1. Updated Christmas course intro : I Merry Christmas, everyone. My name is Eric, and I'm the tutor for this course. I've been teaching for over 20 years, teaching from the ages of five to 40 plus, and I have worked in various schools as well. In this course, you're going to learn some fun Christmas songs that you can share with your family and friends. I'm going to teach you how to play the melody of the songs, the choruse of the songs, and also the bass. We're also going to learn about how to put these songs together in both hands as well at a pace that will be suitable for beginners or even those who are a little bit more experienced. Before starting this course, it is important that you have a keyboard or even if you have a keyboard on your iPad, but preferably, it would best have a physical keyboard in front of you when learning these songs. This course will be valuable for you if you're a beginner and want to add more songs to your repertoire of playing. Also, learning left hand and right hand coordination to play songs as well. At the end of this course, what I would love is if you could record yourself actually playing one or two of these songs, you can show me this on YouTube as unlisted. Or on another site if you want to. But I would love to see how you've progressed in this course and show me how you've played the songs. You could even show me a clip of you playing the songs in front of your family or friends on Christmas Day or just by yourself. However you would like to do, this is up to you, and it'll be an encouragement to the community, as well. So once again, I want to say Merry Christmas to you, and I look forward to seeing you on this course, also seeing your performances as well. So I'll see you all soon. 2. Intro - All i want for Christmas: First Christmas song is going to be the all time classic All I Want for Christmas is you by Mariah Kerry. 3. All i want for Christmas (Melody): Hey, guys, I'm gonna be breaking down the classic All I want for Christmas is you by Mariah Kerry. So let's get straight into this. I'm going to break this down section by section to make it nice and easy for you. So we're going to play the first part. Yeah, so I don't want a lot for Christmas. So what we do is we put our thumb on the G, second finger on the B, third finger on the D, fourth finger on F sharp, th finger on G, then go back to F sharp, then third finger on E, then second finger on D. Let's do that again, so I don't want a lo for Chris Mus. One more time. I don't want a lo for Chris Mus. Alright? So that's the first part. The next part now is there is just one thing I dead. Do that again. There is just one thing I knee dead. So the finger in for the next part is going to be this, A with the fifth finger, your four finger will go on G, then G again, third finger on F sharp, back to G with the forefinger, B to F sharp with the fir finger. Now you put your fire finger through a thumb on E, then second finger on D. Now prepare us for the next part. So that one more time. So From on E, second f growing the D. All right. Let's put those two pots together. So from the beginning. So practice that before you go to the next part. So next part now is I don't care about the present. Let's do that again. I don't care about the present. So what we do for that part there, put off from on the C, second finger on E, third finger on G, four finger on A, little finger, fifthenrad B flat. Then we go down to the first finger on G, then end with the second finger on E. Let's put it in real time. One more time. Then the next part is underneath the Christmas tree. So we go back to that C again on underneath the Chris Muss tree E. Yeah. So it goes on underneath the Criss tree, E. So forum will be on the C. Second finger now will be on E flat. First thing will be on G, fourth finger on A, fifth finger on B flat again, back to the A, first finger on F, then second finger on the E flat. Let's put those two parts together. So from the I don't care part, start on C. So after four, one, two, three, four, I don't care about the present on on underneath the Christmas tree E. Let's do that one more time. Okay, let's put those four pots together now. So it goes like this. First part. Second part. Third part. Last part. So, work on those four parts before we go to the next four parts. The next part goes like this, so I just want you for my own. Do that one more time. I just want you for my own. So it goes like this. So fourth finger on the G, fifth finger on on A, third finger on F sharp, fourth finger on the G, second finger on E, firth fingering F sharp, then second finger on D sharp. Do it again, fourth finger on G, fifth ran A, third fingern F sharp, fourth finger on G, second finger on E, third finger on F sharp, then end on D sharp with the second finger. Let's put it in real time. Next part. Then it goes like this. So more than you could no. So we put our fifth finger on the B, four finger on A, third finger on G, second finger on F sharp, thumb on E, then first finger on F sharp, then second finger on D. Let's put that in more time. One more time. Yes, let's put those two parts together. So I just want you for my own from there. One, two, three, go. The next part is make my wish come true. So like this. Make my wish come true. Make my wish come true. So thumb goes on the D, second finger on E, third finger on G. We jump up here, our fifth finger got in the D, then fourth finger got on C. Do that again, thumb on D, second finger on E, third finger on G, fifth gran D, fourth finger on C. Let's put that in real time. One more time. Then the final part is all I want for Christmas is you. Your first finger will be on B, second finger on A, thumb on G, third finger over, the thumb, goes to E, second finger on D sharp. Four finger on A, fifth finger on B, then first finger on G. So in real time, it'll go like this. All I want for Christmas is you. And that's the whole right hand melody for the tune. So start from the very top and play it all the way down to the end. So I hope you're ready after four. One, two, three, go. Two, three, four. And that is it, guys. So we on that for me. Then I'm going to show you the next part with the left hand. 4. Demo - All i want for Christmas (Bass + Melody): [No Speech] 5. All i want for Christmas (Bass + Melody): Now I'm going to add the left hand base part to the right hand. The left hand part looks like this. So I'm gonna brak this down to you right now. So it goes like this. We put our second finger on the G like that. You go play it again. Then little finger goes to C. You play that again. Then we go back to the G from to the B, then fir finger on E. Fore finger on E flat or D sharp, then go to the D with little finger. Then you go to the G. I mean, E sorry, fore finger, then thumb on A, then little finger or forefinger on D, then thumb on G. And that's your whole left hand. W on that left hand part, then draw me for this part here, where we're going to put it all together. So I'm going to do this nice and slow with you. We're going to do it section by section. So the first part I want us to work on will go like this. So all we're playing is G and G again, that's all we're playing on the left hand. G and G. So we play the G on the first part, so G with the B here for this part here. Then again on the A. Yep, so work on that. So for the next part, we play the C in the left hand with the C in the right hand. The see again. So for the next part, I just want you for my own goes like this. Then B with D sharp. Then third finger will be on E whilst your forefinger your fifth finger, sorry, will be on B here. E in your left hand B in your right hand. Then D sharp in both hands together. Then the next part is D&D On the C, you're going to play E in your left hand. Then it be A in your left hand whilst playing B in your right hand. Then you're going to go to D in your left hand whilst playing C sharp in your right hand to the F sharp. Whoops, to the A, sorry, with your forefinger. Then G and G together. Like that. Let's go from make my wish come true to the very end. And there we have it in both hands. Let's play it from the very beginning. One, two, three, four. So, work on that in both hands. And next up, I'm gonna show you how to play the chords if you're playing with a singer or if you want to sing the song at Christmas time and you want to play the chords. So I'm going to show you that next. 6. All i want for Christmas (Chords): I'm going to be showing you the chords. As mentioned before, this could be used for yourself or if you're going to accompany a singer. So we're first going to look at the right hand by itself. Then we're going to add the left hand afterwards. So for the right hand, it goes like this, so we're starting with the G major chord. Then again, then we go to the C major chord, which is GCE. Then we play C minor, but it's G, C and E flat for the C minor chord like this. So the lyrics, it will go like this, I don't want a lot for Christmas. There is just one thing I need. Then we change to the C major Cchord. I don't care about the presents, then C minor underneath the Christmas tree. Then we go back now to the G for I just want you for my own. So I just want you for my on own, we play the B major chord, which is B, D shop, and F shop. So I just want you for my own then more Me than you could ever. Then we'll play the E oh, well, A No A minus sorry A diminished, ACE flat. Yep E minor moe than you could ever then nose A diminished which is which is A, C and E flat? No. Then the next part is back to G. Make my wish come true, which is E minor, so we're going to do the G, B E for E minor. Then for the part, we play A minor, ACE, or I one for Christmas. That's A diminished, ACE flat. Then go back to the G U, then go to the E minor, and go back to the A minor. Then we play the C diminished or you can play D major. With A, D and F shop at the end, like that. I'm gonna play it through one more time. So it goes like this. So G, I don't want a lot for Christmas. Then G again, there is just one thing I need, then C major. I don't care about the presents, then C minor underneath the Christmas tree. Then next part is G again. I just want you for my own B. Then for more is E minor, then you could ever then a diminished null the G, make my wish come true E minor, then all A minor. I want four, then A diminished. Christmas is U G major. Then there's a little interlude goes to E minor, GBE, then ACE, then D major. At the end. So I'd like you to work on that for me in your right hand. Then we're going to add the left hand with the right hand next. Oh 7. Demo - All i want for Christmas (Bass + Chords): [No Speech] 8. All i want for Christmas (Bass + Chords): So we are now going to add the base note to the chords. We're going to go line by line. You're going to put your second finger on the G. All right. And it will go like this. So I don't want a lot for Christmas. It goes one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. That's for the first line. So I don't want a lot for Christmas. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. So you're gonna play the chord and hold it down whilst playing the left hand. Yet, left hand keeps going. Whilst the right hand is held down. So I don't want a lot for Christmas. Then you repeat the same thing again, you play the left hand part eight times on the G note. There is just one thing I need. Yep, so one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Then it goes to the C major. Put your thumb on C, and we play C chord in your right hand. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, and C minor. Still playing the Cn eight times, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Then we go back to the G. Two, three, four, five, six, now. Then we go to the B on seven, eight, seven, eight, like that. So I just want you for my own like that. Yep. Then the next part, more than you will ever know. So we go to the E minor more than you would ever know. So E minus six times then E flat with the A diminished will be on seven and eight. So one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, like that. So for the make my wish come true, we're going to play D four times with the G, so one, two, three, four E minus four times, one, two, three, four. So make my wish come, then true, two, three, four, like that. Then all I want for Christmas. So all I want four times, so all, two, three, four, then go to the D in the left hand. With the A and A diminished, one, two, three, four, then back to G, one, two, three, four, then back to the E minor, one, two, three, four, and A minor, then end on C. So A, D F shop, and one, two, at the end. And that's the whole thing with the base and the chords. Let's take it from the very beginning to the end after four, one, two, three, four. So, take your time, learn it, and have fun with this one, right? And I'll see you for our next Christmas song. 9. Intro - Last Christmas : Christmas song is by a popular artist named George Michael, and the song is called Last Christmas. 10. Demo - Last Christmas (Melody): [No Speech] 11. Last Christmas (Melody): I'm going to show you the melody for last Christmas, so it goes like this. So we're just doing a chorus for this song. All right. Song pay for you nice and slow. To get started A, let's put our full finger on that D note. So it goes like this. Last, Chris Ms I gave you my heart. Let's just do that part. So it's D DCG DDE C D DEC. All right. So last Chris Ms I gave you my heart. Okay, so work on that part. Then next part goes like this. So and the very last day I gave it away. I hope I got the words right. But yeah, so it goes, A, A D D, E, C, A, B, B A. D one more time. A, a DDE C, A B, B A. Okay, let's put those two parts together, okay? So First part, second part. Okay, so those two parts. So welcome putting those two parts together. The next part is. So E the FED so, FEF E D. D one more time. So E, the FEF ED. Yep, that's the third part. So let's put those three parts together. So First part, second part. Then the third part Then the last part, so work on those three parts, and then the last part goes like this. So C, B, C, B, B, C, B, B, G. One more time. C, B, C, B, B, C, B, B, G. That's the last part, okay? So I'll do it one more time. So let's put those four parts together. First part, second part. Full fair part. Then the final part. Okay, so work and put in all those four parts together. So we and put in those four parts together, and then I'll show you the next part with the base note in the left hand. 12. Demo - Last Christmas (Bass + Melody): [No Speech] 13. Last Christmas (Bass + Melody) : We are now going to add the left hand bass with the melody. So in your left hand, way doing this, we're going from C. Then we're going to A. Then we're going to D. Then we're going to G. It will sound like this with the melody. That's it. So I'm now going to break it down for you, nice and slow, okay? So for the first part, we put our little finger on that C note in the left hand, and it goes like this. Let's do that first. So we press down the C note whilst playing the part I just showed you just now, so like this. Stop there. Alright, stop in that A. Alright, one more time. So Okay. Then once you got that part, the next part is So Okay. Alright, so work on the first and the second part I showed you just now, and it just s like this. So Okay, so work on those two parts. And then the third part is Okay, again. Oh, stop in the sea. Yes, stop in the sea. Yes, so. Let's put those three parts together. New part. And the last part is. And that's the whole sequence, okay? So I'm gonna pay it for you again. Nice and slow. Alright, so listen one more time. Okay. So, what you can do in your left hand is that you can play bouncing on the notes, like this. All you're doing is playing every note eight times. So one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, and so on, okay? So work on your left hand, just doing that on your left hand, and then add the right hand part. So sound like this for the right hand part. Okay. But if it's too hard for you, just do the simple way I showed you at the very beginning. But don't join until you can play the melody in the right hand and the bass in the left hand. I'll see you soon. 14. Demo - Last Christmas (Bass + Chord): [No Speech] 15. Last Christmas (Bass + Chords) : So we are now looking at playing the chords in the right hand and the bass in the left hand. So if you're a singer or if you're playing with a singer, this will help as well. So in your left hand, you play the base part and in your right hand, you play the chords. So we're going to play the same chords you played in the left hand in the right hand now. So the chords will be CEG for C major chord. Then it will be E EAC for the A minor chord, then DFA for the D minor chord. And then GBD for the G major chord. Just like that. All right. So with the left hand, it will sound like this, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, to the A minor chord. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, to the D minor chord. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, then go to the G major chord, GBD, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Okay? So once you can play that very well, then I would like you to add the bounce in the left hand. So once you can play it that way, I would like you to now add the bounce in the left hand, like how we done it in the previous lesson with the bass and the melody. So it will go like this. Two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, then. I'm not gonna sing it, but I'll just say the words because I have a terrible voice, and I don't want to ruin your experience of learning this song. So it goes like this. So last Christmas, I gave you my heart. On the very first day, you gave it away. Then obviously, carries on the words. So just take your time in learning each part of this song. So first do the melody by itself, master that first, then master the melody with the bass, and then master the melody with the chords, and then finally master the bass with the chords. Okay? All the best and well done in completing all the songs, and I will see you soon. 16. Intro - Feliz Navidad : Okay, guys, now I'm going to show you a song called Felise Navidad, which is another popular Christmas song. So check it out next. 17. Demo - Feliz Navidad (Melody): [No Speech] 18. Feliz Navidad (Melody): So we're now going to look at Felice and epidad in the right hand, just a melody. So I'm first gonna demonstrate it to you, and then I'll break it down to you in sections. So it goes like this. So I'll first go over the verse section, then the chorus, and then we'll put them both together afterwards. So for the verse section, I'm going to break it down in parts. So the first part goes like this. So GC, B, C, A. All right. And with the G, you kind of bounce on the note. So GC, B, C, A, like that. So practice that first part. The next part goes at this bouncing at G. D CAG. So GD, CAG. Okay, work on that part. So we put those two parts together. I will sound like this. Two, three, four, five, six, one, two, three, four, five, six. So as you can see, I'm holding down the note for 6 seconds, okay? I'll do it one more time. One, two, three, four, five, six. One, two, three, four, five, six. Then the first section, we repeat the first section again. So Yeah. Then the fourth section is F F, A, G, G, G F, F E. Okay. So the new part is more the fourth section, which is F, A, G, G, G F, F E. Okay, so working out. So now let's try and put the whole thing together. So only try and put it all together once you know each section really well. So let's put it all together now, so it goes like this. So, work on this before you go to the next part, which is the chorus, okay? So the chorus now goes like this. So you want to stop your little finger on the E. So it goes E E, E, E, D, C, C, A, A A. So E three times, one, two, three, or four times, one, two, three, four, then D C twice. A three times. Let's do that one more time. That's the first part of it. Then the second part is So the same thing, but just different notes. So D, D, D, D, C, A a GG, G. Okay. Let's put those two parts together. To the next part. Then we repeat the first part again. The new part is this, C, C, B, B, C, D, C. So it goes, C, C, B, B, C, D, C. That's the whole chorus. Okay? Let's put the whole course together now. That And there you have it. So make sure before you put it all together, you have learned the verse very well and also the chorus very well. So put it all together now. So the whole thing will sound like this. Two, three, four chorus. So next, I will show you how we play the left hand bass note with the melody in the right hand. 19. Demo - Feliz Navidad (Bass + Melody): [No Speech] 20. Feliz Navidad (Bass + Melody): So hopefully you can now play your right hand melody part. So to add the left hand, we play the F note. So the notes that we play in our left hand are F, hold it for 4 seconds to G 4 seconds. C, then A. So hold each note for 4 seconds. That's what we're doing for the verse and chorus. I'm going to show you how the base works with the verse and chorus. So we'll go like this. H Tong to playing nice and slow so you can see how it all works together, so it goes like this. So A and F together. Then Gina left hand. Then G and C together. Go to the F and left hand. A and F again. Then G&G. Then E and C. So the corso go like this. Then CNF. And the G and D. Then ANC. Then A. And CNG CN B, sorry. 21. Demo - Feliz Navidad (Chords + Melody): [No Speech] 22. Feliz Navidad (Chord + Melody): So I hope you're able to play the bass with the melody. So now I'm going to show you the chords with the melody. So the chords in the left hand are exactly the same in the verse and chorus, so there's no changes at all. So I'll demonstrate this to you first. The calls that I am playing are F major, which is FAC. Next cord is G major, which is GBD, then C major, which is CEG. And then A minor, but in a different inversion. So it was E A, C. All right. So it'll be like this. We got to hold each call for four counts. One, two, three, four, So just know that every chord is held down for four counts while playing the melody in the right hand. So I'm gonna play it for you again. You can join in if you want to, or you can watch me so you get an idea of how it all works together. So If this is too fast for you, play at your own pace, and you should be fine. Next up, I'll show you how to play the chord in the right hand and the bass note in the left hand. And this way of playing helps you when you want to accompany a singer, okay? I'll show this next up. 23. Demo - Feliz Navidad (Bass + Chord): [No Speech] 24. Feliz Navidad (Bass + Chord): Alright, so I'm now going to show you how you play the bass note with the chords. So you would use this if you have a singer or if you're singing the song yourself. So it goes like this. It's the same chord progressions over and over again. So to play this, all you got to do is play the F major chord in the right hand whilst playing the F in the base like this. That's FAC in the right hand. Then we play the G major chord in the right hand, which is GBD. Then we go to the C major chord, which is CEG. Then we go to the A minor chord, which is ACE. And that's it. So, work on that. So let's do that again. So hold every chord for 4 seconds. So one, two, three, four, then G, two, three, four, then C, two, three, four, then a, two, three, four. Okay? So just work on that. Work on playing at a slow pace first, and then gradually speed up. And if you want to accompany yourself, try and sing and play at the same time. Or if you've got a singer, then try and play along with the singer whilst playing the chords with the bass in the left hand and the chords in the right hand. Well done in completing this song. I hope you have fun with this, and I'll see you soon. 25. Intro - I wish you a Merry Christmas : So our next Christmas song is I wish you a Merry Christmas. I'll show you this next up. 26. I wish you a Merry Christmas (Melody): Straight into this, we are looking at I'll wish you a Merry Christmas, and we're looking at the melody in the right hand. What I would like you to do for me right now is put your thumb on the G note, which is here. All right, and it goes like this. I'll play it in sections. Yep, so I wish you. Sorry, I wish you a Merry Christmas, like that. Okay, so it goes G C, C, D, C, B A A for one more time. G C, C, D, C, D A A. So keep practicing that part over and over until you get it good. So once you can do that part, we go to the next section, which is So it goes a D EDC B, B. I thought one more time. A D DCB, B. Okay, so let's put those two parts together. So, goes at this. Yeah. Do that for one more time. So you can join in or play at your own pace in your own time. So like this, The last part or next part, sorry, because at this. Like that. So B E, EFD C. Second thing over to that A. Like that. One more time. Okay, so let's put those three parts together. So first part. Second part. First part. Then we stop there. All right, so practice those three parts, make sure you can play them, but no mistakes. Then the next part is Do they gain? So G, G A D B C. Okay, let's put those parts all together now. And let's hatch your sound. So work on that part, and then let's do the next section, which goes like this. Alright, so that's the good tidings part. So good tidings we bring. So good tidings we bring for you and your king. Alright, so it goes, C, C, C, B, B, C, B, a G, like that. Okay, so work on that part. So now we put it all together. Yeah. So that's the whole thing so far. The next part is so D E D C C G, Hi G, then go down to oggi. So hold octave down like that. So again. So we wish you a My Chris Mus. Then the last part we've done before and at the end. Okay, so do that last part again. So I'm gonna pay for you one time through again so you can hear the whole thing and then practice it by yourself. Then once you've got that then go to the next section, we play with the bass and the melody. Alright, that's how you play it apart from my little mistake there. But you work on that and then go to the next part afterwards. 27. I wish you a Merry Christmas (Bass + Melody)2: The right hand, we're going to add the left hand base. In the left hand, we're going to play C. Then we go to F. Then we go to D. Then we go to G, then to E, then to A, then to D G, C. So every note you hold up for three counts. So one, so one, two, three, to F, two, three, D, two, three, G, two, three, E, two, three, A, two, three, D two, then G three, then C, two, three. Okay, so if we add the right hand, I'm gonna play it super slow for you with the right hand, and we do it in sections as well. Let's do the first part. So G will be by itself in the right hand, and then we start. So we wish you a Mary. Chris, M like that. So C to F in the left hand, so I'll do it one more time. So wish you a Mary, Chris, Mus. Okay, so work on that part first. That's the first section. Then once you've got that, next part is, we then goes D and D together. So D in the left hand in the right hand, so we wish you a Mary. Then go to G your left hand and B in your right hand, Chris, Mus then B again. We then in your left hand. Go to the E in the right hand. Wish U A Chris C to A in the right hand, then and so A and D P, G and B, so G in the left hand and B in the right hand, then C and C together. Yeah. So take your time with this one, work on it. I'll play a game for you so you can see how it sounds in real time, okay? I'll play it for you nice and slow. Okay, so that's just sound. So working it, take your time with that section. Then once you can do that section, then drive you for the next part, which I'm going to show you right now. So it goes like this. So G by itself again. Then C and C together. So C, left hand, seeing your right hand, so good, tie, then, then G in the left hand, B in the right hand, bring, four, then go to the A in the left hand and senior right hand. Then G and G together. Then back to E Wish. So left hand in the right hand. So Wish, A M e. Then Gen, the left hand and Gina right hand, Hi Jen Log. So Chris, M and Dance before. So, then then end with the C. Yeah, like that. Okay? And that's basically it. So I'm now going to play the whole song with the left hand bass and the right hand melody. So it goes like this. Oh Alright, work on that and then draw me next with the cords. 28. I wish you a Merry Christmas (Bass + Chords): So so I'm now going to show you how we play the chord on the right hand and bass in the left hand to accompany a singer or even accompany yourself if you're going to sing the song yourself. So it goes like this. So C major. So we wish you a Mary then go to the F major chord, which we already know, which is FAC with the bass F. Then we play D major chord in the right hand, which is DF sharp A with the D bass note in the left hand. A Mary, then go to the G major chord, Chris Ms then go to the E major chord. We wish you a Mary and go to A minor chord, Chris Mus and a D minor chord, P, then G major chord, Nu and C major chord. Yeah. So it's the exact same thing was done before, but it was transferring it all to the right hand. So I'm gonna play it again up to speed, so it goes like this. And the next part is so good tis, we bring four then go to the A minor chord with the A base to you and your king h. Then we wish you a Mary, then go to the G chord, Chris Muss, and a D minor chord. P and G. Yeah. So all the chords that I'm playing right now, we've already done. But what I'm doing now is adding the base note for the chord. So if it's the F chord, we pay F. If it's the C chord, we pay the C note in the bass, if it's the G chord, we pay the G, et cetera. So I hope that makes sense. Just take your time to work on the changes in the right hand and the left hand, but play super slow, as I always say, okay? And you'll be fine with this one. So I'll play for you one more time, so it's just clear. So I'm gonna do it again with a chords, and I will try to sing. I mean, try to sing as I play the choruse and yeah, as you hear the words, so it goes, I wish you a sorry, we wish you a Merry Christmas. We wish you a Merry Christmas. We wish you a Merry Christmas, and P, now. Yeah, then goes good tidings we bring for you and your king. We wish you a Merry Christmas and ha pu. Sorry for the singing, but I hope it all makes sense to you while trying to show you, okay? And, yeah, all the best for this one. See you soon. 29. I wish you a Merry Christmas (Chords): Well done, if you have gotten this far in learning the song. So let's add the chords now with this song. So the chords in the left hand with the melody in the right hand. So it goes at this? And that's the whole song with the right hand. I mean, left hand beat Cord sorry. So let's work on this. Nice and slow. It may be a bit challenging at first, but just take your time with this one and you should be good. So in your left hand, all you're gonna play is this. So I'm gonna play it nice and slow for you. So we play the C major chord, which is C E and G. So that's the first chord, one, two, free. Then we go to the F major chord, which is F AC, F A C there. So, one, two, three, two F, two, three. So let's work on that. Okay? So one, two, three, one, two, three. So let's play that part with the melody, okay? Play it nice and slow. So the G starts by itself first, then we wish you, A, Mary, Chris. Must. So I went to work on that, I play slow, super slow, so slow it down a bit more. Wish you He My Chris. Must So I would suggest just continue to work on that over and over again until you can fully do that without no mistakes. Okay? The next part is we then play the D major chord now in your left hand. So it's D F sharp and A. So those free chords. And then we go to the G major chord. GBD. So GBD. So we're going from D major, D FhA to free then to G major, GBD. Okay. Alright, so from here, we wish you may Chris us. Dreft one more time. We wish you a Mary Chris Mus. Let's put those four calls together, so go like this. Next part. Okay. Excellent. Then next part, once you've got that, the next part will be this. So you play the E major chord now on the left hand. So E, G sharp, and B. Then we go to the A minor chord, which is ACE. These three notes. So E major to three to A minor to three. Yep. So work on that and then add the melody. So the melody part will be like this. Yeah, so the A minor chord has to C and A afterwards. So one more time. Yep, so work on that. So let's put all those three parts together. So the first part. Second part. Third part. Then the last part. Now, D will be D minor now, so DFA. Then go to the G major, so GBD, then C major, CEG with the C in the left right hand. Yep. Like that. So Okay, so work on putting that whole part together before you go to the next section. The next section goes like this. So C major again in your left hand. Then go to G major on your left hand with the B in your right hand. Then go to A minor in your left hand. Then back to G. Then Back to C major in your left hand, with the E note in the right hand. Then go to the G major in your left hand with the G note in your right hand. Then D minor in your left hand. Then G major. Then C. And that is it. The aim to put it all together now about no mistakes, okay? And take it slow. Like, I would suggest, work on each section, so work on one part, then work on the next part, then work on the next part master each part and then put them all together, okay? So great work, and I hope you had fun learning this song. 30. Intro - Silent Night : Next song is a classic traditional song, Silent Land. I'm going to show you this the next up. 31. Demo - Silent Night (Melody) : [No Speech] 32. Silent Night (Melody) : Start this song. I would like you to put your second finger on the G, and it goes like this. I'll play the first part. Alright, so it's Si. Okay? So G AGE. Alright, so work on that for me, please. So practice that. I'll do it for one more time. G AGE. Okay. So once you've got that, we pair it twice. Okay. Then the next part goes like this. So all is calm, all is bright. So you put your full finger on that D note, so it goes D, D, B, then CCG. Once you got that section, put it all together. So the first part is. Then again, Then new part showed you? A, A, B, C, C, G. Okay. Excellent. The next part goes like this. A, A C B a G A G E. So last part of that section is exactly the same thing we done at the very beginning, boom, boom, boom. Yeah, that G AGE. So let's put those two parts together again, okay? So you can join me at this point. So SnightHinight. So let's put those three parts together. So the first part is. Then we repeat that. Then next part The new part. Then we repeat that again. Okay, so I hope you've got that so far. If not, take your time working it before you go to the next section, which I'm about to show you right now. To play the next part, play D F, D, B, C, then. One more time. D D F D B, C, So now let's put all the parts together. U to the point where we just stopped just now. So let's go. Repeat again. Next part. Another part? Do repeat again. A new part showed you? Oh. Then we stop on E. The final part goes like this. C, G, E, then, G 50, C. One more time. C, skip two notes to G. Skip one note, go to E. Then we go to GF D, C. And one last time. C, G, E, then G 50, C. And that's basically all the melody for the song. So I'm gonna pay the whole thing one time through for you and I would like you to work on the melody before you add the bass part, which is in the next section. So let's go from the very top. So, one, two, three, go. And that's it. See you in the next section. Oh 33. Demo - Silent Night (Bass + Melody) : [No Speech] 34. Silent Night (Bass + Melody) : So I'm now gonna add the bass note in the left hand with the melody. I'm going to show you section by section as we've done in the last lesson. So for the first part, we're going to play the C note in the left hand like this. So one, two, three, one. Okay, one, two, three, one, two, three, one, two, three, one, two, three, like that. Okay? So SE Knight. Holy night. Yeah, so work on that for me, okay? So next part will go like this. Then back to C. So for the next part, you put your thumb in that G, then we go back to the C. So it goes G, G, then C, C. Okay, so let me show you how it will sound with the right hand melody. So for the first two notes, you play the G. For the second two notes, you play the C. So watch again. So all is C. That's the first two notes. The next two notes. A is. Okay, let's put that all together now. So from the beginning. So the new part B to C. Okay, the next part. So let's do that part. So F in the left hand, so F Then back to the G. I mean, better C. Then back to the F. Better C. Okay, so work on that. And then let's put it all together. Up to this point where we just stopped. So from the very beginning. The new note, F S. Then the last part or next part. Was that G. Then we go to the G sharp note here. See what done there? So go to the F note, we go to the G sharp on the left hand. Then then. So A in the left hand with the C, then E with the D in the left hand. So E in the right hand, D in the left hand. So that pop one more time. Then go to the F I mean, G sharp with the F note Then A with C. Then D with E. Then the last part is put your thumb on the G. Still on G. Then C and C together. So let me do that last part again for you. So G. G again. Then C. And that's the whole song with the bass and melody. So, work on that for me, guys. I'll play it for you one more time all the way through. You can watch. We can join along. So one, two, three, go. Okay, so work on that apart from my little mistakes there, but work on the rest of it, okay? And I'll see you for our next lesson. H 35. Demo - Silent Night (Chords + Melody): [No Speech] 36. Silent Night (Chords + Melody): I would like to say well done so far, if you have gotten up to this point of the song. So we're now playing a chords with the melody. The reason why I've placed the hands further apart is because they end up clashing at a certain point of the song. So I thought it would better we keep the right hand up here and the left hand down here, so there is no clashes. Alright, so the first part, we play the C major chord, so that's CEG, and we'll play that over this part here. Yeah. If we do left hand by itself, it'll be like this one, two, three, one, two, three, like that. So just practice doing the left hand before you add the right hand. Then eventually, you'll be able to play it like this. Okay, and next part, we now play the G chord in the left hand, that's GBD. And the same way we play the C major chord, we play the G major chord, so one, two, three, one, two, three. Then we go back to the C major chord. One, two, three, one, two, three. So it'll be like this with the melody. Then back to the C major chord. Do that for one more time. Then back to C. Let's put that all together. So from the beginning. Next part B to C. Now we go to the F chord, playing the A note in the right hand. So back to the C chord. Um Uh go back to the F chord, repeating it again. And see. Okay. This part here, we're going to have some new chords now. I'll show you. So G chord with the D. So now the new chord is the G sharp diminished. All we got to do is move our little finger up once. So up here to the G sharp, that'll be on the F note. So then we go to the G sharp diminished. But that. The next part is Then E and D, but D major. So D A. Okay, let's do it from that part. So here. Okay, I want you to practice that? I'll do it slower. All right, so work on that. Let's put it all together from the beginning. Okay? So from the very beginning. It's the first section. Next section. Now the next part. So back to F. Now, the new part. Then to G shop Cord then go to D major. Then last part is. Then it goes to G. Back to C. One more time. So C major. Then it goes to G major. Then back to C major. I'll see you next as I share the base with the cords. 37. Demo - Silent Night (Bass and Chords): [No Speech] 38. Silent Night (Bass + Chords) : So So we are now moving the chords from the left hand to the right hand, and we are playing the bass notes the same way we played previously. I'm going to play it, then I would like to play after me, okay? So the first part is Si, Knight. How Knight. Okay, so every chord, you're holding down for three counts, so one, two, three, one, two, three, one, two, three, one, two, three. That's the first part. Okay? So so Si learn. H then. Then we go to the G major chord. So in your right hand, that'll be GBD, right with the base note G. So all is calm. Then back to the C major chord. A is bright. Okay, then go to the F major chord. F major twice. Then back to C major. Then again, C major. Let's stop there. Let's go to the very beginning. I don't want to go too fast for you, okay? So let's do it from the very beginning. Si, Lent NH Len then to G is C then is B, then go to the F chord. F chord twice, back to C cord. Then F twice. Then C twice. Then the next part, which is G major chord, so go G major. Now, remember the G sharp diminished? Let's put your finger up on the G sharp, diminished note, and the cords put your thumb up once. Then go to A minor. Then go to D major. But now I'll play D major as F sharp AD in your right hand. Oh. Okay, then C major. Then back to G major. Then back to C major. So to help you with the bass and the chords, try singing or just saying the words as you're playing it. So well done in completing this song, and I hope you have fun, learn this song. 39. Outro: On the completing this course that has been great teaching you. I hope you've learned these Christmas songs, and I hope you're gonna play them to your family and friends on Christmas Day.
