1. Introduction to self-discipline: Hello everybody, welcome to the new class. This class is another part in being successful and achieving our goals, and getting to our passion and getting things done in managing our time, managing our life. It's another part this series because when I talk to people, I found that the main problem that they're facing while they're trying to achieve their dreams or goals or getting things done around their life. Their biggest problem was self-discipline. They were intended to achieve their goals. They were planning their goals. They were doing everything right, but they don't have the self-discipline, the self-control that can lead them to start actually doing the job and working on their goals and dreams. So today's class is mainly about self discipline. Because in order to achieve our goals and dreams and get the plans that we planned before done. We have to have the control on ourselves to start and to keep moving and to keep working on those goals and on those tasks, those dreams, those changes that we want to make in our life. Today's class is about self-discipline. So what we're going to learn about self discipline. Before I start to tell you what's in today's class, I wanted, I want you to know that self-discipline is the bridge from setting your goals to achieve than them. Okay? So you may, you may be took the first step and set your goals. And if you don't know how to set your goals, you can get back to a previous class I made before on how to set your goals and how to be successful in your life. You did that, you set your goals, you plan for them. Now we are getting into action. Self-discipline is the bridge between the two steps between setting goals and achieving them. Self-discipline makes you in control of your own life. Even if the, if those goals are not work-related, It's about control on your life. And how is that? If you're trying to do something in yourself, maybe personally you're trying to lose weight. You're trying to be happier. You are trying to be calmer. You're trying to be to not lose temper easily. You're trying to be patient. You're trying whatever you're trying to do in your life. Self-discipline gives you the control to do everything you want. Because if I'm e.g. if I'm trying to lose weight. Okay. So okay. I intended to lose weight. And I said that in order to lose weight, I need to go to the gym or workout data on a daily basis. I need to control to know a certain diet and a healthy diet and to change malnutrition to do. I intended to do this and I know exactly how to do it, but I didn't start. So self-discipline is the step. You need to control your life. You can control your feelings, you can control your intentions. You can control yourself to do whatever you want. That's what we are trying to do in this class. We're trying to teach ourselves how to control ourselves in order to get to what we want. Whatever that goal, whatever that wish, whatever that dream you have. You can do it if you started by controlling yourself and by pushing yourself to do it by self-disciplined. So what we're going to learn in this class, the first thing we're going to learn in this class is the benefits of self-discipline because you have to know why you need to discipline yourself and control yourself. We will find the benefits of it because if you knew exactly how does it benefit you, you can stick to it and you can start working on it in a second lecture in this class, we are going to learn the seven ways as you, as you read in the title, the seven ways you need to self-discipline. They are so, so easy, so practical, and I'm not doing it as a theoretical class or something and giving you points that you can't use in your own life nodes. They are very practical. You can use them easily if you just got the intention to start disciplining yourself to get your goals and wishes and dreams achieved. Let's get started in this class, and let's get started in achieving our goals. 2. Benefits of self-discipline: Okay, my friends, at the beginning before we start to know the ways that we need to take or we need to do to discipline ourselves to achieve our dreams are so we have to know why we need to discipline ourselves at the first place. Why we need to get that method and take it in our life. The benefits of self-discipline, they are for benefits. This, this lecture is very brief and I'm just getting, I'm just wanting you to know that why it's very important, why it can help, it can help you. Self-discipline can decrease and exciting. And how's that? If I have a goal that I need to get done, that I need to achieve, that I need to, to reach. I am anxious about it because I'm thinking about it. I'm afraid that I'm going to fail. I'm afraid that I can't do it. I'm afraid to start and so on. Self-discipline can help you decrease that an anxiety because it will help you get to what you want in the way that is releasing you from this and anxiety. It decreases your anxiety in achieving your goals. It also will give you the success in achieving goals. Because I have goals, I have dreams, I have tasks and targets in my life that I need to do. But I'm not moving forward those goals, okay? I'm not doing anything. Self-discipline can control your way. To achieve those goals, can make you success. Setting goals and planning for them or not enough. You have, you want to achieve goals, you have to walk for them, you have to work for them, you have to keep going to them. Self-discipline is that way to achieving your goals and keep walking towards them. It also gives you the happy feeling. It makes you feel happier. Why? When you discipline yourself? So you'll find that you are already achieving goals, you're already getting there step-by-step, of course, you feeling happier. Think about it. You have a big goal that you want to achieve. Let's take an example. As I said in the introduction, you want to lose weight, okay? So you know the plan, you have a goal, you want to lose weight. You plan for this, you need to work out on a daily basis and pieces. You need to change your diet. You need to eat healthy. You need to know more about you, the nutritions that you are taken and so on. Okay. You know, everything and you plan for everything but you didn't do anything, you did it work out, you didn't eat well, you didn't change your way of our change your diet. So you're not losing weight. Okay. So if I started to discipline myself and started to control myself to start to work out every single day for 10 min, for 15 min. And then I started to change my diet. I started to think about the food that I'm eating. I'm started to change it. Then I started to notice some results. Okay. I started to notice a change in my body, a change in my shape, a change in my health. How will that make you feel? Of course, it's going to make you feel better. It's going to make you feel happier when you are seeing the results to the goal that you want to reach. So self-discipline can make you feel happier in a way of being successful and achieving what you want. It also will make you become more resilient. Because now I can do whatever I want. Now, I can reach my goals. Now, I can set a target and do it. So next time, when I'm setting another goal, when I'm setting another target in front of my eyes, I trust myself that I can do it and I will do it because I can control myself. And I have self-discipline. I can reach whatever I want. So those are the benefits of your view. Disciplining yourself. You make, you feel better, you feel happier, you feel be resilient and get to what you want easily. You will not feel anxious, you will feel better, you will success. It's a huge change in your personality and in your life. Let's get to the seven ways that you need to do in order to have a self-discipline. 3. The 7 ways to self-discipline: Okay, Let's get into action. As I said before, those seven ways or show practical. So sample, not theoretical. You're not gonna get some points that you can read in a book and you can just read them today and forget about them tomorrow? No, they're practical that you can do them on a daily basis. Seven ways to self discipline. It's so easy. Let's get started and let's get things done. Retina number one is know your weaknesses and strengths. Before you start to do anything, you have to know what I am weak at and what I am strong at. Because that way you can define your way, define your plan. I am weak at that point. I can't do this. I struggle when I do this. Let's take the same example of losing weight. I don't like to work out every single day. It's heavy on me. I don't like it. You can change. This is your weakness. I don't like working out. You can work on that by, by how you can just start by only 10 min workout or you can choose the workout that you like. Maybe you can just go for a walk. You don't like to exercise, you don't like to do certain exercises every single day, so you can do them once a week and the rest of the week you can go for a long walk. And that's, it's interesting and enjoy for enjoyable. And you can enjoy that thing and you can do it easily and it's also working out. So you can substitute the thing that you're weak at with something that you are strong acids and the same thing with your strength. You can find the things that you are strong at that you can do them that you can, you know, that you're perfect Ted, and you can embrace them and work on them and use them to achieve your goal. Okay, so first, know your weaknesses and strengths in order to get to what you want. The second thing is removed temptations, remove distractions, remove everything that is stopping you from what you want. Because if you kept the temptations are all around you or the distractions all, all around you. You're not gonna do anything. You're not going to move. You're not going to take a single step to your target, to your goal. Okay? You're losing weight. You want to change your diet, okay? Don't go and buy junk food or groceries that are not useful for you and put them in the house and then try to control yourself to not eat them. This is a very huge temptation for you. Maybe you can't control it. Okay? So just get rid of those things and don't put them in front of your eyes until you just strengthen your intention. And even if you see something you don't reach for it because you're there, you get the results that you want. So you're not going to lose everything you did before. If you're starting and you still reaching your goal, don't put the temptations in front of your eyes and then say, I can't do it. No. Get rid of the temptations, get rid of the distractions, get rid of everything that is stopping you from reaching your goal. Number three is set clear goals. Set clear goals because if you are, goals are not clear for you or not obvious or not organized and planned. You're not gonna, you're not gonna achieve them. You don't, you're confused. Okay? And it's very complicated if you're confused too, you don't know what to do and when to do. Is this good for you? And what exactly do you need? What exactly are you going for? So if you, if you don't know how to set goals, how to make your goals obvious, and how to plan for them. You can get back, as I said to a previous class that I made about setting goals and how exactly you do them. You will find the details about setting your goals and making them obvious and planning for them. Go look, look for it. You will find that in a previous class and it's very helpful for you. So use those things. You use those things that we talked about in the previous class on setting your goals. So make them clear, make them obvious for you. So you know exactly what you're going for. You're not confused about your goals. Number four is practice, self-discipline every single day. Every single day. Okay. Don't do it today and then tomorrow. No. Okay. I'll leave it and then I'll start from tomorrow. Again. It's not a good thing. Plan. Have a plan and put it in your daily to-do list. I'm trying to lose weight, so I'm not going to say. The AI today, I'm going to control myself and I'm going to eat well, I'm going to work out. And then tomorrow I wake up in the morning. No, I'm not gonna do this today. I I don't feel like it. I'll start again from tomorrow. No. You're losing your focus, you're losing your intention. You lose in your plan, you're losing your goal. Practice, self-discipline every single day and make it in your daily to-do list. Today, I am working out for 10 min or I'm going for a walk for 30 min every single day I'm doing this. If you plan for this every single day, I am going to do this. Intended to do this, take the decision. Don't stop on a daily basis. Don't stop. Okay. Make it a daily habit. And then you will you will. No, you're not going to start over every single day. You're not going to start over again and again and again. No. You are already walking in on your way. Number five is take it easy. Okay. Don't put a lot of pressure on yourself. Some people when they are starting to achieve their goals, are starting to reach their goals. They take it so hard on themselves. It's heavy. When you feel that goal is heavy on your heart, you're not going to continue to reach it because it's something that you don't enjoy. Make your goals, make your achievement enjoyable. Love it. Enjoy it, make it interesting. Don't make it heavy on your heart. So take it easy on yourself. Make it a habit. It's something that I do every single day and I enjoy it. Maybe it's a little bit hard. Maybe it hurts a little bit. Maybe if you're losing weight. Okay. It hurts me a little bit to work out for ten, 15 min. My body aches, but okay. I'm reaching my goal. It's okay. It's a habit now that my, my, my body is going to be healthier, my shape is going to be better. And when I continue doing this, I'm not going to feel the pain anymore because my body will get used to. I do not try to talk to yourself like this. Try to just talk to your brain and talk to yourself as a separate person and try to convince them about the things that you're doing. Convince them about your ideas and notions, and make it easy on him, on yourself. Okay. It's a habit, It's a daily habit for you and try to achieve small steps every single day, day and then add up more gradually. Because if you started by big, huge steps, you are going to stop my friend. Trust me, you're going to stop. You're not going to continue because I'm losing weight. We are taking that example with, with us during the whole class, I'm losing weight. So I said from tomorrow I will start to work out heavy exercises for 30 min every single day. And I will cut off anything from my guide that is not healthy. I will eat very, very small meals. You know, it's very hard, It's very hard plan. So you will do it the first day because you have that power, that enthusiasm that, you know, that, you know that power that is leading us at the beginning to reach what we want, okay, for one day, two days, three days, one week, and then you're tired, you're not going to continue. Okay. You took it very heavy on yourself at the first place. So don't do this to yourself. No. Make it gradually. The first day, I'm going to work out for 10 min, only 10 min, only simple 10 min. And I will try to reduce the amount of the meals that I'm taking are the portions that I'm taking every single day. And after two to three days, gradually, I'm going to increase the time their workout every single day. So it's not 10 min, 15 min. And I'm trying to substitute my ingredients to healthier ones gradually, and so on. Don't try to, don't try to put a lot on your plate at first because you're not going to continue, you will get exhausted and you will stop eventually. Number six is trust yourself. As I said in a number five, Take it easy. Talk to yourself. And as I said, talk to yourself as a separate person. It's the same thing at that point. Talk to yourself as a separate person and tell yourself that I trust you. I trust that you can do it. I trust that I can do it. I can achieve that goal. I can lose weight. It's easy. It's easy. Everybody losing weight. Why don't I why can't I do this? It's easy for me working out. It's okay. I can do it. Maybe it's hurtful at the at the beginning. Maybe it's a little heavy, but I can do it. Okay. Talk to yourself, believe that you can do it and get rid of any concepts in your subconscious that are stopping you from getting where you want. Your subconscious will start to fight you. You're weak. You can't do this. You can't go on. You can't eat that salad, e.g. it's not delicious. Look at this salad and look at that burger sandwich. Of course the burgers and sandwiches hope it as better. But try to stop those notions. Stop those concepts. Top those ideas and things that are, that are trying to stop you from getting where you want, trust that you can do it. Yes. I can eat that cell and it's okay. Maybe now I'm not enjoying it and it doesn't taste the best for me. But then I'll get used to it and I will try to taste the ingredients and enjoyed them. Try to talk to yourself like this. Look at this walk that I'm taken today. While I'm walking, I know it's heavy to get moving for a long time. I know maybe my legs will hurt me later. But while I'm walking, I can take a look at the nature. I can look at the trees, I can breathe, I can feel better. I can straighten my back bone and B and have a better posture to my body. I can feel burning calories in my body while I'm walking and that's a good thing. Talk to yourself like this. Try to stop your subconscious from stopping you to reach your goal. Trust yourself. You can do it. Human being can do everything, every thing, if just he intended to do them. So know that you can do anything. You're powerful and you're strong to do whatever you want. The last point, forgive yourself. Forgive yourself. Sometimes you will fall, sometimes you will stop. Sometimes you will be desperate. If you don't see the results that you want. Forgive yourself. It's okay. It's okay. We all do it. We all do it. We all stop sometimes and then came back to it. But if you stopped once and you started to think now, another kind of person. Okay. I didn't stick to the plan. I didn't stick to the goal that I want it, so I'm not good enough for this or I'm not gonna do it. I'm weak and I can't do that. Look at all the negative thoughts than negative sentences, the negative words that you told yourself that can stop you and that is related to the previous point. You keep telling yourself negative thoughts. Those negative thoughts are getting into your subconscious and will turn into actions. Stop them from turning into actions, and just forgive yourself. It's okay today. I didn't do it right. Today is not the end of the world. Today is just the date. Tomorrow is another day. Tomorrow we can keep going tomorrow. We can do get back to our plan. Okay? Failure is expected. It's expected. You're not a robot. You're not something that, you're not something that doesn't fail. You're not a machine. You are human, you fail, you get back, you fail, you get back. The point is to get back, not stop on your failure. Those are the seven wastes. Easy, easy, easy, easy ways. Just tart on them. From today, not from tomorrow. From today. Set your goals, set a plan, know exactly what you want. Do the planet, put it in front of your eyes and practice self-discipline. You will do anything. You can conquer the world, you can do it. Let me know how did everything or did these ways worked for you? Thank you so much. See you next class.
