1. Embark on Your Language Journey with AI: Let's Dive In!: Hello, Banjo, everyone. My name is Papagazi and I'll be your instructor for this course on how to leverage AI specifically Chet GPT to build language learning and translation skills. Reflecting on my childhood, I'm reminded of the profound impact my father had on my life. He was a remarkable man who majored in languages back in his early college days. He knew over five languages and specifically spoke Spanish fluently, a skill he had acquired over years in business. However, there were moments when I struggled to fully understand him. Specifically, when he spoke to others in Spanish. Even as I admired his fluency, there was a longing within me to connect with him more deeply, to comprehend his words and share in his experiences. Tragically, my father passed away earlier this year, leaving behind cherished memories and a profound sense of loss. In his absence, I've come to realize the significance of language in our relationship and the desire to honor his legacy, by continuing to learn languages. In my search for tools to aid in my language journey, I yearned for something like Catch BT, a companion that could guide me in translating and understanding my father's words. Today, as I navigate through grief and remembrance, I find comfort in the power of AI guided language learning. With tools like Chat GBT, we can transcend linguistic barriers and connect with people no matter what the language they speak, whether it's Spanish, French, Portuguese, or any other language. This is why I developed this course in which you'll learn how to enhance your language skills, improve your communication abilities, and master the art of translation, using Chat GPT as your guide. Join me as we empower our language journey with Chat GPT. I'll see you inside. 2. ChatGPT Features & Benefits for Language Learning: Welcome to the first module of the course. So let's go ahead and embark and talk about next steps in our course. 3. Inside ChatGPT: Your Language Learning Hub: All right, everyone. So I want to start getting into Chat GPT, language learning. You know, as you saw in the intro video, I've always been a big fan of learning languages. And I want to learn more. You know, I want to learn Spanish. I want to learn French. I want to learn mandarin. I want to learn it all. I mean, it's just a passion of mine. I really enjoy languages on all levels. I believe it widens your horizon, allows you to meet new people and communicate with folks who you wish you could communicate with, but you don't have the capabilities or the skills. So not with the availability of Chat GPT, That can be made possible. So I want to jump right into it. I want to show you a few examples of how you can get started with Chat GPT for language learning and sort of build some skills, at least basics like fundamentals of a given language that you're interested in learning. So let's jump right into it. Let's open up Chat GPT here. And let me go ahead and show you an example or two of how we can go about communicating with Cat GPT. Now, in order to access Cat GPT, you simply go to chat open ai.com, and you just basically log in, you can log in with your Google or your apple account or just sign up with your e mail address. But once you do log in, you know, here's your prompt box, and this is where you're going to message chat GPT and prompt it accordingly. 4. Prompts for Learning Language Fundamentals: Okay, so you can pick any language you want. So if you have, for instance, your target language is Spanish. We'll start with Spanish because that's what I'm most interested in right now, but you may have a different language that you're interested in. But say, for instance, you know, we wanted to go with Spanish. I want to prompt Chat GPT accordingly, and I want to make sure that I ask it the right things because the way you prompt Chat GPT, you get your desired response accordingly. So I'm going to start with something basic. I'll say something like, for instance, please provide me with the top 20 words used in the Spanish language. And you can enter whatever language you want here. But again, because Spanish is what I want to focus on, I want to start with learning some basic fundamentals. So please provide me with the top 20 words used in the Spanish language. And there you go. So As you can see, I have a list here of various common used words in the Spanish language. And I can start there, okay? And next to it, it tells me what the translation is. Okay? So, if I pick a random one, for instance, number 12 says PR, right? Number 17 says Para or 18 is Esta or 19 is me. Okay. So these are all means for me to start learning the fundamentals. So, say, for instance, I wanted to expand on this. Let's say, for example, I was interested in learning more about PR, okay? So I'll say, can you give me a expression or an expression that uses You can either say number 12 because it'll link number 12 to the word attached to it, or you can say poor. Okay? So I'll just say, can you give me an expression that uses number 12, and it'll basically give me something. Okay? And then, as you can see, it gave me Gracias Portu Aguda, which means thank you for your help. All right? And that's already a means for me to start building and learning some basics. So that would be the first step is start with basic words, basic expressions and build on that. Okay? Let's say, for example, we tried that again, and we say, now, can you give me an expression or at this time, a sentence that utilizes number 19, which is me, meaning my. Let's see what that gives us. Okay. So we got a longer sentence here. It basically says, I'm going to visit my grandmother this weekend, Vovistar Abula Estefan Dimana. Okay? So I obviously have to work on my pronunciation. It is something that I personally have to develop, and that's why I want to utilize Chat GPT to help me. So with Chat GPT, you can start learning the words. You can also start learning the pronunciation, which I'll show you how to do as well, something I need to work on. Okay. But this basically is great because, I mean, it tells you the you know, the verbiage of it in the original language. And then right next to it, it'll tell you the translation. 5. Time to Speak Up! ChatGPT's Voice Power: Okay, so building up on what we've learned so far, you can actually use Chat GBT voice, which is available in the mobile apps, and you can communicate with Chat GBT using, you know, your voice, you can talk to it, and this is a means for learning language in such an easy and simplistic manner because it's like you're talking to a person. It's just artificial, right? But you're literally communicating with a machine that uses natural language. It uses the same language that we humans speak all the time. So it's great. And I'm going to show you how to do that. I'm going to show you how to download the mobile app and then enable the chat voice feature. So you can start communicating with Chat WT on a regular basis and learn language. You can practice learning language itself. You can practice pronunciation, you can practice translation and much more. So let me go ahead and show you how to do that. 6. Bonjour! Practicing Pronunciation with ChatGPT: Okay. So the first thing that you're going to want to do is grab your iPhone or Android, Samsung, whatever it is that you have, but the Chat GBT voice feature is available in both the iPhone and Android. So I'm going to demonstrate how to do so using the iPhone since that's what I happen to have. You're going to go ahead and go to the app store. When you're here, just simply type, Chat GBT actually comes up as the first one there. So, I happen to have mine already downloaded right here. I mean, I can update it, but for now, it's okay. We'll go without that. And then basically or, you know what? Let's just go ahead and quickly update it takes like a second. I'm going to click Open. Okay. And then now that I'm in the Chat GBT app, I can simply use this for enabling the Chat GBT voice feature. And you could do so by if you look on the bottom right corner there, there's a little headphone sign. So I can simply just click that and then essentially start talking to it. So we'll do just that Let's try the French language this time. I'll do French, and I'll do Spanish, and we'll do some basic, very basic talk. So, let's say, for instance, I want to learn some basics of French, okay? I'm going to go ahead and click that headphone button. Hi, I was wondering if you can help me learn some basic fundamentals of the French language. Can we start with you telling me, for instance, the top five most common words in the French language. Be proper and please show me how to pronounce them accordingly. In Common French words. One, Bonjour. It means hello in English? Pronounced as Bonjour. Two, Mercy. This one means thank you. Pronounced as Merc Three. It means yes. Pronounced as we. None. This means no Pronounced as no. Five Silla. It translates to please, Pronounced as Sil P. And if you have any questions, just let me know. Okay, great. So, one that sticks out to me that I hear a lot is Bonjour. And that basically means it's a greeting, right? So it means hello. Can you give it to me in a sentence? Sure. A simple sentence using Bonjour could be Bonjour Comva. This translates to Hello? How are you? In English. Okay, so let me try it. Bonjour, Cava. How does that sound? Did I say it properly, or do I need to fix anything in my pronunciation, for instance. You're close. Your pronunciation is good overall. Try saying it like Ba Sava. Keep practicing, and you'll get it down perfectly. Oh, great. Can you go ahead and just repeat it for me? Of course. There it is. Bonjour, Cava. Bonjour Cava. Perfect. You nailed it, keep practicing, and you'll become more comfortable with French greetings in no time. If you have any more questions or want to learn more phrases, feel free to ask. Thank you. Merci. Hey, isn't that how you say thank you Mercy, right? Exactly. You've got it. All right. I'm getting there. Thank you. You're welcome. Okay, so that was a brief demo of how to use GPT voice for just learning basic words and even pronunciation using for this case, the French language. 7. ¡Hola! Dialogue Mock Sessions with ChatGPT: Let's try another one in Spanish. Alright, so we're going to go ahead and do this again in Spanish, okay? Hi. I would like to learn more about the Spanish language. Now, I do know a little bit of Spanish. So I'm going to go ahead and say a few words, expressions, and I want you to let me know if I'm using it in the right context, and also if I'm pronouncing it correctly. Is that okay with you? Absolutely. I'd be happy to help you with your Spanish. Go ahead and say the words or expressions. And I'll let you know if they're correct and help with pronunciation, if needed. What's the first word or expression you'd like to try. Hola, Comst It seems like you've written Ola mota, which appears to be in Greek rather than Spanish. Did you mean to say something in Spanish or would you like to learn a specific Spanish word or expression? Okay, let me try again. Costas Great job. You said, Costas, which means, hello. How are you? In English. Your pronunciation is good. Keep practicing, and you'll become even more fluent. Do you want to try another word or expression? Well, I want to know when someone asks a Costas, what do they usually respond back in? I'm sure they'll say something to the likes of I'm well. I'm good. I'm having a great day, something like that, right? So, can you give me a common response to hello Comsts? Yes. Typically, someone might respond to Hola, Cistas With one of the following common responses. One Esten. This means I'm good or I'm well. Two, Mi Gracias. This means very well. Thank you. Three. Estoy Excelente. This means I'm excellent. Masoenos this means so so or more or less. Any of these responses would be appropriate, depending on how someone is feeling. Which one would you like to practice? Okay. Very nice. I know Mobi What was the other one that you said Excelento or something like that. Can you repeat it, please? Certainly. The phrase is Estoy Excelente, which means I'm excellent or I'm great. Okay. Estoy Excelente. Did I say that properly? Almost there. It's pronounced as to cent. Give it another try. Estoy Excelente. Is that better or no. You're getting closer. Just remember to pronounce the C and Excelente, more like an S sound, like cele. Try saying it again. Estoy Excelente. Perfect. You nailed it. Estoy Excelente sounds great. Keep practicing, and your Spanish skills will continue to improve. If you have any more questions or want to learn more, just let me know. Can we try a mock session? I want you to ask me or just tell me hot Let's try that, and then I'll respond. Sure thing. Here we go. Hola, Cota. Estoy Excelente. Yeah. That was a perfect response. Keep up the good work. If you want to practice more or have any other questions, feel free to let me know. Yes. If you need anything else, just ask. All right. So, as you can see, that was a demo of how to learn Spanish or at least try to get used to some of the fundamentals of Spanish using C GPT voice. So Chat GPT voice is a very powerful tool. And I encourage you all to actually dive right in and use it, talk to it, communicate with it. And you'll only come to see how powerful the tool it really is. So we have the Cat GPT write tool, and we also have the Chat GPT voice tool. They're both very useful, very profound. And I think that each of them have their benefits. So if you want to, for instance, see something more visual and you want to type things out, you want to read and write, then I encourage you to use Cat GT messaging in those scenarios. But if you want to learn more so pronunciation and translation, and have a conversation or a dialogue, sort of like a real life simulation, then I definitely recommend that use chat GBT voice. Nevertheless, both of them have their applicabilities and use, and I think using both of them in your learning experience maximizes your potential in learning your intended language, again, whether it is Spanish or Portuguese or Mandarin or French or whatever language that you choose or wish to learn. 8. ChatGPT: Your Second Language Sidekick: So what about in cases where you are already proficient in a language, but you want to enhance your skills, sort of for advanced learning capabilities. So, for instance, I haven't really mentioned this yet, but I'm bilingual myself. So besides being native in the English language, I speak Arabic fluently, and that's because I was raised in a household where that language was prominent. Specifically, with the Egyptian dialect. So I happen to be in terms of my ethnicity, Egyptian, and I'm also part Turkish and also Sham, which is sort of like around the Middle East, the Middle East region, and what have you. But ultimately, what I wanted to present is that you can use Chat GPT message and voice for more intermediate and advanced level language learning. And one way to do that is by using Chat GPT messaging, where you can learn more about the alphabets, how they're used, short words, building sentences, and so on. And then you can use the chat GPT voice for pronunciation, for having a casual or even a formal conversation, and you can do so in different dialects. So you can learn in different dialects, if you wish. 9. Elevate Your Language Skills with AI Conversations: So I'm going to go ahead and demonstrate how to do so with different dialects. So for instance, you wanted to have a conversation with Chat GBT with your second language. Okay? Say, for instance, you're kind of like me, where you have a native language in my case, English, but you have a second language that you speak that you're fluent in Arabic in my case. So I'm going to go ahead and enable Chat GBT voice, and I'm going to speak to it in Arabic and sort of showcase and demo. How you can speak to it in Arabic for conversational purposes, for practice to have someone to talk to and sort of tutor you, mentor you as to rights and wrongs, dos and don'ts when it comes to linguistics and language and pronunciation. So let's start. Alan was Allen Marcia Italia. In GBT Drama. In Slone. And a bit the art of Hello MF tea Lamkin Hunt Ada and Aca Bernma Okay. So that was a demo of how to communicate with a language that you may be proficient in and sort of just want more practice with. So it could be in my case, Arabic but with the Egyptian dialect. And I also threw in the Syrian dialect in there near the end, just to kind of showcase that you can actually play around with different dialects and get some practice in the different areas or the different flavors of language in this case, Arabic. So I think it's a very powerful tool and definitely take advantage of enling CPT voice by just downloading the mobile app and you know, integrating it in your language learning journey. It's very fascinating. And, you know, the cool thing is, it's at the convenience of just having it in your pocket, basically, take it out any time and converse, have a dialogue, practice. As we know, practice makes perfect. And that principle applies here more than anywhere. 10. Translate Easy: ChatGPT's Translation Wizardry: So another cool way that Chat GBT can be used is that you can have it translate certain sentences or phrases or even paragraphs for you. For instance, in my case, I have to often communicate with my family around the world globally. I have a pretty large family. The Higazi family expands to Egypt. I have family in the Middle East. I have family in Australia, I have family in Canada and Europe, and in many other places around the world, Kuwait, for instance, and other locations. Even Dubai, So we have this what's app group where we basically have, you know, group members of different film members around the world. And then we communicate. Most of my family members communicate in Arabic in that chat group, and I don't always understand everything they're saying. It takes me time and effort to read through the lines to read their sentences and paragraphs. And I found that using Chat GPT that is artificial intelligence AI to be very practical and useful, So, say, for instance, I have my cousin here, Ahmed. He sent a message in reply to some photos that I had posted in our group here. I'm going to go ahead and copy and paste it into Chat GBT, so I can have it translate exactly what is being said here. So I'm going to go over to Chat GBT I'm going to ask CGT, Can you translate this paragraph to me in English. Okay. And I'm just going to paste it. And then, basically, it says, Mesha Allah, which is an Arabic word. But it just gave me a translation at least a transliteration, and it says, Mustafa, my first am is actually spelled it in. And it says, that's very beautiful and strong. The most beautiful thing is that when one dies, they leave behind righteous descendants. And the most beautiful thing you can offer your father is to preserve your righteousness and say, for God's sake. And it says Spana, my dear, noble, strong cousin, My God record all of you in the balance of his good deeds. Thank God that our Lord enabled you to celebrate the holiday in these difficult times. Our joy lies in the blessed days of God. But Masha Allah, your Arabic language skills are as if you were raised in the desert in the Arabian Peninsula. That's hilarious. Now, little does he know that the only reason why my Arabic is so good is because I use Chat JBT. And I'm actually going to mention that. So I'm going to go ahead and respond back and say, Uh. Okay, so I'm first half that Nal CBT and prompt it properly. So I'm going to say, translate this to Egyptian Arabic. Thank you, dear cousin, for the beautiful words and wisdom. I have always learned much from you. And then I will say something to the likes of, Yes, my Arabic is on point. And do you want to know what my secret is? Huh huh? That sounds weird. Yeah, do you want to know what my secret is? I use Chat GBT, AI to help translate your paragraph, and also to respond back to you. Smile face. And then I'm going to go ahead and send that in. And CPT will write it out for me. Now, if you use CPT voice, it actually will also voice it to you. But basically here, again, it takes me time to read, but it says, ShokZz and so on. And it's going to take me time to read it. But, you know, I can definitely see parts of where it says, CPT. And it literally says, artificial intelligence and Arabic and then goes all the way to the end of the sentence. So what I can do is I can just simply copy this, and then I can paste it and send it to my cousin, and save time and also not have to worry about the accuracy of what I said, because ultimately GBT in itself is, you know, uses natural language. So I trust CBT and I know what it will say is valid. So this is a really cool way to communicate with friends and family members and, you know, just have a simplistic approach to learning and building your skills in a language that you want to learn more about and you want to use more often, you want to become more proficient in. 11. ChatGPT Tutor: Your Very Own Language Mentor: So now I'm going to demonstrate to you how you can use C GPT as a language tutor, and this could be for all levels, beginner, intermediate or advanced. We'll use the Spanish language and we'll try as follows. You need to first prompt CGPT and put it in a certain mode. So what you're going to do is you're going to ask Chat GPT the following. Can you please play the role of a Spanish tutor for me? Okay. All right. So it says Claro Kiss, I'd be happy to help you with Spanish and then it asks you something. I actually don't even know what that means. So let's start with that. What does this mean? Okay. I'm going to go ahead and paste it. Okay. It says, It means, how can I help you today in English? It's a common phrase used when offering assistance or support someone. Okay. So then I'm going to start with the basics. I wanted to tell me. So we looked at some basic phrases like top common words in Spanish, but what if I want to take you know, take it up a notch and just kind of build? So let's start beginning at level. We'll say something like can you please provide the letters of the Spanish language. Okay. So it says, The Spanish alphabet consists of 27 letters. And as you can see, you know, mainly identical to English, except the following. So remember, the letter N is unique to Spanish and it's pronounced like basically in in English. So that's important. Additionally, Spanish also uses the letters KW although they are not as common and typically found in loan words or four names. Okay. So if I wanted to express that the following. How would I say it? I am an instructor and I enjoy teaching students about the applications of GBT. Okay. To say I am an instructor, and I enjoy teaching students about the applications of Cada between Spanish, you would say. So instructor E disfruto Sola applican panos, I think or placino the Cat GBT. All right. So as you can see, I struggled to say this, and this is where the pronunciation helps a lot. Basically, Chat GBT voice. So in this case, if I wanted to learn how to pronounce this, I would go to CGT voice. But for now at least, I want to learn some more basics. So that's how I would say that term. So if I wanted to take this, for instance, copy and paste it somewhere I could. But let me try to have a conversation. Okay. So now I want you to have a mock session with me in Spanish. Okay, let's have a mock session in Spanish. I am beginner level. So I don't understand all that you said above. Please translate. No, I meant, please trans late in English. Mm hmm. So the first one says, Como Tiamas which means what is your name in English? It's a friendly way to start conversation. Okay. So then I'm going to ask it how would I respond and say what my name is? Mamo So it's giving me the syntax. To respond and say your name, you would use the phrase Mamo followed by your name. For example, Mamo, so on. Okay. Let me try. Mamo Gazi. Mi Bien Pfgazi that was great. Now. Hey, A gomaski, I don't know what that means. I think that means, what do you want to practice next. Translate the last part of the sentence to English. Is there anything else you would like to practice or learn today? Okay. I figured that's what it was asking me. Yes. If I wanted to tell someone, or rather, if I wanted to ask someone for a favor, what is the structure in doing so? Okay. Okay. When asking someone for a favor in Spanish, you can use polite phrases to make the request. Here's a common structure. Start with a polite phrase, such as, Could you? Can you, okay? State the action or favor you're requesting. Add Portfavor at the end, to make the request more polite. And Porfavor means, please, basically, that I know. Okay, could you help me, please, or could you lend me your pen, please? Okay. So these are some examples. All right. So let's say, for instance, I tried this one. Okay. Okay. Translate.
