1. Course introduction: Hello everyone. I welcome you to this lumen crash course. Lumen is one of the fully fledged and most user-friendly 3D software out in the market for architectural visualization, lumi and has 12 versions currently. Lumen first version was released in December 2010. My name is Christian path or Ana. I'm a civil engineer in 3D designer and I'm the founder of creation renders. They have done more than 60 architectural and structural projects, including expertise on virtual reality, 360 views, etc. By subscribing to this course, you will be able to learn photorealistic renderings and lumen, and you will be able to advance your knowledge as a beginner to advanced more than two hours of lessons. The whole package will include aluminium file containing an image and a video ready exterior house project. Lumen is user-friendly software. Navigation and controls are straightforward, like you are playing a video game. Further, lumi and can integrate OpenStreetMaps directly into your model. Lumia and has more than 6 thousand of 3D objects from ever motion, a, XYZ, sp3, and Autodesk. Furthermore, lumen has a vast variety of material libraries built into its system. We can use animated 3D models, animated vegetations, lightings, and animated vehicle movements. Lumia, and also consists of a terrain model or to build your terrain. I welcome you to this lumen course. It will be amazed at how quickly you can learn from this course. I guarantee you, you will not disappoint at all. 3. Benchmark Test & Create new Function: Hello everybody. The ANA with the Lumi and lemon crash co-hosts. Actually, I have started the lumen live in and as you can see, this is the home page welcome screen for the linear limit. And here you have created new examples, benchmark and Lord and COUNTIFS functions here. So initially, but you have to do is you'll have to check you a benchmark. Benchmark and it will show how good is your computer compared with the lumen performance. As you can see, I have RDX 3070 graphic cards. And it's actually more than recommended by the lumen team. Actually, what you can do is you can rerun the benchmark like this. You just have to click here and here the benchmarking progress again. As you can see, I got pretty good results because my computer is quiet. High performance. Remember that if you have low graphic cards, I mean less than g dx or some other graphic card, you will get minimal or in-between minimal and Recommended Settings and it will directly affect your model when you are doing a deed on lumen. So remember that if you are doing a high poly model, you will get effected if your computer has low performance. I will go back to the main screen and what I'm going to teach you about today's create new function. As you can see, there are nine environments here. This is a plane environment and the beach environment and a mountain range for SN1 and desert situation, and a tropical environment and some suburban residential area. And here you have a windy environment. And this is for a design showcase for alike architectural submission. You can give a project like this. What we're gonna do is we're going to create a plan environment here. As you can see, this is C lumen independence, actually, pretty easy until you have left planner here and a small right panel with some settings and image and video rendering capabilities. In top-up the screen you have layers, tab, DCC, the lumen interface. 4. Lumion Sample Projects: Okay, we are back at the welcome screen of Lumiere level. As you can see, we have talked about Create New, and now we're going to talk about examples. The examples was given by the lumen team actually. So there are nine examples. These are image and video ready. Examples. As you can see, I will just click this downtown development model. If you want to merge, you are modal With this example steel. You can able to do that in Lumen. I will explain it to about later about how we are going to merge it and how you can export settings from this image and video examples. So as you can see, these models was given by the lumen team. Actually. You can see, you can walk around and I will talk about the moment and camera movements and those things in next lectures. This is a one example. If you want to go back to interior, just click here. Image ready and video already and all the materials assigning the settings for the image and video and standby lumen team. I will talk about those functions in next lectures. Likewise, you have nine examples. You can walk around these nine examples. Some are really unique to aluminum level, this sample for which p. Charles and this belying can sail and this downtown development also some others are used in Lumia 1098. So that's all thing. You should learn about these examples. 5. Load and Save Function: The final function we're going to talk about in welcome screen off lumen, 11 months. Load function. If you just click here, you can see the previous files, what you have done in Lome on and as you can remember, I have told you about March projects. You can actually merge to tweet lumen files into one if you're doing it in, in your model. And still you can able to merge that you are project with the projects which have given by the lumen team that actually Image and Video Ready projects so you can import those settings to you our model to enhance your final rendering. Likewise, here you have a save as fungi, if you are doing it in newer, in the lumina interface, you can save your model as a lumen file. And I think we talked about the lumen live and welcome screen. Now we will move onto create new function in next lecture. 6. Lumion Home interface: Now we're going to talk about this left side tab been looming. One of the most important tab in limine because it contains assets in lumen, that means you are models, interior, exterior vegetation, all things are located under here. So here you have important, important models with nature and fine detail nature, people and animations, effects, that means Particle Effects file effects and audio files and some utilities, some lights, some transportation models like vehicles, boats, airplanes, likewise, some Hutto and indoor models. And you have here the placement tabs when you are placing an object on the interface and you can move from here and you can rotate the object and you can scale down or up from here, and you can delete the object. And here also some movements like if you want to move up the asset, if you want to move horizontally, or maybe type in where you can locate the asset. So here, if I just click import new model, as you can see, lumen, you can actually import the 3D object files and the AutoCad real DW, DWG files that may indeed be XFN, DWG files and Collado files. The X-Files, SketchUp files, 3D Max files, 3D files are then the object files. And just remember that some of the FBX files to send contain their pictures while you are importing it to lumen. Full showcase just, I'll just export. I will just import a modern house SketchUp file from my library. Just click here. You can change the name for in CINAHL just more than one. Likewise, here you can have a subcategory that contains only one model. Assets like modern one. Likewise, remember that they are alive. Sinc function is available for softwares like Autodesk form it, SketchUp, rabbit are KitKat, AutoCad, rhino, vector graphics and breaks kid. You can live sync speed the lumen. I will just show SketchUp how the live sync work. As you can see now, here. Here is my model. I will just click here and you can see the model. And I will just adjust imported from SketchUp. And from here, you can actually select this arrow and you can change the height of the module. You'll have important or maybe if you want to move horizontally, I'll just show here this more free. That means it will not debate if you want to move up or maybe move horizontally. All thing you can do is from this movie pre-taped. But I prefer this move up initially and just To like this, and if you want to move horizontally, we can move, it will move same horizontal height like this. If you just click type in, you can type maybe if you want to like 000000. And as you can see, some of the fluorines are now under the terrain. So what I'm gonna do is I'm just going to, likewise, if you wanted to rotate the object, we can just click this rotate button and you can rotate it. Likewise, there will be a blue dot. Just remember that if you want to move the object what you have imported from the SketchUp, you have to click this blue dot. And if you want to rotate it, you just click this blue dot here and you can rotate it from a same zeros, zeros 0. Or maybe this from orientation you can change the horizontal direction or maybe if you wanted to. Vertically like this, or maybe like this. Remember that these little leaders are really important when you are dealing with looming interface. Again, you can scale up or down from this one. Just click the blue dot and just click the left mouse button. And just click. You can click the left mouse button and you just have to go up from the mouse button. Or maybe if you want to scale down, you have to go down like this. Just remember if you don't want to do that, you just have an idea about these things. Being like this model is one next, if you want to increase the size of this model by 1 pi x, that means 1.5 times the current position. You just have to go like this. Ten times. If you want 3.5 times. This is 1.83 times likewise, okay, just remember that. But remember that if you are increasing the size of the model, but the thing is the nature size, these are accurate sizes within the lumen. Default assets will be on their sizes so you have to match those sizes as well. Just remember that when you are increasing the size, just try to do it on SketchUp already. Do exact sizes. I mean, while you're doing it, SketchUp and the rabbit, and then import into Lumia. Now you have the idea about SketchUp important, same thing, same like the other sub-tests. So I'll just show you how the SketchUp licensing work. You have to install this plugin from extension warehouse. From SketchUp actually. So when you have installed this widget, you have this kind of tab. If you want to live seeing this object, you will just have to click this Play button. Then SketchUp will automatically sync with the lumen. Just give it some time. You can see here you can see the percentage of sinking. Now, we have completed the sinking in Lumia and it will take another couple of minutes. Just be patient. As you can see. Now I'll just Lumia. And actually, as you can see here, if you just, these items are all from important items. If you want to move and important items you just need to click this button. Otherwise you cannot find this blue button if you want to move vegetation, I mean a nature, that mean tree, you just have to click this button, man. There is a small button and beyond, but maybe middle of the asset. Remember that now, the nature tab, that means you cannot move these assets. It speaks. In order to move, you just need to click this important model. And now these two will appear. I'm just now, you can see these model is from the SketchUp lip-sync. I'll just go to this one and I'll just delete this one. Is tree. To show. Now as you can see, the lab thinking is functioning. The trees disappear. We can do it to any kind of thing because the lighting will work. Same as in rabid. Have to install this widget from the ACLU list library. And after that you will get this kind of a thing saying that lumen and just click this Start live sync button and it will take awhile and model the lobby on domain interface. Same as before. Now you have the idea about line thinking from Revit, sketch up. I will just turn off these softwares. For now. I will just delete these things. If you won't want to do this, delete, just click this button and automatically it will do things. I will go through this Home tab. That means the Content Library. Here, you have important models. We have already talked about that. Now you have nature tab. Here you'll have many items like broad leaves, the conifers, palm leaves and the lead plus trees, grasses, flowers, leaves, clusters and the capital things like bias you have many times here. I mean, there are more than 6 thousand assets contained with this lumen version that is a prohibition. And here you have a fine detailed nature. For example, I will just put a small tree here from the nature library and I will just another tree. As you can see, the difference between the fine detail and the nature. The fine detail is highly detailed. I mean, more than like HD detail. And this nature contains just normal like low poly model. Remember that if you're using more fine, fine detail nature assets in library, you need more RAM and you need more performance. Base graphic card. Because adding more detailed nature Librarian, your model will cost you like the graphic card memory. Just remember that here you have people in animations. Here you have more than five tabs, like walking, seating, swimming, and here you have men, 3D and women trivial. Many details. Just go through it. Here you have in lieu items like chairs, tables and decoration items, and the kitchen items, lightings, plumbing, and all those things. Let's go through them. Here you have outdoor, outdoorsy things like treat lightings and the signs. And some industries, some axis like some buildings. Likewise, here you haven't transport items like cars, buses, trucks, and some boots, and some air balloons and airplanes and trains. Likewise, remember that all these item you can animate, you can use freely. Men's, women's item that there is walking like presenting. You can use these trains, cars moving from here to here. Likewise, just remember that. And here you have lights. You have different kinds of light setup. See the difference between the kind of light, the cone angle. And if you want to click the properties, just click here. Click here. And you can get the settings from the slides. You can increase the brightness from here. You can increase the cone angle like this. If you want to show the light source, just click this one and there's another option that means night activation. If you just turn on this one, now it's a daytime, the light the light is turned off. If you go to whether from me, I will explain it to you in later about this fader. If you just go night time, you can see This item is turned on. If you go to go back to morning, the light is turned off. Remember that? If you just load customized IES profile, if you prefer, you can load them as well. Likewise, the shadows will be like if you want high or dynamic range of shadows, I prefer high, but it will consume your graphic card. Remember that? Likewise, okay. I will talk about these groups and target lines in next episodes. Just stay tuned, Okay. And here you have effects. What are the effects? You have fountains, you have fire and the smoke. For example, I just had this one. Or maybe if you want to fog like this, you can use them. If you want. Leaves fallen. Remember that, just click Select button here. And it will appear like this. And if you want to move up, just move up like that. Now it's like these trees falling leaves. If you go into sounds button, it sounds like the moment. So I will just delete these ones and you can go through this one. Here you have utilities, but other utilities here you have a clip plane. That means you can cut a section of plane like this. If you want a grid like this, that's up to you. Here you have landscaped cutter. Just click it. And as you can see, the landscape you can see through from the landscape. Likewise. You can measure from distance in distance likewise, See. You can add some reflection probes that can control the reflections. And if you want to add some text here, just text, just click the text and you can see we just can't be similar to an inch, maybe the book style. Likewise, you can see this item, right? The height of the item. Likewise, you can like, these are small details but really important. For example, that think that you want to delete entire this this model lender vegetations. Likewise, if you wanted to delete it, I mean individually you have to click. If you want to delete the vegetation item, you just need to click this nature item and then click this button then likewise. But if you want to delete entire scene and you don't need entire scene, but you need to delete entire asset you have imported in the vegetation items. Users have to click this All button and you just need to click Control and just drag the mouse. And here, like all items are selected if you wanted to just click Delete, just click this button and delete this part. Now all items have gone. Just undo this one. Likewise, I think we have covered about this Home tab. That means the library items. We will move on to the materials. 7. Settings Tab: These settings scrap. I'll just click the Settings tab. This is a really important tabbing lumen. Actually. Just click here. There are three main tabs, image input and system. We'll talk about image first. These settings will be dedicated to the quality of the interface. Actually. As you can see, there are editor quality editor resolution use proxies and you high-quality trees and auto update previews. That means basically, if you have a higher end graphic cards, when you are using lumen, actually you can use most of the high resolution and high poly models very easily if you have like 3938 graphic cards. But if you're using 373060 some or maybe even less than like 2000s heat is graphic cards or AMD cards. So what you have to do is when you have a very high poly model, you have to reduce the editor quality by click these three stars or maybe two stars and maybe you have to click editor resolution 6650% because otherwise you cannot work on lumen very easily because then your model will be trying to lag because of the vegetation you have used or maybe the module you will have imported likewise. So for example, I will just use a fine detail tree here to, to show how these the quality will effect on this. So now we have two stars and maybe I'll just clip 25% of editor resolution. As you can see, actually really blurry, right? Because health now luminous trying to optimize the, the interface because of their high quality nature. If you just click here and if you just click Edit, high-quality, high-end resolution is 100%. You will see a really detailed tree like this. Remember that if you are using a lot of vegetation in your model, you have to use this function editor ecology and the editor resolution. And there are another method to produce the burden to you. Our graphic card is using a proxy is actually, for example, I will just place the streets. Don't worry about this because I will explain it to you about these functions. But I'm now doing because I wanted to showcase how these settings function will work. That's why I'm using these assets. Otherwise I have a separate asset class. Don't worry about that. So I will just place these trees like this. As you can see, there are blue proxies are now appearing like this because now aluminum is trying to optimize the graphic cards. Because otherwise practically is trying to guild output of really high resolution on the these treason, it will crash, that the lumen might be crashed because of that. We have to remember that if you turn off that you will not have proxies. If you have like 39 degree avocado someday, maybe 38 or something, then you can easily turn off these proxies and you can really smoothly. And he'll also the same thing like the high college reason, the interface we'll show I call the trees. That's up to you. Actually, if you are a graphic cards is good enough to render those things. It's up to you actually. And the auto update premium means that means if you enable this one, if you go to photo image rendering, you are, you are. This interface will be auto update, otherwise you will have to click like this. Now the interface is not updated. You have to just click here. You can see the small white bias going on like just show you again. You might have seen these image settings is basically we negate it to the quality of the interface that is really important. And actually, the second one is input. And you have like, if we just enabled this inward miles by exist, you are right when you are clicking right mouse button and move with the right mouse button, it will invert the settings. That means if you go previously, if you move forward with the right mouse button, it feel trying to. Reverse the situation. I'm an invert the C2, the moment. Likewise, if you input, you can enable these functions and use analytics, like by saying use data to the customer experience here and that mean lumen team, they will send some data to improve the program, maybe some crashes likewise, and the system is like here, will show you how mute sound effect. That means I'm basically in lumen. You have a sound effects. I mean, you can use these sound effects too. For example, if you're using a urban ben street scene, you have like call zones and you have some men's shouting sounds. Likewise, you can use these sow only pits to sound effects in your model. But the thing is when you're using the sound effects, when you add the interface that will interfere amine, it will disturb you are like the peaceful rendering things because it will disorders these ocean now like bison. So my suggestion is just unmute these things because they're easy to work with the interface. Then. Also you have imperial units. That means that you have embedded all metric system. That means, for example, I just wanted to show you how the imperial see there are measurements like 9.9 meters. If you just enable this one, you will see the feet in parallel and the metric system that's up to you Actually. This writer alone, that means that if you have some crashes on while you are working on lumen and it will automatically generate crash file. And I read a login, it will show what is the cause for the crash. Likewise, maybe you are using too much important objects or maybe the vegetation. Likewise, this recovery function is really important because in previous versions you don't, you don't get this recovery function because as same as before while you are working in the lumen crashes, romain was trying to get a recovery before you a crash. That is really important. I mean, you're using a large file. Suddenly you got like crash Fu Mian and you lost everything. That is really a big disaster for you. But this recorded function we'll manage up to some extent. The full-screen is if you just click here, you will get a full-screen like likewise, that's up to you. I have covered the settings. 8. Materials/Textures: For the materials, I have now just imported a 3D box from SketchUp. If you just click materials here. And you can just move your mouse and you can see a green color highlighted area. That means unique service that you can apply textures from the Lumiere like this. We just click here and there's another minimum appear same material library and here you have five attempts various into our customer database and the new materials here, if we just click here, you might be able to find some natural elements like rocks, soil, water, lead put type. And like this, I will just apply this type of a thing. This is a 2D grass area. If you want. Just let this 3D grass area. Likewise, you have the idea, and I will just go to Window material. And here you have curtain fabrics and glass bladder metal would likewise curtain here you have a curtain. You can see this strange, I can say in D that means displacement map. Displacement map means if you apply these kind of material on a database, you will have a bump, a 3D bump on the surface. For example. I will just show you for this surface and we've just, as you can see, a 3D bump. And here you might be able to find a displacement. And you can reduce the displacement and it can increase the displacement like this. Moving on here. Again, if you just apply, apply to a service on texture, if you just click here, if you just go to a standard material and here my table to find some color maps and the normal map and a displacement map you can actually import from a third party. For example, now I will import a color map from a third party like this. Just import the cut, the Albedo map. Actually the column and p same as Albedo map. That means that contains a color of the texture. Likewise, you can see now the color map is applied. Now I will apply the normal map that bill usually you can identify this blue or purple color thing. I have applied in here. You can apply a displacement map, will have a displacement map just applied it that you can see a little bit less glass. Increase the map scale this and increase the reflectivity and increase the displacement. You can see a high realistic texture surface. Here we can find some, some other minimum items like colorization. If you want to increase the colorization, you can change the color from here. You can change the color to white. Likewise. You can see it. And you can increase the glossiness. You can increase the reflectivity and you can increase the relief. That will highlight the bump. You can increase the displacement and you can scale down. You are texture map. Here you might be able to find another minimum here it says the position. For this kind of service, this option will not have applied, applicable. And for this, I will just click orientation and you can hit down and you can pitch. As you can see now, you can bank, stretch down on something. And here you have vaccines. And the transparency. I will go to the transparency and see what will happen to the texture. Fill transparent if you want to highlight them behind object from a certain asset. This is what you have to do, increase the transparency and just click Vaccines. Here you have another settings that means it museum, that means it will act as a lighthouse. Saturation, color saturation. And the speculum, that means having properties of a mirror. The flicker reduction, data reduction means sometimes when you are importing objects from SketchUp already, but there might be a flickering effect. In order to remove that flickering event, you have to do is you can do is you can increase the flickering effect or decrease replica benefit. And that will disappear. Like flickering effect appear when Ben multiple services nearly occupy the same space. Just remember that when you are using, when you are working on the lumen, this will happen. Just remember that this flickering reduction thing is on this material properties. This texture Alba means like if you're using material that contains voids, like a curtain or some other thing. You have to change it to this color map alpha clip objects. You just have to remember that otherwise, if you import a third party a curtain, curtain detection to lumen, dramatically it will not happy and has occurred need to Libya as a whole service. But you can do is just click this column about that clip objects, then it will appear these voids on a curtain. So again, there are some materials like concrete, plaster and false. Likewise. So I just click here and just go back to auto. And I will just click as fall. You can add the surface. Likewise. Want to increase the map scale, and this can still do it. If you want to more darker. Just increase the colorization like this. And here you have another panel. For example. If you wanted to copy the same material to another surface, what you can do is just copy material. Click here, and go to here, and just paste here. Then the material texture will be same. And here also you can load material from a third party and you can save method. You are same lumen material to a folder. If you won't do in case if you want to import it to another program, you can do it same as like this. Here you have another option named bettering. That means like the weather effect, like if, if the object is going to age. Likewise, example, I will just click here, I'll just increase the return effect. As you can see, some color and color orientation will something happened to the orientation as well? Likewise, if you wanted to, would type of weathering, just increasing. And if you want to metal surface, you can do it same as this. Here you have pretty much store would lead in many options. Just walk through these effects and this foliage effects, that means spread of a leaf. If you just see four walls like fences, you can use this effect really nicely. And you can change the leaves eyes, you can change the leaf type and spring pattern and the ground level. You can change that finance. Just go through these material library. It's a really nice high-quality assets. My preferences go with the displacement maps because it will give an extra vibe to the material I need extra realism to the detection. Likewise. 9. Terrain/Landscape builder: Let's talk about this landscape Panchen. Here you have couple of options. You can create a purine from this lumen landscape function. For example, I will just click height here. And as you can see, there's a race and there's a blue smooth flatten, likewise, and this is a brush size. Precise means the size. Decrease it small size, and the brush speed, how the speed will appear on the appraisal may be lower. Likewise, for example, this is a, a landscape given by the default, given by the lumen. So much you can do is you can just click here. You can see you can create a mountain range. Likewise. Decrease speed, increase the brush size, see the race and see the lowering. Now we are lowering the surfaces like this. If we want to flatten it, you can do just instantly. Gita, that means just increase the breastfeed, see, pretty good mountain range. Actually. You can smooth it. You can Platon the landscape instantly or maybe a loader landscape map and save landscape map. And here you have a board option. What you can do is just plays object here. And here. Just like that, There's a water surface, will there be at you actually, you can scale it up or down. Likewise, you can just click this button and just drag, click them leftmost button and drag it like this. If you want to delete it, just delete it. Likewise, if you want to enable the ocean on the lumen service just clicked ocean and the ocean will appear. You can chain the wave intensity, tuberosity, height of the ocean. Now we under, under, under water. Likewise, if you just go into here paint, you can do is just reduce the pain signs. And here I want to paint the land surfaces has a sandy area and you can do it. Likewise, I can paint it. Or maybe I feel like this, I can still do it. Likewise. And you can use OpenStreetMap. You can import CTE area or some other suburban area from OpenStreetMaps. And here you have landscaped grass. If we just zoom here and just enable the grass. And now you can see grants will appear and you can change the grand size and grass height and the wildness of the grass type. Likewise. 10. Weather and Layers Tab: Final tab of this left side menu. You can talk about this with a function. If you just go here and you can see, you can enable 3D Sky, real sky. Just click here. As you can see, you can change the skydive like this. Hdri, highly realistic sky types. You can have a label here. You can clear type. As you can see, it will almost effect all the objects in the interface because of this realism of the HDRI skies. And actually you can change the direction. Likewise. Actually, you cannot use it. This heightened these things because we are now doing the real scale thing. Now I just disabled it. Just Sun height and the time of it. You can see the sun's brightness, loudness, see the wind speed. If you have vegetation here, it will effect here. Still you might be able to see because of these grass, like weaving the wind direction c. Likewise, let's talk about this layers panel. What is a layer? If you've ever used autocad in life, you might be be family with layers. If you just click a one layer, you can add many asset into this layer. And if you want to hide these assets or any, any models, just click this unhide button and this logo and you can unhide them from your model. For example, I will just do, I will add a new layer. And it says Layer six. And I will just click here, and it will make the current layer. And I will just add some trees here. Now, remember now all the assets now we are adding to the lumen interface will go into the layer six. If you want to. Unhide is just make another layer, current asset, current layer, and just click this button and it will automatically disappear. And if you have this toggle button, you can just click here or it will disappear when you go around here. If there's another, again appear, just click here, it will appear again. That is the benefit of having layers. If you have a large-scale model, you can use these layers wisely and you can utilize the lumen model. 11. Group and other special features: Let's talk about some hidden features in Lumia. Now, I'll do some example here. I will just add some trees here. Likewise, some other different trees. What I'm gonna do is just click Select button and just quick this one. As you can see, there will be a pop-up menu like this, which kind of layer you are in, and the transparency of the object and the green selection. You can do it like you can edit the asset you want. So what I'm gonna do is I'm just going to group them. I'm just going to click here. And like this, now, I'm selecting these assets by pressing control and left mouse button. Just remember that you can do that. Here. Here there's another icon says Add Current Selection to a group. Now what I'm gonna do is I'm going to group them. I'm just going to click there. Now it's a group. Now if you can change the group or maybe ungroup it, or maybe save it like bias. Okay? So now I'm going to press Escape here. And I'm going to let another layer like this. It says actually how many objects you are selecting. The ocean. Another minimum here, if you just click this pattern, remember this button, just click here. There will be another, some icons here. Let's talk about them. Here. If you want to replace the selection. For example, if you want to change the tree type, just click here and just click like this. So you can see all the other trees hard change. Just click here. Again. I'm going to click here. This feature will be really useful when you are using large scale model. We'd have some large-scale assets of vegetation type. And here you have a focused selection, it will focus them. And if you want to select all identical objects, now it's all identical. So it's gonna select all. And here you have select all objects in the same category. Once again, it's same category. So if I'm selecting another plant or tree, that will a piano too different categories, just remember that. And you can, I'll just replace them in a large scale three like this. Now, I'll just click them. Now if you von to randomize position of these selected trees, just click here, see what happened. Lumen will automatically randomized, randomized the position of these stories. If you want randomize rotation of the selection, just click here. Likewise, we want to randomize sizes, maybe big or small trees. Just click this button. And if you want to raise it, simple asset. And here you have a space objects evenly. Likewise, you get it right. I will just randomize it again and align positions. I will randomize again. Align rotation. The place on the landscape. Sometimes you are model. I mean, if you have imported from SketchUp, you'll maybe have another layer and you have pastries on that. But if you want to place the trees on a lumen landscape, this is the option. Here, a line size that mean all sizes, sounds and align height and the confirm to landscape. Same as that. That means if you have a slow period, you can align those trees onto a slope area. Likewise, these features are really hidden in Lumen. Not much in the US, but it's really useful. The final option, what I'm going to see here is once you have selected this item as a group, actually just press Escape and just remember that we have grouped these trees earlier, but as you can see now you cannot click them. You cannot select the group. For that. What you need to do is just click all here and you will be fine. This a little bit different button here. Just click here and just move it here. Likewise, as you can see now you can see the advantages of using a group function. You can group it as like this. And if you wanted to change the group like this, still, you're able to do that. 12. Material Assigning In a Project File: For this video, we're gonna talk about five steps. Lumen design. Per step b is important. You are designed or built landscape. Actually we talk about these step importing you are designing from SketchUp, Ravid, aggregated, AutoCad, vector. But likewise, or maybe you have to build your landscape. Already. We have talked about these things as well. And the second step is assigned materials. The third step, peace, crafting your environment. That means adding vegetation, some plants, rocks like lines. Okay? And the fourth step is adding some 3D objects like transport acids, humans, indoor, outdoor acid. Likewise, the final step B's mixed effects and render that image video or panorama window. Now we're going to talk about importing your design or a bill landscape. For that. I'm just gonna show you how to import your design. Again. Actually, I have already imported model from SketchUp, but I will now important another SketchUp file. Just give a different name for that. Okay? Now here we have the W2, that means the important asset from schedule. As you can see, these easy SketchUp file we have imported actually contains a small amount of landscape area, but you can build your landscape upon you or request from the Steppe landscape. Like this. Maybe. Likewise. Anyway, for now, we'll just increase the height of asset. Because as you can see, our landscape is underneath of the lumen landscape. That means our model is at minus level. So what you can do is you just, you can just increase the height of landscape like this. So this is one object for today's lesson. I'm just going to delete this one. I'm just going to import a small model because we are building a small environment and a small projects and just see how the final image rendering will be happen. It's a small model from SketchUp. As you can see, good quality model. Here. As you can see, there are grasses in our landscape. So what you can do is go to landscape, just turn off the grass here. Now it all our plot. Here. You have SketchUp model. Now, again, I imported aerobic model. This model was built in a rabbit. I'm just going to place here and I'm just going to rotate it. I just need to have a smaller urban area. That means contains some houses and some trees, like urban area with environment. So from this example, you will get, will have an idea about how the image rendering and these effects work with your model. And finally, have a photorealistic rendering. Here we have another important item. Just import this. Now we are going to import a smaller roads section that we'll go through on this way. What you can do is, I have already imported that. Otherwise you can import from third-party libraries like 3D Warehouse. You can import a rod section. Just imported. Actually modeled 3D Warehouse. Really good quality texture. So as you can see now, these two are two different levels. So what you can do is julius can map the height difference because otherwise you will feel I think it's pretty okay now, yes. Actually now we have completed our first step. That means importing your design and build some landscapes. In order to build some landscape, I'll just increase some height as well. It will look like a mountain little bit too fast to feel like a mountain range with some faraway mountains. The second most important thing is when you are working with Lumiere nice assigning materials. It is a really important thing for this model. As you can see, the textures are really high quality detections. But for this example, I will just change touches like this. Just go to our route. You can see the glossy effect. I don't like it. Just reduce it and I will just increase the map scalar by presence Shift button that will slow down the scaling option like this. As you can see, they are pretty option. We have talked about this. Now I'm just going to click here. You just click here. Actually this model is from SketchUp. And if you just click here, it will say when importing to Lumia, there will be no assigned materials from SketchUp, but you can do is just if you want to keep this material, just click Standard and just reduce the loss and reflectivity and it will stay as it is. But I just want to change materials, so I will just go to our boot. Just have this type of thing. And as you can see, it's like a vertical, so I want to rotate that one so I can change it by 90 degrees. So actually it's 90 now. It's good. So I will just reduce the gloss and reflectivity answers and I'll just release the map scale SPL. And I will just assign that interior glass, glass, glass type. I will assign some fluorine. Just because these minor details are really important when you are, when you want to have photo-realistic design. Just remember that we can do here is just reduced the gloss. Kind of really could. Now. Now for the outdoor, just need to have some different types of concrete texture. I will just go with this. I will just reduce a gloss and reflectivity. Now just increase the relief. I will just have little bit colorization. Little bit gray color like this. Now it's good. For the here I will have outdo stone type material. It's not a good color, but I'm just trying to change the color of it. So we'll just have this one. Yeah. Pretty good, but like a concrete thing, right? To have a displacement map pass. Well, as you can see, increasing displacement, don't do it too much because otherwise feel too much. 3d effect on the surface. Just habit here like this. Now good. For this. Some direction I will keep as it is. Now. We can do is now we have completed materials and we'll do some interior as well. So we'll just go to here into the fabric. You can have fabric like this and less displacement like this. Some heading. We've just go to here into fabric. Just have not accompany quality fabric material. I will just have a white color, one like this. And here I will just copy this material as well. Paced, like this. I'll just do the same thing. Paste here. Why? It's good. I just add some little bit darker material type. Too much glossiness. Just release it. Some weathering effects on the concrete if you just want it. I'll just have some stone type, whether that's good, That's really good. Here also, I will just release it loss and reflectivity, and I will add some roster and look smooth closely. It too much. Now it's good. Now we have done some pretty good material assigning. We'll just add some will change this material as well. I'll go to fabric. Again, a carpet type thing. It's good for this one. Just keep as it is. Now, we have completed the second step. That means assign material, as you should remember, 0s and 1s. You are. Check the preview of the rendering. You can change the material because sometimes the assigned material can be changed because the final output you will not get what you expected. What you can do is just have a preview and just change the material as it is as you want. Likewise, here. Now, as a second step we have completed, now we'll go to the third step. 13. Vegetation Assigning In a Project File: Now we are on the third step. That means crafting your environment. That means adding vegetation in. Getting more realism on your model. For this model, I'm going to use some fine detail nature assets from lumen library. Here. What I'm gonna do is I'm just going to add some trees here. These are fine detail nature. If cornea, as you can see, all those leaves are really hyper-realistic. Just add a small like this. We'll add some more trees. Not some nature asset from the lumen acid library. We let them just blend placement. That means that you can paint it. Just look how I'm gonna do it. Who can just click here? You will get a circle. That means you can paint it on your landscape like this. You can change the density of the cluster if you want to delete it, just deleted likewise, and I will just add like this. We'll add some small trees. Every detail is really important when you are dealing with good quality model, if you want to get some good quality model. Finally, as our final output, let some plant maybe a smaller clusters like this. Small vd lead time. Because if you have a look on here, you can see the void from each and every tree. What you can do is you can fill with a medium height trees like this. Here we will have another vegetation. Go for a plant too much. And I will try another mass placement and I will just show you how to do it. We will go with you, we'll go with this, just click this mass placement and you will have this kind of a thing. And what you can do is just drag along the line you want it and just click here. Here. There will be another trees already added by default. So what you can do is just delete those things. As you can see, small number of plants appeared on my mask cluster. What you can do is you can increase the number of items and you can do it randomized direction. And you can wonder my spacing. And you can randomize offset. Here if we want to add some other plants to this mass placement. But you can do is you just have to click here and just click here. Just click here. And again, what you have to do is use, you have to just click here as well. Now you have a mass placement here. I just need to have another mass placement here as well. Just click here. And here as well. Just delete those things and we'll let this cluster like this. Just quick loci. And we will have tree here. Likewise, you will have another tree here. Probably lost the fine detail one. Likewise, we will have some fallen, fallen leaves from here. You have followed leaves. Just have this here. And here as well. Well, one mole. Now we have completed the step. That means cramping your environment. Actually, it's up to you to decide whether how you are going to go, how are you going to need your output as a final product if you want more vegetation, adding more agitations, give life to your model. So just remember that. And also remember that adding fine detail nature models into a model bill. Reduced speed of your model because it will utilize your graphic card really hard. So just remember that. And if you can just make it on a layers and just turn off the fine detail nature for if you have a big model in your project, just remember those things and I think we have completed the third step. 14. 3D Assets Assigning In a Project File: As the fourth step, we're going to add some 3D objects to our project. Here you have more than 6 thousand models built-in to your lumen asset library. Just remember that you have plenty of models, interior vehicles, humans, and most of the vegetations are really hyper-realistic. So just remember that some of the models given by the FDA motion one of the leading 3D asset development company. And here I'll just add some ceiling pens to It's too big. Just add this one. Here. We have some leaves from this tree. Just click this fine detail tree here, and we'll just drag it from here. We'll add some chair from the interior. Seating. Just shorted it. And some ornaments. Just rotate it. It's quite big. Just reduce the size of the asset. Likewise, candles. Some pictures as well. Some humans, 3D statics. So we'll just add a human here. It's quite a big because our model is a little bit smaller than the usual, so that you can do is reduce the size of the model like this. And we let some, if you want to add some chance, I'll do chairs, you can still do it. And we'll add some vehicle lumen. Actually they have advanced vehicle types because now you can add some metallic surfaces for the vehicles. I will just show you, I will just add a vehicle this and reduce the size of the vehicle little bit. Here you have another panelist saying that which layer you want to put this vehicle and the light of the vehicle. And if you want to change the color, I will just add some white color because I like white color. If you want to have the metallic paint type. As we can see, phi just zoom here. You can change the difference of mentally paint. It's like more realism. And if you wanted to show the driver or if you do not want to show the driver, just click this button as well. Likewise. So now we have added in, we would just added some moving vehicles. We have added some of the assets in the lumen Asset Library. You can customize as you want. You can add more people. People are working, for example, I can do. You can add some street lights as well. Here you have some street lights. You can add them as well. Just add the two. We will add this roulette, this one. You can click this object, and you can click this. You can select all identical object like this, and you can reduce the size of it. Similarly, likewise. Now, we have completed the vote strips, that mean the Adding 3D objects to your project. Now we will move on to the final step. That means that adding more Effects render you output as an image and a video and the panorama. And how you can change the settings of the image and get more realism to your output. 15. Image Rendering-Lumion Default Presets : Now we are at the final step of the lumen rendering process. That means mixed effects and the render. Here you have some right side menu. It says photo, movie, panorama, and files. We have talked about this. So here I will just quick photo here. Then you might be able to find a similar window like this. And here you have some Camera Roll. Familiar type of design. Here you have some settings, so I will discuss here. So actually when you are rendering an image or video, you can do it by manually. That means applying settings by yourself. Lumen has many effects for you are rendering to get more photorealistic type of thing, but it's kind of hard to do in manual. But if you have practice, you can do it yourself without any hesitation. But lumen also have issued some custom size. I will just explain it to you by custom styles. Then we'll go to the manual because it will be easy to understand it that way. So here you have custom stars, will just click here. As you can see, there are nine presets. I would say preset because the settings are already applied by the lumen team to get more photorealistic type of a thing. So I'll just click this realistic and you'll see how the image will look after applying this realistic preset. I'll just click here. As you can see, the lumen has given some settings by theirself, real Skiles, sharpen image exposure, color correction. We're hyper light, skylight in some shadows. If you just move here, you can do it. Same as same keys from your keyboard. That means WASD QME, likewise, to update the preview, that means to get an idea about how the output will be looked like. Just click anywhere in this window and just click here. As you can see now the lumen will give you the final output, almost similar output like this. As you can see now the image look really sharp and looks really realistic. What I'm going to change here is the real skies are just click here. And as you can see, there are more real skies up can be applied here this evening, morning overcast, some set clear and night. It's up to your preference. You can do it. You can apply sunset or I will just apply a sunset to showcase how the things will work. Just click here. As you can see, whole brenda will be changed coding to URL skies. So here you have a heading that means you can change the sky. If you just check this area, you can see the skies and moving. That means you can change the direction of the HDRI sky like this. I'll just click here. I don't, I'm not satisfied with the same settings, so I will just go here and I will go with the morning sky like this. Still a little bit darker. I will just increase the brightness here. I will just eclipse the sky. Still not good. Here. Now these settings will be quite good rather than the other thing. But we can do is you can go to, go back to the settings and you can increase the exposure like this. You can see if you move up too much. Just apply here like this. What I'm going to do is just click here and I will store the camera. Because otherwise I don't have to go every time that same position and take the render like this, because if you store the camera style and settings, all will be, all will be saved to this set camera angles. So if you want to have another camera angle, just go like this and apply this. Here. I will change the custom side. I will just do the dawn or maybe data and I will just applied the dawn and check it spit little bit darker because it's a downtime. So I will change it again. Now we'll change it to datetime. And as you can see here also, you can change the heading and see how things have changed. Now it's quite good, but I will reduce the exposure settings here. By this still. This high pearlite means it's a really good settings given by the lumen team. It will enhance you are photo-realistic setting. Just try to remember that using high perlite will cost you a graphic card. Graphic memory. Now you'll have the idea about automatic settings, which given by the lumen. Here you have a watercolor if you want to, this to appear as a watercolor timeline. From next video, we're gonna talk about a manual settings to enhance your image. 16. Image Rendering Manuel Settings: For the manual settings up to me one image rendering. Here you have a c f x, that means effects by your own styles. That means they have given you the style which you can change the settings upon you or requests and just click here. And here you have featured on bidder sky objects, camera animations, artistic Arctic C2, and advanced movements like this. This animation, things, I will explain it to you in another video because it's really sort of a complex, not, not so hard, but you can understand it very well. When I teach you. For now, I will apply some settings that personal preference for me and I will change. I will tell you how the settings will be changed. Here. The first one is this son. Actually, if you just click here, it will automatically added to your image. I will just disable the effect to get an idea how the setting will change you. Image rendering, just click here. This is without any settings, and if you apply the sun, you can see the sunlight. Not so, I mean, it's not a big change, but you can still see it. The second effect I'm going to apply is real skies. One of the most important thing? You can just go to sky, and here you have regular skies. And as I explained you in earlier video, you can apply any type of real sky. I will just apply a clear sky here. You can see now the image has some good quality rather than no settings. Here. Here you have some other effects like our aurora borealis. That mean, that means you can apply these effects when the sea knees on a night mode. We can apply this, our rubber Ellis as cayenne cloud, simple as that I mean, in volume clouds also and the horizon clouds. You can apply engineering, you can, if you want to add some moon here, still you can do it. And if we go back to the feature and here you have skylight that is really useful. See how the setting will have existed without setting. When you have applied the settings, you can see the difference. The one of the important thing in luminous global illumination, you have to go to Advanced here. This will show how the fill these settings will act according to real-life scenarios. Because when object hits by sun ray that fill, this effect will enhance the realism octet reflection by the global elimination. If you go to stick to, you have a bleach effect. It will give a little bit darker, but just reduce it won't reduce it. These settings are two actually are your preferences that can be changed according to different people's opinion. For me, these settings are really important because you can apply this, you can try this. This bloom effect means if you apply this bloom effect, the sun will look like a bloom and the sky will be looked like a bloom. If you want to do it. Just add this effect and try. And these are some among our analog color lub is a very important effect and you can change these effects by applying some cartoon effect likewise. And next time we're going to add some noise here. Not too much because it will like some, as you can see, there are some little dots type of thing and noise and we'll apply like this. So I don't need that. I need a small amount, but I don't need because it will give the real-life settings or real life. Reflections to the image. You can change the color also. Just click back here. If you go to the color correction. This is a really important one because it is color collection correction. That means you can change the temperature of the image like this. I don't need that much. I need a little bit and you can change the tint color. I don't need that much and you can increase the vibrance. That means more colors to you I made and brightness contrast saturation and the gamma correction limit law and limit tie this up to you preferences. But for me, I will just reduce the brightness here, like this. And I will just reduce the vibrance. Now. I think look good. I didn't save my camera angles, so I will just click here. Now, I will add some color lab, analog color lab, and you can change the style. Little bit gloomy effect. A pretty good time for the realism. The amount you need, I don't need that much GMO, I will have that amount and go back to here and add some sharpen, sharpen the image. Now, I think they have balanced one. So I'll go with the sharpening one that bloom. So I talked to you before, you can add that as well. Camera. Here you have some pretty good settings here. This is a separate video, I will talk about that. And this is a handheld camera. This Will, you can apply these two images answer but I prefer to add the sense to a video because I'm moving like a movie, like a camera effect will be give you realism on a video and the exposure and the two-point perspective, that means you are image will be like all the things in your imagery, like perpendicular to the image. Two-point perspective. We need that. So I will apply depends. Well, I'll just go to here and I will just add exposure. One of the must need in sitting in your Lumia. Just go back to here and you can see this photography course. I will explain to you in next videos. Lens flare. That means you are sun rays look like a lens, which sometimes you might get when you're taking a photograph. In real life, that if it still can be applied to in lumen, the depth appeal, you can focus on one object and bled all the background. Or maybe you can focus on the background and blow the in front of objects like rice, that's up to you. Here. I will go to the reflection. One of the important thing because I need to have some good-quality reflections on these glasses. Just click here and I'll just speed read reflection. That means it will only apply to the image not on the, not, it will not, it will not affect on the lumen while I'm working because otherwise, my graphic card will lag, trying to lag because of this setting, these are graphic intensive effects. If you want to add the reflection, just click this Edit reflection planes. Let's click here. Here you might have see that now there will be plus sign. That means I had plain just add one plane. And as you can see when you move the mouse, you will see red. That means you cannot replicate these surfaces. But you can reflect here is these glasses, the water. Likewise, this apply here. And I will apply another surface. This surface as well. Likewise. So I'll just click Okay. Now I have pre-recorded too high and the reflection threshold, I'll increase it. Now you might not able to see much, but there will be reflections and edit. The final thing I'm going to do is I'm just going to add shadows, sharp shadows. You can see go back to here. Here has some shadows. Here. You can have ultra sharp shadows. Likewise, you can apply a soft shadow. You can, you cannot apply on altricial because. It's obvious that I'll sharp and soft shadows will not match. And the fine leaders shadows like this. The brightness of the shadows can increase them as well. I don't need that much. Shadow as well. I didn't. We have concluded settings. These are some special effects which I will talk about you in future sessions. This photo matching orthographic settings and some animation effects, mass move. These. We cannot apply these settings to image, these are only applied to video rendering. Just remember that and this phasing is one of the important thing in common. They have introducing Lumia 11 to maintain and below they don't have any pacing effect. It's kind of a BIM Building Information Modelling sort of effect. Actually, you can apply these settings if the motion blur can be applied to a video. In other settings, because these settings can be applied to a vehicle moving vehicle really well. And some V-shape, fisheye like things. Those are the settings for the manual actually. Here are all the settings I have applied to this image. Here are the second page. You can change these settings and get more realism and you have to try by yourself. You have to apply settings one-by-one and check the quality of the image. So you can see as a final stage of this video, I will just show you how to render the image. So now I have a store these camera angle. What I'm gonna do is just click here, you will have a green button, says render, just click Render. Now you have a render current short, that means e-mail the sizes of the image you want. Usually I will go with the desktop, that means the Polish T1. If you want more than full HD resolution, just go with the print TO poster. Here I will just click the Stop and I will just click Save. I'll just keep the name one. Now, the Meiji is rendering. You will have the timeline here and I have completed my image. Again, just image. These are the final image. I have code. You can change the settings of the rendered image. Just changed because Kaiser is one of the important settings in lumen because from that you can get more realism to you, our image. You can find some noisy. I will just release the noise. From here. I will just increase the brightness, increase explosions. We'll just flip the sky squared. Good. 17. Class Assignment: Now it's time for a small assignment. The same example I have did in previous videos. I have worked on that. And so the final images will be looked like this, really super realistic. So if I just show you, these are the first images we have rendered. You can see the, the accuracy of the image is really low. With the time I have improved my settings and I have worked on the settings as well. Finally, majors, unlike these, super realistic, like this, some sketchy image as well. So you can do is I will provide you the lumen file, the same file as this bit, the camera anger with no settings. You can work on this file and applying some settings. And you can submit it to the project gallery in Skillshare. So after you have sub-unit, you just can contact me. You can ask me anything unrelated this project gallery photo. I will comment on that and as a reward, I will provide you the final lumen file which have these settings, super realistic settings, which I have done. And as well as that file contain video rendering as well. The video rendering will be teach you on next lesson. I hope you will upload to the project gallery. Or if you want to add some more angles, it doesn't matter, It's up to your preference. You can enjoy the learning lumen, and you can learn the lumen image rendering process as well. That is the task of this assignment. Up you'll find that will. 18. Video Rendering Part 1: Now we will move on to the movies. That means video rendering. Lumen. As you can see now we have covered the image rendering process. After that, we are now moving into the movie. That means video rendering process. You just have to click this movie button here. As you can see now there's no movies because just now we are trying to record a movie. So these are some settings you will get automatically when you click that image video button. First thing you have to do is you have to just click this record button and it will appear another window like image rendering. Here you have a key frame. Stills like this. So what you can do is if you want the angle, the camera angle like this, we'll have to just click here, this plus button here. And it will automatically add. If you want to change the next key frame, you can just move your camera from the keyboard. Shortcuts like D or AWS, Q or like this. I'm just moving here like this one. I just want to have a different term, camera key frame for the next frame, just clicked. If we just play here. See how the camera angle work. You will have an idea about that. Here also some settings you might see that it says ease in smooth. You just have to click this one. Here is out smooth. So the starting and the ending of the video will be more smoother than the previous. The previous one. I'll just again click it. You can change the duration of your video time. Now it says 4.42 seconds. I just want to increase it as a PHY or maybe just just type it as six. The video will be very slow motion because of the time has increased. So these are the basic function you can check on your video rendering. I just click this. They've clip, click button. And here also you have the same settings as the image rendering. But I'm going to do is for the very easily, but you can do is go to the photo and you have already applied some super realistic settings on the images. What you can do is you can copy these effects from the Edit and Copy effects. You can go to the movies and you can apply these to edit, paste effects. As you can see, it's some reflection is the answer. What I can do is you can change the heading of the real skies because that real sky reflect on these surfaces and it will reflect back. You are back to your camera. That's what happened here. I'll just click a little bit like this. We'll just play the video. Still as you can see, some reflections will affect the video, but it doesn't matter. We will change that later. What I'm going to try to do is here. These are the video, but as you can see, the humans and the vehicles are on steel mode. They're not moving. We just want to have a video with the movement of vehicles and people like this. Here. You can do is you can go to the effects and the animation. Here you have a pretty good animation types mass move, more advanced Mo, animate, light, time rep and animated phasing. So here you have mass moles. Just click here. Here. You will have another setting as mass mole just click here. And here. If you want to move an object, if you want to move an object, just click this mass movement. For example, I will just want to click this human from here to here. I will have the part as it is. Here you have some settings on this mass moves. Here. You can, this is the part you have drew. If you want to move you on bakers, just click just click other objects like this. And it will automatically apply only to the vehicles, but here I only have human. So what I'm gonna do is I just clicked this human button and other vehicles to untick this and you can change the path bit like this. I just want a small path like this. And if you want to change the speed of the model, you can increase or decrease the things I will just apply this one. As you can see. Just play the video. You might have seen the human has worked like this. Here. There will be small mistake because I just want to have this part to go on this way. So I'll just go this way. Now as you can see, this human is walking. Put animated 3D humans here. You can have some people talking to their phones or B, both. Some people aren't talking to others. Likewise, you can apply those things as well, but I will use this realistic 3D model and I want to move the vehicle announced. So what I'm gonna do is just click More. And I will just click Add part here. I just click here. And just click here. Just increase the part like this. And I will apply dual direction like this. The vehicle and moments are really slow at the moment. So just decoders things because these settings are, if you have imported object, you can move that object dance further from this mass mole selection. I'll just increase the speed like this. We will just have a look. I'm gonna do is I'm just like this. You can see there are some problem with the model because other mass movies, maybe there will be some not on top of the surface we have created. We'll see what strongly that will be. Yes, here. Now, the problem should be solved. Yes, Correct? See where it goes. Some o in, but it's quite slow, so I will just increase the speed of the models like this. Now the whole video is alive. Same as the image rendering you can render from here as well. 19. Video Rendering part 2+phasing: Now let's do some additional animation effects. Here. You have another effect called move advanced more, animate light colors and the time grep and the animated phasing. We have talk about mass mode. We'll discuss about advanced. Similar to the Move effects. I'll just apply those effects. And here you have a pencil edit tab, I'll just click here. You can see this one. You can move non animated objects. That means a default, lumen assets that do not contain animations. You can move these objects. For example, these animation, what I'm gonna do is I'm just going to click here and I'm just going to move. This is the timeline for the other video clip. At a starting point, I'll just skip this and object here. And for a time period of 1 second, and I'll just move this object here. Again. I'll just move here. Likewise, as you can see when you play the clip, you will see that our object is moving. Here. You might be able to see you can do it to any kind of object, the object you have imported from SketchUp already TO any other tiers. Likewise, here you can increase the height of the object. Or maybe if you want to increase the size of the object or you can rotate the object. Likewise, you can do it. So I'll just delete that one to get an idea about the next. Animation effects. Here you have animated light colors. If you just click here. Now, have only apply them on light setting to this rendering and it's inside this room. So I'm just gonna click select light. As you can see. Now you can click this light. Still. Correct mark below, happier. And I will just click OK here. And here you can change the color of the light, whichever color. To get an idea about that, I will just apply. At nighttime rendering. You can see light is now kind of a green color. Just reduced the increased direct coding to that. If you have multiple lights, you can animate those slides in different colors like this. So here, now you are light red color. If you have another one, you can do it to another color. Likewise. Just delete that effect also. And I will just supply morning effect here. Again, we will move to animations, and here you have a time warp. That means there are some animated objects here. For example, these, this person, what you can do is you can just closely look what I'm going to do if you just increase this one. As you can see, the movement of this animated object is changing the starting moment. If you go here, you can change the starting moment. If you have a person who's talking and walking around it. So it can, from this effect, you can change according to your preference like this. Or maybe if you want to apply this effect to the animated important models from a particular 3D Max, a coronary window. Likewise, you can use, still use set. I will just skip it because it's no harm to keep that effect. So the final effect is animated, phasing two. For that, I will have, I will just copy this clip. Clip from edit. Copy clip. And I will have a recode here. I'll just click here, Edit and Paste clip here. The same clip will appear and I will change the real skies. Flip it. Better. For this. I will just change the duration of my video clip because I need more time to have animated phasing effects. Basically animated facing in fixed means. Building Information Modelling, BIM type of effect. That means you can show with the time, how the site is building, how the figures and the vehicles and the humans will appear on the project. Likewise, I will just show you then you will understand that I will just have a 15 minutes, 15 seconds of a time. That will be better. Okay? We will go to the Effects animated phase in and then you have animated Bayesian same setting like previous ones. Just click here I did. Now you will have a different kind of setup here. As you can see, there's menu here and there's a timeline here. Don't worry about that. So what you can do is these are the main timeline of you are a video that means 15 seconds. Here. My idea is initially there would be no only the landscape will appear on the screen and then our animated imported items will lobby. That means this housing descend this house. And then after that, the vegetation rules will appear. And then the finally, you will have the vehicle will appear like so. I'll have four to five phase in time. So here you can do is you can just add phasing animation here. And here. As you can see, you can change this time line like this. Just click here and you can change it here. I will apply this animation around 1 second time here, what I'm going to raise just click this object's button. And here you have the same menu as the Lumina interface. You'll just click import model. Now you can, you can highlight the important module from the interface. Just click here and click here. Click here, and click, Okay, and that means save changes. Here you have the animation type. That means pop-up sky drop. I'll go with the sky drop because it will, it will drop the important module from the sky like likewise effect, I'm just easing little bit time like this. And the duration you can change upon your request. For example, I will just play it. I will just start here. As you can see now it's dropped from Skype. Likewise, for again, I'll pause it. I loved another phase in animation. From three seconds time I will add vegetations to pop up from the interface. Just click here, I'll just have the fine detail one. I just click here. You can see, you can click these fine detail models. Likewise. You can select all the fine detail models. Just as you can see now it will show how many objects you have selected. You have 21 selected. Just click here. And now we'll play it again. Now for this effect, I will not use a pop-up effect. I will have a different effect, that means ground rice. And I will just increase the, easing, the duration, maybe a little bit more. Likewise, you can see there's a small highlighted gray area. That means you are animation will start from here and n here. For example, I will just show you see this rising from ground and now you have stopped the animation. Likewise, for the fourth animation effect, in facing, I will add some humans here. Just click here, click animations and just have to click this selected items now here. Now add around here. Now, just play it from here. Now education has Ryzen. So now the animations, 3D humans have rights as a final phasing effects. So I will add vehicles. I will add here. Just click this objects from here, 123. To that I will implode. You can show you our architectural project to plant like using phasing effects. That means I'm client will understand how things will work with the time. The first structure then calculate actual finishes with the MAP, but something with the final touches like this. You can do it separately from the exterior to interior. You can do it however you want from this phasing really useful defects. Likewise, if you just play here, the final, now, I'll just go to settings and I will just turn off these proxies because otherwise you won't get an idea. Here. Now as you can see, we have done some mistakes here because we have not included interior models for our phasing effects. So that's why it will appear like this right now. So we'll just, sorry. You will just go to the animated facing. In fact, you will add another animated pacing effect. Just add this term, indoor models. Quick here. Just around here. Likewise. Just click here. We will see how things work. Good right? Now we have completed the animated facing if it's one of the most important aspect in Lumen live and early eight false not they are now they have offered the lumen team has offered us that effect is really useful for architectural showcases. 20. Panorama Rendering: In fact, it will same as the image and video and ringing. This panorama effect will give you a 360 view where you can rotate an image like this in your output. And you can use Oculus Rift or HTC HIV like a VR headset to view them. To live like inside you, inside your living inside your model, like a feeling. What I'm gonna do is I'm just gonna go inside this model. And I will have this store effect and I will just paste effect from my previous images like this. Just click Edit. Copy effects. As you can see now, there's a small Ladin my window, because now we have used many assets like realistic nature, nature trees and those effects. And I have added more reflection to the images and those things. So it will try to use my graphic cab more than the previous. So just remember that. Okay, so here I'm just going to click Edit, Paste shift. Now some of the settings I have used in previous images, now I have applied. Here. I will just click here. This is panorama effects. You can render it. The venue are rendering it. It will take more time than the Image Rendering because it will use some large resolution like this you can use, you can change the quality of the output like this. You can reduce it, or maybe you can use more quality, use this as well, Less. Try to use that plan as well to get an idea. Because these kind of things are the future of rendering because small 360 GB use VR headsets are the future of architectural rendering. Architectural show real type of things. Just remember that. 21. Orthographic & Photo Matching Tool: Next we're gonna talk about some other Lumi on setting effect. One of the quiet hidden if it didn't lumen, that is orthographic and the photo machine tool. You can utilize them in new architectural project very well. Here you might be able to find that effect in ethics. And you can go to the camera and you will find orthographic view here. Just click here. And you might be able to find some settings menu here. Here you can say enable. From here. Also you can enable the effect from switching 3D to 2D. That means this orthographic view means, I'll just click here and you will get to understand. Likewise, you will get a orthographic view. You can either click here by this. And here. Here are some other effects. That means you can change the heading, that means that rotation like this. And you can change the pitch like this. I will have this and I will rotate it. Furthermore, not not that much here. There'll be better. And here are some other things near and the far clip, that means near clip means you can cut the plane from the front, actually, like this, from the angle you have in orthographic view. The faculty means from the behind. Right now likewise, here you can change the color of this background. Just click here, and you can chain either red or green, whatever the color you need. Likewise, it's up to you, totally up to you. Other graphic view. I hope you have had the idea about orthographic view now. I will just hide the effect here. Now what I'm gonna do is I'll just do the photo matching to the basically this photo match in to Lee's. Whether you have actual image without the actual project, that means the empty land or whatever the site terrain from the Google or any other from your camera or drawn image. Likewise, you can use that image to plot your project on the Lumi on actually, I will just show you here if you just go to the future, you might be able to find photo machine tool. And here the, the photo matching setting and just click this button and as you can see now, you will be fined a default Lumiere photo matching tool limit. But you don't need to point out to you our project. In this image, for example, I will just increase the transparency. Oh, you have to go here. I will just change the image. I'll just change here. This is the image I'm going to place my project on. Just click open. Now here you have to change the reference went just click reference point here. And here. This is the reference point and I'll just drag it to here. Now I'll just click, Okay. Now I will just increase the transparency and I will just reduce the scale. As you can see, this is the reference point of my photo matching tool. But I can do is I just can. As you can see, when I move this red arrow grid line, you can change my image like this. So what I'm gonna do is just click this year like this. I will just click my books here. I'll just click here. Just produce the scalability like this. Okay, I will just increase the transparency here. I will just press Shift and increase the scale like this. As you can see, my current model has some vegetations here, but you won't get a good photo matching image. This kind of vegetation. You can just place the, the object or either you or household something here properly. I'll just place it here. I will just increase the scalability like this. So you can change this. It's up to you Actually, you can change according to your preference. I mean, only knew what you need. Finally, as output like this, the currently my model is not exact. I don't have any exact location. I'll just do it like this. So you might give the idea about how you are doing the photo mentioned tool. Just remember the place reference point correctly and find the proper image from a drone image or something. Then here you have some other effects. Here you can change the grid plan. As you can see, you will find the grid. Usually I'll go with the exit plane like this. See, it's up to you and you can darken the whole image like guys, and you can reduce the transparency and increase the transparency like this. And you can rotate the model like this. It's up to you actually hope you understand the basic cope photo matching tool. And it's really useful when you are doing some kind of report and you can represent it into our actual location. This tool is really important. 22. Other Settings: Now let's talk about some other effects we have missed during our settings video. Here you can go to add defects and you can find the suddenly effect. And here you have see, God raise some study and volumetric sunlight. For example. Volumetric sunlight means it will penetrate through your vegetation. So window to inside or you are exterior model like this as you can see now, there's a kind of a fog effect that is not the effect we want. We'll change the brightness like this. If we just click here, you might be able to find, when you have rendered the image, you will find some kind of a penetrate sunlight penetrate through this vegetation like an effect that's because of volumetric sunlight. I will just delete it. I will just go back to here and you can find the sound study here. The sun's study means you have to disable the real sky because otherwise you cannot enable it. I'll just disabled late. And here you can change according to the geo-location. Say that you are leaves in China, say that you will leave the USC Australia. According to that, you can change the latitude, longitude, likewise, the ear of the month, it will, it will act according to the season you are in that month. So it's a really good effect. So we'll go back to here and just delete it as well. Here you might be able to find gold, raise that means Cloud through. You will find the Godrej, something sunlight penetrating through the cloud-like effect. We'll just move into the weather. And here, one of the important precipitation effect in the the lumen, actually from this tab, you can control the snow or rain effect. The precipitation phase. You can change the heparin or low small rain. Likewise, and the particle quantities. And also here you have new Lumia, an effect that is you can use this effect on the appeal glass admin the classes surfaces. That means the range rates will drop on the class. Likewise, you can change according to your preference. And we'll go back to here. We will just keep the precipitation because it will look really good in with the effect. Here we wind in photo effects you don't need to use that. You cannot use that because when will only affect on the videos, final videos and the sky effect, you will have a row rubber Ellis. And that means I'll just switch to night mode here. To show that our laboratories here I'll just add, as you can see, just increase the brightness. If you just move according to just change the night sky to a different one, maybe this one clear. As you can see, these are the rural labor realism. And that means you can see clearly now, if I just change the heading, the brightness, just change the heading like this. See really good effect when you are rendering in nighttime. You can use these effects really well. I'll just go back to digest hide it, and now we'll just go back to morning effect. Here you have sky and clouds. You can change. Just remember that if you're using real sketch, you cannot use the sky and clouds, volume clouds and the Horizon Cloud because the lumen has already assigned the real sky into your model so you cannot use it. You just remember that and you can use to concrete that means that the aeroplane part or something you can streak. If you wanted to show in new sky, you can use these effects. Here, objects. Here, there's another object called variation control that means, for example. If you, for example, the disease, the model I have imported. Actually here, if we just click here, you might be able to find important new variation. That means when you are working with the SketchUp, you might be able to find sometimes new variations. Then you have to save the same name as the previous, then you can import it. Or otherwise you can re-import it. If you have the same name, if you have a different name, you can import the new variation like this. So if you have more variation, may be 1234 and you can change the variation. If it from this, you can chain the first variation to second marriage. What are the differences like this? You can change that from here. And you might be able to understand now. And here you have the labor layer visibility. That means if you have assigned you our model, model elements in two layers, you can change. You can hide all appear these layers inside you. Inside do a rendering like the kind of effect you can get it really easily and you can use autumn colors. That means you can change the tree colors from here. Likewise, I don't need that one at the moment. You know that you can understand the differences. Here. Camera, you can have many fixed depth of field lens play on chromatic aberrations and the fisheye effect. Slider, a fisheye usual camera effect on the fisheye. And you have many options. Other things we have already talked about that now animation is also we have talked about that and the artistic 12 and advance. You can Find the TN, you can use these things, watercolor, sketch effect. Likewise, in advance, you might be able to find shadows, reflections, global eliminations, skylight me at slip planes. We have usually use most of the settings to our renderings and highlight. That means it was given by the Lumi on team that can enhance you. I made, you can use that one here. Remember that if you're using more hyper light, that mean you are graphic card will use the power to render the image. Just remember that. I think we have covered most of the settings now. Actually, we have talked about image rendering, the video rendering and the panorama rendering. Likewise, actually, remember, just remember that these renderings are up to your preferences. You have to try one-off, one-by-one each of the settings by yourself and get to know what will be the most beneficial effect to get more realistic image, just remember that, just try trial out everything. Then you can find a potential preset. Then you can save that present to next term settings as well. Just remember that.
