2. Where to find Adobe Photoshop: In this video, I want
to show you very confined Photoshop to
download or by it. Just go up here at the adobe.com and you will get
something like this. So if we wish to buy photoshop or use it free
for a couple of days, I think that period
now is seven days. Let's go just up
here at creativity and design than
select Photoshop. As you can see from up here, we can try free. Let's go check that out. And from up here, we can buy it. K will go skip this one. And just to show
you, as you can see, I prefer to use this one because if you using
only Photoshop, this is the best
solution for you. 1999, cost per month. And you will get last
version of Photoshop, your own portfolio
website and premium fonts and 20 gigs of storage. So I think this is
the best solution. Let's go check out the free. As you can see, you can use Photoshop, full Photoshop for free. I think this period, as I mentioned before,
is seven days. I think this is fine
because in seven days, you can see is Photoshop
really for you or is not? So from up here, just go download Photoshop for free and try it out
if you like it, just go buy it. And I won't buy it because I already got my Photoshop ready. So I wait this step
you go buy your own. And it's standard installation like the most programs are. So guys see in the
next video with Photoshop installed
on your computer by.
3. Speed Up Photoshop : In this video, I will
show you how to optimize your computer settings to get better performance in Photoshop. So if you ever used Photoshop before and maybe
sometimes in the middle of your work computer freeze and you can do almost anything. That's probably
because you're giving too much information to
deal with, but no resource. So we can try to fix
that just a little bit. Let's go to Edit, then go up here at the
preferences, then go performance. And now as you can see, I got 16 gb of RAM, and I let Photoshop to
use ten gigs of RAM. So up here, we can
change couple of things. If you have four
or eight gigs of RAM on your PC or laptop, I would suggest you to move this slider up here
and give him something like 74 or 75% of
your memory, right? As the default, you will
get something like 70. I suggest you to pick
and stay with 75 or 74 from up here when it comes
Graphic Processor Settings, I would suggest you
to uncheck this one if you don't have
good graphic cards. So if you have something like Intel HD tree hundred
or stuff like that, I would suggest you
to uncheck this one. And if you know your graphic
card is good, check this. If your graphic card
is not that good, uncheck this and your
main processor will get this better and faster than your graphic
processor if it's low. So that's it. I use this yes, graphic processor because I'm satisfied with my video card. It's R7, 370 with four
gigs of RAM memory. And from up here at the history, I would suggest you to move this slider to around 15 or 20. Let's go with 15. History states that means
that Photoshop will remember our 50 last moves. So we can reduce that and
move it to around 15 or 20. Because then when we have
only 15 steps to remember, it's lot easier for our
computer to remember it. And 50 steps back, it's not really, You will
never go five steps back. When I work, I usually
go couple steps back, something like three
or four or five steps back because we don't need that much information for our computer and that's it. And the last thing
we need to go hit, Okay. And that's it. If we wish to get those changes, we need to close this
Photoshop and reopen it again, and then we'll apply
those effects. So guys, that's
everything in this video. See you in the next one.
4. Practice: Black and White Effect: I know some people
think that Photoshop is overwhelming program
that's difficult to use, but I'm here to tell
you that's not correct. I want to show you
right from the start how you'll be able to get fantastic results with only a
few steps in this activity. We'll transform this image
to something like this. Everything will be done
in just a few minutes. First, make it black and white. Second, bring back
color to our cat eyes. So let's start with this image that you will have
attached to this lecture. Please download it, right-click it and open it in Photoshop. Or alternatively, you also
have the PSD file attached. So you can double-click
and it will load directly. It's the same thing. There is no difference
between those two. Don't worry about specific because we'll cover them later. Just follow me for now. As you can see, this is
my custom made workspace. We'll create our workspace
in some of the next videos. So I will make it to a default. They will hit essentials
and Reset Essentials. And this is what you
see in your Photoshop. So my first move will be, I will go from up here and
click black, white. The rehab. Or the same effect we can
get if we come up here at the image than adjustments
and hit black-white, that's the same effect. Great. As you can see, my
foreground color is black and the background
color is white. Now, when I press Z, as you can see, I
will click up here. Now when I press, I will zoom in. Great. Now let's go ahead, hit B to bring up
our brush tool. From up here, we can change
the size of our brush. Said that hardness,
as you can see, I have this soft brush
and I will stay with it. So as you can see, this is my currently
active layer. And now I will just
bring up our color. I will just paint
inside of this eye. And it will automatically
bring up color for me. Great. This is what we want it. Now, if we accidentally
make some move like this, and we don't need color up here. So just press X and
it will change color. It will swap those two colors. Now, our foreground
color is white. And when I go over that, and it will automatically remove the color for us. And that's it. Now, let's go ahead, bring up again our black
color as a foreground. When I press Space, we will get this hand. And now I will just move it with my mouse cursor and go up here. Great. Now, do the same
thing for our second eye. As you can see, this
is really easy. And I will go over
those edges first. And that's it. Just paint over it in a second. If you wish to change
size of a brush, you don't need to come up here. Each time you want to change the size with the left and
the right bracket key, you can get this brush
smaller or larger k. Now let's go press X
and remove those edges. And we are almost done. As you can see, guys, this is really easy and
we got this cool effect. Now when I wish to go
to see my full image, I will hit Control or Command Zero to fit the
screen, this image. And as you can see, this is our cat and
that's our effect. So guys, please upload your finished work
in a comments for this video and share your image with other students and
see you in the next video.
5. Photoshop Search: In Photoshop 2017, we can use search feature to
quickly find tools, menus, tutorials, tips, asset, documents, layer,
and much, much more. So you can think about it like Google inside of Photoshop. This is a great tool for beginners and also
for advanced users. Search, integrate with Adobe
Stock to find stock assets. I will use this image
for our lesson. So let's get started. We can bring up this option
in three different ways. First is come up here at
the Edit, then hit search, and there we have k. The
second way is up here by coming up here at
the top right corner and just click
once on this icon. The last way is shortcut. By pressing Control an F, we can bring up this option. So let me show you what
we can do with this tool. Okay, e.g. let's go type move. And right up here, it shows me that
we have Move tool, and this is the shortcut. If I press V, it will automatically
bring up this tool for us. So if I click once up here, it will automatically
activate move tool. And one more thing I think
you didn't notice when I go up here again and
bring up this move tool, checkout this up here. Do you see how it highlighted? Well, this will
do Photoshop with this search box each time
when we go with some tool. So let's go ahead
and pick Type tool. And when I click, it will automatically highlight this square and activate
this tool for me. So let's go once more. This is all. And when I type up here, it will search everything. It will search my tools, name of my layers, and it will also search up
here to learn and the stock. Okay, now let's go up here and create a new
layer from up here. Let's go ahead and type layer. And if I go up here
and press Control J, it will automatically
duplicate this layer, this currently
activate layer for us. If I go up here, it will create a new
layer, as you can see. Or if I go up here to layer, then you again layer, we get the same results. Let's go check it out. As you can see, again, the same results. So if I go type now layer two, it will bring me to this layer. Let's go type layer one. And when I click up here, it will automatically
activate layer one for us. I show you this because
I think it will be easier for beginners to
work with this tool. You don't know how to activate some tool or
something like that, or you don't know
where your layer is, but you know his name. Just go up here. Press Control F or Command
F. If you're using Mac and you will work much
better with the store. So go up here and experiment
with this to take some time. Sled school type something like brush tool and experiment, how to use it, what you can do with it, and stuff like that. So go buy your own
and experiment with this store and see
you in the next video.
6. Customize your workspace: Like I promised in
a previous video. In this video we are going
to create our workspace. So we are going to make
some changes up here. And you will see in
a minute or guys, you can simply stay with this stock workspace that
Photoshop offers you a really like and prepared to work with my own custom-made
workspace because I found it really helpful
in some situations. So I can show you how to create a workspace
like I do have. And the workspace that I'm going to use through the course. As you can see, this is
the stock or default settings workspace
for Photoshop. If I go up here,
this is essentials. If I go and click
up here at the 3D, you will see how our
workspace change. Or if I go up here and
pick graphic and web, or go below motion,
painting or photography. Those are ideals workspace. If you go for photography, this is ideal workspace
that Photoshop offers you. Or painting, motion,
and Graphic and Web depends on what you need
for your workspace. So I will go with essential. Now, I will open this
history and click up here, where is the text and just
bring it up, up here. I will do the same
with every dose. As you can see, brush, brush presets, color, swatches. As you can see guys, those are tabs by their own. They are just into our groups, but they can work by their own. Now we're going to
close those that we are don't need
for our course. Like I'm just going to
do with liabilities. I will close them. Also. We don't need history. I will close history. Device preview. We'll close that too. And that's it for now. So let's go up here and now
bring them into groups. So I will go up here, not on the top of this
than just click up here, where is the text? As you can see when
I press up here at the color and I will move it. When I see something like this, something blue around my
swatches panel, I will release. As you can see now, there are in non-group. Great. I can move this group around
and make some changes or add them more like
I'm going to do now. I need adjustments. I will go with adjustments
to and bring up adjustments. Also. The last thing for this, I will go and bring up
properties inside of this. And when I see again this
blue, it will release. Great. Now we have one ready. Okay, now let's go and bring up brush to brush
presets or otherwise. Then we need paths. Again, bring up there and
I don't need channels. So I'm going to close
the channels, great. And go up here at the layers
and bring up the layers. Great. Now we have two different
groups and we can make them. And now we can make those two
groups into one bigger one. So now I want click up here
at the brush or this text. I will click up here at the top, this bar on the top. I will move this below. When we see this blue
line, I will release. And as you can see, they are now grouped
into one big group. So we can move those layers to give him priority to
be first or second, third, or the last one. And you go change
that if you need. Great. Now one more thing we need is characters and the paragraph. We can go up here to Window than find something
like paragraph. As you can see there it is. And there is character
too, just like that. Bring them out. And that's it. This is the third
group or the second because those two
are now one group. And let's go ahead and
join them. This one. Great. Now we have our custom
workspace ready. And the last thing for now, let's go ahead and bring
up this, the right corner. As you can see when we
see this blue line, it will attach our
workspace right here. Now, our workspace, it's
fixed for the right side. Great. Now we can go up
here at the window than Workspace and go type
up here new workspace. And we can name it whatever wheel-like or the same
effect we can get. If we go up here, then go new workspace. I will call this
workspace practice. You name it, whatever you like. Great. Now I will hit and save it. As you can see, we can change
also keyboard shortcuts, menus, and the tool bars. But I don't suggest
that anyone to change shortcuts in Photoshop. Great. Now we have our custom
made workspace. As you can see, if
I go up here at the essentials and then
go Reset Essentials, now we have the
workspace like we had at the beginning
of this video. So if I go click once
at the practice, we have our workspace already. So this is how you can
make your own workspace, how to save it, and how to reset it. So I hope you all
understand this. It's not that complicated. It's really easy. And I like this workspace
because it works amazing to me. I hope you enjoyed this video
and saying the next one.
7. Create new project : Now let's go ahead and
create a new document. For creating a new document, there is couple of ways we
can use shortcut or we can go up here that file
than heat or heat, just Control N or command. And if you're using Mac. So with the new Photoshop, we will get this
window from up here. As you can see, this is what I recently used. Those are saved. This is photo, print, art and illustration, web, mobile, film and video. Basically, we are going to
use something for a web, but we will create
it from up here. Those are presets that
Photoshop offered to us. So let's go ahead and create
a new document from up here. Whoever will go and
type some name, let's go just type practice. And you will see in
a second when I hit Create up here will
stay practice. This is the resolution
of the full age. The picture. As you can see, width 1920
by 1080 pixels from up here, we can change the
inches, centimeters, millimeters point,
and stuff like that. For web, we don't need 300
pixels per inch resolution. We will go with 72. Later in the course, I will explain your difference
between saving file for a web or for a print
and stuff like that. We will discuss about RGB, colored, make color
and stuff like that. So don't worry
about that for now. Let's go and create a new
document from up here. We can change a color
of our background. I would suggest you to
always go with white. Maybe sometimes you
need different color. That's okay. And I will now hit Create. And as I already
mentioned before, as you can see, this is
the name of our file. Let's go ahead and
create one more by using shortcut Control N, and it will bring
up this window. Okay, let's go again. Type 72. Now, let's name it. Practice too. I'm showing you this just to practice a little bit
to make you active. So once again, let's
go hit Create, and there we have it. Our second file is ready. So that's everything
you need to know about creating a new file
for now and later, we will discuss
about image size, dimension, and
resolution in Photoshop. So see you there.
8. Practice: How to remove anything from photo: In this video, we will
practice a little bit and I have a little
homework for you. So we will remove
those two objects and try to not damage
the background. So how we are going to do this? First, let's go up here and
pick polygonal lasso tool. This tool works just like this. I will click once up
here and move it around. I just click around. And when I wish to
close selection, this, see this little bubble. Just click on it and it will automatically close
this selection, as you can see, simple as that. Then go to Edit and then Fill. And from up here,
choose Content Aware, blending mode to
Normal and opacity 100% and just hit, Okay. And there we have it
magically disappear. Now, hit control D to de-select. And again, do the same
thing for this one. Okay, let's go try it out. Just like this. Make selection around it. Closed selection. Go to Edit, Fill, Content-Aware,
normal opacity, 100, hit, Okay, and that's it. Control or Command
D to de-select. And there we have it. Let me zoom in to show you this. See, this is like
original image. No one would ever said
there's a balloon before. Now, let's go try
out this big one, k. Let's go and make
selection around it. Just like this. Okay, that's nice. Go to Edit, Fill,
Content-Aware, hit. Okay, it will take him a second. And that's it. Results are pretty amazing. So guys, upload your work
at the comments section. And I hope you liked this one because this is really
easy and lot situation. This can help you to better work and to get the
job done quickly. I will upload this image with the video lesson you're
currently watching. So make sure you
download this image. I will also upload the PSD file. So choose whatever is easier for you to open
and work with it. Saying the next video.
9. Photoshop interface: Now I want to introduce you
with Photoshop interface. Once you are comfortable
with interface, you will be more efficient. On the left side, we have tool panels. As you can see, this is
where all tools are located that we are going to use to
edit or modify our artwork. You'll notice that there is
two different views of tools. Panel currently is activated
single column view. If I go up here and click
on this double arrows here, we'll see double
column from up here. So this is really up to you. How do you like to
display those settings? I personally prefer to work
with single column view. There is too many
tools in Photoshop and they can't all fit up here. So some tools, working
groups to make it simple. And you can reveal
those stools by just simply clicking up here
on some particular tool. As you can see, currently, I have activated less Sue tool. Now, when you select tools, you'll notice that
bar up here change. Let me go grab some
different tools. And as you can see, this bar change with each tool. As you can see, this is all tools in Photoshop. And this is something that
you need to understand. As you can see, this is a foreground color and this
is the background color. By default, foreground color is black and the background
color is white. If I go and press on this icon, it will swap those two colors. Or we can use acts as a shortcut to swap
those two colors. Let's go and change
some color to a red or something just in
a second to show you. If I press X, it'll automatically
swap those two colors. If I press on this icon, it will automatically bring up default settings
for this option. As you can see, it
will automatically bring up the black color for us. So let's continue. If we go up here at the
top of the Windows, you will see the
standard option bar. Across the top. From up here, we can
access variety controls and initiates some of the
creative features in Photoshop. Just under the top bar, we got control panel. As I mentioned before, when I select some tool, it will automatically
change and give us some other options for a
particular items selected. And control panel goes over the entire
width of the screen, just under the menu bar. This control panel is
really useful and it will display a
variety properties and option of particular. Moving to the right side, we got some panels visible as another slim panel, width icons. Those icons represent panels that can be made visible
by clicking on them. If I click up here, once panel will expand
and we can make it again back to the
icon FIPS one more. As you can see next to this, we have some panels that
are already visible, as you can see, color or
sweat here currently, we also can see liabilities. If you look carefully, you can see those panels include another panel setup, e.g. Those two were up here,
layers, channels, and paths for the shop
allow us to arrange and customize those Panel,
whatever you'd like. And from up here we can
see documents name. Now sometimes you will have four or five documents
opened at once. So let me show you something. Let's go to file and
create a new file. It doesn't matter. Let's go with this resolution. Just hit Create and once more. Yet, create a new file. Okay? Okay, we can navigate and swap from one document to
another in a second. Just like that. Make some changes
and go over that. You can navigate just like that. I'm showing you this because
sometimes we will use multiple documents at once and
we will do it in this way. Now, I'm going just to close
those two, and that's it. In the next video, we will create our
custom workspace. Okay, one more thing. I go up here at the Edit. Then I go to Preferences,
then interface. And I just want to show you how I like to work
with those colors. As you can see, my
currently activated is this almost the black
color of my interface? As you can see, we have
some grey or white color. I like. And I would suggest
you to work with darker interface because it's lot easier for your eyes to
work with darker colors. Because sometimes we will
work in Photoshop for around 23 or even more hours and this is too much light
coming into your eyes. So I really suggest
you to work with darker colors interface. Okay? And that's it for this video. In the next video, we will create our
custom workspace. See you there.
10. Different ways to open files: Let's talk about how we can open document in a different
ways in Adobe Photoshop. First way is just
coming up at the image, right-click on it than open width and choose
Adobe Photoshop. And it will
automatically bring up this image for us in Photoshop. And the second way is
the way I recommend for all is hit
Control or Command 0. And it will bring
up something like this for us, this window, and it will ask us which
file we want to open. I will click on this
one and just hit Open and it will bring up this
document in a new tab. Third way is just going up here. Let me close this one and go dragging this
image into Photoshop. Just like this, drag and drop. We can also add more
images into Photoshop. Never mind, Let's go up here. Do not drop it up here
in this canvas area. Go just underneath this
option bar and release there. And it will open this
image into a new tab. Let's go for now, bring up this image into
our opened document. As you can see, when I hit Enter, it will create a smart object. We will talk about that
later in the course, but for now, just a note, if you release up here, it will bring up this
image into a canvas area. But if we go up here, it will open a new document. K. Let me now close all of those. And now let's go bring up all four images
into our Photoshop. As you can see,
it will open them separately in a new tab, each one of those. So those are ways how we can open the document in Photoshop. As I already mentioned, I choose and I prefer to
work by hitting Control 0 to bring up my images
or just go File, then Open, and that's it. We will get the same results. So that's everything
in these videos. In the next one.
11. Different ways to save file : Now let me introduce you
with saving in Photoshop. So first let's go ahead
and create a new document. Let's go to File. Then. Go knew it doesn't matter which resolution you
choose for this one, I just want to show you
a couple of things. Now, let's go ahead
and open one document. I will open this cat. Now I will pick Move tool and bring this image inside of it. So as you can see now we got our background and
the layer one. Layer one is the file
that we just exported. So if I want to save this file, I will go hit Control S. And we will get
this window open. As you can see from up here, we can change our
name. Let's go. I will type something
like practice k. And from up here, we can change a type. This is the source file. We cannot upload this file on Facebook or stuff like that. If we want to upload, our phi will go with J back or something like PNG
and stuff like that. But for now, let's go
stay with this PSD. Okay, when I hit Save, now as you can see from up here, it says our file
name is practice. So let's go and add a new layer just
to show you something. As you can see, this appeared this star or x, call it whatever you like. This is the Photoshop
telling us we have something that's not
saved in Photoshop. So if we again come up here and hit control S or command S, it will save it in our document. And now we can go
and continue with our work. Let's go ahead. Try. The second way is by
hitting together Alt, Shift Control and S. And guys, as you can see, we've got this window
that says Save for Web. From up here, we
can change preset. We can say with PNG, JPEG and stuff like
that from up here, we can change GIF or JPEG, PNG 824 and map from up here. If I go with JPEG, we can change our quality. Below, we got Image Size that
says width is 1920 by 1080. This chain is
activated by default. And from up here, if we wish to get this image smaller for around 50 per cent, we will just type up
here 50 per cent and it will reduce the size
for 50 per cent, 18. This is really easy
to understand. So this is the second way
how to save in Photoshop, K a will hit Cancel. We can get the same effect by
coming up here at the file, then go Export and from up here, Save for Web Legacy. That's the same way. It will open the
same window for us. And the third way is
let's go up here. Again, export. And now let's go Export. As, now as you guys can see, it's the similar window like the previous
one from up here, we can change our format, jpeg, gif, swag, and the PNG. This is the image size. We can scale it, and from up here, we can scale it. Let's go type
something like this. We can get it twice. And this is the benefit
of this option. As you can see, and
just Export All. And Photoshop will export
everything for us. Now if we want to save this
layer only in a second, we will go right-click
on it and just hit Quick Export as a PNG. And it will ask us where we
want to save it and just hit Save if we need from up here to save as a JPEG
instead of P&G, we can get that done by coming up here at the added
than preferences, then general, okay, Now
from up here we got export. And if I go and change from
up here, JPEG and hit, let's go with quality
with 100 and hit Okay, now when I right-click
on it from up here, you see export as a JPEG. That's it. If we click up here, Export As we will get the same
window like we got before. Okay? And as you can see from up here, we got this Star that says
something is not safe. So that's how you can save in different ways in Photoshop. But in most cases, we will go save our files, SLP as the PNG or maybe
sometimes as such apec, each format has
their own benefits. I will explain you
later in the course. What's the benefit
of jpeg or PSD or the PNG file and the
other files in Photoshop. So see you guys in
the next video. Bye.
12. Introduction with Layers : As a new Photoshop user, you're gonna find
that layer panel are incredible, powerful tool. The layers panel gives
you ability to isolate individual pieces of content away from the rest
of composition, giving you the
ability to work on individual elements
within overall document. They also keep your organised. You want to keep all of your content separated
if possible, because that's
going to afford you the most flexibility when
working inside of Photoshop. E.g. if you wanted to change
the appearance of this rectangular because
it's on its own layer. It's really easy. If it was mashed down here
with the background layer, it becomes far more
challenging at that point. But if we want to change, let's say the size
of the rectangular, all you need to do is select
layer and then choose two. In this case, I'll use
Free Transform tool, which is Control T for Windows users or
command T for Mac. And then you can make
your own modifications. So what we'll do is just make
this a little bit smaller. And once I'm happy, I will press Enter
or Return key. So by having this on its
own individual layer, it was really easy
and very quick to make a modification to
that piece of content. You have the ability to turn the visibility of
layers on and off. E.g. maybe you want
to look at this image without the rectangular to
see what it would look like. All I have to do is turn off the visibility by clicking
this little icon, you'll notice that the
content is no longer visible. Again, this gives you
additional flexibility. You can now save a version of this document without
the rectangular, but you still have the rectangular
information within the native Photoshop document. So if you ever need it to
turn it back, you can do it. You can easily create
new layers by coming up, down there towards the bottom of the layer panel and clicking
the New Layer button. This new layer, you
could add any content or paint any pixels that you would need to improve
this composition. If you decide you
don't want the layer, simply remove it by
clicking the trash can. I'll go ahead and confirm this. And you also have options for individual layers in terms
of fill and opacity. Again, giving you further
control over this layer, interacts with all other
layers within the document. With this rectangular
layer selected, maybe a one to drop the
opacity down a little bit. By doing that, I
introduce pixels, the background, into the
foreground of this layers. There is also blending
mode options. So we could come over and
choose the type layer. In this case, right now, the blend mode is set to normal. But you can see there's all sorts of
different blend mode. Honestly, you could spend an entire course
on blending modes. But right now, if you just
experiment with them, you'll begin to see what they do and what they accomplish. Basically, you're
controlling how the foreground pixels interact with the background pixels. Adobe built in several tools
to stay organized with your layers panel by clicking
this little folder icon. And you can also
filter your layers. It's not uncommon
to have hundreds of layers within
Photoshop document. What if you're looking
for just type layer? Well, there's Filter buttons
up here towards the top. If you click this button, you'll notice I'm only displaying layers
that are type layers. And you can turn off the filters by clicking the same button. And you can add as many
of those is necessary. So it's not just
one or the other. You can select the layers
that you want to view. Finally, you can also control the stack
order of those layers. The stacking order ultimately dictates in which order
those elements will appear. Right now, practice layer is
about the rectangular layer. I'll go ahead and set the
blend mode back to normal. When I do that, I
decide I want to practice layer underneath
there rectangular layer. I can simply click and drag it underneath the
rectangular layer. You'll see this highlight, which is an indicator
as to where you want to place this layer when
you let go off your mouse, you can see that the practice layer is beneath
the rectangular layer. One final note, you don't have that ability with the
background layer. The background layer is locked. So if I want to put background layer above
all other layers, you'll notice Photoshop
doesn't allow me to do that. If we want to unlock this layer, we'll simply click on this icon. And now we can move it. Layer panel are
really powerful tool. And as you work more
and more in Photoshop, you will find out that.
13. Types of layers in Photoshop: Understanding the types of layer in Photoshop,
photoshop elements, upper five kinds of flavours, Image Adjustment,
fill, shape, n-type. So let me tell you a couple
of words about each one of those where the most time we
will work with image layers. Each layer in an
image can be edited without affecting
the other layers. You can move, pains size, or apply a filter, e.g. without disturbing
a single pixel of any layer on the background. The second one, our
adjustment layers. We can find them if we go
up here and this icon. And those are our
adjustment layers. Adjustment layer is a
special kind of layer used for modifying
color and contrast. The advantage of using adjustment layer
is when we need to make some corrections
rather than applying them directly
on an image layer, we will use the
adjustment layer, e.g. let's go with hue saturation
and change the color of our background just a
little bit. As you can see. Great. Now we didn't affect
our background. We just apply this effect
into our adjustment layer. If I close this one, you will see this is
our original image. So we use adjustment layer
for those kinds of types. Next is fill layer. We use fill layer to add
a layer of solid color, gradient or pattern
like adjustment layer. Fill layers also
include layer masks. We will talk about them later. I just want to introduce
you with them for now. K, Again, we can find
fill layers from up here. Those three are our fill layer, solid color,
gradient or pattern. We can find them also if
we go up here to layer, then choose New Fill Layer. Let's go ahead and
choose Gradient. And I will hit Okay, we can name it whatever
we need or alike. And there we have it. And from up here, it will ask us which
gradient we want to apply. K we can apply something
like this or this, or something like this. If I go double-click up here, we can now see this
gradient editor. And again, double-click up here and we can change a color. Let's go to something like this. Hit Okay? And I'm satisfied with
white color up here. K from up here, we can change an angle, but don't worry
about that for now. And now we cannot
see our background. What happened? That's because our
gradient field is on the top of our layers. So we need to change
this blending mode to something like multiply and
maybe reduce the opacity K. And there we have it. This is with him, this is without it. Okay, that's it
for the gradient. Fill layers or fill layers. Next, our shape layers photoshop will let us draw shapes
with driving tools. Those shapes are vector-based, which means that the
shapes are defined by mathematical equations
which create points and paths
rather than by pixels. You can freely
resize those object without causing any degradation. And they're always printed
with the smooth edges. And we can find shape
tools from up here. Let's go with a
custom shape tool. And I will draw something like, I don't know this. And I will just
drag it up there. We have it from up here. We can change the color
and the stuff like that, K. And we can go and edit, give him some blending
options to make him look a little bit better. And that's it. From up here we can change to a multiply or
something like that. And that's it. And the last, but not least, our,
our type layers. As you can see, we've
got already one. We can find type tool up
here at the this icon. And we will use
horizontal type tool for almost 100 per
cent of our work. And let's go type something. Let's just say practice. Hit Enter or Return key. And now we have our type layer, as I mentioned in
the previous video, if we need to see
only our type layers, we can click up here. Or if we need to see
our Adjustments layer, I will click up here and we
need to see some images. We will click up
here as you can see. And now let's go see our shape. Great, and that's it, guys. I hope you all understand this. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask and
see you in the next video.
14. Start using Layers: Hello guys and welcome. In this video, we'll learn how
to use layers effectively. So for now, I got those
two documents opened. And as you can see, this is a blank document. Let's go ahead with this first, we got this background
layer locked. And if I go pick a brush tool and make
something like this, what we just did, we created this object inside
of our background. And that's true. We can only move
the whole image. And that's why we need layers. The FI go and try to
delete this layer and hit Delete Photoshop one
to let Me Why is that? Because this is the
only layer there it is in this document
and it's locked. If I go and create a new layer. Now, if I go up here at the background layer
and hit Delete, now photoshop will,
let me delete this. Now. I can go ahead and make
something like this similar. It doesn't matter what we drop. Now we can move this layer. And if I need to
create one more, we can create from up here. This is the icon for
creating a new layer. Okay? There is couple more ways
to bring up a new layer. You can also come from up here, a thin layer than New
and just hit layer. That's it. And it will asks you which name you'll want to
use for this layer. Okay? And the second way
is by using the shortcut, by clicking Control Shift and N, we will get the same window. Sal already mentioned
from up here. We will type name whatever we like and hit Okay,
and that's it. We can even rename those
layers from up here. Just double-click up
here at the text and Photoshop will let us to
rename those objects. Now, one more thing, if I go double-click up here, we will get this
window layer style. We will talk about this later, but I just want to show
you the difference if you click up here and
something up here. So that's the difference. Now, let's go ahead and
move with our stork. Let me show you what
would happen if I go and type something up here at
the background player? Let's just type Hello. Great. Now if I go up here and
pick eraser to delete this, look, what would I do? I will destroy this
image. And why is that? That's because I permanently
damage the background layer. So this is destructive
way of working. And please don't
ever do like this. Okay, I will go and
undo those steps. Great. Now let's go ahead and pick a new
layer from up here. And let's type
something similar. Hello. Great. Now if I go and create a
new layer from up here, Let's type something
like hello world. I would suggest you always, always and always
name your layers. Because sometimes you will
have dozens of layers opened. And if you're all layers are named something like layer one, layer two, layer three, and etc. Here will get really
hard time in Photoshop because you will need to close each layer to see
which layer is what. And by coming up here, just name it and it will save you lots of
times. Trust me. Okay, Hello World. And now let me go grab a new layer and to drive
something like this. It doesn't matter.
I just want to show you something similar like this. Okay. Let's go create one or two more. Now, I got those four layers
in each layer separately. I created those four layers because I want to
show you something. This is my currently
activated layer. If I hold Control and
click on other layers, it will also select them. Why I need to select them? That's why because I want
to add them into one group. We can move as many
layers we need into a one group and name those
group what they were we like. So if I click Control
or Command G, if you're using Mac, you will get those selected
layers inside of your group. And for now, we don't
see our layers, but if I click up
here, That's it. Those four layers are right
up here into our group one. And just like with
the regular layers, we can change a
name of our groups. Let's call it circle. Because I really tried to make
some circle with my mouse. It doesn't matter.
So let's continue. If you need to
ungroup those layers, it's simply just right-click
on it and ungroup layers. And again, we've got those
layers again into our group. Or if you need just this
layer and those two layers, you can also just select
them by clicking and holding Control and
clicking on your layers. Just hit Control G
and you will add them into a group.
Simple as that. Now if I go up here and
click to blending options, let me just make some
changes. As you can see. What I just did. I created this group and I will add some effects
into a group. And it will only affect those layers which are
inside of our groups. As you can see, Hello World and this layer for our
inside of our group. And it will only
affect those layers. That's how you work
effectively with layers. Sil already mentioned. Always try to name your layers because it will
save you lots of times, even if you sometimes think
it doesn't, trust me, it will really do save you
lots of time and effort. So that's it for me, you guys in this video and
see you in the next one. Bye.
15. Layer Masks basics: In this tutorial, we're
going to look at the one of the most essential
features of all in Photoshop that
our layer masks, we will cover exactly
what layer masks are, how they work, and why
you want to use them. So before we continue, please make sure you check out the Layer lesson in
this, of course. So what our layer masks then? Well, if the term mask
is what confusing you, replace the word mask
in your mind with transparency because
that's exactly what our layer mask does. It allow you to control
layers, level of transparency. That's it. That's all. There's nothing
more to them than that. Now, you may be thinking, but I already control the transparency level with
the Opacity options can die. Yes, you certainly can. The Opacity option right
here and the right corner. The layer panel also allow you to control a layer transparency. But here's the difference. The Opacity option change the transparency level of
the entire layer at once. As you can see, when I go
and reduce the opacity. If you lower opacity
level down to, let just say something
like 50 per cent. The entire layer becomes
50 per cent transparent. That may be fine
with some situation, but what if you want only part of layer
to be transparent? What if you want the left
side of the layer to be completely transparent and the right to be completely visible. That's actually very
common thing to do with a layer in Photoshop, allowing you to fade from
one image to another. But you can do that
with opacity opinion. Since I said, It's
limited to controlling the transparency of the
entire layer at once. What you would need is
some way to control the transparency
of different areas of the layer separately, what you need is a layer masks. So let's take a look
at the example. And I will go opacity up to 100. And I have up here to images. As you guys can see. Now let's go pick Move tool and move this image inside of this. Great. Now, let's, you can see
this is separate layer. And if I go and pick Brush tool, if I want to remove
those background, I will go with my brush tool. And just like that, we can do this job
or make it some selection of those
areas just like that. And also this is the way we
can delete the background, as you can see, but
this is working destructively and
in some situation you will need stuff like this. But I will always suggest
you to work with the masks. Okay, I will undo those changes. And right up here, I will hit up here
Add Layer Mask. And now, as you can see, this is our layer one
with the mask selected. Great. Now if I go up here and
pick a brush tool and add, as you can see, nothing
happens. Why is that? Because our layer
is already white. So if I want to remove
something from up here, they will need to go
with the black color. And let's go and reduce
the size of the brush. And just like that remote. And don't worry, I will
show you why I do this. Let's go ahead and make
something like this. Some rough. Ok. And there we have it. Let's go zoom in. You will see in a minute why
our layer masks are awesome. Okay? And we can go with the
whole image like this. But I want, I will
just stay with this. And to show you. Now as you can see, I will hit right-click on this and hit disabled layer mask. And what happened? We got our background back. Layer masks don't
destroy our image. Now let's go and enable
this layer mask. Now, if I go and pick
a white color as my foreground and go
over those areas. It will again bring them for us, just like that. As you can see. This is the power of masks. And also we can go change our color and
remove those areas. That's one way to
do it. Layer mask. I will delete this mask
and I will go up here. Let's go ahead and pick
Quick Selection Tool. Okay? I will select this background
because it's easier. Okay. And that's it. Let me zoom in to add those area or to remove
them from selection. Let's go hit Alt or Option key. If you're using Mac to remove those areas just a little bit. That's it. And from this side,
something like this. Okay. The rest we will
get with our mask. So I will zoom out
just a little bit. And now I will hit Control Shift and I together to inverse the
selection. And that's it. Now, let's go ahead and click
up here, Add Layer Mask. And now this is the second way to remove the
background from our mask. And now let's go ahead and pick a brush tool than as a
foreground color, white color. Make sure you select
this layer and go ahead, bring up something that we need. Okay? If I need to remove
just I will press X k. And now let's go
remove those areas. Maybe we can use
some soft edges, brush and to deal
with these areas. So I will leave this to you to make sure
you get this right. And I just want you to
know what our layer masks. Okay? And just go ahead, bring up some pixels
that we need for our, and let's go bring up
something for our image. Those edges and stuff like that. That's it. Simple as that. I will leave this
job to you guys. And if you have any questions, just please feel free to ask. As always, I'm here to answer for and to help you
with your projects. And I hope you all
can learn this. It's really nothing
special with those things. And as you can see, I can remove something
from up here. And you will need some
time with those edges. But now I hope you all
get how masks work. Great. And now if I want to close
this mask, just disable it. And we got our
background up here. And this is how we can work with masks and to not
destroy our images. And that's it. Final results.
16. Move Tool: In this video, I want to introduce you with
the most common tool that you're probably going to use when you're
working in Photoshop. Name of that tool is move tool. As you can see, this tool is
up here at the top panel. It's first tool. The shortcut is we, so remember that
shortcut we move to. So let me show you what
can we do with this tool. But first, let's go create
something like this. I will create this
object in the new layer. Let me fill it with black color in a
second, and that's it. Now, when I wish to go from this from paint bucket tool
or any other tool, I will go press V and there
we have our tool selected. So as you can see
from the Option bar, you got auto select layer, Show Transform Controls,
and those are alignments. So let's start. As you can see
when I go up here, just by clicking and dragging, I can move this
object a new layer. As you can see, this
object is on a new layer. So now when I press Alt on
my keyboard or Option key, if you're using a Mac, you will see those
double cross arrows. So when I go just like this, I will duplicate
my current layer as you can see in a new layer. And once again, I
can do that and that's it one more
time. And that's it. We created three copies
of our layer one. As you can see, Photoshop will automatically
give them a name, Copy, Copy to, copy
three, and etc. So what's important
with this tool? As you can see,
we've got currently selected this option
outer select. So that means if
I go click once, you see how our layer panel
change, let me show you. If I go click once up here, you see my layer one is selected automatically and I can
move it wherever I like. So if I wish to move this one, I can move it also
just like that. But what would happen if our
outer select is turned off? Let's see. As you can see, this is
the last layer we used. Now if I wish to move this one, We'll stay with my
layer one, copy three. Why is that? Because it's not outer. Select Photoshop don't recognize
now which layer we want. It will only select the last
one or selected this one, or let's see, layer one. And if I wish to
move this one now, it will move only my layer one. So that's it. And now if I
go and check this one, yes, you can see just by
clicking on my layer, on my object in a layer, I can move it and
do whatever I like. So that's it. That's how our outer
select work in Move tool. As you can see from up here
we got layer and group. So let me show you. If I press Shift and hold
and go over those layers, it will automatically
select them. As you can see currently
I selected those three. Now, when I wish to
do the same thing, Let's just say we need this, this, and this one to select. So I will just hold
shift all the time, click once up here, once up here, and that's it. And now we got those
three selected. I will move those
three in one group. So now if I go click up here, group, I will move
those three as a group. As you can see, that
nothing special. This is really easy to use and you will use this
tool in everything, whatever you do,
you need Move tool. So remember, shortcut we, for our move tool, when you wish to
move layer by layer, just click up here, layers. Or if you need
groups, hate groups, and you can move groups
and make sure auto select is because it's really
simple to work like that. At least it is for me. And if you are beginner, it should be really helpful. This option is selected. So if I click up here, Show Transform corners, we
will see if I press up here, it will automatically
bring this up to me. Now I can move this transform
and do whatever I want to. We can also get this
option than if I press Control T or
Command T of using Mac. And we can get this Free
Transform than if I wish to get it proportionally
larger or smaller, I will hold Shift. And as you can see, that's it. So I will undo this one. I usually keep this one
turn off and I think it's easier for you if you are beginner
to work like that. So let just say from up
here I selected those two and I can align them and
do whatever I need to. So that's how you align
them in Photoshop. It's really simple. And one more thing
before I get done with this lesson is when I press
shift and move my object, I cannot go free. I cannot move it freely. It will go or horizontally
or vertically. I can move it wherever I like, but if I press Shift, I can only move it
horizontally or vertically. That's it. If you guys having trouble
finding this tool, you can always come up here
or press Control F to get this search box and just hit
Move tool type Move tool. And you will get your
move tool ready. And as you can see there
it is our move tool. From the right side you see
the shortcut and there is a name of our goal and we
can find it also here. So that's everything
for me in this video. See you guys in the next one. I hope you got this right. Bye.
17. Working with groups: In this video, I will show
you how to work with groups. So let's get started. The most important thing
when you're working in Photoshop is to
stay organized. Sometimes we will use e.g. when one document we will have like 50 or even more layers. So what's important
is to stay organized. So e.g. let me show you
FI go create some shapes, some random shapes
just like this. As you can see. Give me a minute to show you
what I'm gonna do. As you can see, each one of those shapes are
in a new layers. So when I go with some text, never mind whatever I type, I just want to show you how
we need to stay organized. As you can see now, we got really messy thing. It's not that messy. But if I go with
something like this, or even, even more, or if we got more
images up here, or even 50 layers or more, we will have really, really hard time when we need to edit something or
find some certain, specific layer that we need. So what's important is
to stay organized by holding Control and just
clicking on my text. I can select them. As you can see now, my layers, that is tags there are
selected and from up here, I can go click on this icon
and add them in a new group. Or shortcut is Control J. As you can see, now, all of my text is in one group. This is really important. So now if I wish from up here to add those
shapes in one group, I can go click once up here
at the first and the bottom. By holding Shift, it will select Automatically
everything, what's between those two. So by pressing Control J or clicking up
here on this icon, I can add those in non-group. You think we don't see them, but if I press up here, you see there are our shapes. So that's it. And now I can go rename those. From up here. I will choose to type
something like shapes. And up here at the group one, I will also rename
and I will type text. And that's it. Now, if I wish
to add those in one group, I can see, as you can
see from up here, I selected those two groups. It doesn't matter, I can
still add them in one group. So I can name this group
something like practice. And now when I press up here, you see we got two groups
inside of our main groups. And now when I press
up here on this one, you can see this is our texts. And now I can go Come up here, added this text or add
some options up here, drop shadow or
anything like this. It, okay, and that's it. We can apply any effect
we need just like that. So this is really important to know when you're
working in groups. So guys, keep that in mind. You will see later in the
course when we got to the point where we need to
create some business card, you will see why we need
to work with groups. We will have maybe
like when you worked 30 or even 50 layers
in one document. So it's important to stay
organized, the name, Each one of groups to know
which layer is where. So that's everything from me. This video, this
is really simple and it's really good
practice to work like that. This is a good practice. I'm talking this
especially to beginners. So if you're a beginner, please take a minute or two
more to stay organized, to add your layers into
groups to name them, to know which layer is where. Because later you will
see it will be much, much easier for you. Or when you get to
the point to sell your design to your clients, it will be really easier
also to them when they got really good and
prepared document for them. So that's it for
me in this video. See you in the next one.
18. Photoshop Shortcuts for class: Hello guys and welcome. In this video, I want
to introduce you wait, the most common
shortcuts that we are going to use in this course. Those shortcuts are
really useful and it will save you lots of time
when you're using them. So it will take some time to implement the use
those shortcuts. But trust me, your work will be much better and easier when
you're using shortcuts. So let's start. First. Shortcut that I want to
show you is our move tool. So e.g. if I use this tool or some other
tool, it doesn't matter. I press we automatically, I will activate my
move tool, e.g. let me go type something
like gets this larger. E.g. like, he doesn't matter. Okay. As you can see now, my type tool is activated, but when I press my, we automatically, I can go and
move this wherever I like. So this is Move tool. The next tool that
we are going to use a lot is our brush tool. Shortcut for our
brush tool is B. Just like that. So
as you can see guys, we cannot go and paint over this text because we need to
rasterize this layer first, then we can go and
paint over it. But if I go at my
background, now, as you can see, we've
got our brush up here. And the next shortcut that
we are probably going to use whenever we use our brush tool is left and right bracket key. So right bracket key is to
get our brush size larger and the left bracket key is to get our brush size smaller. So right bracket key get larger, left bracket key
to get it smaller. Simple as that. Next tool that we are going
to use is our eraser tool. Just by pressing E
on our keyboard, we got our eraser
tool and we can edit and erase
anything that we need. So that's about our eraser tool. And the next shortcut
that we are going to use, probably in any work we do in Photoshop is our undo command. So when I press Control Z, it will go step
back or Command Z. If you're using Mac,
it doesn't matter. It's the same thing. So next tool that we're going to use is our paint bucket tool. By pressing G, we automatically bring our
paint bucket tool, e.g. let's create a new
layer by just pressing once we fill the whole
layer with this color, with our foreground color, That's about paint bucket tool. The next tool that
we're going to use, the shortcut for it
is our type tool. Shortcut is T. So guys, you will need, as I mentioned before, a couple of days or weeks. It doesn't matter. It's individual and how
much you work in program. But when you go over
those shortcuts, trust me, your work
will be much easier. The next thing that I want
to show you is how we swap foreground and
the background color. So whenever we use
our brush tool, e.g. let me go on my
background layer. When I go and paint over this. As you can see, it will
bring my foreground color. If I need white color or any other color that
is background color, just press X on our
keyboard and we will get this color automatically
as a foreground color. It will swap those two
colors, simple as that. Next is Control Plus to zoom in document or Control
minus to zoom out. Next thing, the FID, the screen, you need to go and
press Control zero. Next thing that we need is our free transform shortcut for this is controlled
automatically. I can go and reduce the size of my document
of my current layer. And this is something that we're probably going to use a lot. So keep that in mind. Next thing that I
want to mention is when we need some square, the all lead just
need to be the same. You need to hold Shift and
it will automatically, properly reduce or increase each corner of your document
or if your selection, Excuse me, That's it. Next we have our
inverse selection, e.g. now, let me show you, if I go up here, create a new layer. This is my selection. When I press G, I will automatically fill this
selection with white color. I will go one step
back control Z, and now I will hold
Control Shift. And I, now I inverse
this selection. Now my selection is
everything except this area. So let me show you. When I press, once, you see this is my selection. So keep that in mind. The next shortcut is maybe the
most comment in Photoshop, and that's Our new layer. How we can create a new layer. We, sometimes we
don't want to come up here each time when
we need a new layer. So we can create a new layer by just hitting Control
Shift and N. We have this pop-up
menu and just hit Okay, and it will automatically
create a new layer for us. And the last thing that we
probably going to use a lot is our control J to
duplicate current layer. As you can see, FI go at my background layer
and press Control J. You will see I will
create a copy of it. So guys, that's the
most common shortcuts that we are going to
use in this course. It's really simple. Take sometimes take
maybe half an hour or even an hour to
practice with shortcuts. It's really easy. It's really easy. And when you do that, See you in the next videos. Thank you for watching
guys. See you.
19. Introduction with Selection Tools: Hello guys. And as I promised in this video, I will introduce you
with selection tools. As you can see currently, I have activated
quick selection tool. If I go up here, big rectangular marquee tool, it will be activated. When I drag just like that. It will move
something like this. And this is our
current selection. I can move this selection, I can copy this selection
and I can paste them. So as you can see, then let's go ahead
pick lasso tool. If I press Shift, it will bring up this
cross upon our selection. Then if I go from up here
and do something like that, it will bring up this area into our selection,
as you can see. But if I press Alt or
Option key on Mac, we will get this minus. As you can see, now if
I go over this area, it will remove from our
selection just like that. Now, if I press Control G, I can move this, everything, what's inside
of this selection? I can move it into a new layer. Watch out our layer panel where phi press Control
J or Command J. If you're using Mac, we will create this
into a new layer. But we don't see
anything right now. If I turn off this layer, this background
player, you will see this is our selection. Great. Now I will go some
steps backward. There we have it, our
starting selection. So if you are having trouble with selection and
how to find them, you can just go up here and
type whatever you like. Just go something like this. Let's go try Quick Selection. And you will see, if I press W, we will get this Quick
Selection Tool, activate it. And as you can see,
it's from up here. Let me grab my move tool. If I press V on my keyboard, it will bring up my move tool. Then if I press W, it will bring up automatically
our quick selection tool. As you can see from up here, we can change the size
and stuff like that. We can also use left
and right bracket key. For, if I press the
right bracket key, you will see how my brush
is going to be larger. Then if I go and it will bring up more into
the selection, it will be faster. But with tricky areas, we need our brush to be smaller. So right bracket key
is to get your brush larger and the left bracket
key is to get it smaller. Just remember this,
if I press Alt, it will remove from our
selection alt or option key. But if I press Shift, it will bring up
into our selection. So keep that in mind. And in this section
we will go and talk about Rectangular Marquee
Tool, Elliptical Marquee Tool, Lasso Tool, polygonal
lasso tool, Magnetic Lasso Tool, also Quick Selection Tool,
magic one tool. And also I will teach you how to use Pen tool to
create selection. As you can see
guys for map here. This is currently
activated lasso tool. If I go and pick polygonal
lasso tool and then press L, Let's go just first, pick a week to get Move tool. Now, if I press L again, it will bring up this polygonal
lasso tool Photoshop. Remember the last less Sue
tool that we are used? So if I press
Magnetic Lasso Tool, then I work with some brush. Then again, I press L, it will bring up the
last one that I used. So keep that in mind. And from up here you
can see shortcut key for these selections. Great. And last thing I want to
show you in this video is how to get rid
of your selection. Just press Control D or Command D to remove
your selection. And that's it. So that's everything
for me in this video. See you guys in the next one.
20. Marquee and Elliptical Tool: In this video, I want
to introduce you with Rectangular Marquee Tool. Let's go ahead and
create something. As you can see, shortcut
is for this TO great. Now we got our selection
just like that. I can move it and place
it wherever I need. Great. Now, if I go again
and hold Shift, I can bring up into our
selection just like that. And this is our selection now. But if I press Alt, it will remove from
our selection. Great. But keep in mind, if you go again and
type something up here, just like that, I will
lose my first selection. So make sure you don't do that when you're
making selection. I will undo this step. If I wish to add
something from up here. Just go again and press Shift and hold it
until you're done. And now we got two
separate selection, but they work together. I can move them just like that. Great. If I go again and hold Alt, I can remove from our first
selection just like that. Then from up here we got
this adds to your selection. We don't need to
hold Shift anymore. Just go with your
mouse and it will bring up into your
selection just like that. It's really easy to use and maybe you will
use this sometime. Great, just like that. And the second one is basically what Alt key
or Option key on Mac, it will remove from your
selection just like that. Great. I hope you all understand this. It's really basic thing. And the last one is
something like this. It will remove everything. If I don't select it, it will save only the thing. What's inside this, what's inside this new
square that I'm making. Everything else, it
will disappear only, will select it be what
the inside of this. If I press and release
my mouse cursor, we will get this. This is all what's
inside my new selection. And I hope all understand this. It's really easy. And the same thing we got
from our elliptical tool. We can create
something like this, some circles and
stuff like that. Again, we can add
to our selection. Maybe if you go and
create some clouds for your game assets
and stuff like that, or some background you will
see later in the course, we will use this tool
to create some clouds. Let's go and create some Cloud. It will be really
fast, just like that. Get this cloud effect. Great. Now let's go big something
like gradient tool. Okay, we can pick our color. Let's go from up here. Maybe we'll choose
some color like this. Great. And from up here. Okay? And just like that, this is our cloud, or we can basically go and add some some white color on it. Let me just paint over it. And that's it. But what we just did, we destroy our image. And why is that? That's why because we didn't create a new layer from up here. Now our background
layer is destroyed. Lucky for us, we got option to undo those
steps in Photoshop. Great. Now let's go again
and create a new layer. Then from up here, just go and now
go and fill this. Great. Now if I go and
pick my move tool, I can move this cloud
wherever I want. And if I wish to close
it just like that, we don't need that
cloud anymore. One more thing about
Rectangular Marquee Tool. Just go and create
something like this. And if I press Shift, it will create perfect
square for me. Just like that. This is my free with
my mouse cursor. But if I press Shift and hold, it will create a perfect circle. Then if I press and hold shift
and move just like that, it will reduce or get
it large properly. That's it. The same thing we can get with this Elliptical Marquee Tool. If I go just like this
with my mouse cursor, you see this is some eg. And if I press Shift, it will create a
perfect circle for us. If I release, that's it. Now, we can go ahead and reduce
from this just like that. Again, if we press Shift, it will create a perfect circle. And what's our selection now? Is everything inside
of this area. Great. Let me just paint it
for you to explain. That's it. This is our selection. Great. I hope you all understand and
see you in the next video. Bye.
21. Lasso Tool: Of all selecting tools in Photoshop deal with Sue tool is probably the easiest to use and understand because
you simply drag a free hand selection around the object or area
you want to select. In a similar way to how you would outline
something on a piece of paper with a pen or pencil with the
Lasso Tool selected, your mouse cursor will appear
as a small Lasso icon. Let's go and grab
it as you can see. And we simply click on this part and drag around and
make selection. That's it. To complete, the selection, simply returned to
the spot where you began and release
my mouse button. You don't necessarily have to return the same spot
as you started from. But if you don't, photoshop will automatically close the
selection for you by drawing a straight line
from the point you release your mouse button to the
point where you started. In most cases, you will want
to finish what you started. Let me explain it. As you can see, we
simply drag up here, if I release Photoshop
will from this, but connected from the start, these c, That's it. Okay. I will undo, unselect this. If I say that the Lasso
tool is not one of the most accurate
selection tools in Photoshop that would be true. But lawsuit to have
that ability to add or remove from any
selection precisely. You will see later
in this video, I find the best way was to
work with lasso tool is to drag initial selection around the object or area
I'm selecting, ignoring the obvious
mistake I made, then go back and improve them. So for this, it will take
maybe a minute or two. This is rough selection,
just like that. If I go this area,
it's not precisely. But you will see later on. Great. I will select this. I'm from up here. It's not, as I mentioned,
the most accurate. But it can get job done. Great. And that's it. We made our selection. Now, I will zoom
in this document and improve those selections. As you can see by holding shift, I will add to my
selection just like that. Now, it's really easy to improve those
steps I made before. Great. It will take some times, but you know what I'm trying to do up here, just like that. And I can go with the
whole image like that, but it will take lots of times. I will go this faster. Let's go ahead and pick
Quick Selection Tool. It will select the
most of it because it's really easy to
recognize those dots. Now I can zoom in and improve. If there is something
to improve, like those area up here, I will go and pick list pseudo. Now by holding shift, I will add into my
selection just like this, just like this, Excuse me. And I will zoom in more to
improve those tricky areas. Great. Now let's move on. This area a little bit. And I think that's it. Maybe removed from up here a
little bit. Let's zoom out. See, is there everything I
need to add this little bit? I will undo this step. As you can see, those tiny
improvements we do with this. Let's show too great. That's though much. I need to zoom in to make sure my selection is really precise. So I would recommend when
you work with those things, you need to zoom
in your document. Great. And that's it. Also, what's important is the
quality of your image. Always work with
high-quality images. Because if you work with
low resolution images, this will be really tricky
job for anyone in the world. But when you have
high-quality images, it should be really easy
for anyone to do this. Great. I forgot this area. And that's it. You see there is lots of job for this. Great. One more there. It's really hard to
select everything with Quick Selection
Tool because there is lots of details on images. And we can improve that
selection by coming up and do the heavy
job for Photoshop. That's it. Now I can
assign mentioned before, use this to get it in a new
layer by hitting Control J. Or we can add from up here mask, or if I go step back. Let's go try at some
hue saturation. Now, you will see
what just happened. This effect will only
apply on our selection. We can change the color, but I wouldn't
recommend doing this. Maybe sometimes I can go get
it saturated or D saturated. You can get black and white. That's it. So you need to experiment
sometimes with the Photoshop. And that's everything
you need to know about lawsuit tool for now, later in the course, we will apply this
tool more and more and you will understand
everything about it. So seeing the next video. Thank you for watching. And if you have any questions, just ask, I will
be here to answer. See you there.
22. Poligonal Lasso Tool: In this video, I will introduce you with polygonal lasso tool. It's another basic
selection tool. It's a bit like a cross between rectangular marquee tool and
the standard lesser to both. We are looked at the
previous tutorials. It allow us to easily draw free form selection outlines based on a straight
sided polygon shapes. But while the
Rectangular Marquee Tool limits us to
grabbing foresights, polygons, rectangular,
or squares. The Polygonal Lasso Tools. Let us draw as many
sites we need with as much freedom as
the lawsuit to give us the move at any
direction we need. So from up here below, Lasso tool, we can find
polygonal lasso tool, drawing selections with
Polygon Lasso Tool, it's like dropping straight
sides bad with the pen tool. Begin by clicking
somewhere along the edge of the object
or area need to select. Then release your mouse button. This adds a point, commonly called anchor
point to the document. As you move the Polygonal Lasso
Tool away from the point, you'll see the straight line extending out of your mouse
cursor looking a little bit like spider
webbing overlap with another end of the line
attached to the anchor point. Polygonal lasso tool is unlike the standard
last Sue tool, as well as many photoshop
other selection tool, there is no need to
keep your mouse button held down as you move
from point-to-point, simply click to add a point. Release your mouse button, move to the next point where
you need to put your line, and then change direction, then click to add
a new point again. So once we made good selection, I go up here at the beginning. You will see this little circle. That will mean if
I press up here, this will be my selection. Let's go ahead and
press. And that's it. This is our selection rate. I hope you all understand this. Now, let's go ahead and
create a new layer. But let me zoom in to
show you something. Great. This is our need to
zoom out a little bit. This is my object that
I want to select. Let's go from this
point from up here. Then I will move
my line up here. At the end of this. Again, I will add one
more point from up here. And that's nice. And at the end you
will see this circle. When I press, it will create selection
now in a new layer, Let's go just paint something. They will use some color. Let's go with this green,
something like this. Okay, just paint over it. Now. We have this
in a new layer. Let me zoom out Control D to de-select because we are
Move tool. And that's it. We just created another
object with selection. Great. Now let's go with this triangle. It will zoom in to get my
Selection more precisely. Again, I will go pick
Polygonal Lasso Tool, and this is my starting point. They will add point
here, here and there. It will close my selection. Great. I will zoom
out a little bit. They will create a new layer. They will fill this layer
with something like this by picking this
paint bucket tool, just like that, Control D
to de-select and beaker, we move it just to show
you the risk copy of it. Or I can move this below. It doesn't matter. Great. That's it. That's the basic things
about polygonal lasso tool. If you have any questions, don't forget to ask
me because I am here to help you
understand everything. In the next video, Bye.
23. Magnetic Lasso Tool: Hello guys. In this video, I will introduce you with
magnetic lasso tool. As you can see from up here, the magnetic lasso
tool is one of the three Lasso
tools in Photoshop. First is standard lesser tool, second is Polygonal Lasso Tool, and now we have our
Magnetic Lasso Tool. One thing that I forgot to
mention in previous video, when you have
something like this. As you can see,
the suitable have three different
tools in this group. Or this from up here, Quick Selection Tool,
or as you can see, rectangular marquee tool or any of those tools
actually does. Go ahead, e.g. let's go become brush by
hitting B on my keyboard. Now, when I press L, it will bring up, as I
mentioned in a previous video, the last that I used from
up here, Let's Sue tool, shortcut L. And as you can see, the last iOS is
Magnetic Lasso Tool. But what if I wish
to go from brush, from my brush and now I want to go and pick
standard lasso tool. And I'm lazy to go
with my mouse cursor, or I will lose some time, or I will want to do
it with my shortcut by holding Shift and pressing
L on my keyboard. It will switch
between those tools inside of this group or e.g. we can do the same with
brush or any other tool. Just go hit Shift and hit B. As you can see, it
will switch between those tools inside of our group. Great, now we can go ahead
and continue with our work. As you can see, I will hit
and pick Magnetic Lasso Tool. Why is called
Magnetic Lasso Tool? Well, unlike the
standard lesser tool, which gives you no help at all, and release entirely by your own ability to manually
trace around the object, usually with less
precise results. The Magnetic Lasso Tool
is edge detection tool, meaning that it actively search the edge of the object
as you are moving around it then snaps the
selection outline to the edge and cooling
seat like a magnet. Great. Now let's go ahead and try it. As you can see from up here, we got this image and those edges we can
say are well-defined, as you can see, to
begin selection, just simply go, click
at any spot up here. You wish that is started point. I will go with this. And now as I move
my mouse cursor, it will add those
dots and it will apply it into our selection. It's not perfect. I will explain you why Photoshop down to
recognize those color. In a second. Just let me go and
finish with this. As you can see, it's
not 100% perfect and that's because we don't
have good image for it. Okay, now let's go and
close this selection. And now let me zoom in. As you can see from up here, you can see there is
not good selection or from down there or down there, as you can see, n. Why is that? Well, that is because do you see those
edges are not clear enough and Photoshop
don't recognize it as a thing that needs to be
inside our selection. Now, I got those two documents to show you something similar. As you can see. Again, we've
got our Magnetic Lasso Tool. Let me zoom in. And as you can see, it will be really easy for
Photoshop to go and trace this object because there is our fears
difference in colors. And it will be easy to do it. Great. Okay, I hope you all
understand this. And one thing, frequency, e.g. if I wish to add more
details up here, let's go try it with 100 DC. Now, there is too much dots. There are more frequent. Now. This is good thing to
know because sometimes we really need it
with this subject. We don't need too much frequency because it's easy to trace it. But with tricky things, you will need to get your frequency as much
larger as you can. So again, I will cancel this. Let's go stay with 40. And now let's go to our image. Let's go and try to
trace this image. Let's trace only the
skin, only the hands. Great. Let's go
start from up here. As you can see, I'm doing
really well for now. There are not too much frequent, but it doesn't matter. Still I got good-looking
selection for now. And why is that? Well, that's because the
color difference is obvious. This will take a
minute or two maybe. So you can go and skip it. And as you can see, this is really good selection. Only those tricky areas. We will need to go with our standard lawsuit
and improve this thing. But I'm really satisfied how this selection
looks for now. And let's go close
this service rate. As you can see, from
those tricky areas, there is a problem. And that's why we
need to go and pick our standard Lesotho by
hitting Alt or Shift. We can remove those things
from our selection. Because in this area, Photoshop see too
much similar things, too much similar colors, and it's not sure
what do we need. So for those tricky areas, we need to get our
standard lasso tool. With magnetic lasso tool, we can get maybe 80 to 90 per
cent of our selection done. But those ten per cent
we need to go and do it by our own manually
width last Sue tool. As I'm doing right now. We already learned
something about Sue tool. I hope you all can get this. If you have any
questions, please ask me. This should be really fun
thing to do in Photoshop and I really enjoy
making good selections. As you can see from up here, this is a tricky one. Grade. This see, there is too much similarly
colors in this area. And that's why Photoshop can do good thing about
those things. Great. Let me zoom out. And now we can go and do different things
with our selection. And this is our starting one. The same thing we
can do with this by coming up and
hitting lasso tool. And it will take maybe a
couple of minutes more for it, but I hope you all get it right and see you
in the next video. Bye.
24. Quick Selection Tool: Hi guys and welcome. In this video, I will introduce you with
quick selection tool. As you can see, we can find
this tool by coming up here and click once up here or
press W for the shortcut. So what Quick Selection Tool, as the name says, it will make a quick selection
for us, just like this. If I go with over, with my mouse cursor by holding
the left key on my mouse, it will select everything
inside of this ray. This is good for this
quick selections. It won't get perfect selection because as you can see, and you, and you saw in a previous video, this image is tricky for selection because edges
are not sharp enough. And it's really tricky. But we can get a good job in just few seconds with this tool. As you can see, I'm almost done. And that's it. This is our quick selection. Now we can go and as I said, improve those edges, weight last Sue tool and stuff like that. Or we can go and try with
our Select and Mask option. We will discuss about
this later in the course. But just to show you
something really quickly, this is our selection right now. If I move this selection
in a new layer, it will look like this. As you can see, we missed
a spot right here. Let's go cancel this and add this into our selection rate. On your left bracket key. You can get this brush smaller. On the right bracket key. You can get it larger or
by coming up here and move it this size to get it
larger or smaller brush. Great. Now let's go ahead and click this option,
select and mask. As you can see from up here, we can change view mode
and stuff like that. We don't need that right now. But I will just go and move this smooth effect
and also feather. And you will see in a
second what happened. See how those edges
are not too sharp now, this is too much. Let's go back. Great, maybe just
a little bit more. And that's it. This C, It's not
like when it's zero. That's it. We can get those, whether something like this. And by clicking Okay, when I move this
selection in a new layer, it will look like this for
not have a sharp edges, it will be just like this. Okay, Let's go hit. Okay, and now I moved
this into a new layer. We can see this
is the same thing with the previous k I will undo. And that's it. Let's
go with our second. As you can see, if
I just click once, it will automatically
select this square. Why? Because there is
obvious difference in this. Great. They can let me zoom out. We can also invert selection, but about that later. And let's go make a quick selection of this
two hands with those. Just like this, as you
can see in a second, we got almost perfect
selection. Why is that? Well, that's because it's really obvious
difference in colors. And with Quick Selection Tools, when we got high-quality images, we can get really good
selection just in a few seconds of working on it. So that's everything about
Quick Selection Tool. I hope you got this. Feel free to ask me in
Q&A section and I'm here then's for each
question you ask. So see you in the next video.
25. Magic Wand Tool: In this video, I will introduce you with
the magic wand tool. This is one of the oldest
selection tools in Photoshop. Unlike other selection
tools that select pixels in an image based on the shapes or by detecting object edges. The magic wand select pixels
based on the tone and color. So as you can see, I created this image to explain you something
about this tall. You can find this
stole from up here, as you can see, Magic Wand Tool. Then as you can see, this is all one layer. Now, if I go and click
once at this yellow, you will see it will select
only the yellow one. Or if I click up here, it will select only
what's inside. Because it recognized there
is difference in colors. And the same thing from up here. If I wish to add more into this, just by holding shift, you can bring up in selection. We already learned that. So I will unselect this. And that's it. Selecting those color
is really easy for this stall because there is
no similar color near it. So if I go and
click once up here, do you see what just happened? There is the tolerance,
that's called tolerance. So this time Photoshop select an entire row range
of brightness values, rather than limiting itself the pixels that were exactly
the same tone and color. This time Photoshop select the entire range of
brightness values, rather than limited itself, the pixels that were exactly the same tone and
color as the middle gray area. I click then. Why is that? That's called tolerance. As I mentioned. As you can see from up here, our tolerance is 32. That means by default, it's 32, which means that Photoshop
will select any pixels that are same color as the
area we clicked on it, plus any pixels that are up to 32 shades darker or
32 sheets brighter. In this case, my gradient, which contains a total of 256 brightness levels between and including pure
black and pure white, as you can see from up here, is pure black and
pure white color. Photoshop select
the entire range of pixels that fall between 32 shades darker and 32 shades brighter
than shade of gray. I initially clicked on. Just like I do up here. As you can see, up here, it will select 32 darker
and 32 brighter color. So let's go try with 60. Okay? Now, if I press up here, this see this range is larger. Now, it will select
from my spot here, it will select 60 darker
and the 60 brighter colors. Now let's go ahead and
type tolerance then. Let's see what's
going to happen. As you can see, it will select only ten of the left and
then from the right, darker or lighter colors. And those are basic
things you need to know about how this magic
one tool works. Later in the course, we will work with those stalls
and you will see how to use them and apply those
knowledge into your projects. So guys, see you
in the next video. I hope you all understand this. If you have any questions, feel free to ask
and see you there. Bye.
26. Tricks with selections: In this video, I just want
to show you a couple of cool things about
selections in Photoshop. Those are really
good tricks and you will find yourself
using them a lot. So my first trick for
you is how we can get this color change with
our strawberries in a second. So let me explain. You. Just go up here at deselect, then go and hit Color Range and just press once up
here at the red color. And maybe I will hit Shift. And to get this plus
what this mean. This mean as I press the Shift and click
at the other spot, it will bring that also into our color ring, just like that. Okay. And that's it. Now,
let's go hit Okay, and see what's going to happen. Do you see this is
really something. Now let me go grab from
up here, hue, saturation. And just like that, Let's go and change the
color of our strawberries. Let's go with this
color in a second. Did you see that? This is width, this effect and this is without in a second. This is cool trick to know. My second trick is going and create your selections
with the pen tool. Just like this from this part, we will learn about Pentel
later in the course, how the pen tool works. And as you can see, this is our path. If I go up here at the pads, do you see this is
our pet of this. Now, if I press and hold
Control or Command, if you're using Mac
and just click once, it will convert this
into our selection. Just like that in a second. Now, I can go and fill this
selection with any color. Just painted. And that's it. As you already know, to get selection of just
hit Control or Command D. And that's it. This is now into our
background player. But what if I go up here at
big rectangular marquee tool, make some selection,
something like this. And also painted, excuse me, I didn't hit which layer I want. Let's go hit layer one, Control D to de-select the. Now, what if I want to get selection of this
layer in a second? How we can go and do that
does come up here to layer up here to Image and
hit control or command. Just hold it and click
once and it will automatically select everything
what's inside this layer. This is cool tricks to know. Those are cool tricks to know. And you will see
you will use them a lot and it will save
you lots of time.
27. Practice: Selection Tools: Guys. Now when we know basic about
selections in Photoshop, I got a little job for you. So what you need to do, first, you need to get selection of this object and move
it into a new layer, then the change this
red color to agree. And after you get the all that, you need to go and put that
up here in this image. So how you are going to do that? I think you all know, pause this video now
and go on your work. You will have these images in description of
this video lessons, download them, open them, and try to get this done. This is really important
to try by your own. You can watch this
video after that. And I will explain
how I can do that. But what's important
is to try by your own, to try to understand how you can get the job
done in Photoshop. So pause now and see you
in a couple of minutes. Okay, now, for me, I will go and hit this
Quick Selection Tool. Make this brush
larger and select quickly this object because it's the fastest way and
it's really precise because we mentioned
about this difference. And now let me zoom in. And as you can see now we
can improve those things. I will get my brush
smaller. Great. Get that done. Cool. Now let's move on. Everything's fine. You can go with
lawsuit tool also, but I found this quickly. And it get job perfectly. I'm just checking dosages. Everything's fine. I'm satisfied with it. About here. Year,
everything's good. We can get this. Great. Just a little bit up here. And that's it, I think. Yeah. Now when I'm sure that I got
perfectly good selection, I will go hit Control J and move this selection
in a new layer. As you can see, that's it. That's awesome job. Now, I will hit V and move
this, just drag-and-drop. Just like this up here. Now, this is, this
image is too large. I need to rescale it. I will hit Control T. It will zoom out this object
and I will get smaller rate. Now I can place it, I will hit Control Zero to fit the screen or Command
zero and that's it. Great way job. It's not perfect background, but you get the point. Another way to get this job
done is just coming up here, hit Control C to copy. And from up here, Control or Command V to
paste, just like that. And we got the same
thing in a new layer. I will delete this layer, but that's up to you how
it's easier for you. I show you two ways. Great. Now I will undo that
and let me zoom in. We got one more job to get this red color in,
agreed, Great. Now let's go up here. Select, then hit Color Range. I will select up here. We'll add a couple more times. Great. And now just hit, Okay. Let me zoom out. As you can see,
those little things are similar with our color. I will go because
our lasso tool, I will hit Alt to get
it from our selection. Great. Now let's go ahead and
hit Hue Saturation. We can get this
effect from up here, or we can go up here at the image adjustments
and find hue saturation. Okay, now let's go and
bring up hue saturation. And I will hit colorize. I will move this to
something like this to agree in and go with
saturation around here. And let's go zoom
out to see results. Yeah, everything's good. I'm satisfied, and that's it. I hope you all got this. We can also get
some cool effects by coming up here to
blending options. We can go add a drop
shadow to get this effect. Let's go try it on rate from up here we can turn
off this shadows. And that's it. I hope you got this. It's really easy. I hope you have fun with it. And in the next video.
28. Introduction with Brush Tool : Hello guys and welcome. In this video, I want to introduce you with
the brush tool. The brush tool and
the brushes in Photoshop are really,
really important. And I hope you will get
this section right. I will try to make it easier. It's really easy. There is no heart. Tools in Photoshop. All what's matter
in Photoshop to understand which
tool when to use. And that's the hardest
thing in Photoshop. Let's go and begin with this. In this video as I
lower dimension, I will just introduce
you with the brush tool. The shortcut for our
brush tool is B. As you can see in this
set, our pencil tool, color replacement tool,
and mixer brush tool. Let's go with brush tool. As you can see from up
here at the options panel, we see some things, e.g. from up here, we can change the size of our
brush. Going left. We'll get our brush smaller, going to write it, we'll get it larger. Hardness and the
softness of our brush. Well, basically, when I
go with hardness at zero, the edge of my
brush will be soft, as you can see. With this. Now let's go with 50%. Is the same brush, same size. Only. What I change is hardness. Now let's go with 100. As you can see, there
is obvious difference in edges about this too great. I will undo this because I don't want to destroy my image. From up here is
direction of our brush. We can go. Those are brushes in Photoshop that
Photoshop offers to us. We can go with this. Let's go just to
show you something. Great. Let me go and click just once. Great. Now, let me rotate my brush. They see now I changed
direction of my brush. And that's what I
wanted to show you. Great. And from up here, we can change the blend
mode of our brushes. Let's go with the same
thing with something like light and it's the
same color, same thing. Just just when I press, we don't see nothing
as you can see. But if I paint, you will see, it's a
little bit different. Great. We will discuss
about this later. For now, I just want
to show you opacity. Opacity, let me reduce to 50, something around that
and go paint over it. But let me set the blending mode to Normal
to show you something. This is with 53% opacity. This is transparency. Basically. It will reduce the opacity and it will
became transparent. It's about 50%,
53 to be precise. Now, this is with 100, there is no opacity. Let's go with that. Rate. And flow is something
similar to opacity, but there is difference. We will discuss about that
later in the course grade. And this is a new
option that came up with the last
version of Photoshop. It's about those edges. Now, as you can see, it, I can make pretty
nasty edges because I paid with my free form
hand, with my mouse. Now, if I go said this
about 60 per cent, it won't get me make
those hard edges. Do you see how it's
solved those edges? Great. Let's go try even more with 100. Now, Photoshop want, let me
make those tricky areas. This see how this area is clean. There are no tricky
things like this. Maybe this is not
perfect brush for this. But never mind,
Let's go with this. Just coupled time. Let
me undo those steps, create a new layer. Great. Now let's go with
modeling with 100. This PSC, there is
no tricky areas. Now, let's go try to make same thing with
smoothing to zero. You see, it's really
hard to work like this. Maybe when I use my tablet for
driving this with my hand, I want make something like this. Maybe it will look
similar like this, but with the mouse is
really tricky to paint. So that's good thing to know. But anyway, we will
discuss about this later. And from up here at this wheel, we can go and import brushes. If you have saved brushes
and your PC or Mac, just click Import, show
location, and that's it. When you do that, you can find your brush up here. We will also create
our custom brush, but about that later
in the next videos. So those are basic things
about brushes in Photoshop. So guys, thank you for watching and see you
in the next video. Bye.
29. Spot Healing Brush Tool: In this video, I
want to introduce your weird spot
healing brush tool. As you can see, I prepared three different images to show you the power
of this though. So let's start. We can find this stole from up here at the our tool panel, or just press J, right? This is the same thing like
the most tools from up here. We can choose a
size of our brush, hardness, spacing, angle,
and stuff like that. Blending mode type. And this, this is really
important to check. We don't want to
work destructively. As you already know
that we will create a new layer and it will
apply this on a new layer. Let me show you what I mean. If I go and delete this
layer and turn off this, then let's go
create a new layer. As you can see,
nothing happened. But if I go click
sample all layers, they will see this
will disappear. Same thing up here. Basically what this tool does, it will go from up here. As you can see, this
is tricky area. Let me zoom in. Photoshop, recognize this as something different and
we want to remove it. So it will go just
by clicking once. It will remove that
object for our image. Just like that. Great. These results are
pretty amazing, even if I'm really
zoom in this image. Great. Now, I will go and
get my brush smaller and just pressing up here
at this tricky areas, it will remove them
from our image. We can also paint like this. And that's okay. Great. This is really good
results for now. And that's it. I think we are almost
done with this image. Now. I think you all
know what this told us. Let me zoom in to show your
results before and after. This is before, and this
is after in just a second. But what's important when
you're working like this, you don't want to
destroy your image. So create a new layer and hit this sample all layers and type. We will almost always
use content aware. We don't want to create
texture and proximity match. So choose Content-Aware
blending mode to Normal and brush depends
on what size you need. On the left bracket key
you get brush smaller, right key, you get it larger. So basic things like the same. Great. Now let's go to our second. This will be a little
tricky because there is lots of things to
get done in this image. So let's go get started. Let's go try this big ones. At the beginning. I'm just clicking around. And photoshop automatically
remove that for us. It will not always remove
everything as you can see because there is
too much of them. We will need to go
patiently with those areas. Great. We will use this tool basically
for portrayed images, for portrait photography, but we can use it for
other things too. You will see later
in this video. And if I wish to get this
image to the perfect, I will need maybe
five or 10 min, so I won't go very
detailed about that. I just want to show you basic things about
this tall rate. Now, let's go try it on. This is with our effect, and this is without, this is original and
this is with our effect. In unjust minute of working. You see those areas. There is lots of
job to get it done. This red thing up here, we can improve that, but I want to lose our
time right now on that, Let's go to our third image. As you can see,
this is not skin, but we can use our spot healing brush tool to
remove this from image. Just paint over it. It's really simple as that. And as you can see, now, this shirt is clean as new. So I hope you got this. If you have any questions, just please feel free to ask me. Like I always mentioned in
almost each video at the end, because I really
want to help you and see you in the next one.
30. Healing Brush Tool: Now let's talk about
healing brush tool. And you will see difference
between those two tools. So as you can see, again, I got several images up here. Basically what
this tool does and what's the difference
between those two tools? Healing brush tool, we'll take a sample and what sampled us. Well, let's go from up here. Let's take sample
from this spot. Now, this is our brush. And from up here
with the sample, now you will see, when I paint, you will see this grass at the our butterfly. It will bring up
those pixels around, up here at the new spots, at the new place that I wish. Just by painting over it. As you can see, just like that. Let me explain you in a second just to finish with
this butterfly. Great. It's absolutely the same
one. As you can see. I just painted over it. It will bring those
pixels from this spot. And now if I paint over, you will see when I
move my mouse cursor, this cross is following. Now, as you can see, if I took sample from up here, we can paint this butterfly up here and it will
look like original. We do those things with
healing brush tool. It will bring up those pixels. It will not bring 100 per cent those pixels at the first time. As you can see when I go to
the example from up here, this is not the same color and
nothing is the same color. And I need to paint
over a couple of times to get it at
the same place. This is really tricky
to work sometimes with, but it's really easy with this image because there is no difference in the background. Background color is the same. So this looks really
simple and easy. The same thing up here. We can go take a sample from up here and just paint over it, and it will go and
hide our plane. I can go with a
larger brush sample. Just like that. No one would ever said
there's a plane before. But if you didn't follow, I destroy this image because
I work destructively. Let's go hit a new
layer and make sure you take the sample
at the current and below. Great. And now we can do
the same thing. And we will make
this plane go away. But we did that on a new layer and we didn't
destroy our image. So this is the
image from before. Let's go to show you
something about this, how this tool is powerful. As you can see, we're almost
done with this image, but there is lots to
improve in this image. Let's go create a new layer. Now. Makes sure that the sample
is current and below, I will get this brush smaller. And now I will take a
sample from our peer. I will get it smaller
a little bit. Now, I'm going to apply
something about this image. Great. What's important? When you move a lot, you need to always
the case sample. You hit Alt and you will take a sample just
by hitting Alt. Your brush will convert this. It's really precise. So the sample, and
it will bring up that color for you and we
can now paint over it. Those tricky areas. You will see later what
we got with this store. Okay, Give me a minute to go and you will see
results soon enough. We need to combine those
two tools when we work with this kind of images,
it's really important. And we cannot do
100% good job with just one tool we need to combine with this
portrait images. It's really tricky areas
sometime like this. You see, this is really, really, really
tricky to work with. But even after I got
finished with this, this image is not 100% ready. So there's a lot
things to get it done. Never mind. I just want to show you
something about the stove. We are almost none. You need to practice
with those tools. It's really important. You need lots of practice
with those stalls. And I think you can get from now to show you just
before and after. This is before, and
this is after. You see. There is lots to improve. Still. We need to improve. This knows about up here
there is lots to improve. Again, from up
here we can go and waste around 30 min to
improve those areas. It's really tricky,
but at the end, results will be amazing. But what's important to understand is how
those tools works. So I hope you all got
this and that's it.
31. How to create and save your own brush: In this video, I just want
to show you how to create your own custom brushes and maybe you can sell them and
earn some cash from it. But let's assume you
need it for your work. So how we can create the
brushes from those objects. As you can see, I got
flames from up here. It's the different
types of flames. And from up here, I got this heart in fire. How we can go and create
brushes from the, from this. Okay, now let's go
and start first. Let's come up here
and unlock this. Just like that. Really simple. Now, let's go double-click up here to bring up
this layer style. We will discuss
about this later. But for now, what's
important to get rid of this black color
and in background. So how we are going to do that? Let's go remove this, this layer and remove
this around here. But as you can see, those tricky areas
are really sharp and we don't want
that for our brushes. So how we can deal with this? Let me just go back
a little bit more. Now when I'm holding Alt
or Option key on Mac, from the right side of this. I will just hit and drag it out. And it will remove those tricky areas for
us just like that. And I will hit, Okay. Now, when we got rid
of our background, let's go ahead and
create some brush. I will go and pick
polygonal lasso tool. And let's just say, I want this. Okay, I will make
selection around this. Just like that. Now let's go to Edit, Define Brush Preset,
and let's call it. I will call practice
one and just hit. Okay. Now we got our brush and I
will use this brush later. But for now, let's go with our second image and we will do a similar
thing for this image. I will unlock this
background layer, double-click up here, and
remove this background. As you can see,
it's really tricky. Okay? And I will do the same thing by holding Alt on the
right side of this. I will remove those tricky
areas around that is fine. And hit okay. Now again, I will hit
polygonal lasso tool, make selection of this object. Then go to Edit and choose,
Define Brush Preset. Let's go call it practice too. Okay, Now we got our brushes. Let's go and try it on. And one more thing. What's really important when
you're making your brushes? You go always width
larger images. If you go this way, always try to work with larger images because when
you go, let me show you. You can see from up
here I will choose my brush tool and
let's go at the end, will be our brushes. As you can see, practice
one in practice. Let's try it out. And I will use some alias and
blue color I think for it. Okay, it's really important, but just like that, and that's our brush
that we just created. What's important for
size, as I mentioned, it's important to
work with larger, larger images when you
create your own brushes. Why is important to work with larger images when you're creating your own
custom brushes. Well, that's because
when you look e.g. we got this pretty
good and large brush. But if my image was really lower quality and the size will be
really just like this. Maybe when I try to increase
the size of my brush, we will get something
that's called pixelized, and we don't want that. So it's really important to
work with larger brushes. As you can see,
this is our brush one and go where the
brush number two. Let's go with the red
color and try it on. It's really big. That's why I'm telling you, I will undo this and I will
increase the size of it. As you can see, this
is our heart inflate. It's really amazing. A fact, as you can see. One more thing before I
finish with this video, you can create your own
custom brushes and sell it. You can earn some
extra cash from it. But the thing Q will
go buy your own because I want to cover
that in this course, maybe in some next. So guys, thank you for watching. I hope you're all goddess. And those effects
are really amazing. As you can see, it's
really stunning effect. And see you in the next video. Thank you for watching.
32. Practice: Brushes: Hello dear students. In this video, I got a
little practice for you. And I wish you go in this alone. What I mean by that alone, because you watch
those videos about healing brush tool then the Spot Healing Brush
Tool in this video, I want to go buy your own. I want from you to go
and remove this bottle, this up here, this object, this tricky one, and maybe
couple of things from up here to make this
image looks even better. So the next thing is
this from up here, I wish to go and remove
this cigar from our image. So how you are going to do that? That's your job now and
put a pause on this video. And when you're finished
with your work, come again and see
how I get it done. It should be really easy. So let's start. Wait, I assume you got this really quickly
and easily because it's really easy and I think
you all got this right. So let me show how I
can get this job done. I will use just this tool, healing brush tool
because it's really easy. And I will take sample
from this spot and just paint over it as
you all ready know this. Just like that. It's really amazing. Now the example, remove
that again from up here. Great. I just want to remove those black spots as
you already see them. Just like that. It's really easy. For this image. I think I
don't need more than 1 min. Just like that. And maybe
a little bit up here. Weight, as you can see, results are fascinating and
we got it in a new layer. Let's go check it out. This is before and this
is after in a second. And what's the most
important thing up here is this looks natural. This image looks really natural. And this is before
and this is after. That's really
important when you're working in Photoshop, e.g. when you got your client
and sometimes they will get with crazy ideas and maybe
he or she will tell you, you see this image. I don't want anyone to figure it out that work in Photoshop. So it's really important to
your images looks natural. And this is the second image. It's really easy. This though. Take a sample and
just like this, paint over it. That's it. So guys, I hope you all
got this and it should be really fun and easy for anyone
who fall of the scores. If you've got any questions, I'm here to help and that's it. See you in the next video. And thank you for watching.
33. Crop Tool: Hello guys. Here in this video we will
learn how to use crop tool in Photoshop and how to
use it to crop images. Either the specific sizes or aspect ratios or to any
free form shape we need. We will also learn some handy keyboard shortcuts
and lots of other stuff. So let's get started. As you can see from up here, we can go and pick a crop tool. Just like that. The shortcut key is C, As you can see from up here. And let's go try
something with a store. We can go and move
this slider around here and get any form
we need of our image. And that's it. Now, if I go and
apply this effect, this will be our image, but we don't want
to work like that. I will undo this step. The second way to
use crop tool is just coming up here
with this tool and dragging something
like this or anything like your selection
and everything, what's inside this boundary
area will be our image. The rest of that, We'll go away just like that. And I can apply this
effect by coming up here, clicking this icon or hitting Enter on my keyboard or
Return key for Mac users. And the third way is just double-click up here and
it will apply this effect. But what we just did, we destroyed our image. Why is that? That's because we
permanently deleted the area around here and we
don't want to work like that. So I will again go ahead
and make a step back. Now we want to go up here and uncheck this delete
cropped pixels. Now let's go again and
try to drag something like this and apply. Great. We got the same results, right? Well, that's not
absolutely the truth. Now let's go for a move to end. Now as you can see, our image is in Dutch, but we can move this
just like that. It's a whole image
and as you can see, it's no longer here. Our background
layer that slogged. It's a new layer. And we are safe. Our original image is in Dutch. So we can go from up here
and rename this layer. Great. Now, let me go zoom
out a little bit. Now I will hit Control T
for our free transform. And as you can see, this is a real
size of our image, but this is our canvas area. Everything what's inside
is our canvas area. But this is a real image and we don't see the whole image. But we can move
those pixels and to place it around here
to fit the screen. Go hit Control or Command zero. And you will fit the screen. And it will be easier
to work like this. Or you can zoom out by hitting Control or Command Minus or
Command Plus to zoom in, Command minus to zoom out. Great. That's it. Now, from up here, Let's go pick a crop tool. As you can see, we
got this ratio. We can go and pick a
new ratio we need. As you can see, this
is square one by 14 by five and the others. So it's up to you which one
you need for your work. Let's go try one-by-one. Great. And as you can see, we got our square. Now if I wish to move
this proportionally, I will hit Shift on my
keyboard and this square will stay in a perfect
dimensions rate. Again, we can apply this. And just like that, we can move it around. So that's everything
about crop tool. Don't forget. If you don't see entire
image about some layer, you can go maybe use
the move tool of that particular layer
and move it just like this to place it
anywhere you need. And that's basic things
about crop tool from me. See you in the next video.
34. Eyedropper Tool: Hello guys and welcome. In this video, we will discuss something about eyedropper tool. This tool is really useful
and let's go try it on. As you can see from up here, I got five different colors. So when we go up here and pick up eyedropper tool,
just hit once. And as you can see
from our color, from black, we got this color. Now let me go again,
the default settings. Let's go click once. And now we got this blue color. And now if I go and hit
double-click up here, you will see this is
our name of our color. As you can see. Great. Maybe when you're working, sometimes you need really
specific name of color, and this is name of the
color in Photoshop. Let's go try this on. As you can see, this see
how those numbers changed. Let's go with this green. Each color have their
own unique number. Great. And that's it. Now,
when we got this, right, okay, Now let's
go hit once and hit B. To get our brush tool. I will get my brush larger. And the now make
something like this. What they just did. Well, basically, what
eyedropper tool does. This is our foreground color, as you already know, and this is our
background color. By default in Photoshop, those are black and white. But if we press eyedropper tool, it will bring up this
tool for us. Great. Or if you using already up here, using brush tool and you'll
want sample of this color. Just hit Alt or
Option key on Mac. And it will automatically bring Eyedropper tool for
you just like that. And now this is our
foreground color. We took a sample and we
can go and continue with our work and draw
anything we need. Let's go with the second one. It's really simple and easy. Grade this. I'm just messing with those colors as you
already know this. And that's it.
That's how you can go and work with this tool. It will save you lots of time when you're working
with the shortcut. When you go from up here, then go find this tool, click once, bring a sample, then again, go back
with the brush tool. You will lose lots of time. So basically you need
to go and practice a little bit with those tools to start
using the shortcuts. Shortcuts are really important in Photoshop and
it will save you, as I mentioned,
100 times already, lots of buy-in and
thymus brushes. So keep that in mind guys. Ncaa in the next video.
35. Red Eye Tool: This will be probably the
shortest video in this course. And in this video, I just want to show you
how red-eye to work. From up here, we can
change the size, dark, and amount, and that's it. So basically, as you can see, this is my little brother. I really loved this guy. And I'm using this image because you'll see those
red eyes up here. So it's really easy to
go with this store. Just go hover the eye. And that's it. Boom. There is no more read
things on his eyes. We will do the same thing at the second eye. And that's it. Basically, that's
how this tool works. And as I mentioned, it's really easy
and fast to remove those red eyes from
any image you want. So see you in the
next video. Bye.
36. Clone Stamp Tool: Hello guys and welcome. In this video we will discuss something about
Clone Stamp Tool. The Photoshop clone stamp
tool allow you to copy one area of an image into
another area of an image. It's extremely easy
to use and one of the programs tool that you
will turn to quite often. So let's start. As you can see, we can find
our tool from up here. Shortcut is as its
standard brush tool. As you can see from up here, there are several options. Let's go check that out. It's the same like all
brushes from up here. We can change the size, hardness, even a
brush from up here. As you can see, our
brush settings. Over here is our clone source. We will discuss about
this in a second. From up here, Blend Mode, opacity, flow, aligned sample. As you can see, this you already know we
discussed about this. Let's go to our layers, create a new layer. And we can go sample current
and below or all layers. But I like to work with
current and below. Basically, what this current and below does when I
select my layer one. And it will affect
background player. It will take samples from a background and apply
it in a new layer. So let's start to see what
Clone Stamp tool does. Let's go take a sample. We got dislike with
healing brush tool. And the 99% of people do the same job with healing brush tool and
the clone stamp tool. I will show you the
difference in the next video. In this video, I just want to show you how this tool works. It's basically similar
like Healing Brush Tool, but there's a difference to
know which tool to use when. Basically what this target do is it will take a
sample from this spot. And when I move my mouse cursor, it will bring up
those pixels up here. Let's go paint this
butterfly in a new layer. And just like this, it will paint it
something similar, like Healing Brush tool. So let's go from up here. You can see Show Overlay
this, see this area. When I go take a
sample from up here. Now you see this, what's inside my brush. We see that if I turn
off this Show Overlay, you see we don't see that
anymore inside of our brush. This could be really
useful sometimes when you work with some tiny images
with small brushes, you need precise move. You will probably need to
turn off this show overlay. But with stuff like this. And even if you are a beginner, I suggest you to check this. And only if you are 100% sure, go and turn off this. Great. That's it about this stole. This is a basic tools, as you already
know those option, It's really similar like
the Healing Brush Tool. But I got clone stamp tool. And what this target does, I want to show you this when I press Alt or Option key on Mac, we will get this
target and it will book sample from this pixel. You cannot see this pixel because let's go take
a sample from up here. Let me zoom in. This is one pixel. When we start to see some web, as you already may, we can see this is some web. And now everything
what's inside of this one tiny thing
that's a pixel. You see there's
millions of pixels. As you can see. Let's
go check this out. Image and image size. Let's go to pixels. And this is our width. And this is, hey, let's go. Let me bring up my
calculator to show you in a second how much of
pixels there is. One, let me multiply
this number with this. That's the number of
pixels in this image. There's 38040. Multiply with this,
see this number, almost ten millions
pixels in this image, in a single image. As you can see, those are really similar colors
in those area, but this pixel, each pixel
have their own colors. So imagine that there's
a lots of lots of work that Photoshop
need to get this done. But as you can see, when I go with this
healing brush tool or even clone stamp tool
and I took this pixel, this will be my point. And we can go with our
brush tool and take a sample from this color
and justify go up here. It will bring up this color. So that's how little
pixels are in this image, and that's it for
me in this video. I hope you all got this. And in the next video, I will show you the
difference between this Clone Stamp tool and the Healing Brush
Tool because they are really similar
in some cases. So make sure the checkout, this next video, Bye.
37. Difference between Healing Brush Tool and Clone Stamp Tool: In this video, I want to show
you the difference between clone stamp tool and
the Healing Brush tool. Both of these tools let you
select the sampling point. This is the part of the
image you want to keep and paint over distractions
and blemishes. The clone stamp paints a complete copy of
whatever you select. However, the Healing Brush Tool keeps the highlights and shadows of whatever you're
painting and only paint the color of
your sampling area. This makes the clone stamp much, much suitable for areas
with defined edges, since the Healing Brush
Tool will normally bluer the color and you'll end
up with messy edges. So let me show you, as you can see from up here, we got those images that
we work before we dose. Let's go with this
healing brush tool. As you can see from up here, I will take a sample
by hitting Alt. And now let's go try to remove this object
or this flower. And as you can see, it's really hard with
this tool to get this. It's impossible, to be honest. Let's go try with this flower. As you can see, we got
those messy edges. It's not what we
need to currently. That's really tricky
to work with. Now let's go a couple of times. And, and let me go and pick
our clone stamp from up here. I will take a sample and
let me get my brush larger. To make this faster. As you can see, it's really
easy for this to hold. Great. Now let's go with this flower. As you can see, there is no problem at all
with this thought. So, I hope you got this. Now, let's go with
this second image. Let me get my brush smaller. The biggest difference from up here for those two
tools is this. Let me show you with
healing brush tool, the healing brush tool. Let me take a sample
from up here. Now, let's go paint over this. But let's go create a new layer, current and below, or we
can select all layers. Never mind. Not that
much important for now. Let's go take a sample
and now let's go just paint or so
what this told us, it will blend with
the background. That's the main thing with
this healing brush tool. And if I go and pick clone stamp tool and do
the same thing, Let's go. I will create a new layer
to show you from this spot. It will bring everything
from up here. It doesn't matter. These stole done blend, it, just bring up that area 100%. So as you saw in this previous
image that we tried to do. Now let's go and paint over it. Like excuse me, we don't see
anything because of this. Now let's go take a
sample from up here. And as you can see, it will bring up
100% from up here. It doesn't matter. It will not blend with the background like the
previous tool does. So for this tricky areas, I suggest you to work
with healing brush tool with edges and stuff like
this with this image, you'll go with this tool. But clone stamp tool is
better for this kind of job. So keep that in mind. I hope you got the
difference between Let's go one more time
over those two tools. The difference
between those totals, Healing Brush Tool
will blend with the background and it will
create something like this. It will healing brush tool is better for this kind of job. But if you want to remove
something hundred per cent and it doesn't matter
for you to blend in. Then you'll go with
this clone stamp tool. I hope you got this right. So that's it. See you guys in the next video and thank you for watching. Bye.
38. Eraser Tool: Hi there and welcome. In this video we will discuss
about our eraser tool or background eraser tool and
our Magic Eraser tool. Those are similar tools. So let's get started. We will start with some
basic eraser tool. Great. As you can
see from up here, It's something like brush tool. As you can see, that's it. Nothing special. When I got this tool activated, I can go over and paint over it. You think I'm deleting
those pixels, but know what this
eraser tool does. Now, basically, when
our layer is locked, like his case with us, it wants to delete those pixels. It will just paint over it
with our background color. As you can see, our background
color is currently white. Let's go swap those two color and see what's going to happen. Now, this C, we just paint
over with the black color. But what will happen if
I go and unlock this? Let's go now, try it on. As you can see currently, this color is our
background color. But now I'm really deleting
those pixels from our image. How is that? That's because
our background layer is unlocked and I'm deleting
those pixels like forever. The only way I can
get them back is if I go and do those areas. So let's go couple times undo to get this image
at the starting point. Great. I hope you got this basic thing about
Eraser tool from up here, we can change our size of
our brushes hardness modes. As you can see from
brush, pencil, our block capacity
flow smoothing. And that's it. I won't bother you with those assumptions because
we go through them with our brushes and I think
you all understand this. So let's go continue with
our background eraser tool. Let me zoom in
just a little bit. Great. Now, what will happen
with this store? As you can see, let me get my
brush a little bit larger. When I got this tool activated, you will see this circle and inside this circle,
a little cross. So from up here, we can take a sample
by hitting Alt. And what this tool does, basically, as you can see, if I go and paint over, it will delete my image. That's not something we want it and that's not
something we need. Let's go one step back. Now. Let me check protect
foreground color. And let me zoom in just
a little bit more. Now, as you can see, let me go to default now to swap those
two colors or whatever. Now, when I take a sample of this color and paint over it, it won't delete them 100%. And if I reduce the
tolerance around 14%, Let's go now try it on. If I go and paint
over this area, USE we don't delete
our black color. That's because we press this
protect foreground color. Basically, what
will this told us? It will delete the
background that's different from your
foreground color. As you can see, we said
with our, by hitting Alt, we created this color as
our foreground color, and that's something black. As you guys can see, our foreground color is black. And if I go over this area, it will delete it
100%. And why is that? That's because the
color is different. Let's go see it. As you can see, it's really deleting that pixels and that's
something we don't need. Let's go. And for this area, Let's take a sample
of this color and now just go and delete the background for our
image. Just like that. Now again, for this area, take a sample of this
and just paint over it. And as you can see, we're deleting our background
pixels from our image. Just like that. It's really
easy and simple to use. And that's something that we are going to use
maybe in some project. And this area is really tricky. You will need some
times may be couple of minutes to get this here
right from the background, but results, I'm sure
will be amazing. So that's something about
this background eraser tool. Now, let's go to
Magic Eraser though. Let me go and undo those steps. Let's see what's
going to happen. If I press just once up here at this area, just like that. You'll see, we said our time. This is really tricky
areas to deal with, but with this tool, as you can see, but it will recognize the color that
you need to delete. And let's go with
this second image. As you can see, the
obvious difference in color is up here. Now, just one click up here. It will delete our
sky from our image. This tool works similar
like magic one tool, but let's go try it
on just one hit. And as you can see, we deleted our background
color, our blue color. So it will delete the
color that's similar. Let's go hit just wants up here. And do you see what's happened
with destroy our image? Let's go one step back to
show you why this tool deleted almost everything
from this image. That's because this color
is almost everywhere. You see, it's almost everywhere
this color and it will delete that color
from the whole image. I hope you got this
just by hitting once they see it deleted
everything from our image. And we need to be careful
when we work with this tool. This tool really can
save us some time, as you can see from up here, if we go with this store with background eraser tool
with those Syria, we will lose maybe five, 10 min, maybe even more
with those tricky areas, but this tall save
us lots of time. Maybe we can go and
improve this by hitting this Background Eraser tool from up here and delete
those tricky areas. But I won't do that
in this video. Because my point is here just
to show you how these tools work and I hope you is if you have any
questions about this stall, just please let me know and see you guys
in the next video.
39. Gradient Tool: In this video, I will introduce you with
the gradient tool. So let's get started. We can find the
gradient tool from up here at the our tools panel. And, or pressing G sharp
and G gradient store from up here is linear gradient, radial gradient,
angular gradient, reflection gradient,
and diamond gradient. So each one of those
are different. So if I took linear gradient, it will create
something like shades from the starting point
to the ending point, a straight line. Just like this. If I release, you
will see what I get. Now, let's go with
this second one. Radial gradient. Shapes from the starting
point to the ending point in a circular pattern does
like this, as you can see. Next, will be our
angular gradient shades in the counterclockwise sweep
around the starting point, as you can see now, let's go with our
reflection gradient. Mirrors the same linear gradient on either side of
the starting point. Just like this. As you can see, let's
go from up here. It's like a mirror. So this is good to know. And the last is our diamond
shapes from the middle to the outer corners of a diamond pattern,
just like that. So that's it about
this tricky area. And from up here we
got some presets. As you can see, if I click, they will choose this
one or this one. This is, this is transparent. As you can see. It will go from this spot, this, but it will
be transparency. Let's go create a new layer. This. And again, it's
transparency applied. So that's good to know. And if I go and choose
this one, hit, okay. Let me go to my
background layer. Dislike this. It will now bring up the white
color on the other side. So from up here, we can go and add
a new gradient, or we can reset them
load gradients. And from up here, we
can add more gradients. Let's go try this
on F I click, Okay, it will remove those and it will apply just only this
harmony is one. And if I click Append, it will bring up, but those will stay. Okay, Let's hit a band. And now we got
something like this. Okay, from up here,
as you can see, the name of this
gradient is red angry. As you can see,
gradient type is solid, smoothness is 100 per cent. And from up here, if I go and
double-click up here, now I got color picker, I can move this,
change our color. You will see the color will automatically
apply on this end, we got a little preview up here. So that's good to see. Sometimes when you work. If I'm satisfied with this
color and this green, I can go and create with this. I can also save this by
just hitting this new. And from up here we
got our new gradient. We can change a name. Let's call it practice.
And that's it. Next time when I go up here
at this gradient editor, we will get our
practice gradient. So that's good to know. One more thing. If I press Alt, I will bring one more up here. Those little diamonds
are on middle currently. Why is that? That's because this
area is smooth. Now, if I want this to
be really hard edge, I can go and bring up this
to one or the other side. But if I go up here
at the middle, this see how this color is constantly changing
the data point. So that's the effect we want
with almost all gradients. And the same thing up here. But we cannot see
difference between those. And if I wish to add a new
color up here, just like this, I can go hit this color though, K, and that's it. Now I can change this slider. You'll see how much
color it will bring up, up here at this area. So that's good thing to know. Let's go apply this effect
on our butterfly layer. But first let's go
create a new layer. And I will go from
this spot, this spot. And when I release, we will get this. But I will go and change
our blend mode. Let's go. This is a multiply. We can reduce the opacity
to get cool effect. Or we can go continue to
see which effect is good. Maybe this is fine, as you can see before and after. This is good one, maybe reduce a little opacity. And this can look
really nice. That's it. If you wish, from up here. If you don't need to go, create a new layer, if you are sure if you want to go with your background layer, just, let's go delete this
layer and blend mode. Let's go up here,
the same thing. Let's go with capacity at 55% and apply the same
effect as you can see. But now, what's the difference? Now we can go back, basically we
destroyed this image. How is that? Everything is up here is okay. But if I wish to go step back, I will need to go with and do. I cannot added this like I can when this is on a new layer. So I will suggest you
always work on a new layer. You don't need to work like
this to destroy your images. And one more thing from up here, if we go and create a new, let me go, make a new layer. And let's go with gradient
like this. Great. If I go from this part, this part, we will
get this effect. But if I go and hit Reverse
and undo this step, go from up here again, now this effect is reverse. So keep that in mind. And one more thing you need
to know is go from up here, Let's go just make selection. And now even we don't
need this layer. And let's go with our
background layer. Now, what if we got some
selection just like this? And we need to apply some
gradient from up here. And what's going to happen
if I release my mouse, it will only affect what's
inside our selection. That's some golden
rule in Photoshop. The current thing you
do with any tool, Let's go pick a brush
tool and paint over it. It will only apply
in the selection. In the current selection, it doesn't matter if
there is 100,000 layers, it will only apply effect
on currently selection. So keep that in mind. And that's it about this talk. I hope you got this guys if you have any
questions, I'm here. So seeing the next video. Thank you for watching.
40. Paint Bucket Tool: Hello guys and welcome. In this video, I will introduce you with paint bucket tool. There is nothing special
about this tool. It's really easy to
use and understand. So let me show you in a minute. This will be, I think,
really quick video. Basically, you can
find your tool from up here as a standard
tool from up here, paint, bucket tool,
the shortcut is G. And from up here we got similar setting
like with ordinary. From up here, there are
several options and basically similar stuff like with other tools in Photoshop. From up here we can choose to, we wish were Paint Bucket Tool go as a foreground
color or pattern. We will always work
with foreground. Next from up here we got mode. Which mode we want for this paint bucket tool to
fill this layer or anything, opacity tolerance, anti-aliasing
and stuff like that. So let me show you in a second. And as you can see, when I activate my tool, we will get something like this. This bucket. You see this icon
below our mouse. So that's, that's
icon of our tool. Once I click up here
at the background, it will automatically fill the whole layer with this color, which color is our foreground? Can go again, and that's it. Now let's go and
create a new layer. And from up here, Let's go again with
some similar color. Now we only see the
color in the last layer. Why is that? That's
because this layer have priority and mode is normal. If we change mold or something like that or reduce opacity, then we will allow layer
below to get up here. That's some things
we all know for now. And that's basically it. We can go and create
something like that. And now let's go create a new layer or we can
stay with this layer. Never mind. Let me go
pick this black color. Let's hit G for our shortcut. And now when I press up here, it will only affect what's
inside my selection. So you can go with the neural
layer and still it will only select the lonely affect what's inside
our selection. So keep that in mind. Be sometimes you will need
similar stuff like this. Now, let me de-select this. As you already know. This is a new layer,
this red color. We can move it and
make some changes, but about that later, and let's go to
our second image. As you already know this image, let me go again. Pick a paint bucket tool. What will happen if I
click once up here, we will get messy things and why we get
results like that. That's because let
me undo this step. That's because our
tolerance is at 32 points. This is default setting with
photoshop about this stall. So let me go try with one. Now, if I click, you'll see almost
nothing happened. And now let's go to maximum. Great. Now let me go and
fill just one click. And almost everything
is affected. And why is that? That's because tolerance
is now at the maximum, but we will stay with 32. We already know about this. Let me undo those and now
let's create a new layer. I need to remove those two. Let's again create a new layer. Now, if I go and click once
up here at my layer one, this will affect
the whole layer. We can change the opacity
or some blend mode. Let's go to multiply, reduce the opacity, and
we will see results. Great. Now, let me delete this again. Let's go create a new layer. If I check this, it will affect all layers
like let me show you. The results will be like we paint on our background layer. So you need to uncheck this because it's really
tricky to work with this. And I highly suggest to turn
off this option because it's really messy sometimes and you will make some moves
that you don't want. So uncheck this, and that's it. That's everything about
this tool for now. And see you in the next video.
41. Blur, Sharpen and Smudge Tool: Hi guys, welcome
to another video. And in this video, I will introduce you
with the new tools, blur, sharpen tool
and the smudge tool. Those are really
useful tools and, uh, let me explain. Let's go from up here first, I will go with my blur. Where the blur
tool, basically we blur some area with our brush. As you can see from up
here at the options bar, we got several options. This tool also have a brush and use brushes for his moves. From up here you can
choose size, hardness, or change your brush
and stuff like that. Mode, strength, sample all
layers, and that's it. So let me zoom in this area. As you can see. We can say this area
is really sharp. So let's go and make some marks. But before that, I will go
and duplicate this image by hitting Control J to show you
results before and after. And from up here,
at the strength, we choose how much our moves. It's gonna be hard. From up here as 100% is, our move is going to be really hard and it
will make good effect. Or from up here, it's really tiny effect. So let's go basically with default settings at 50 per cent. Let's go just paint over
those area a couple of times. And let me show you results
before and after in a second. This is where this effect
and this is without. As you can see, this
area is really blurry. Now, this is weird and
this is without this tool. Let's go with string at 100. That's similar. Just our moves gonna be harder and it's
going to be faster. So when you're sure
you don't need this, add 50 or 30 or ten per cent, Never mind, go with hundred
and it will go faster. So you see before and after this area is
really blurry now. And if I go from up
here, sample all layers. As you already know, it will affect all
layers that I got. Never mind if I got
51020 or 50 layers, it will affect them out. So I like to uncheck this
and I suggest you to, if you're not sure 100 per
cent, what you're doing. So that's it about
this blur tool. Now, let's go with the
sharpened thought. Let me just delete
this and again, create a new copy to show
you different results. And for this tool is important. When you want to get some
area, get more sharp. You need high-quality
images and that area cannot be really blurry and you cannot get that area really sharpens. So that's really
important to know. Basically, with our image, this area is really
sharp as I think. It's a little bit noisy, but never mind, we
can get our job done. And let's go try this effect
on USE what this tool does. I will show you results
before and after. This is with this tool. And this is without. As you can see, this area
is now really sharp. So that's about this tool. And as you already know,
sample all layers. It will affect everything. Like I mentioned in
previous thought. This is really important. Protect details, make sure this option is activated
when you are working. So let me show you. I will uncheck this and
put strength at 100. So when I make my
move from up here, we will get this. It's called pixelized,
and we don't need this. It's really, really
awful effect. So keep that in mind guys
and never work like that. Hit protect details
and that's it. Now, the last of those tools, I'm showing you just basic
things about those tools. We can work with those tools
with our practices later. Don't worry. Now
what's important is just to know which
tool can do what. Later in exercise, you will get your chance to work
with those stores. Now, I will get my brush smaller and Moves strength to
thoroughly just like that. And what's going
to happen when I move over, as you can see, when I click and drag, it will move those things
with those kinds of images. We don't need this stall, but with some portraits
and other stuff, we can use this tool and
it's really powerful, but for now, it works like that. Just to show you, as you can see from up here, I just moving those. It's like you've
got your work on a paper and you paint
with your colors and then go with a sponge or something like that and
just go over your work. And here we'll get
similar effect. So that's it. And if I go from up here and
check this finger painting, you will see what's
going to happen. As you can see it. We'll go with the same effect, but we will get our foreground
color effect that also, if I change this color, let's go with some
blue and hit Okay, and now make move. It will again bring that
color on our image. It just like you're
painting with your finger. It's just like it says,
painting with fingers. So keep that in mind guys. And the lighter, I
have some exercise for you to see how you are going
to deal with those stores. So I hope you all ready for it. It's really easy
and see, are there
42. Practice: Blur and Sharpen Tool: Hi guys. In this video, I got a little exercise for you. So it should be really easy. And as you already
can see from up here, I name those still
images, sharp blur. So what's my point here? At this image i1 from
you to use sharp, dull and on this image
I want from you to use blur tool and the
blur, this background. And from up here, I want to get this image
sharpest as you can. So let's start, pause this
video and do it by your own. And when you finish
with your own work, you can come back and continue with this video
or just watch it. It's up to you really. So first, I will go with this sharp and I will hit
this sharp tool. As you can see, my
brush is really large. I will get it smaller grade. Now from up here I
will go and duplicate this layer to show your
results before and after. Let's go get this mountain
a little bit more sharper. Just like that two
times over this area. And it should be good. I will get my brush smaller
and I will go over this area. First. Maybe this is too much. I will go and undo this. Great. Now let's go see results
before and after. Great. This is good. Now let's go and
continue over this area. Up here. I'm just holding my mouse button and going over that area. Simple as that. This is too much, I will undo this. Great just once over that area. Once up here. That's it. This so much. Great. And we can go over this. I think it's lady who knows. Just once or twice
should be fine. Now, over this hat, you see how those details
are coming out. Rate. Now, let's go just a
little bit over that sand. It's really nothing special. It's some basic stuff we
doing up here at this image. So that should be, now let's go see results. This is really,
really easy exercise. All you need to do is
just come up here because sharpening tool and go over areas you want
to get sharper. So let's see results. This is before and
this is after. So as you can see, those are pretty good details
and I think that's amazing. So that's it for this tool. Now, let's go with
our blur tool. And from up here we
can go with this. I can go and just
clicking up here and trying to make
this more blurry. But we will lose lots of times. So what should we do appear? So what, so what I'm
going to do up here, I will create
selection of this man, this young man, and then I
will inverse that selection. So my selection should
be this background. Then I will use my blur
tools and it should be easy. So let's go make a quick
selection of this man, I will zoom in. As you can see, I created
a new layer because I want to show you results
before and after. That's a rough selection. Now remind, I can go remove
that area from our image. Let's go zoom in. Maybe you didn't expect
this from me in this video, but I'm just showing you
how you can get it done. So that's it. I can go. And now remind, let just say we're satisfied
with our selection. Great. I will zoom out. Then. This is really
important to remember. This is the shortcut key for
inverse in your selection. Let me go with the screen by
hitting Control Shift and I. You can inverse selection. You will see in a second. And now Dairy this, we inverse our selection. So now all I do will affect only what's
inside my selection. So this man is no longer my selection here is
outside my selection. Let me show you. If you see if I'm painting, I cannot affect him because
he's outside my selections. So that's the whole point. I want to lose my time or your time by doing
this with lower till, we can get this done, but it will take lots of time. And we can go just from
up here at the filters. Them blur and hit Gaussian
Blur, just like that. And from up here, you can choose how much
your radius, one and B. As you can see, the more
pixels are in this radius, the blurrier image should be. Let just say we are satisfied
with this and just hit, Okay, Let's go Control
D to de-select it. And now let's go see
before and after. This is before, and this is after we apply this
effect on the image. So guys, that's it. If you have any questions, just ask and see you
in the next video.
43. Dodge, Blur and Sponge Tool: Hello and welcome.
In this lecture, we'll talk about Dodge Burn
and sponge tool in Photoshop. Those tools, I can say they are unnecessary for any amateur or professional photographer
that is looking to interchange specific
area of photography. What's important to remember, all the tools that
we are about to go over are meant for small fixes, not the whole image. But for now, what's
important for you is to understand how
these tools works. So first tool that we are
going to use is Dodge Tool. You can find that stool from the left menu and we can touch. Once you activated this tool, you will notice at the top of the window an option
bar will be displayed. As we talk about. This is standard for all
brushes in Photoshop. Second, we got range
range specifics, whatever the Dodge Tool
affects, shadows, mid-tones, or highlights in areas
over which your drug, e.g. make sure the range
is set to shadow, left-click, and
draw the exposure. It identifies how much of change the Dodge Tool
makes as you drag. Basically, you're
telling the Photoshop how strong you
wanted to lighten. This example, makes sure
it's at about 50 to 60%. Okay? Protect nodes,
tells Photoshop to minimize the clipping and makes sure the colors do not change. For this example, makes
sure this is checked. I will make a copy
of my picture. And now I will use Dodge Tool. As I move over to this area, it won't affect it
as you can see. But when I go to darker areas, you can see what's happening. If you don't see, I will show you the difference
in them second. Okay, I think this is fine. And as you can see, this is a much difference. This is width without. So what we learn from this, what Dodge tool do. The Dodge Tool tries to take darker areas and make
from them enlightened. As you can see. Basically, this is Dodge tool. And again, results before
and after, before and after. Okay, I hope all will
understand this. It's really easy. Now, I will delete this one. Now, let's go and
pick the burn tool. I will create a copy. If the Dodge tool lightens, then the burn tool must darken. Okay. Let's check it out. If I go over, as you can see, it will
try to make it darker. Absolutely the opposite
of the burn tool. When I go over the
sea, it will affected. I will show you results
before and after in a second. I will not affect
more of the image. Okay, I think this
is fine for you. This was before
and this was after after applying the burn tool. I hope you got this.
It's really easy. But again, this is only showing you the difference
between those tools. I will recommend you
never take a whole, never take a whole picture
to work like this. Those tools are for smaller
areas of a picture. The sponge tool allow you to D saturate or saturate the color. Before we proceed with, I will go on this
image to show you. I will take a quick
selection of this rows. Okay? I can remove this, and this is fine. Now I will inverse
this selection. Click Control Shift and I, or Command Shift and I
together to Inverse selection. Okay, we got, now
what will I do? I will take sponge tool and
I will go to D saturate. I will pick hardness
to 100 and go over. Just like this. This effect can be really helpful. Okay? As you can see, we got black and white
in just a minute. This defect can be
really helpful. Sometimes. I go Control
D to de-select. Now, if you wish, take a hardness to zero, then go over those
areas a little bit to make it more realistic. And now there we have it. It's really easy. And I hope you
understand this tool. I can go back to show you
what means to saturate. Okay. I will again
press Control, Shift, Enter to
reverse selection, then I'll click saturate. As I move over. It will bring more
color to our image. That's what Sponge Tool does. But this doesn't
look nice for me. Okay guys. This is all for me
in this lecture. I hope you understand
difference between Dodge Burn tool and the sponge to see you in
the next lesson, Bye.
44. Layer Styles or Blend Mode: Hi there and welcome. In this video, I will
introduce you with the blending options
in Photoshop. This is really
important to know. We will use this option in almost every thing
we do in Photoshop. So let me explain your
holiday stole work. Let's just say let's type
something like text. That's it. Great. I will just go and
place it up here to show you. You can get your
blending options. Just go right-click on your layer that you want
to apply some options, or just double-click up
here and you will see your blending options just
like that. From up here. As you can see, we
got really good. And as you can see guys, there is lots option, different options that you
can apply on some layer. So if I go and apply
each one of those, my text one go exactly
how I want it to be. And in much cases we don't want to apply
each one of those. So for now, let's go
and I will explain you. Each one of those one-by-one. Let's go first to
close those options. And as you can see, if I go and click up here at the styles, this is what you will see when you install your Photoshop. So as you can see, I can go and apply
some of those. And you will see some options
from up here will change. As you can see, it will show us which effect of those
are applied on our text. This is some preset that
you got with Photoshop. As you can see, you
can go and have a little preview of what
you are going to apply. And basically, we don't
want to work like this. I never use those options. There'll be honest with you, but maybe this is
good trick to know, to save some time. Maybe when you are in a hurry. As you can see, there is
lots of different options. And we can get those options
if we go by our own. And as you can see from up here, are options that are
applied on a current layer. So that's it. As you can see. Nothing special. Anyway, let's go with the default and let's
go with first option. And this is really
good one when you are working with text or create some buttons for
some web page or for some mobile app design
and stuff like that. Or I don't know, maybe with your icons and the other stuff similar to that. So as you can see, when I go and click
once up here, you see how my text
is. Little change. As you can see, this is applied. Let me go back again. Bring up that. When I go click once up
here, as you can see, we got from up here which
style we want to apply. And when I go and
click once up here, it will automatically
change my layer. So this is some of
the options you got. You can go and combine
those options. And when you combine those options and know
which option, what can do. That's good. Now let's go from up here. Technique is do
wish your edges go smooth like this or you
want some hard edges, as you can see from up here. And when I go and
increase my size, you will see what
I'm talking about. And this is even more depth. And you'll see what
effect we are getting. So you don't need to go too much crazy because if I go
up here at the maximum, you'll see this is nothing good. So don't go too much
crazy with those options. Now from up here we got size. We can go increase the size or decrease the size, that's it. And the soft and the we wish our edges there will
be dust like that. Even if he's up here hard, if I go and increase, this option, won't let
it to go too much. Hard on it. From up here we can go and see which we wish to
apply this effect. This is currently at 90 degrees. I can go just one click up here. You'll see how those options going to change dust like that. And from up here we got
some extra options. This is something
like how it will look like if this go
through some glass. E.g. if we've got some glass like this or
something like this, this effect we will get, this is basically
Photoshop telling us there is a sun and
there is a glass. So this is global light, this is something like sun. And from up here we choose this son to go through
those kind of glass. So if I go to
something like this, we will get this effect. If my son go through
the glass like this, we will get this effect. I hope you goddess, I'm trying to make
this simple for you. So I hope your government, and as you can see, this is some different
effects that we are going. So you need to go and experiment
with your own projects. May be you will need
some options like this. Sometimes maybe the other time you need some
different options and you don't need
to go and practice by your own widows options. From up here we can add some texture and thus
stuff like that. Basically, you'll see when I go scale it or reduce
the size of it. This is the, and that's it. Let's go. Next option
will be stroke. And we don't see anything change because our color is black and this is currently my text is black and we cannot
see any difference. Let's go make our stroke red. And now as you can see, this is a red line. If I go, this is
size of our stroke. I can go just type up
here which size I need. Or I can go up here at this
slider and get this effect. And from up here we
can go choose inside, outside, or from the center. So let's go outside. And as you can see, we get this effect. If I go inside, we get this effect inside. Basically Photoshop, we'll go 15 pixels or ten pixels
because there is ten pixels. It will go from this
edge, from this search, it will go ten pixels inside
and apply this effect. If I go outside, it will go from this
part, ten pixels outside. And if I go from center, it will go five pixels inside
and five pixels outside. So that's something
you need to know rate. And this is inner
shadow we cannot see because this text
is currently black. Let's go make this color to
red and try to see something. And if I go up here
at the normal, It really depends which
blend mode you use. Maybe sometimes with,
as you can see, if I go with multiply, we don't see anything because this black
color is dominant. And I, and when I go with my blend mode set
at the multiply, we don't see anything. So if I press up
here at the normal, I can go and see my color. This is opacity. I can increase the
opacity distance, as you can see from up here. Choke and the size
just like that. So don't go too much
crazy with those options. Great. That's it. Inner Glow. And as you can see, we can add inner glow to
our edges of our text. Let's go. As you can see from up
here is blend mode, set up the screen. Those are some
default settings that you are going to get
with your Photoshop. So from up here,
There's opacity. It's really similar and I won't bother you too
much with those options. You need to practice by
your own width Photoshop. My job is here to show
you which tool can do what and to show
you how to work, to get you through
some basics, things, and trust me, you need
to practice by your own. I won't call it the wastes sometimes working
in Photoshop now, you want waste anytime. Practice is really
important in Photoshop. If you don't know what
you are going to do, just please ask me
in section Q&A, anything you need to
know about your project. I'm here to help you even
with your own projects, because I'm here to help. I really like to
help other people. Let's see, Let's continue. Okay, and from up here
we got color overlay. This is something basically, this is my text. And if I go change
color up here, it will apply on a whole layer. That's it. We can change the
Blend Mode opacity, and that's it. Gradient Overlay. Let just say we can go and apply some gradient up here
at the our text. Just like that, we don't need to waste our time
selecting this tax or convert this text and then selected then applied
this gradient. Just right-click up here, go to gradient overlay, apply gradient you wish. And that's it. It's really simple as that. And this is Pattern Overlay from up here you can
choose your own pattern, or this is some of the fault
that Photoshop offers. That's nothing special about it. From up here, you can
reduce the opacity on it or increase it blend
mode. And that's it. Our glow. From up here we can go and
change up here, our color. Let's go with normal. And as you can see
from those sedges, we got something like our glow. And we can go and increase the size to show you the effect that we are going to get if we apply something like
this. And that's it. I can go from up here, increase the opacity to
show you which results we are going to get if
I go and apply this. Great. And the last one is drop
shadow. From up here. We can go increase, multiply and we can go and
add some shadow to our text. As you can see, you can increase distance or an
angle to show you. It's really up to you which
one of those u1 to apply. And this is do want to
spread them the size of it. And that's basic thing about blending options or Layer
Style in Photoshop. If you have any questions, like always sign
here and see you guys in some of the next videos.
45. RGB and CMYK Color Models: In this video, I want to show
you the difference between RGB color mode or CMYK mode. So what's the difference? What's the big deal in
those two color modes? So as you can see, RGB color mode is red, green, and blue, and it's
an additive color model. What this means is
that this color model, based on adding
and mixing light. When you add red, green, and blue light together, you create a pure white. You can see how adding
pigments in RGB color model affect the ultimate color
results as red, green, and blue all come to why it
is understood that white is truly the combination of all colors and black
is absence of color. Lgbt is permanently using for designing elements that can be displayed on television set, computer monitor,
or a mobile phone, or any other kind
of light source. Obviously, it's a device
dependent color mode. What about CMYK? Color mode is opposite thing. So as you can see, cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. So those are four
colors for this model, and it's a subtractive
color model. A subtractive color
model works exactly opposite from an additive
color model or RGB. It works up partially or entirely masking certain
colors from white. So instead of adding
light to achieve color, this color model is using ink to subtract
brightness from y, therefore, cyan, magenta, yellow and combination is black, the absence of brightness. Where does the key or black comes in through
additional printing, cyan, magenta and yellow inks were layered
to create images. Eventually, key or
black began being used to additionally
subtract brightness, imprinting and heavily reduced Inc.'s usage of
their other tones. Cm. Why K is also a device
dependent color model, but it is most frequently used this day as a main color
mode used in printing, whatever It's
posters, brochures, business card,
books, or magazines. So now let me explain you
when we create our document, which color model we
are going to use. So let's go create a new file. As you can see from up here, we can create a new file. And when we designed some
button that we are going to use for our webpage or
our mobile device. We will use this
color mode, RGB. As you can see, we can from
up here change eight bits, 16 or 32 bits. This is the default
settings in Photoshop, and usually we will use
resolution of 72 pixels per inch. What's going to
happen when we design our business card or our posters or
something similar, e.g. book covers and stuff
like that from up here we will usually going
to work with hundred and 50, but the standard is
300 pixels per inch. There is more pixels and this
file is going to be larger. And from up here, we will change this mode from RGB color mode to
CMYK, as you can see. And there we have it. And one more thing.
What's the difference? 72-300 pixels per inch. When we create something
for Web Legacy, recreate some web page, we need our webpage
to load fast. We cannot achieve that if
our files are really large, so we need really good
Internet connection to load that site, right? So if I go with 300
pixels per inch, that's not good deal. We will use 72 pixels per
inch and RGB color mode if we using our work for web or mobile devices or
something similar. But when we wish to
print something, e.g. some T-Shirt and
stuff like that. We can use this CMYK color mode. So I hope you got this right. And it's really simple as that. When we wish to work for web, we will use RGB color. And when we wish to
print something, we are going to use this
color mode, 72, 300. It's really simple as that, and that's it, guys. I hope I make it really simple. And if you have any
questions about this, please feel free to ask
and I will be here, gladly transfer in
each question you ask. So see you in the
next week. Bye.
46. Type Tool: Once again, hi and welcome. So in this video, I will introduce you
with the type tool. As you probably know, you can find your tool from
up here at the tool panel or just press shortcut
D and you will bring up this
horizontal type tool. Because we will work with
this stole almost every time. 99%. Maybe we will use
this tool sometimes, but horizontal is our main
tool for text in Photoshop. So let's get started. Just click once, and
from that point, you can type your text. Let me just type something. Great. As you can see, this is currently
are taxed and SEO already maybe noticed
it is on a new layer. So it says layer one. But when I press on this icon, it will automatically
change the name of my text. So let's go try it
on just like that n. Now as you see practice
for students from up here, you see name of your layer. We can also change
the name of that, but we don't bother with
that in this video. Now, if you want to add
something more in your text, you can go ahead and just click somewhere in your text and just go continue with your work and type
whatever you want. So when we type outside
our canvas area, Photoshop will still
continue to draw in this. Photoshop will still
continue to write up here, and we can not see that. So we don't need work like that. Let me just go type
something like this. So when I press enter, it will go below. Once again, if I press enter, it will go rob below. So that's the deal with this. And if you wish to delete
some of those words, just go hover with the mouse. And when you get
something like this, and just go backspace
and it will automatically delete
those for us. Now, we can go and
limit our program, and I will go and drag
something like this. And now whatever I type
will go inside of this leg. Just say let me just
type something fast. As you can see, we cannot go with the whole
sentence from up here. It will go below. But if I move up here, you will see it will go
up here in the first row. So keep that in mind. If you go like this, it will go and try to keep
up with our settings. So that's one thing to know. Great. Now, if I pick my, my move tool, I can go and move this tax whenever I like just like that. And I still when I press T, I can go come up here and edit
this text just like that. So from up here are our fonts. As you can see, there
is lots of fonts. And let me just show
you one quick thing. When you select your
work, your text. And you'll come up here
just like that angle over some font and you will see
how our texts changing. And this is just
preview of how it will look like if I go and
apply some of those fonts, just like that, Let's
go try with a song. And Okay, now this is our font. Great. Now let's go select the whole text from up
here with some fonts, you just get regular. But with a font like this, you can go and see, as you can see from up here, you can go narrow or
we can go narrow. Italicize, bold,
italic, bold red color, and stuff like that. From up here we change
the size of our text. And this is about
something anti aliasing. As you can see, this
is really sharp. It's about those edges
when I press none here, see how those edges
are really noticeable. When I go and hit Sharp, you will see how
they get smarter. So that's it. From up here is aligned text. As you can see, this
is left aligned text, this is center aligned text, and this is right align text. So now when is my text selected? I can come up here and change the color of it in a second. I can pick any color I want. And just like that Bittker
color and hit Okay, and now that's my
color of the text. Now let's go try this option on. As you can see, our
style is currently none. And this is just
a little preview. When I click up here, you see how our text changed. And we can go and
reduce the size of it, move it from one side to
another and stuff like that. You will maybe use this
sometimes I use it. As you can see from up
here, you got really, really good previous and you can go and try
them on later. I want apply that
because I don't need it. Now, if you got
workspace like I do, you see those character tap from up here we
see also which font is currently
activated with which settings and stuff like that. So if you don't see
this character, you can go just from up here, click once, and you
will see those options. So let me explain you
something about this. As you can see, when I
press up here at the outer, you will see when I
reduce the size here, see how those go close to one. Now, I can also go with this. This is spacing
between our letters. So let's go with five. Let's go maybe with 25. You see what I'm doing? Let's go with 75. You see it move distance
between each letter. From up here. We can also change
the size of our text and this is how
much of it I wish. Let's go with 200. You see what's going to happen. We scaled our tax worked equally and this is
also horizontally. I can move this slider. Great. I think you all follow me. I will undo those things. I will go with 100 up here. And also from up here I will
type 100 and that's it. So one more thing
that is good to know. I don't like to work like this. Let me just select this text
to show you what I meant when I wish the change
spacing between my letters. I want go from up here and choose what the
Photoshop offer me. I will go up here at this icon. You'll see what's
going to happen if I move my mouse cursor
from the left. And now what's going to happen
if I move it to the right? So this is like Slider. And with the preview, that's what I like with this. I can see instantly
what I'm doing. So that's good for me. Maybe you don't like it, but I'm just showing
you how you can work. And the same thing with
all of those options. As you can see. What's good. You can see the
preview and it will automatically apply that change when you release your mouse. And also from up here we
can change a color of it. That's it. And also, you can go from up here, make your font bold or
italic and stuff like that. So go practice by your
own with this tool, it's really fun and
should be really easy. As I already mentioned, when we pick our move tool, we can go select this and
move it when our will. So one more thing, and when I press Control T, I will get Free Transform. Now, I can reduce the size
of my text and that's it. I can apply that
and still move it. But when I press T, I can go again and
edit this tax. So that's good to know. And if I go right up here, right-click on it and
hit rasterize type. Now, we got this like an image. We cannot go. If I go again, as you can see at the my type tool
and try to add it, I cannot because
this is currently saved as an image and we
cannot go back on lease. I undo those steps, there is no way to go back. So this is now treated
like an image. We can go and delete those
pixels just like that. And there is not taxed. So keep that in mind when
you're working with this tool. One thing that I
want to show you, it will be really quickly. I promise I will go because
we import this image up here. And let me just center
it right there. Great. Now let's go pick our
type tool and type something like summer rate. I will select this. I will choose some other font. Let's see the preview of it. Let just say I'm
satisfied with this font. I will get my font
larger. Great. We resize it. And now I will move this layer one at the top of my layers. Now I will hold my
Alt key or Option key if you're using Mac
until you see this icon, go up here at the layers. And you will see what
I'm talking about. When I see something like this, I will just click once. And now we created this
effect in a second. And one more thing that
is good with this. I can pick my move tool and move those pixels and try to
place them where I liked. So that's good trick to know. Maybe I can get this larger
to get this cool effect. As you can see in a second, we created some cool effect. That's it. Maybe we can add a little bit something
like drop shadow. Move the distance,
spread and size. And you know what
I'm talking about? In a second, we can
get a cool effect in Photoshop and we can also
change our background. But any background
color you like, Let's go to yellow,
something like this. Because g, because g for our Paint Bucket Tool click
once and there we have it. We've got this cool
effect in a second. So that's everything
for me in this video. I hope you like it.
47. Text Effect: Golden Text: Hi guys and welcome. In this video we will create gold packs the
fact in Photoshop, and this should be
really fast and easy. So let's start just go
create a new document. I will go with this
resolution and I will fill my background with white because you will
see in a second. And from up here, we need some gradient
effect for our backgrounds. So we can go create a new layer, big our gradient tool, or we can go from up here at your adjustments and hit
gradient just like that. And this is transparent. I will go with this
one and go now click up here and let's
try to change this color. We need something
like they will go with brown color k and from
up here, something similar. That's okay. I think
this should be fine. And the last thing
I will change from linear to radial, That's it. Maybe I will go just a little bit
more brighter color to get more contrast up here. Okay, and I think I'm
satisfied with this one. So let's continue. Now. I will go hit my type tool
and bring up I will type gold because we will go and
try to make some gold effect. And great. And I will go select this use, I will use this font and
I will make it bolt. So it okay. They will center it to the
middle. And that's it. Now we can go up here to blending options,
right-click on it. And I will go with this one. And also I will
need some gradient. So I got name of my colors
so we don't lose our time. I will just type it up here. It's a to B, 7c3b. That's the color we need. Okay, from up here and up here we will use
some different color. 908e0 is zero, and that's the color we need for our golden tax, the fact. And now I will go
from up here at the Bevel and Emboss
and technique. I will choose from
smooth, just little hard, and I will increase the
size to around 35 or 40. Let's go with 40, and that's it. I'm satisfied with this one. I will go opacity around 75%. And also from up here, 75%. Great hit. Okay, and that's it. Now, let's go
create a new layer. But before that, let's
go back to our layer. That is text up here. Just hit Control or
Command and click once and you will get
selection of your text. Now go back to our
new layer, layer one, and now just go fill this one with black color,
just like this. And now I will go
more, this one below. And I will hit Control D to de-select and pick my move tool. And I will go and make it something like this
to get this effect. Great. One thing that I forgot to
show you is from up here at the blending options
with your gradient overlay, you can go and try some other
thing that Photoshop offer. So try it by your own. I'm satisfied with my normal. I think at the end I will change a background color for a
little bit, and that's it. So just to show you that, now Let's go when we are
selected our layer one, Let's go to filter blur
and hit Motion Blur, and you will get
something like this. I will go with dangle around. I will go with distance around
80 or a little bit less. From up here angle I will go
with -60 to get this effect. And that's it. That's our golden tax, the fact. And I can go from up here, change my gradient tool
around something similar. We can go and get this effect. Get it more interesting. It okay, and that's it, how we can get golden
effect text in Photoshop. So we can use, as you saw in a previous video, we can use some background
or some fancy stuff, but they won't bother
you with that for now. So thank you for watching and
see you in the next video. Bye.
48. Text Efect: Burst: Hi guys, Welcome. In this video we will have
a little fun and let's go create some cool effect
with text in Photoshop. As you can see from up here, we got new documents,
1920 by 1080. From up here, you can choose any color for your background. Let's go bake a
black color because we need black color
for our document. And when you are done, you will get
something like this. If your background
is still white, just go pick up paint bucket tool to fill
it with black color. And that's it. For this tutorial, I
will use this font. So make sure that check it out. Let just say I will type
up here burst because this effect is called light
burst effect in Photoshop. So let's try it on. This is my font that I'm going
to use in this tutorial. Okay, now I can pick my move
tool and as you can see, smart guys will lead me. They will place this on
the center just like that. And now when I'm sure that my
document is on the center, they can go from up here and add some blending options on it. So my first will be up here
at this gradient overlay. Let's go try some colors. Let's go with the
different color with some color like this. Okay? And when we are satisfied with
our gradient, just go hit. Okay, and now this should be
our gradient for this one. From up here, as you can see, Bevel and Emboss, I will go
with style, inner Bevel, Techniques, mood with the 500%
or even a little bit more. It doesn't matter. It's, Let's go with
100 size ten pixels. You can go maybe even larger. We can go like 13 or it's
okay to stay with them. I'm satisfied with effect. We are going to get with them. From up here. I choose Opacity for my highlight mode is set on the screen opacity
to around 70%, shadow mode to multiply. And let's go bring this around. 70%. Great, That's
everything for now. Just go hit, Okay,
and that's it. My next move will
be able to go and duplicate this
layer three times. You will see later why we
can go duplicate layers. If I right-click on
it duplicate layer, or I can simply go hit Command J and it will duplicate
my layers in a second. Just like that. Now when we have our copies, I can go with my shift and
select those three copies. That's it. And I will change blend mode
from normal to this one. The second one, really
easily, just like that. Now, when are those
three are selected? I will go right-click on it. It will hit rasterize type. And once more the right-click
on it and hit Merge Layers. That's it. Now we got our copies
in a one layer. So that's something we need. And now I will go when
this layer is selected, I will go to Filter, and then I will go to
Blur and big radial blur. So with the fault here, we'll get something like this. It should be around ten and
it will be Zoom or spin. It doesn't matter. Go to zoom and amount 100. Hit, Okay? And that's
it. That's a fact. We want it, but I'm
not yet done with it. Now let's go from up here at
the blend mode from normal, Let's change to
our Linear Dodge. That's it. That's a fact we
need n once more. I will go up here
at the filters. Blur, choose the same
one, radial blur, again, 100 hit, Okay, and it will
spread this even more. Now, the last step will be, I will add these stars
on our background. So let's go bring up
with our move tool. Just like that, drag and drop. I will place this one, move it below, and that's it. I will reduce the
opacity to around 10%. Okay? And the last thing will be, I will go with my adjustment layer and
I will choose levels. And from up here, I will create a clipping mask. It will affect this one. And I will move my
shadows up here. It's really up to you how you
wish for your background. And that's it. That's a fact we want it. So see results. This is too much. We reduce the shadows from. We're reduce the shadows. As you can see,
this is without and this is where it's
really cool effect. And that's it. Thank you guys for watching. I hope you liked this video. It should be really
easy and fun. And it's not too
much complicated. And if you have any
questions about it, feel free to ask me and
see you in the next one. Bye.
49. Text Effect: Neon Effect: Hi guys and welcome. In this video, we will
have a little fun with those tricks in Photoshop. We will create some neon
light effect in Photoshop. So let's get started. As you can see, I got
my document prepared is 1920 by 1080. It's full HD resolution. So as you can see from up here, I will go and
create a new layer. Great, now I will fill that
layer with some gradient. And as you can see from up here, I got some gradient that
I choose to go with. Let's go see which
color is that. As you can see, this is the
color that I'm going to use. And this color is almost black, is really some purple color, but it's almost black. As you can see. I will go a little harder
with this color grade. And also with this. As you can see, this
is our current color. You can go buy your own color. It's really up to you. How do you wish your
background is gonna look like? And I will hit okay, when I'm satisfied
with my gradient. And from up here you see we will go to create some circle effect, radial gradient
and blend mode to Normal opacity hundred
and I hit reverse. So when I go up here, I will go to something like that and we will
get this effect. This is something
that I want it. So make sure you're
create a new layer, then fill that layer
with your gradient, or you can choose some
background that you wish. Never mind. Let's go continue. Now. Let's go type some text. I will go and type Neon. Okay, I will hit my move tool. We shortcut way plays
this and let's go. Now, right-click on it. This is really important. Now, let's go to
Blending Options. And from up here we
will create our effect. So make sure to
check this stroke. Choose the size to get
something like this. I can go maybe even with four or let us say five. This is nice. And from up here, choose this option are low. But as you can see
from a stroke, choose your color to be white. Position inside blend mode
is normal opacity to 100. Now let's go up here
at the outer glow. From up here, we can change
the color of our gradient. But I want go with that because let's just say I'm
satisfied with my color. But anyway, let's go
change it a little bit. Here. See how color change. Great. Let's say we are satisfied
with this color hit, Okay. And as you can see from up here, at the outer glow is blend
mode Normal opacity to 63%. I think default will be
something around 50 per cent. I hit noise to zero because
when I hit, as you can see, when I increase my nose, you see Which effect
we are getting, but we don't need that. So we need Neon effect.
Just like that. I will go spread around 11%. Let's go make it
maybe even a larger. Let's go with 11 to 15%. And from up here we
can choose a size I want go too much
crazy width size. Let just say I'm
satisfied with 50 pixels. Great. That's the effect. We want it and just hit, Okay? And one more thing from up here, we need to remove
this black color. So just go up here. Where is your text? And on that layer, go on that layer. And from up here
you see this fill. Let's go just go fill to zero. And now we got this cool effect of our
button just like that. And now let's go below. Type something more.
Let's go again. I will type something
like light. Great. I can select this and maybe choose some different
font for it. Just like that. Okay, Let's see how this font is going to
look like. Up here. I will select those to make them on a middle,
just like that. Now, let's go focus
on our light font. Now let's go and focus
on our light layer. Again, go to Blending Options
and do the similar thing. As you can see, stroke. The five pixels best at 100
m from up here, our glow. Let's go and change that
color to something like this. Let just say, how is
it going to look like when I go color? Great. Let's just say I'm satisfied. This is too much spread and I will reduce the size
just a little bit. Okay, Let's see how this
is going to look like. Now, again, reduce fill. And that's it. This is the cool effect. We want it. Great. Now let's go one more thing before we
get finished with this. Select those two layers and make a copy of those duplicate layer. Never mind how they
are going to call. And now, as you can see, our copies are selected. Right-click on them and just
go rasterize layer style. Then again, as you can see, let's go once again,
merge those layers. And now we got
this on one layer. I will go up here at the filter. Then let's go to Blur and hit this Gaussian Blur
and get something around eight pixels or even ten pixels if you're using the same
resolution as I do, hit Okay, and move this
layer below our taxed. And you will see before and after we can go and reduce
the opacity of that. Forget something like this. So I think this is cool. So as you can see, we get this cool
effect in a second. You can choose different
options for those. Maybe reduce the light of
it or even increase it. It's really up to you. But anyway, this is how you can create neon light
effect in Photoshop. Thank you for watching and
see you in next video. Bye.
50. Shape Tool: Rectangle Tool: In this video, I
will introduce him away the shape
tools in Photoshop. So those tools are
really powerful and we can get lots of job
done with those stalls. So let's get started. As you can see with all tools, we can find our
tools from up here. First we will deal with
rectangular tools. Those are all shaped holes. So let's go and pick
a rectangular tool, or the shortcut is u. So this is default
rectangular tool. And from up here
at the option bar, we got some options. First, this shape, bad
and pixels with default, you will got shape. So let's see what
this shape can do. When I go and drag
something like this. It will bring up that object
in a new layer and it will name it rectangular one because this is our
rectangular tool, FIP ellipse tool and create a new layer and
create some object. It will bring up this and it will says from up
here, ellipse one. So keep that in mind. Now, next thing is filled. We can fill this with
any color of this, just like that by pressing ones. Or we can go up here and
pick the color we need. It's similar from up here, can change to a gradient. Now, our shape is a gradient. We can change a color, as you already know
that, just like that. And that's it. From up here, we can
change to a pattern. Just like that. You see those are presets
that we got with Photoshop. If you have your own pattern
that you want to use, just go from up here
and go load patterns, then just import that parent and you will see them up here. Great. Now, let's go up here
and move it to us. Some color like this. Now, let's go to Stroke. And from up here, Let's
choose color for our stroke. Let's just say we want our
stroke to be this black color. And now let's change the radius. Let's type something like 15. And as you can see from up here, we will bring up 15 pixels inside of our shape
to be black color. Great. We can also get it to a
gradient, our stroke, and choose any
color that we want, or even some pattern. It's the same thing. And now from up here, we've got our stroke options. As you can see, we can go
with this straight line, something like this, or dots. And now we got up here. More options, just
click once and you will see there is a pretty
set costume and align. We can go inside the center. And as you can see now, the half of those big
cells will be outside our shape and the half
will be inside our shape. Or we can go and big outside. Now this is our shape and our stroke will be
outside our shape. So those are good
things to know. But anyway, ledgers hit
Okay, and continue. From up here, we can change
a size of our object. Let just say I will
type 800 by 400. Great. Now this chain, what these mean. And if I press up here, and now let's go try it out. If I go from up here, 1,000 up here should be 500. As you can see, it will
automatically proportionally reduce or get enlarge our
shape just like that. So if I type up here, whiny hundred, this
should be 600. And as you can see, I think you all follow me. Now, if you want
this to uncheck, just click once, and from
up here we can go now, just hit 1,000 and our red
1,000 an hour will be 600. That's it. From up here we got the slider like we learned in
a previous lessons. So when I click and drag from
the left or to the right, you will see our shape will
get larger, just like that. Upon release, we
will see results. And that's it. Now, each time I go with my rectangular tool and
go create something, it will bring up, up here at the new layer. And if I want to
combine those shapes, I will go and check this
option combined shapes. Now those shapes will
be in a one layer. But what's good with shapes? Later, we can edit
them just like this. And as you can see, this will combine those
shapes in a one layer. And this is subtract
front shape. Let me go to show you something. As you can see,
the last shape we used will go away
just like that. Let me show you in a new layer. This is our shape. Let me close this one too. And if I go up here, it will, this area will disappear
as you can see, but those shapes all still here. Great. And the next will be
Intersect Shape areas. Now, whenever my shapes are
intersecting that area, we can see only as you can see. That's it. I hope
you all got this. It's really easy. And this is something different. This is the opposite thing. Exclude overlapping shapes. And the now how we can
move those shapes, they are all in the same layer. Just go from up here at the
our path selection tool. And as you can see, those are in one layer. And now I can go just like
this and move it here. See why is good working
with shapes just like that. Move it just like this, and move it wherever we want. And one thing that's
good for shapes, you got this direct selection
tool just like this. And as you can see when I
press on some of our shapes, we will see as many
corners there it is. You will get
something like this. You see this little area. And when I go and move, as you can see when
I go over that, it will become blue when
I go click once and I can move this shape and create
something what I want. And now upon release, Photoshop will ask me, their operation will turn live
shape into a regular path. Do I wish to continue? You can choose yes or no. I will decline this because
I don't want that for now. And let's go continue. From up here we can go
and align those shapes. I cannot go because they
are not selected currently. But if I hold my shift and I can just go
like that and select, as you can see from
up here we got, we can go and align
them to a left edges. Or we can go horizontal, right edges, top badges. And you know what I'm doing? So this is aligned to selection, or I can go align to Canvas. Let me just zoom
out to show you. Now when I press left edges, it should be come up here. Let's go try it on as you can. Now, my selection
is more up here, our shapes, excuse me. So those are some basics
about this shape tool. I can go and delete those
shapes, those layers. And now let me go again,
our rectangular tool. And let's go create some path. And just when I go and create something like
this n upon release, we got several
options from here. As you can see,
this is our path. And Photoshop offers options. Do we wish to make selection of our path to wish to
create a new vector mask, or do we wish to a
new shape layer? And if I click once up here, it will create selection. When I click, I will get
something like this and just, I will hit okay, and now, as you can see, it creates election of my bad. I will hit Control
D to de-select. Let's go once more
and create the mask. And as you can see, this is creating a mask up here. Great. I will undo that. And the last thing is
it will create shape, regular shape like we create
with our shape from up here. And the last thing
I want to show you in this video is up here, this option, this big cells. Now I can create
something like this. And upon release it will
create something like this. And upon release we got this, and this is just regular pixels
with the color we choose. Now what's tricky
about this option, we cannot go back
and undo those steps because we created that on a background or
even on some layer. If I created a layer before, that should be on a new layer. But if I go once again and let's go with some blend
mode to multiply. And you'll see what I'm getting. And it will affect
our background. From up here we can
choose a pass at the anti-aliasing
and stuff like that. But it's tricky because
we cannot edit this more. So that's it for
me in this video. In the next videos, we will go over those option. And when we finish with that, you will see we will
got cool project. And I think you
will all like it. And it will bring up your
skills to the next level. And it should be
really fun projects. So see you there.
51. Shape Tool: Rounded Rectangle Tool: In this video, I will introduce our next tool, rounded,
rectangular tool. Basically, it's the same
tool with the same options. I won't go over all
of those options because I don't want
to lose your time. And let's go to try it on. It's the same thing, really. Just one thing that's
different is those edges. So let's start. And when I go and move
my mouse cursor over, upon release, we will
get the shape up here. And this is just a preview. How should it look like? And when I release, you see what we get. And that's because up
here, this option, this radius, if I put my radius, Let's go for ten. And let me go close this option. Now you see how our edges
are almost at 90 degrees. Let me just show you
it's really tiny. As larger radius I
put up here that just would be smoother
as you can see. So let's go try with 100. Just like that. I
will close this, zoom out a little bit
and now let's try it on. Just like that. Upon release, we get
this option. Now. You see we got six
dots from up here. And we can go again
from up here, choose Direct Selection tool
and just move this up here. And if I if I'm sure I can go and hit yes or I can
decline and hit no. And with the path, just like that, we
can move it around. And one thing also, if I press Control
T or Command T, I can go make my shape larger
or smaller, dust like that. And as you can see, when I go and make
my shape larger, you see those edges Want go
like we created this width, like we created it with
Elliptical Marquee Tool and it will go stay
with this width 100. The last thing that
we put up here. So as you can see, when I get it smaller, those areas are coming up here. And now when they
overlapping those two dots, they coming up to one. And now we can edit
that just like that. So I hope you all got this. There is really
nothing special about this stole that's
different than a preview. It's the same tool
with the same options. The only difference
is about those edges. Up here. As you can see from up here, we can change the
color that we wish to fill this shape and also put some gradient or some pattern and even a
stroke just like that. And it's really 100%
the same options like the previous told. So that's it for me.
52. Shape Tool: Elliptical Shape Tool: Let's go now and pick
our ellipse tool. It's really similar like
our rectangular tool. As you can see from up here, we got same options. So as I mentioned, I want lose your time
with those options to go over again and again
because you know that fill, stroke lines, stroke options. And from up here we
can choose new layer combined shapes and
stuff like that. From up here, we can align them. And from up here we can go and let me show you
what this mean. Let's go just create new shape. As you can see when I
move my mouse cursor, I can create some random shape, but if I press Shift, I can create only a circle. So upon release we
got our shape with a, we were my move tool. I can move this again, press U, and we are
back to our shape. Now, let's go hit
Combine shapes. As you already know, this is on a new layer. Now when I create a new layer, or one more, or even to a couple of more,
it doesn't matter. So when I go up here and hit bad selection tool and
I select my first one. This shape is the last. It's in the bottom of
all of those shapes. And we dose options. And from up here we got
four different options. Bring shape to the front, bring shape forward, Sanjay, backward, same shape, the back. So if I press this, it will bring up my
last shape up here, and it should be first one. So if I go and hit
from our peers, subtract, and let's
go send it back. Send shape the back. As you can see, we've got
some different options. So that's good thing to know. While you're working
in Photoshop. That's some basic things you need to know about those shapes. And what's important
to remember. They don't work
like other stuff. And if I go from up here with the Elliptical
Marquee Tool, I can create
something like this. It's really similar,
like our shapes. But let me go show you just one thing before
I finish with this. As you can see from up here, Let's go create a new layer. I will create some small circle, and I will fill it
with the black color. That's it. I will deselect. And as you can see,
this is circle. Now I will create same
size circle up here. Maybe not 100% same size, but it should be it. As you can see, this is shaped and this is
ordinary layer. I will show you the
difference in a second. I will move up here, this. And let's go move this up here. Great. Now, when I go and re-size this, you will see results. As you can see,
those edges here. See this is based on pixels. And when I go with
my shape tool, let me get it larger. You'll see those edges. So when I resize my
pixels, my image, That's why it's important
when you're working with image to have
large file images. Because if you go and
stretch out your image, you will get results like
this, but which shapes? It's really different story. So that's the difference
between those two. So that's good thing to know when you're working
in Photoshop. So that's everything
for me in this video. See you in the next one.
53. Shape Tool: Polygon and Line Shape Tool: And now we've got
our polygon thought. So what's different with this
tool is this option here, is how much size we
wish to have our shape. So for now it's up to six. It's something like this. If I go and create with five, you will see the difference. As you can see, this is five. Let's go with, for, this is with four. Just like that. With three, we can create
some triangle, and that's it. So when we need some
shape like this, we can come up here
and hit polygon tool and get some cool
effects and results. So let's go with you. And options are really same
like with all shaped volts. We can fill stroke line. We can change the
size from up here, as you already know this. And this option here
is how much we wish our blue line is to be thick. Let me show you what I meant. My peer, we got 0.5 pixels, 0.70, 512 or three. When I press three, you will see how this line, this preview line is now larger. As you can see,
this is with three, and now I can move it to a one pixel and you'll
see how thicker it is. So I like to work
with one pixel size. But if you want, you can work with
three pixel size. It's really up to you. Now, let me go and
delete this layer. I will also delete
this triangle. Let's go with some of those. When I select it with
my move tool and I can go hit Control T for transform. As I mentioned, we can re-size, re-scale, and stuff like that. We can also go and
rotate this object. And from up here, as you see, we can go and type 90
degrees if we wish to, or some other dimension,
hundred and 20, It's really up to you what
you need for your purpose. So when I hit up
here, we will get it. And what's important to know, this is a shape. We can go get it
larger or smaller. We won't lose any detail as I show you in a previous
video, as you can see. So let me go back a step and
let me show you one thing. When I go from up here, right-click and hit
rasterize layer. Now, this layer is
no longer shape. It's ordinary layer. And now when I go and
try to get it larger, we will lose details. So keep that in mind when you're working with those
kind of things. And let me show you
one more thing. I can go from up here, hit direct selection tool
because this is our shape. And now I can go and
select those two dots. As you can see,
there is four dots because we got four
ankles up here. Now when I press and hold Shift and my arrow
key move to the left, you see what's going to happen. I will re-size this
shape just like that. Or FI wish I can
come up here again. And I wish just this spot, I can move it around and create some random shape that I need. So that's cool. Trick. Know. From up here, we got our line tool. As you can see,
options are the same. And just from up here, I will choose the
size of my line. Let's go with ten pixels. Now when I go and create, we will get a line like that. And that's our line tool. And when I hold my shift, I can move it up here
at a 45 degrees, 90 degrees, as you can see, hundred and 35 degrees
or 180 degrees. So when I holding my mouse, it won't let me go any
further than this. As you can see, I can
move it wherever I like. And just release. If I release with my free form, with my mouse, if I
don't hold Shift, I can move and place this
lines wherever I like. So that's it. When I hold my Shift, photoshop won't
let me go and make some 33 degrees steps move. And if I release, I can go and try that on. As you can see, we got a
little preview from up here. You see now it's 31.9 degrees. That's it. And we can go and hit 90 degrees by holding
Shift 45 degrees, zero or 180 degrees. That's how line tool work. We can also from our peer
changes size of our line. Also from up here we
can change a color of lines and that's how
line tool work up here. So in this video, I show you how to work
with polygon tool, M line tool, which are up
here at the shapes tool. So in the next video, I will show you something
about custom shape tool. And after that, we will
create some button games. So I think that
should be really fun. And see, are there
54. Shape Tool: Costume Shape Tool: And the last thing, our nose shape tools
are custom shape tool. You can find it right at
the bottom of those group. From up here in the Options
bar are really similar, like with all tools. And I won't bother you
too much with this. So basically what's good
with this tool is up here. We got some cool things
to use from up here. So with the default
setting in Photoshop, you will see
something like this. Only a couple of those, but if I go up here at this, we'll then go hit all. Then it okay. Or a band, Let's go up band. And now let me go show you how much of those
now we got to use. Good thing is, because
they're based on a vector so we can
go and re-size, re-scale, and we won't
lose any quality of those. As you can see, the quality is amazing and we can use
them for our work. We can go rescale,
resize, rotate, flip, whatever we need, and still we will get the
effect that we want. So that's good with this tool. And from up here, I can go by holding Shift. I can go and re-scale
it properly. Or with my free form, I can go and try it on some cool effects by my
own, just like that. And when some shape
is activated, like this one is currently
activated from up here, we can go change a color
and stuff like that. So that's it. That's good for this
stole from up here. Also, we can go and change
the size hundred by hundred. Let's try it on. That's good. When we
don't want to see those. Just go hit. We were Move tool and
now they're gone. Just like that. We can move this tool at
it larger or smaller, whatever you need and the
quality will stay the same. So that's good with the stall. There is nothing else that I can show you about this tool. Go buy your own practice a
little bit with this store, there is too much of
those things stay is. So let's go and
practice a little bit. And you will see in a couple of minutes of working
with those tools, you will get familiar with
everything you need to know. So that's it from
me in this video. So guys, thank you for watching and see you in the
next one. Bye.
55. New Features in Photoshop Part 1: Hello guys. In this video, I will introduce you with
new stuff that came with the last version of Photoshop to be precise,
Photoshop 2019. So let's start. One of the few things that
are new in Photoshop. This version is
blend mode preview. In a previous version
of Photoshop one, we want it to go and add e.g. ledgers go, something like this. You'll see when I just
go over those areas, we have a preview on a
previous version of Photoshop. We needed to go click
each one of those, then we can only
see the preview. But with this version, we're just go over
with the mouse, hovers some thing and we
got this fact or example. We like this, okay, That's it. And stuff like that. So they figure it out. It's much better to go this way. Anyway, let's continue. The next feature
that we are going to talk about is the Frame Tool. It's a brand new
tool in Photoshop. This is especially good
for the people who create some brochures
or stuff like that. So basically we draw a
shape, something like this. And let's just say, I'm satisfied with this. And now what I've
done, basically, I just go from up here
and drag and drop those images and they will
stay inside this frame. So you guys can see
we can move it. We can use Transform
to re-size it. But what's important? These stay inside our shape, inside our frame tool. Great. As you can see, this is the
preview of our real image, how big it is. And also we can
grab our move tool and move it just like this, and place wherever we like. So let me go once again. From the second 11 release, we got our frame tool placed, and now I will just
drag and drop my image. And that's it. You can go resize it. And that's it. Basically, that's how
Frame Tool works. So we can get the same thing but rounded with this option. And the result will be the
same as you guys can see. So let's move on. This was a big change, honestly, the modern undo and
finally make sense. So let me show you what I mean. E.g. let me do
something like this. I drop four dots On a
previous version photoshop. When I wanted to
undo those steps, I needed to go. I could cut Control
Z to undo one. But if I do the same thing, if I press Control Set again, it will bring that
step again back. So it will just go one step forward and
one step backward. So that's what the
previous version was. Now in this new
version of Photoshop, It's honestly a lot better. Now, just press Control
Z and go step backwards. If you want to go and
do the step forward, just go, press Control,
Shift and set. That's it. On the previous version, it's really messed up and it takes me a lot of time
to get used to use this. Honestly, I needed
a couple of days to get used to this new feature, but it's quite better. Next new feature is color wheel. I see this is extremely
popular between artists, so this is color wheel. So how we can see
this color wheel? Just go from up here Window, click up here at the color. And if you don't see
colors like this, just go from up here. And probably you see
something like this. Just go and hit color wheel. So let me show you what
is this good, e.g. let's find out the
opposite of this color. So let me go and grab my
quick selection tool, excuse me, and just
create selection. I will just press
Select Subject. This is rough selection
is nothing special. Just to show you how
we can use this tool. And now I will invert
this selection by holding Control
Shift, and that's it. Now, let's go from up here. Choose Solid Color. It does matter which
color we pick for now. Okay, Now, let's go bring eyedropper tool and
take a sample of this. This is the color of it. Now, the opposite color will
be something like this. And now I'll go double-click up here and just click once
up here, and that's it. So we can go get some
different color, but never mind. Okay? And now I will go from up here, choose color and reduce
the opacity a little bit, and that's how we
can play with it. Okay, this is before and after. Great. That's it
about color wheel to this new feature is about
proportional transform. Let me show you why it is. So we have our layer and I'll choose from up here
Rectangular Marquee Tool. And I'll go draw
something like this. K upon release will
create a new layer. And I will fill it with some, let just say yellow color, something like this.
It doesn't matter. K, control the de-select. Now we have two layers, and my layer two is currently selected when I press Control D, it will bring us free transform. But what's new about it
on a previous version, if we wanted to maintain those proportion to
keep it the same, we need to hold Shift. But in this version
it's quite opposite. And just with our mouse, we can move and place
whatever it is. It will bring the
same proportion. And when I press the Shift, F will do the quiet opposite. So that's something you need
to know and to keep in mind. But what's also important, these don't affect the shapes. So it's quite
opposite with shapes. It's a little bit confusing, but it's nothing special really. When we're working
with shapes and e.g. we have our U-shape. Great. And if I want to go
and transform it, when I try to go
only with mouse, it won't keep those
proportions same. When I press Shift, it will bring them up so that something new in this
version of Photoshop.
56. New Features in Photoshop Part 2: Next new feature
that came up with this Photoshop is
default sample text. So this is really helpful. And previous version
we needed to go and try by your own
some font type in. And with this, you
have a preview. As you guys can see, Lorem Ipsum is our preview. We can go now from up
here, change your font, do some different things, see what we like, what we don't like, and stuff like that. We can also change the font
size and stuff like that. It's selected. One thing probably
some of you are gonna use is when I press
Control or Command H, my font is, my text
is still selected, but we don't see it. We can go and still
change your font, do some different things, changes size of it, and stuff like that. It won't affect. But personally for me, I like when I see this, okay, that's one thing. The second thing, when we
go and create selections, something like
this, it will fill the whole thing with our text, review, Lorem Ipsum, something that they found
this really helpful because I do a lot of
t-shirts and it was a waste of time
when I need to see how some texts look
on a different font. This preview, it's much
easier and faster. So that's good thing. Let's move on. This is one of the most powerful tools that they bring up
in this new version. So what it is, it's content aware fill, as you probably
know some of you, we already have
content aware fill, but it's much, much better now. So let me show you. My first movie will
be able to duplicate this layer so I don't want
to damage my background. Anyway, let's go create a
selection around this car. Let's go something like this. Okay, now let's go to Edit. Then we go to fill. And from up here we
got content aware. This is the previous version. As you guys can see, it's not something special. Let me go one step back
and do the same thing, but with new Content-Aware Fill, It's right up here,
Content Aware Fill. So when I click once, I have something like
this, this green area, and it shows me what is the area that will take a sample
for to make our image look better to how to remove
those pixels and what is the similar things that Photoshop algorithms
use to get it done? So we don't want this area. Let me just go delete
those. Just like that. Just paint over them. Great. And you'll see from up here our preview
of how things change. We can go in Greece or
decrease size of it. Anyway, I will go and
remove those area. Also. Great. Because we see
those lines up here is because those are selected, so we need to remove them. That will be my next step. From up here, we can go and change your
size of our brush. Or if we want to add
something to our selection, just go press up here, this but so I will go get my brush smaller
because of those areas. I will zoom in my image and
just go remove those areas. I will increase the size just
a little bit. That's it. And now, just to
remove those areas, you see how our results are already better. Great. When I'm satisfied with my
result, just hit, Okay? And what's also good about this is it won't damage your images. It will bring them
in a new layer. So you guys see this
is before and after. Great. Now let's do the same
thing with the second one. So I'll make sure I
select this one and just go create a rough
selection around our object. Great. Upon release,
Let's go try the old version of this stuff. Let's see Content-Aware. And let's see what
we are going to get. You see guys take a sample of some other things
and the results. One big good, like we can
get them with a new tool. So let's go one step back. Go to Edit, Content-Aware Fill, and now we have a preview. You will see we will
get the same results if we'll leave
those things same. So what we are going to do is I will go zoom
out a little bit. We need to remove this
area and also this car. So let's start. You'll see already better. And now I will
remove those areas. Just paint over it. Trust me, it will save
you a lot of time and results will be amazing. And every case, Let's
see results. Amazing. You see before and after, great. And now that's it. We remove those two
cars from our image. And that's how new Content Aware Tool works. I
hope you'll like it.
57. New Features in Photoshop Part 3: Next tool that we are
going to cover in this video is this
symmetry mode. Well, this is not exactly new
option for the sharp offer, this option and a
previous versions, but we couldn't find
it right up here. When we go and select brushes, we needed to go to
Preferences and then fight symmetry
options for painting. This option is especially
good for artist or for the people who paint lot in Photoshop and the similar stuff. Anyway, from up here, you see different options
that Photoshop offered to us. Let just go with this vertical place
ID, whatever you like. So I need to get my brush smaller because you
won't see anything. Great. I'll get it even more smaller. So whatever I paint on one side, it will reflect to the other. So basically this is
it about this store. So you can go do
whatever you like. And I'm not very precise because I have only
my mouse right now, but with a drawing tablet, it's absolutely different story. You can also get improved
those smoothing. So you see now edges
don't look rough. They did before. Anyway, that's it
about this tool. And we can also create
our own symmetry mode. So how we are going to do that? Well, just simply go to paths and I will
delete this path. Right now you see there
is no more, right? Let's go to the pen tool. I will go create
something like this. This is just something
to show you. Great. Now, when I go on
my brush and from up here, I'll go select it. And now you'll see
this butterfly. And that means we created
for symmetry mode. Okay? And now I can go paint
on the other side. I'll get reflection of it. So this is just to show you, you'll see results are not good. Anyway, that's it
about this store. I hope you'll like it. The next thing is multiple
artboard preview. So e.g. we have
this image, right? And we need to create e.g. let's just say one
image for Instagram and one for Facebook cover,
something like that. So I'll go from up here
and choose art board tool. And I'll just create
something like this. Right? Now from up here, I'll choose something like this and hit Enter
or Return key. And now I'm sure this is
image for my Instagram, and I can call it
Instagram grid. And now we have up
here at the name. I know this one
is for Instagram. And now I'll just click once up here and it will create
the same size art board. But we can go change that. I'll go to create
something like, I think it was something like this for our Facebook cover. That's it. What is good about it? We can see it all in one screen. So I will rename this. I will just type Facebook cover. Great, N Now I'm sure
this is Facebook cover. This is for Instagram and
this is my regular image. So I'll just go duplicate this one by holding
Alt or Option key. Great, now I'll select this
one for Instagram, Control T. I will resize it and create
something like this. When I'm satisfied,
Enter or Return key. And that's the same
one with the Facebook. I'll get it smaller. And let's just say I'm
satisfied with it. Hit Enter or Return key. And now I'll select those two, Facebook and Instagram image. And I'll go to layer, then go to Export As. And from up here we can
export the symmetries and you see preview
on one or second one. But when you press
control or command, you will see a preview of both of them and just go export them. All. This preview is a new
thing in Photoshop, so keep that in mind. It's really helpful. Sometimes. I found really
helpful this new option. So what it is is Distribute
Spacing Options. So e.g. let me just
go from up here and draw some random shapes, e.g. something like this. Okay? That's it. I created a couple
of random shapes. So I will go from now and
on my first and second, I will hold Shift and it
will select them all. And from up here when
we go to Move tool, now we got new option. It's this tribute. This is distribute horizontally. And what just happened? Now, the distance between each
one of those is the same. This is before and when I
press it, this is after. So let me just show you. I'll just create a new layer. Okay? This distance is the same
distance like those two. The same, like those
same and also same. So this is the same distance
between all of those. Let me just go delete them all. And let's do the same thing. But vertically. You'll see just random shapes. Great. Now go to layers
and select them all, and go to Move tool and
now select vertically. And now I'm sure that distance between each one of
those is the same. This is really helpful when
you're working in Photoshop. It really depends
what work you do, but this option is
really helpful. Now, let's discuss about scale, user interface, the font. So this is new feature also in this version of Photoshop
on a previous versions, when we go to Edit and
Preferences and interface, we didn't get this
scale UI font. So basically, you see
my interface is now pretty much
symmetrical because I use only full HD resolution. But for the people who
use for K displays, those icons become really small and it's really
hard to work with it. E.g. on a previous version, when you make your
font size large, you get larger letters, but this interface
still stay small. As you guys can see, currently, I'm on tiny because I
like work this way. E.g. let us go to large and
hit Okay, Nothing happened. I need to restart program and you will see the
difference before and after. So I'll go close. And now this is with the large icons on
a previous version. This was not possible, and you'll see those
icons are pretty big. And for my display,
this doesn't work. This will work for
the people who work with higher resolution
and stuff like that. So guys find what is good
for you and enjoy your work.
58. New Features in Photoshop Part 4: Hi, and welcome. In this video we are going to see new improved selections, objects selection in
Adobe Photoshop 2023. So they call it one
click, Fill and delete. So let's see how
this thing works. So first we need to go and grab our objects selection tool. Then I'll go and create some selection like this. Great. Now upon release, we have
something like this. This is our selection and
an a previous versions. We need it to go
up here to Edit, choose Content-Aware
Fill, and then make sure we add the right thing that will be inside
our selection. So I'm currently doing stuff that I want
to be only up here. So upon release when I hit, Okay, you will see
and results up here. And this is our selection. So let's go Control D.
And let me zoom in. You see what happened
with our selection. So let's go back and let's
see the new feature. I will undo this step. And now all I need to
do is I need to hold, Shift, then delete
and see results. So give him a couple of
seconds to process it. It's really the band on
which laptop or PC you got. And there we have it. So this is much better selection
with this new feature. And now what we need to do, we need to improve
this area up here, so how we can get this done? You see this is really, it definitely much, much better than the Fill,
Content-Aware Fill. And now what we need to do, we will go up here, choose clone stamp tool, took a sample from this area. And now we will just go
and paint this area, something like this
to make it better. So again, hit option and just
drag to clear this area. So how we can deal with this, it will take a
sample of this area and now just place it over, rate all the time to a new
sample by holding options, you will see this. Mouse cursor will change and you will get something
like this target. One-click with your
left mouse and just move that area, e.g. just going to do that, or this area is darker, we can go with this. It's not really something
that I'm satisfied with. And I will go with something
like this rate much better. And now we can go
focus on this area. And you'll see where
I'm going with this. So we need to improve this area. Also, we can take a
sample from here, make our brush a bit larger and just paint over that area. The sample of this one. Great. Again. And you see
now it looks much better. Great. And just
have fun with this. So your job up here will be to create something
similar with this image. I want to test your
skills with this. So I will not make
this 100% done. I will leave this up
to you to see how you are going to deal with this problem with
this specific image, how to remove that 100%. So this is the technique
that you need to use. And now it's really up to you how you are going to use it. So basically this is how we
can use this new feature. Go up here at the
object selection tool, create a selection of any
object and just hold Shift and then press delete
key and it will automatically delete that area, and it will make
that area the best. It can be by default
in Photoshop. Or we can use
content aware fill. But as you saw, it's much better when
they do their job, when Photoshop does it
with this new feature. So this is one of dx
samples about new features. So as I mentioned in this video, you will get a job to
get this area done to make sure this area is
clear as it can be. And that's it. See you in the next video. And don't forget to
upload your work to see how it there or not. Or e.g. we have up here those three
people on this image. And let me show you one example again with
new feature in Photoshop. So let's go grab
objects selection tool, and let's select this man. Let's create a
quick selection of this man just by doing this. And now once we have
this selection, we can go hold Shift
and Delete key to see how it will process it. So it's not perfect, but just see before and after, just see this edge up here, how it fall of this shape, how it followups,
this shadows up here. So I will undo this step. So you can see, you
see how much work it had done up here
in this area only. So let's go step back
before and after. It's really amazing. So we can go try
again on our own, go to Edit, and choose
Content-Aware Fill. And now we can see how it
will look with our fill. Basically, it's everything needs to stay up here as it is. All we need to
remove is this man, just hold and click. Okay. And now see results. Control D. You see
here is still there. That's what I'm talking about. This new feature is
pretty much amazing. Only if you want to
create Invisible Man, almost invisible man, Dann, go up here and choose
Content Aware Fill. I hope this new feature will help you as I think
it will help me. Because I really think
this is amazing Photoshop. Get to another level
each year they do amazing job with
those new features.
