1. Introduction: Hello everybody. My name is Emmett wholesaler and this is my Photoshop course for beginners. First of all, let's start with the basic question. What is Photoshop? Photoshop is a software that allows you to create images. It's a tool used for improving images scholars and removing floors, retouching, combine and create compositions, graphic design, concept art, digital art, and even animation. Photoshop is considered the industry standard for most researchers, graphic designers and digital artists and learning it will be very beneficial for you. This is a beginner course, so you don't need to have any prerequisite knowledge. And know that when you first open the software, things might seem scary or intimidating, but don't worry, step-by-step, you will learn all the basics of Photoshop. But I must tell you in advance that this course is different from other courses and my method differs from other instructors. This is not a course where you can just sit down, watch and absorb information. No, you don't really learn anything that way. Instead, I want you to learn by doing, in this course, you will see me do various exercises. And with every new exercise, we're going to discover a new tool or a new technique in Photoshop. And I will give you the link from which you can download all the exercise files. That way every exercise you see me do here in this course, you will be able to do it yourself at all. We will start with simple and easy exercises. Then as we advance, things will gradually become more and more challenging. But it's very important that you do the exercises and I can't stress this enough if you're blending to just watch the course the same way you watch Netflix, then you probably shouldn't waste your time. You can just watch basketball games on TV and become a basketball player. You have to work and practice, practice and repetition. That's the only way you can get good at anything. And with that said, welcome to the course.
2. Exercise Files : Okay, so first thing we need to do is to copy this link right here. Press enter, which is going to take us to this page. Then it's very simple. You click this button to download all the files we need for this course. We see the downloading has begun. Wait for some time and once it's finished, you will find this compressed file. You right-click. You'll press extract here. Wait for some time, and here it is. This folder contains all the files you're going to need for this course.
3. Get Started : So let's get started. First of all, we need to open the Photoshop application. And here we find all the recent projects I've worked on. Then if we want to open a project, we opening just simply by clicking. But we're not gonna do that. We're going to start a new project. To do that. Very simple. We go to create new Glick. Here we have the different settings and options for our project. The width, the height, the resolution, or many pixels per inch, and other things. Background content. And once we have our settings, we click on Create. And here is our new project on your file. It's called untitled one. For now. First thing you need to do whenever you open your project, you need to save it. To do that, very simple, you go to File, Save, As, Let's call it white. White, and click on Save. We go back to the desktop and we find out just right here. If we want to close the file on Photoshop, we click on the X button here and it's gone. You want to reopen the same file. Click on Open. Choose white. And open. Here it is. Again. We want to open another file. We go to File Open and black. Select this file. We click on Open. And here we have the two projects open. At the same time, we can switch between the two by clicking. Let's say we want to save this image, this black image. The easiest way to save, you go to File Export. Quick Export as PNG will give the same name black. And we press Save. Go back to the desktop, and here's our image. So black will go back to Photoshop. Let's do the same thing with the white file. File. Export, Quick Export as PNG. And let's name it as the block. Now, what? Click on Save and go back to the desktop. And here's the other file. The white image. Of course this is, I said earlier, the easiest way to export, but there are other ways to export.
4. Moving Around : So let's say we want to open an image and this image, for example. We want to open it in Photoshop. How do we do that is very simple. We go to Photoshop. File, open. Select our file, select the image and open again. And here it is. Another way to do the same thing is to simply drag the image, just like the, drag the image and job. And here we find our image. Let's say we want to zoom on this image. You want to see some details. How do we do that? We'll click on this tool, the Zoom tool. Or we can choose the shortcut, which is the z letter. Press Z. And we choose this tool, the Zoom tool. We select the plus. And we click, click again, click again, click again, live again. The more we collect, the more we zoom. If you want to zoom out, do the opposite. Click here. We can see the minus sign. Click, click, click, click. Plus, we zoom in, we zoom out. Another way to zoom is to use the shortcut, which is Control Plus Plus controlled girls, controlled bloods Control Plus. If you want to zoom out, control mine's scheduled minus, control minus. Okay. If you want to zoom out to the original size of the image, we'll click Control and 0. We go back to the starting point. How do we navigate this image? Let's say we zoom in several times and we never want to navigate your own to move around. In this image is very simple. We press the space and we can see there's a hand now. And we use the mouse and maintain the space bar. We don't let go the space bar. And we move around as we won't Zoom some more. And with the space bar, we move around and see every detail we want. Control 0. And we go back to the initial point.
5. Crop : Exercise 1: So we need to open the exercise files, go to grow up exercise 1. And here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna start with this image, the file one image and crop it, turn it just like this. A square image with just these three lines. And we're going to remove all the rest. So we're going to do that. Go to Photoshop, file open. We select the file we need open. Then we're going to need to use this tool, the crop tool. And you can see already what it does. Click. Once we click, we can change the image. We can modify the size of the image however we want, can make it smaller like this. We can make it big. We can move the image around like this. We can do whatever we want. But that's not really the shape we need. That's a rectangle shape and we want a square shape. To do that. Very simple. We go here and we choose square, the one-to-one ratio, square. And you see, now we have a square shape. Would make it a little bit bigger. Just like this. Move the image a little bit and I think it looks good. I think it looks good. Once you finish, you go to this button and you click. You can also press Enter. It's basically the same thing. You go do the exercise and don't forget to save.
6. Crop : Exercise 2: We move to the second exercise, Exercise 2. And in this exercise, we're going to start with this file. We're going to crop it. But this time with a rotation. You're going to turn this into this. Okay. Go to Photoshop, file, open 51. And opening it. Same to the crop tool. We go here. We choose the square shape. Now we have a square and makes things we need to do is to rotate the image. I'll do we do that. We go to the corner. You can choose any corner, this one or this one. This one. Go to the corner and you can see that the cursor has changed. You can see the cursor is not the same. You click maintain and you rotate. Just like this. Until the shark, it's completely vertical. This like this, and you let go. And I think it looks good. I think it looks good. You click on this to apply the crop. And it's done. You go do the exercise and don't forget to save.
7. Crop : Exercise 3: And now we move to the third exercise, will open exercise 3, and we're going to apply some modifications to this image. There is something wrong with this image because it's a little bit tilted. There is a tilt here. It wasn't properly photographed. The ground should not be this way. The grant should be perfectly horizontal. So we're going to turn this picture to this picture. We're gonna correct What's wrong. We go to Photoshop file, open, open our picture 51. And we go and use the crop tool. This time we're going to use a tool inside the crop tool, which is the straighten tool. We click just right here. We go to the part that should be straightened or should be horizontal. And we, with the mouse we maintain and we draw a line. Joe line is like this. And then we let go. See, now the ground is horizontal. We corrected what's wrong with the image? If you were not satisfied, you can always makes some like little bit. You can rotate it a little bit just like this, like three degrees. And let go. Once you're satisfied with the result, you go and apply the crop. Click here, and it's done. You go do the exercise and don't forget to save.
8. Brush : Explanation: In this lecture, we're going to learn about a brushes. To use the brush tool, we need to go to the toolbar and click right here. Once we click, we can go here and choose any brush we want to. There are many brushes that come with Photoshop. Then we can choose and click. But for now we're going to keep the regular brush. And we can start to draw on the canvas just like this. If you want to undo anything in Photoshop is very simple. You go to edit, undo, edit, undo, edit, undo. But the easier way to undo is use the shortcut Control Z, control Z, control Z. You can also make the brush bigger. You're going to increase the size just like this. And draw. Or you can make it very small just like this. Depending on what you want to go. You can also change the hardness of the brush. And I'm going to show you the difference and what the hardness does. We're going to increase the hardest to a 100 percent and draw a line. And now we're gonna do the opposite and drop it to 0%. And Joe, another line and you can see clearly the difference between the two. Support it back to 50. You can also change the color of the brush by selecting any color you want from me. Or you can click on the color box just right here. And choose any color you want. Selected, you click on OK and you can start with the coloring shows. If you want to erase anything from the gametes, you use the eraser tool. Click on the eraser tool, and you can start to erase. Just like this. Until it's gone. You can also change the size of the eraser and the hardness of the erase. Just like that.
9. Brush : Exercise 1: And now we're going to practice the brush tool by doing an exercise. It's a very simple exercise. What we're going to do is to paint a Canvas just like this. It's very simple. We have a green ground, blue sky, green ground. There is the sun here. There is the tree, there is the shadow of the tree and some grass. On the right and on the left. We close this image. We go to Photoshop. First step. First thing we need to do is to paint the sky with the color blue. This guy is the first element we need to paint. To do that. Of course, we can use the brush tool and paint the entire canvas with the color blue. Or there is a much simpler way we can go to Edit, Fill, click on contents, click on Color, and choose any color we want. In this case, of course, we need the color sky blue. I think this color looks good. We click on Okay. We click on Okay again. And now the entire canvas is filled with the color sky blue. Second thing we need to do is to bend the ground. The ground with the color green. We choose a dark shade of the color green. One thing, this one looks good. And click on, Okay. Click on, diverge to increase the size a little bit. And we can start painting. I think this looks good. Second step, we need to draw the sun. To do that. We need to increase the size a little bit and decrease, we need to decrease the size and decrease the hardness of the brush. Choose the color yellow this time. And click Okay, you go to the corner and we click. I think. I think the sun looks good. Now, we need to draw the tree. First thing we need to do is to draw the trunk. And that's why we need the color brown. We pick the color brown. We make some changes to increase the hardness, decrease in the size. And now we're going to draw the trunk of the tree. You can decrease the size a little bit. We need the trunk to be a straight line. To do that. We have to press Shift and draw vertically, just like this. And we're going to have a straight line. It's not going to go right or left. It will always be a straight line. Second thing, the next thing we need to do is to paint the leaves with the color green. You can choose another shade of green. We need to decrease the size. And for this tree, what we want to do is to draw straight lines. Okay, Let's change the shade of the green. Let's make it a little bit lighter. Like this. We need straight lines to do that. We click on Shift. Click one time with the mouse. We come here another time. And another time. Click, click, click. Click, click, click, click, click, click. Here, we have the shape of the leaves of the tree. What we need to do now is to paint everything inside these lines. We can increase the size. If we need to. See more of the details of the picture, of course, we can always zoom control plus Control plus Control plus. And for more precision, we should always do. Now, our tree is there's a little bit of a blank space. Now it's filled. Okay. Now the tree is complete Control 0. To go back to the original size, what we need to do now is to paint some grass on the left and some grass on the right. But we need the same exact shade of green. We need the same color. We can choose just any type of green to find the exact, the same exact color. What we do is we use this tool called Eyedropper tool. You can see what it does. We can click on any color and pick the same exact color. Use the eyedropper. We click here. You can see I'm into maintaining now. The color is changing. I can click wherever I want. I click here. And this ground, and the same exact color is selected. Now we'll go to our brush and decrease the size. Just like that. And we start by painting some grass. Just like that. And I think this looks okay. We also can we need to remove this part. We want to replace this brown part with the green, the same shade of green. What we can do is press Shift and draw a line, straight line. Just like that. And now we have the sky and the ground, the tree, the sun, and the grass. One last thing we need to do is to Joe and the shadow of the tree. To do that, It's very simple. We choose the color black. We increase the size a little bit, decrease the hardness to 0. The hardest must be set at 0. And we go to opacity and decrease it. Take it from a 100 percent to 50 percent. And then Joe here, the shadow. And you can see because we said the opacity to 50 percent, we can still see what's under. We can still see the trunk and the ground, but it got darker with the color black set to 50 percent opacity. Now our canvas is finished. You go do the same exercise and don't forget to save.
10. Layers : Explanation: Okay, in this lecture we are going to talk about layers. In this file, we have an image of a tree in the ground and there is a sky in the background. Each of these three elements are put separately. Each one of them is on its own layer, just right here we have the tree layer, we have the grass layer, and we have the sky layer. You can click on this I icon to unsee, click again to see. And C. C, and C, C is the layer that's on top is always on the foreground, and the layer and the bottom is always in the background. We can change the order of these layers by simply clicking and drag to the top. And now the order has changed. The grass now is above the tree. We can take this guy and put it on top. And now this guy is in the foreground and covers all the other layers. And go back to here. You can also click on a layer and change the opacity of the layer by clicking here and decreasing the opacity just like this. Until it disappears completely 0%, it doesn't exist. We increase it to a 100 percent and now is completely visible. Same thing you can see what it does. Another thing you can do, working with these layers, you can click on the layer and you can move the layer. You can draw on the layer. You can apply any modification to the layer. You just have to select it first. If you want to protect the layer, you don't want any modifications applied to this layer is very simple. You click this icon, the lock icon, and now you can't join it. If you dried, you can move it. See, it doesn't work. Now the layer is protected. You can't apply any change to the layer unless you unlock just like this. If you want to create a new layer, you go here. This I can create a new layer and you click. Now you have a new layer. You can, you can double-click and rename it to sun. Will go to the brush tool and choose the color yellow. And we're going to draw a sun just right here. And now we have a sun on its own layer. And see, and click again to see. Again. What we can also do. It can group layers together and select them and put them in a group. Just like this, you click on the sun, the sun is clicked. Click Control, press Control, maintain control, and click on the sky. Now, both these layers are selected. And then you go here and click on this icon. And now the two are on their own layer. We can rename the group, double-click and name it Sky. And now we can move the two layers together. Just click on the Group. And now they move together. We can decrease the opacity of the group. And of course it applies to the layers inside. We can do what we want and it will be applied to the two layers. If we want to delete a layer, it's also very simple. We click on the Layer and click on the sun layer, and click on this icon, that delete layer, and now it's gone.
11. Layers : Exercise 1: To learn more about layers, we are going to start by doing some exercises and go to Layers, exercise 1. And here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna start with this image, the table image, the guard images. And we need to get this result. We're going to put these guards on this table. And we're going to put them in order just like this, 12345. Okay. Close this image. We go to Photoshop file, open, select File. And Open. Next thing we need to do. Five. Now, we need to import all the guards. Go to File, Place Embedded, 52, place, Place Embedded file three planes. Then, okay. You have to either click on this button or press Enter. Place Embedded 54. Place Embedded 55. And the last file, 56, plays enter. Okay? First thing we need to do is we need to select these guards one-by-one and spread them out just like this, like this, so we can see the guards clearly. Okay? What we need to do is to rename these cards this way. It won't be confusing for us and we can order them easily, okay? 56, what is 56? Okay, Is it a four chord number four. Rename it for entered. What is file number five? Okay, It's the ACE. Let's call it one. Number 4, we rename it three. Fine. Number 3, we rename it 54. Remember to rename it to now we have to change the order. One, goes to the bottom, then number 2, then number three, then number four, and finally number 5. We start with this card. The a's. Go to the two using the move tool. This tool must be selected. 52. We put it just right here. Three, carbon number 3. And just try to color number 4 and number 5. Just right here. You can move the cards using the arrows if you want for more precision, or you can use the mouse. Okay? Now, we need to move all these cards. What we do is very simple. We can click on this layer, the card number 1, click on Shift, maintain Shift, and then go to layer number 5 and click. And now all the cards between the two are selected. Once all these layers are selected, you can move all five of them and put them in the center of the image, just like this. And that's it. It's not necessary, but you can do it for more organization. You can select all these layers and put them in a group. Select them, click on Create Group. And now all the cards are in this group. We can rename the folder cards just like that. And the exercise is done. You go do the exercise and don't forget to save.
12. Layers : Exercise 2: And now we move to the second exercise. And here's what we're gonna do. We're going to start with these images. And we're going to get this result. We have a man sitting on the table. He has a monkey head. He's wearing sunglasses. They had to sneakers, and there's a poster on the wall just right here. Close the image. We go to Photoshop, file open. We choose file one. And we open. Now. We have this image of the office. Now we have to import all the rest of the elements. Of course, we can go to File and click on Place Embedded, and import one by one. But instead of doing that, we're going to use a method that is much more simple. We're going to select all the elements we need. And drag and drop. And then click Okay, click Okay, click Okay, click Okay, click Okay, click Okay. Now we have all the elements we need. Just right here. Okay? We're going to hide this layer. And we're going to rename these layers so we can avoid any kind of confusion. Okay, this is poster. This is monkey shoe glasses. It's always a good idea to be organized. And the last one, the man, Okay? First thing we need to do is to put the man on the table. So we're going to hide all the rest of the layers and just keep this meant. We use the Move tool. Select the layer of the man. Who's the Move tool. And we put him just right here, which we can see that he is too big. We need to change the size and make him a little bit smaller. How do we do that? We go to Edit and click on Free transform, free transform, and we click. And you can see now we have the ability to make them as small as we want or as big as we want. I think this is good enough. Once we're happy with the size, we click on. Okay. Or we press enter. We move his position or bottom in the center, just right here. And I'll think this looks okay. We show the other layer, the next layer, which is the monkey head. Same thing. We're going to click on Edit and Free Transform or more simple way is to use the shortcut Control T. No, not this one. You have to choose the monkey head control T. And now we can re-size. The monkey had just like that. You go to the corner and you make it smaller and you place it where it needs to be. I think it looks good and press Enter. Next thing we need to work on the hat is that control T and make it small just like this. But we can see that the head is is behind the mortgage. That's not what we want. We want it in front of the monkey edge, so we change the order. We put it here above the monkey ed, and this looks much better. Next thing we need to add is the sunglasses. Just like that. Now we can see the sunglasses Control G, shortcut. We make sunglasses smaller. Okay, we need to put the sunglasses above the monkey Ed. Just like that. Control plus, so we can zoom you space to navigate. Sunglasses Control T. And we need to rotate it a little bit. How do we do that? We go here, we go further and you can see the cursor changed and you, we rotate just like that by clicking and holding. We rotated a little bit. Just like that. I think it looks good. Control 0, you go back to the initial size of the image. Next element we need to work on is the shoe. It is Control T know, you have, you always need to select the layer, nor forget to do that control T. And we make the shoe smaller, little bit bigger, thinking it looks good. I think it looks good. Okay. We did we did the left one, now, we need to do the right one. How do we do that? Of course, we can import the same image again, but we're not gonna do that. We're going to duplicate this one. How do we do that? You can either use Control C, Control V. And now we'll have to. Or a better way to do that. You click on Alt, click on Alt, click on shoe and drag it up or down. It doesn't matter. You drag it and you let go and now you have shoe and shoe copy. You can't see them but because they are on top of each other. But if you move, use the Move tool. And you move Shoe copy, you will see that now we have two copies of the same issue. The thing we need to do now, we can keep it just like that, but now we need to add something like the mirror effect. We need visual to be. When we think of the other direction, how do we do that? Click on Shoe copy or we can rename it shoe to go to Edit, Transform and flip vertical. No, not this one. I made a mistake. Edit transform, flip horizontal, flip horizontal. And now we can see the shoe is pointing to the other direction. We move it a little bit. You can use the cursor and we have the two shoes in his feet. Now, last thing we need to do is to add the poster, which is just right here. We need to add it. We need to add it on the wall. On the wall just right here. My first thing we need to do, Control T and resize and make it look like that. We can make it even smaller. Yeah, I think it looks good. We needed to look just like this. We need to change the shape of the poster so it can look like it fits this wall. Okay. We'll click on Okay. And then we go to edit, transform and then go to distort, go to distort them, go to this corner and go upwards just like that. And we go to the bottom corner and we do the same thing just like that. And I think it looks good. You press Enter to confirm. And there we have our poster. So make it look more more like it belongs on the wall. You can reduce the opacity to a 100 percent to 90 percent. Think this looks little bit better and the exercise is finished. You do the same and don't forget to save.
13. Layers : Smart Object : I want to talk to you now about smart objects. Here in this file, we have two identical layers of the same image, the same man here and here. We have layer one and layer two. We're going to click on layer one. This one, and right-click Convert to Smart Object, Okay, Nothing changed. They still look the same. We are going to select both of them, control 12 and then Control T. And we're going to reduce the size of both these layers. We're going to scale them down just like that and press Enter. Now, we're going to scale them up. We're gonna do the opposite and make them just like this. And press Enter. Now what's the difference between the two? Clearly, this one, the one we convert it to a smart object, didn't lose any quality. Still looks the same, still looks sharp, still looks perfect. But this one lost a lot in quality and it looks horrible. It's all blurry and you can't even identify the main inside. So this is the advantage of smart object. It provides some kind of protection for the layer. Another thing is that once we convert a layer to a smart object, it allows us the option to double-click on it and open it. In another place. Here. We can make some modifications on the smart object. Right here we can, for example, let's say this is ridiculous, but we're going to draw a moustache. For example, is what we call a do. Draw monsters. And file save. We go back to this window and see what we have. It's applied automatically here to this window, to this file, just by changing the smart object. Same thing we can do this, save, and the same thing will apply here. So these are the advantages of a smart object.
14. Layers : Exercise 3: And now we move to the third exercise. And here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna start with this image of the mug, this picture. And we're going to combine the two and make it look like a printed mug. And as we see, it looks very realistic. So we're going to try to do the same thing. Close the image, go to Photoshop file open, and we open the image of the mug. Just like that. Now we have to bring to the picture File, Place, Embedded, place, and here's our image. We resize it just like that. And you place it. We place it in this position. Once we're done, we click on this button. And here's our image. Next thing we need to do, we need to warp the image and make it look like it belongs on the mug, because right now it doesn't look like it belongs on the mug. So to do that, we go to Edit, Transform and click on warp. And now we're going to see what orb does. You take the edge right here and spread it a little bit. And now you press this button to change the angle and you can see what it does. We do the same thing here. Now it's not a straight line anymore. It became circular just like this part. We do the same thing here and make it a little bit wider on the top. And love is smaller on the bottom. The way it looks more realistic. Just like that, I think it looks good. And then we click on Confirm. And now we have our image on the mug and it looks much more realistic. Now, we're going to talk about a blending modes for the first time. And I'm going to teach you, give you an idea about blending modes. Blending mode to change the blending mode of a layer. We go here. And now we can see all the blending modes. I can tell you about what the blending mode modes do, but I'm going to show you what the blending modes do. Now I'm going to change the blending mode each time and you're going to see what it does each time. You get the idea. But for now we're going to choose the multiply blending mode just right here. And click. Last thing we're gonna do to make it more realistic, we reduce the opacity to 95 percent. And now the exercise is finished. You go do the same and don't forget to save.
15. Layers : Exercise 4: And now we move to the fourth exercise and here's what you're gonna do. We're gonna start with this image and grandfather and his granddaughter. This filter right here. And we're going to get an image just like this. We're going to give the image the old picture affect the old photograph effect. Just like this. Close the image. We go to Photoshop file open and we open the image. First thing we need to do, we need to remove all the colors from this image. To do that is very simple. We go to image, adjustments, will go down to desaturate, and we click. Now, all the colors are gone, It's black and white. Next thing we need to do is to bring the other image, the image of the filter. Place Embedded. We choose Phi two and click on Place. We scale up. We make it bigger, just like this. And now what we need to do, we need to make this image fit perfectly the other image. To do that, we have to click on Shift. And what shape does. It gives us more freedom to change the image like this. It allows us to do this, gives us more freedom overall. So we place any damage this way. And then we click on Confirm. We reduce the opacity, the filter to 50 percent, and then we need to change the blending mode from normal to Linear Light. I think it looks good. And we click. You go do the same exercise and don't forget to save.
16. Layers : Adjustment Layers: Now we are going to talk about adjustment layers. To create an adjustment layer, we'll go to this icon. We click right here. And we can see different types of adjustment layers. We're going to see a few today just to get an idea, we're going to click on brightness and contrast. Now we have an adjustment layer just right here. What this allows us to do is to change the brightness just like that, or decrease it just like that. We can also change the contrast this way or do the opposite this way. Just like any layer we can see or unseen. Just like this. Let's delete this layer and create a new adjustment layer. Let's click on Curves. This time I'm going to show you what curves do. Gets darker and it gets brighter. And you can also do this or this. Depending on the image we are working on. Delete. Let's see the vibrance adjustment layer. We go all the way to a 100. And you can see now the colors look much brighter. And here is the opposite effect. The saturation makes the colors saturated. Or we can choose to completely desaturate the image and make it just like that, like like a black and white image. We can see the difference without the adjustment layer and do with the adjustment layer. Another adjustment layer is the hue and saturation. And by changing this cursor, you can see what's happening here. The colors are changing. This guy's getting red, orange, green. We can change the saturation just like that, or do the opposite and desaturated. And we can finally change the lightness. Just like that. If we want to come back to the adjustment layer and apply or make some changes, we can double-click just right here, make the changes we want and go back is very simple. The final adjustment layer I'm going to show you is the black and white adjustment layer. And you can guess what it does. It makes the image black and white. And here we can, we can tweak and make some changes depending on the effect we want to get. You should always play around and see what type of results you get until you're satisfied.
17. Layers : Exercise 5: And now we are going to practice working with the adjustment layers and go to folder layers, exercise five. And here's what you're gonna do. We're going to start with this image of the sky, this image of the grass and trees, and this image of the buret. We're going to combine them together just like this. But we're going to apply modification or an effect to each of these three images. We're going to make the grass and trees verbal just like this. We're going to change the color. We're going to make the sky black and white just like this. And we're going to change the colors of the buret. We're not going to change the colors, but we're going to make them more bright and make the bird more shiny just like this. Okay, We close the image. We go to Photoshop file open. And we started by opening the sky image just like this. Next thing we need to do, Place Embedded and bring the second element is like this. Make it bigger. And the third element, which is the BRD file number 3, make it small. Okay. Now it's in the center and click on Confirm. Now we have the three elements. Now, with the help of the adjustment layer, we're going to try to imply the effect desired. We're going to start by turning the sky from blue to black and white. How do we do that? We go to Adjustment Layer, just right here. We click and we choose black and white. And now the entire image is black and white and not just the sky. And that's not what we want. We want to apply the adjustment layer just to the sky. How do we do that? We change the order of the adjustment layer. We put it just right here. And we're gonna do something else. We're going to breath old, press, Alt and food the cursor between the two layers. Until you see this icon, the cursor changes and it becomes like a square and an arrow. Once you have this cursor, you click once. And now, the adjustment layer is only applied to the layer beneath it. We move to the second element, which is the grass and the trees. Now we need to change the colors of this file right here. How do we do that? We go to Adjustment Layer and we click on hue and saturation, just like this. Now, we start changing the hue until we reach the purple color. Just like this. I think it's perfect. And we click on this. And now we have a purple grass and trees. We do the same thing. We press old. We put the cursor just right here and we click. Now it's only applied to this layer. Third thing we need to do, the third adjustment layer is vibrates. Now we're going to try to make the colors of the parents more right? So we use vibrance. We change the position of the Vibrance. We put it on top, just like this. And double-click. We increase it to the max. Just like this. And we can increase the saturation a little bit. Now we can see the colors are much brighter. But the problem that this adjustment layer is applied to all the layers beneath it, what we only needed to be applied to this buret. So we do the same thing. We click on olds and we click. Now, it's only applied to the bird. Each adjustment layer is applied to the layer beneath it. Now, you go do the exercise and don't forget to save.

In the beginning of this paragraph. We're gonna do the same for this paragraph. And 1 thousand and enter. The text. Looks good. We go to mountaineering. The other layer. We can change the position with the arrows. And here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna add some space between the letters of this title, mountaineering. To do that, we select the text, press, this works, this icon. And go here and change it from 0 to 50. And now look what happens. Now there is more space between the letters. We can take it even to a 100 or 200 and see what's happening. There is even more space now. Go back 250. I think it looks good. And then press Enter. And now the exercise is done. You go do the same and don't forget to save.
21. Text : Layer Styles: And now we're going to talk about layer styles. In this file we have five circles. Each circle is put on a separate layer, so called 123, up to ten. Okay? We're going to start with a circle. One would click on circle warm and do Add Layer Style. Simple. We'll go to this button. We click and we're going to start with Bevel and Emboss. So you can see what it does. We click. And now we have this new window. And you can already see the change that happened in the circle. Now, I'm going to play around, I'm going to change the options of the Bevel and Emboss, going to play around with dev size. So often the angle and all that. And you're going to see in real-time what changes are happening in the circle. I'm not gonna talk much. I just want to show you what kind of effect you can have. Bevel and Emboss. Now it looks like a bunch of like a 3D body. Once you finish, you click on, Okay. And now, as you see here, there is effect and bevel and emboss. You can click on the I to unsee it. Click again and you can see it. We move on to circle number two. Same thing, Layer Style, same, but now we're going to add stroke. We're going to see what happens. Now there is a stroke around so-called opportunity size. Position can be inside or outside or in the center. Depending on what you want, you can change the blending mode, the opacity like that, and of course, the color of the stroke. We can make it red, for example, you can make it green. Choose any color you want. Once you're finished, you click on Okay. And now there is an effect on circle to move on to circle three. This time we're going to add an inner shadow. I think it's self-explanatory. You can see the shadow inside the so-called. I'm going to play around with these options. Distance, Choke size. Now it looks like like a 3D ball has the same effect as a 3D object. Noise. And once you're finished, you click on, Okay. Now we have the effect applied. Want to circle for going to choose Inner Glow. Change the opacity, touching the noise, change the size range. And once you're finished, click on Okay. And let us move on to circle five. This time we're going to choose certain. You can see what kind of effect in their kitchen, the opacity, just like that. Change the end goal, distance size. And once you're finished, click on, Okay. So equals six. This one. We're going to choose color overlay. What this does, it just changes the color of the objects selected, then applies a new color. For example, you can choose the color green. Click Okay. We can play around with the opacity and click, Okay, and now it has a new color, so called 7. We're going to choose Gradient Overlay. You're going to see what it does. Now there is a gradient inside the circle. We can change it. There are many options to choose from. Choose this one, for example, it goes from this color to this color. There are many options to choose from, or we can simply select this color and this color and create our gradient with the colors we select. Click Okay, you can change the opacity. Of course. We can change the angle. We can change it from linear to radial. Two diamonds, you can see the effect and what's happening. Go back to linear. We can change the scale just like that and click OK, circle eight. But then overlaid. Then it's self-explanatory. It applies a bedroom, which is here inside the object. There are options to choose from. For example, this one or this one, this one. And of course, the options are limited here, but we can add our own image, any image we want, and we can apply it as a pattern. That's also an option. And we can do that. We can change the opacity, of course, change the scale angle. Once we're done, click Okay, and now it's applied. Move on to circle 9, outer glow. You can guess what it does. Can see it now because because the glue is white and the background is white, but if we change the color, Let's choose blue. And now you can see there's a blue glow. You can choose orange, same color as the so-called numbers. Normally glow. It looks like like sun. You can increase, decrease neuroplasticity. Spread can play around with that size. Size of the globe, the range. And once we're done, click on OK, and now we have the glow effect, so-called 10. The last one, job shadow. And you can see what it does now let us shadow around the circle. We can change the opacity. You can change the distance of the shadow. You can see what's happening. The spread of the shadow. You can make it like this or like this. Depending on the effect we want to create. And was, we're done. We click on Okay. We can at anytime go back and make some changes to the effect by double-clicking on effect. And now this window reappears and we can make our changes. We can change the opacity of the drop shadow just like this. And click Okay, we can apply more than just one effect. Double-click. And let's say we're going to add an inner glow. And the drop shadow. And the color overlay. The butter. And bevel and emboss, we can apply as many effects as we want and then click Okay.
22. Text : Exercise 3: And now we move to the third exercise. And in this exercise, we're going to start with this file and try to get a result similar to this credit card. Forgot to add the text here, here, here, and here. And we will try to add this effect. Okay? We'll go to Photoshop file, or we can just drag and drop. Now we have 51 just right here. And I'm going to import our reference picture. The credit card. Just like this. We will drop the opacity to, let's say 10 percent. Now we have the reference. We can see where the text should be. And we're going to start creating our text. Go to the Text tool. Okay? The whites is chosen. Arial font. 14. Size is 14 and we create the first text. Business. That thing, there is still much space between the letters. We can draw up into 0, just like this. And go back. Click on Commit. And we can move the text a little bit with the Carol's and pull it just right. You move on to these numbers and do the same thing. Periods of text in this area. And when we start with four zeros, 0000 space, 1234567890, then there is a space. And the space here, we can add, you know what? You're going to add two spaces here, two spaces here, and two spaces you, I think it looks better. We click on Commit. We move with the move to remove the text just right here. And we can leave it here. I think it looks good. Now we move on to the date 1224. We add another text, 12, 24. And we're going to reduce the sun this time to, let's say 24. And then move the entire thing right here. We can make it a little bit bigger. Let's say thirds. I think it looks good. We can mold. It takes a little bit more important, just right here. Now we move on to the name Miller, miller on market. So we're gonna write the text space Miller. We need to reduce the size of this text to, let's say 24. I think it looks okay. Click on Commit and move that takes a little bit and put it right here. We're going to reduce the size of T2 to the same to the same size as the name. From 32, 24, just like that. And now we have all the text we need. What we need to do now is to add an effect. Like it's 3D effect, kind of just like this. We need to add that effect to our text. To do that. Let's hide this reference and go to this text and the numbers on the credit cards and go to Layer Style. First thing, we want to choose Bevel and Emboss. And we need to play around. Okay, We're going to choose this option. Okay, There's glows, contour. I choose this option, the simple option. We're going to set depth to a hundreds. Let's say I pressed Enter, I have to go back. Or even your nodes, a 100180. We can change the size, three or four. I think it looks good. And the softness to warn, let's say, let's set the softness to one. Just like this. We can change the angle. Let's put it in the center. And I think it looks good on the center. No. Okay. I think it looks good. And go to minus 14 and altitude, let's say den. Okay. We chose this Gloss Contour. Keep it the same Highlight Mode, give the same shadow mode, same obesity. And we move on. We move on to the drop shadow, click on job shadow, and now we have this shadow right here. But we need to change the options. We reduce the opacity. We reduce the distance. Here, Let's make it 0 or positive 50 percent. This is 0. Spreads, reduce the spread a little bit. Well, I think terrorism love loans too much. Ten, we set it to five. I think five looks good. You can change the size. We can, we can set the size to five. And we can click on, Okay. Now we have the text with 3D effect. We can even make it look better if we add, if we change the color, my kids, silver color here in our reference, but if we make the numbers with a gold color, I think it will look better. Double-click on effects. Go to color overlay. We can choose the gold color, close to orange, right here. This is the gold color. We can reduce the opacity to let say, 80% and click Okay, now we have gold numbers with 3D effect, with the shadow and bevel emboss. Just like this, three effects, we use three effects. Three layers dies. On this text. We need to do the same thing in this text and this text. How do we do that? Of course, we can start over and do the same thing by creating a layer styles on these layers. But there's a much easier way which is you press Alt, press Alt, click on Effects, and they get from here to the other layer and then draw up. And now it's a blight on this land, some supplied on this text. We do the same thing on this name. Brands old effect and drag and drop. And we've got be the same defect in these three decades. Now the exercise is finished. You go do the same and don't forget to save.
23. Selections : Explanation: In this lecture, we are going to talk about selections. To make a selection in Photoshop, there are many tools we can use. There is, for example, the rectangular marquee tool, and you can see what it does in the picture. There is the Lasso tool. There is the Quick Selection Tool. And if we click here, we can see there are other aids and tools inside. Same thing here, there are other tools and same thing here. There are other tools. For now we're going to use the rectangular marquee tool and we're going to make a selection right here. We're going to select the head of the OLS just like that. And now we have the selection. We have here what we call the marching ends, which means this area is now selected with the mouse. We can move our selection here or here. Whatever we want, we can move it. We can add to the selection by clicking this button or maintaining shift. And now we can add to our selection just like this. I'm gonna go back. We can subtract from selection by clicking this button or using the shortcut Alt. Maintain old, and now there is a minus sign. As you can see, now, we subtract just like this. The final tool, which is the intersect with selection. I'm going to show you what it does. Now. Only the intersection between the two selections wouldn't be selected. Just like this. We can use this tool of course, or we can press shift and all at the same time. And now the duly selected, the intersect with selection tool, we get the same result. What is much easier. Okay, once we have our selection, we're going to draw inside it, for example. And we'll only be applied inside the selection. We can edit fill. We can fill it with a certain color, for example, just like this. Now it's all filled with this scholar. On dough. We can move the entire barred from here to here. And there are many other things we can do with the selection tool. And we're going to see that later in the course.
24. Selections : Exercise 1: And now we move to the first exercise. We're going to start with this file, this file, this file. And we're going to try to get this result. So we're going to put the name of a brand here, the name of the brand year, and the logo of the brand here. And the logo of the brand here. Starting with luxury first, images. Close the image. We go to Photoshop file open and open file. One. File open again. We open file to file open again. And we open file three. Okay? First thing we're gonna do, we're going to take in the name of the brand from here and put it right here. The same thing for Pepsi, you want to do, same thing for Starbucks and Pepsi. Let's start with Pepsi. We go to File to go to the Selection tool, the rectangular marquee tool, and select the word Pepsi. Just like that. Go to the Move tool. Select Move Tool, and go from here to file one, and then drop it right here and pull it in the center. We go to file three, and we do the same thing. Selection tool. Select the word Starbucks. We choose the Move Tool. Go back to file one and drop it. Just like that. Now we have the two names of the two brands under each picture. And that's what we wanted. Each element we brought from the other file is put on a separate layer, as you can see right here. Now we're going to do the same for the logo right here and the logo right here. Go to File too. If you want to deselect Control D. Control D, or go to select and deselect. But Control D is easier because the shortcut is always easier. Now what we're going to do, we need to make a selection of this logo, which is circular shape. To do that, we get used the rectangular tool. We need to use this tool, the Elliptical Marquee Tool. And we let go. Now, this is the dummy selected. We go here. And now we can make a selection just like that. And the shape is always circular, but it's not really a perfect circle. As you can see, we can do this or this. To make it a perfect circle, we need to maintain shift. And now, as you can see, if it can't, it can be deformed. It is always proportional. As you can see. We'll make it about this size. Now we can maintain space. And when we maintain space, we can, we can move our selection wherever we want, just like this, just like this. Make sure you put it inside the logo and then let go. Now, we selected the logo even though it's not really Bourbon, but Okay, It does the job. We do the same thing. Move tool. Take it from here to here and then drop it. Just like that. We put it in the corner of the image. Now we go to file three, control D to deselect. And the elliptical tool. Maintain shift. Maintain shape just like that. Maintain space so you can move around as you want. Just like this. And now we have the selection. We go to the move tool, we can drag and drop, or we can Control C. Go back to phi 1 Control V. And we made the copy and paste Control T. And we can make it a little bit smaller. Free transform just like this. And click on Commit. Now the exercise is done. You go to the same And don't forget to save.
25. Selections : Exercise 2: And now we move to the second exercise. And in this exercise we're going to start with this image, this image, this image, this image. And we're going to try to get this result. We're going to put each logo or these brands in front of the name of the brand. Just like this. Close the photo. Go to Photoshop file open and we select all the files we're gonna need from file 1234. Now, all of them are open here. First thing we're going to do, we're going to bring the YouTube logo and put it just right here. The YouTube logo is in 52. But this time we're not going to use the tool we previously used the Rectangular Marquee Tool. Instead, we're going to use a tool called the Magic Wand Tool. Just right here. Click. And now the magic wand is selected. We go to the USU logo and it's very simple, we just click. And this tool is very smart and practical to recognize all the area and it selects all the area. Then moved on. And we do the same thing we did in the previous exercise. We take it from here and then drag and drop which armpit here. Control D, which is the size a little bit and make it a little bit bigger, just like this. Then click on Commit. Second logo we're going to move is the Twitter logo, which is right here. Same tool, the Magic Wand tool. And we click now, the Twitter logo is selected. Same thing. Dragon job. Right here. Control T will make it a little bit bigger. And commit. Third is the Adidas logo. Right here. Magic want we click will maintain Shift. To add more to the selection. We click and click on again on the third part. Now, the Adidas logo is selected. Once it's selected and go to the move tool, same thing from the ER to drag and drop. And we'll put it right there. And Control T would make it little bit bigger and click on Commit. The fourth logo is the Microsoft logo. Right here. Same thing we did with the Adidas logo. We click once with the Magic Wand. Maintain shift. Click again, maintain shift, click again and click again. Now the entire logo is selected. Same thing. Drag and drop. Control D will make it bigger and commit. The fifth logo is the Instagram logo. This time, we need to control blood. We're going to try using the magic wand to make a selection. But it's very difficult. It's very difficult because it's not just one color in the Instagram logo is a gradient that goes from yellow to red to pink to purple, which makes it a lot, a lot harder to select. And we won't use the Magic Wand Tool. Instead. We're going to use another tool, which is the Quick Selection Tool. And you're going to see what it does right now is very big. It's like a Ben. We need to reduce the size. Just like this. Let's, let's say 77. We choose the quick select tool and then we click here. We maintained. And now the entire logo is selected. Once it's selected, moved on. And we go to file one, drag-and-drop. Just like that, control T will make it a little bit bigger. And then commit. Now the Monster Energy logo, which is in file three. Same thing we did. We notice that there is a gradient color in the monster logo too. So we're going to need to use the Quick Selection Tool. We can start here. And you can see now this entire part is selected. We could go and now this part 2 is selected is very, is very smart. Toll is very cleverly recognizes what should be n, which will be out. We do the same thing in this part and we add some more selection. Now the entire logo is selected. Go to the move tool. Take it from 53 to file one, drag and drop. Just like that. We can make it a little bit smaller this time. Keep it right there. Last thing we're going to add is this big logo. We're going to put it in the bottom right here. To do that. We're gonna try to use the Quick Selection Tool. We can do that, can work. Now this part is the selected. We'll go to this part and we select two. And we can use this tool and it works perfectly fine, but we're not gonna do that. Control D to deselect. Instead, there is a much easier way, which is we go back to the magic wand tool. And instead of selecting the logo, we select everything that's not the global, which means the green part. We click on the green part. Now everything outside the logo is selected. What we do now, we go to select inverse. And now the opposite is selected, which is of course the logo. The logo, the logo is selected. Click on the Move tool with the logo from 54 to phi 1, drag and drop just like that. And now we have the logo just right here, Control T. We make it smaller and put it in the center, just like that. And then click on Commit. Now the exercise is done. You go do the same exercise and don't forget to save.
26. Selections : Exercise 3: Now we move to the third exercise. In this exercise, we're going to use these images. And we're going to try to get this result. So we have fireworks in the sky. We have a star in the middle. We have two rockets, and each rockets as a flame underneath it. Okay. We'll go to Photoshop file open. We open file one, and we're going to start by adding the fireworks. So we open file to, okay. Now we need to select this part. To do that, we use the lasso tool. Click on the Lasso tool and window. The bart. We want to select. Just like this. We'll go to the Move tool. And we take it from here to here, drag-and-drop. Just like this. We're going to change the blending mode from normal to from normal to lighten. There are many blending modes you can choose from. I think we're going to go with with lightened. Just like that, all the black disappeared. And now we can only see the light. May it looks like the fireworks, our real and happening in this image. We'll go do the same thing. To the second we selected. We're going to maintain shift and add this part that we didn't select. Okay. Same thing. We move it from year to year, drag and drop. We put it in the center, change the blending mode to lighten it just like that. And the third one, drag and drop, will change the blending mode to lighten. Same thing we did with the others. And now all the fireworks, each one of them is on a separate layer. Right here. We can group them all. Maintain shift or press Control, select layer to select Layer 3, and then click on Group. Now we have a group. We double-click and rename it. Works. You should always be well organized because in big projects, if you're not organized, if you don't name your layers, you will be confused and it will cause a lot of problems. That's why you should always be organized. Okay, next thing we're going to do, we need to add the star in the middle. To do that, you have to, first of all, open the image of the star 57. We can close the file we no longer needed. Now we have 57 opened. We're going to select the Start and put it in the file. Want to do that? We're not going to use the Lasso tool. We're going to use another tool which is the polygonal lasso tool. And you're going to see what it does. We click on Save, click another time. Click another time. You can see what it does is it makes us selection. But with just straight lines. Click, click, click for more precision. You can always zoom control plus. And go to the first, the point you started from and click. And now we have our selection. Move to same thing and we move it. We put it just right here. Okay? Next thing we're gonna do is we're going to add some brackets Open. Let's start with this rockets. Same thing, same tool. Let's zoom a little bit. Click. Click. The shape is made of straight lines. You should always use this stall is very is very practical. And go to the move tool, flow 54251, drug and job. Just like that. Controlled t. We rotated. They get smaller, little bit smaller. So you get rotated so more. And click and click on Confirm. And now we have our rockets just right here. We're going to rename this layer to start. We're going to rename this layer rocket 1. Now. We need to bring the other rockets. We no longer need these files. I'm going to close 504 as well. 51. Open file three. The other rockets were going to make a selection with the same thing and bring it to a file one. This time we're not going to use the Polygonal Lasso tool because this object is not made of straight lines. There are some round lines right here. And for that, we're going to use another tool which is the Magnetic Lasso doors. And this is like the smartest dollar hall. You're going to see why. We're going to start our selection right here. And then you don't need to click anymore. You just, you just move the cursor right here and it automatically makes the selection each recognize the edges. We can press Space, move just like this. Then let go and keep going. Continue our selection. Continue our selection. If we mess up like, like this, we can use the back button, back, back, back, back, back, back. And we can go back and then continue. You can click if you want to tell Photoshop that you need to put a point right there. You continue with the cursor, you continue and you continue. It automatically recognizes the edges. Press Space. Move it like this, and continue. We can back, back, back, back. We can make it a little bit better. Keep going. Click right there in space. Click, Keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going. Click, click. Click. Click and we reached the starting point and then we click. Now we have our selection. Now the entire rocket is selected. Thanks to list all the Magnetic Lasso Tool and go to the move tool. We take it from 53 to 51, drag and drop. Just like that. Control D will make a rotation in this direction and make it a little bit smaller. Just like that. And now, the last thing we need to do, we need to add the fire under this rocket and another fire under this rocket. Open. We select the two files. We no longer need 53. So close. We'll go back to the Lasso tool, the regular or make a selection. Simple selection like this. It doesn't have to be precise from 56 to 51 and put it right here. Control T. And we put it under the rocket. We change the blending mode to lighten. And we must put it. Okay, Let's rename this layer. We're going to rename this layer rockets to recognize it and avoid any kind of confusion. This is fire one. And you're going to put it under racket one, just like this. Now, the rocket one is above it and the fire these under it. We do the same thing with the other fire. Lasso tool, will make a selection just like this. We move, fight, warm. We put it right here. Control D may go Dacian. Put the fire right there, rename it to and put it under rocket to, it's already under bracket two. We just need to change the blending mode to lighten. And now the exercise is finished. You go do the same and don't forget to save.
27. Selections : Exercise 4: And now we move to exercise number 4. And here's what you're gonna do. We're gonna start with this photo. We're going to use this image, this image, this image, and you're going to get this result. So there is a duck here inside the pool and there is an image of a man. Looks like it was painted on the wall. And the same thing here with the picture of the woman. It looks like it was painted on the wall. So we're going to try to do that. Close the photo, go to Photoshop. First thing. We open file one, or we can open all of them at once. Just like that. Final one is the main file we're going to work on. First thing we're going to do, we're going to put this doc right here. We're going to select this dark and put it in the bowl. To do that, we can use the we can use the Quick Selection Tool. We can increase the size just like that and select. Now, the entire duck is selected just like that, I think is the easiest tool, the Quick Selection tool. There are of course, other tools, as we saw earlier, but this is the easiest tool for an object like this. We use the move tool. We take it from here and we drop it in 51. Controllability, we reduce the size, you make it very small. Just like this, we can zoom control, control plus and put it right here, and then click on Commit. Okay? Second thing we're gonna do, we're gonna put the image of the men. And we're going to select all the black parts. Take it from here and put it right here and make it look like it was painted on the wall. We want this same effect, the same effect. And same thing we're gonna do with this picture of this woman. And we're going to put it in this area. Okay. Let's start with the man first. We can close the file to you no longer needed 53. What we need to do now, we need to select everything that's black, everything that's black, we need to select it. We can use the magic wand. Click here, press Shift, select this part, this black part, this black part, this blackboard, there's Blackboard, this blank. But it's gonna take a lot of time. It's gonna take a lot of time. It's not easy at all, it's not practical, and that's not what we're gonna do. So Control D to deselect. And we're going to use another method. We go to select. And then click on Color Range. What this tool allows us. What this tool does. It allows us to pick a color, any color, and select everything that's similar to that color. For example, we're going to pick the color black. And everything black is going to be selected. So we click anywhere here. We click. And as you see, everything that's black is now selected. You see, see the white color. The white color means everything that's selected. So we just click on the color and now we have everything selected. We just click on, Okay. And here is our selection. With the move tool. We take it from 53 to 51, drag and drop just like that. And now this is exactly what we needed. We took everything that's black and everything that's yellow. It does it no longer exists. Okay. So we just need to change the size and make it fit. The wall right here. That way it will look like it was painted on the wall. Okay. We click on Commit. We're going to do another modification which is the go to edit transform and then distort. We need to make some changes. Just like this. And this way we make it fit the wall, perfectly fit the wall. And now it looks like a painted image. This is the effect we wanted to. We can reduce the opacity to 90 percent. Let's say, I think it looks better, control 0. And now it looks really good. And it looks like it belongs on the wall. Same thing we're gonna do with this picture of this woman. We no longer need 53. Close. Same thing we're gonna do with this picture. Select Color Range. We select the color we need. In this case is the blue. And now everything blue is selected. We click on, Okay. Now everything is selected. We take it from here to here, drag and drop, just like that. And we have this picture of this woman. Control the t. We need to change the size a little bit bigger, make it smaller, and click on Commit. Next thing we need to do. Same thing we did here. Edit, Transform, Distort, and now we're going to try to make it fit the wall and look like it belongs on the wall. So we take this point, you put it right here, is 0.2. Hold it right here. This point, right here. This point right here. And now looks like this was painted on the wall and is very realistic. We can drop the opacity to 90 percent, for example. And now it looks really good. You can change the blending mode if you want. There are many blending modes you can try, but you don't have to, you can just keep it normal. So now the exercise is done. You go do the same and don't forget to save.
28. Selections : Exercise 5: Now we move to exercise five. And here's what you're gonna do. We're gonna start with this image, this image, this image and get this result. And no, it's similar to what we previously did, but this time we're going to use a new tool, which is the bent all. I want you to get familiar with this tool by doing this exercise. So file open. We go to exercise files. We select these three files and click on open. Okay. First thing, we're going to need to select the Nike logo, what this term using this tool, the Pen tool, instead of the others. So first thing we need to Jo Beth, by using this tool, we start by clicking here. We click. We go here. We click and maintain. And we create an arc. Just like this. We make it fit the logo. And then next point we go here and click. Now, we need to click on old. And you can see there's a change in the cursor. Now we need to close the angle, click on old and then click. Now the angle is closed. We can continue drawing our Beth. Click again. Click and maintain, create the angle just like this before it was a straight line. Now, we need to change the shape of the birth a little bit and go to the starting point. And our good, just like this. Now we have our path. We can still change the bus. We can modify the above by clicking control. You can change the position of the bus. You can double-click on this point and move it around. You can change the angle by using by pressing this point. And of course you can do the same here or anywhere. Just click on Control, press the button and apply your changes. Now we have our Beth, What do we do? Right-click and choose, Make selection. And then click on, Okay. Now the bath turned into a selection. We use the move tool. We go from five to two phi one, drag and drop. Just like this. Control G, we need to reduce the size of the Nike logo. Then put it right here. It doesn't have to be perfect. I just want you to get familiar with the tool. We can close the file. And now let's focus on the Apple logo. Same tool, the pen tool to start here. Click. We click and make the angle just like this. Click again. Click again. You can you can press Space and change the point, whatever you want. If you didn't put it in the right spot in the beginning, you can always like, What if I do it? The space button, put a joint here. Another point here. Another point here. Another point here. If you make a mistake, for example, like this, you can always control Z and go back. For this where we need to close the angle by clicking old and then pressing. You can see there is the cursor changes. Press Alt, click. The angle is closed now, no curves. We can start from the end. Just like that. Another point, another point, we can modify it later and made it better. And another point right here. We took close the angle right here. And the last point. Just like that. Now, right-click. Make selection and click on, Okay. Now this part is completely selected. We need to add this part. Leave the selection right there and create new birth from year to year. Then all glows the angle like this. And close the above right here doesn't have to be perfect. As I said, I just want to practice. Then right-click. Make selection and choose Add to Selection. Okay? Not new selection, add to selection, and then click, Okay, now we'll have this selection. And in this selection at the same time, click on the Move tool, take it from here to here, drag and drop just like that. And now we have the Apple logo. Just try to control T, change the size and put it right here. Now the exercise is finished. You go do the same exercise and don't forget to save.
29. Selections : Exercise 6: And now we move to exercise 6. In this exercise, we're going to use this picture, this picture, and we're going to try to get this result. So we go to Photoshop. First thing we need to do, we need to open the two files we're going to work with just like that. And then we have to make a selection. We have to select this woman and her hair. To do that, we're going to use the Quick Selection Tool. We're going to start from here. Let's continue. Continue our selection. Select this part of the hair, this bar there. We're going to reduce the size of the tool from 30 to 10, let's say. Zoom some more. We're going to select this part. This part. Select this part. And this part. Nope, Control Z. Control Z. Again. Whenever you make a mistake, you can go back. We're going to reduce the dawn will get reduce the size of the tools. Just like that. We're going to be no control Z. Okay, I think it's enough. I think it's enough. Now we're going to try to move drag and drop from 52251 and put it right here. But you can notice that the selection is very bad. You can see there's the white here, there is wide here. The air looks really bad. It doesn't look like a realistic picture. Doesn't look like the woman really belongs in this background. And overall it's really bad, so it needs some improvement. We're going to delete this layer, go back to 50. And what we're gonna do, we're going to improve our selection. To do that, you go back to Quick Selection and then click on Select and Mask. Now, we have to choose this tool, the Refine Edge brush tool, we click. And now we can paint over all the areas that need improvement. Like this part. This part, this part of the air. What is red is the part that's not selected and what's visible is the part that is selected. We'll keep doing the same thing here. In the hair area. We paint all over. And this tool is very smart. It recognize, it recognizes what should be selected and what shouldn't. He knows that all this white shouldn't be selected and we only need the air. The selection is improving. We can add this part is part of the air. This is the rest of the air will go over this part. Okay? If we switch the view to black and white, we can see that what is white is what's selected. What is black is the part that's not selected. And as you can, the selection now is much better. We didn't see the details of the hair. It looks much better than the first die. There are other options here we can modify smooth, for example. I just want you to see what this does. We're not going to change anything. I just want you to see what it does. Feather, for example. You can see what it does to the selection contrast shift edge. And that's it. We click on, Okay. Now this is our selection. We do the same thing, move tool. We take it from ear to ear and drag and drop just like that. And as you see now, the selection is much better than the picture looks much better than the first time. Now, the exercise is finished. You go do the same and don't forget to save.
30. Masks : Explanation: In this lecture we are going to talk about masks. So in this file, we have two layers. We have layer one and layer two. Layer two is on top of layer one, as you can see. And what we're going to do now is we are going to create a layer mask. Okay? To create a layer mask, we go to this button, Add Layer Mask, and then we click. You notice that not much has changed. But we can see there's a rectangle or white rectangle just right here that was added. Okay, we click on this rectangle. And here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna start painting in black on this white rectangle. And you're going to see what happens. Now, everything that's painted with the color black disappeared, disappeared completely. If we can see the layer beneath it, you can see that there is nothing is completely disappears. So when we paint with the color black on the layer mask, it disappears. We can click on all and then click on the layer mask and we can see our layer mask. All this black area is hidden and everything painted in white is shown. We're going to click Alt again and click again to go back. We're going to make this layer visible. And we're gonna do the opposite. Now. Press X to switch colors, and now we're going to paint with the color white and see what happens. The layer is now showing. As you can see. We're going to hide it again. Just by painting with the color black. Just like that. Everything painted with black disappears. Everything with black is end and everything was white is shown. If you want to disable, the mask is very simple. You press Shift and then click on the mask. Now there's a red cross on the mask, which means the layer mask is disabled. Press Shift again, click again, and now it's abled and the mask is applied. So what is painted with black is hidden. What is painted with white is shown. This is all you need to know for now about masks.
31. Masks : Exercise 1: Now we start with the first exercise. And in this exercise, we're going to use this image, this image, and we're going to try to get this result. We close the photo. Go to Photoshop, file. Open. We open 51. We import the second picture, the picture of the fire. And we put it right here. We're going to decrease the opacity. Control T, change the size or the picture for it, It's about about there. Then click on Commit. We increase the opacity to 100 percent. And here's what we're gonna do. We're going to create a mask. Now we have a mask and we're going to hide all of it. I'm going to hide the entire layer. To do that, click on this white rectangle, edit, fill, and we choose black. We're going to fill it with black. And as we know, black hide, so it completely disappears. What we're going to do now, we click on the bend tool, the brush tool, sorry. Agrees with the size. Make sure the hardness is it at 0%, and flip the colors. Now we're going to start painting with the color white. Just like that. We've got to bait paint all over the eye. This way. Switch to black. We're going to hide these parts if you go too far, we can always do the opposite. Like here. Now we are hiding with the color black. Okay? Now we're going to change the blend mode to make it look better. I don't know which blend mode I'm going to use. I think linear light looks good. I'm going to choose linear light. I'm going to decrease the opacity to 90 percent. And now the exercise is finished. You go do the same and don't forget to save.
32. Masks : Exercise 2: And now we move to the second exercise. And in this exercise, we're going to start with this image, this image, this image. We're going to combine the three of them and get this result. We have the C from the first image, we have the clouds from the second image, and there's a dolphin just right here inside of the sea. We go to Photoshop file open. We start by opening flight. One second thing we're gonna do, we're going to import the second File, Place Embedded file. And place. Make it bigger. Just like that. And here's what you're gonna do. This line, the line of the horizon. It must be placed on top of this line of this image. Okay, this horizon must match this horizon. I will go and do that. We're going to reduce the opacity. Well 52 and then change the position of fine too, just like that and put them on top of each other. This way. You can see now, you can increase the opacity back again. You can see that the horizon here is on top of the horizon here. Okay? Both are on top of each other. Once we do that, 52, we create a mask. Just like that. Click on the Mask button and here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna go to this tool, the gradient tool, and you can see what this does. It creates a gradient from one color to another. And we click. We make sure this white rectangle is selected. And here's what you're gonna do. We're gonna create a gradient from here to here. As you can see, alt click. Now, the gradient is circular because it's selected here, but that's not what we want to choose. We need the linear gradient. So we click on linear gradient and look what this does. It's creates a gradient from black to white, or the opposite from white to black. Okay? We're going to bend this back to white. Now it's white. Click, Alt, click again, and now we're back here. Now we're going to create the gradient, this time, linear gradient. And you're going to see what type of result we're going to get. Okay? We need to hide the inferior part and the superior part must be visible. Okay? We only want the cloud to be shown. Doesn't go the result. We can make it better, we can create. We can do it again. You can try again. Make sure it's a straight line. I think it looks okay. If we click Alt and click on the rectangle, the mask, we can see what it looks like, the gradient. I think it looks okay. I think we can keep it this way. Okay, Next thing we need to do, need to add the dolphin. We need to bring the door from first of all, File, place Embedded and bring the dolphin just right here. We can reduce its size. We can rotate it a little bit and then put it just right here. And click on Commit extinct. We're gonna do, we're going to hide the bottom part of the dolphin and make it look like it's swimming inside the water. So can they go mask? Same thing. We need to zoom a little bit. For more precision. We choose, we choose the brush tool. Make sure the hardness is at 0%. We can increase the size a little bit. Okay, this is good. And with the black color, we start painting. Just like that. We start painting and we hide the bottom part of the dolphin. And now it looks like the dolphin is swimming inside the water. So now the exercise is finished. And you go do the same and don't forget to save.
33. Masks : Exercise 3: Okay, Now we move to the next exercise and here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna start with this image. There's a baby with blue eyes. And we're going to change it. We're going to change the color of his eyes from blue to green. Just like that. We go to Photoshop, file open and open 51. We zoom a little bit. And here's what we're gonna do. We're going to create an adjustment layer. Click on Adjustment Layer, you and saturation. And then we start changing the UE until his eyes become grid. I think it looks good. And you notice when we created an adjustment layer, there is a white rectangle here. That's a mask. Whenever we create an adjustment layer, it automatically by default comes with a layer mask. So if we want to hide the effect is very simple. We click on the mask, edit, fill, and we fill it with black. And now the effect is completely what we want to do. Now. We want the effect to only be shown in these areas. In the eye area. What do we do? Click on the Brush tool. Make sure the hardness is at 0%. We reduce the size and you start painting with white. Make sure that the white is selected. We paint with white or the area of the eye just like that, and it turns to green and go to the other eye, same thing, and do the same thing. And now the eyes are green. If we press Alt and click, we can see what we did with painted white on the mask. And now the eyes are green. It's a very simple exercise. You go do the same and don't forget to save.
34. Masks : Exercise 4: Okay, Next exercise, exercise four. Here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna start with this image and you're going to change the color of the shirt from red to blue. How are we gonna do that? File? Open. We open 51, just like we did in the previous exercise, adjustment layer. You and saturation. We start changing the color, all the colors until we reach the color blue, until the shirt becomes blue. And then edit, fill. We fill everything with black. And now the effect is in. What we're gonna do, we're gonna select only the red shirt, only the red parts. And we're going to paints all that with white. And they're way, the effect will be shown only in this area. So we're going to use quick selection for that. Quick selection, we can increase the size and start selecting just like this. It's very easy. Okay, X2. Click on All to need to remove this part, the end part. Okay, we can make the can make it smaller just like this. And continue our selection. Zooming. We're going to make it super small. Just to select this area. I think that's enough. And then what we're gonna do, make sure you're clicking on the mask. Edit. Fill. This time we're going to fill it with white and black and click. Okay. And now the shirt is blue. Now, only this area is painted with glue and the effect is only shown in this area, which means the shirt area. The exercise now is finished. You go do the same and don't forget to save.
35. Masks : Exercise 5: And now we move to the last exercise, Exercise 5. And here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna start with this image. We're going to use this image and we're going to try to get this result. Will go to Photoshop file open. And we start by opening the file. One. Next thing we need to do, we need to add a white circle. To do that, we create a new layer. Let's rename it circle. We're going to use the Elliptical Marquee Tool, maintain shift and grids the circle, just like that selection of a circle. And then we're going to fill it with white. Edit, fill white. Okay, now we have a white circle. Next thing we're going to add, we're going to add the text. We're going to write water. Right here. The formed is Ariel is set to black, size 450, Center and color is black, press emit. We can change the position wouldn't right here. Okay. What we're gonna do now, we need to select the letters of the text. To do that. Press Control, maintain control, and then click on this area of the layer. You can see the cursor has changed. Click while maintaining control. And now we have a selection. We see the marching ends. We can hide the texts we no longer needed. We're going to inverse the selection. Now. Everything else other than the text is selected. We go to circle and we click on Mask and see what happens. Now it looks like the word is carved inside the white circle. That's what we want. Next thing, we're going to brink. And the other file, the logo of the water, increases the size just like that. Bought it in the center. We can make it even bigger. And make sure it's centered. Click, Okay. We're going to use the magic wand tool and select this part of the logo. Maintain shift. Click again, maintain shift click again. Now we selected the three parts. We can hide the file we no longer needed. We're going to go to the Mask. Click on the mask, go to Edit, Fill, fill it with black this time in order to hide and click. Okay. And now it looks like the logo was carved inside the white circle. Now the exercise is finished. You go do the same and don't forget to save.
36. Retouching : Exercise 1: In this lecture, we are going to discover some retouching tools. We're going to start with exercise 1. And here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna turn this picture into this. What did we do? We made the the background darker, were made her face brighter. The forehead, cheeks, the nose, who made her eyes brighter as well. And we darken this area around the eyes. And that's what we're gonna do. We'll go to Photoshop. First thing we're gonna do. Need to zoom on her face. And we're going to start by brightening interface. To do that, we need to use this to the Dodge Tool. And you can see in the picture what it does. It brightens the image. We click. We change the size and start painting on her face. Now, everything is getting brighter. Make sure you don't overdo it just a little bit. And the nose as well. Now the eyes are brighter. Okay. That's enough. With the dodge tool. We don't need to do anymore brightening what we need to do now we need to darken this area of the eye. In this area of the eye. To do that, we need to use the Burn tool. And you can see what the Burn tool does. Does the opposite in darkens the average, decrease the size? Okay, and we start darkening. Just like that. Of course, this is not the real photography retouching. The main goal is just to show you the tools and make you practice these tools that Dodge and Burn tools. What we're gonna do now, we're going to darken the background. We need to really increase the size. One start darkening just like that. Same tool. Range over and over. If you darken the background, everything around the girl, The girl becomes the center of attention. That's what we trying to do. Now you can see the before and the after, before. After. Now the exercise is finished. You'll go to the same And don't forget to save.
37. Retouching : Exercise 2: And now we move to the second exercise and here's what we're going to do. We want to start with this image and we're gonna get this result. So we are going to hide this sheep and this sheep, and this sheep. That's the first thing we're gonna do. We're also going to hi this tower and these cables. We go to Photoshop. First thing we're gonna do, we're gonna try to hide this the head of the sheep and try to make it disappear. To do that, we're going to use this tool, the Spot Healing Brush Tool. And you can see already what it does. We click. We increase the size and we start painting over the part that we want to get rid of. Just like that. We do it again. If we hide this part and now it's completely disappears. We're gonna do the same for these two. There is any remaining parts. You can always do it again. And as you see, the two of them disappeared. Same thing for this sheep. And it disappeared. As you see now, the three of them no longer exist. What we're gonna do now, we're going to try to get rid of these cables. To do that, you're not going to use this tool. Instead we're going to use the Healing Brush Tool. We're going to see what this does. We reduce the size. Okay, we maintain old. And this is going to allow us a, it will allow us to sample from this area. Click once. And now, once we sampled, you can see, now we can start painting starting from that sample. And you can see like under the cursor, It's following. That shows the place it's sampling from. We continue. And now the cable disappeared. That's like another method of hiding, which is the, the sampling in the healing brush tool. We're going to do the same thing here, Alt sample. And then do the same thing. Just like that. We went too far. Control Z, we can go back, Control Z and go back. I'm gonna make it make it smaller. I think that's enough. Same thing here. And now this part. Okay, Now we're going to try to get rid of this tower. Gonna make it a little bit bigger. You're going to sample from here and start all over. Keep on doing that. And that's enough. Now we're gonna do, we're gonna make it disappear from the bottom. We'll sample here. And again, we do what we did. And he doesn't exist from the ground up. You're gonna sample again from year. And as you can see now, it covers very well. We're gonna see what results we're going to get. Okay, it's not perfect, but it's okay. I'm going to make it small. Sample from here. Going to sound good. Okay, It's not really perfect. But if you zoom out, you can see, we can no longer see it. We can say it disappeared. Okay. It's not really perfect, as I said, but that's not really the goal. The goal is to make you familiar with these tools. Okay. I just wanted to get to practice. This tool is Spot Healing Brush tool and the Healing Brush Tool. And know what sampling is. So the exercise now is finished. You can go ahead and do the same exercise and don't forget to save.
38. Retouching : Exercise 3: And now we move to the third exercise. And here's what we're gonna do. We're going to remove the small sheep from the picture. And we're going to move the position of the big sheep in the center. Just like this. We're going to go from this to this. We go to Photoshop. The first thing we're gonna do, we need to remove this small sheep. Of course, we can use the same tool we used previously, which is the Spot Healing Brush Tool, but that's not what we're gonna do. Instead, we're going to use the Badge, don't. And you're going to see how it works. You've selected a budge tool right here. And you make a selection of the thing or the object you want removed. Just like this. And then you move, you click and move it to another area like this. And it's gone. Control D to deselect. And now it doesn't exist. If you're not satisfied, you can try again. You can do it again the same thing and get a different result. Again and get different result. You can keep trying until you get the result you like. So first sheep is gone. Now we need to move this shape to the center. How are we going to do that? We're going to use this tool, Content Aware Move Tool, and almost the same thing. But we're not going to make them disappear. We're going to make a selection just like that. Try to make a precise selection around the sheep. Just like that. And now it's selected. We take the ship from here to the center of the image. Just like that and let go. Click on Commit and see what happens. It takes some time. The weight and the sheep moved. It's positioned completely and it's placed was replaced by by grass simply. If this area you're not very happy about it. We think it's a little bit blurry, was no problem. Go back to the patch tool. You can make a selection here. And same thing. You drag it to this area, you replace it with this area, and now it looks much better. I noticed that there is a problem here. It doesn't look natural. Same thing. You can correct it. And now it looks really good and very realistic. The exercise is finished. You go to the same And don't forget to save.
39. Retouching : Exercise 4: Now we move to exercise four, and here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna start with this image. And we're going to take this tree here and we're going to clone it. And make the picture just like this. We're going to create a clone of the same tree right here. We'll go to Photoshop. We zoom on the tree. Because XOM, to create a clone, we need to select this tool, the clone stamp tool. And you can already see what it does. We click. We choose the size, the Ardennes repressed, old. So we can make a sample. We sample from here. And now we choose the location of where the tree is going to be, the cloner, the tree. Let's say here. We're gonna create the globe here and we start drawing. And if you look at the original tree, you can see a plus sign moving. That means it's sampling from that area. So that's what I'm doing. I'm just painting and the clone is being created. Now the clone is created is very simple. The exercises finished, you go do the same and don't forget to save.
40. Retouching : Exercise 5: And now we move to exercise 5. In this exercise, we're going to start with this image. We're going to do some retouching using new tools that we haven't seen before. And you're going to turn into this is very subtle, but it makes the difference. We're going to change the shape of the hair right here. We're going to soften the skin and hide some flaws. And you're going to sharpen the ice. Okay, we'll go to Photoshop. The first thing we're gonna do, we're going to soften the skin. To do that. We're going to need this to the blur tool. I'm going to increase the size right here, decrease the hardness. And with this tool, we're going to start blurring. Or this area. Same thing with the nose is very subtle, but it does make the difference. Okay. That's enough. You can do this part to consult on this part. Okay, That's enough. Now what we're gonna do, we're going to sharpen the eyes. To do that, use the sharpened tool. We zoom on the eyes and we start sharpening. We'll do the other. I don't wants don't several times. Just like this. And it does make a difference. Does make a difference. Now the eyes are way more shiny. Third thing we'll need to do. We need to change the shape of the hair. To do that, we're gonna use the smudge tool. And you're going to see what this does. Reduce the volume of the air just like that. And it makes the edges blurry. I think it makes the picture way better. Now the exercise is finished. You go do the same and don't forget to save.
41. Animation : Exercise 1: Okay, in this lecture, we are going to learn the basics of animation. We're going to start with this file, this file, this file, this file, and this file. And we are going to try to make this animation is very simple. And we're also going to try to export it as a GIF and make an animated image. It goes on a loop. Okay, go to Photoshop. First thing we need to open 51. Just like this. We need to bring all the elements we need from file to file five. Just like that, to reduce the size of the tree. Click on Commit. This is the burnt tree. We put them on top of each other and they must have similar size. Just like that. Now, the dragon reduce the size of the jargon. We put it right here. And now the fire Omega rotation, reduce the size. Don't reduce the size. Reads a big size. The forum was, must cover the entire tree. We rotate just like this. Will make it, make it look like it's coming out of the mouth of the dragon. Just like this. I think it looks good. And then commit. Now we have all our elements. We're going to, first of all, try to, we're going to rename all these layers fire. To avoid confusion later on. This dragon is the burn tree, and this is Green Tree. Okay, to create an animation in Photoshop, we need to click windows, Window and then go to Timeline. And now we have this box. And then click on Create Video Timeline. Can now we have this. We can see all the layers right here. They are, here. There is a timeline, there's a Play button. It goes from 0 to five seconds. For staying. We're going to do click here. Set timeline frame rate. We're going to set it to 24, 24 images per second. This is the frame rate. Okay, can make this bigger. First thing we need to do. We need to do this. Shorten the dragon layer. We can dissolve in the timeline. By clicking this button. We can zoom out by clicking this, what we're going to zoom in. And the dragon in the timeline, we want it to last only a third of a second. You see here, there's a second. You can zoom out the second 1 second. This is a third of a second. We're gonna put it here. The jargon, it lasts only a third of a second. Going to create a group. I'm going to put the dragon inside the group. I'm going to rename the group, drag it. Now we have the folder here you have the group will open it and we see the layers inside. We're going to duplicate. We click, make a copy. And we're going to move it. Just like that to the right. We're going to. Another copy, move it to the right, just like that, and another copy. And move it to the right. Now we have four Dragons just like this. They are, they are all, they all start at 1 second, okay? And then they disappear. They appeared, they disappear. What you are going to do now we're going to change the position of the dragon layers one by one. And we're going to put them in order like this. Now if we play C result, we get once again play. Now the dragon is moving. I think you get the idea. Image by image. That's what animation is. You put images in a certain order and it creates the illusion of movement. So now the moment of the dragon is finished. We're going to zoom out. You're going to make this longer the way the drug and doesn't disappear after reaching this point. Now it stays you it doesn't move for five seconds? No, not for five for four seconds. Okay. It moves in the beginning. Then for four seconds, it stays there. Okay? Next thing we're gonna do, we're gonna change the fire. In the timeline. The fire only needs to start here. We don't need the firing the beginning. Go There's no fire. And we want to do less than about 1 second. That's about 1 second. So dragging gums, it spits fire. When it stops. You can make it even longer. Dragging gums, Spitfire. The tree must be verb. Okay? Here's what we're gonna do. Want to put the cursor here. After the fire disappears, we see the burn tree. So we're going to reduce the time of the burned area and it only starts here. We're going to do the same thing, but in the other direction for the green tree. Now look, the dragon comes, spits fire. The green tree disappears and now we see them burning tree. So it comes Spitfire birth between and that's it. We're going to reduce the size of the timeline from five seconds to four seconds. We're going to play, you're going to see one type of result we get. I think it looks good and this is what we wanted. Now we need to export. We need to create a video. Exported your video. We'll click this button, render video. Wait some time. These are the settings. We've gotta keep the name file one. Okay, What else? The format, this is the right format. The location. You're gonna put it in the desktop. And then click on Render. Will go to the desktop and we see our file, the video file. We open it and we'll find it here. This is exactly the result we wanted. And it looks good. What we are going to do now we're going to export the same file, but not to video format. You're going to export it to JF for my GIF or GIF. I don't really know which one is the correct. Go to File, export. Save for Web. Save for Web. Make sure. Give a selected row hotels. Click on Save. Choose the location where I'm going to put it in desktop. And I think it's finished. Yes. You go to desktop and you'll find it here. We open it. And there you go. The exercise. Now we've finished. You go do the same and don't forget to save.
42. Advanced : Exercise 1: Okay, This is the last lecture. And in this lecture we're going to learn some advanced techniques and tricks in Photoshop by doing some advanced exercises. We're going to start with the first one. We're going to start with 51 and do some professional retouching and make it into this. We're going to do this picture, the original picture into this. And we're gonna do, we're going to apply some tricks and techniques that are used in photography and fashion industry. Would go to Photoshop. First thing we're gonna do. We're gonna remove any kind of imperfection in her skin, her face, and everywhere. To do that, first, we need to unlock this layer. I'm going to use the Spot Healing Brush Tool and I'm gonna start removing any kind of imperfection is very simple. There is a scar here. Remove it just like that. I think that's enough. I think that's enough. Next thing we're gonna do, we're going to smooth the skin using a new technique. This time. We're going to duplicate this layer Alt and duplicate, I'm going to call it smooth skin, filter, blur and Gaussian blur. And you can see what it does. It makes it blurry. We can choose the, the level of our Much blurry we want our picture to be. But for now we're going to set it to five. And click. Okay. Next, we're going to create a layer mask. And it filled, filled with black and now disappeared. It's hidden. We go to the Brush tool, increase the size a little bit. Just like that. Resume. And we start, make sure the hardness is set at 0%, and then start painting like this. And as you can see, the skin is getting smaller. But it's too obvious we don't want this effect, so we're going to reduce the opacity to 50 percent for more natural look and continue the smoothing of the skin just like this. And you can see it looks much better. This area. As you can see, the face looks much better now. We'll do the same thing. Here. Start with your fingers. Let's increase the size. And the skin on the hand looks much better now, same thing here. Okay, I think that's enough. You can see we're going to unsee the smooth skin effect. And then C again, I'm going to zoom so you can see, will this affect the face? Looks much better on the skin, much smoother. Okay. Next thing we're gonna do. We're gonna add some sharpness to the eyes. But this time using new technique. I'm going to again duplicate this layer by clicking olds. Go to Filter other and ibis. And set the radius to set the radius to three. And click Okay. Then same thing we did with the other layer. Add Layer mask filled with black. Now, paint into the white areas. In the area, just like this. And only here. Now we can only see the letter in these two places. Now, I'm going to change the blending mode from normal to soft light. And now you can see the eyes are more bright, makes them look much better. Now I ansi a, now you see again, you can see the difference between the two and what this effect does makes the eyes much brighter and more more expressive. Going to change the name to sharp eyes. It's very important to be organized in Photoshop and always rename your layers. Okay, next thing I'm gonna do, I'm gonna make the eyes a little bit brighter. To do that. Click on Adjustment Layer curves and make everything just a little bit brighter to select that slightly. And then go back. You can see what this adjustment layer did. It made it brighter, made everything brighter, but we don't want everything to be brighter. We want just the eyes. To do that. No need to create a new Layer Mask and fill it with black and on then paint in the eye area. We can just duplicate this mask Alt and put it right here. Now, click Yes. And now we have the same layer mask on the two layers. And this one, only a blind, is only applied in the eye area. And you can see the eyes are much brighter now. You can see the difference between the two. Okay? I think it looks very good. The eyes are probably the most important element in every portrait. So we have to prove them as much as we can and make them as expressive as we can. Okay, next thing we're gonna do, we're going to create a new layer. Go to gradient. Is create a gradient just like this radial gradient. Make sure the white is in the center and the black is on the edges. We're going to create a vignette effect. Make sure white is the foreground and black is the background, just like this. And then change the blending mode from normal to overlay. And then reduce the opacity from a 100 to 30. And now, as you can see, the picture looks much better. This is without going to rename it. I'm going to rename it to filter. And you can see with the furniture. And without the filter. With the filter, it looks much better. Like the girl becomes the center of attention and the edges become darker. This way we only focused on the girlfriend on the face more specifically. So now the retouching is finished. You go do the same exercise and don't forget to save it.
43. Advanced : Exercise 2: And now we move to Exercise 2. And here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna use this image, this image, this image, this image in order to create this result. So we're gonna create this scene in Photoshop. We open the file in Photoshop, just like this. And then we're going to open a file for the puppet. Just like this. First thing we need to do, we need to make some modifications to the legs of this puppet. And we need both legs to be in the same level and on the ground. What will be the ground later? And go to edit. First of all, let's unlock. Go to Edit and Puppet Warp will put that been here, been year. It's been here, been here. And look what we can do now. We can warp it just like this. We're going to make it look like the leg is on, the floor, is on the ground. Create more bins here. And going to modify the legs just like this. And now there are almost on the same level horizontally. And then once we're finished with click on Commit. Now think it looks good. Now, we need to select this puppet tool in order to take it to the other file. We can use Quick Selection, but the easiest way is magic want we select the black and then select inverse. And now the puppet is selected. Click Move to take it from here to here, and drag and drop just like this. Or there's a problem here. There's a problem with the end. But that's okay. Quick Selection Tool and we can add this part just like this move tool. Take it from here to here and reduce the size. Make it smaller, and put it right here. Next thing we need to do, we're going to add a shadow just under the puppet right here. To do that is very simple. Create new layer. Rename this. Above that. I'm going to rename this shadow and use the Elliptical Marquee Tool to create the circle just like this. And then edit, fill, fill it with black. Okay. We reduce it to 50 percent and we put it under the budget just like this. And then we're going to apply the effect of the blur on this black circle, Blur, Gaussian Blur. We set it to 10 and or let's say 788 looks good. And then click, Okay, and now we have a shadow under our puppet. What we're going to do now, we're going to create the effect of depth of field, which means it's going to look like the camera is focusing on this puppet. The background is going to be blurry and the foreground is going to be blurry. Okay? That's the depth of field effect that you get with a professional camera, but we're going to create it now. We're going to unlock this background. Filter. Blur, blur Gallery, and tilt shift. We're going to set the blurred to five right here. We're going to move it right here. This means this part is crystal clear and this part is blurry. This part swell is blurry. We can modify it just like this. We can move this line. I'll think. I think this looks okay. Strike 10, attempts to much. Seven. I think it looks good. And then click on, Okay. And now we have the effect. Okay, next thing we're gonna do, we're going to add the rocket that are about to hit the pocket. Taking the rockets, open it here. With Quick Selection tool. We select the rocket. Just like that. It's very easy, very simple. And we select the fire underneath. Then click on Select and Mask pretty fine edges. And applied right here to add the rest of the smoke. There was a selected. We can also apply it right here to approve the selection. And then click, Okay. Now the rocket is selected move tool. We take it from here to here, FY21 drag and drop just like this. Control G. We can reduce the size. And Joe date. Just like that. I'm going to put it right here, just like that. And now I'm going to add another effect to the rocket to make it seem like it's moving. Like it's really going in the direction of the bucket, then it's about to hit him. Filter blur. And then motion blur. Now, look what this effect does. You can set it, don't let say 60. We can choose the angle. And now I'm going to set it to 0, this angle. And now it really looks like the rocket is moving in the direction of the puppet, is creates the illusion of movement. That's what it does. Let's reduce it to, let's say 10 or 15. Let's say 15. And then OK. Control T, rotate it, move it, make it even smaller. Just like that. And it looks like it's going to hit the BOP it. Click. Okay. Let's rename this Rocket. Rocket one. You can put it on top. We duplicate it, duplicate it. Now we have two rockets Control D. We can put the surrogates, right? You know, data into it. It's like that. Okay. Then let's rename this rocket to last thing we're going to do, we're going to add the leader in this corner. The skills these we no longer needed. No longer needed. We open file 2. We are going to make a selection of this girl. Quick selection tool. Just like that. We only need the superior part. The upper body. We don't name the bottom part. Okay, There's reduce and continue our selection. Now. We're going to refine our selection, Select and Mask. Make sure refined edges. This tool is selected. We reduce the size a little bit and start applying the tool in this area. Now we can see the air, this area, the ground too. This window right here, the end. The Magic Wand. This window right here. Okay. Quick Selection again. Think I'm going to continue going to select this part too, just in case you're probably not gonna see it in the final result. But so again, continue selection. It doesn't have to be precise, doesn't really matter because we won't see it. And then click Move to take it from here to here, drag and drop, just like this controlling TD. Reduce the size. This is the right position, the right size click on Commit. And now filter selection doesn't have to be perfect because we're going to apply a Gaussian blur to the Grb. Let's say five. I think it looks good. And you're going to remove this layer guard. Now the exercise is finished. You go do the same and don't forget to save.
44. Advanced : Exercise 3: And now we move to the third exercise. And here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna use this image, this image. In order to create this result, we're going to create this poster with the car right here. We're going to add a text on top of this mountain. It looks like it's sitting on the mountain. And you're going to add 3D, 3D text, 3D text and Jeep. And you're going to hide it behind this mountain and these trees. We go to Photoshop. First thing we're gonna do, we're going to bring the car. Drag and drop, just like that. Increase the size. Put it in this position and click Commit. What we're gonna do next, we're going to apply a modification on the brightness of the guard because as you can see, the sky is cloudy and this image is not very bright. But this car was clearly photographed in a very sunny and bright environment. So we need an Adjustment Layer, Brightness and Contrast. Press Alt, put the cursor here and then click. Now you see there's an arrow, which means the adjustment layer is only applied to the layer beneath it, which means the guard. Now we can modify, we can decrease the brightness. We can increase the brightness. We're going to set it to minus 50, from 0 to minus 50. And now you can see the difference. It looks much more realistic. Next thing we're gonna do, we're going to add the text on top of this mountain. To do that, we have to zoom, go to pen tool and draw a path. Just like this, we can modify, control and modified. It means to follow the same shape of the mountain. And then click on Text. Put the cursor right here and now you see the cursor. The shape of the cursor has changed. We click. We need to reduce the size to let's say 72. Who put the cursor and click. Now we can add a text. As you can see, we click on Control. Would click on this point. And we can modify the text on top of this line using this point Control and click this point. Now we're going to modify the text. Lives variance. I'm going to increase the size from 72 to 120. I think this looks good. We can always move the text on this line and then click on Commit. Now we have the text. What we're going to do next, we're going to add the 3D text. Jeep, going to add a text just like that, right? And I'm going to increase the size from a 120 to 700. I think this is big enough. And you don't click on Commit. We have to click on this button, the 3D button. Click Create 3D from texts. Switch to 3D workspace. Yes. Now there is a new workspace and you can see we have a 3D object. There are a lot of there are a lot of modifications we can apply to our 3D object, but we're not gonna do much. We're just going to rotate it a little bit using the mouse, just like this. And then click on Render, this button, render. We'll wait for some time for the rendering. It might take a few minutes. Once you're finished, was the rendering is finished, we can go back to the other workspace, the essentials workspace, the initial one. Right-click on the 3D object and then click on rasterize 3D. Now, it's an ordinary layer. We can move it, put it right here. We're going to go back to the background layer, the picture of the mountains. Make a selection. Just like this. I'm going to click on unseen to the 3D objects, the Jeep texts. Click on Select and Mask. With the refine edge tool. I'm gonna improve the selection just like this. And click on, Okay. We make the Jeep beer again. I'm going to de-select, Select, de-select, click on the Jeep, create the mask. Select again, and click on Select. Now we have the selection again. Edit, Fill, fill with black, okay? And now this part is hidden and it looks like the word Jeep. The 3D object is hidden behind this mountain, behind these trees. The exercise now is finished. You go do the same and don't forget to save.
45. Advanced : Exercise 4: And now we move to exercise for, in this exercise, we're going to combine this image with this image to get this result. This is what we call the double exposure effect. We go to Photoshop, we open the picture. And next thing we're gonna do, we're gonna bring file to put it on top, just like this. And click Commit. We're going to see file to go back to file one Quick Selection Tool or make a selection of all the black area. We click on Select and Mask. And now we're going to refine the edges. The air is very important. This line also, the refinement is done. We'll click on OK. And now we have our selection. We go back to find two, and we click on Mask. And now you see what we get. We only see 52 in the what was the black area. We change the Blending Mode to screen. And the opacity from a 100 to 80. I think this, this looks already good. We're going to make a rotation to 52 and make this line of light go with this line in the face. So we need to make a rotation control T. We make a rotation, but you notice the mask and the picture are moving together. That's because they are linked. So we can do that. First thing we have to unlink by clicking this link, and now the link disappears.
