1. Grok introduction for the Course : Two unlock Grock. So Grock three is
an AI assistance, an exciting AI assistance
produced by the company xi.com, which is Elon Musk, one of Elon MS companies. In this course, you're going to learn the core
features of Grock. How does it compare to the
competition like HATUBT, Deep Seek, Microsoft
copilot, and so on. And you're going to
learn how to use this for analytical
applications, whether it's analyzing
Excel workbooks to come up with
exciting insights, whether it's generating
images, creating eBooks. And the part that I
like, it's actually creating retro
arcade games using Grock to generate
the code to plug into other applications
like VoltagNw, which is an AI
coding application. But don't worry. This course is for beginners that
are curious about AI. It's for creative
professionals who want to get exposure to how AI tools can help you enhance
what you already do, whether it's generating images, doing research for videos
or even creating eBooks. It's also for advanced
professionals that want to get exposure to how you can use Grock to help you enhance your
productivity and innovation. And maybe you're
interested in EI coding, and you want to
scratch the surface of what Grock three can do, whether it's creating games
or basic applications. My name is Greg Kong. I'm
a Canadian content creator of over ten years, a former IT manager, and I produce a couple of
courses on generative AI. I've got an AI coding
course and a generative AI course that teaches you how
to use AI to create videos, audio, texts, and I've got exposure to the other
AILMs like Chat GBT. We're going to start
off this course by exploring what
Grock three is, how to compare to
the competition, we're going to do
sample prompts. We're going to do deep research, and we're going to go into
practical applications like learning how
to create eBooks. We're actually going
to create the games. And lastly, you're
going to create your capstone
project where you're going to take all
that you've learned and produce your own project. If this sounds exciting, I look forward to teaching
you inside the course, and we're actually filming this live from Bangkok, Thailand.
2. Tour of Grok & Pricing: Alright, here we are at x.com. I'm logged into my account. And you see this button
on the top right, upgrade to premium plus. This will give you an idea
of the different plans. So as a Canadian, I pay around $8 a month. So that gives you access to use Grock three with
increased limits, as you can see here, and
things are changing. So what you see here may be different by the time
that you watch this course. So actually using Grock three, it said there you can use Grock three with some
limits for each day. But as a premium user, you get additional benefits. So let's actually go
down to the table. So just briefly,
as a premium user, you get less ads, you get a larger reply boost, which means you get more
visibility on x.com. You get a checkmark, which just differentiates
you from a free user, and there may be monetization
benefits as a creator, which as a content creator is something that
I'm interested in. So let's just actually
go to the table here. So we'll focus on premium
and premium plus, and we'll focus on
the Grock AI section. So you can see
here for Grock AI, your usage limits are
higher premium plus, you get the highest so
you actually see here deep search and T. So Deep search connects
to the live Internet, and for any prompt that you do, it really goes through and
searches the entire Internet at searches x.com to come
up with valuable insights. So you can see
here Premium plus. It gives you check
marks for both, and you get access to
the newer features. But as a premium user, I actually get limited
usage to Deep search, so I can use it a limited
number of times for prompts, and I'll show you
how that works. So just to summarize, it's about $8 a month
Canadian for premium, which is what I have
now Premium plus, which is 46 Canadian. We'll give you access to
the highest uses limits, early access to new features, and a lock deep
search and thick. So let's just close this out. And I'll show you where
to find Grock on x.com. Now, remember you can download the dedicated app
on your mobile. So here we are on Grock
three right here. So you can see that there's a button for deep
search and think, and there's an
attach if you want to attach a PDF or an Excel. Just note that there are some limits on what you
can actually upload. So you can upload a huge file like 10 gigabytes,
that type of thing. And here you have
the Enter button. So deep search,
like I mentioned, is to deep dive into a topic, have well reasoned answers, and think helps you solve the hardest problems
in math science and coding. So when we get to
the the section on where we learn
how to create games, I'll show you how to use a
deep search and think mode in conjunction together to help you create code and
eventually create a game. We'll use the attached
feature when we're going into an Excel upload to
do workbook analysis. So let's just do a
simple prompt here. And since I'm in
Bangkok Thailand, I'll just ask it a
simple question here. Why do people travel
to Bangkok Thailand? Enter so what we're going to do here is compare just the basic prompt
to deep search. So we're done already. So
we have a good answer here with eight points, the food, the rich culture and
history, affordability, shopping, the night life, and gateway to Thailand. I can tell you it's
really modern here. The Wewer Cork
spaces are amazing, and the rooftop bar
scene is great. And you can see here below that you have some
additional prompts, like further prompts
that you could use. And Grock three, like
most AI systems, it will remember the context, so the previous
questions you answered. So if we just click this, tell me about Thai
festivals. You can do that. Explore Travel Chat
Ma, I can click that. So it'll automatically
put that prompt in using the context of
your previous question. You also have some
icons here, thumbs up, thumbs down if you want to
give feedback to Grock. You can copy whatever the output is and then just put it in
word and email, et cetera. This icon here is regenerates. So maybe you don't
like the answer or sometimes it
fails very rarely, and you can regenerate. And here you can actually share you can share
using a link. And if you share it to a friend and they
don't have Glock, they can actually
read the full answer. I've tested that out. You can post a link on x.com, and you can send through a direct message to
another Grock User. So now I'm going
to do deep search, and we're going to ask
the question again. So the way we can tell you've got deep search
is that it's highlighted. So I'm going to press Enter, and you're going to see
the difference here. Grock three takes
a bit more time to come up with the answer, and it shows you the sources. So for example, over here, culturtrip.com, everywhere.com. I can actually expand
this window out by clicking here if you
want to see more. And if you click this icon, you can actually
see the thoughts of Grock three while it's
coming up with the answers. So it's searching 33 web pages. So Well comes up with an answer. You would use deep research if you really want to deep
dive into a topic, and just remember,
you can only use a limited number of
times as a premium user. So I try to use it sparingly. So I'll just show
you the output. We've got our key points and it actually has a hyperlink for cultural and cultural
and historical attractions. And what I like about deep search is that it'll
actually create a table, so it's very easy to read and just take a glance and
get your answer, right? And it's got
citations over here. So you can actually copy this. You can put it in a Word doc or you can create a PDF
and actually just take your time to read the response from Grock
because it is very detailed. So that is a major difference with a regular prompt
and deep search. So let's just use the T mode. So think mode is
more analytical. Compare the trouble statistics between Bangkok and in New York. So now I've got Think mode. It's probably not
the best example. This is probably better used
for reasoning and code. But anyways, you're going to see how we can use
the think mode because it is there. And then after, I'm
going to just do a quick prompt showing you
how I can produce an image. And also, we'll do a
quick PDF upload so we can at least get a taste of
just the core features here. Alright, so we've
got our output here. Bangkok welcome 25.79
tourists in 2023. New York received 11.8. All right, so let's come up with a pretty good summary here. So I just want to
show you if you want to look at your
previous prompts, you may come up with a lot of different prompts over time. You can on the top
right over there. You can access your history. You can create a new chat if you want to
create a fresh chat. So let's go into the history. So you can see all
my prompts here. You can see I've been
very busy using Grock, and I can actually bookmark
some of my prompts here. Fun fact, I actually created a game on the
airplane trip here, so let's just say I
want to save that. I can click the Bookmark icon. And I can recall that later. I can rename, I can delete it. I can actually search
my Grock history. So fun fact, I use Grock to help me produce
the course outline, so I can search for a course. And I can find that
prompt. All right. So it fetched my prompt for me. So the top right area
is quite useful. So I can I can bookmark it. I can search my history. I can look at previous
image generations that I've created before. And we can create a new chat. So let's create a new
chat and create an image. So I'm going to just
take off the thing. Draw an image of Elon
Muss sipping a drink on a rooftop bar in
Bangkok. All right. So with the images here, you may get two to four images
that you can choose from. You have the option
to download it. You can edit it using Grock, and then you can do a download. So here we go. These are
pretty realistic, actually. Okay, so you can see here we have the ability to download, see if save the image as a JPEG. See how we can copy the image. Let's just say we want to copy it to a word dock or something. And we can post the image. Elon Musk in Bangkok.
We can edit it. So just a note, I posted that image of Elon, but I have 1 hour to make any edits, which is interesting. So there's a lot of
changes happening here. So I'm going to do an edit here, and I'm just going to say, give Elon my sunglasses and a mega hat and
younger looking skin. So this is taking the
existing image and then I'm reiterating, making
further adjustments. So we got four choices here. I think, this one, let's just, that looks a
bit unnatural, actually. Make so let's edit this. So let's click in. Make
the sun glasses smaller. And I may takes a bit
of patience and time. Grock three doesn't
always get it right. But just say I like this.
I want to download it. I'll just click the
down arrow icon and then I'll save it as a JPEG. So that's images. Lastly, let's just go through the attach. So I'll click the attach
icon on the bottom right. Just go to attach one of
the E books that I created. Uh actually, let's just
create a new chat here. So I've attached
the file already. Analyze this PDF and
give me the summary. So maybe I want to
use the Tk mode here. Actually, let's just go with
the default without Tk. Alright, so I've uploaded a PDF, I've asked to analyze this
PDF and give me a summary. So this is an eBook about
Donald Trump's life, and I think it's over 30 pages, so I may take some time. Below is a summary of the documents based on
the provided OCR content. So summary, Chapter
one, Chapter two, Chapter three. Very good. It actually gives key
points and a conclusion. So very good there. All right, so that concludes our
introduction of Grock three. We went over the basic plans. We went over some sample
prompts, using regular prompt. We use deep research
mode. We use think mode. We created an image. We also attach a PDF, and then we went through some basic features
on the top right, our bookmarks, our history, how to create a new chat, how to regenerate
prompts, how to share it. So I think you're in
a good position now to do some more
practical applications. So we're going to
go on the screen, and we're going
to do things like attach an Excel workbook and
do an advanced analysis. Then we're going to go create
the eBook that we spoke about using the deep research
mode and reiterating. And then we're going to get
into a more advanced project. Using deep research,
deep search and think to create code that we're going to use to create
a retro arcade game, and then you're going to create your capstone
project. So let's go.
3. How to Access Grok: Okay, let's go
through the basics. How do you get access
to Grock three, and what are the plans? So as of March 2025 and
things are changing, you can download xdot com on
your mobile or your desktop. You can actually download the Grock three Beta app on IOS. It might be available on Android by the time you watch this. And if you're on xdot com, I'm going to walk you through where you can actually find it. And there are different plans. So there's the $8 plan, which gives you more
access to do prompts, to do deep research and
use the think mode. And there's other
benefits as well, which we'll go through when
we cover the plans on x.com. And as a creator myself, there were additional
rewards if you reach certain thresholds
that you can actually monetize on your content, you get the blue check mark. But if you want to try
out rock three for free, starting off, there
is a free plan that will give you a limited
number of messages. So we're going to go
on the screen and just walk you through what
some of these features are, what the actual costs are. So let's go on screen right now.
4. How to create an ebook: Alright, we're gonna
try to create a book on Donald Trump and the Life and history
to where he is today, as well as the partnership with Elon Musk and the Tech bros. Let's
see what we can do. Alright. Write an eBook for my 16 hour plane ride on
Let's just take away that, right An eBook Life and
history of Donald Trump from child to business magnet to current exceeding presidents also include a chapter on the various romances
and offspring also include a chapter on his love and
contribution to golf also include a chapter
on all the towers and properties he has created include a chapter
on the apprentice. C a chapter on the near assassination attempt,
Assassination attempt. I misspelled that. Chapter on the
partnership Elon Musk and formation of Doge Clue a I think that's
it's a good start. Let's just copy that prompt. We'll put it into deep
search mode, and let's go. All right, let's expand this
deep search dialog box. Maybe we'll include a chapter on the current current
peace negotiation for ending the war in
Ukraine as the last chapter. So this book this
book is Uber current. Okay, we'll also
include a chapter on his legacy. Okay,
so let me start. Include a chapter on his legacy and his place in
history to date, include a chapter on
his current attempt to negotiate peace
and a cease fire doesn't seem like
a very long book. On the with the
Ukraine and Russia. Include a chapter
on his Influence on cryptocurrency to date include a chapter influence on Canada. To date including Justin
Trudeau Canada as a 51st state and imposing tariffs on
Canada and Mexico. This doesn't look like
a very long book. Okay. Okay, so we can actually
read the thoughts on Deep search. Okay. It says, In our real world, he's not president in 2025. Looks like the AI
is confused here. No. Looks like Grock
is hallucinating. Looks like it doesn't
have real time doesn't have real
time information. Okay, let's put
it on think mode. Can you flush out these chapters flush out elaborate. Okay, let's just expand the box. So what I'm going to do here
is prepare a new Google Doc And maybe we'll include include that latest video. Okay, these chapters
are pretty short. Let's just see how
much we got here. Seven pages. Can you create a chapter less and elaborate on each chapter to be at least ten pages long. Okay, maybe that's
too much to ask. Five pages or more. If you have enough contents. Okay. Okay, this looks Each chapter elaborated
to three pages long. Chapter one to three means to be expanded on please take off the think. Looks like Grock has given up. Try again. Alright, it looks
like we're not going to get enough material. Expand Chapter 12. This is good. Okay, this is Chapter 12. Let's see if we can just do it from 4211. Okay. Done. Let's see how it did. Okay, did a good job. Okay, so two chapters at a time. So we have ten and 11. So I just have to do a little
bit of word massaging. Okay. Let's take this See, look at the expanded version. Okay, now let's see. Chapter one, two, and
three is good, four. Chapter nine and five. Let's do this one at a time. All right. Finally
getting some output. It seems to be struggling here. It's got a lot of sources, but it's just not
a lot of content. But it's citing the sources. So if you have Internet access, this could be an interesting
online, offline book. It. All right, so I would add
this to Chapter four, actually. Okay. I'm just going to
create a quick cover. Okay. Draw a course
image for this book. Draw a course image
for this eBook. Okay. This one
looks pretty good. Let's throw this on here. So we have. What we don't have is a
course book title. Design a cover and e book title. We had something there. I
don't know why it failed. Let's retry. There we go. I Okay, I mean, this could use some work, but
I think you get the idea. Create puts the
overlay the title. Overlay the title top of the
image and remove the eagle. This AI doesn't want to listen. Okay, we'll just
take this for now. This is taking a lot more
time than I thought. This is called the Trump legacy. Let's insert an image
and we're good. This is hard work. Download to PDF. There we go. Alright, so the recap created a short eBook
on Trump's legacy. So pretty interesting
chapters on his life, transition to politics,
marriages and children, golf. Real estate, TV stardom, assassination attempts,
place in history, negotiating peace with
Russia and Ukraine. Influence on Crypto, influence on Canada with some citations. It's definitely
far from perfect. I found that you have to expand each
chapter individually. And yeah, all that
work for 28 pages. So there's a lot
more work to go. We actually aired out
Grock a few times. But, um Yeah, I actually
have to read this, and, you know, it
keeps the prom, so it's a work in progress. Hope you enjoyed this
creating eBook with Grock.
5. Using grok for games: Okay, so this is going to be the start of our section on
AI coding games with Grock. So let's start off with the tools that we
need. So we need rock. We're going to be
using the deep search mode to do the research. So we're going to highlight
the deep research. We're going to ask it to create code in a particular format. And then we're going
to take that research, and then we're going
to ask it to create some code that we can isolate that's not dependent on any platform using
the think mode. And then we're going to
copy that output and put it into an AI
coding platform. So for this course, I'm going to be
using Bolt Dot Nu, and I do have a course
just on this topic. So we're just going to scratch the surface of Bolt Dot Nu. Basically, it's an AI
coding platform which has its own prompt,
but for the input, you can use the output
from Grock as the input for the code that you're going to use in
this EI coding platform. And out of that, we're going to get our first
version of the game, and then we're going to
try to modify or iterate the output of our app because
just to set expectations, you're not going to get
it right the first time. It's going to take
several iterations to get a working
version of your game. And then we're
going to deploy it. So those are
basically the steps, the overview of what we're
gonna do in this section. So let's get started. So here's an example. Create a Pac Man game in HTML five. So I was doing the research, and we have it on
deep research mode. Here is a complete
standalone P five JS code to create a basic Patman game. It even gives you the URL that we already at
editor dot p fivejs.org. Okay, we're going
to copy this code, and just keep in mind here that I'm pretty much
doing this live. I'm going to just hit Return a couple
times for a fresh line. I'm going to paste the code in. And then I'm going to
press the Play button. So you can see here we've got kind of a working
version over here. We can see the Pac Man,
and I'm actually moving through and eating
up the pellets, and it's increasing
my score. Game over. So right there, you're
seeing how I can create a game from scratch. So we have used the P five JS, which doesn't
require any account. Bolta New does
require an account, and you do get some free usage. You should have
enough free usage to do what I'm doing right here. I have a paid subscription. I'm going to ask it to create the Pac Man game
using P five JS. Here is the code, shift, return, and then pace, and then we're
going to hit G. So very similar to what
we did in P five JS, but Blot use a more
powerful applications. So I'm expecting something that's a bit more polished or at least an MVP or first version
that we can modify to create something that's more
polished than the P five JS, which is not bad, actually. It's not bad. I mean, we can actually move around
here, eat pellets. The advantage of both on us, you can add music and sound. Alright, here's our
game. Looks like it's created a
duplicate version. But, yeah, if you watch
the follow up lessons, you'll you'll see how we can
add music, sound effects, polish it, and eventually
deploy a Pacman game or a game that you can apply to polishing this first
version of the game. But I basically recorded
this entire lesson live, creating a retro game using
Grock to provide the code, and then plugging it into
Bol T New and P five JS.
6. Using Groke to Analyze Sheets Income Reports: Alright, so here's an actual practical
application for Grock. So I keep a record of my online
revenue and expenses for the year broken down by different categories like stock footage or
teaching online. And I'll just show you how I break it down
at the end of the year. So I broke it down
into US and months. But what I don't have is
different categories. So I want to see if
Grock has the ability to parse a spreadsheet
and give me the insights. So I've downloaded
the spreadsheet. I'm going to create a new chat. And then I'll upload
the spreadsheet. Can you analyze my earnings for 2024 and break down the earnings for stock footage and online teaching
for the year. Let's just copy the prompt. All right. And so it's broken down my
stock footage earnings. Let's just say let's just
compare these numbers. So October, we have
1,000, that's correct. Okay. And let's go to online
teaching earnings. And you can see it's actually doing a good job breaking
down the teaching total, which is very
useful information. So let's just double check this. So February 331, 197 for Demi 331, 197 for Demi. So that's correct. Okay. Okay, I notice that
there is a gap in income and additional
income sources which came from other streams like video editing and
a referral income. Okay. Observations. Your biggest
earner came in October, driven by Pawn five and Yeah, it's given a
good analysis here, but your business thrives on
stock footage with teaching is a strong secondary stream. So what this has shown me is that it can definitely
read an Excel spreadsheet. It can analyze it can analyze the data in
the spreadsheet. And it's given me
some observations. Now, I'm going to ask it which stock agency performed
the best in 2024 for me? Let's see if it's smart
enough to do this. Wow. Well, it's smart
enough to figure out what the different
agencies are. Scan the entire spreadsheet
on the different tabs, and summarize the earnings
Pawn five just below 2000. So save me a lot of
spreadsheet math. Okay, so top
performer, Pawn five, Adobe stock, black
box, shutter stock. Okay. Pawn five
was my top earner. Okay. How does this How do my stock footage
earnings compared to those reported online? Let's see if we can now analyze spreadsheet to
the industry standards. So it's taking up
taking all my data. Okay? Who is Matt Johnson? Got 10,000 for 2024. Okay, another guy has reported
795 just for October. Okay, general industry trends, beginners 50 to 500 a year, mid tier one to 5,000. That's where I'm at. Top
earners ten to 50,000. Wow. In mid tier, I'm
in the sweet spot. All right. This is a really good analysis. So now I'm going to ask you to analyze my online teaching. You analyze my online
teaching earnings on demi and Skillshare how this stacks up against the industry All right. Let's see if it can do the
same for online teaching. Okay, so it's just
breezing through the numbers the numbers
on my spreadsheet. Okay, and it's broken it down. Udemi and Skillshare. So Udemian Skillshare account
for 64% of my income. Okay. Average Udeman structure
earns 3,000 a year. The low side is 1,000 and
only 1% exceeding 50,000. Top earners earn up to
100 k to 1 million, but this is rare. H. Okay. I was being honest here. Wow, it's analyzed that
I've got 29 courses. Okay, now, for Skillshare, wow, it's based
on minutes watch. Skillshare, top teachers
earning 3,000 a month. Most instructors report
200 to thousand a month. Top earners earn 100,000 a year. Okay, my performance, 653 solo for mid tier
instructor with 43 courses. Okay, I'm above Newby range, but below top earners. Okay. Observations. A lot
of your Demi students. My per course earnings are low. Adding courses in
tech or trending creative skills could push me towards 5,000 10,000 a year. Alright. This is very impressive. By Grock taking my
spreadsheet earnings and giving me an
in depth analysis, doing the calculations, and comparing it against
industry standards. Very impressive. And I can
see how this could help for not only, you know, doing income earnings analysis, but for counting type jobs, you know, anything at work
involving spreadsheets. I just breeze through
my spreadsheet. It's very impressive.
So hopefully you found this video
lesson helpful.
7. Applying photo Filters using Grok - Ghibli Filter: Alright, so April 2025, the current trend with HGBT is to apply
the Ghibli filter. So it's sort of like a Japanese anime style
applied to a photo. And I'll try to show
you an example. So this is using Grock. You can actually
apply this filter to Grock where everyone
is using CHGBT and CHGBT has been
saying that they're having trouble keeping up with the demand is
melting the servers. But yeah, let me
just show you on Grock three here,
what we can do. I'll just show you a photo here. Let's do this one. Let's just do a new chat. So Grock three is by x.com, and we're going to attach
that photo we just saw. And then I'll just put
the prompt to apply a Gabi filter to this photo. Okay, let's do that.
Let's see what we get. And while I do that, I'll just show you some other
filters that you can apply, and then we'll compare
that to Cha chiBT. All right, so
pretty, pretty good. Pretty good. So now I can download this. It's not bad. I can actually thumbs
up. I can share it. I can do a post
straight from this. But I can also edit this. So let's just say give the guy a micro Guy paddle. A pickleball paddle. Holding it as a microphone. It's okay. And let's see what
it does there. I also wanted to the
colors a little bit. It is a bit flat. But let's go with that first. So you get two variations. And the advantage of using
Grock is that, you know, it's a bit faster to
generate this, actually, because I think Chachi BT is
what people are using most. So yeah, it's just
taking longer. This is pretty good. This is pretty good. So I'm gonna download that
because I like it. And now to share it, I can actually just
post this and say, you can actually apply the filter GibiPhotoFlters and oxeryGib There we go.
8. Summary: Alright, thanks for taking the Grock three
course on lock Grock. Grock three is one of the newest AI chat LMS is also
one of the most exciting. The clear advantage
that it has is the ability to tap
into x dot coms data, whether it's the post from Donald Trump and to
the live Internet. The deep research
mode is amazing. It cites the sources.
It does a thorough job. And the Tability does a
great job at creating code. We've also explored some of the creative functions to
create eBooks, create images. And a whole lot more
creating the games. So we scratch the surface
on Grock three and AI. If you're interested in
EI coding on bol dot NU, I've got a course on
that that will take you from beginner to
an advanced level. We also have generative
AI courses if you want exposure to other
EI applications, whether it's audio, video, image generation, and
other EI applications. Thanks for taking this course, and I hope to see you
in another one. Bye.
