Creating Paper: Well, we open Procreate and what you should do is to create custom sized paper. And for that, we will go and tap Plus and tap plus one more time. Then we need to switch from pixels into inches. Because that's very important. Because if you keep pixels and type the size, nine per element, quality might be not good. And as you see, the GPI, make sure is 300 DPI is that we have in our Canvas, then tap Create. So we have our paper. And as you see, this is perfect for the postcard. And you're going to use this size. Next step, I will show you what our freebies and rare to find them. So first of all, all freebies. And that includes watercolor, paper color palette, and new brush set. Also the paintings that I created set my help you to create your own art. And all of it you can find in my class in the projects and resources section. Once again, make sure that you're open my class in browser. It can be Chrome or Safari. Please make sure that you don't open my class on Skillshare app because in this case, my freebies might not be visible. So once again, you go to the browser, it can be e.g. Safari. You go to my class, you'll find projects and resources section. And in the right corner, you can see under the headline resources you can see all my freebies. Then your downloads them. So after that you go to Files app and said all iPads have. And next, in downloads folder, you can find all your previous. Next step. What can help us? Actually, we can split the screen into two parts. And from the right part, we can have e.g. procreate and from the left files app. So let's do it like that. Next move a little bit to the edge and you can split the screen in this way. Next, actually I have another folder, it's called art classes, but your folder view but downloads folder. And as you might see also babies are here because watercolor paper swatches, sketches, and actually brush set. Next step how to export all of it, and it's pretty simple. First of all, we need just to drag and drop it into Procreate and automatically you see it's inputting into the pallets. You see we have three dots. We need to tap and write set as default. I don't have it here because it's already set as default. You'll see we have this like a birthday. But if you want to set it as default, I can show you that with another color palette. You tap three dots and you see we have set as a default that we need to tap. Once again, it's already here. We need to move to the disk and we have our color palette over there, right under our circle that actually can help us to change some colors if we need. So we can do saying this, our brush set, we can just drag and drop. I already have it here. Yeah, Boone, your watercolor. I'll show you the brushes a little bit later, saying you're gonna do with sketches, drag and drop. It's here, create one more layer. Also. Turn it off. Visibility. Drag and drop things. Turn it off, create one more layer. And next, we need to drag and drop our paper as well. Drag and drop paper here. Perfect. Now we need our folder so we can close files app. And next, let's just rotate our paper accordingly to the size of our canvas. So just rotate. And after press Fit to Canvas. And you see we still have some edges. It's totally normal. Make sure that you have uniform turned on and move it a little bit to the edges. And our watercolor paper is ready, but we also need to make a texture. And I'll show you how to do that. Once again, make sure that your sketches I hear. Yeah. Okay, We have our paper. Next step should be we need to duplicate it. Then we need to change that blending mode to sit. Now it's normal. We need to move to Linear Burn blend mode. And with another paper beneath to move to color burn. Its first, it might be a little bit difficult, but when you do it many, many times, it will be so simple. Then we need to duplicate linear burn mode onetime. Duplicate. And we need to duplicate color burn mode, also Color Burn paper. Also onetime them, the kingdom. Then let's just merge together Linear Burn papers like this. I selected two papers for you. It's easier to understand what I am going to merge and just pinch it with two fingers. Say my Adobe Color Burn. I select the two layers and I just pinch it. Then. After that, we go to linear burn mode. And we need to lovers are positive deals, 65%. Because we met doing it to make sure that our paper is not dark. Then V select two layers, likes head, how to do, how to select two layers. So e.g. one layer is selected if I need to select another one when you just to move to the right thing and group it. Then let's rename our paper layer group and write paper. But kept perfect. Now here and as a paper layer group, this one, you see now everything that you have underneath our paper layer group will have watercolor texture. So once again, make sure that you paint underneath, not about our paper layer group. Because if you do so, you will lose watercolor texture. So once again, move it under our paper layer. Let's rename it and ride sketch. Yes, same here. Perfect. Now let's create a couple of new layers. And right, paint here. Now, duplicate. Now indicated abdicate. Four times should be fine. So we have our sketches, we have our paper. Now, I want to show you what are the brushes that we have for today's class. And those brushes are pretty interesting. As you might see. I created the brush set where we have native Procreate brushes that I am using for my watercolor illustrations. Also, I prepared for you sound old brushes that we already were using during our previous Skillshare classes. And I prepared for you in your watercolor brushes. Same, we have some textured brushes and we have sound watercolor stamps and just stems that will help us to reach lovely effect in our illustration. And you see the brush set is huge. And once again, procreate brushes. We have mercury brush six B pencil. I can show it to you. Let's turn off the sketch. Mercury brush can help us to add tiny details to maybe show some color, some details. Six B pencil, perfect, because I like to create my sketches with this pencil. And then oriental brush. This brush is amazing. If you want to create some flowers, e.g. like peonies, you see it's perfect for blended effect. Also, it's good if you use it as a blender. So I drew the legs, this brush. You see it can help us to create peony business seconds. I don't think that you don't need to be like perfect artist if you want to paint such kind of illustration. But your canvas perfect artist. Oberon brush you're going to use for our vintage style wipes. So it will help us to create some rough ethics. Some like edge Lyons said, veal, age, our paper. Annex pleasure, reward. I like this brush because also it can help us to create some like lively fx is actually if you want to draw a peony and you want to add some dark shades, it's perfectly safe for Ed and those tiny details for Adrian. Sound, rough, dark elements. Also lovely floral. And it's good if you want to draw some loose watercolor petals and loose watercolor leaves, that flag. One. I've also great brushes. I like to use it as a blender. But once again, you can use it as a regular brush as well. Next, my brushes, poor, perfect watercolor brush. I like this brush because it can help us to add those watercolor effect. If you press lighter, you will have light color. If you press harder, you will have dark pigmented. And this is basic brush, book glazing brush. Also one of the basic brushes can help us to add some watercolor Luke, press harder, you will have darker effect. And once again, also perfect for watercolor. It's actually also has some gouache whites, a little bit. So also great if you want to draw some floral watercolor brush. Also good one as a basic brush, it has two cell lines. Like some dry effect, more transparent watercolor. If you want to add just slightly. Some color variations like Whoa, whiter color drops, great brush for adding sound. Same color variations. To add watercolor effect to your art. You can mix with some other shapes. It's very good at this mixing. You see like organic. We grabbed blue and red color and it turns out that we have purple one here. You see it's very, very natural and very realistic textures. More dense texture, cool. If you want to add some salted effect, or you see here, or if you want to add some splatters. Watercolor texture, dry effect can help us to reach this dry. Ethics press harder, have less texture, press lighter. You have two cell lines. Both flashes. Just brothers. Said we'll add beautiful watercolor look. Traditional art, board dots. This is more dense and more opec splitters also is good for the texture stamps. Briefly show you what as stamps, I like some patches. Edit art to our lovely brush set. Same. It's also good if you want to add some wipe, vintage, retro vibe to your art. Okay, here we have six handwriting's. We're going to add them in the end of our art. You see, and it's so cool if you truly want to create some kind of wins. Which art? Because as you know, we have postcard, we're going to create a postcard now. And all those handwriting's for pretty popular. Like here. I tried to create different styles. I tried to add some, like the ear, emphasize some Bohr taking mixed together some of the handwriting's and watercolor stamps, I create lots of them. Stems will help us to add some realistic look to our art. You can control the size and sponge texture. It's a little bit darker one. I kill it clear that. So we already have watercolor paper. You just saw a wood as a brushes. And what is the color palette? And our next step will be, I will show you how to, what other ways, how we can create lovely floral illustrations, can loose watercolor style. 3. Ways of Painting Flowers: We are ready to start painting. So our next step feel the I will show you what other ways we can use in order to create those watercolor artwork, in order to paint loose watercolor flower. And I'm going to use the sketch, maybe that one. Yeah, and let us lovers the opacity of the sketch til 50%. Next head. Next. I'll show you the rice. What we can do. And first of all, we can use oriental brush. It's very interesting way how to do it. And with this brush, you just press control the size. And if you press lighter, you will have lighter pregnant. If you press harder, you will have harder pigment. And guys, speaking about the references where you can get all the references if you don't know how to add some colors, I'll show you. We can go to a website like pexels.com or unsplash.com. And you can search for the pictures for inspiration. All the pictures there for your personal and commercial purposes. I already found some lovely art, some lovely illustration. You see some peony, some flowers here. E.g. I. Can use chose this one also. Now I can split the screen like what we did with files app. Lexi. I can lower the size and little bit like that. Okay, Cool. So actually we will not use a sketch for now because I will just show you the basic ways, a basic formula, how to create as os p on illustration. As you see, the flower has a round shape and the petals, so they are like clay or in the 11 another. So in this case you just need to draw yeah, one petal. So you start with a free tier light stroke and after you release a little bit, the brush and it has lighter texture. And you just need to draw in a circular way. Remember some of the petals can overlap each other. If you don't like something, just tap two fingers and you can undo your action. So you see now, I know like the size of this petal, so I will just deleted two fingers and I delete it. I like this brush because like he's away. How your press VL defined, your petal, defines a way house a flavor would look like. Can it be mighty on NADH also, yeah, you can draw, you can play with shapes and tried to draw like bigger petals from the outer part and inside the flower will have smaller size. So if I press slide from scipy Kenya and after we press harder, mobility with back-and-forth and release ZBrush. Same here. This brush is perfect for such kind of flowers. So this is the first way how to create such kind of illustration. If you want to add a little bit of another color, It's possible just go grab a little bit darker color. Then you need to press Select. Now 0 fluoro is selected. And after grabs a brush. And after that you can just go and change the color a little bit. Like you see, like purplish. So when you press Select, you can just paint reasons that we just drew. We can go beyond the lines. Same f x we can reach if we press Alpha Lock. I'll show you this way. I want to keep this color so I don't want to change it. Maybe a little bit reddish. So we can turn off the selection. How to use Alpha Lock. We need to press, go to the layer, press alpha lock, and now we can just draw on our area with the flower. And you see I can change the color. I can use darker colors, so you will see the differences here. It's very convenient if you want to add some color variations to our flexible blue flower. Yeah, like I said, if you want to recolor it, cut it out and it's blue. It's all shapes, sizes. It's very interesting way. Also what it can do it you might not paint on this flower. If you want to keep the previous one, you can duplicate a layer. Yeah, we need just to press alpha lock and now we don't select Alpha Lock mode. And you see we turn off this layer. Let's return to the one where we have our Alpha Lock. Same if you want to recolor, you can grab any other brush and just color it. Thanks to the shades that we had previously, There's another color. It also helps you keep says shades this volume. So now we have blue flower, which is also very beautiful. So this is one of the ways and also press Alpha Lock. Now, it's not in alpha lock more. Yeah, we have one flower, we have another flower. Let's just put it here. If you want to rotate it, change the size, place it next to each other. So it can help us to create, if you want to paint a floral bouquet by doubling, creating, and changing the shape and size of the color, you actually can create a few florals without painting one more floral. Let's just press and assembly how to change color. So we have our floral here and we can go to hue, saturation, brightness. And we also might change the color of our floral. I like this one. Also situations can be more or less saturated, brighter, lighter like that. And automatically thinks by painting, just wonderful lover will have three different flowers. Just select it and group. I can either way, how to paint rubber. For that? We will use the sketch. Oh wait, it's upside down. And next step, I'm on a layer paint here. Let's just grab this pinkish color. And let me choose actually, same as oriental brush. We have leather wood brush, which is also truly cool if you want to draw. Okay, let me show it. If you wanted to draw some peony or some other flower. Controls, the size, capacity seem like I told you from the outer part, we have less pigmented paddles and inside, closer to the center. Zach color will be more saturated. Maybe less. Yeah, Lexus. And this is a floral style because you see it doesn't have such, I don't look straight edges. So you have some room for imagination. You can loggers the size and draws a stem. Like sad increases size, big, and draw you a way. How you can draw a flower with this brush. Also within seconds, as you see. Like Santa. Also pretty simple way. Again, this is one more way how to draw floral. I'll turn it off. Once again, duplicate the layer. And now it's my favorite way. I'll turn on sketch. I'll return to the pink color. And then I'm going to use you see my steps. I truly like to yourself. So lets just grab it. Our aim is to try to find the same way. Like the same way how our petals look like. E.g. here. Little bit color bleeds out or out of SAP petals, but it's totally normal because later we're going to use another watercolor brush. So it can help us to emphasize the sides a little bit. I can duplicate it and go to another floral and also add some kind. Here. Yeah. Maybe paying just one flower. Let's just keep stick to the one. Blubber. Just try to rotate it and see what is the best way. Yeah, here where we can place a system. Also duplicate one. Let's go and grab another stamp. Maybe as a stamp tool. You can cut it if you see that it's not perfectly fits to the size, to the shape of our flower. It's also fine. I think I want to place it here. Yeah, But you see one part of the flower doesn't feed. So I just selected with the selection tool and press cat how to find this cut option three fingers down. And you see we have card copy, copy all duplicate, cut and paste and paste. Wikileaks itself. Perfect. If you talk about loose watercolor art, because those watercolor means we use our imagination. We tried to find captures the essence of the art. Don't just go strictly. Like don't just fall. Just slides are just rules. Right on the head here. I have made my bed. Make sure your paint on a new layer, not the same one, sorry. Use free form. We need to make it thinner. Legs the stem. It just follows the day room. Same if you want, you can duplicate it and goes to the previous layer is this one, and erase some overlap pins. You see it's so cool to have stamps because you don't actually even need a brush if you have it. Except of course, Let's just add some petals. You can blend some part as a blender. Has a blender I'm using Catholic. Likes ahead. Let's return and glands some edge lines like this. Again merge together. So the next step, we'll just go and grab one of the watercolor brushes that we have. And I think I will use book glazing brush. We're going to create one more layer on the needs of everything and probably will change a little bit of shade. I've gotta use more reddish color. And my aim is to show the edges. Once again, don't do it perfectly. Jasmine place where you think it's necessary. And also in the same time, you can blend some edge lines and you still can keep our sketch. Startle the normal. You don't need to turn it off. Same they're gonna do with this green color. Once again, don't try perfectly, just some of the shapes that you think would be perfect. And one of the things my suggestion, what we can do is I will grab your watercolor drops. I will grab totally red color. Because I want to add some drops. Some watercolor effect. This is like, you just like put a little bit offset pure color to this part. This brush is perfect for loose watercolor part. And also, you might blend shapes like one and another, like green color can bleed a lethal oh, pink one. Likes it. Yeah, it says a way how we can draw those watercolor art. And if you want to remember that about the tiny details, we have booths splashes, we can add some sand. This is a little bit time-consuming way. How to draw a house to paint loose watercolor art. But it's truly, truly rewarding. And it creates just amazing feeling. I'll say if you want, you can of course, add some background color. E.g. what a curved stem. Alexis. But make sure that you don't overlap with your art. Because here we have transparent watercolor. And if you draw as a background, if you add some color, make sure that you don't overlap of lava or because it will affect actual color to affect the color of the flower. And guys, one more option, how we can create loose watercolor illustration. It's just simply use watercolor brushes. So for our next way, we're going to use booklets and brushed. We need to create one more layer. And let's just simply weight. So they started business flower, Let's go. This blubber as well. And just try to gently emphasize each petal. Don't press too harsh. Slightly, little by little paint. One petal. Always buy an asset better. If you want to press harder, you, of course you can do it. And it will help us to add more shades to this pedal for some parts of it. And we can switch to a cream color. So now I want to show it. If you want to have like some shades, just press harder. If you want to show the volume that I mentioned. So you can use the same brush. You might grab a little bit reddish shade. I think that would be very beautiful. And for this type of painting, you're going to use Blender back many, many tastes. Also, I look cool guy. You can just duplicate it and you see it can help us to make our illustration more vibrant. Like that. Also neck Thien, a few one grab. I don't know, like reddish color. You might switch to another brush like bold watercolor drops. And this brush is amazing. You can draw on the same layer or you can create new one. But my suggestion for loose watercolor illustration, like I told you, you don't have some specific rules. And you might stay on the same layer. Like sad. Once again, don't be too accurate in your illustration. Of course, if you want, you can fall of the lions. You might not leave, say, you are not overlap edges or borders, or you actually can do. So. This is very lovely way. Also cool thing, research kind of illustration. We might go and grab mercury, brush, grab darker color, and emphasize some main lines. Oh wait, I'm going to draw those lines on a new layer because later I want to control the opacity. Yep. And as you wish, you might love her. So Opacity also switch the blend mode to multiply. And if you want, if you think that colors too brownish, what I think right now, you can go to hue saturation, brightness and play these color variations may get lighter, darker. It's up to you because saturated access. So this is one more way, how you can create one more fluoro if you don't like, just keep it that way. And also like I told you, you might grab stem brush, watercolor stem brush, or you can grab oriental brush and add a little bit hidden layer and add a little bit of background blending tool. This is one of the ways. Yeah, it's this one, my wife. And as a way, how you can add background color is x. Let me show it to you. And I will grab border color drops. Beaker can play with. Somebody. Can play this color variations. Yeah, It's very interesting to play with such kind of brush. You can also use this brush as blender. You see it has very natural like watercolor, bleeding, exit color one color police in unnatural. Yes. So this is a third way I think, for failure how to pay and lovely watercolor, flower it loose watercolor style. And now you're ready to move to next part. I will show you how to actually create a postcard in retro style thanks to loose watercolor technique. Let's go. 4. Adding Colors: So like I told you, we were going to draw this sketch. You're going to use this gauge for our illustration. This is a rough sketch that I created before the class. So it can help you draw, understand what you're going to draw and what is the approximate. Looks at v can reach the end of our class. But of course this is not entirely our finished illustration because this has striations is postcard is pretty lovely, but it's not a vintage style one. And we're going to age our illustration a little bit and I'm going to show you how to do that. But pretty much we cannot have the same result in the end of our class. So I'm going to use some references because we need to know how to draw roses. And like I told you, some of the pictures you might find on a website or pexels.com or unsplash.com. And you're going to use those pictures as references. I'll show you. So I truly like source flowers, unlike say light and shade. We also have this puny same. We have beautiful flowers here. So, so many examples. And let's start painting. Let's return and grab one of these illustrations as our reference. If you're gonna go into Canvas and tap reference. And after go to image and just downloads one of the pictures that you like from the pexels.com or unsplash.com. And you will download those pictures to Camera Roll enough to say just simply open it with our reference option. Okay? So once again, we need to create one more layer underneath our sketch and underneath our paper layer group. And let's just group our examples. Yeah, thinking here, and you're going to paint a nice examples, turned off all of them. Yeah. So it's not visible anymore. And we have new layer. And then I'm gonna go and grab minus ten brushes. And guys for Zeus illustrations for this postcard, I will combine a few ways how to paint our lovely florals. So I'm going to use watercolor stamps, and I will also use watercolor brushes altogether. Stem three. Let's find subway. Grate would be perfectly, I think here. Can you see some part just bleeds out of the edges of the rows and it's totally normal because this is the way how loose watercolor illustrations are created. And actually we can use it one more time. Let's think what is the best way where it fits perfectly? Maybe here makes this kind of be kills a perfect guys. If you think it's a little bit too big or you might change position one of the stamps, you can do it. You go to Adjustments, press Adjustments button and go to liquefy, and select push size to 60 or something and just push the part that you think. It's like out of wine. Yeah. Likes head. Merged together. Duplicate it again. You here. And I'm going to have the same color. I'm going to change the stem brush tool, stamp, no stem for us to be stems to strengthen it. Find. And also guys, like I told you, if the sample is too big, you have an option. You can just cut one part of the stem. I'll show you how. I think this isn't good. So I think this part is not suitable. I'll go grab selection tool, grab free hand, and select this part. After that you have three fingers and you move them down. Down and press cat. Here we have tiny gap. If you want to make it softer, just use blender and blend some part. Also I think this part is tools dark. So I'm going to use Liquify and then push it a little bit, 50 per cent. And I push it a little bit to decide can merge together and saying we have one more flower. Let me choose one. I still go stick to whatever else, temp three. Because I think it's perfectly fits a shape of our roses. Yeah, good. Now needs to change anything, duplicate it again. Now if you're gonna grab another color, let me think which one? Maybe it's this green color here. This one's a little bit pricier. Same stamp bag on a new layer. And I'm going to put it here. Free form. New particle, free. Free form can help you to change their proportion. Perfect. I can't keep it here. Duplicate one more layer. And then we're gonna go and grab stamp to flex and think where you can put it. Put it here, change the size and proportional little bit. Grabbed Liquify tool and push side, push it here. This part, I'm going to erase. And Qi Dan resource parts as well merged together, duplicate one more time. Now I'm going to add some stem to this area. I'm going to change the color to red Schwann cell. Let's think what Stanford for suitable use uniform. I don't want to distort the proportions right now. Here. Eraser. Go to curves and think about the color. I made it slightly lighter because I don't want it to be out of the picture, out of illustration and keep it away. Yeah. So then I could go returned to say, I'm going to merge two layers where we have petals, like what I teach right now. Perfect. Now create one molar on the knee. Nice. And I'll stick to the reddish color more or less. And I will go to the regular brush, watercolor brush. Oh, let me think which one I'm gonna use. It can be, it can be, it can be more transparent. Watercolor controls the size and just go to the edges, emphasize some of the edges. Remember, press harder, you will have more pigment. So I think which part you want to emphasize? You don't need to do it like everywhere. Steal some parts can be not that accurate and people need to use imagination in order to understand what is painted on an illustration. Now green color. Abdicate and also draw it on a new layer. Inventory later you're going to use a nice brush. So you really need to make it perfect. A stamp. You might emphasize this stamp, but my suggestion is don't be too dangerous, too dark color. Brush, It's very gentle. You can barely see said to shape our stamp thanks to this brush. Now, if you want, you can duplicate the layer you see and you made it so saturated, so pride here from this side. And I like it. And same you can tell this green color. Now, our next aim is we can change the color if you want. So you're gonna go to the layer with a stamps, watercolor stamps goes to hue, saturation, brightness. And think about the current can be bluish like this blue color. So I'm going to keep it that way. You can control the saturation a little bit. Remember, don't use too bright colors because for the vintage style, colors should be slightly muted. And save it. Just tuition brightness and think about the color. I'm going to stick to the more reddish shades like Saturday. So I can blend. But now I think we can add a little bit of background color. So duplicate paint layer here, and this layer is underneath of everything, grabs his blue color. Also, I think it would be great to use some stamp brushes. Here. Just think about the stems at Eawag with mine. And I'll show you, you might use this one. Awesome as it stems, tests, experiment. We have some Backgrounds tabs. Here. There exists one. You see our watercolor is very transparent. Later you're going to remove the transparency, not entirely, but pretty much. We will not see this. Blue background throws a color. So you ideas is fun, but I want to use more gentle way. Uniform. You can make it slightly bigger. Now, I want to merge together and our stem villus petal, like says. And now I want to remove the transparency a little bit. How to dose it duplicates the layer. So why we need to remove the transparency? Because he said, throw the color, we see our background color and actually, I don't want colors interfere with another. So in this case I duplicate the layer, go to Lorber layer, then go to Adjustments, Hue Saturation and Brightness. And more brightness to maximum 100 per cent. But also what's interesting and important. I said, I don't want to remove the transparency entirely because I'm going to change the background color and the color of our, our rows should bleed into another car and remove the transparency entirely. It might not look natural. So I just duplicated the layer enough to turn the color of the lower layer into survive color. And then I will merge it together. And I just do it one time. Say I'm going to do with rocks is deprecated. If you want to keep said bright color, you can do it. You can duplicate it as many times as possible. But I, like I told you, I wanna keep muted colors and marched against. Good. Now we'll go to our background color. And I think I want to create one more layer, and I will add some color here. And I'm going to change. Color. Now has a color to purplish one less thing, which color would be suitable? I think this one looks good. And now I want to merge together those two colors. Go grab eraser and erase over lipids. Because still if you have some areas where people don't have any colors, and this part a now is filled with blue color because of the background color. And we don't need that. So just simply erase this part. In some parts you can just split one coloring and other likes here. Can it might look very realistic. Good. So this is our background color. It looks wonderful. And we have the neck veins. And next part of our class where I will show you how to add some shades and highlights. Let's go. 5. Adding Shades and Highlights : We are ready to move to next step, which is adding shades and highlights. Guys to be create new layer which is on top of everything. We're going to grab Bu, water drops. And then let me think. We're going to add little by little. Shake. The hand, of course controls the size of the brush. Don't make it too big. Remember we also have our reference pictures that we have. But once again, you don't need to follow the sauce illustration like step-by-step. Just you might use it as a reference and app to add a little bit of your own inspiration. And think, what do you want to show to people and just experiment. You might choose another color and so on and so on. So I would be happy to see that you add your own patient does this illustration. Let's create one more layer above. By the way, this layer, my suggestion, Let's move blend mode to multiply. Let's create one more layer, same move plain layer mode to multiply, grab greenish color and move it a little bit to the blue side. And also let's add some shade little by little. Biggest shade will be in the area where they just underneath leaves because it casts a shadow to this area. And same with the floral. So in areas where two objects are next to each other have more shapes. Here we have petals and we have this part of his tibia and this area is darker. I like the shapes. We're going to keep some awesome guys. I think I want to change the color of his little bit codes to hue saturation, brightness. And I want to make some slightly more bluish. And also you can make it darker or lighter. It's up to you. I'm going to make some a little bit lighter, just a tiny bit. And of course I will saturate it a little bit also five per cent. So I'm pretty much satisfied with what we have. Now this is known as a hand. Now, I'm going to, let me think. Okay, great. I'm going to move it to the florals. Guys. I want to make this rose brighter. So in this case we go to curves. And this is so convenient. You might play around and make it more colorful, more saturated. Just play this curve like I just showed to you. Same these leaves. Course. That's what we had before. Instead what we have right now. I like it. So it will be pretty much dark, like sad. And next, so as you see from our reference picture, we still have some parts at a pretty much a perfect dark. And I'll show you the way how to achieve that. So either create one layer above everything and set it as a multiplied. And we're going to keep it like that. And after that, I will go and grab mercury brush. Grab this green color. Just show the darkest part. And later you're going to blend samplings edges. Because poor vintage style illustration, we can have the contrast it would be even could. So some darker spots. Also, I think if you want to make some darker, you can do is with curves. If you want to make it lighter, almost the same, you can do it thanks to the curves. And I'm going to do the same. We use. Let's go and grab this dark red color. Same as our own. Now we're going to go to curves and how to make it brighter or darker is, and now I made it brighter, very saturated. And it looks like this, what the head we have right now. My next step is I'm going to merge together those two layers. Here. I'm going to merge together those two layers as well. And next step is I will go to the layer by behalf of lover and I'll press Alpha Lock. It means that I can draw here and I will go and grab another brush. We just pull water color drops here. And I just want to emphasize the darkest part. Let me turn it off for awhile. It means I want to show you. So some people I called them. So these green colors go craft or not clipping mask, alpha lock, greenish color. You can emphasize it too late for me. Now let's coat color. Let's just blend some part. Kids. Let's return. Correct. Pinkish color. Let's just say some greenish color. To some Florence. It's like the color bleeds one another. E.g. here. Hence same viz, reddish color. Next step, I want to ask a little bit. So let's just turn off the Alpha Lock mode. And I'm going to merge together all those florals. I think it's fine. And I'll create one more layer to multiply. And I'm going to add a little bit of a stems watercolor stamps to our illustration. And I'm going to use watercolor, loose watercolor stamp tool, and loose watercolors temp one. This part. And I'll show you what you're gonna do. I truly like so strokes as a very, very stylish. Let me think we're speaking. And he sees they can help us to reach Beautiful, Look what it looks like. As usual, all those layers should be in Multiply, blend to the layer mode, merged together, create one more layer, multiply, stamp upon, perfectly feet apart. Actually, I can duplicate it. This part. I'm going to erase this area. Have you have the white color, duplicate it again, and place it to his parents and merge together. Now, let's play this color. I like this red shade. You can desaturate it a little bit. And it's pretty much the same here. Tuition, brightness. Think about it. I made it Elizabeth. Yellowish. Can desaturate it all, saturate. Make it brighter or lighter. And what I'm going to do next is able to save with our lovely leafs. Hence, this brush is truly perfect for those watercolor art. Because as you might see, the strokes, I truly like watercolor. Strokes like it, like an authentic watercolor art. To click Create. Once they're typically, you can erase some parts. Like here. Duplicate it again. Go to this mobile, it rotate in any way you like. Maybe one more strokes. Marriage to pay. They're merged together. Think about as a color, hue, saturation, brightness. I Alexis bluish color. And I want to add one more stroke here to the top. Multiply. And I truly likes those brush strokes. Organic. Now guys, you might see this is what we heard this out as stroke. This is what we have. Set, some sharp parts. So we don't need to reference picture anymore. And now we're ready to move to next part. And we're going to turn our illustration into vintage style. 6. Adding Vintage Vibes: Okay, let's add the final details and turn our illustration into vintage ones. And our next step up, if you're going to add some splatters, Let's find them, those flashes here. Guys, as you see, I created one layer above and I moved to blend mode to multiply. And let's just briefly place it all around. Now, green color. Now green color and green together. Like fit. Very, very lovely. So this is not the end. I'll create one more layer to multiply. And I'm going to add tiny details. But I think it's important to show tiny parts of it. And saying this green color. Just as precise and main line like this. Yes, pretty much it. Good. Side to light to a one looks like once again, you can play with the opacity or you can just simply go to curves and adjust the saturation and also thereby brand City of our rows. Next via ready to turn out our illustrations into how we styled one. So for set, we need to a tiny bit of highlights. And she keeps the same random layer mode, mercury brush. You can just add a little bit of prized by color. You can reverse that to make it more or less saturated. I will keep it centered way. And finally, now we're going to go to the lower layer and we're going to fill this area with the color. You can grab this yellow Schwann, or you can play with some, you can adjust and grab another color that you like. This one. Blow over, place it underneath everything. And you can love herself. Dislike. I think it's too yellow, so I'm going to go to hue, saturation and brightness. A proper color. This is what the searching for. Creative old way, how the paper look, it's at time begins the day. And I feel I still think that we need to erase grab eraser. As an eraser, you might grip mercury brush, or my suggestion. We're gonna go and grab that flag brush as a leader because I was, the strokes will be softer. So we're going to erase some parts, So keeps us white texture, but you don't erase it entirely. This will be erasing little by little because it's still should look like vintage style to pay per run. Next part, we need to add some kind of texture. Go move to change the blend mode to Multiply, Multiply, come back here like this. And now you might grab this dark yellow color. With greenish. Or you might go and grab slightly orange one and the other on. Set it to some maximum. And slightly press little by little. What else you can do if you think that the lines are too thin? In this case, we can go to Properties, okay, this is maximum. Here. Mixing mixing pad, make it bigger. The maximum size also can be because that's what we omit. The Lower South erase overlapping. So he says This helps us to make our illustration pretty vintage style. Male two on my suggestion, create one more layer above mode to multiply and grip even darker shade. Darker shade, and just add some color. We see dark brown color. Place it joseph. Don't press. Press likely. Guys. Now it turns out paper into an old styled paper. Once again, this is known as end. Our next step UP going to create one layer above everything. Perhaps it's nearly black color. And next steps building, you're gonna go and grab one of our handwriting stamps. And we're going to use it for our illustration. So clean gray, you want to place it? Once again, we have our reference picture, some example. And you might place or it says stem brush. They can try it. And somewhere here, my suggestion just, let's grab a few handwriting stamp brushes and place them around. I'm going to keep C here. Here. Here I combined two stems. I like to mix different like handwriting styles. We can even make it a little bit bigger. Because I'm going to make it look pretty. So think about the competition role should be pretty much big. So I'm going to keep us at Ray. And guys. They've done with our lovely illustration. If you still want to add tiny details, you might keep going. Keep experimenting with your art. Stamps. You still can age our paper, galaxies, like I just showed to you. Experiment and play said from the edges here and there. Just think, What do you like? Keep playing. And I hope you will like your art. Okay, as it says it. And for our today's class, we finally create lovely watercolor illustrations, this one. And I hope you like out this tutorial.
