, if I want to drug images in easily I can actually make this as an image holder so I can go into one of these. And by the way, I'm gonna highlight both because I want both to be in much placeholder and I'm gonna go into my form. But at the top of my men, you are under advanced. I've got an option to define that as a media place. Hold up. I'm gonna do that. Now they both have this little symbol on the site, so that allows me to basically click on it and choose another image to replace the existing one. Or I can literally go into any off my folders on my desktop from Just move my presentation on the side and I can go to the exercise files and I go to my Margit, one of my modules so I can actually go into my pictures, and you can drag any of your images in. So let's say if I want to drag this image in and drag it and literal drop it in when you see this little blue frame around the place, all that means that that picture is going to take place and is going to retain the sizes that I set for my place older. So I don't wanna let go now. And as you can see, the picture take place without me having to deal with framing and, you know, re sizing. And I can do the same thing for the next image. Second drug. Another image in, and now the image is being replaced. Now I've got a bunch of images that I left into the exercise files. So I'm gonna go into this case. I'm gonna just press undo a couple times. Okay? Go to add it and just press undo, Replace image, undo again. Replaced image. So I've got my place, all this back. So now I can go to my media able to my thought a library kind of got a bunch of images here that I can add my stuff, for instance. So I can actually add that one can trust that in on. But also add another one which is this one here, drug it and drop it in. So this is how to use the image placeholder your presentation. And you can also set your master slide to have some placeholders. Now, to do that, all you need to do is simply go back into the thumbnail here on the left hand side. Just click anywhere in the thumbnail and you can go to add it. Master slide Here are my inspector. So if I click on that, if you remember from previous movies, I will showing you how to create your own master. Slight. Now, if I want to create one for images placeholders I can go to the ad slide here on top. And let's say we want to use one of these existing is light and then adjust to use this one here. And I'm gonna add a couple images as a shooter before something go to photos. And I can go to the same images and showed you before I'm gonna drag. A couple of them are going to resize them. We just close that resize that on. Let's say I wanna have a slide just in a couple of images but up. So I wanna have them here on the right hand side and resize those duplicate that and bring it down here. And perhaps I wanna have another bunch of them on the side as well and one down below. Now I can make all of this is a place holder by just holding them all down, highlight them, and then I can go into my format advanced, and I can define that as a media placeholder. Perfect actually can centralize them because the slide is gonna be about images, Ali. Now that I'm ready to save, I can go back into the done bottom here at the bottom right corner. And now, if I want to add that slide for my next my next presentation. I can go to that slide, and I've got my nice slide there. This will save you a lot of time in terms of resizing images, cropping them around to make them look in the same. So you just set up this in your master slight. 36. Adding Movie clips: Okay, now is the time to add some other media. Now that we added a lower pictures and we know how to manipulate them out to change the size. What about adding some videos So we can do that by adding another slide? I'm gonna go into my Addis light and and again, if you following up, make sure you open add graphics and media. 003 I'm gonna go to add slide here on the top left I'm gonna and a blank to section. So I'm gonna do that. And I'm gonna call this movie productions we production. And now to add a video, Aiken, go again into media and I can just search for my movies. If you have any movies here, you can go here and search for your movies. Now, if you don't have any movies in your for library or anywhere else, you can just close this and you can go again into media and you can go directly down to choose this. We're gonna do now Gonna think on shoes and in your exercise files on the module five on the media, you should be able to see something called a building escape one. So I'm gonna click on insert now we have these message says these movie my no play on iPad or iPhone. It says here to make sure movies you add are playable on IOS devices, go to the Hino Preferences and select optimized movie movies and images for us. That's what we gonna do. Now I'm gonna flake on, okay? And we're gonna go into que no when I would to preferences and we're gonna make sure we have that option. He has has adding media optimized movies and images for IOS. That's what gonna going a take on that? I also have an option for movies settings here. Gonna click on that. And here I've got an option to change the movie quality. It can be a 10 80. It could be a four K or can be just a smaller fire and keep it as 10 84 now. And if we can, Okay. And I'm gonna close my preferences now I'm gonna resize this movie. I can just pick up any of these handles to make it smaller, and I can actually move it anywhere. He young gonna resize it Now these movie will play after I play the slide so the slide appears. And then when I press click or when I have my clicker, the video will start. Now, if I want to play, I think we can play here and now I've got another bunch of options that appeared on my inspector. So if I go into the inspector here, I've got an option, too. Of course. Change of the border. If I wanna have a border, I can use the line. I can also have a picture frame if I wanted to, and I can change a scale, as I showed you in previous movies. Now, of course, also an extra battery on top school movie. So I click on that here. I've got an option to replace the movie. I can also have the control buttons here to play the movie, and I've got to the volume to control the volume off my movie. So if I press play there, these movie does not have any odio. But if I had any, I will probably place the volume down or just, you know, change the volume as you pleased. Another option of God is edit movie so I can click on the triangle next to it. Any real reveal an option to trim my movie. I might not want to play the entire movie. So why interview? Simply drag these handles too short in my movie so I could do that using this slider here. I've got also an option to change the poster frame. So, for instance, if I wanna have a different pasta frame, I can choose to have, for instance, this nice image here. So that is gonna be my pasta frame. And when I click on it is going to start from the beginnings of a click on play is going to start from the beginning there so I can actually choose. It's quite a short video. Perhaps I want to have a ah, let's say when I have it all the way up here. And as soon as I press play is going to start from the beginning, schools are going spread. Stop for now, click away, and any gonna is gonna go back to my picture frame. So other things I can do here I can repeat the video over and over. Of course, he an option to repeat in loop or loop back and forth as well, and I've got also an option to start movie on Click. So, for instance, if I play my presentation now, the presentation will show me the slight but one play the video unless suppress the clicker or the click of the mouse or pressing the space bar on my keyboards. If I do that now is going to start the movie off course and is going to stop as soon as the movie as finished is going to stop. It is gonna wait for me until I go to the next slight. So gonna press escape to go back to my editor view. So this is the way to control your movies and to change the aspect of it using the inspector. 37. Adding audio files: talking about media videos and photos. We also have an option to add some music or some MP three file or any old your files, for that matter. So we're gonna add one in our first light. But if you're following up, just open the keynote and graphics and media 004 So I'm gonna click on the first slide, the very top. So let's I want to add here an audio file so I can go to media again and I can click on music to access to my iTunes library if I wanted to. Now these music, of course, is copyright protected, so I wouldn't use it for my presentation. I'm going to just pick up anything that is free copyrights. So in this case here are gonna skip this media, and I'm gonna go back into my media battle on top God also an option to record audio. Now, with the new keynote nine, I can record my own older using the internal Mike what can use an external Micah's well for want to narrate something regarding that specific slight? I can do that or that specific presentation for that matter. But in this case, you're gonna choose, Um, the bottom choose And I'm gonna go into my module five on the media and I've got the file. The MP three file called Distance. If you click on that and click on insert. So what happened is that now the audio comes up with this little icon, the enemy little screen. I can just move it around So that will play the music when I played this light. Now, I've got also some options on my inspector when I select my odio, so make sure you select the old your first and then go into your inspector under Oh dear. Now, in the old, you here got Afghan the option to replace the audio with something else and called the controls patterns that I showed you before the volume. Of course, I can change the volume there. I can also play that. So let's say if I move the volume down so you can actually hear me when I'm playing. So if I click on that now, explain the old you add interest breast pose. Now I can click on Add it. Oh, dear. Here in my inspector, if I want to trim that music and I want to trim that. I might not want to play that the entire track. And again, I've got the same options as we saw in the movie before we loop and look back and forth and also start old you on click. So when I press play, the slide will start My presentation will start but the music will not start unless I pressed the clicker or click on my mouth or the space bar on my keyboard and click on my mouse on the music will start And it will stop when the music finish When the track has finished. As soon as I go to the second slide, the music will stop automatically. Now press escape to go back to my editor. Now there is another option. Actually, let me go back to the first light to play the music. Throughout your presentation, you might wanna have something in the background while you playing your presentation all together. So that option is something you find under the Inspector under the document. So I'm gonna just click on the fire here, and I'm gonna delete it. Just press the backspace, so I'm gonna go into documents in my inspector. And here I've got two options. I got the documents options when I can change all the overall aspect off my presentation. But I've got to got the audio sections if ago todo he have gone option to record my own voice. So if I click on record here is going to record my voice and meet basically playing through different slides, I can actually narrate the presentation if I wanted to, so this could be extremely useful. If you need to deliver representation and, you know, able to be there, you can actually record your own voice so people can actually play the presentation and listen to your voice throughout this light. Oh, another option will be adding a son track. So I've gone up from down here says and audio files. So let's say you want to add a note your fire so I can actually minimize this and go to my exercise files here or again. You can go into your media and click on shoes is up to you. I'm gonna go into the desktop this time. DoubleClick. They're gonna go to my module five under my media. And now this time I'm gonna drag distance my file instead of dragging it into my slide toe . This light itself I'm gonna drank it in this area here. So when I do that, you'll see Now I've got a plus button that kind of appeared for a few seconds And now my background that became blue. So if I drop now, my MP three is gonna be added into my presentation. Let me just resize my keynote so I can play that one so I can play in loop or can turn it off it up to you. So if I play it once, what it does is gonna play the song. The song is two minutes and 50 seconds. So after that period it will stop and you will be silence. The presentation will be silence after that. But if I want to play that over and over from my presentation, I can go into their I can choose a loop. And now if I play my presentation that Odette will start. So I'm gonna just place the volume down a little bit. I'm gonna actually rehearse that I can select the track and press play. Okay, Now he's playing. And if I play my presentation using the play button here on Topic and rehearse that So the audio will start and I can go through my slight as I normally do breast escape, to go back to the editor and go back to my first light. So I can also add other audio files if I want to have, like, two or three different tracks that I want to play throughout. My presentation re depends of the length off your presentations as well. So this is how you can add oh Dios into your slides, whether you want to do it in each individual, slights, whether you want to do it to the overall presentation is really up to you. 38. Avoid conflicting media: and other things. Dewberry mind is that if you add music and overall music track throughout your presentation and if you have any other media such as a movie, the one that we just add it before in slide number six. So you're gonna make sure that the volume of your track is old silence. So if you go to format, I'm gonna go back to my movie this as the volume here. So I have to basically dragged the volume all the way down. So the music that I added to my presentation is going to play, and it's not gonna conflict weight the music off my video here. So in this case, this video does not have any older. But if you add some odio, that's the way you would have sold that out. 39. Adding Slide Transitions: All right, let's talk about now. Slide transitions. So you might want to play your presentation. Wait Some transitions between the slides. So at the moment, he slides presentations here as no transitions whatsoever. So if I click on the first from the first light here on the top left And by the way, if you are following up open the keynote, it's called slide transitions. Oh, no one. So if I click on play now to play my presentation now we got the first light I can hear the music in the background If I click or for press the space bar is gonna go to the seconds light the third slide and so on and so forth. So there are no transitions is just the just plain simple slide presentation. The goes through the different slight express the escape. I'm gonna just lower the volume off my track just because you can hear me better. What? I'm doing this tutorial, and I'm gonna go back on top in my slide presentation over one. Now, if I want to apply animations between slides, not between the object within a slide, but actually the slide itself here on the left hand side or you include simply select the thumbnails here, the thumbnail view. So make sure you don't select anything within this light, but just select the slight itself here on the left hand side. And then we're gonna go into the inspector on. We have a section here called Animate, so I'm gonna click on that. And now I've got here. Transitions says no transition affect, and I can add an effect here. So if I click on add an effect, I've got a myriad of different effects. Have got you appear and move of God, flip, spin and scale. I hold so have object facts and have got tax effects as well. So if I want to preview any of this, if I hover the cursor over any of this, I've got this little preview here. So let's say I want to, um I want to preview one of these. Let's say I want to preview the grid and click on preview next to it, and this is how it's gonna look like It's pretty cool. I didn't go to something like moving. I can go to something like Wipe and I can go to the flip spin and scale, for instance, I wanna have doorway. It was very dynamic. Now my suggestion is when you apply any of thes transitions, keep consistency with this. If you choose one stick with one, because when you have different transitions between slight can be very destructive for your audience to follow along. So make sure you choose one that is play enough and it's cool enough for yourself for your slides and apply it to all of yours light. If I like. For instance, my, um, saying on a choose cargo planes said, Look at that one just quite nice. Another one is doorway quite like this one. So I'm gonna choose the doorway. If I want to select that, I'm gonna click on the actual name all the word here. So that has been now applied to my first light and use, you know, is there speakers have got this little blue triangle here at the bottom, right hand corner off my thumbnail. Just make thes thumbnail view a little bigger by dragging the border here so you see a little bit bigger and now we've got here this little blue transition. If I press play, he at the top Now I've got the first light. If I click on my mouth or my clicker, it's gonna having this nice doorway And now the followings light will be plain with no transition. So if I'm gonna press escape if I want to apply the first transition to all of them I click on the 1st 1 and hold down the shift key on my keyboard and click on the last one. So now there are whole highlighted in yellow and I can go back to my animate And now my transitions here says that I've got multiple effects because I applied the first effect My first light and the other one do not have any effect. So I'm gonna go into change and I'm gonna choose doorway as you see, if got the recent effects on this help very useful. Gonna click on that. And now I've got the transition applied for all of my slides. So when I press play now, I've got the transition going through each individual's light, the same identical way on a breast escape just to go back. Now I can also change the duration off my transition by going to the Inspector and I've got an option here to change duration. Now I can choose the slider here to make it run slower or faster, really? Up to you. And if you want to start the transitions on the click or automatically. So if I click on automatic off course, I've got an option to delay the transition So people have the time to read the text where these attacks in mice light or not, eso I can just make that longer so people at the time to read my slight. Otherwise I could just choose on Click. And that will change only when I press the clicker. So this is how to change the duration so I can make that, for instance, faster. And I could even preview it by using these preview button he has if I do it now. So that was why quick. I want if I want to have a slightly, um, just know where I can go to three seconds breast preview and now is a bit slower, probably too slow, so I can go somewhere around 1 80 or let's try 1 50 That's that's okay so I can apply this for all of my slide again. When you do these modifications, make sure you highlight all of yours. Lights against you. Notice? Of course. Only the first slide highlighted. So I'm gonna hold down the shift key and click on the last one again to modify all of them . And again, I'm gonna make sure that duration now is changed to 1 50 and this will apply for all of my slides. So this is the way to transitions into your slides and to keep consistency having the same effect throughout your presentation. 40. Transitions with Text Effects: In a few occasions you might have slides with a lot of text, and it takes sometimes, of course, to read the fruit. One of the way to mediate that is by creating an effect that will show you the first paragraph for the first few paragraph. And the second effect would be showing the remaining text and will give the audience sometimes to read it through. So this is its transition that we can apply here in our first slight. So if you're following up, this is the keynote file called slide transitions 02 So if I click on the first slide here , make sure that that one is selected and here on the inspector on the animate, we have an option to create these effects. But before we do that, we need to duplicate our slide here because we want to create the effect that we still in the same slide. But on Lee, the text changes. So I'm going to just duplicate these thumbnail by right clicking on it and using duplicate I can also use the shortcut. Come on, D. Now I've got to slide through identical slight. I can go to the 1st 1 now And get rid of the first few paragraph. Let's have a look. Am I gonna get rid of the second and the third paragraph here? I'm gonna press delete now I got only the 1st 1 and I could actually have it to slightly on the side here a little bit higher. Now I can apply the effect by clicking on the first slide again going to my animate inspection here on the the doorway. So we're gonna change the way I click on change and I for scroll all the way down You have three effects for for the tax school tax effects and I got shimmer, sparkle and swing So let's try the 1st 1 If Italy can preview So this is what it does with Shima. I can go to sparkle. Perhaps I want to use that And I'm also gonna click on swing. I'm gonna choose sparkle and ironically corny. So I'm going to show me the presentation here, So I also need to go to the second slide here, and I can get rid of the first paragraph which I don't need, and I'm gonna make it this going up here, I'm gonna delete the welcome page there. And then I'm gonna go back into my first light, and I'm going to preview my transition by clicking on preview on my inspector. Let's have a look. How he looks Cool. It looks pretty good. So now I can also change the duration. And that one is 1.5, which is fine. And then I'm gonna start a transition on the click. So I could also change direction off my effect from left to right, from right to left. Top, bottom, bottom to top. I'm gonna leave it as it is for now. And now if I play the presentation from the top, I didn't go to play. So this is the first light, and the music is going to play over. Of course, Now I muted it. But now you gonna hold So hear the music and I pressed the click or the space bar on my keyboard is gonna show me the second and the third paragraph. And it looks like we still in the same slide, even though we actually changed to the seconds light a press escape. So this is one of the way to mediate when you have a lot of text into a slight by using one of these slight animation 41. Transitions with Object Effects: another great way to do slight transitions is by using some object effects. Now, with keynote nine, you can actually have quite a few and a grocery. How that works is basically you have, in effect, such as changing from one slide to another and having the illusion toe actually only change the objects without actually changing the slight itself. In this case, you have got bunch of slides here theseventies and eight slight, whichever the same background my laptop here. So if I transitions between the two using these objects effect is going to give you the illusion that the slide is still the same and the object change on Lee but is actually changing the entire slight. So to give you an example here from Quicken slide number seven and I'm going to play now, we're gonna have the slide presentation here with the movie. I'm gonna click on it. The movie's gonna start If I click again is you're gonna see the doorway and it is gonna basically transition to the other slight. So instead of having this effect, I can go back to slide number seven, make sure selected, and then I'm gonna go into my inspector on the animate. And instead of using doorway, I'm gonna click on change. And I got a scroll down until they see a section called Objects Effect. Now, I can choose any of this. Let's try to preview the 1st 1 object Cube. So if I do it now, if I could come preview is gonna give you the illusion that is only changing the video in the, you know, the text with my charts. So let's click on that. So I've got the a Cuba fact of God also object. Flip, I've got the object pop as well, and I've got the object push quite nice. The object revolt, the object soon and the perspective. Quite a few here. So unlikely. Called object, Papa. Quite like that. An unlikely con object pop to selected. Now I've got an option. He, of course, to change the duration to change the direction off. That can be from right left from top of bottom. I can even have random one. Um, I'm gonna just choose, for instance, right to left, and the transition's gonna start on the click. So if I click on preview now, you'll notice I've got thes illusion that I am in the same slight even though I'm changing the slide from 7 to 8. So this is a great way to apply effects two slides giving the illusion that you're still in the same slide and changing only the objects within it. 42. Transitions with Magic Move: another great slight transitions that I love is magic Move that This allows me to basically move objects around a slight, giving the illusion that I'm in the same slight and perhaps present different information. And in order to enable magic move, I need to duplicate my slide first vote. I mean the fire presentation called slight transitions or four. If you are following me. And if I click on slight number five and I right click, I can duplicate that. So now I've got two identical slight, so I can go to the seconds light here, this line number six, and I can start to make my modifications. So let's say I want to bring this stable in front, make a slightly bigger and reduce the size off my images and also change the text on top here. So one of the thing I could do, I can highlight the text, and I can start to resize to make it smaller. And I can resize that us well to make it smaller. And now I can move it around, make it a little bit. It's more like this. I can actually move it on the side and move it down here like this. I can click on the table and I can click on the top left hand corner to select the table. So I've got my handles and I can drag the handles to make that table bigger. I can actually move it a little bit in the center. I can make it wider and I can make it. Tola a swell if I wanted to move it slightly up, dual my adjustment. Let's make sure that it's the edges. Match it. My, my put my photos here, and I could also change the text. I can change to, let's say, our team, our heart. And now I can actually click on the first slide here, going to my inspector on the animate and click on change. At the moment we have doorway by faculty can change and I go to my magic move, which is here. I can click on the preview to preview and see how it looks so that will automatically fade , will make the forest mola and the table bigger so I can do that pretty cool now if I apply it incorrectly. Com. Magic move. So with magic move, you need to have the same object, at least one object in common between the two slight. So make sure you duplicate one slide and you have at least one object. The object could be either a taxed, an image or a table or anything else that you want to create an animation. You can click OK, or you can actually take that box. If you don't want to see this message again, I'm gonna click, OK? And I could see the animations again. Now when you apply magic move, Inspector shows me a list of options that I can use. Now I've got a duration here on top of God, also an option to fade unmatched objects. So, for instance, if I click on the seconds light and I get rid of the images altogether, the transition will fade the image out, and that's where you're gonna see. That's what I'm gonna play. I'm gonna leave their own, of course. And I've got three different ways to animate my magic move I can actually use by objects in this case of going object, which is my table that I want to animate. I can do it by word or by character. So if I've got lots of text. For instance, I can use magic move either by word or by character. Now, I've got some text here that I changed from our team to our heart. But I can actually preview that taken by word and click on preview. Now you notice that the tax that will change the team to art and that it will keep the hour which is in common in their working click on by character and it's under the same thing. Probably more fancy disk, right? Just quite cool. I can do that as well. But my table in my images are fading the way I want it. And also I've got the text gives me this beautiful animation. So I'm gonna keep it by character. And I go also an option to accelerate to ease the easy in and out. And I want to keep that smooth. I get also easy in Onley or is out by in this case, I'm gonna keep it both easy in and out. And also the transition will start on the click. I'm gonna click on the play button on top to preview it. So I got now my first slide if I click on the clicker or my mouse on the keyboard. Now, I've got this beautiful transition that focuses on my table. So press escape. So experiment with this. The only thing you need to remember with magic move is that you need to have a least one object in common between the two slight. So if you want to animate attacks to make sure that text is the same in the seconds light and then change it to whatever other text you want. If the object is a table, make sure you duplicate the table and all the images as well. In my case here, I showed you how to actually duplicate the entire slide and then just amend the 2nd 1 the way you want. 43. Using Text Animation: nowadays, with all the social media and older things that going on with technology, we need to keep our audience engaged all the time with our presentation. And sometimes it's very challenging, Especially when we have to show a slight full of text like this, for instance, so it's quite boring just to play this without any animation. So keynotes provides beautiful animation that we can build within a slight. So we talked about the slight transitions in previous chapters. But in this movie and in the following ones, I'm gonna show you all the different ways you can add animations within a slide. So in this case, I want to add some animations here for this text. So if you want to follow along, make sure you open the keynote at the animation double or one. Now I'm gonna play the skin on just to show you our looks. So this is just a Splain static slides. We're gonna make this a little bit more exciting, so I'm gonna press escape to go back to my editor. Well, let's click on our tax year. We're gonna make an animation off this paragraph here. We're gonna go into inspector under animate. And under this we have three front tops we have built in action and build out. So build in allows me to create animations. When I start this light and I got some images or text coming in, build out allows me to apply an animation to the objects that leave. That's light before we go to the next one. And actions are actions within this light before we transitioning to the following one. So we're gonna start with building and I'm gonna click on Add an effect. Now he have got several different animations, have caught them sorted in category or go appear and move. I've got flip, spin and scale. I've got a special effect and I've got quite a few here, so you can actually previewed them by pressing the preview button here on the right hand side, for instance, if I click on a pier and taken preview now I see that one just appear as just a normal animation. I can go to something like blur. And as you can see now, the text will sharpen very quickly. I can go to something like these old, which is quite nice. I could go something like a drop on. I've got something like flying, so some of these are quite nice. They're very subtle. Animations were not destructing, but I can actually go to something like why, for instance, And if I want to go into a more dynamic animation again, go to something like flip Oh cube or blind of gold spin. So you have to just go through these animations until you find the one that you like or force If you like an animation in particular, make sure it doesn't involve a lot of movement. Because if you apply the animation to several slides for your audience, my lose concentration so I can go down here on the M bill, for instance, I got bouncy Quite nice. If you just apply this animation once, that would do. You got something like fireworks lens flare, etcetera. So I'm gonna be a using a new animation, just quite subtle. I'm gonna try to use something like this old just quite nice. So I'm gonna click on these old so that will build in into my slide and also some options here to change the duration at the moment is one second the text delivery so I can deliver by object off by word or character if I want to preview this. Secondly, come preview. So that will come altogether. If I click on it by word and click on preview, it will come like this. Or I can actually use by character as well. And it will come up also like this. So if I goto by word and by character, I can also choose what directions the text will take So I can actually do backwards, for instance, impress preview with the opposite or from center so you could do it as well. So it's really up to you how you want to use it. I'm gonna just use by object and now down below, it's as delivery all at once. Well, yeah, I want to do that. So basically five now, press play. Now I've got my slide and is waiting for me to click with my mouse or space bar with my keyboards off a click on that. Now, the animation will come up on our press escape for now, gonna go back here. And by the way, I'm gonna go to documents and gonna mute uh, my, uh, audio. There's in the background so you can hear me better go back to format, Actually go back to any mate and let's say I want to change that automatically so I can actually go into build order down below here. So when I click on that is going to show me this little window here. Now, I've got my paragraph on top here which is represented by a block and down below. Here it says, Start on, click. So is waiting for me to click so I can actually do that automatically. If I wanted to buy just going to after transition and I can also apply a delay so I can actually get some delay. Let's say I wanna wait at least half a second. I can preview that. So it's quite nice. So I like that. So I'm gonna close this little window, and I'm gonna press play on top, and I was gonna appear automatically without me clicking and doing anything perfect. So let's say now I want to also apply a built out so I can go to build out here, and I can apply an effect so I can go that and I choose something different Let's say I'm gonna use something like fade and move, which is quite nice. I can use that. I'm gonna click on that. Of course. Take sometimes to explore all the different transitions. Pick the one. Do you fancy so? And now I can actually choose what direction I want that to go. When disappears, I'm gonna press preview again. Okay? That one goes down there. I'm gonna leave it like this. And old second chain, The fading move. I can also change the traveled distance. So I if I put that from 100% to 50% and I preview it so that will shorten the distance off the tax before disappearing. Working? Actually, you'll even under percent. And that will go all the way through the end of this light. So quite, like actually around? Probably around 40. Let's look our looks. It's actually quite nice. So I'm gonna leave it like this and then text delivery again. I can go by object by word. I'm gonna go by word and oppressed preview. Probably. This is quite distracting. I'm gonna just go back into my text delivery under by object, and then let a press preview again. Okay? So if I now go into the build order here, I've got my second block, which is my second animation. And it is going to start with the click, which I want, actually, because I want to talk about whatever is in the text, and then I will be able to just to use the clicker or my mouth, my keyboard to go to the next light. I'm gonna just close this and I'm gonna press play just to rehearse it. So I've got that slide coming in the text automatically appear after off seconds. I can talk about whatever it's in the text and then once, once, I'm ready to transition to the next slide and just press the clicker and then that's what happened so busy when I click ones, it will get rid of that text. But I'm still in that slight. It would be nice if I can actually transition automatically to the next slight. I'm gonna just do that. Now I'm gonna press escape. And now what I'm gonna do, we gonna click on the slide itself on a thumbnail here, click on there, make sure is highlighted in yellow, and I'm gonna go into transition. And instead of starting the transition with the click, I'm gonna just use it automatically. Now I'm going to press play just to rehearse it again. This light comes in the tax coming in after offer seconds, I can talk about whatever is in the text. And once I'm ready to transition to the next slide and in a press the clicker and now the slide will transition to the second slight, perfect gonna press escape. So this is the way to add animations within a slight by using, building and out explored that and the following video. I'm gonna show you more animations and more ways to make your slide more dynamic and more engaging. 44. Using Bullets Animation: when we add a list or bullet points in our presentation, Kino provides additional animations that we can apply. I'm gonna show you how to do that now, So I'm gonna create a new slide. And by the way, if you following up opened the keynote adding animations 02 So we're gonna go into add slide here. I'm gonna add our bullet list. And now it was impressively. I already copied some of my bullet points here. When I click on the bullet layer and all you need to lose if you want to write it yourself , you could just double click and start to write your own bullets. But in this case here, I'm gonna delete that and I'm gonna put my own bullet here. So what I did, I just typed down all of this points. And then I went down to the format on the bullets and I chosen numbers. So you can also choose text bullets if you want to have the dotted. Ah, I couldn't buy in this case. I'm gonna use numbers after you have your bullet list. Now we can select it, and then we can apply an animation, so I'm gonna call this market marketing marketing model. So I'm gonna click on the bullet text by clicking on it once and then gonna go into my animate here on the Inspector. So as you notice I got building and bill out are empty and action as well. Nothing is applied. So I'm gonna go to building, and I'm gonna click on add in effect. So you notice I've got the same animations as we saw before, and we can apply any of this at school to something like last, for instance. Oh, let's go to something a little bit, um, plain and say OK, quite like that one. So I'm gonna use Cube now when I actually see the inspector, I've got some additional options. For instance, here I've got an option, too. Of course. Change the duration off the animation. I can have it one second. In this case. It's fine. I can also change the direction. Let's say I want to leave it as it is. I can change the balance effect so I can apply the bounds or not. So if I can't take that in a press preview, it's just comes up normally. Otherwise, that bounce gives you that nice bouncing animation text delivery I can deliver by words, by object or by character, I'm gonna leave it by object. The order is the only animation that I applied so far, so I've got only one and delivery of God all at once. Now, if I want to deliver by bullets and say I'm talking about a specific bullet here, I want to be able to just click to go to the next one so I can go into all at once and again change by bullet for water to buy bullet grip or by highlighted bullet. You might have some sub bullet lists or, like more complex, less to bang in this case and use by bullet. And I can also decide the build order. I can have the from the 1st 1 to the last one, or you can even choose the order in a different way. It's up to you. We'll leave it like this for now. And if I click on build order down below here, I can see. For all of my bullets are separate in different blocks, and every bullet will start with a click. So let's preview that so it's you second. See, I've got all the bullets coming in automatically. These only works in preview, of course. But if I want to preview it using the preview button, the inspector and click on preview And of course, they're all coming at the same time. If I really want to test my bullet list or right to do it, simply go into the play button on a very top here on my toolbar. So now I've got my slight coming in and now is waiting for me to click to get the first bullet. I'm gonna click on that. I got the first bullet I can talk about that and then I can click again to go to the 2nd 1 And again, it's waiting for me to click on again to go to the 3rd 1 to the 4th 1 and so forth. So this is works very well in the press escape. To go back here and to my editor, I'm gonna bullet here and again. I can also make sure that the bullet can come all at once. If I wanted to buy just using all at once if I wanted to or I can go to build order here. Perhaps I've got Maurin emission going on in the same slight and that I can go back into my build order here and I can change the start now on a click. But after previews built so our previous build would be the slight transition after I transition from this slide Number four to slam number five. So I'm gonna now preview it and thats gonna show you that the bullet list will come all at once. I had also previewed this by just closing this window and going to the plate, and that will show me all the list. All the bullets coming one after the other press escape. So you can also do things like delivery all at once if you like, and you can preview that so they all come all at once again with the bullet points. The purpose is to have in them coming one by one, and it's really up to you if you want to use the click or the automatic transition 45. Using Table and Chart Animations: when it comes to building animations within a slide. We can also apply these animations to charts and tables. So let's start by using the table. So I'm gonna go to my table, hear clicking table, and now, as again is our animation is, well, strictly can animate building. I can click on ads and effect, and I've got a serious off effect that we saw before. And we can try any of this and say You want to try e the Cube? So we see that one coming in the pop. Um, the iris, the drift. So try a few of them. The Blur. Another one is the M ville. It's quite nice. Ah, the Sadie confetti. So let's try confetti for now. So this is gonna build our table like this. And now I've got a an option to deliver that all at once so I can go here and now I've got lots of different ways to show my table, my rows and columns so I can go by cell. I can go by cells content. I can go by a row, content to reverse as well or by column reverse. So let's let's try one of these a school Teoh by rope. So and find now going to preview is gonna look like this is gonna basically build from Rome . Number one, number two, Number three, number four and number five Or I can just change the the way it looks by reverting it, I can goto by column reverse second Quicken preview. And now he's gonna start from right two left. So it's really up to you. Are you want to build this? So explore this. There are so many here you can choose from and again you preview it and, you know, find out, make it make up your mind away. You wanna, um you want your table to a pair And if I go to build order here, I've got all these blocks that represent my table So my rose from Roaf. I tow row one and I can change the order of this by just unclear kicking and clicking on the one I want and move it around. If I want to change the order, I can do that here. Oh, I can actually highlight them all by clicking and holding from the outside. Or just click on the 1st 1 Hold down shift and click on the last one to highlight a mole. And then I can click on the start instead of having me to click. I want to actually see that table as soon as I see the slide. So we're gonna go to after previous build, and I can actually preview that and that is going to basically build my table that way, which are quite like it. So I'm gonna leave it like this, and I'm going to just close this and again preview it at the top young by pressing on play . Now the slide will come on and the table will slowly build in all at once. Perfect. Not just breast escape. So let's also animates, um, charts. I'm gonna go into my first charts here. I can click on the charts and I can go to my animating my inspector on the building and I can click on add in effect. Now you noticed I've got several different animations on top of the one that I had before with other objects have gotten top here the three D charts effect, so I can choose any of this and preview it. So if I click on the 1st 1 Really, Crane is gonna bring the pie charts that way through three. Grow quite nice radio, quite like radio rotate. And I got rotating grow quite like that. And also three d zed access or used the zed access to bring the charts in, which is quite nice. So I'm gonna choose the radio quite like that one looks like on that. Now, when I click on that, I've got an option to deliver that all at once. Or I can click on that and choose either by cascade, by which so I can click on Cascade and again I can go to preview, and there will basically build a slowly from one wedge to the next ones. Or I can go to buy wedge and click on preview, and that will bring each edge slowly in just quite nice as well. So let's leave it by wedge, and it's go into the build order again. Here. I can see all of my blocks of animations in one place while I light it so there will be triggered by the clique. In this case, I want to them to appear automatically gonna click on after build after previous build, and now I can preview that the L coming now after previous build and click on the Red too close, and I can actually preview this by using the play button on top to rehearse. And now I've got the slide coming in and the charts building in automatically. I quite like the and just compress escape so I can do the same thing with interactive charts by clicking on my slide 12. And if I click on the charts here, they have caught this three different state of God got these lighter at the bottom. That shows me the gross revenue shows me the procreation costs and the net profit. So this if I now click on the charts, I've noticed that the inspector already applied an animation for that interactive charts. So interactive charts are very special, and they have their own animation is you can see he have got the magic chart animation so I can change the duration here. The moment says five seconds. What that means is gonna take five seconds to show me. Although the three different states off a press preview is gonna show me older, three different estate and conditions off my chart. But I can also go into delivery and I can change. Continues to buy set. Now let's preview this. I'm gonna go to preview and now is going to slowly take five seconds for each individual state. The 1st 1 gross revenue can take five seconds to transition to the second and five seconds again to go to the last one. So I'm gonna go back into the continuous who I like that one and I can go down here to the build order. And I can also set this up to build after the transition so I can close this. I can go to my preview on top just to rehearse it. And now I've got this light coming in, and now I've got again the interactive charts coming in automatically oppressed escape to go back. Now you can change all these animations at all time. You just click on the charts and do your changing air off course. You can also build out the animation or create some sort of actions if you like. But for charts and for pie charts and tables, I wouldn't go that far unless you have specific reason. So have fun using animations, weighed tables and pie charts and charts in general, and I'll see you in the next video. 46. Animating Objects: Now we can apply any mission not just to charts and two tables and text and bullet points where we can also add animations to objects such as shapes or images in this case. So if you're following up, this is the file call adding animations double 04 and we are under slide number nine. So if I want to apply some animations here, all I can do I can just click on the image and I can go to my inspector on the building and I can click on that effect and I can choose one of thes effect. So let's say I want to add, for instance, the anvil. So let's try that quite nice that I'm gonna click on that to enable it. I'm gonna click on the second, um, image next to it. I'm gonna choose the same effect in this case. I don't apply the same effect for all of them. I will do a sad one, do the same thing. The 4th 1 I don't apply the same effect. And now if I click again on the 1st 1 I can see that the build order is number one. The 2nd 1 is the second position. The 3rd 1 is 1/3 and the fourth is the fourth. So I can change the order as I like. By selecting whatever image and changing the order from here, I'm gonna leave it as it is for now. I want to be able to apply these animation as soon as thes light come in. So in this case, yeah, I would have to go into the build order here, and I've got all of my animations block here have got the 1st 1 If I click on that's gonna highlight the block within the slight, which is very useful. I can click on the 2nd 1 and highlights the 2nd 1 the 3rd 1 and the 4th 1 as well. So if I click on the 1st 1 here, that will happen with a click. So I don't want to do that. I want to actually have them coming in at the same time. So in this case, I'm gonna hold down the shift key on my keyboard, and I click on the last object to highlight them all. And instead of using on click, I'm gonna choose after build So they all come together and I can actually preview that. So they all coming one after the other, which is quite nice, and I can just close that. So now I can also apply something called Actions. So actions are an extra animation that I can add within this light so I can go to actions here, and I can apply this to all of them or to a specific one. For instance, For one, apply the actions to the 1st 1 I can go to actions and I can go to add in effect. And you have got some additional animation I've got move capacity, rotate scale. So if I want to preview this one's, I can just create gone preview, so that will actually move the second. That will change the opacity. The 3rd 1 will rotate. The 4th 1 will scale it. And again, I can change all these parameters. Once I apply them, I can also click on Blink. These are like emphasis to certain certain objects. I can do extra bounds, extra flip, jiggle, pope and also pulse as well. So that's I wanna play pulls to the first image. So if I click on that that we're pulse So basically the order off the animation will be there after this light come in. I'm gonna get all my images coming in, as am Bill. And then the fifth built in this case was gonna be that image doing a little pulse animation. So if I basically preview this by using the preview button here on top of the play button to rehearse, so we're gonna have my slight intermission. I'm gonna have my images coming in sequential order, and then the 1st 1 will jiggle. Butt off course is gonna wait for me to click to have the extra animation. So I need to basically make that automatic on a press escape. So I'm gonna go into my first image here. I'm gonna go into action, and then I'm gonna go down here under build order. Now, as you notice the fifth animation here is my pulse, and there will only happen with a click Instead, I want to make sure that one happened after the build for which is actually the fourth image coming in. So I'm gonna just do that with build for or after build. Four could be careful here because with Bill four is gonna animate the same time when the fourth image will come in, which we don't want. We wanna have it after the fourth image comes in. So I'm gonna click on that and I'm gonna preview that again. So, Asiago, be four coming in, and after the 4th 1 my first image will pulse. So this is one of the way to apply actions to your objects. And you can also add more actions and do more fancy movements, which I'm gonna show you in the next video. 47. Using Action Builds: now that we applied our animations to objects gonna show you also another way to use the action animation. So at the moment, we have our animation weight, the anvil. So we actually play that for a second. Just to recap. I've got these four images coming in with this nice animation. And then the first image will polls for a bit. So these are just prasert animations that I can apply. What about I want to actually have these images coming in for from four different directions and there is no such a way to do it with preset animations. So in this case, I'm gonna use the action, so I'm gonna press escape here. So let's say I want to actually duplicate this. I'm gonna keep this as it is. And what? Our experiment, the other animation. So in this case, I'm gonna go here on my slight number nine. And if you're following up, make sure you open the keynote adding animations double 05 So I'm gonna right click there, and I'm gonna duplicate this slight. Now I'm gonna go to Sly number 10 and now I'm going to highlight all of my images and I'm gonna basically remove the building by going to change and go back to none. And I'm gonna go into actions again, and I'm gonna go to change and use none as well. So now none of this have any animation whatsoever. I just started from scratch. So now I want to apply in action to these images. So I'm gonna click on the 1st 1 and instead of using building this time going to use the action. So I'm gonna click connection. And one thing I want you to do is to actually go into the zoom a top left hand corner and make sure you make these slight 50%. So the reason why we do that upset because we want the image to come from different directions from the outside from outside hours light. So we need to have a little bit of space outside our slide itself. That's why we go into 50%. Now I'm gonna click on the first image. I'm gonna go into action and click on add an effect. We're gonna use the basic effect tip gonna use move. I'm gonna preview it that will move the objects that way, which is that the default movement. I'm gonna click on move, going. Apply that when I do that. Now I see the original and a shaded and version of it just the right after it. So if I want the image to coming in from it, say from the left here knows I got this red line. And if I now press preview is gonna show me the first position, which is the one that the images in now and the second position and final just the right next to it. I wanna have this final position where the actual first images And by doing that, trying to basically move my image from outside, I'm moving outside my frame and I'm gonna move the shaded version where I want the image to be. So if I do that now and I press preview here on my inspector, the image will come in from the left. And of course, I can change the direction to be from the top. I can do whatever I want with that. I'm gonna leave it there for now. And I'm gonna apply the same on a mission to the 2nd 1 Gonna go back to the 2nd 1 goto action Click on Add in effect and use move. Same thing we have again initiated version, which is the final state off my image. And I want to basically have that on the other side. I'm gonna basically drunk the original out, and I'm gonna put the final stage in when a preview. That and that will come in Perfect. So I've got the 1st 1 here. I preview that one that will come in this way. The 2nd 1 will come in that way. Perfect. I can also check if the order is correct that when his old number two just fine when I go to the 3rd 1 as well and I'm gonna apply in action there move. Place the original photo essay diagonally down here and the shaded version right here. Perfect. And I wanna have the 4th 1 the same way. Go to move. I'm gonna drug the original outside, and it should version somewhere here. Perfect. So now I'm gonna preview my slide by just going to the play button on top here and see what happened. So if I do that now, I have to wait. Well, keynote will wait for me to click. I'm gonna click on the first call the first too much coming in. Click on the 2nd 1 Coming in again, Sudden Ford Ling? No. Quite like actually the randomness off these images. They wanted to be necessarily aligned. But if I want to align them, I can do that. So I'm gonna just press escape for now, and I'm gonna basically click on each individual ones and I can click on the little red button down below there to show me the final stage So I can actually move that around to align it to the center, for instance. And I also have thes measurement the X and A y. So I can actually measure that if I wanted to The second ship, Same thing. I'm gonna click on that click on the little red icon, the bottom there, and I could also align it to the center. And perhaps I wanna have a slightly separate That's a 983 is the X position. And that's why I'm gonna use 95 when I remember that when I go to the 4th 1 down below here , I'm gonna click on the red again. I'm gonna make sure that now I'm a lining as well. Saying 905 nine or six if I not, If it's kind of snaps to the different number What you can do, you just go to the format, click on image and then you can change the position to nine on 909892985 Perfect number and click and hold Image that and as you conceive, snapped automatically there. So I can actually go back into the position. The exposition. I'm gonna put 905 and as you can see when As soon as I click on that, the image will move at the same time. So I'm gonna go back to animate. I'm gonna click on the fourth image down below Here, I'm gonna click on the red again and again. I'm gonna use the same position and I want to have now that aligned Let's say the why he a 631 Let's go back to the other one. Just see the why they're so the Y axis is 6 to 9. Gonna go back to the other one and make sure 6 to 9 as well 6 to 9 perfect. I'm gonna move it slightly on the side. Actually, I'm gonna leave it right there because the 1st 1 kind of snaps to the center as well. Okay, so let's go back into our play on top and see what happened. Don't go. The 1st 1 coming in the 2nd 1 the 3rd 1 and the 4th 1 Perfect. So they look great. I can actually adjust the second a little bit, but this is how you can actually create custom built using the action animation. 48. Double checking your Slides: Okay, now is the time to deliver your presentation. So after we done all of this into our presentation keynote, we're ready to present it, right? Well, the first things you need to make sure before you even show this up to an audience is to check for spelling ground my mistakes or anything that has to do with your text. So what we can do? We can go to add it here on top, and we can go to spelling and grammar, and you can actually show spelling and grammar. Hero can check the documents now as well. We also have a bunch of options down below here to check the spelling while you're typing or check grammar with spelling or correct spelling automatically, which are ticked this to our ticked. But I can actually go back into show spelling and grammar. Just check if there's any mistake. It looks like there's no mistake so far. Otherwise, you would have seen the first word on top and the slide where that mistake is in this case here, you don't see anything. Otherwise you would have click on change if there was a correction or you were pressed. Find next to see if there are other mistakes. In this case, it looks like it's all fine so far. I'm gonna click on the red button. So if the U verified the grammar mistakes, you might want to also check your document under the Inspector. That's we're gonna do it now. Gonna go into document. And by the way, we are under the file. Deliver your presentation. Double one if you are following up and I've got here bunch of options so down below here, I've got slideshow settings. It gives me a few options and also got presentation type. When you see normal means you are in complete control of your presentation, you in control of your mouth or your clicker off your keyboard. You have to worry about the slide show settings here above, but we have a bunch of options under presentation type. I can click on that, and I've got to dumbbell. I've got links on Lee, a self playing. So, for instance, if I click on self plane, then this will play on its own. And perhaps I want to also use some of these settings above here. For essence, I can automatically play upon open so I can take that box and that will automatically play . I can also look the slide show. If I take that box, this will look the slight show until I press escape. So if you use this presentation for considers for his in exhibitions or anything else, you might want to get rid of the keyboard from your computer and no one can actually escape the slight show, and the presentation is gonna play over and over in Look. We also have another option to restart show if idle for a certain amount of time. So these work very well when the presentation is interactive. So in this case, if I click presentation type and I change from self playing two links on Lee, I can make hyperlinks within my slide. So what that means is I can actually click on a slight to jump toe separate ones so your audience can interact with your presentation. And if the computer is not active for, say, a certain amount of time, this case 50 minutes or less is up to you. The presentation will restart from the first slight, so this could be quite useful if you play the presentation on its own or if he's interactive in this case, if he's an educational presentation will be very good. In this case, I'm gonna go back to normal, and then I don't need any of this selected, so I'm gonna untech them up. So this is the way to kind of preset your keynote presentation before you expose it to an audience. 49. Playing your Presentation: after you double check your documents and your slight you really toe actually present these two and onions. So what you can do, you can actually press the play button on top to actually start your presentation. So the presentation will start, and then you can go forward with a slide using your mouth if you like. And if I use the left click of my mouse is gonna go to the next slide and I click again and I'm gonna go to the next slide again. If I use the right click is gonna go back to the previous build. And again, if I click with the right click again is gonna go to the very first built so I can go back and forwards this way by using my mouse, we're going to use the keyboard with a space bar that allows me to go step by step to throughout my slight build by built, we're going to use the return key as well to go to Fort. I want to go forward to my sliding and suppress the return key went to keep and I had also using my keyboard the direction keys. So if I use for instance, the left arrow and the up arrow allows me to go back. One built at the time with the up arrow does the same. Or I can use the down error and the Ford Arrow to go forward, build by build. Now I can also hide what I see on my screen, but safe. I'm talking with my audience, and I want to hide my presentation to show something else I can use the shortcut command H that will hide my presentation, and it is going to show me the desktop instead. I would also go back to my presentation by using command tab and the switch into keynotes again to go back to where I was. I could also use the shortcut W or B to make the screen either white or black. Perhaps I want to just hide something. Either want to escape representation, but I still want to talk about the concept with my audience, compressed it w to make the screen white, and I compress w again to bring the slide back organ use black. If I wanted to, do you kind of turn off the screen or to make the screen black just quite nice, actually, on black again to go back to my presentation. So these are the various ways you can control your keynote. You can also have an application to your smartphone that allows you to control your slide. Or you can also download the native out before keynote for your iPhone. That allows you to actually see the slides in your phone, and you can actually see that the actuals light and the next slide as well. You can customize that directly on the up. But if you play your keynote using your laptop and perhaps you have a projector in this way , everyone can see exactly what you see on your screen. Morris's KPHO school back here, and I'm gonna show you other ways to deliver your presentation by using other tools that we have here in keynote. 50. Using Presenter Notes: to make sure your presentation is flawless on the audience is nice and engaged. We need to make sure that we know exactly what to say in each individual slight. And having a bunch of note somewhere written down would be very, very useful. One of the way would be either having a bunch of notes in a piece of paper that you can keep on the site. But Kino actually allows you to have some notes down below your slight. So in order for you to enable this is by going to view at the top of the menu bar, I've given option to click on it show to actually show presented notes. I'm gonna click on that so you should be able to see this white area here down below that I can also resize by just using the separator, the right separate and just dragging that cursor up and down. And by the way, if you're following up, this is thes light called the lever. Your presentation double o to you See here. Now I've got now an option to type some notes. Of course, since it let's say I want to introduce Oh, you can actually say, Ask the audience a question. Ah, that could be just a bullet, for instance, on then I can have, for instance, them answered, and they can say Introduce, um, remind them just to give them a little bit more reason to stay tuned to the presentation. Perhaps you can introduce yourself, and you can ask another question as well to keep them engaged, for instance, and you can talk about the agenda. Talk about the agenda if you like, so this could be quite useful. Toe. Have it either printed out or visible to your side to say, Perhaps you want to around this through your laptop. So these are notes that can be shown to the presenter, but not to the audience. And the owners can actually just see this light. So one of the way would be just by printing them out. And you can do that by going to file and go into print. So when I go to print, Keynote showed me a few ways to print this out so I can click on show details here to see more details, and I go here four different ways to print my notes. I can click on the first when he had the 1st 1 will actually print the slide itself. And underneath there, I've got a bunch of options. I got this slide layout I can actually use include notes. I can't critic that box and that will make my slide much, much smaller on my a four page. And now I can see my notes down below, which is very, very handy. You can actually have all of your slight with all of your notes down below now, only written down the first light, but you can do the rest on your own, or you can actually use the great to the grid is another way to print your slight so you know exactly what sequence your presentation as. But there is no option to print out your notes. You can only choose the great layout or many slide you want into a page. Ah, The other option is to do an end out just quite good. Actually, this gives me an option to create some sort of notes for my audience so they can actually see the slight on the site and they can write their own notes. But I can also include presented notes. If they want to show notes to your audience, you can take that box. They can actually see your notes. And they also have some space to write their own notes as well, which could be quite useful as well. Or you old seven option to use the outline, and that is going to show you basically the sequence of your slides here on a piece of paper so you can bring them out this way. I found the first slide here. Option is very, very useful to have them print them out. But there's also another way to actually show your notes without print them. Onda. Hide them from your audience. I'm gonna click on cancer for now, and I can also change the size of my nose. I can should highlight the mold. For instance, I compress the command plus of minus to make them bigger or smaller. If you have, perhaps, is more laptop and you might want to see the little bigger, you can do that as well, and you can do the same thing for the rest of this light and go to the second slide, and I can add some notes here for instance, and I could do the same for the rest. In the next video, I'm gonna show you how to customize your presented display so you can actually see exactly war. Object on what slide and what note to see in your monitor while your audience on Lee have the slide itself. 51. Using Presenter Display: before you deliver your presentation or why you delivering it? You might wanna have certain tools that allows you to understand what time it is, how much time you go left. Perhaps you're presented notes as well as we talked previously. And other things that you want to see. Perhaps you wanna see the next slide, What's gonna happen next? So you know exactly how to prompt your audience and not to be prepared to have a good cigarette as well. So this is achievable by using the presented display. So before we even go to the present, this play, we have to enable it. And to do that, we're going to the menu bar on top. And by the way, if you want to follow up, this is the delivery. Your presentation? Double 02 We still there? All I did, I just added some extra notes in my seconds light as well, just for you to have it. So I'm gonna go to key, not on top of my menu bar and click on Preferences. And I'm gonna go into the slide show here at the top, and we got an option to enable presented display. Make sure this one is ticked on. Once you've done that, we're gonna close this. We're gonna go into the play button here at the top and we have an option to customize present a display. So when you do that, you should be able to see a screen that looks like this. So these are all floating objects that you can move around, you can resize. You can do whatever you want with them. Now, at the bottom here, I've got this little window called customized presented display and I can enable the disabled tools, for instance. Well, it's very useful to have, for instance, de times here on top, so I can have that on the side. I can move that around as well. I'm gonna do it just in a second. And I can also have my presented notes so I can take the box into presented notes and that will actually show me the present, the notes down below here, which is very handy. I can also change the size off my presented notes by clicking on them and I've got these handles and I can move around to resize that as well. I can even resize that the bottom as well. I can do whatever I want with that. I can also add the option to add oclock. I can antique that. Remove the clock. Oh, at it back organ. Also use the timer. I can have the timer. I can also So these appears at the top. I can actually move these text boxes around. I can have the time on the side there and the time elapsed here. Perhaps I want to know how long is taking me to cover a certain topic or certain is light. Or perhaps I wanna have that in reverse mode and perhaps I want to check that. Let's say I want to deliver dis presentation within the next 30 minutes. I'm gonna type on 30 there. And when I do that press return and that will automatically start as well. Another thing I can do. I can actually see the next slide, which is here. I can actually click on it and change the science. Perhaps I wanna have a smaller or bigger. It's really up to you. And it is also quite nice to have the current slide here tells me that I'm in this light number one and I've got 15 slight to go through. And another thing of God. Here is the option to photo layout. I can click there, and it will automatically distribute my objects around. So if you have an external display or a projector connected to your laptop or desktop, you might see these presented this play popping up on the projector. So do not freak out so you can invert to have you presented displayed back to your computer display by just clicking on the invert I can hear you should be able to see it once you have an external monitor connected so you can click on that and that will bring you presented display in your laptop. For instance, you could do that as well. So after you finished customize your presented these play or you need to do is simply press OK and you pretty much ready to go. So all you need to do now is simply plug your computer to the projector or to the presented this player, the external monitor you're gonna use and test the display presenter to be on your side rather than the audience site 52. Presenting Live with iCloud: traditionally, you would deliver representation front of an audience. But what about doing it online through the Internet? So we can do that in keynote or nine and or eight as well By going to keynote life. Now we have these bottlenecks to our play. So if I click on that is going to ask me now to move my presentation to the cloud. So in order to do that, you have to click, can't move to cloud if you see instead something like system preferences. It probably wants you to enable your Arklow drive in your system preferences. So make sure you go into system preferences and make sure you enable that in I clouds. If you go to system preferences now and go toe iCloud, you have an option to enable your iCloud drive right on top here. So make sure you take that box and when you click on options, you should be able to seek he not here. So make sure you take that box if you want to use this feature. When I click on done, I'm gonna close my system preferences. I'm gonna go back here. I'm gonna move my keynote presentation to the cloud by clicking on Move to Cloud after my presentation is being uploaded. Now I can click on Keynote Life again, and now I've got these Welcome Window has present alive slideshow to viewers anywhere so they can watch that on a Mac on the IOS device as well, and on any browser for that matter. So if we can continue here, and I was going to give me an option to send the invite to my viewers so I can click on invite viewers and I contend the invitation by email my message. I can actually generate a link that I can copy and paste into my emails, or I can actually use air drop. As I said before now, I've got other options here on the more options. I can click on the triangle next to it, and you have got the link that I can copy and paste to whatever media I want. But up someone ascended by email and messages. It's really up to you, and you could also have an option to required a password, biopsies, a presentation you want to encrypt with a password, so only people with the past we can watch it so you can do that as well. And you have all turned option to play the presentation later. We can schedule this for later play, or you can actually play it now. So let's assume that your audience is ready to view your presentation quickly. Complaint now and what it does. It will start your presentation as you would normally see it in your screen. And now you can go forward with this light and you can actually see what they see as well. So you actually click with the mouse with the space bar or the other keys I showed you in previous movies and I can actually go and deliver that presentation as long as they can hear your voice and you have a mic, you go through the slides this way. Perfect. So I'm gonna just press escape And now you notice that the play button on top became green . What that means is, your keynote life is actually enabled. So this is the way to deliver your presentation using keynote life from the Internet 53. Using iPhone as remote: Let's have a look now at how the presented display looks like on iPhone song atop on Keynote. And here you see all of your recent documenting These recent presentations have got here some of mine, but I can go on top if it up on the plus sign, I can access to the themes I got the standard, the wide and also my theme as well. They've been sink through iCloud not press council for now. Not gonna tree any presentation here. I want to make my phone as a remote and I want to see the presented this place or after top on the play sign next to the plus sign here on the right, on the top on that. And now it's telling me that I can use my phone as a remote control to control my presentation. So I'm gonna press, continue down below, and now he's asked me to go to my Mac and connected through the WiFi and then I'm gonna go into keynote preferences. The top left and I've got an option here next to rulers, which is my remote click on promotes can enable that. And now my phone will appear on this list and click on a link. And now it's basically matching that code with my phone. If it is the same oppress confirm and now is basically telling me here on the phone to open a presentation to test it. So I'm gonna close this. I'm gonna go to my exercise violin, and I go to module nine and open the last module. For now, I'm gonna use this as an example. Press open. And now I've got an option on my phone to play it safe. A press play is going to play the presentation. I can see the slide on my iPhone, and I can even turn it sideways to see it. Bigger. Now, on the top writing corner, I've got a couple of tools. The 1st 1 is the drawing tools and the pointy tool. So I can use that with my finger on the on the iPhone to point at something if I wanted to breast done. If I finished, If I wanna switch to the seconds like Aiken, top on it to go to the seconds light and also you feel a vibration. Your phone is well when your top on it. So I can top on it there to go through different slides. Now, if I want to customize my presented display on my phone, I can top on the second icon from the top. Aiken top on that and I can see the layout option so the current will show me only the current slide. The next will show me only the next slide and, of course, of our current and next that I've also have current and note or next and notes so I can use , for instance, current and next. And I see now the presence like the next slide. If I want to see my presented notes, I can go to next and notes I don't have any notes, thereby fungal current and notes. I can see the notes full debt slide So I could even swipe to the right of the left to navigate my presentation. And I can see now on the right hand side of my phone. I've got my notes so I can go the very beginning off my presentation, and I've got my notes on the side. So if I turn it portrait, of course, is gonna show me this slide import review So I can actually flee, prove my slides by just stopping on this light itself. Eso It's very, very, very useful if you want to control the presentation using your iPhone. 54. Self playing presentation: keynote is not just the perfect softer for presentations is also perfect for product demos for kiosk Oh, concert demo as well. Now, if you're following along, you can open these fire call SP Demo Concierge Choosing your exercise files on the module eight. So this is all about showing the guests off this bed and breakfast. What tours are available in the area Now I make thes slides playing automatically, and they will play in look over and over. So there's no interaction, so the guest will only be able to watch it. The next video. I'm gonna show you how to make this interactive as well. So at the moment I just created this bunch of slides here. I've got the 1st 1 says, Welcome to our bed and breakfast. The second will show them as another slide with another text, and then you have the third text here says, for any questions or requests. There is no yesterday to speak with are concerned. Uh, the 4th 1 yet says we offer various stores during your stay, and then I'll show them a bunch off images here in full screen. And the last slide here is going to give them an option to choose. What tour? To check at the moment, though, all those lights playing automatically and in Look, in order to make this demo, you have to go into your document, inspector, here on the top, right hand corner. And make sure that slideshow settings have the first on the second option on so automatically playing upon open. There will be good to check that box and also look slideshow so it will stop the loop if you press escape. So if you want to avoid people to escape the presentation, of course, get rid of the keyboard from that Mac and that you have that Oh, from that external display at the bottom. Here you have a presentation type. I just chosen to have that in self playing. So from normal go to self playing and also here you have an option to choose how many seconds the slides gonna be on screen. And just for the sake of time, I chosen two seconds and two seconds for the builds. But you can also make that longer if you have more text than in to read. Perhaps you want to make that 10 seconds or more, It depends. Now, if I go to the first light here, you'll notice they're all gonna be playing for two seconds and then they're gonna go back to the top as well in I'm gonna just press play just to show you what it does. Not touching anything on the keyboard on mouse is gonna now go for the slides automatically . We hope you enjoying your stay for any questions or requests please do not hesitate to speak with are concerned. And we offer various tours during your stay and then is going to show them a bunch of slides, eight full screen images and then the next slide is gonna be our last light where they get to choose which tour to check. Of course, this is gonna go again to the first slide in a loop. Okay, express escape. So this is the simplest way to make a product demo or kiosk, demo or concerned the place automatically. But just changing the settings under the document Inspector. In the next video, I'm gonna show you how to make this more interactive when they can actually get to choose what tour to go and check here in slight number seven and I'm gonna show you also how to make this presentation self playing. If there is in activity for just a few minutes. 55. Self playing Demo Concierge: I'm gonna show you how to create a self playing interactive presentation for hotels, restaurants, bed and breakfast or any other businesses that might wants to have a demo presentation. So if you are following along, open the file. I s P so I s B stands for interactive self playing. Once you open the file, you can see on the left and said, I've got few slides here, so this presentation will play automatically in look, and it will stop on slide number seven when they get to choose what war to check. So if I click on these images, they will be redirected to the right slides down below. Now I'm going to demonstrate this just to show you how this look and then I'm gonna show you in the next video how to create this step by step Press play. Now, I'm not gonna touch anything on my keyboard and mouse. There's gonna basically go through different slides automatically. I said, I believe three seconds first, lights off course, you can have a longer transitions there, and I also applied magic move for each slide, so I didn't have to put any building animations. But if you want to. You can do that. You can also see full screen images gonna show you hold out at this very easily on your presentation and then is going to stop on this light. Now it's going to stay here until I choose the tour. I wanna check. So if I move my mouse So, general, is my cursor here as a handle? When I hover the cursor over these images and I can choose one of these that say, I've got here our lounge activities or our one day city tour. So if I click on the city tour here is going to zoom in is gonna show me a bigger image off the city tour and then is going to transition to the next slide. It says, Let's get ready for shopping and it's gonna have this nice animation and it's gonna give me a breakdown off the tour. We, the bullets that we know how to do not now and with a button at the bottom. This is going to stay here for a while. If I don't do anything, is gonna start again for the beginning. But if I want to interact with it, I can click on home and this will go back to the tour menu and I can go to the other one. I click on the other one is gonna open. The other one is gonna show me the full screen image. Then it's going. A transition to the next light is gonna show me the lounge activities and again is going to give me a breakdown. And I've got the same button at the bottom. I can click on it, and I could go back to this. So if these in activity and no one touches the mouse or keyboard so this presentation will start from slight number one. So I'm gonna press escape for now and the next movie, I'm gonna show you how to create this step by step. 56. Interactive Presentation: Now is the time to create our self playing interactive demo for our kiosk or concierge. At the moment, I'm just added a few slides here with no animations or transitions whatsoever. They just static, so you can actually use your own presentation and follow along. If you want to have exactly the same file as mine, just go to your exercise files and open the file. I s P demo concierge part one. If you want to follow along now, we to make sure these slight presentation will self play and also will be interactive at the same time. Now, if we go to the inspector on the document, we have a bunch of options on the presentation type. At the moment, we have normal, but then we also have a links on Lee and self playing. If I choose self playing, this will apply the self playing option to all my slight. So if they reach slide number seven, they won't be able to choose what tour to check. Because this will change after whatever seconds you set here in your specter, I want my guests to actually get to choose water to check. So in this case, yourself playing is not actually working for my interactive slights. Have to choose the other option in the pop up menu, which is links on Lee. Now, I can still make sure that my slides will play automatically and gonna show you how to do that right now. So if I going to slide number one, I can go to my animating my inspector here on the top, right hand corner. And as you notice the transitions here, start on Click. Now, I haven't actually at any effect so far, so I'm gonna make sure I've got an effect for all of my slight, Always. My suggestion is to use the same effect all of your transitions, just to make it less distracting. So in this case here, I'm gonna just highlight all of my slides. You can do that by placing the cursor at the bottom of your slides. If you can see the bottom and and click and hold the cursor up to highlight the mall. You can also use the command. A. Make sure you click on any of your thumbnails here, on the left hand side and in use command A to select a mall or you can click on the 1st 1 hold down, shift and click on the last one to do the same thing is up to you Which one you want to use after you highlighted all of your slides, you can go to the inspector here under animate and click on Add an effect and I'm gonna use magic move for now, you can use any other if you like, like magic move. And also, if you deal with images and text, the best match that I like is by character. Then we need to make sure that our transitions are automatically as well. In this case, Yeah, I want to have them automatic until slide number seven single. Just line number one, hold down shift and click. Slide number seven and then going to your inspector on the animate. Make sure the transitions will start on automatically. The delay, just the number of seconds you want that slide to be on screen. So in this case here, I'm gonna choose three seconds. Of course, you might want to choose something longer. If you have more texts to read, or if you have more going on in the slide and you won your guest to ever look at it for a longer time. It's really up to you at the moment. I'm doing step by step just to show you our on going through the process. So I'm gonna click on this line number one. So now I'm gonna test my slide to see if my transitions are working. Okay. And by the way, before you press play, go through this line number seven and make sure that transition years not starting automatically because if you do that, they don't get to choose anything, is gonna jump after five seconds to the next sleight, which we don't want. So I'm gonna change starting positions on click. Now, it will stay here until I do something about it. So I'm gonna breast the slide number one when a press played just to test it. If he's a bag, you can still go back and fix the bug again. Is going to go through each slides for three seconds off course. Choose your timing if you're more text on screen. And then I was gonna show me a bunch of full screen images, and then it's gonna go to slide number seven and It's supposed to stop here, and it does. So it's not gonna go anywhere else until I do something about it. Good. So I'm gonna press escape now The other things I have to do before going forward after. Highlight the rest of this light from a slide number eight to slide them. 12. Highlight them and make sure that transitions is on click so they don't start unless I do something about it. I can change this later, but for not for the moment, I just put them on click. Now, these works, Okay, until this light. Now I need to create some links, some buttons, so they get to actually click on whatever tour they want to go. So I'm gonna select this image, and I'm gonna right click on that, and I've gone option to add a link. Now, the link gives me an option to either jump to a different slide to go to a website or to an email. In this case here, I want to go to a specific slide. So when I go to slide and now I get to choose what slide I want to go, I want to go to the slide number 11 in this case because I put the lounge activities in slide 11 and 12. So I'm gonna go into slide here and choose slide number 12. By the way, when you create this links, make sure you have all the slides available on the thumbnails here, and then you can start to create your links. Because if you don't have this light available here is not gonna come up on the list. Of course. So I'm gonna choose slide number 11 and I'm gonna click away to save it. And as you can see now, I've got a little link icon here at the bottom, right hand corner off the image. Of course, when you play the slide show, you're not going to see that ugly link. You're only going to see the image and the other side. You're gonna right click again. I'm gonna go to edit Link. I'm gonna go to slide, and this light here is going to go into slide number eight and nine and 10. So I'm gonna go toe eight. So slide number eight perfect. And now I'm going to test this, so I'm gonna go into the play on top on a stains like number seven just to test this links . So it's here and see if I move the mouse and I can see the cursor on my slight show. And if I have the cursor over any of these two images, I've got this little hand coming up. So if I click on our lounge activity image is gonna zoom in with the magic move, it's gonna go full screen. I'm not gonna touch anything on screen and nothing's gonna happen, right? So I don't have to press the click to go to the next light. Well, actually, it doesn't doesn't do anything. So what should I do now? It looks like it's doesnt works of a press escape. I can fix that. So if I click on the link and I go to Sly number 11 I want to actually transition automatically from this light into the next light with my activity. So if I want these lights to transitions automatically to sly number 12 to show the lounge activities have to go into my inspector. So select this light first. Then you're going to animate Inspector. Make sure the star transitions is not on click, but automatically and choose how many seconds you want them to see this image. So when I have them for two seconds and that is going to transition automatically to Sly number 12 and in here, I want, of course, the transitions to beyond click. Because I want my guests to actually do something on this clip. So I've just created this button at the bottom here, which is my home button. How can I create one of these? I can go to shape. I can create a shape I can make this shape I want. I can double click and type anything I want here. Okay, After you create your shape, then you can right click on it. So in this case, I'm gonna delete that. But you can right click on that shape, and you can go to add link and use slight. Now, I can just go to slide number seven in this case is where the other tours are and just click away to save it. And now I've got that little link. So if I want to test this and can go back to slide number seven, I'm gonna press play. I'm gonna click on the lounge activities slide. It's gonna zoom that in, is going to stay here for three seconds are many seconds we set and then it's gonna jump into slide number 12 which is going to show me the lounge activity breakdown and also the button down below us. If I move the cursor and I click on the home button there is gonna go back into my tour chooser perfect using the beautiful magic move. Now that's breast escape. Let's go to my second. But in here. So we link that to slide number eight and then we want to make sure the transitions here is automatic. You going to stay here for a couple of seconds and that is gonna transition automatically to number nine And then this is just another image. But the actual tour schedule is on line number 10. So I can go to start transition automatically as well, because I don't want them to do anything here. I only want them to watch this light and then I'm gonna make this another couple of seconds . Then I'm gonna go into a slide number 10 where I've got my breakdown. The transition doesn't start automatically is on click. So it will stay here until they have read whatever schedule and they actually click on the button down below. So I have to create another link here is gonna link me back to slide number seven. So I'm going to right click on that shape and again, you can have any shape you like. You can go to add link slide and now I'm gonna link them back to slide number seven when a click away. And I'm gonna test this to test this, I'm gonna go back to my slide chooser on a press play and now I'm going to click on the second tour. It's gonna zoom in. It's going to stay here for a couple of seconds and then it's gonna jump into the other this light and again. It's gonna transitions beautifully with the magic move animation into my breakdown. Perfect. So it's going to stay here, is gonna wait for me to do something. And if I click on home, I'm gonna go back to the tour chooser perfect when a press escape. So my transitions here are working. Fine. Now the only thing I need to change is on the document now here. I've got slideshow settings. If I want to play this presentation in loop, I can just do loop, slide show. And also, if I want to restart this after in activity, if the guests do not touch the mouse, not choose anything after they come to slide number seven, I'm going to restart the presentation after a few minutes, so I can actually use in activity for one minutes, just for the sake of timing. And then I'm gonna just test this. So I'm gonna go into slide number one, and I'm gonna test this. So this will actually play automatically from slide number one to slide. Number seven is going to stay here until they click on whatever tour. If you're gonna click anywhere, we will restart the presentation. Let's test that. Let's go to slight number one and press play. And by the way, you can also record your voice over which I'm gonna show you how to do that in the next movie. Um, so at the moment is just self playing. My slides. Transitions is automatic. And now we're gonna test if he's going to stay in slammed on a seven for a minute. Okay? another image going to see the other image. Perfect. And now we should be able to see slide number seven. And then he of course we can move the mouse. But if I don't touch the mouse now for a minute, we're gonna check if he's going to start again. Now, I'm gonna fast forward this video and see if he's gonna work or not so perfectly starting again and after the minute off in activity. So you can actually make that longer to impress escape. So these presentational is interactive in self playing as well. And now you know how we did it. By creating those links here and how to actually use the transitions in our inspector in the next video gonna show you how to record your voice for yourself playing presentation 57. Record voiceover narration: Now it's the time to record our voice or any other audio that we want to add to our presentation. We might want to add perhaps a music track or perhaps generation voice. I'm gonna use my voice for this presentation. If you want to follow along, open the file. I SB demo concierge part two. Well, the wise choose one of your presentations if you want to. So if you want to record a voice, I can actually go to the slide. I want to record a voice to and say I want to record a front line number one and actually want to read the text that I've got in each slight until I am in slide number seven. So I'm gonna do that. Now You have to go into the inspector on the document Nuclear. Khan told you. So you got document and old? Your top pops up. Click on that. And now I've got the option to record. I can also add a song from my iTunes. You might wanna have a classical song or any other song that you want to add into presentation, and you can just apply here by pressing the plus button and access to your music here. So I can actually choose, for instance, one of this. And then this will play. I can play. I can check the volume from here. So I say, I want to play that and I just play just to rehearse it. And I just set the volume. Uh, okay, is working. So after I chosen my song, I could actually go on top here and decide if I want to play it once. If I play in loop in this case, I want to play in look so these will play over and over from my presentation. Otherwise, if you want to add your voice So you just pressed on the song of press backspace to remove it. Now I'm gonna record my voice by clicking on a record So when I click on it, I've got my presented display. I got my notes as well. If I want to add some notes very useful and down at the bottom here, I can actually check the volume of my mic And I can press record once I'm ready. So I'm gonna do it now Give me a countdown. Welcome to our bed and breakfast. We hope you enjoy your stay for any questions or requests. Prisoner Hesitate to speak with our consumers. We offer various tours during your stay. Choose your tour here. Okay, let me stop there. But let me just stop by using the record button. If I want to pose it to compress the polls battle like I did now and breast stop now I can release into it by using these bar at the bottom. So that's I want to listen up to this light and press play. Okay, Let me stop there. Let's I want to get rid of that part. For instance, I can read record that slight. So it's I wanna record from here, and press record is gonna give me an option. Top. Are you sure you want to read record from the current location? The recording from here to the end will be replaced. Perfect. I'm gonna click on that countdown again. Choose your tour here. So I just clicked on the record button to stop it. And then if I release in to a sly number seven, choose your tour here. Perfect. So I'm gonna press the X icon at the top here. Top right hand corner to exit the slide show. And as you notice now, I've got my inspector, my recording that I could either leave it as it is or clear it and start again. So I'm gonna leave it like this. I'm gonna go to slide number one, and I'm gonna test it if it works. Play. And I was going to say, I want to play on this Mac or for when I played that record. A slight show. Very useful again. I'm gonna click on play recorder slideshow. Welcome to our bed and breakfast. We hope you enjoy your stay for any questions or requests. Prisoner. Hesitate to speak with our consumers. We offer various tours during your stay. Perfect. So I'm gonna breast escape for now. So this is the way to record your voice on your presentation. And again after you've done yourself playing interactive presentation, you can also add music or any other Oh, dear, that you prefer. And also videos as well. If you haven't watched that video on how to add movies on your sleight place, ever look at that. And this is the way to create yourself playing interactive presentations 58. Share & Export Presentation 001: So let's talk about all the different ways we can share an export. Our presentation. We might need some help from our coworkers or our colleagues or some other people from our team to chip in and put their own ideas into our keynote and carry on with the presentation . So one of the way to export this is by going to file, we're gonna go to export. Now, there are several ways now in Kenya on I know we can export. We have pdf PowerPoint movie. We can also use animated GIF now get exported as images as HTML and also as a keynote 09 as well, which is the previous version of Keynote. In this case here, we're gonna go to pdf, which stands for portable document format, which is a locked document so people can open this document using Adobe Acrobat if they have a Windows computer. If they have, A Mac is gonna open directly in preview. So I'm gonna click on pdf, and he have got a bunch of options that I see down below here on the pdf so I can have, for instance, include the presented notes so I can actually take that box. I can also print each stage off built or what I mean, is this forgot Slides a chance. The one with the table that I used magic move in it to magnify my table. I might wanna have that, um, in separate stages. Arm I wanna have that as a as a final product. I could leave the antic and have that Onley as one stage. But I also got some charts at the end, which are interactive, and those will not show if I keep this antic, I want to have the ability to see all the different stages off my charts, especially for interactive charts. So in this case here, I want to have that. So I'm gonna take that box as well for image quality. I want to make sure that the size off my document is not too big for in this case, I can click on that and choose something, maybe to lower in quality. Perhaps I wanna have better or good. If I want to reduce the size off my pdf in this case, I'm gonna use good. I also have an option to include skipped slides, so we haven't covered that yet I'm gonna cover in a separate video or how to use Skipped Slight and also have an option to require passed A to open. So if I take that box is going to give me an option to set up a password. So this is just to have an extra encryption to your presentation in case you want to keep it protected. So I'm gonna just antique that for now and unlikely Contin next. Now I'm gonna choose that this initial folders gonna be in the desktop, so I'm gonna make it very easy to see. And then I'm going to rename that as, um final praise on station prison station. How quickly can export. Now I can hide my keynote by going to command h o by just going to the keynote on a top menu bar and click on Hide Keynote. And now I've got my pdf here so I can double click that And I could open now the document with all my sliders, you can see I've got each slide in a a smaller view and all of my notes down below so I can go through all the different slides. Just quite nice if I keep on scrolling down now is gonna show me all the different build for each individual slight. And the reason why I did that is because I have got some off this slide with charts in it that requires to have the different stages, for instance, my interactive charts Now as to slights. So this one here and this one here as well. So I've got all the transitions, and then I've got my finals light. So here is the way to view my pdf and now I'm be able to send this by email. If I wanted to buy just right clicking on it, I can share that by email, by message by air drop by notes on all the different ways to send it and share it. 59. Exporting as Still Images: another way to share your presentation is by exporting it as a still image is so I can go back into the file on top, and I can go to export. I can use images so I can click on that. And now I've got these other dialog window that popping up here. And now I've got the option to either save them all or just save specific arrange. Perhaps I wanna have them from perhaps slide number three to see my number nine. I can do that here. In this case, I want to export a mole. Also have an option to create an image for each stage of bills. So if I got animations as a showed you before and I want to retain all of them, I can take that to include all the stages. Andi, Also, I can actually change the style. And also, I can change the format here on the former. Go to that pop up menu. I can choose JPEG high quality, smaller qualities. So a little bit lower p and G and T i f f. So I'm gonna choose J. Paige high quality and likely con. Next. I'm gonna choose my desktop, and this is gonna save them in. So there's gonna save all of my slight as each individual image. So I'm gonna sport now. I'm gonna hide my keynote by doing command age. And now I've got a folder call sharing export presentation or one as the one that I named actually haven't named it, but I could have named it before exporting it. But in this case, I'm gonna double click on that. And I've got all of my slide. Now here the cool thing that they are all named and numbered at the end as well. So if I click on any of this press space bar to preview it and there we go, this is my image, and I can go through the different images as well on dykan see all the different bills. Andi, that looks pretty cool. So I can just press space bar again to close it, Or if you want to open it up, you can double click, and it's gonna open in preview. So I'm gonna just close preview and Angela close this. So this is the other way to export your presentation as still images 60. Exporting as a Movie: another great way to export and share your presentation with other people, especially to those who don't have a Mac computer. You might want to export this as a movie. So if you export as a movie, it will retain all the animations exactly as you see them in keynote. So I go to file and going to export. I can go to movie and I can click on it. And now I've got a bunch of options down below here. Now, on the playback. I've got the option to self play and also have the option to slight short recording. But that is only enabled when you change the settings in your documents under the inspector talks in previous videos. Now I'm gonna leave it as it is, and I can choose which slide I want to play. In this case, I want to play all of them and I can choose also the timing between the transitions and the built. So in this case, for the sake of time, I'm gonna make this very short. I'm gonna make it two seconds and the built as well. Two seconds. The resolution also can be changed. I can have 7 20 I can also have 10. 80 as well. And I can also make it customizable as well. If I do there, I've got bunch of options down below here. Now, to make this faster, I'm gonna just use 7 20 which is thes Moeller version and also tells you hear that this resolution works faxed for playing on the iPad. I put many iPhones and iPod touches so unlikely caught on next now. And I'm gonna export into my desktop renamed this actually gonna call it Final Presentation movie so I can actually see it impressed. Export. So this will take a little bit, depending on the number of slides you have in the number off animations and built. And after the exporting has done, I can just hide like keynote by going to keynote hide keynote! And now I've got my movie here, and I can double click on it to play it so that will play with my players, which is V l c. But you can actually use quick time as well. So V. L. C is the universal player that plays on Mac and PC. As you notice my presentations go quite fast because I used to seconds per build, but everything is retained. All the animations are retained and even the music. So I haven't actually enabled the music for this presentation, but it will play the music as well. So I'm gonna just press the space bar to stop it and close it. If I wanna launch this using quick time, I can right click on it, go to open with, and I can use quick time as well. This is a great way to retain all of your animations and all of your bills exactly as they are in keynote and share with people who do not have a Mac. 61. Printing Slides and Notes: another way to share your keynote presentation is by printing yours light. So I'm gonna go to file here on top and I'm gonna go to print. Shortcut is command P. So when I do that, I should be able to see this style of parks. If you don't see it, you probably see something like this. If you haven't printed before in keynote, you might see this instead. So you need to simply click on short details to reveal the further options here on the right hand side. So I've got an option here to basically choose our many pages. I want to print how many copies are also have the option to choose a selection. Perhaps I have selected something previously before pressing the print, and I could actually select multiple slides. So, for instance, or press council and a highlight, for instance, the That's a slide number to hold down the shift key or the command key. And I click on Slide number five. For instance, Highlight this four. If I go to file and print now, I can just choose selection and there will print on Lee. These four highlighted slight or can actually go to from here and choose the range that I want manually. The other options of cohere down below is keynote menu that allows me to change. The page attributes the layout, the cover page, etcetera, and all the print of features as well. And this will change according to your printer model. I'm gonna keep it as keynote and down below. You have got four options. I can either print the slide itself as it is. I can also go to grit and use that as a great I can also print the handouts. Perhaps I wanna print this out for my audience to take notes for each slide, or I can even use outline. So if I got some taxed within my presentation, you should be able to see that text here as well. So I'm gonna go back to slight and down below. Here, I've got a bunch of columns, got slide layout and options under slightly out of going option to use page margins. So if my printer prints exactly on the edges off the page on my lose some details. So in order to retain the entire slide, I can click on that and that will place a frame around my slide. I can also include presented notes. If I do that, I will make this light like thumbnail and I could actually see the text the notes down below. I can also include a slight number so I can have a slight number. Like a normal documents down below is very tiny here, but issued appear at the bottom middle off the screen. And you also have an option to include name and date. So there's gonna be the name of your presentation that was gonna appear at the bottom right hand corner here with the date as well, which is quite nice on the options. I can print the slide background. So if I got some background which is dark, like this one here, like seven or, for instance, 10 11. Quite dark. If I want to save on ink, I can antique that. And that will change the aspect off my preview. As you can see, if I can take that now, my slides are very, very plain, but I can save on Inc. The second is print each stage or build. So I can do that. If I got some interactive charts and I won't have them in a separate slight. I need to basically include that as well. Otherwise you can leave. The antic I've got include skipped slides. So this is the option to include slide. You don't want to play. I'm gonna show you in future videos out of skip your slide. And also, if you want to print draft quality images, perhaps you want to save even more in ink, I can actually click on that. And it's gonna basically print a lower solution off. Your slight sometimes is more than enough for your audience to follow through or for yourself to look at them as a reference. And then I can just breast print. I can also choose the number of copy. Perhaps I want to copy it to a new audience of 20 people and I want to make 20 copy of it. Now, I'm gonna skip this. I'm gonna not gonna print it now by breast council. So this is the way to basically print out your presentations. Lights having a bunch of options under the print section 62. Skipping Slides: Now, when it comes to export and share your presentation to someone else, you might want to skip some slides or you might want to hide them. So the way to do that is by clicking on the thumbnail here on the left hand side. Select ones light or more than one and right click on it, and there's an option he had to skip the slide. If I do that here, for instance, if I do it for slide number four, I can just do that and click on Skip Slight. So when I play my presentation now, that slide will be skipped. So this is the way to skip your slide that you can also click on there again to view it. And I can also right click again to unskilled pit to go back as he was. So you can do that at any time, whether you want to deliver your presentation and skip them temporarily, or whether you want to export them and then skip the one you don't want to share 63. Exporting Slides as Animated Gif: with his new version of Keynote. We can export slides as animated GIF so I can do that by going to file and I could go to export. And I've got an option to export animated GIF so I can do that. And I've got bunch of options here so I can choose the range of slide of one to trigger an animation from, Let's say, I want to create animation off slides number two and three. I've got a nice transitions between the two paragraph there, So I'm gonna choose that by going to the slide to open a press tab to go to the next field . I'm gonna choose three, so I wanna have just a nice gift. I could also change the resolution from extra large to small. I'm gonna keep it a medium for now, the frame rate. So this is the frame per seconds. So the resolution off my gift so the higher the number, the better it is, So I'm gonna leave it as 24 frames per seconds. So the auto advance is basically the timing between one build to the next, and you can see that by hovering the cursor over that little pointed error. And it tells you here, choose how long to wait before advancing to the next slight or build. So I'm gonna leave it as it is, and it tells you here how long that gift is going to be. It's going to be four seconds, and the resolution is gonna be for 80 by 2 70 which is fine with me. I'm gonna leave it like this on the breast next, and I'm gonna export it into my desktop. I'm gonna call it final presentation. Well, aren't breast export now? I'm gonna hide my keynote. Hi. Keynote on. I should be able to see that gift. So I'm gonna click on the gift on a press space bar to preview it. And I was gonna play our little animations there. So this is one the way to create gift file using the new keynote 64. Collaboration via Comments: Now, there are a couple of ways we can share our presentation for collaboration purposes. Perhaps we want to involve other people in chipping in and perhaps adding their own ideas and their own animations and their own graphics into your presentation. One of the way is to actually send a copy, do your presentation to your friends or to co workers. And by doing that, they can actually add their own modification, their own adit and amendments, by the quickest way for you to find out what they did is by using comments. So before you even send a presentation to someone we can use the comments section. But before we do that, me to set up something under preferences were gonna go into keynote in the top left hand corner on the preferences. I'm gonna make sure that on the general we have under the author, section our name. Make sure you put your name there because every common cheaper is gonna have your name next to it or whatever other person you involve into your collaboration. So I'm gonna put my name in There is very there's unlikely Kanda red button. And now I'm ready to use the comment. Now I can apply the comments to the entire slide or to each individual objects or even cells or elements within a slight. So, for instance, let's click on the slide here. And perhaps I want to communicate something about the slide and perhaps are not happy about the shape about the way it looks. So I can click on, for instance, on the slide itself here on my left inside and without clicking on anything on selecting anything on my slide. Again, click on comment on top. So when I do that, the comment will come up here on screen. Let me just zoom in a little bit more. Go 200% here. Well, actually, even more 125. As you can see, I've got my name on top and I can actually say here, feel free to modify days Slight wave, a different look so I can do that. So that allows me to then save it. So I want to save what I just typed. I can just click away, and that will save my comment. If I want to delete it, I can click on delete, and if I want to jump to the next comment. I can use these arrows here. Direction keys on the site. Now I haven't added any other comments, so this one do anything. But for now, I can just leave it as it is, and I can go to a difference light. Let's go back into fit slide to go back to the previous view. So this comment will apply to the entire slide's. Let's go into a difference, like let's go to my tables light here and let's select a specific section and say, I want to click on the image. I'm gonna click on comment so as you know it is now the comment will automatically be attached to the image with this little flag here at the top left. Now I can write my comment so I can say, Please change the images. We better once if you have any, so I can click on done to save it. Now you have the option to the lead, of course, and they will also have these view, and they can actually reply to that comments by saying Yes, I dated. Or perhaps I couldn't find any images, etcetera, etcetera. So now I can actually jump between the comments. And now that I've got more than one, I can go to the back button here to go back to the previous. What can go forward to jump to the next comment, and they're gonna be able to see the comment by simply hover the cursor over the image over the object, and the comment will appear automatically without me clicking on doing anything just by hovering the cursor over the object will show me the comment. Perfect. Now let's say I want to deliver this presentation while I'm collaborating with others so I might want to actually hide these comments sober. Perhaps I've got these comments here, and I've got the other one. That kind of took the old the whole page here so I can actually go into view and go to a section called Comment and I can hide my comments. I can also show the next comment or the previous comment the same as the arrow keys I've got in my comment section here and also have the option to change the comment collar. He have got bunch of different colors that I can choose from, so let's leave it as is, and I'm gonna just hide comments so that will hide my comment. And if I go back to the other charts, that comment is also disappeared from him. But I want to retrieve a back and go to view comment and show comments again. So then I can share this to someone else, having go to share on top and go to send a copy, and then I can send it via mail, my messages and other way to share your documents with someone. Now bury mind. They're gonna work on a copy, so you would have to basically received their copy from them before you can make other modifications. If you want to involve more people into your presentation, we might want to collaborate by using the collaborate button that we're gonna talk about in the next video. 65. Collaboration using iCloud: Now, the best way to collaborate with multiple people or with the Tim using your keynote presentation is by using collaborate. So we're going to collaborate here on top. I've got an option to basically move my keynote into the cloud. So if you haven't set up, you iCloud yet is gonna ask you to set it up in system preferences and also is gonna ask you to move your keynote presentation into your iCloud. Once you've done that, you should be able to see this window. And now I've got a bunch of options that allows me to share my presentation so I can share by email. I can share my messages. I can even use copy link by generating a link, and I can share it to whomever I want. Organ use airdrop as well. I'm gonna use copy link for now. And you have got the option to add people in using their email address or their name organ Click on the plus button toe access to my contact list here. I'm gonna just type anymore address and I'm gonna send it to this person, which is me. But I just have an alternative email just to show you our looks when someone receives it. And then I've got a bunch of options as well down below, click on the triangle Next to share options. Now, I can make this presentation only available to people who have my invitation or anyone with the link so I can choose to have either that all the one on top references from want to share it with someone else And they know other people that can collaborate. And I don't know the email off. I can actually use this option. Anyone with Link what can actually only have that available for people? Why invite and the permission down below allows the person receives it to make changes or to view on Lee. So it's up to you. So in this case, I'm gonna leave it as make changes and they're unlikely Can't share. Now the collaboration is starting, and I can see this Progress bar on top. It s starting collaboration. There's gonna take a little bit, so I'm gonna wait a few instance until that is finished. And as soon as my presentation is up in the cloud, I should be able to see now my collaborate button in green or in different color, so I can check now my email here and see how the other person's receives it. So I'm gonna go here. That's the email that they received. They gonna receive something like this and I can actually click toe open the share presentation this is gonna open in iCloud and they're busy going to see the presentation in a browser format and that's always gonna look like on the browser. So you have this light on the side here on the left hand side. You got a list of tools on top so you can actually click on any of these Slide. And I've got my inspector here on the right hand side of got my tool bar on top. And I can make all the different modification that I want by just clicking on the object, double clicking and do the amendments that I need having all the features that you have on the Mac on the browser as well. So they're gonna have to have a Mac. They can just have an Internet connection with a browser where they can open the presentation. Now they can make any modification simultaneously while you're working on your keynote on your computer and receive those modifications as well the same time, which is pretty cool. Now, in this case, I'm gonna close this for now. I'm gonna go back into my keynote. Now I can click on Collaborate here on top and I can see all the people that I'm sharing the keynote with. I can click on the little ellipses next to the name, and I can either against send another invitation by email. Or I can also change the permission to be view on Lee if I want to or even remove that person. Now, if you have more than one person that you share your presentation with instead off removing the access to each individual person, I will probably go into share option stumble here, click on the triangle next to it and then perhaps stop sharing it all together so you could do that as well. So I really can't. Now stop sharing, and I'm gonna call, Okay? And now my collaborate button here on top should turn off from green to gray back in grade . There we go. This is the best and quickest way to share your keynote presentation using the collaborate button 66. Exporting to Powerpoint: Now, you might want to share these keynote presentation with someone who doesn't have a Mac. Perhaps have a PC on what you can do. Actually, is export the presentation as a power point? So that's what we're gonna do in this movie that I'm going to file. Gonna go to export to. We're gonna use Power Point now. I've got a bunch of options here. Down below Go PowerPoint. I can actually enable a password if I wanted to. We can go to advance options if I click on the triangle next to it. I've got an option to change the former either to the dot bpt X, which is the new format. Farpoint Walking is the older version off Power Point, which is thought PPT which comes from the version in 1997 to 2003. So, in this case, I'm gonna leave it as actual PPT X and I'm gonna click on next American Export into my guest Stop as it is, and I actually call it final presentation. Frankly, con export. After you exported, it usually comes up with some sort of warning off changes that my occur between the keynote and the part point in this case here. I've got a couple of changes of God. Grady in text fields are repeated on each line off the text. So this is something that perhaps is not compatible. Wait, Power point And the other one is interactive charts were converted to standard charts. So I've got some interactive charts here which has three different stages, and that is being converted essentially to three different charts in Power Point, which is not a problem when I click on. OK, I'm gonna hide my keynote. And I happened to have power point on these computers. So I'm gonna go into the Power Point presentation here, and I'm gonna double click to open in PowerPoint so we can actually compare. So what it's just you do is to go to each individual, slide here in PowerPoint and check if there are any major changes. So I'm gonna go through some slide, and it looks like they look pretty much the same. Kind of retained all the format as well. She did quite a good job here. Um, and of course, here presents I've got this lines is connection lines that I probably need to modify in a power point. Then I'm gonna go down here and just to further check if my presentation looks all right, so it looks okay So far. And for since my charts here has now three different stages showing up on this light, I can even click on it and change the aspect by moving around. If I want to make it larger, it's up to you. And, of course, the last slight. Okay, so it looks like, OK, so far. But let's play it and see our looks. I'm gonna go to slideshow here on the menu bar and click on play from Start and let's see how it looks. Now I've got the music starting with the 2nd 1 that slide. There are some changes on from the effects just fine. Comey to change his lines. I'm gonna breast escape same way I do. Aquino taken due in part point. So it's not too bad, actually, as just changes slightly in terms off animations. But for the rest, overall is not too bad or I need to do is simply go through each individual's light, perhaps do some tweaking and some changes there for the rest. Everything can be done pretty much on our point, but of course the animation and the effects will be different 67. Reducing File size: sometimes sharing presentation nowadays with all these new media's and high resolution images and videos could be very, very difficult, especially because some presentation can actually take up to 203 100 or even more megabyte representation. So it's gonna be very difficult and harder to share it with someone else. One of the way to solve that problem is to reduce the file size of your keynote presentation. Now, I'm gonna hide keynote for a second and just want to show you how big this file is oppressed command. I just to see how big this violence this final moment is. 62.6 megabytes, which is quite big. It's not too big, but there are other presentation. I can actually take more space now. There is a way to reduce this by going to our keynote again. I'm gonna go to file and we're gonna go to reduce file size now with Kino nine. I got bunch of options here that I can change, for instance, and the general I've gone option to scale down large images which I want to do. I also have an option to remove trained parts on movies and audio, which is brilliant. So, for instance, if I edit movie or no deal and I trained them down, I can get rid of the access or anything that I don't play another option. He had them below his movie format. I can have them all into NH 264 which is a compatible format for the Web, which is perfect. Oh, I can preserve the original form. It is really up to you. I would have called the option to change the movie quality as well. I can change too. From 10. 80 for instance, to a draft qualities smaller file size or four K is really up to you, so I can keep a 10 80. Now, I can either reduce this presentation as a copy. So I'm gonna make a copy of my presentation and reduce the size, or I can reduce the same file. Well, in this case, I just want to demonstrate how this works. I'm gonna click on reduce a copy. I'm gonna say into my desktop, which is easy to do, and I'm gonna cool this copy. I'm not impress safe. I was converting all my media within the slight. I'm gonna just hide now my presentation gonna go back into my desktop, and now I've got the copy. If I do command I now and I do want so command I on my original you'll notice is went considerably down from 62 megabyte to 27.7. So you can save a lot of space. And also, it will make easier to share your presentation with somebody else. 68. Retrieving missing media: If you want to collaborate with other people and sharing your presentation with them, they might want to reorganize your slide in certain manner. And they might need to access to all of your media files. Perhaps all the images that you add into your presentation and all the videos and movies and anything else. Eso Sometimes you might not have access to this media. Perhaps you have downloaded stuff from the Internet and you drugged and directly into your presentation, and you probably haven't saved him Sometimes happened to me as well. So in that case, there is an option in keynote. Now, you know, nine to actually make your file as a package. So I'm gonna show you other means in a second press command age to hide my keynote. Now, as you can see here in module nine, I've got my file. My presentation, if I rightly calm that is just a keynote file cannot access to the actual document and all the content within their presentation. But there's a way in keynote nine now to make this fire as a package. So if I go back into my keynote, if I go to file, I'm going to advance in click on change file type from single file to package. So when I do that, gonna wait a few seconds and then I'm gonna just reduce my keynote here or just hide it. And I go back to my file here, and I right click. Now I should be able to see show package contents. So if I do that now, I've got the package content. In my finder, I can click on something like Meta data or something like data as well, and I've got here. It's all the images and all the media that I used in my presentation very, very handy to kind of share this with someone else. So if I click on any of this, you can see all the thumbnails, all the images and anything else that I used throughout this presentation so I can actually share these with someone else and they can rearrange my slides using these media. This is a perfect way to retrieve all the images from a presentation. Of course, if you want to revert that back, he can go back into your presentation. You can go back to file under advance change file, type and click back to single file 69. Wrapping Up and What's next?: Well, congratulations.
