Hello There, this is Dr. Arbia Sultana. An Artist based in Bengaluru, India. I have always loved making art since a little kid, but with time I was busy building my professional career. This pandemic i.e. in 2020 I went back chasing my passion for art. Believe me or not every single day in pandemic I used to paint with watercolours at least for 30 minutes this was like a meditation for me every night before bed. Since then I have improved so much. One of my colleague told watercolour is so hard to work with. Its actually tricky but not hard. Just to teach such people who wants to learn this medium but find it difficult I am here with new classes with loads of tips and tricks. Do check them out and follow me for more.

1. Introduction : Painting is just another way of taping a diary. With that said, hello artist, this is Albia Sultana, a self taught artist based in India. I'm here to take you all and dive into a beautifully curated aesthetic party painting session where we are going to learn disco ball painting, fall balloons, champagne floral bouquet, and bubbles using Go, if you don't have gosh, you can go with acrylic or poster colors. Gosh is a water based medium which works as an acrylic and watercolors. It is also called as a magical medium and the most forgiving one. It is a medium which everyone must try. It is a beginner, friendly class, and anyone who's interested to join in can join in. By the end of this painting session, you will not only have a blast creating the party themed artworks, but you'll also gain a deeper understanding of gach techniques and the materials required. So what are you waiting for? Unleash your brush. Let the colors ignite a party on canvas. A vibrant sigh. Gosh in hand creativity. So join the celebration. Let's paint and explore. See you all in the class. 2. Materials Required: Welcome to this session and thanks for joining in. And here are the five paintings that we are going to paint. Let us look at the art supplies that is needed for painting this five beautiful paintings. Firstly, I'll be using Canson, 300 GSM watercolor paper. You can use Gah paper or any paper which is more than 160 GSM. And along with that, let's look at the brushes here. I have multiple brushes of same size as well. So you can have a single of those. I'll be using a flattened brush, round brush, a smaller size round brush, a small flattened brush, and also liner brush, and most importantly, fill board brush. If you don't have fill board brush, it's completely all right, you can use the round brush in a rounded fashion. Okay? As you can see, fill board brush has a curve shape at the end that makes it more special. A line of brush which is important for the details, you can have one set of it. I have multiple set. It's up to you if you want multiple brushes Along with that, I'll be using artists, Gauche paints. You can use any brand artists grade Ge paints here. I'll be telling you which is important, I'll be telling you the basic colors, not the specific colors of the palette. Apart from this, I'll be using a jar of water, tissue mixing, palette masking tape, and also a gold to fix the paper, which I'll be showing you how to fix it. This thing is important because it is very easy and convenient to rotate the gold and paint it. This was it for this video. I'll see you in the next one. 3. About Gouache : As you can see, this jelly like looking stuff is called Gash and the say yummy to see, but it is more fun and crazy to paint with it. So what is Gosh? Gosh is a medium that is in between watercolor and acrylic paint with an opaque and matt finish. For this reason, Gosh is also called as an opaque watercolor. It's made from pigments mixed with a binder and often includes white pigment to make it more solid. Gosh has been used since ancient times with examples found in Egyptian art and medieval manuscripts. It became especially popular in the 19th and 20th century among artists for its bright colors and easy application. Gach is also popular because it gives a mat finish that many artists find appealing. Is opacity allows for solid coverage and easy correction of mistakes, while its water solubility makes it easy to mix and rework. Additionally, Gauche is versatile and works well on various surfaces, making it a favorite for both detailed illustration and expressive artworks. Let's get to know some pros and cons of gauche. The prose first. It gives you an opaque coverage that is Gauche provides solid opaque coverage allowing you to paint over other colors easily. It's vibrant nature. The pigments in the gauche are often very vibrant and rich. It dries to a mat finish, which can be desirable for certain artistic effects. It's easy to rework. Unlike acrylics, Gauche can be reactivated with water, making it easier to correct mistakes. Gauche dries relatively quickly, which is beneficial for artists who like to work at a fast pace. Blending capabilities. It allows for smooth blending and gradient effects. Gah can be used on various surfaces, including paper and canvas. It's easy to use for beginners and achieve good results. Generally, guh is more affordable than oils or acrylics. Gauche is a portable and easy to set up and clean, making it ideal for plain air or travel paintings. Coming to the cons of Gauche, water sensitivity. Once dry, bah is sensitive to water and can be reactivated, which might be problematic, exposed to moisture, Layering issue. If you put too many layers, it can result in cracking or uneven texture or even reactivating the underneath colors. Guash colors may shift slightly after drying. It lacks the glossy finish, such as oil and some acrylics give. It may not be as durable or light fast as other mediums like oil or acrylic paints. While generally a pro, the quick drying can be a con if you need more time for blending or adjustments. Excessive layering can cause a build up that may lead to texture problems as I have explained before. Limited transparency while its opacity is benefit. It also means you cannot achieve transparent effects as you can with watercolors. If you leave Gach out and it dries, it needs to be retted to be usable again. Drying variability. The drying time can vary depending on the thickness of application and also the paper and environmental condition. Mainly, gauche is available in two types, that is a regular gauche or traditional gauche and acrylic gauche. Acrylic gauche has its own properties here, I'm using regular gauche in the form of tubs. These tubs need to be repated. Every time before use. And also, I use this distal water to keep them hydrated because it dries really fast, and it gives you a cracking powdery stuff, but it can be reactivated again, as you can see. Yeah. Before I use, I just mix them properly with enough water and keep them hydrated. And here is a swatch of all the paints from the tubs, which I have done. It's very important whenever you buy A new medium. It's important to see its texture with fingers and also apply it on the paper and see how the paper reacts and what colors dry lighter and what color dry, darker. And these are some of the gouache paintings from the sketchbook. The best paper for painting with Gauche is a cold pressed one above 160 GSM because of its texture, and as heavy, the paper will be that good the finishing will be. And the brushes I'll be using synthetic brushes. If you want to protect the ge painting, you can use i at the end. Let's get to know about the consistency, of course. This is very important because Gauche consistency is difficult to achieve. And if you use the tube form, then it's well and good because the Gauche doesn't dry in the tube. But in the tub, it obviously dries very quickly. Here I have this good mix of Gauche with water, and I'll be using this as the first one directly applying it on paper, and let's see what it gives. One more in about this gauche painting, especially if you're using the stub as, it creates molds. Molds. You can discard the gauche, like you can just take out the moldy gauche and throw it away and clean the palette and use it. Or you can just disinfect your palette or whichever the tub is and use the paint again. And here I have taken the paint from the tub and put it on the palette. Here I'm using a paper palette. And using the flattened rush, I'll be applying the paint onto the paper. This will be highly concentrated one. I'll be applying this evenly. For the second one, I'll be adding two drops of water onto that paint and mixing it until the brush holds bit of paint onto it. And when I apply, you can see how it's different from the first one. You can experience this with your practice because until and unless you don't practice, you won't get to know. Oh. Two more drops of water, mixing it thoroughly. So every bristol gets enough paint, and this will be the fourth drop mixture. And these two, the second and the third one will give you an appropriate gauche finish or gauche consistency. And whenever you want to pain, mix the paint completely and keep it ready because this mixture dries out and sometimes it will give you a different kind of Finish. I hope you're getting it because the first consistency and second consistency obviously it's different. And if you mix the first one and keep and it gets dried out, it looks even more messier, right? If the second one is two watery and the first one is lot watery at all, there'll be some differences. So whenever you're mixing it, mix one particular consistency and keep it ready for the whole paint before you start. Adding some more water, that is two more extra drops of water, that is six drops of water completely. And this will give you a transparent look, that is a watercolor finished look, but it is again opaque. So it won't be that transparent like watercolors, but it'll be a bit transparent. You can see how much of water is flowing Whenever you practice, it's important that you make notes because this will be helpful for further classes or courses or even when you paint new, something new. Oh Let's also practice the tint of the color. That is, tint usually is reduced by mixing white into the co, and it usually appears softer and les intense than the original. It is basically adding white to the, By this practice, you'll get to know how the color can go and how past the co can go. Here, I'm using 100% blue and. As I go further, I'll be adding a bit white into the mixture of color. And by that, I'll be making various shades. You can go on until you achieve white color completely with 0% blue. This is 90% blue and 10% white. Using the same flatten brush I'm here using. You can do this exercise before you start because this will give you a lot of knowledge and you'll get to know about the colors. You can do the same exercise with black color also, and that will give you about the shadow area or black area like that. And one more thing is you can also add gray. That is to desaturate the color. That will give you a shadow part or something which you want to keep light and not too much of color to be shown. You can do this with those three colors, white, black and gray. With white, it is called tint, with black, it is called shade, with gray, it is called tone. So this one was 80% blue and 20% white, and now we'll be adding 70% blue and 30% white. This one is 60% blue and 40% white. By this method, you'll get to know which pastal color you have to use if you're using a pastal form of color in the painting. I love pastal colors, but I also want to experience these because every color has different total value, as you can see, right. I mean t value. This is 50 blue and 50 white. And for the last one, I'll be mixing for 3% of blue with 60% of white. I'll be stopping here, but you can continue until you get the complete white, 100% white and ten p 0% blue. Before we end this class, let me just give you quick tips for beginners working with gauche. Firstly, when you mix Gauche, mix it thoroughly, and it dries quickly, so use a palette and make sure that palette, you'll be covering it completely or use a wet palette. And keep the mixture of painting ready. That is the gauche in the right consistency ready before use. And also apply in layers, Gauche can be opaque, but it can also be reactivated with water. Apply layers carefully, allowing each layer to dry before adding another one. Don't add too much of water that can dilute gauche and reduce its opacity. Choose the right paper. So you'll get a good finishing. Clean the brush properly so that you don't have a mix of colors, store the paint properly, and also use a mist spray to keep them hydrated and experiment with different techniques to learn more about it. Some gauche paints may fade over time, check the light fastness of your paints if you're planning to create artworks that need to last forever, and also force the colors first on paper and then select the one which you feel that is appropriate to use. And these are my tips. I hope you mroide it, and let me see you in the technique session. 4. Gouache Techniques: By now you know how Gauche reacts and what are its properties. So let's check on some basic techniques which we use in the gauche painting. Just like watercolors, Gash also has wet on wet and wet on dry technique. It's just same. Wet on dry is used for solid backgrounds and wet on wet is used for cloudy skies for the one which you want a blunt background with a blurry effect, with more ture on it. So here I'm taking a flattened brush and demonstrating the dry and wet on wet. As you can see, the brush is dry, So Here when I'm applying, it's giving me some texture. So this is when the brush is also dry and the paper is also. But when I dip the brush in water and then use it, it'll give me a solid background, which is evenly sing onto the paper. This technique is very useful if you wd a crisp edge or if you wd pain something. Solid into a shape. I mean solid color into a shape. Now, coming to wet, I'm here taking a brush and applying water, and I'll be making a s again and using the flatten brush again, I'll go and apply the same traen blue. Whenever you use wet or wet technique, it's always important to check the water consistency on paper and also how the paper holds the water, because it depends on that, how your final painting will look. So be very careful. L, too much of water is good. Actually, too less water is good also. It has to be evenly spreaded. It leads to be having a shiny layer on the paper. And then if you add, it looks somewhat like this. But if you take too much of, Colo n applied, I will give you a bit less transparency. There is too much transparency. Whenever I have this practice going on, I usually like to bake notes. If you are willing to write, then you can go ahead and write it down with your own experience and also with my tips. Oh. Now, let's move on to other two techniques, that is layering and dry brush technique. As you can see for layering, I'll be adding a solid ultra Purle blue onto the paper. That is again metonr technique. The one which we used above, first, we method, then, we use the wet dry paper. That's why it doesn't has a crust pile. But now you can see the actual wet dry technique. O Using the flattened brush, I'll be adding ultramarine blue. Look how evenly it's spreading and it has like even color. If you don't have even color, that's because you haven't lifted the brush with complete color coated around the bristles of the brush. So look at this. It has crisp pile, and it doesn't blend with the paper. Now here for the dry brush technique, I'll use a complete dry brush. Here I'll be using round brush. We'll be doing the dry brush and layering technique simultaneously. Here I have taken the solid blue color that is from the tub and apply it completely on the bristols using the palette. As you can see, I'm running my brush from left to right and top to bottom also bottom to top. You can see the texture right. This is a very useful technique for applying textures all to the painting. And Now I'll be taking the liner brush. And with white color, I'll be applying it all to the paint directly. And since the under painting is not dried completely, it'll blend and also it'll smudge and react with the underlying color. Okay. It's always necessary to catch hold on the pressure of the brush while doing layering because that will reactivate the under color very easily. Oh Using the lighter brush, I'll be adding white color onto the area of the painting. And you can see how cs it is and how bright it is, color. O Here I'm showing the consequences of painting over and over again at one particular area that will reactivate the paint even after the underlying color is dried. As you can see when I wait the star from the bottom part, it is looking a bit suged, but compared to the previous top part. Still it's sued right. It gets reactivated very easily. You have to be very careful while doing layering. These are by loads for gauche techniques, the four techniques which we learn, which are commonly used Gach. You can also try and test it out with other techniques similar to watercolors. Now, coming to the blending, blending is very by sport G. So blending here will f different techniques of blending. Here, I'll be using ultra meine blue, hot pink and white for the colors. Using flatten brush, I'll apply hot pink and then I'll wash the brush thoroughly and go with ultramarine blue and apply to the bottom part of the area. Whenever you use cold pressed paper, it always has the sur textury effect whenever you paint. So for the first blending technique, I'm using the paper itself for blending. Your I'll be applying the hot pink and ultra meal blue all again blend it. Till I get the evil layer in between. Can you see the purple mixture in between? That is how the blending T will look like in paper on the paper if you blend it directly. Coming to the next again, using a flattened brush, I'm using hot pink color at the top and ultle at the bottom. O I love using water. I'll be washing the brush thoroughly and taking some water in the brush. It should either drip. The water drops should not fall, or it should either be too dry. It should be evenly wet. If you apply it all the palm of your hand, it should feel wet. Like that wetness should be all to the brush. And then you can just glide over and keep going back and forth to see the difference. The blending will be okays because it will give you a transparent betw transparent feel. Now, coming to the third one, which will do it with wide. That's the ed because of its. Second, because of its, I'll give you a subtle, beau look. So once you applied the hot pink and blue color onto the paper and now adding the white color in between. It's always necessary to go ahead with hot pink and blue color and keep blending all the three mixtures, but make sure that you don't overdo it. And look at the even look after it's finished. And here I'm demonstrating, you can see me, and then you can go ahead and do it by yourself. This is how it looks without blending. And once blending is done, it'll look like even layer, and that looks even more beautiful. Look at those three blending exercise which we did, which one is looking beautiful, you say. It depends on what type of painting you're doing and what area of painting you're doing, which you'll require this blending techniques. Here I'll also teach you the fourth one. That is again, applying hot pink and ultra en blue. And this blending is based on your palette, which is a pre mixed colors which you'll use for blending. I'll demonstrate and show you evenly applying ultramarine and hot pink. F in between, I'll take the hot pink and ultramarine blue onto the palette. Taking equal amounts of ultrabne blue and hot pink and mixing on palette, and make sure there is enough water consistency on it. And then applying this premixed color to in between the two hot pink and ultrablene blue, and then fixing all three together for evil look. These are four blending techniques which we will be using. Also these techniques depend on where you're actually painting and which part of blending is required at that particular area. So it's important to know the. I hope you learned something new here and will be carrying forward these steps techniques and also the exercises you learned in the painting session. I'll see 5. Preparing Paper: Let's begin by preparing the paper or taping down the paper. Whenever you apply the tape, it's necessary that you apply it in a particular manner. And whenever I tape down the paper. I prefer the tape is parallel to each other, and it gives you a clean model, especially, and also it prevents from buckling while you're painting. Buckling basically means the paper coming out like in a bulged manner, and also it is much more comfortable while you're painting. You can turn it around and lift it. You can do all sort of stuff. Uh, like adding details. I usually tape down the paper onto the board. You can use a notebook or exam ad or any hard surface where you can lift that board and turn it around and it's not fixed onto the table. Because sometimes, I usually love to take in front of me while adding the details. That is not possible when you fix it onto the table, right? So this is what I do. And whenever you're applying the masking tape, I usually put it onto the cloth, whatever cloth I'm wearing. I apply it on that first, and then I just remove and then go ahead and apply it on to the paper. This minimizes gum, and it's easy to remove. Once you apply the masking tape, make sure you run your fingers on top of it because sometimes egg gets trapped inside and which leads to leaf of paint. While removing, just keep one thing in mind that the paint has to be dried before removing the masking tape because it will rip off the painting along with the paper. Remote in a slant manner. Also, if the gum is too sticky, you can use a he drier to melt the glue and the tape will easily come out. And this is going to be our first step in every painting, so make sure you follow it along. Let's quickly finish off this first step and start with our first painting. I'll see you all there. 6. Bubble Painting: Welcome to the first painting of our party themed esthetic painting class. Today, we are going to paint bubbles that are soap bubbles. The colors required is black, titanium white, sky blue, hot pink, and yellow lemonar. You can use any other color as well for the reflection or you can exactly dept water. The reflection is there around. So basically, I'm just putting up a drama in this painting and creating some dramatic party themed painting. So a follow along with me. You're I'm using a flattened brush and applying black color paint. As you can see, I'm just going from left to right, and I'll evenly go and paint the whole page from top to bottom and left to right. Uh, if you think the paint is, um like atry or it's not in a gauche consistency, you can go over it. And use a thick of consistency of black paint and go ahead and paint. If you think that Gauche is will ruin off after applying the second or third layer as you know, layering technique, when the gauche does not completely dried, it lift off. So if you want to avoid that, you can go ahead and paint with black acrylics. That's the best way to put up a background of black paint. So here I'm using Gauche itself. So as you can see, I have this supplied. Now I'll just even it out, and I'll just make sure that the corners are evenly painted, and there's no gap left. I'll let this to dry and once it is dry, I'll go ahead and make some circles. Here I'll make some variety of circles, like starting from a bigger circle to a smaller circle to the tiniest one. As you can see, they don't have the same size, and some of the circles are overlapping each other. Now using a detailed brush, that is a minor brush, or you can use a small rounded brush as well. And using white paint, I'll go ahead and go over the circle with a broken line. As you can see, I'm not painting the whole circle like in a continuous manner. I'm just leaving some black floor in there. And you can use dry brush effect for this. But then anything is okay like broken line or dry brush effect. Okay? So this is just going to be our border. So we'll fill out inside with other colors. Go slowly and enjoy the painting and also take your time. One more thing while adding the bots, you can go ahead and paint very thick kind of area of circle and somewhere a thin area. So you can just do that with the same brush. Have you ever enjoyed the soap bubbles while playing in a party or something? Don't you feel like so energetic and so much happy while it is slowing around you and suddenly pops out? Doesn't it look so good? We are just go to capture that energy here, have patience and continue painting. As you can see, I have left a good amount of space in between as well around the circles and somewhere I have painted closer circles as well. So you can just go ahead and do that. Or you can add as many as possible. It's up to you, but make sure that you don't lose out your energy while doing this. Oh. Now that we are done with the borders, let's go ahead and use a sil boat brush. And I'm just lifting some pink color. Make sure you lift the paint in a creamy consistency or wash consistency. If you think the paint is too, make sure to use a mixing palette and a water, and then use it. As you can see, I'll be adding some t of white also in between. Um The filbert brush is too good. You can see it will give you a curvy mano shape. And also, it is not spreading a lot. In the sense, it's not going beyond its width. So here I'm using a smaller size full board bruh. If you don't have full board bruh, use the same detailing brush and measure the amount like how thick you want that hot ping to be and go ahead and paint inside. Here you can see with the tip of the full board brush, I'm going ahead and adding here and there was as well, and especially the edges. I'm making it curvy. If you think that the hot pink color is transparent, then wait for it to dry, and then you can go ahead and mix some hot pink with white again and go over it. The same applies to the blue and yellow color. So we are going to paint blue color in between the hot pink and also the areas where there's no pink inside itself, you can see. I'm just going ahead and adding at the edges as well. And also the areas where the hot pink is not covered. This is how you do it. You can use a flattened bruh, also a small flattened brush for this part. But for the edges, you can go ahead and use around the brush. You can see it as hot pink, blue, hot pink blue. Now to add more drama, we'll go ahead and add lemonllo. You can add the exact reflection of so bubbles by referring the images on Pints or Google. If you're interested, H You can go ahead and use a dry brush stroke, too. But then if you think it is not looking good, then you can go ahead and add a opaque consistency onto it, and you can see that wherever the hot pink and blue is there in between that I'm adding yellow color and also at the edges or near the white and colors. You can see right. Using the same filer brush, I'm going and adding it. So be patient and enjoy yourself while doing this. Isn't it looking great, but there's something which is missing, right? That is highlights. So we'll take some white plow and then add over it. You can go ahead and add between the circle that is in the middle of it. You can use a flattened brush and use it or you can use the same fibo brush and go ahead. And also, you can add highlights onto the plows. Don't you feel now it's getting its energy? Just highlight the edges as well. And also using the detailed bruh. That is a line of brush. I'll go ahead and add some white splatters over it and remove the splatters inside the bubble as many as possible. If you think that it's impossible to remove inside the bubble, then you can go ahead and cover the bubble with paper and then go over the splatters. The way I'm removing those platters is using a dry brush. I'm going ahead and lifting the c. Somewhere it's getting blended with the black and it's adding black. So be careful with that. You can go ahead and add more platters, or you can just end this painting here. Isn't it looking so beautiful and gorgeous? It was time taking, but definitely the beautiful painting. This was it for to's painting. I'll see you in the next one. Be careful while removing the masking tape because it'll tear off, Let the paint dry completely and remove it in a slant manner. Don't hurry. So this was the final look of our painting. I hope you enjoyed it, and do share it with me in the project section and do share the reviews. So I can make some funky classes like this for you guys. If you think you need more details, you can go ahead and add it. Be careful and enjoy it. And that was it for this class. I'll see you in the next painting. 7. Foil Balloon Painting : Hello, and welcome to second painting of this painting session. Party theme esthetic painting class. So today we are going to paint foil balloons painting. As you know, without foil balloons, the party looks less vibrant. So to make it more colorful, today we are going to paint this foil balloon painting, for which the colors required is any shade of red. You can go ahead and use pink color, also golden color for golden. You can use mid yellow, even yellow occur. The colors we will be using is red color first, and then white color, black color. And mid yellow. Also for the background, you can use any pastel shade for which I'm using green pastel shade color. If you don't have pastel shade of green, then you can go ahead and use sap green with white that mixture to create that background. So let's start off. Firstly, we'll draw this art shaped balloon. I have already drawn this. After drawing a bunch of balloons. Let's go ahead and paint them. I'll be using filbert brush for this. And I'll be applying the base color that is red color. I'll be applying to all the hearts. Filbert brush is so easy and comfortable for painting the curves, especially the heart shaped top part curves. You can go ahead and use a round shaped brush if you don't have that. Be very patient and careful and apply everywhere on to the every heart. Whenever the heart is overlapping on top of each other, make sure that you leave some hint of space so that you'll get to know where to add shadows. So you know, whenever we apply, the pencil marks just vanishes away. If it is press paper, there'll be some marks, but it's not very convenient to see. So just leave some space a little bit so that you'll get to know where to add the shadows. So do this process slowly. Whenever you feel like g is getting dri, so just dip the brush and again, make the paint in the mixing palette and then go ahead and. Don't make it or e to th. Okay it be in consistency. Oh Oh. Oh So we are almost done with the heart shape. Let's go ahead and apply some white and make it shinier. As you can see, I'll be adding white at the middle portion of the heart. If you think the sunlight is coming from left side or right side from the top or bottom, you can go ahead and add the highlights according to the preferred sunlight you. So I'm just keeping it in the middle so that the highlights are at the middle, and even the shadows are like very little. And whenever you're adding the highlights and shadows, make sure that you blend them with the base limo. And you can see that I'm not adding everywhere the highlights. I'm leaving some red space as well and some curves, and also it is not in a particular shape. I'm giving some shape. The filbert brush is very convenient to give with one stroke itself. For adding the shadows, I'm mixing some black color with the red. And with the same brush, I'll be using the tip and going ahead and applying on to the borders of the heart, which is overlapping. Initially, don't mix a lot of black with red. For the first layer of shadow, just mix a little tingch of black with a lot of red, and then go ahead and add the shadows. If you think that filberruh, you aren't convenient with, then you can go ahead and shift with a liner brush and go ahead and add the corners of the heart wherever it's overlapping. Just make sure the top heart is front and the bottom one is getting the shadow. Don't paint on the top heart. Also, if you're confident enough to add the shadows, then you can go ahead and add it in between add those wrinkles and all of that. You can have your own reference from the pest of Google. And painted. So slowly once you're blending the colors with the base layer. You can go ahead and use a darker shade of it and apply it and also use the same shade like the first initial shade which you use, a tinch of black with a lot of red. That color you can use for the corner of the balloons to give those curvy shapes. If you have seen those foil balloons, it'll have some notches at the end right. You can do that. I'll be doing slowly. You can also follow me along. Oh. Look at this step carefully and painted just like that. To all the balloons, especially the corners. Also when you're doing this, make sure that you add those wrinkles of those foil balloons too. O Oh. Now, using even more darker shade of that black and red mixture. I'm going ahead and adding many shadows. I won't be filling whole of the heart or the corners with complete black and red mixture. I'll be leaving some to show up. So as you can see, there's too sharp edges. So make sure that you blend them once you have applied the details. Oh Oh. O So if you're thinking what is the meaning of blending, it's basically, I'll be using a clean brush and just having a little wetness onto it, and then going over it over the two colors. If one side is black and one side is red, then I'll go in between those and try to go like forward and backward and blend them until they are like together sinking. And while doing this, don't add too much of water onto the brush or onto the paper because it'll have that cauliflower appearance. So be careful with that while blending. The should be very. Look how I'm doing it in a round motion and also wherever the colors are. I'm just blending them. H. H. Now, it's time to add more shiny surface onto the balloons. Using the same line of brush, I'm going ahead and adding white. O. If you think the brushtrokes are like really sharp, then you can go ahead and blend them. If you think it's okay, then leave it just like that and add the highlights from wherever the sunlight has fallen. So according to your perspective, you can do that. For me, the perspective is from the front, so I'm adding like that. Look how gorgeous they are looking. So to make it more highlighted and popped, we'll add the background. For this, I'll be using a flattened brush and a past shade of green. As I've already told you that if you don't have a pastel shade of green, you can go ahead and mix a green with and make the shade or any other lighter shade you can use for the background, such as skin color or baby pink c. Okay. Whenever you are applying this background, make sure that you won't add it onto the middle part that is onto the balloon. If in case you have done so, I'll show you how to remove because I have also done that mistake. Using a broad flattened brush, it is very convenient to add the background. As you can see, I have added roughly on to the corners, and you can see that I have already added that green onto the balloon. And here I'm using a filbert brush, which is dry. And since the paint is already wet, I'm just lifting it off. And some of the red might come out. Don't worry. You can just wet it like not too. It has to feel like it's wet, but there's no water only on the brush. Like that. And then just lift it off. The color. And you can add the details again with the liner. And slowly at the corners and also in the middle part where you can see some white with green using a small decaling brush. Oh. Oh. Now you can see that the inside like center part of the green and the corners are not looking of same color. Don't worry. Blend them properly. Again, go on top of it with another layer of green. It'll be very easy and they look evenly and look more pbbed and beautiful. Also, the scurvy shape of the heart balloon, you can go ahead and add it again because it'll get ruined eventually. Slowly and smoothly, go ahead and do. Oh. If you think you need some shinier surface, you can go ahead and add the highlights. Oh Now using mid yellow color. I'll be using a dino brush again and adding those ribbons. You can tie them to one single bow or you can just like rotate and just leave it off, just like this. You can do this for every balloon, but make sure the behind balloons are just those ribbons are falling from down and they are not coming from top. Okay. And you can see like I'm going I'm giving a curve right side also left side also. It's just like randomly you can get okay. If you're doing it in a bunch, just make sure that they are coming slantly into the middle at the end, and you are going to add a ribbon or fred or any other color. And that is extra part of. But look very beautiful at the end. So as I told earlier that the green are of two different shades. So here, I'm taking a bit of extra green and just slowly blending those two layers. Okay. You can go ahead and do that and live a little bit of border area of that shade the previous shade because the lighter part will be at the corners, and as you go far, it will be darker. With the same shade, you can do so many stuff. So just know how and where to do it. Leaving those little gap in between, at the edge of those hard shaped balloon will pop the colors out. If you notice right. I'm just going roughly and blending. It's not like a complete blend also. I'm just removing the hard edges. Finish of the details and if you think that this is done, then let it be. So this is it for today's painting. Okay. So I hope you all enjoyed it. And if you think you need some more details, you can go ahead and add, but too many details are really bad. Don't overdo it. So I hope you enjoyed the process with me and learn something new and do share your projects and also the reviews. And if you have any queries, you can go ahead and ask me I'll be very happy to answer you all. And if you need such classes in future, then go ahead and let me know so I can make them. Let's remove the masking tape. While removing the masking tape, just make sure the stickness is not too much, and the paint has completely dry and remove the tape in the outside manner that is also in 45 degree angle. The tape shouldn't be removed inside where the paint has k remote outside. If the paint is too sticky, then go ahead and use a hair dryer, go over it, and the stickiness will reduce and eventually you can remove the masking tape very easily. Oh I hope you all enjoyed it. I'll see you in the next session. 8. Floral bouquet 1 : Whenever someone calls to a party, we usually think of getting them a gift. We think of envelopes to sites, to gift hampers to floral bouquet. So thinking of that, here, I have kept one of the class projects as floral booquet, and the colors required is a pink color for the sheets of the bouquet, hot pink, baby pink, and also black and white color. Along with that, I have chosen purple and violet for the floral. You can go with any shade of color for the flower and make it into a lighter shade with white. But here I have two colors, so I have chosen those. Along with that, you need emerald green for the leaves and also for the ribbon arty red. And background, you can keep a lighter color again. So here I've chosen yellow teeth color. Along with that, as you can see, I have already drawn this drawing. So you can just pause and copy the same floral book you drawing or So here's the drawing. I'm just going to show you how to fill that drawing, okay? So basically, we'll be learning here is how to fill each color into the specific boundary with the brushes and also how to add realism into it. Starting from shading to shadow area to highlights. As you can see, I have chosen baby pink color and making it into a pastel shade, and I'll be using a small detail brushes. Coming to small detail brushes, what do I mean? It's like starting from a liner brush to a small round brush. I won't be using any bigger size bruh except for the background. So here I'm using a knife palette and adding the colors into the mixing palette. If you have tube form, you can directly apply it onto the mixing palette, and then you can use it. Okay. Since we are using a lighter shade of BB pink color. So I'll be mixing the pink with white color and making a lighter shade. And then I'll be adding some water into it and making it into a gauche consistency, and I'll be then applying it onto the floral bouquet sheets. If you might have noticed that I have drawn lines in the floral bouquet sheets over which the shadow area will come at that particular place. So go ahead and add the baby pink with white mixture onto the places where there is no line of drawing. You can see that shape has vertical stripes, right? Over there a darker shade will come. Be careful and go ahead and do slowly and using a small brush, you can go ahead and do it. If you're doing it on a larger sheet or skte book, go ahead and use the brush accordingly. Whenever you apply, make sure that you're trying to have an even tone, especially the base layers having an even tone. At least one sheet should be of even tone. What do I mean by even tone? It's basically a single shade of color. If you're using a particular shade that is you have already mixed, two drops of white with two drops of baby pink. Then it has to be that particular shade itself, you can't use three shade of white with two drops of pink. You can see how much difference it'll get okay. So make sure one sheet at least has a particular shade, same shade. Carefully apply at the borders, make sure that you don't go out of it, especially at the corner borders. If it is inside, it's all right. We'll go with a darker shade to cover up. Oh. A you can go ahead and apply the pink color onto the flowers or even the leaves. But once that is dried, you have to go over it with white color, and then you need to add another color on top of it. Whenever you mix and add colors, right? In case, if you have already added pink and then go over with the purple, it'll give you a mixture of it. So go gets reactivated very easily, right. So be careful with that. So to avoid that, It's better that you leave it P. If in case you have already added, then go with we first, white layer first, and then above it, you can add whatever shade you want to add. Oh. The painting looks almost done with the base layer. Now it's time to add the shadows. So here I have taken hot pink mixing with baby pink color. That is the mixture of white and light pink bouquet. I'll be adding that darker shade of pink onto those striped areas. And also, I'll be adding that same color to the borders of the floral bouquet. And just like that. You can add a little bit of black also into it, but not too much, okay. Oh per If you think that the brush is too wide to use, then you can go ahead and shift to a smaller brush. If you have any sort of markers, especially a sketch pen or acrylic marker, then you can go ahead and use it on the borders. And blending part. If you want, you can go ahead and blend or else just leave a sharp G blend because that is actually defining the sheet, you see? One layer is covering another layer. I hope you're getting my point, right? Oh. Once we have added the borders and also the shadow area. Let's do some shading. I'll go with the first shade like two drops of white with two drops of pink light pink. We'll go with that. If you think that it's matching the base layer, then go ahead and add a little tinge of pink extra onto it, and then just get the brush moving from top to bottom bottom to top. But make sure that the base layer is actually being. Okay? And wherever you're leaving space, you see, that's becoming a highlighting area. Be careful where to give highlights and where not to give. I For the bottom part, you can go ahead and give the shading, but we'll do that once the bow and everything is to be finished, I'll be seeing you in part two of this class. Oh. 9. Floral bouquet 2 : Hello and welcome to the second part of this floral bouquet painting. So let's continue. Firstly, in the first series, if you don't know, we have already completed painting the floral sheets, for the bouquet. Now we are going to paint the flowers and also the leaves, and also in between the filling material, we could say, and also the background and the boot. So for the flowers, I have chosen a lighter shade of purple and violet color. So if you think that this two combination is, like, not so okay, you can go ahead and use spring color or red color or even you can make whatever type of flower you want, starting from tulips to rose, anything, okay? So here, I'm just going ahead and adding the waters first. You can go ahead and fill out the first, base layer with a lighter shade of the flower, and then go ahead with a darker shade and outline it with the detailing brush again. Don't use a broad brush. Okay, that will mess up. That will really mess up the whole painting. So be careful with that. If you don't have a lighter shade, you can go ahead with whichever color you're using and mix that with with white color and make it into a pastal shade and then go ahead and apply it. As you can see, when I added first, borders, and then went with the filling material, it actually blended completely. So it's not so definable. So let's do the base layer first and then go ahead and add the borders, a You can literally make the difference with the different shades of flowers. For one particular flower, you can go with a lighter shade. And for one particular flower, you can go with a bit darker shade. According to perspective, also, you can go ahead and do it. Like the left side one is completely lighter and the right one is darker. You can do that as well. So here I'm adding somewhere lighter color flowers and somewhere darker color flowers. Okay. And then on top of it, we are going to do the borders. I hope you're getting my point, right? And wherever you think the space is left out, you can go with detailing brush and fill that particular space with pink color that is baby pink with white color mixture. H. Uh, Almost the flowers are done now shifting to the leaves. I've chosen emerald green, you can go with olive green or in green or sap, whichever green you like. Okay. So basically, we are going to just add the leaves into that particular shape of the or whatever we have drawn. And in that, if you want material, some more drama into that. By material, I mean the shading part, the shadows, highlights, and all of that. If you want that, you can go ahead and paint the base layer first with emerald green and take a bit darker shade and go with the borders and also the central vein. And for defining shadows, you can go ahead and shade in the similar manner and how we did for the floral bouquet sheets, right? Like that, you can go ahead by shading it all right. So here the leaf borders are very small, so I'm not messing up a lot and not giving so much details. I'm just adding emerald green. Oh. Oh. Look at the way I'm pulling the brush towards while painting the leave. You can just go ahead and do that. Add as many leaves as you wish, and also it be longer, smaller, bro whichever shape you like. Wherever it's, you can just have it, o? If you think you need more definition for the flowers and leaves, you can go ahead and do that on top of it. And, um, Once this is done, we'll go ahead and paint the behind background. I've chosen yellow teas color. You can go with mute color or any pastel shade of color, light colors. You're I'm using flattened brush. As you can see, I haven't used flattened brush or any broad brush til. So for the background, there is a lot of space left, right? So for that to cover up more easily or more fastly, I'm using this. So let it be in a creamy consistency itself and go ahead and add the paint onto the paper. Like, just go and fill space as possible. When coming to the details, you can go ahead and use a small rounded or a line of bruh, and go ahead and add that particular color, that particular place. If you're noticing that I'm already filling all of the detail area with the same flattened brush by twisting and turning, this can be done if you're confident enough. I'm telling again if you're confident enough. If you're not confident enough, don't mess up the paint, a smaller line of bruh. Since the leaves are looking, let's go ahead and make it darker, you can just emerald green with a little bit of black and go ahead and go over it. Now, coming to the bow here, I have chosen that particular shape. If you want Mickey Mouse bow shape, then you can go ahead and use that shape also. Here, I'm using the liner round brush and going ahead and adding colors onto it. If you have your own image inside your head, you can go ahead and paint that particular shape of the bow. O M To add details inside the bow here, I'm mixing a bit of black with the Azi red and going ahead and we'll be adding the part of the bow and also the don part of the book, as I told we'll do it later. You can go ahead and do it now because we are already finished with the bow painting, right? Add the black and red mixture wherever you feel like there's a shadow in the bow. Oh. Finish off all the details, giving the final touch up to the painting. Also, if you think that the book is not forking out or standing up, you can go ahead and use a ball pin. Okay. It has to be very thin tip pen. You can go ahead and outline the floral sheets, the bow, and the whole book, right? Don't mess it up with a gel pen or any broad mark. Look at the magic of that ball pin outline. It hasn't shown the blackness, but also it has defined the floral bouquet and it's popping out. You can see right side on your right. It's actually showing up as if there. So this was it for this painting. I hope you enjoyed, and I hope you applied the steps and trucks for painting such illustration work. And let's remove the masking tape. Be careful with it and remove it in the outside manner. And also if the tape is too sticky, you can go ahead and use a hair dryer. Mine is not that sticky because I have already applied onto the table and also onto the cloth, and then applied onto the paper. So that's why it's not sticky and it's coming out really well. Also, not every paper is suitable for that particular masking tape. So be very careful while applying it. You can do a patch test first and then paint it okay. If you have already applied and things have been worse, then go over with a hair dryer and then remove it. Define some more edges with the ball pin. And, if you have anything to finish it off with the detailing brush and give it a detailing finish, I will see you in the next class. In the next class, we will be painting champagne glasses, so stay tuned and share your review and also the projects. I'll be happy to see. And also, if you have any queries, you can go ahead and ask. I'll be happy to answer. 10. Champagne Glasses : Hello, and welcome to the fourth painting of party themed aesthetic Gach painting series. So today, we are going to paint champagne glasses. So the colors required is black, titanium white, yellow, cho, orange. And yeah, these many colors are required. Basically, what we are going to do is, I'll tell you everything at the beginning itself, so you can see and enjoy the process without me being interfered in this. So basically, we are going to paint the background with complete black. And then I'll be drawing the two champagne glass with soda filled in it or drinks filled in it. So, we are using dry brush technique and also a bit of the normal paint strokes, which we get in a normal brush that we are going to use and applied on the amping glasses. And wherever necessary, there will be a bouquet effect onto the background and also some splattering technique at the end. The dry brush technique, I'll let you know how and went through. So what is dry brush technique? Dry brush technique is basically So whenever you take a brush and load the brush with paint, make sure that when you run over your skin, it's wet, but not it's way. I hope you're understanding the brush is not containing too much of water, but it is moist enough to hold the paint in it, okay? So we will give that strokes onto the sample paper first two strokes, and then we'll add the same bruh onto the paper so that there's dry brush effect sine. And also, this has to be done when the paper is completely dry. So don't do it when the paper is wet okay. When adding black color onto the paper, that is background. If you think that it is not giving you full coverage and it is leaving you with patches, then go ahead and use acrylic paint for the background. You can just go ahead and see my drawings and draw it onto yours. D Oh Once the drawing is completed, I'll go ahead with detailing brush and using white color, I'll go ahead and add the outline. It is completely okay if your brush having that bruh. So you can go ahead and use that if your brush is running smoothly, that is also fine for the borders. So once we are done with the outer borders for inner part of the champagne glass, I want that soda bubbly texture. For that, I'll be painting by keeping the brush in a perpendicular manner and going with the dabbing motion. And also, I'm just doing this method onto the lines, which we have already painted. You can go ahead and keep some space in between as well. And you can see how I'm dabbing it. You can go ahead and do that same texture onto the other glass as well. Now, coming to the reflection of the glass, you can just follow me. And here, I'll be using some smooth stroke and also some dry brush stroke. So make sure you are completely aware of how the dry brush stroke looks like. So basically, as I have already told you earlier that the brush is, but it is holding some amount of paint in it. And it's kind of like a little moist with paint holding in it, but not too moist or not too dry, o. It has to give some stroke when you are applying it onto the paper just like this. And you can see how beautiful it's looking. Oh. For the top part of the rim, it has to have like in between a black color and up and down with white color. You can do this with the detailing brush itself. Like, if you have no clue how to hold with detailing brush, you can go ahead and practice 100 lines with the small line of brush. And once you master that, you can go ahead and paint such detailed works. If you're still not confident enough, then you can go ahead and use a white mark or a white gel painting hole of this class. Oh x. So once you're done with the whole of the painting of class, to add some drama into this, we'll add some yellowish color into the glass, as if there yellow color in it. So again, the dh effect. We are not going to paint everywhere yellow. There has to be some white sing. You can just go ahead and leave some white color space, and also you can go ahead and add that yellow thing onto the black color directly as well. I'm painting this yellow color specifically on the corner edges so that it looks like as if there's reflection. Now, using the same yellow color, I'm going ahead and adding bouquet effect onto the background. As you can see, I'm just using the same brush and adding those small little circles. Some are close to each other. Some are overlapping. Okay. And the bouquet thing, you can go ahead and add with yellow ocher. That is a bit of brownish yellow and also orange color and white color. Bouquet effect. O You can go ahead and add this bouquet effect onto the glass as well, but I hope you don't add too many bouquet lights onto the glass only. Oh So I'll also be adding some orange texture onto the champagne glass also. And if you think that there's no white scene at all, then go over it with white again, ok? Oh. If you make any mistake, you can go ahead and cover it up with black also. Like there's too much of color seen, then you can go ahead and use the black color and just make here and there some difference so that it looks beautiful enough, and there is enough reflection to look more realistic, and also you're capturing that great w. You can see how glass is making a difference when you applied black color. A Oh. Adding more and also the reflections. Oh. O O. It is not possible that every time you keep the brush dry, right? Sometimes by mistaken you have added too much of water into the brush and it has almost ruined the painting. At that particular time, you can go ahead and use the tissue and just like dab it on it, and then remove excess of water, just like how I'm doing it. Look at that. I'm just dabbing it and the paint is absorbed in the tissue. Now you can go over that particular part and go and paint with whatever colors you require or whatever colors where they're already. O Oh. You can completely avoid this step. I like splatters, so it looks more real for me. So I'm adding the white yellow color. So you can go ahead and use whichever splatter you want. So how do you make the platters? It's basically thinning down of paint in mixing palette with water. And then, using that particular small size brush. If you want small splatters, if you want bigger splatters, go for a bigger rounded brush, and then we keep it horizontal on paper, like where you want to put those platters, and then take another brush and hit it onto that previous brush. I hope you're getting my point, right? Also, you can see how I'm covering up the main, object in the painting and splattering all the paint all around it, but not on the subject itself alone. O O Add all the finishing touches before you remove the masking tape and finally be proud of yourself that you did such a hard work, and also it looks more beautiful. I hope you enjoyed this painting with me, and also if you think that the white dry brush effect has vanished away, you can go ahead and add that again on top of it. But don't smoothen out. Oh So here is the final look of what we painted that doesn't it looking so gorgeous and so realistic. I hope you enjoyed it. Now, remove the masking tape carefully, because I don't want you to row in such a hard working painting. So let's remove the masking tape the outward and also remove it slowly and gently. And I hope the painting has already dried before you remove the tape. If you think the tape is too sticky, then go ahead and use a hair dryer so that the stickiness reduces and then you can peel out the tape easily. Apart from this, if you think that this realistic paintings, you want to try and you want to learn more such tips and tricks, then you can go ahead and put a review so that I can make some more classes on it and also share me your class project so that I would love to see it and appreciate you guys. Thank you for joining in. And this is a final lo. If you think there's still some retailing left, you can go ahead and add it. Your reviews and class projects do matter so that I would get to know how much of you guys have really participated in this painting and learn something. So do share it, and I would be happy to reply your questions if you have any, and also to look at your beautiful gorgeous paintings. Okay. I'll see you in the last and final class project of this whole painting session. So see you there. 11. Disco Ball 1 : Hello, and welcome to day five of our party themed aesthetic Burch painting series. So for this session, we are going to paint disco ball painting. As you all know that in any party, without disco ball, the dance floor is completely empty. So we are going to reciprocate that. And the colors require is black, white, and a pastel shade of purple. And also, you can use any shade for the background, but here I've chosen purple because it's looking more attractive, right? So also apart from this, I'll be using a white marker and a black pen. If you don't have these two, you can go ahead and use a line of brush and give the strokes instead of those pens. So we are going to paint this disco ball. And as you can see, how many lines you want, you can have your own reference image. Or you can just copy mine. I'll be posting the drawing picture in the discussion, so you can go and check that out. And for the drawing, the top part I'm making like C and the bottom will be of curfle. And here I'll be making certain number of lines, some longitudinal and some latitudinal. So the latitudinal runs from one end to the other. Um in a horizontal way. Just make sure that the center point is at the top, and the lines are in curvy manner, okay. And the longitudinal is running from top to bottom. And they're again curved as if the center point is at the middle of that circle. Okay. And the lines, which I have drawn here is the number of lines. For the latitudinal, I have drawn around ten to 12 lines, and for longitudinal around ten lines I have drawn. Apart from that cone. For that cone, I have made into two steps, okay? And leaving the borders, I'm telling you how many lines I have drawn. So you can draw the latitudinal one first. And as you go from top to the middle part, the middle part will be the widest or the biggest. And the tens will be smaller. And it is same for the longitudinal ones. So you can see the middle part I'm drawing the most thickest one. And as I'm going down, I'll be making smaller w one. All right. Again, coming for the longitudinal one. You can see the right side image, how I have drawn. You can just go from like curved man, curve C shaped mano or B shaped a C shaped mano. All right. You can draw in similar fashion, like how I'm doing this drawing, or you can just make one box at a time. Like one will be the smallest at the top and second one will have two boxes where the middle part of the previous box, that the top box is mating at the two boxes center. I hope you're getting my point. You can go by forming box box or you can just draw the lines and make it. It's up to you how you made the boxes. Be very careful while doing this because we want the part of the disco ball to be the widest and the corners to be the and also the to be smaller at the corner. H. Once we have drawn the lines, you can now go ahead and define the boxes, each boxes separately, you can go ahead and. And also, wherever you want the shadow part, you can go ahead and shade it in the pencil itself. So you have an idea where to put black color. So you can go ahead and add the shadow, especially at the corners. Okay. You can go with the darker start the bottom and the top and also a bit at the corners. And central part, you can make it as a highlighted area, or you can make it as a shadowest area. So here I'm making as a shadow eest area. I'll be, like making certain boxes completely black, and certain boxes I'll leave it empty, okay. So that's where highlighting area comes where the boxes are empty. So carefully go ahead and shade whichever box you want as a shadow area. Just imagine yourself and go ahead and do it. There's no certain particular number of boxes that has to be the det and certain boxes have to be on the highlighting area. You can just go ahead and randomly, shade the darkest part of the dispo ball. When I have already given you an idea, you can just go ahead and do it. Similar to the lines which you have drawn for the disco ball, I'll go ahead and add those lines onto the top part of the con. And also for the chains, I'll be making a circle like shape. Oh. Once you're done with the drawing, just pause yourself and take a deep breath, go around and then sit back and just relax. And just imagine is this the one looking for the drawing because it's too confusing. I understand. It took me around more than 1 hour for drawing it. So be very careful and uh Just imagine this is what you want go ahead and paint it. So once you're confirmed, we'll go ahead and start painting. So this is what I want for the painting. So I'll be moving on for the painting part. Here I've chosen two brushes. If you have filbert brush, smaller one, you can go ahead and use that, or you can also use a smaller size flattened brush. I would better say you can go ahead and use a smaller size flattened brush. And wherever the darkest part is, you can go ahead and apply back color. Just make sure that you are painting, um, like each box black color, and you have to be very careful and patiently do the step. It's okay if your painters going beyond the borders, but we'll be using a white marker or you can also use a correction pen for that. So you can go ahead and paint it, okay. And if you don't have a smaller size flatten brush, then go ahead and use a round brush and carefully go around the boxes and paint it. Oh. Don't be impatient. Just take a deep breath and start painting. It's a very relaxing procedure, so enjoy and paint it. Oh. Oh. O As I have said earlier, it's okay if you have gone out of the box and painted it because we will be painting white color on top of it with a correction marker or white maker. For the border of boxes? H. Now, I'll be painting a gray color. So here I'll already make some good amount of black and white mixture and make a good amount of gray. And I'll be painting the gray around the black, but I'll be leaving some white space as well. So go around the black one or two boxes or one or two layers and leave white space enough. So you can see the difference. When I said, I'll be mixing good amount of gray color mixture. I meant that it has to be single color of shade. It shouldn't be different shade of gray, okay? Oh a So once we are done the gray part, we'll go ahead and paint white color all again into the boxes using the same flattened brush, but make sure that you have washed your brush before applying it. So the gray and black color doesn't interfere in the white. So we are completely done with the painting part. You can go ahead and do that for the co part also, like certain area, black and certain area, gray and white. It's up to you whichever color you want. I'm completely painting it off with color. And as you can see, there are lines, so it's okay. We'll be adding the lines again with the black pen. So wherever the white part is there, we'll go ahead and add boxes with black color pen. And wherever the black boxes are there, we'll go ahead and add the outline of the box using the white marker or correction pen. You can see how I'm doing it. And if you don't have correction pen, then go ahead and use white gel pen or even like white acrylic, you can use. You can also add white outline onto the gray boxes as well. O. Look, the disco ball is coming into place, right? It's almost looking like a disco ball, right? Now, using the black pen, we'll be adding boxes onto the white area. Oh. B. Ta, we are almost done with the disco ball. 12. Discoball part 2 : Once we are done with the drawing process, let's continue with the painting part. For the part, we are going to paint the background. For the background, I have selected purple color and it's purple pastel shade. So this is a pastel shade of purple. If you have purple, then you can go ahead and make some white into that and make it into that shade, or you can use directly purple for the corner parts and for the center. As you come near the center, you can go ahead and use white color. So using that same technique, I'll be using with this shade, that is a pastel shade of purple and going ahead and adding the most darker shade tonal value at the corner. And as I'm going at the center, I'll be adding some mixture of white around it. Here, I'm using a broader that is flat and brush. It is very convenient because it's broad and it covers much of the area very easily. And with one stroke, you get full coverage if the consistency is correct. Go slowly and cover the edges of the disco ball, but don't paint on the disco ball. Okay okay. Be very careful about it? So we have covered almost all of the part with the pastal shade of purple. Now it's time to make some white with that particular shade and add it around the disco ball. For this particular step that is painting around the disco ball, I would like you fib brush because the edges are curved and you can easily cover up. And if you're convenient enough to use a flattened brush or a rounded brush, you can go ahead and use. Firstly, I'll be just adding the color around it and later we'll be blending the two colors together, so be very careful and go around it. For the blending part, I'm taking that same brush and going around the disco ball and around the two colors where there's a line right. You can differentiate he. I'm going over and over again so that it blends equally, and there's no much different scene. If you still think that the lines are prominent and the blending is not proper, then you can go ahead and mix a little bit of water and then pat drier onto the towel or tissue, and then go ahead and run over the sharp edges again. Now coming to the chain part here, I'll be using the same gray color and using a liner brush, I'm going and making some oval shapes. And they are linked to each other. You can go with a figure of eight shape, and that figure of eight is running from bottom to the top. Okay. To add more depth into the chain, we'll go ahead and add some white color in between or at the corners of this chain. Let's make this disco ball realistic for which I'll be using a bit darker shade of gray but not complete black in the fill board brush and going ahead and making some like half round shape, that a semicircle, but in a curved manner. And here I'm using a filbard brush, which is very convenient to make a circle. Look at this step properly and then carefully painted and don't make any mistake. Look how semicircle I'm making, too, not too big or not too broad. You can see very little one. And also, you can, yeah, cover the edges like so. Now, to add more depth into the shadow, I hear I'm using white color around the shadow part, and then I'll go and blend with the background. A If you think the chain is, then you can go ahead and use the black pen. Or if you don't want that particular step, then you can completely avoid it. O Now for the reflection of the mirrors from the disco ball here, I have a reference image from which I have captured the idea. So basically, I'm going to take a pastal shade of that particular pastal purple. And then with the rectangular shape, I'll be adding on the left side, closer rectangles and in a curved manner. And on the right side, I'll be adding more brighter, but square shape, and they'll be far apart. You can see my step and then go ahead and paint it. Okay. Oh If that particular shade is mixing with the background that is pastal shade, then you can go ahead and add a little bit of more white color into the past mixture because it'll give you a different value. That will stand out to give you a different color. Oh. Oh. As you can see on the left side, I'll put the reflection of the mirrors closer to each other, but on the right side. I'll be using white and they are a bit far from each other. And also, I'm using a liner brush. Don't use a flattened brush. For the step because it might give you a different shape and that might look a very different painting than this. So be careful about it and use a liner brush or a round a brush of small size. And one more thing is don't add the reflection of the disco ball glasses on to the shadow. Okay. If you think you are left out with the finishing touches, you can go ahead and add. Here, I think that the shadow part where it is blending with white over there, I'll add a bit like sharp. Here I'm using that same shade of g for that shadow. So don't use the. So this was all for today's painting. I hope you enjoyed it. If you think you need to give some final touch ups like a particular part of disco ball with white highlight that you can give with a filbard brush around the corner. Don't make it messy, okay, but give it around like a little bit, not too much also, okay. So this was it. I hope you enjoyed it. Varnish is a transparent or translucent coating that is applied to the surface of a painting to protect and enhance its appearance. It creates a protective layer that shields the artwork from dust dirt and UV rays, helping to preserve its color and overall quality. Varnish can also be added as a glossy or a mat finish, depending on your preference, It can deepen the color, provide an veness to the surface and give your painting a professional look. However, it's important to consider the pros and cons before deciding to varnish your artwork. Coming to the prose of the varnish, varnish gives you a protective layer. It enhances the appearance of your painting by giving a glossy or a mat finish depending on your selected varnish brand. And also it deepens the color and makes them appear more vibrant and rich. It provides evenness on the surface of your painting. The cons it is irreversible. Once the varnish is applied, it can't be removed. And also alteration of surface, depending on the type of varnish used, it can alter the surface texture. And sometimes it causes a lowing of the painting, and also the application procedure, sometimes it leaves you with bubbles or uneven coverage, et cetera. So these are the cons. So For water based medium, there are two types. There is cool wax, and there's fixative spray. Here I'm using a fixative spray. Basically, fixative spray is used to apply onto a pencil or charcoal, such lighter finished paintings, and it is available everywhere. Whereas the cool wax, it's not available everywhere, but it's the best one to use for the water based paintings, okay? And that wax should be applied with a cloth, and you have to apply it thoroughly running from left to right and give an even look. And also, once it's dry, you have to give one mo layo and polish it with a clean towel or cloth. For this fixative spray, you need to have a very well ventilated room. It's better that you do it outside where there is fresh air. Just shake the bottle and apply it onto the painting evenly running from left to right. And once it's dry, you can go ahead and give one more layer and just check for the glossiness. Apart from this, I stow them in a clear sheets in a file or in a clear envelopes. The painting so. And the reason why I have kept the plastic sheet for underneath the mat. It's because it'll give you a really rough texture, and it might ruin the mat. So it's always better that you go outside, take a newspaper or a plastic sheet and keep beneath it, and then go ahead and spray it, okay. Do this in a very ventilated room, and if you are asthmatic or anything, use a mask. It's compulsory to use a mask. And every one is have on instructions by manufacturing company. Make sure that you read it. And the happy pain, and thank you for joining again, signing off until next course. Take care.
