is optimized for performance and delivering
faster export time. So it doesn't take time
to export videos even though doesn't use the
GPU power of system, it uses the CPU power. We're going to learn
all that as we move on. And then we have the
extensive audio editing. Okay. Deli provides comprehensive

lot of features. I think this concludes
this class on why you should choose D Life O.
3. Downloading and Installing Kdenlive: Hello and welcome back. In the last class, we talked about why you should
choose Dal life. What are some of the features
that can enable you? What are some of the
benefits that you will motivate you to get Dal life and start using it instantly. In this class, we are going
to look at how to get Slife, how to download it and
install it within our system. To access life, it's very easy. You can open your browser
and just type in Google. You can just go ahead and
search Life just like so. And you can hit and
enter, and this is the first one, Life.org you can see it over
here. All right. Video editing freedom. So it's going to bring you
over to this very platform. Now you have the
option to go ahead and download the software
directly from here. Once you click on this, it's going to download the software. So this is the place to download and it's going to
identify for your system, it's going to
automatically detect what operating
system you're using. Right now I'm using
Mark operating system and once you click
on this download, it's going to give you the
mark version of this D live. Alternatively, if you
want lower versions, you can come to
download over here. And you can see right now it
is available for Windows. You can have stand
alone installable. You can see the zip
one using Windows. If you have Windows, you
can just download directly. Also installed on your Windows. If you have Linux operating
system of different types, be it Ubuntu flat
pack or app Image, you'll be able to use. You can download that
particular version and then use for Apple they have for Intel
which is the one I use. So you can just go
ahead and click whichever operating
system you use, You can download it and just
go ahead and install it. The installation process is exceptionally simple and
it just click through. It's just step by step and you just install it. The thing. This concludes this tutorial on how to download and install Ten Life on our system. In the next class, we
are going to look at how to open already installed Ten Life and create a project
within a Ten Life Sultan. Next time, thanks for
watching and I look forward to seeing you
in the next class. Bye.
4. Opening and Creating a Project: In the last class, we
talked about how to download and install Dal
life on your system, be it on mark
operating system on Windows or Linux
operating system. In this class, we're
going to look at an already installed Dal Life. How to open and create a project to open Dal Life
that we've already installed. You can come to the
launch pad over here. You can just click
on the launch pad. And if you come here to the
top and just search for life, once you put in Dal Life, you'll be able to
see it over here. If you can just
click to kick start. Once you kick start T life, you'll be welcome to
this very platform. Okay, this is life, A brand new Cadle
life speech platform. So the first thing
you need to do is to start by creating
a project, okay? Everything is new here. So you can start by creating
a project, create project, can come over here
to file and save. Then you can define the location within your system where
you want to save it. Let's say we want to save
it in this det 2023. Then you can name, maybe
sample video editing, right? This one. And it's
just defined location. And you click Conceive and
you've now created a project. And you can see it over
here. Sample video editing. Now another thing you need
to define before you do anything within dive is the
Project Settings, okay? So you can come all the
way down to Project. Over here, you click on Project. You can come straight
down to Project Settings. This is before you
start anything. Now over here you have to look, there are different
kind of things, different kind of setup that
you have for the project. When you look at proxy guides, Metaddata project
files and catch data, you don't have to
touch anything here. Maybe later when you
start exporting things, then you start seeing
some catch data. But right now, the first thing is the most important
thing is the settings. You should stay at the
settings and you can come down here and you
can see this is HD. You can select full HD, You can select full HD. You can do ten ATP, either 30 frame rate or
25 frame rate per second. For me, I usually go
for 30 frame rate, so you can just
select 30 frame rate. And you can just come down here, make sure you include video and audio together and then
every other thing. Just leave it at
default, if you want, you can customize the location where you want to
save your project. You can customize the location where you want to
save the project. From here, the default
is this directory, okay? In Cadle, if you also always find a copy of what you're
creating in this folder, if you want to
have customizable, you can customize it and
you can just go ahead and define the location where
you want to save it. You can see allow.
You can see allow. And then you can just
specify the location where you want to save it and you can just go ahead and save it. Okay? So you can either use a default or you can customize
and use it on your own. But first, the first thing
is once you select HD, ten TP and 30 frame per second, you can click on Okay. And it requests you that
everything is going to change. You can just go ahead
and say okay to this. And you can see it
at the top here that everything is now
changed now to HD ten, ATP 30 frame rate per second. So that is the most basic
thing you should look out for when creating a project and
when starting opening life. So I think this does it
for this class on how to open and create a
project within life. In the next class, we
are going to look at the general overview of
the Dal Life platform. Okay, what is what
and why is this here? What are the very what
are the functions, why it is being put in this location and what
can you use it for? We just get to know everything
and why it is there. Until next time, thanks
for watching and I look forward to seeing you
in the next class. Bye.
5. General Overview of the Platform: In this class, we're
going to look at the general overview of
the Tal Life platform. When you open Tal Life,
this is what you see. We've tried to
create a project and we've done the project settings. We've added some
project settings. And what you see here is just a complete editing
platform of Tal Life. Now to your left, this is where you have the first
thing down here. This is the project being, okay? The project being is where
you dump all of your media, be it image, audio, or video. You can dump all of them here and they
can be visible here. Now you have the option to add in different
kind of media. I've just added this one. You can add any media
by just coming over here and just dragging and
dropping, just like so. You can drag and drop into
the media very easily. You can come over here,
you can see you can add a clip or a folder if you want
to add a complete folder. You can add, you
can add color clip, you can add image sequence, you can add titles later. We'll see how to add
titles, template titles, and create animation sequence
and other online resources. You can download online
resources as well, and we then you have
other features. Like you can create a folder over here within the
same project bed. You can delete an item or you
can add tags to the item. Or you can click on this three lines to have the option to increase the view in the media that you have
within the project. So this is the zooming effect. You can increase or decrease
the thermal view over here, you can decide what to put, what to show in the footage
that you've imported. Whether to show the date, description, or
rating, or thereabout. You can vary all
these from here. And ascending sort by name, duration, rating type, and tone. You can select all these and
it'll be sorted accordingly. And then you have
the search bar. You can search for any
footage of your choice within the tal life,
this is project. You still have the access
to access the compositions. Later we'll see how to
use compositions and some of the start items and
other features you have. Effects, A bunch of
effects are here. So you access them
by just coming to. You can just go
ahead and search. You can just go ahead and
search for any effect. You'll be able to have access.
We have clip properties. Whatever clip you've selected, you'll be able to see its
properties over here. All right, so there
are a bunch of things. These are undo history, all the history of what
you've done within Cadiype. You'll be able to see
all the movements, all the additions,
all the editings. You see them over here
and you can undo or redo any kind of
history from here. Now this is the media bin. And next we have
the clip monitor. This is the clip
monitor where we have a brief preview
of what we have. This is, for example,
based on this footage, once you select,
as you hover over, you'll be able to
see the footage, the video that you
have on this footage. When you click, you'll
be able to see, this is a preview
of what is inside. This is the clip monitor. This is what is inside
the project being, okay? It's not in the project
panel yet, okay? In the project being, it's
not in the project panel, which means it's
not available yet. Even if you render this, you'll not be able
to see anything. So that's project being. There are a bunch of things
over here that I will show you as we start and then
we have the library. You can create a library
of different kind of, you can create folders within
libraries and you can add different kind of footage
or media within a library. And you can add
timeline selection to the library depending and you can delete things from here. Next is we have the
project monitor. This is when you drag and drop
an item into the timeline. Then you'll be able
to have access to, you move the playhead across, then you'll be able
to have access to the project Monitor. This is reviewing what
is inside the timeline. Okay, so you have
the speech editor. These are a bunch
of other things which I will show you how to use speech editor and project notes in case if you have
project notes, maybe to showcase
your preference or your progress or you want to add some effects as you move on. So you can add different kind of notes to help you stay up
to date and organized. Now down here, this is where
you have the timeline. The timeline is classified
according to video and audio. You can see this is track
12 are video tracks, this is audio track. Okay? In each case, you'll see that they
are collapsible. You can collapse, and you
can collapse all of them. So you can collapse
with just a click of the and you'll be able
to see them clearly. You have these are video tracks, these are audio tracks, and you can lock and unlock. These are simple features
that you can use. Over here we have a bunch of editing features which I'm going to demonstrate to you how to use all of them.
This is a playhead. As you move across, you'll be able to see the
preview over here, like I said. And then down here we have other features like the
effects and composition. As you move on, you'll see
whatever effects you see, you'll be able to see
the properties over here and time remapping, you see over here subtitles. We learn how to add subtitles
within our footage, and then over here you have the other bunch of controls
to play around with. Okay, We'll look into
all of this just to see how we can make exceptional
editing within our footage. And lastly, we have
the zoom effect. Okay, zoom feature down here. You can zoom to any length, so we'll be able to see clearly what's in the timeline
and you can zoom out. And at some point you'll
be able to zoom to fit, so everything now fits into
the project so you can see it very clearly and
you'll be able to make cuts or edits accordingly. Okay, so this is
just a bit about the general overview of
the Dal Life platform. Okay, so I think this
concludes this tutorial on the general overview
of the Dal Life Platform. In the next class, we're going
to look at how to import a media generally and manage
media within dialyze. Okay, how do we import
media and how do we manage it to start
creating our own projects? Until next time,
thanks for watching, and I look forward to seeing
you in the next class. Bye.
6. Importing and Managing Media: All right, hello
and welcome back. In the last class,
we talked about the general overview of
the Dal Life platform. And in this class we are
going to look at how to import and manage media
within the Dal life. Okay, So to import media, all you need to do is to start by stealing of the
project being over here. And if you come up here, so you can click on
this small arrow, you can add clip or a folder like I said,
you can add a clip, you can just click and you'll
be able to navigate within your system wherever
you have it saved. For example, I want to add
this whole folder of videos. Can you just select
and click on Okay? And it's going to import
all of this folder. You can see it's just
importing everything. Have a bunch of videos inside, so you can see them over here. Whichever one you select, you'll be able to see a
preview of it over here. If you click, you'll be
able to see a preview. This is the clip
monitor that showcasing what is in the beam and it's not in the project
timeline, right? So you can see different
kind of videos, very fine and powerful videos that we're going
to use for this. There are a bunch of
different kind of footage, you can see different, can see them of different types. This is how to import videos. Another way to import
is you can go back to the folder containing
the image or the videos. For example, I want
to import this image, I can just drag and
drop it over here, and it's just going to come up. You can see I've just imported this folder containing
all of these images. So I can just click and you see now I have all
of these images. You'll be able to see the review within this very clip monitor. So this is images, you can do that or you can
manually create a folder. If you are interested,
you can just go ahead and create
another folder. For example, you
can add a folder within the images if you
want or if you want. You can make it independent. And you can see the
folder over here. You can rename it if you want. I can call this audio. And once you click out, you'll be able to add
things inside here. So let's say we go ahead
and open our folder. You can just go ahead
open the audio file. If you have any audio,
you can just go ahead and drag and drop them
directly into this file. Assuming at this moment
I don't have any audio. Check here, I think I
have it in this tutorial. Let's say I have this
audio, this one. So I can just drag anyone, I can specifically drop
it in this audio file. Once you click, you'll be able
to see that it's imported. So you can see this
is an audio file and it's been imported
into our media. Basically, this is how to import media into the media bin, or the project being now
another way to import it. The next thing is to learn how to import it
into the timeline, so we can be able to see the preview within
the project monitor. Now to import a media
into the timeline. There are two ways to do that. You can drag easily and drop it into the
timeline just like so. Okay, just dragging and dropping will drop the entire video. The whole length of the video. Okay, without
removing any section. Now, this is the
first way to do it. The second way is you can
preview it on the clip monitor. You can be able to preview on the clip monitor either
you can come over to the clip monitor and
you can navigate with the playhead to any
location of your choice, Assuming I want this point that the tortoise start moving. So you can just
click on letter I. You can just press a letter I
within your system and it's going to create an
point into your clip. So you can define
this movement up to maybe this point you want to
capture up to this point. And then you can hit on letter
to define the outpoint. Now instead of dragging and
dropping the entire clip, you can just drag and drop this. And it's just going
to drag and drop that particular section that you have defined.
So you can see it. This is the complete
clip. But then, so this is the section
that you've just defined. All right, so in an outpoint, it's very easy to define. Okay? So you can do that on any clip. You can just select
define the point. And the outpoint, you
can just easily drag, you can see this web
form is just simplifying that there is an audio within
this particular track. You can define
point and then you can move to another point. Maybe this point
and say out point. You can just drag and drop
it inside the timeline. Okay, This is the second way. Another way to do it is
you can still position your clip anywhere
and you can hit a letter V and it's going to and drop it from
that point that you've defined as you drag and drop it inside this timeline manually. You can do it using
the shortcut keys, or you can do it using
these features as well. So the first one
is if you define a given selection,
for example, here. And you can come over here
and say the set zoom in. So you can set zoom
into this point. You can just go ahead and
navigate to another point. And you can say, set zoom
out, okay, to this point. So this is the area or this
is the range you want to see. You can just go
ahead if you like. Also, you can add to insert
it into the project, this particular selected area you can insert it into
the project being, once you click on
this, it's going to be inserted into this project
being wherever you took it. So you can come to
this small arrow and you'll be able to see
that particular section that you define the point and out point or the
subsection of this, okay? Or alternatively,
after defining here, you can just drag and
drop it here very easy. So this is the beauty of
dragging and dropping. You can do that
across any media, e, audio or video. You can just dd and
drop any media. This is audio. I have
drag and drop it. And you can see, we'll be able to see the properties over here. This is the wear
form of the audio. And then you can
drag and drop images in the same format,
same formula, same. You can just drag and drop
it maybe across the clips. Okay, In between any clips
that you've selected. So you can select this and be able to see the
preview over here. And equally, you'll be
able to see the preview on the project monitor because
that's what you have created. Okay, so basically
this is how to import and manage your
medium and then add them within the timeline
and just carry out a brief preview of what
you have in the timeline. Okay, within the
Da Life software. So I think this brings us to the end of importing a media. Just take note that you cannot
import a media directly into the timeline like we
have in other software. You can easily drag
and drop media from the folder directly
into the timeline. It doesn't work like
that in Cad Life. In the next class, we
are going to look at how to do basic editing
within Cad life. Okay? How do we edit some clips? How do we remove some mistakes? How do we basically construct something that's reasonable
within project timeline? So the next time,
thanks for watching, and I look forward to seeing
you in the next class. Bye.
7. Basic Video Editing: All right, so in
the last class we talked about how to import and manage media within
the project being and even import part of
it into the timeline. And in this class we're
going to look at some of the very basic editings that we can make within Cata Life. Okay, so let's say we have these videos and images and even audios that
we've imported. So let's say we want to
start dragging and dropping, but we want to use the
clip monitor in and out feature so we can define the areas where we
want to bring in. So for example, you see these
are some tourists swimming. Okay? Husband and wife, maybe boyfriend and
girlfriend swimming. So we can easily drag and see, this is the point
when they enter the beat the sea and
then they are swimming and this is the
point when they're viewing some beauties
underneath the water. You can see these are
like two or three steps. This is the entrance and
this is the viewing. Let's say we start
at the beginning, we'll call this an point. And then we move up to
this point, the entrance. And then we can call
this an out point. We can easily drag this and
drop into the timeline. We can extend it to zoom out so we can be able to
see very clearly. Let's move this back. You can see we have that particular section
of the entrance. And then we can move a little
bit further from here, we can define another
point up to this point. Yeah, before they get together, holding their hands
up to this point, I can put an out point here and I can drag and drop it here. And then we can move from
this point when they hold their hands and create an point here and made up to this point and create
another outpoint. Or we can extend
up to the end and create another out point
and drag and drop. We have three basic
sections to this video. We can add as many clips
as we want as women. I want to add another clip
from here at the beginning to showcase the beauty of the ocean before they
even start swimming. Let's select this video. You can see if we
try to play it, you'll be able to see this is the bigger picture
of the entire sea. Let's say we select from this
moment, from this point. Let's select this point as
the out intro in point. And then here, possibly
up to A as the out point. So we can just easily drag, so instead of us
to drag and drop, there's another way you can
place the timeline here. And then you can come
over here and just say Insert the clip in
time line zone. So you can click on
Inserting the Timeline Zone, and you can see
it's being inserted at the beginning of it all. So it's just going
to be inserted. I think this is quite too long. So we can come here,
select this point. So maybe, let's say
we select the clip. And we can use this a tool because this whole
class is about editing. So this is the selection tool, we can use the reso tool, you can see with this red line, you can make a cut anywhere. So you select and create a cut, and right now we've
created a cut. So you can go back to the selection and
then you can select this whole side and right click and say delete
selected item. And you can see now you
can move this section. Now to move this main section, we can zoom out a little bit to remove this remaining section. Here we can use this
feature, this pec, okay? So you can select and drag. You can see you can drag and move this section if you
want to clip it here, you can clip it easily. And if you want to
clip the rest also, you can do that using the clip feature so you can
come back to your selection. This feature just
enables you to do not use the time line
zone for any insight. You can disable that from here. And you can see that we
have these trucks imported. These are video trucks
there, audio trucks. Even though this is
flat, because it doesn't have any
audio, it's flat. Let me try to import
something that has an audio so we can just
understand. Like this one. We can select this
one to no audio. Let's select something that has an audio in it. Okay. This one. So you can see, we can
see the audio form. We can at any given point
define you can hear it. Yeah, so let's define
this as the point. And let's move maybe
up to this point. And then define this
as an outpoint. So you can just drag
and drop this in our timeline so you
can zoom out so we'll be able to see
it pretty clearly. This is the audio. You can
as well separate the audio and the video if you don't
want them connected. So you can write, click
and say on Group, over here on group clips. So which means now
they can function individually without
affecting one another. So you can select
this at this moment, I don't want the
audio, so you can delete selected item
and it's not deleted. You can move this to any point another way in terms
of the editing, if you select any
property or any clip, you can use any of this feature. This is the Space Tool. This is the slip tool, and this is the recall tool. If you want to know exactly
what a particular tool does, you can just sit on the shift
key and you're able to see more description about
that particular tool that you're selecting
if you enable this. You press on the shift key, you'll be able to
see the definition and what it does exactly. Okay? You can just go ahead and, and keep playing around
with it and see what, and what you can add and what, and what you can reduce. Now another way to edit a
particular clip is by trimming. You can trim from the edges. You can come to the
edge of any clip until your cosor turns to
this horizontal sign. You can just easily drag, you can see now you are deleting or you are trimming
from the left edge. This is reversible at any point. If you want to reverse it, you can select and you
can reverse it and it's going to bring back that
section that you have trimmed. Let's zoom this to fit two projects so you
can see everything. You can do the same treatment also from the right hand side. You can just drag. And
again, this is reversible. You can reverse it if
you're interested. Then you can move across clips. You can move the clips, you can interchange
them if you want. You can create clips over here. You can lock a particular
clip from editing. If you lock this, it means
all the clips that are here, they cannot be edited. You cannot alter
anything from here. Even if you try
to create a card, it's not going to create any card from here
because it's been locked. So you have to
unlock it for you to create a card so you can
see what that means. Okay, so you can enable or
disable a particular video. With this can enable or disable and with the
playhead you can move across and you'll be able
to see the preview from the project monitor.
So you can enable. And then over here you can activate or deactivate
a particular track. If you select this, a
truck becomes active. And if you select this,
track becomes inactive, which means it's not going to respond to any editing
when it is inactive. When you select, it becomes active and you can
edit accordingly. Like I said, again,
this is collapsible. You can collapse
them and you can name the trucks by
just double clicking. You can name any truck, you can call it truck,
maybe this one. You can double click and you
can call it audio truck. Very easily, you click out
and you fred name your truck. If you want to add a
truck, you can write, click anywhere and say inside truck or delete a truck
or Thumbinalview. You want to check the
views on the terminal. You can adjust the terminal
properties from here, okay? So there a bunch of things that you can do and the bunch of things that you can play around with when it comes to editing. So over here again, you can add a trucks, the clips on directly
into the timeline. Or you can insert it in between. If you made a
mistake you want to insert a particular clip, you can easily use this
feature to insert again, if you have any issues, you can always use
the shift key or press the shift key to see more definition of
what that means. Over here you have
more controls, like if you want to do some
preview within your video, you want to do a quick preview. You can add previews on you, define the areas you want to
quickly preview to see how it's render and see what it
looks like at the end of al. You can also do
that from here and you can stop the
rendering accordingly. Okay, we can enable automatic
preview if you want, and you can do that very easily. So this is one of the
beauty of using catalyze. It's enriched with a lot of features that you
can easily play. This audio mixer you can
click to enable it from here. And you can carry out very basic things if
you're interested. And this is the subtitle tool. Later I will show you
how to use subtitle. Now, another key
interesting thing that I want to show you when
it comes to editing is the fading in and out as we navigate across through
the editing process. Let's go back to
the selection tool. Let's say at this moment, let's say we have this tool and we want to create a
fading and fade out. Let's zoom this a little bit so we can be
able to see clearly. All right, so let's
say at this point, whenever you hover
over any clip, you'll be able to see
a red dot over here. When you click on that red dot, it's going to give
you a fed out. Okay? This is possible
on videos and an audio. It's just going to
give you a fed out. Which means this video
is going to just die out naturally into
blacks, just like. So now you have
the option to play out with the Fed Out
feature going to give. Once you click, it's going
to give you that fed out. And you can play with the duration of the
fed out from here. You can reduce it. If
you're interested, you can see now we
are reducing it. You can increase it manually. Also, if you're interested,
you can see from here if you plays from the full
opacity to zero opacity, okay, From 100% to zero. You can do that also on
audio. Let's give it a try. If you have an audio, assuming you have
an audio truck, you can just drag and
drop here and you can create both at
the intro and outro. You can go over here, you can navigate to
the top, you click, you just be able to
see that fading in. You can vary the extent of it. Manually you select, you'll
be able to see the control. Also over here, you
can manually increase the extent or you
can reduce directly. It's available on all of them, both in image and video. This is fed in, okay, this is fed in. It starts from zero black, and then it just naturally goes in and you'll be
able to see the view directly onto 100% That's one of the powers of
the Fed in and out. It's a very key feature that you have to learn
when you're editing. I think this does it on this tutorial on the
basics of editing, how to bring in clips, trim them, creating a cart, and using the spacer and other tools I have just
for basic editing. Even bringing in the media by defining the in and out point accordingly from
the clip monitor. I think this does
it on the Torial. In the next class, we
are going to look at how to add and manage
bureaus within deal. Okay? Bureaus are important because mostly what we deal with is the era where we have the main few Tage but then true the explanation
truly tutorial. You may want to have a bureau, maybe demonstrating an image or a video or
something like that. And then go back
to your main era and then continue
explaining until next time. Thanks for watching
and I look forward to seeing you in
the next class by.
8. Adding Transition: In this class we're
going to look at how to add transitions
in between clips. Okay, So in Dal Life, the way we add transitions is completely different
from other software like you have to sometimes
drag and drop the transition in between the clips and then you have the properties to play around with. But in catal life,
transitions are added in very different ways
to add a transition, all you need is just to define the media that you
want to connect. For example, in this Tittoral, I want to connect this media, and then these two media, I want to connect
the two of them. So what you need to do is to
take one up, for example. You just take this one
up and then you could just use the spacer. You just drag a
little, all right. Then you can just
select everything. Let's say we select all.
Let's select everything. Okay, and just move this a
little into the other clip. You can just move it a
little bit into this clip. What you now do is
you can now look in, in between this
clip and this clip, there's one pink dot. Okay, once you click
on that pink dot, the transition is being added. You can see it over here. It's a default
dissolve transition. You can just try it. Let's play it and see. Can see it's just a default
dissolved transition. If you think it's too short, you can increase the duration. You can see it, that's
the default transition. But you can increase the
duration if you want. You can extend this
a little bit more. Then you can select
on the transition, come to the top here. Or you can zoom
out a little bit, you can come to the top here. And then you can drag and
extend it to the end. Okay, So you can now have a full transition in between
these. So let's have it. It's quite smooth and it
moves to the other one, you can see it's quite smooth. This is one way if you want to adjust what kind
of transition, because maybe probably
you don't want it to be the default dissolve. You can come over here from
the effects composition. You can be able to see the composition truck over here and you have the white
method. What kind of wipe? This is the default, none,
which is the dissolve. You can insert different ones. You can have this bundle. You have bundle.
Let's try a preview, and then you see what
we're talking about. This is a preview.
Okay, this is bundle. And you can try another
other one of your choice. You can see this cloud. And if you try it, you
can just see this is it. And I think it's smooth, but I think that bundle is much better bando horizontal,
bundle vertical. So let's try vertical. Let's see how it's going to be. So you can see it's really, really nice and interesting, and you can apply it to anyone. You can vary the softness of
the occurrence over here. The default is this, so
you can keep varying it, and if you want to invert
the effect, for example, from vertical to horizontal, you can invert or
revert it back. You can do that with
some of the selections. So this is the first one. Let's try to add
on the other ones. Let's zoom out a little bit, or let's zoom to projects. So you can come over here, select this project, unless we have this a
little bit below it. And then over the top one, so you can see the
pink dot over here. You just click on it and
you see it's been inserted. The transition has
been inserted. Now you select. Let's
try a preview again. The default is dissolved. You can see it. It dissolves
into this number of fish, and it's quite interesting. But if you don't want again, you can just select
and come over here and just change
it a linear by y, bottom left. So let's try this. A can see it just quickly. The transition is quite nice. And you can try any other one. You can try cuttings and
you can just move on. There are a number of them, so you can just go ahead and explore and see
which one you can do this one in this case maybe we have to
take in this one. Maybe you can take it up and
you can bring it in between. Also it just transits in between if you like,
you can just come over, it could be from
the bottom or from the top any of the clip you
can inside the transition in between once the
intercepted or they just cross one another just like you can hit from the top or
from the bottom one. Once you hover over, you'll be able to see the pink color, so you don't hit
from the top one. So let's say we hover over this and you'll be able
to see the pink color. So you just hit and you can see the transition
had been added. Okay, so again, you can
select vary the effect. Let's say we give it
something like this. Radial bar. Okay?
Matrix Nic article. So let's see what this does. And I think after this,
yeah, this is okay. Okay, so you can
see the smoothness. Let's play it one more time. You can see the smoothness
in the movement. So another thing that I usually add at the end of
it all is again, I used to add the fade out. Okay. To indicate
the end of my clips, I can just add a fade out. So you can do that
across any clip. All right. Like in this one
you can see the way it ends. It's just abrupt. Okay. It
just ended just like so. But then if you add,
hover over to the top. You can see the red button, the red circle. You
can just select. And then you just
apply a fade out. So it just dies out to
zero, just like that. That's a very good transition. Also from you can do that, you can apply that also at
the beginning of the clip. Let's come over here
and there's inside one. You can vary the length a
little bit to this point. And the less video
starts from black. And then it gains as
you move on like that, you can see the video
is starting to come up. Okay, That's basically how to add transitions within clips. It could be within videos or
it could be within video. And even images you can
select in any image. Let's try one with an image, for example this one. Let's say we want to
try with an image, we have this image inserted. So we can just select on this, we hit on this, and you can see the transition
has been added. We can just add any
transition of our choice. Let's say this save article, and then we select
and we complete. This is in between
video and image. It's very easy also.
It's very possible. So you can see it's just
because of the set out. Let's say we have it,
let's play on Moti. You can see how perfect
it just went off. Okay. I think this does it
on this jural on how to apply transitions in between
Eclipse within Dallife. In the next class
we're going to look at how to add bureaus
within Ktallife. Okay, so it's very
easy to add bure so we can move from
one clip to another. The smooth movement is
perfect and it's very, very easy for
demonstration purposes. For people who do
tutorial related courses, you can easily assign
or put in reals to demonstrate some things
while you explain in the Er. Okay, so until next time. Thanks for watching
and I look forward to seeing you in the
next class, Bye.
9. Adding B-Rolls: In the last class, we
talked about how to add transitions within
video clips in Tal life. And in this tutorial,
we're going to look at how to add roles. So roles are generally
important when you're trying to demonstrate a particular concept while explaining on the erroll. And you want to demonstrate or showcase something
through your tutorial, you can just showcase it. Usually we have it at
the top of the main Er. The main time line or the main track where you have all your clips is
called the Errol, and anything that comes
above it is called the role. You can vary them. You
can vary the position. You can even vary
the arrangement. And even you can add
different kind of effects. So let's say in this
very tutorial we are explaining about
this type of turtle. And then maybe probably
we want to bring in this type of this one that
this one is trying to catch, even though it's an image we
can just try to select or we can define the area
and then we can just drag and drop it
above the timeline. So you have the option to
come to the edge over here until your coastal turns
to this horizontal sign. You can just drag and trim it. You can trim also from the
other edge and you can move it to specify the exact point
where you want it to start, assuming I want,
while explaining this about this total,
this one to come up. But unfortunately you can see this one is not filled up, okay? It's not a 16 by nine ratio,
so we have to change it. Usually we'll come to effect. We can search for position, position and zoom this one. So you can drag and
drop it as a feature. And then you can see it in effect on composition over here. So you come to
size. Usually it's a size I want to increase, so you can drag a little bit. So it fills up, okay, until it fills up the
canvass, Okay, you can see. So let's see again, let's
play it one more time. So you can see while I'm
explaining something underneath this particular total and this
other one comes up, okay? And then when you explain
about it, and then this, we'll go back to the in
total and then we continue. But then for you to have
it to be smooth in nature, you have to create a transition. A smooth transition.
You can come down here until you
see this pink sign. You can just hit on it
and you see inserted a transition which you can hold from the edge and
reduce the length. Okay, up to this,
something like this. It doesn't have to be
an abrupt interaction, it's just be a
smooth interaction. So you can see it just
simply transit to this one. Then the transition out also you have to insert another
transition over here. So you can just select and
you can move it to the edge. It just translates
into the main one. You can see it quickly
translates into the maine. Again, in each case,
you can select and vary the
transition you have. Because the default
is a dissolve, we can try this bando
horizontal at the outskirt and you can see now it just quickly opens up
to the other one. You can continue. This
is one way to add a bureau in terms of an
image as you're explaining. Now, we can add the
same bureau as a video. We can just select and
add a bureau as a video. Let's say we go back
to the project pin and then we can select this one. As we are explaining or
as we are viewing this, you can see that
those guys can now come in into the beach
and then start looking. So let's say they're in, so
let's say we drag this couple and drop them even though
they are too long. Okay, They are too long. So we can drag and find a
given section of the flow. Let's say they are
flowing towards this guy. So let's find this. Okay, let's say at this
point, this is point. Let's have our point
here, It, letter. And then we can just
move on to this point. So we can have our
out point over here. And then we can just
easily drag and drop. Okay, so we drag and
drop and it's going to be as we're
explaining about this. Then suddenly this video
of them comes up and then it goes back to its
continue the explanation. This one also, we can make it smooth by adding transition, so we can come to the bottom and hit on this popular color. And then we can still
come to the edge and limit or reduce the
length of the transition. Okay, So we can check over here, let's make it bob vertical. And then let's play it so you
quickly transit, okay, in. And then we can add the
same transition outside, so we can select and
reduce the length of it. And then we can change the kind of transition we're
going to have. Let's call this this
horizontal blinds and less so you can see
easily, it just moves in. So this is the power of having
roles within your clips. It's very easy and it makes your works appear much
more smoother and nice. Okay, so in each case
you can have it. So it just transits
while you explain. It translates into the next one and then translate
to the main work. Okay. So I think this does it for the Torial on how to add rolls into the video footage that you're editing
within kettle life. In some cases, you may
need to add tracks. Okay. If you want to
add tracks again, you can just come over here, I say inside a truck and you can define
how do you want to track just one track or two tracks if you want to
insert more than one track? And is it going to be above the existing track that you've clicked or below or under it? You can see is it
above or below? And is it going to be a video
track or an audio track? Sometimes you may have
to have both of them, audio track and
video track. Okay? Sometimes you have to
have one audio track, sometimes you have
one audio track also. Sometimes you have
to have video track, sometimes audio track only, and sometimes you have
to have both of them, audio track and video track. Okay? So you can define the
name of the track from here, so before you even go anywhere, you can call this Ro. Ro. Okay, so let's
say we have V track, so one audio, one
video at the top, okay? So you can see them. Okay, So it's very easy to kind of adding the
number of tracks. You have very much controls, like we've explained as regards the activeness and non activeness
of a particular track. Okay, so I think this does it
on this tutorial on how to add res into your main clips. In the next class,
we're going to look at how to add in text and titles. Okay, text and titles
within talife are very, very interesting and you will make your work appear
much more professional when you add text and maybe with some animation story salt. Next time. Thanks for
watching and I look forward to seeing you in the
next class. Right?
10. Adding Text and Titles: In the last class, we
talked about adding barrels within our
clips in Dal life. And in this class
we're going to look at how to add text and titles. Okay, so adding text
and titles can make our work appear very,
very much better. Because texts can
send in a lot of message to your viewer when
you add them correctly, as captions or as
titles in your videos. So to add a text in life, all you need is just to
start by coming to the top. Over here, still at the project in, you can come to the top. Click on this small
arrow and you can see you can add the title clip. Okay, So you just click and you'll be brought into
this very platform. Don't be confused.
This is very simple, explain everything over here. You have the Pan tool. This is selection tool. You can use it to
navigate around and you can add a text
directly using this. You can add a rectangle. If you have, you
can add a circle, or you can add an image from
an external source, okay? Or you can click on this to open a document or to save
this as a template, or to create new title template, or to download an existing
template and apply. So what this means
is you click on this and you can start typing. So you can just search. For example, welcome to Lanka. Okay. Is an island that I
visited. It's very nice. So you can just select
and you can do manually adjust the position on your own or you can play
around with it from here. And both the width and height, you can play around with them. Or you can come over here
to check the alignment. You can align center and everything to be
aligned at center. Okay, Over here you have the
basic text control features. Like the phone style. You can change the phone
styling from here. There are different
styles you can check around and just change
to any thing like this. You can play around with
the sizing if you're interested and bleak a bolt. You can etallize, can underline, you can do all of
things from here. The coloration, I intentionally
made it to be white, but then you have a much
control as regards the color. You can change it to any
color of your choice. You can select any color. And it's going to work part, this is because it's underwater. So white color is going
to do a good job. And then we have the
outline. This is a solid. We make it white, the outline, and make it a little bit yellow. And we can make it red if
you're interested or something like something like
this is good as Okay, it takes in, you can
see welcome to Anki. And then we can add in
a shadow if you want. We can add some shadow. And we can vary the
blurring nature over here and the
offset as well. You can vary it from here, can vary this one also. Okay? And you can align left, right, center, and then
the letter spacing. You can come down here and
you can make it a typewriter. If welcome to Lana, you can make it a
typewriter effect. You can change the frame step. And you can change
how do you want the typewriter effect to happen. Is it by character, or by word, or by line can do all that. So let's go by character,
go by character, and then you can change
virtually a lot of things here. And then as regards
the background, you can change the color. Right now, we can change it. If you want to change the color, you can just change
the color directly. I think some like blue
could do a good job here. All right, so let's say
we select blue can see. But the main color,
the main background behind the text is check out. Which means it is
background less. Okay. It doesn't have,
it's transparent. You just can only
see the text. Okay? So you can vary the
size also from here, so you can add in
some animations and patterns if
you're interested. We come to animations in detail so you understand what
I'm talking about. But then there are
other features, text editing features over here. So as regards the background
can change the coloration. Show the guides. If you don't
want to show the guides, you can show them,
use the grids. If you don't want
to show the grids also you can show
them over here. You can di select or
you can zoom to fit. You can see everything to fit. And then you can
increase the sizing, also minorly from here. And you can zoom
everything to fit, okay? You can make everything
here to fit, can fit. You can zoom to fit, or you
can zoom to the actual size, or you can zoom to fit so
it fits in everything here. Once you're done here, you
put in everything you needed. You can just, you
can come over here, This is the properties, you
are done editing everything. As you gas the text, you
can just go ahead and come over here and see
Create the title. So you can click on this. You can save and add to Project. Okay, save and add to
the Project Saving. You have to give it a
name, so it's going to save this as for you, maybe that you can
use as part of your brand within your channel
or within your business. So let's call this Epic text. Okay, Epic text. And it quickly saves
it in the direction where life saves its template. Okay, so clan save, and it's going to save this, and it's going to add it
as a text, epic text. And it has added it as a
text into our project pin. So you can drag
and drop it here, then you caricize it because we want it to cover justice area. Welcome to Lanai. Let's play a preview. Welcome. To Lana. You can see
how perfect it is. Then we'll move into this. I think this is fantastic. Welcome to Lana. But the blue color
is interfering. So let's remove the
blue background. So you can write,
click on the text. You can come to Edit
Clip over here. So we can come over here
and then maybe select this one and say okay to
this because it's blue, we can update the
title Seven project and it's going to be updated. Okay, You can select, you can come over
here and see replace. And it's going to replace
with the existing one. All right, so you can see it, it's actually being replaced. Alternatively on your own, you can just go ahead and drag
and drop it and it's going to show the same effect
that you have across. Let's say we can remove this slit selected item and we can just
drag and drop this. All right, so assuming
we want to update this text because we
don't want the looks. Okay, so you can
just go ahead and come over to the text and say a clip and exchange it. For example, the background
is what we don't want. We can change the background, click on this, we can give
you something like this. And I think we can
say okay to this. I think this is okay.
This looks much better. So we can just update and it's
going to update automatic. So we can go ahead and try it. You can see welcome to Lanka. And I think this
color is okay because it's blue color and it's
aligning with the C color. Welcome to Lankawi. I wanted to stop
here and then we can just drag and drop them. Okay, welcome to Lanky. Okay. Let's say we have another
text, Enjoying the rides. Let's come over here and
still come to add text title. And then we can come over here, select and say Enjoying
the Enjoying the Moment. All right, so you
can align center, but because it's the boat, we have to bring it
down a little bit. So let's click out and then
bring it down a little. You can add any shape from rectangle to saco
can add anything. So let's say we'll add
this, scdrop it here. Let's say we'll add this even though that
doesn't mean anything, but we can just suggest
for demonstration purpose, we can just go back to the selection tool and
just a drag and drop here. Let's say we like this,
we like what we see, so we can just update and
then enjoy the moment. We can just drag and drop it
here so we can resize it. It's just going to
be within the ship. All right, you can see
enjoin the moment. Then it flies to this one. Let's say Diving Adventure,
Add another text, another title clip, and
then we'll come here and say Select Text. We can see Diving
Adventure Adventure. All right, so we can click out Resize It and bring
it down here. Then we can click
and create this. And you can see
Diving Adventure. We can just easily
and drop it here. We can resize it to fill
up the area that we want. Let's say diving adventure here. Then we can see it,
okay, the jumping in. And you can see Diving
Adventure over here. We can say Enjoying the
View, the Sea View. We can just add another text. You can say add another title. And then we can click Sea View. All right. Click and
bring this down. You can always create the file, so you can just drag and drop
it across this view, okay? You can see everything
is now coming up, okay. So you can see enjoying
the sea view, okay? So very nice and professional. So you can see over
here we can decide to add the transitions
across by just heating. And we'll be able to see, we can add simple
simple transitions. So welcome to Langkawi
and the types typewriting effect and just did this item, okay, so welcome to Lanai. Welcome to Lanai. Then it moves to this. Now, enjoying the moment, the diving adventure, and then we have the
Enjoying the sea. Okay, that is basically
how to add text. In each case you'll be able to see the different properties, you can always select on any and you'll be
able to update. Just right click and
say Edit Clip and you can be able to
update it over here. All right? Okay. If you don't want to have
a background you can, you can just come over here
to background and then you can remove the background
in total so you can update. And you can see your text is
now without a background. When you try to play it here, you'll see that it doesn't
have a background. Enjoin C. You can just go to
enjoin C, you can see it. All right, so let's
say we delete this one and then we
drag and drop this. Okay? So we'll just adjust
it, we can bring it down. Let's try enjoy the sea. You can see enjoying the
sea without the background. Okay, so basically
this is how to adding text and play around
with it within life. I hope you enjoy this video. In the next class, we are
going to look at how to add animations to our
text and our videos. Okay, next time, thanks
for watching and I look forward to seeing you
in the next class. Bye.
11. Adding Animations and Keyframes: In the last class, we talked
about how to add text and titles in our video
clip within life. And in this class,
we're going to look at how to add
key frames and animations to add a
keyframe animation. Let me show you example. We could add key frames and animations to text
and even to videos. Let me show you an example
of what I'm talking about. Take a look at this text. Let's say we have
this text slide in and then slides down. That's interesting were put
in some animations to it. So I'm going to show you how I would slide in and
then slide down. I think that's for perfect,
but we can use it. You can add any kind of
effects that you want. But then to add an
animation to a text like this one that is quite
plain enjoying the sea view, you have to select the text. Okay, If you have any issues, you can always go ahead. This is enjoying the sea view. So you can see here,
enjoying the sea view. You can select and we
can come to edit clip. And at this moment I don't
want to have any background, so I can select Come to
Background over here. And I don't want to
have background, so it's going to be
zero background. So I could just update. So I've just updated it. So when we try it, you'll see that it is now
without a background. Yeah. Very clear. So I want
to put in an animation. As it is coming in,
I want you to slide in and then to slide down. Okay, So to put an animation, you have to come to the
bottom left over here, you can see this pink
color, this pink circle. You can just sit on it to
put in that animation, that transition that
we used to have. Okay? But this time around, it's not going to be
the normal transition because we're going
to add some things. So you select the transition, you can come over
here instead of wipe. You can select and go to slide. You can see slide over here, it is coming from
this direction. This is the starting point. And then I want it to
stay at the center, okay? You should come in,
this is the end point. Should come in. And then
it should stay here. You can vary the transparency
from here and you can set the composition track to
maybe V one automatic case. I usually leave it at automatic, so it comes in from the side and then it
stays at the center. That's the effect, I'm
going to give it here. All right, so let's
play it and see, let's have a preview of
what I'm talking about. It slides in and then
it stays on the truck. So I want to add another
one at the end of it here. So hover over to the bottom right and
you can still click. And you see we've added
another transition. So you can come over and until our cuso turns into
this horizontal sign, we can try to drag. So we have nearly similar
size of an exit transition. We can select transition
can come over here, we can put it a slide. Also can put a slide. Then right now, the starting
point is at this point, because it's already
on the screen, I want it to slide down. Once we put it here, it's going to slide down.
Let's have a preview. One more time to come over here, and then we can click
and see it slides down. Now one effect I want to add is I want to make it a
typewriter effect. You can come back to the text right click and go to edit clip. And then we can come over here, select the text, we
can come down here. I want to add a bit
of a shadow to it. And maybe come down here and add the typewriter
effects like we've explained. In adding the text, you have
to select whether you want it to go by character or by
word or by line, as you saw. So I choose by character
and I just opt it. So let's take a look
at our final effect on our text that
we've just added. Okay, so you can see it comes in okay with the
typewriter effect. And then it slides
down. All right. So that's one of the perfect
things that you can do. So the next thing is I want to show you how to
add key frames. Like I said, key frames
can be added to text, we can add it to videos, and sometimes you can add
it to even give file. Let's try something
that can make our animation looks
perfect and nice. Let's try something
like a butterfly. To get a butterfly, I, I do come to this
website Pika by, and you can just
search for butterfly. I found this one very
interesting and I kind of like it and just
go ahead and download it. It's very easy to download with the link in the
description also, so you can just get
it and download it. Once you download, you can
just easily drag and drop it. Let's say from my downloads
over here, you can see it. This is the one
I'm talking about. You can just drag and drop
it into the timeline. So you can see we just
drag and drop it. So let me show you what I'm
trying to do with this. So as you can see that this is just flying and
it's just going to be, keep flying in one place. It's going to stay, it's big
and it stays in one place. I want to animate it
in such a way I use key frames to fly from
this point to this point. Probably come back here and then come back here.
So let's try that. The first effect that we need to put is you come to
effect over here. And you can just
search for transform. And you can see here transform, you can just drag and drop it. Once you drag and drop
a transform effect, you can see the dialogue over here and the
effect and composition. Truck start and then
you can come over here and you notice one thing that when I'm
moving my playhead, it is equally moving
in the effect and control and equally in
the project monitor, it's moving the symptoms, so don't get confused with it. Okay. So we can move across. Okay. Very easy.
One thing we need to understand is that the Ge
file is too big over here. So we can reduce the sizing
to make it a bit smaller. So we can come over here
to the size and just drag, this is making it
bigger to the left, so we can see now
it's a bit smaller, averagely, this is okay. So we can position it, we can change the position in the x axis. We can just drag it. Just select and use your mouse
to just move to the side. And then in the wire this can go equally drug and have
it to this point. All right, so let's say we have it here and I'm
happy with what I have. I need to rotate it so it face this direction or I can make
it to stay at this point. Let it fly to this point and then to this point
I'm back here. So there's this key
frame timeline. I don't know whether it's
called key frame time line, so we just call it key
from time line. For now. This is signifying the key frame effect that
you're going to have. So let's start from
the beginning, where the butterfly
is at the beginning. So let's add a key frame here. You can see we can click
here to add a keyframe. Click here to go to the
previous key frame, to the next key frame, and copy and past key frames. These are just simple simple
effects that you can master. Now let's add a key frame. At the beginning, we
added a key frame, and then from here I want it to fly from here to this point. I'm going to move move my
playhead to this point. At this point I want Ber
fly to fly to this point. So I can just use my so I can add another key frame or with just that
single movement, it's going to add
another key frame. So you can see I've
added another key frame, and now I'm going to move
in the wide direction. So it's going to move up, okay, it's going to come up. All right, so once it is here, now the next thing is
I wanted to rotate. I'll face this direction
and then fly to this point. So I move my cursor
to the next point. Maybe up to this point
I wanted to fly here. So I can just go
over and select. Then we can add a key frame. All right, add a key frame and then we can come over
here and rotate. A key rotation is key flammable, so we can rotate it to
first to face here. Okay, so I think
facing here is good. And so I wanted to fly. So we move with the axis. Okay? So we use
the axis to move. We keep moving it until it
gets to that ending point. All right, we just
move it to the end. All right, this is here. If you like, you
can have a preview. But then I want it
at the end point to fly back to the
original position. We can come back here and add another key
frame from here. What I want is let's
create another key frame. And I want it to rotate
and face this direction. Rotation, this Tim face here. I wanted to fly back here. So we can just go
ahead and okay, so it's going to be in
the negative direction. In the is also should come down So I can come
down to this point. I wanted to come back here
in the last keyframe. So let's have a preview
of what we've just done so you can understand
what I'm saying. It's going to fly from here to this point and
then to this point, and then back to
the starting point. It is flying to that
point and it rotates back to this point and
then back to this point. I think you get the idea.
The key frames are actually there to animate the object
or the video or anything. If you haven't tutorial also, you can use that
to zoom in out of different features
and then to be able to move in different forms. If you like, you can
always come here if you want to see the
key frames clearly, you can see, you can zoom
in and you can zoom out. So you can be able to
visualize all the key frames. You can rotate, change the rotation either
from the center, or you can rotate from
any angle of your choice. And you can move the key frames. Right now, it is moving slowly. If you wanted to move fast, you have to move the key
frames a bit closer. So when you try to
start the movement, you see it's going to
move a bit faster. Yeah, that's what
I'm talking about. It moves a bit faster. So
basically this is key frames. I think it does it on this
tutorial how to add key frames and animations to your text
and even video or give files. Hope you enjoy this video. In the next class, we are
going to look at how to add coloration to
your video footage. So until next time, thanks
for watching and I look forward to seeing you
in the next class. Bye.
12. Adding Colouration: Hello and welcome back. In the last class, we
talked about how to add animations and key frames
within our clips in life. In this class, we're going to look at how to add coloration. Basic coloration. We
can say coloration, or we can say color
correction and color grading. Now there are a bunch of
effects that I used to add to colgate video clips within life. I will show you some of them. You can go ahead and play
around with them and see how you can use them
to enhance your video. So the first thing I need to do, I need to import a video into the timeline
that is a bit plain. It's very easy to edit, to add color to it,
it's a bit plain. Okay, let me see this one. I can just struck and drop this. Okay? So you can see in the
video it's a bit plain. It's practically plain
colors a row footage, you can see, we
can carry it out. Editing here. There are
a number of effects. Like I said, you can
always come to effects here and you can see
different effects. The first one I used to
add is the white balance can come over here and you can just set for white balance, and you'll see it over here. White balance elements, you
can just drag and drop it. Once you drop an effect, you'll be able to
see it over here. So the first thing
is you can manually, on your own, alter the
color temperature. From here you can just
select and drag and move, and you can see it's
increasing the temperature. Okay. So what I
usually do at default, or you can come down
to increase warmness, or if you go to the right, you can see it's
increasing the coldness. But then what I usually do, I usually use the color picker. Okay? And then you can choose a neutral color
within the video. Click and just sit on it. And it's just going to give you that a little bit of a shift. So you can click and you
can select anywhere. Let's say we check
this, um, a color, you can just heat and you
can see it just gives it a little bit of a
color adjustment. That's a neutral place. You're free to
choose in any place. If you want to choose any
other place, you can choose. And it's going to give it
that a little bit of touch. And you can vary the
temperature sensitivity from here, right? So you can increase bringing some coloration to
it by sliding down. Or you can increase
the coldness by by going up directly into the, so you can see it's not a bit colder. That is white balance. You can go ahead and
play around with it. The next feature or next
effect that I usually use is called the Technicolor. You can see it over here. Technicolor, we can
just drag and drop it. If you want to drag and drop it, you can drag and drop it up. For demonstration purpose, let's remove the white balance. Now our video is back to the preview on
the male one, Okay? As it was in the beginning, you can just search
for technicolor. You can see it here and you can just drag and drop it here. Once you drop, you have
these two controls, the blue, yellow axis. You can see even
by mere dropping, it has improved the
color of the video. You can just select and you
can go ahead and increase, good towards the right and you're increasing
the temperature. Or you can see it now a
bit better or you can come down a bit to lower
the lightness. Okay, You can just
take it up a little bit and you can see the color is now popping
very, very clear. So you can see, it's
now a bit clearer. So this is the beauty of
technical color. It's very good. And you can see the
before and the after. There's a lot of improvement here. So that's the second one. I do have another one
which is the levels. I do add levels. Okay. Sometimes I do add
levels to add levels. You can remove this if you want or you can just go
ahead and search for it levels and you can
see color levels. You can come to this level, this is one I'm using, so you can just drag and drop. Right now we have two effects. We have the technicolor and then we have the levels over here. These are levels. This is the different things
you can adjust. Let's say at this
moment. We can disable the technicolor and then we can make adjustments
to our levels. You can just move
across E. You can see this is making it a bit
darker and come down a bit. Bring it down and you
can see the clarity. It's now a bit clearer. So you can just go ahead
the input white level, you can also adjust. All right, so this
gives you more whites. I think I kind of like this one. You can see the
before and the after, so you don't have to
touch everything. Just get the ones that you are interested in,
like the gamma. And you touch the gamma tires to just give you
a boost a little bit in the sharpness you can see it's not a bit sharper and
it's very, very clear. So depending on which of the
features you prefer to use. I think I kind of like this one because you can see the before
and you can see the after. Everything is now pop clear. So it's all up to you to
choose which one to use. So that's the levels
that we've just added. If another one that I do have is the lift gamma gain
control or effect, so let's say we search for it. Yeah, so you can come
to lift gamma again. This one you can
just drag and drop. Luma lift again. So you can just drag and drop. You see like you can disable
the levels over here. So you can disable this. Now back to normal except
some little increase. You can come down here and
you can play with the lift. You can see you can play around
with the lift over here. It's now a bit too dark. You can just, then you can
increase, decrease. Okay. So as you play around with it, you will now be able
to, on your own, be able to adjust and see
what works best for you, so that you can
adjust accordingly. So you can see this one,
I think it's better. So we can play around with the grammar effect.
Bring it down. Okay, so you can see now the image is coming out
and popping up clearly. You can see it's very clear. But then you can adjust
the others as well. You can just play
around with it. You can see it's
now becoming much more clear and everything
is now better. Okay? It's all boils down to you, but let's add the last
one that I used to add. We can close on all
of this on our own, then we can add the last one. The last one I used to add
is the lift gamma gain. This one, lift gamma again, so you can drag
and drop it here. All right, so you
have these wheels, the one that I used to play
around with is the Gamma. So you can just select
drag and move it away towards the yellow color if you want to have
more of the yellow. Or you can move towards
the blue color. Coming down to the white
point, I think is good. You cars, The lightness, you can increase the
lightness from here. So this is too high. You can come over here, bring down this left
a little bit, okay. You can see the color
is now a bit better. So this is now much better depending on which one
you prefer to use. But I kind of like this one and I like the lofty coloration. Everything is pop clear. Okay. So it's all
boils down to you. What effect do you want to use? Just master it and
then see how you can use it to improve your
old coloration within Tf. So I think this brings us to the end of this
class on how to do color correction and color
grading within life. The next class, we're going
to look at how to add and manage sound within life. Okay? Until next time,
thanks for watching, and I look forward to seeing
you in the next class, Bye.
13. Adding and Managing Audio: In this class we're
going to look at how to add audio and manage audio. Within a live to add audio, you can search for
audio from anywhere. Maybe reality free audio. Sometimes you can get
them from C to pizza Be, sometimes you can get a lot
of reality free audios. So for example, you
come over here and you can search for music directly. And you can just search
for music and maybe probably come over here and
put in background music. These are reality free
audio tracks that you can download and use
according to your content. If you are interested
in sound effects also you can search for it and
you can see a lot of them. Daylight, Joker Boy, and so on. A lot of sound effects
you can find here. All you need is just to come over here and click on Download. And you can download
it free of charge. You can play to have a preview
of that particular effect. Yeah, so you can just be specific about what
you're looking for. Alternatively, you can go
to Youtube library also. It's available and it's free
of charge for reality free. So I've imported one from the beginning where
we imported audio. When we started
importing our media, I imported this Abran music. So all you need
is just to select and define the length
of the audio you want. For example, you can use
the in and out point. Maybe we can define
this at the point, then we can select a more to this point and define
this as the out point. Okay? So you can drag
and drop this into the timeline so you can see
it starts from the beginning. The ones are not really audios because they are plan,
they don't have any audio. So we can just select on group
and remove them directly. Select and delete selected items the same way here on group. And then we can select
and delete selected item. We can just move this
to the beginning. All right, so we can see it. If you don't want this
background this truck, we can just easily delete it. Okay. You can see okay to this. I'll delete it now. Have our audio inserted beneath all our footage that we're
working with, a dual. We'll have to end
it at this point. So we can use the Reso tool. You can use the
Reso tool over here and we can just click
to create a cut. And then we're back to
the selection tool. We can select this right click
and delete selected item. And then we have our Odio now
already in the background. So you can play, Yeah, I think this kind of looks good. But then we have
to kind of create something like a
fading into the Odio. You can navigate a
dual to the top left. You can see this circle,
you can just click on it. And you can see it
just created the fade in into the background, okay? So you can just adjust by
selecting and dragging. You can see you are
adjusting the inflow up to the point that you want the
whole music to go loud, or you can manually
do it over here. From here you can see you can adjust like we've
explained earlier on. Okay. I think I like the
manual adjustment sometimes. I think it's okay at this point. And you can create an out point. Fed out also from here, just click move
to the top right, you can see this red circle. You can just click on it
and it created the fed out. Again, you can manually
adjust or you can adjust using this right now in the Effects and
Composition stack, you can see you have
to fed in and fed out, which you can manually
adjust on your own. Now the volume, if you play, what this means is if you
play from the beginning, you see it starts
from zero and then it gains the volume
up to the highest. All right? But if you notice
the volume is too high, so you have to use an effect
called volume over here. So you can just go
ahead type volume and you can see it over here. It's key flammable, so you can just drag and drop
it into the audio. And you can see the
volume control over here. Now it is key flammable, which means that
if at some point I want to increase the
level of the Odio, right now it is at
the global scale, you can just reduce or
increase at the global. So you can see now if I reduce, it is reducing
everything in there. If I increase also, it is increasing everything,
the entire volume. Okay? If you want to
make it keyframable, at some point you want
to have higher odio. At some point you want to have a lower audio like for example, let's try to make
something meaningful. Let's inside a truck
below instead of under. It's just going to
be an audio truck. Just an audio track, I
will say okay to this. All right, So volumes are
generally key frameable, so in that if you
want to increase some certain section
of the audio clip, you can increase
some certain section in terms of volume and you can reduce some
certain sections in terms of volume as well. So assuming at this point I want to create a
keyframe on this, my audio, the background music, I can just come over here and we can just
create a keyframe, adding key frame,
and then probably we can shift a little bit and
add another key frame. Okay, so from this point I
want the sound to go down. Okay, so let's say. I wanted to go down. Let's go back to the
previous key frame, this one I wanted my sounds
to go down a little bit, so it goes down like
this to this point. Probably then I wanted to remain at this volume for this much
longer up to this point. So I add another key frame, and from this another point
I add another key frame. And then from this point
I wanted to go up, okay, back to normal. So you can see it
created this small sag, okay, where there's
going to be less volume. You can see it just dies out. And then maybe I can have
another sound effect. For example, I can
come over here, Let's go back to the bean. Let's say this one,
there's a volume in it. Okay, let's say this one, there's a sound effect in it. So let's say we want some
section of it from this point. Let's say this is an
point and we'll move inside, let's say at this point. And let me catch like two or
three of the sound effects. And then I fell out point. So we can drag this
and drop here. Okay, let's zoom this out. All right, so what I want is I want to use this sound
effect from this. Let me ungroup this
and then delete this section. All right. So we can use the sound
effect of this guy at this moment where
we silence or where we lowered the volume so
we can kind of hear the sound effect on. Yeah, if you can still increase the volume
so you can still hear, but the main idea is to lower the volume at this point
here. The sound effect. Yeah, if you like, you can still select and still come back here. Still try to see. Let's go to the next key frame and then we can raise
the volume a little bit. Okay, Raise it a little bit, so we can still go to the previous key frame and
then raise it a little bit. Also we have a flat volume
increase, something like this. Let's hear it one more time. There'll be the sound effect and then the background music. I think you get the
message. We have the background music
and we still have the sound effects going on because music sound
effects are very, very efficient when it comes
to working with volume. So it's creating
professional looking videos. Okay, so this is about volume. You can add anything, You can play around
with the sound effects, you can play around
with different, you can add keyframes, and you keep playing around
with them as you wish. Okay, so I think this does it on this tutorial on how to
add background music, how to add sounds in general, and manage them within King
Life on the next time. Thanks for watching
and I look forward to seeing you in
the next class. By.
14. Adding Effects: In the last class
we talked about how to add manage audio
within Talife. And in this class
we're going to look at how to add effects. Okay, Effects are
actually very useful and important depending on
what you're trying to create. You can search for any
effect and make use of it. So usually to search
for any effect, you can come to the
effect tab over here. Okay, so once you're
on the effect tab, you can see there are different types of effects that you can see from alpha mask and
key to audio effects. For example, you can
see different kind of effects that you can just
easily drag and drop. These are audio effects and these are blow and
sharpen effect. If you have any
section or any clip, any part of the clip
that you want to blow, you can just use
it and blow. Okay? So there are different
types of blow. Which one do you want to use? But you can do average blow
or you can do Gaussian blow. Most of the time I do blowing, I use the Gaussian blow. All you need is just a
drag and drop and effect. And once you click on
that particular clip, you'll be able to
see the effect that you've added over
here. All right? So you can come
down here and you see the Gausha blow
that you've just added. So you are now to increase
the intensity because everything is going to be increased across
the entire clip. So if you want to
increase the intensity, you can just drag
and you can see the blur nature is coming up. Okay? So you can just increase or decrease
depending if you have any sensitive place within a document that you specifically don't want people to read, you can use this blow effect. Okay? So you can see
it very, very nice. So depending on what kind of blow effect you
are looking for. So again, if you want to have let the box shape adaptive blow. If you want to use
shape adaptive or you want to use sharp, sharp or smart blow, okay, you can use any of these. Then you can go ahead and
search for any effect. Like we have the equalizer
and filter filter effects. You can easily drag and drop a particular
effect into your work. Okay? So you can see them. Low pass filters and
low shell filters, you have a lot of them here. Again, if you want
these again noise, if you want to use the video noise generator
or video noise reduction, you can search for noise. For example, you can
see noise over here. You can just drag and drop in cases when you have
a clip that have some noise that you've
recorded and you are anticipating that there's
some noise are within. So you can easily use
that to create a noise, to noise that particular clip. Most of the effects
that you're going to use that you require
a searchable, you can always search for them. Sometimes you may want to add maybe cropping
effect, you want to crop. Some section of your video, you can just go
ahead and search for crop and you can see edge
cropping or crop by padding. I usually use the edge cropping so you can just drag and drop. And you come down here
and you see the cropping. So now what this does is you can crop from the top if you
want to crop from the top. You can see your video is
being cropped from the top. Or you can crop from the left. If you want to crop
from the left, you can see it very easily
and you can just adjust according to what you are trying to create, based
on your creation. You can see from the
right the same way. Okay, so if you have a specific cropping section or area that you want to crop, you can just go
ahead and crop it. So the same thing, you
can add any effect. I've just shown you
how to add coloration, so which means you can add different kind
of color effect. And the most useful one that I always use is a
transform feature. You can either search for it or you can just come to transform. You can see it over
here, transform. You can just drag and drop
it on a particular clip. And you can select, be able
to see the transform feature. This is an effect that you can use to increase the sizing of your video rotation if you
have that effect in mind. If you want to
centralize accordingly, you want to change to position
based on x and y axis. You can do all that from
here. It's all up to you. You can search for any effects according to what you
are trying to create. Alternatively, if you
want to add an effect, you can still write click
on a particular clip. Once you write click
a particular clip, you have a number of effects. You can copy an effect
and paste the effect, or delete the effect
if you want to. So for example here I
can delete this effect and I can copy the
one inside here. You can copy all of this effect, You can just copy
and then you can come over here and
once you're here, you can easily paste
that particular effect to paste effect or you can
delete the effect if you want. It's very nice to have
effects that you can add and to beautify your
work, that's that portion. And so sometimes you may need to add volume
in terms of audio. You may need to add
some volume effect. We've talked about volume
in the previous class. We've talked about how you
can add volume and how you can reduce the intensity
of your volume, and so on. One thing that we didn't show is the audio mixer,
which we didn't show. So the audio mixer
is divided into two. We have the audio one, this is signifying
the track number. Okay? If you have named it, you'll see it based
on the numbering. But this is audio one, this is audio two and this
is the master. This is the global effect. So whenever you
change anything here, it's going to be
effective on only do one, this is going to
be only on audio two and this is
going to be global. Okay, so this is
the master. Right? So one last thing
to pay attention to is that effects
are classified. This is all the
effects that we have. And when we click on any, we'll be able to see the
sub effects that we have. But then they are classified
according to video effects. You can see them over here. All the video effects
are leveled here. If you want to see all
your audio effects, we'll be able to see
all audio effects, the reverb, echo, and delays. You can see them here.
Classified. If you want to see from template, from available templates, you'll be able to
see them from here. Maybe the ones that you've
downloaded from online. Okay? And then if you
start any template, you'll be able to
see it over here. If you start any, you
make it your favorite, be able to see it over here. And you can download more
effect also from life, okay? So this can take you
directly into life. And you have a
number of effects. For example, zoom transition,
the glitch transition. You can see any of them. This is the LMS HSL coloration. All you need is just to click on this install and it's going to be installed
on your system. The color corrections, these are effects that you can easily install and you can find them
over here once you go back. Okay, so a lot of them, so you can just go
ahead and explore and see which ones you want to give a try and which ones you actually want to
download and install. So it only takes a
second to install all of this in your system
and if you can find it, you may need to
sometimes restart Kalif to be able to have access to
the effect at you download. Okay, so I think this does
it on this tutorial on how to add effects to your
video clips within Talife. I hope you enjoy this video and the next class
we're going to look at how to increase
and decrease clip speed. Okay? Sometimes you may need
to increase this clip speed, or sometimes you may
need to reduce it. Or sometimes you may need
to fast track a section of the clip or slow motion in
some section of the clip. I'm going to show you how to do that in detail in
the next class. So the next class. Thanks
for watching and I look forward to seeing you
in the next one. Bye.
15. Changing Clip Speed: In this class we're
going to look at how to speed or slow a clip within this could happen both at the audio clip and
at the video clips. Okay, so just demonstrate
how to do that. All you need is just a
drag and drop a clip, particularly that you want, that you want to increase or
decrease the speed of it. So for example, let's say we
have this duct clip here. Let's say we want to deal
with something like this. All right, you can see
the preview and we'll be able to see how they
are moving under the sea. When you want to
speed up a clip, you can just write clip on that particular clip
that you want to speed. And you can see come over
to change speed over here. Now this is the hundred percent. You can see the clip
speed classified as 100% which means this
is the normal speed. Okay, this is the normal speed. If you play it, it's
going to play normally. But then when you try to
increase this to 115, to 150 or thereabout, you've increased it by half. Okay. Um, let's say you
can manually put it also, if you want to put it manually, you can put it 150% And once
you click on Okay to this, you can see automatically the length of the video clip has reduced because you've
reduced it by 12.1 of four, and then you have
increased speed. So let's try it and see the intensity or how fast
this is going to be. So you can zoom this
a little bit so we can see very clearly
where I'm talking about. All right, so this is it, it's the same length but only that they're going to
move a bit faster. So you just take
a look at, yeah, this is it. Yeah, this is it. They move a bit faster than the other one than the
way they were before. You can increase
and change it more, you can make it 200% which is
going to be 100% increase. They're going to move
pretty faster and exceed the length of the
clip has already been. So you can see the Enter pretty fast and they move so fast. Okay, this is one way
to increase the speed. In terms of the video, let's say we want to
reduce because all of the increase or decrease and the speed that we are making, if you want to
decrease also you can just write click and
see change speed. And you come down here and lower it to maybe less, say 50. Let's say 50. Okay, 50
is good, so let's heat. And you can see the length has already been increased
automatically. What signifies
that there's a lot of the length of the entire
thing has been increased. And then they're going
to be in slow motion. So you can see even the entrance is going to be in slow motion. They move in pretty slow. You can see, yeah, they're moving slow
and that's cool. This is another way if
you want to speed up a particular section and slow down a particular
section within this, you can do that by cutting, creating a cut within
the clip sole, change the speed and let's
bring it back to 100. Let's bring it back to 100. And now we have
the exact length. So assuming we want to speed up the entrance
into the sea, and then we create a court here. All right, so we just create a simple, create a simple court. Then it continues to move until it gets to
somewhere around here. Somewhere around
here when they hold their hands and start flowing. So let's say we create
a court here from here. Let's say we get back
to the selection tool. So we'll right click and
then change speed of this. This part, we're going
to slow it down. If you want, you
can slow it down. Okay, This part will
increase the speed, let's say to 200, 200. All right. So let's say we
increase to 200 so the speed, they're going to be pretty fast when it comes to the entrance. Yeah, they enter pretty
fast and then they're going to start flowing through
to the other edge. Let them move slower here. Okay, so let's try
to separate them. So let's select change speed
and let's say we go to 70. All right, let's
say okay to this. And you can see we just increase the length so they're
going to go on slow mo. Okay, This is slow motion so you can see we
can connect them. And then the last part is
we're going to increase it, so they go pretty fast. Okay, so it change and
they will make it 200, so it comes smaller, and then they move faster. So you can just have a preview of what we're just
talking about. So let's say they
enter pretty fast, and then they move slower, and then they get to move
pretty fast under the sea. So that's one way that's
on the video clips. We can do the same on
the audio clips as well. Just write click and you can do the same changing of speed. Just say change speed and
you're free to increase it to 200 and it's going to move
pretty fast. All right. So you can see that the
length of the audio has also been reduced the same way when it comes
to the increase, you can still write click and change the speed and make it maybe 90 or 80 and then
it's going to reduce. So in the same way you can reverse the clip,
you can reverse it. Instead of going forward, you should start
moving backwards by just seeking on
that particular box. So I think this does it
on this tutorial on how to increase or decrease the
speed of a particular clip. I'p enjoy this video. In the next class we're
going to learn how to add subtitles into your video
clips within Catalyze. Until next time, thanks
for watching and I look forward to seeing you
in the next class. By.
16. Adding Subtitles: In the last class
we talked about how to change the clip
speed within Cad life. And in this class
we're going to learn how to add subtitles. Okay. Subtitles will
come in different forms. You can add them on your own and be able to customize
them accordingly. So, let's start by inserting the clip that I want to
add the subtitle on. I've recorded something very short clip and I
want to import it. So to import we can
just go to audio file. Okay, so I've recorded this, just drag and drop it
into the project in, and again I can
just select it and just drag and drop the entire
thing into my timeline. All right, so let's play
a preview of its cost. All right, so that's how it is. You can listen to it
directly he cost. Today, I'm going
to illustrate to you how to use the subtitle. All right, so let's
see how we can add the subtitles to this very clip. And it's going to come
under this video. It's just for
demonstration purpose, so we can just go ahead. All right, so to add subtitles, you can come down to the bottom
right over here and just click and you'll be able to add directly by hitting
on this plus sign. To add, you can just
hit on this plus sign. You can just see the
subtitle over here. And you can see the sample
of it at the top here. Now you're free to move this. You can move it to any location. For example, we're
starting at this point. You can just quickly move it, then you double click
inside and start typing. Let's hear the preview of
what we're talking about it. So let's say I type hello. I'm Dr. Hello, I'm Dr. His
struct of this course, so it stops at this point. So you can just come
over here and drag. So you just meet
up at this point. So let's have a preview of
what we've just recorded. This hello is supposed to have a double L. And then from here we're just going to
continue to use this. All right, so how to
use this ho title. We stop here, so
we can come over here and click on
this plus side. And again we can just
drag and move it. Close. All right, close here. This where it starts, we
can just double click. So we say today I'm going to illustrate how to use
the subtitles that, so let's hear it one more time. Today I'm going to
illustrate to you how to use the subtitles life. Okay, so within
taller this is done. And you can come
over here and adjust the length until it just fits in directly to where we want. All right, so we can go ahead and listen to the other part. This is just a
demonstration using live. All right, so let's say this
is just a demonstration. So you can come over back to the subtitles and
you can click to add. So this is just a demonstration
of using Tal Life. Actually you can keep adjusting and keep typing,
reduce the length. Let's have a preview of
what we've just entered one more time to see how
powerful this is going to be. Stop this calls, I'm going to use the titles
within Tal Perfect. I think this is okay.
But then if you want, you can add other features. Like for example, you can come
over here to this control, you can click on this letter. If you want, you can
click on this letter, and then you have access
to the custom fonts. If you want to change
the phone style, you can change different type of font style here
depending on you. If you want to have custom fonts and you want to have
customs font size, you can change the sizing
from here as well, or you want to have
custom font color. You can change the
coloration from here. You can just select.
And you could easily change the text
coloration directly. But I think the one on
the video is kind of good and I like it if you want to use custom color, outline color, you can use also custom
outline size and custom shadow position and so on and even
opaque background. Okay? You can change
all of this from here. Now once you're done,
you can click out and this is another
way to add the text. Okay? You can add it
directly inside here. So you can just
select. And then you can be able to type
indirectly here. I'll be able to see
the timing over here. And you can define the point and outpoint where you
actually want to use. And you're free to delete any
section of the recording. Okay. But then I
kind of like the default text features
that we have, the phone styling and so on. I like it, so I'm just
going to leave it. So in a nutshell, this is basically how to add subtitles into your video
clip within Cadillac. I hope you enjoy this video. In the next class, we're
going to look at how we can generate a simple video
editing from scratch, okay? Using Cade, we'll
create a new project. And then we'll create
a simple project, video editing project
directly from scratch. And then let's see how
it's going to look like. So until next time,
thanks for watching, and I look forward to seeing
you in the next class. By.
17. Sample Video Editing: Hello and welcome back. In the last class, we
talked about how to add subtitles within your
clips in T life. And in this class we're
going to look at how to create a video from scratch. Maybe a very short video. Okay demonstration using some of the features that we've used
throughout the tutorial. I'm going to demonstrate
to you how to use some of the features to
create a very simple video. So to start with, let
me empty my timeline. From here, we can write, click and control it to select
everything and write, click and see, delete
selected items. And now we have an
empty timeline. So all you need,
you can refer back to the clips that
we have loaded. At the topian, we have a number
of clips in both videos, audios and the audiobout. We can start by just dragging and dropping
the clips that we have. For example, we have this
audio clip of this swimming, this guy swimming
under the water. So you can just select if
we want the entire section. Okay, like we have here. We want the entire thing. We
can just drag and drop it. And I think it's okay to have the entire thing and then we can have some part of it maybe
are seen something like this. All right, so I don't
want the audio section, so we can ungroup this. Delete this item. So we have this and I think we don't want to use the
entire thing here, so I think the 4
seconds is okay. We can come to the
edge and we can trim up to this playhead point. Okay, then we may want
to add some more. So let's say we have
this video also, and we can just go
ahead and group them and delete this item. Okay, And this one also. We don't want to have
the entire thing, so we can just select some section of it,
let's say from here. And just create a cut over here. Let's use our radio,
create a cut. We'll move to maybe
123, 4 seconds. And then we'll create
another cut here. All right, so let's say we
create another cut here. And then we can get back
to our selection tool. We can delete this
section, Select, delete item, select here also, and delete the item. And then we can
either rug and move, or we can right click and remove space and it now
automatically clogs. Okay, then we can add
some more points. We can select this video. We can select this video, instead of lightly
doing it on the top, let's move it over here. So let's move and
select an point. So let's say we have this point, and then we move here. We have this out. 0.4 seconds, 5
seconds, it's okay. We have this out point, and we can just drag and
drop it here as well. All right, so we have
this number of clips, we can drag this
one also like it. Okay. We can make this
at the beginning, assuming I don't want
this to be here. So we can select delete
the entire item. We can just go ahead and select the area, the
region that we want. Let's see here. I like
it from this point. We create an point here. And then we can move
up to this point. So we can see we create
an outpoint here. Instead of dragging
and dropping, I want to put it at
the beginning to showcase that they are
moving pretty fast. So I can just come over here and we can see we
should add it here. So we can click to Add. And you can see it's been added into our clip from
the beginning, right? I think this is quite too long. So we can make a
selection, let's see here. And create another,
can create a cut here. And then we can use the letter S to get
back to selection tool, click and delete
the selected item. And you can select or remove this piece and
everything is now back. So we can ungroup this so that we can remove
the audio section. Okay, remove the selected. So we have very
clean transition. Okay. We can try to
see that this is now, they're moving pretty fast. And then this guy suddenly jumped into the sea
and start swimming. But then the transition, the entrance is too
far, too abrupt. So let's try to
create a transition. We can over over the top left. And just let's do this. We can move over to
the bottom and create a transition which
we can easily use. Okay, let's move
this up so we can just have a transition into
this. Come to the bottom. Just create a simple transition, which is the Fed in
then the same way here, we can create another
transition here. All right, so we can
just raise this one up so we can have
another transition, the transit smoothly in between. All right, this is it. We have all our transitions. Eclipse connected.
If you want to, we can have something like
a fed in into the video. Okay, let's make this a Fed in and then we can kick
start so you can see. It's going to fade
in into the clip. Then you see it
moving pretty fast. And then these guys jump
into the water, the sea. And then they start swimming. And then they start
viewing some animals. This one and probably
this one, this total. And then to be able to see these are some
beautiful things. Okay, we're done with the
connecting of the video clips. We can just insert
background music so you can drag and drop
and drop this here. And again we can
just come over to the last part over
here with the X two, we so bleed and just
create a cut here. Again, we can get back with the letters and
create the delete. We can enable this. I
have disabled it before, We can just remove
the selected item. We can come over here to the
top right, create fed out. And then to the left, we can create another
fading and fade out. Then we can vary the volume by coming to the effect here and searching for volume and exit over here,
dragging and dropping. Then we can lower the intensity
of the volume directly. So we can just lower it. All right, just lower it a
little bit. Let's try to play. I think it's good, but
we can increase it a little bit more so
it becomes a little bit clearer Sometimes
We may need to have sound effects maybe
demonstrating the undersea water effect. We can come back to
this being again. We have this video clip that has this sound
and I think I like it. Let's, and we're just going to use the section
that has a sign. Yeah. Think this is the section
that we're going to use. Drop this. Let's group this. All right, so group then. We're going to use
this so we can move it across from the entrance. Let's start from here and then we'll be
able to have a look. Let's say we come over here, we delete this item because
we don't need it. We delete. And then over here,
let's hear it. Yeah, I think this is good. We can create the same cot
over here with the selection. This is to create a co, then we can back to
the selection tool, we can delete this item. We now nearly our
video completed. Okay, we have, we can reduce the volume as well by
coming over to the effects. Volume can drag and drop. Can lower the volume
a little bit. Okay? Can lower it a little bit. Okay, So I think this is good. So the next thing that we may
want to add is some text. Yeah, without text, this is
going to be nearly useless. So let's add some text. We go back to our bin, come to the small arrow, we click on it and say
Add Title Over here. We can just type, for
example, welcome to Lane. Okay, so again select and then we can just
centralize the bottom. We can add some shadow
to it and then we can make it type writer effect again through the
process if you want to, you can see welcome to Langkawi
by word, by character. We can see create this
title. So welcome to Lanka. We can just drag
and drop it here. All right, so we
specify the length. Okay, want it at this beginning? Let's start from here. From the end of this fade in. Let start to welcome. Okay, so we can just
clear a preview. You can see this fading
in Welcome to Langkawi. All right, we can
add more trucks. You can insert more track, maybe audio track above this. Okay, we can now add, okay, let's say
we add some more. Okay, this is enjoyed by entering the C. Let's add
some more text over here. Let's see, adding
Diving Adventure. All right, so this
is Diving Adventure. You can select and
you can still add the same effect,
the shadow effect. I want it to be this much. We can change to position, We can still create this, and we can have a
diving adventure. We can just easily
pest it somewhere. We can use anywhere. Oh, we've added an audio clip. Supposed to be a video. Okay, so we can just undo this. Let's say we add a video
clip here inside the truck. Let's call it a video. And then we inside above, so there's going to be a truck here basically for the text. So we have the first text. Let's say enjoin diving, adventure, drag and drop here. All right, so you
can see now this is enjoying the
underwater sea, okay. This is enjoying the sea view. All right, and I think
you get the message. So let's try to play it and let's see how
it's going to look like. This is nearly complete lesia. All right, So one thing, I
didn't put it towards the end. I can put in something
like I fill out here. So we can just drag, we'll make this fed out. It's just going to
be a small fed out. Okay, from here. So we
can just make this copy. We can past it there. Okay, so if you like, you can copy and
paste the text also. You can just go ahead and edit. Okay. You can double click and then you can
say thank you for, for example, goodbye, right? Thank you and goodbye. So you can just
centralize, okay, so we can update and then you're going to see it's
going to be the end. All right, so this is basically how to create the
video from scratch. And you can add some animations also if you are
interested in adding animation like the
transitions or some animations to the text like we've demonstrated
through the video. Okay, so I think
this does it for this tutorial on how to
create a simple video clip, the scratch from the start, showcasing some of
these effects and features that we've demonstrated
through the tutorial. So you get the message. I think this does it for this tutorial. And the next class we're
going to talk about how to export our video in different
formats within our system. So until next time, thanks
for watching and I look forward to seeing you
in the next class, bye.
18. Exporting Videos in Different Formats: All right, so in the last
class we talked about how to create a video from scratch
with using Cadle Life. And in this class we're
going to look at how to export the created video that we've done earlier
on in the class. Assuming we've done created this video and we
like what we see. We've done all the editing, all the creations, all the
addition of the transition, the effects, and so on. And we have this,
our final video. Let me play it one more time. And we like what
we see. We just, we're just trying to
go ahead and export. The next thing is to export. But then before then, let
me play this so that we can see a preview of
what you've created. Yeah, so this is perfect with all the features that
we need to create. Okay, so now the next
thing is to export. To export your video, all you need is just to come to the project panel over here and you can see Render,
this red button. Just click Render, and it's
going to bring you over here. Have some number of
things to do here. The first one is to
define the output file. Where do you want this to go to? The default is where you
selected in the first place. It's going to go to
your movies, Dr. Shed movies and this is going to be the sample
video that've created. If you don't want,
you can select a different direction,
different directory. You can save it here and we can give it a name, sample video. All right, again, so we can just create a folder
and we call it export. We can just click here, and then we're going to save it inside this folder, Export. And we just save directly. Okay, we've defined
the location where we want it to be
saved in this export. And then we can go
ahead and define the, the other features. Usually the H264h 264 and MP four is the best quality
that are used so far. You can go to MP
four if you want. You can go to four K
if you're interested. But for now, for Youtube and
for most other platforms, I think H264p four
is kind of Ok. So you can export the
full project from here, or if you want to export
some selected zones, you can define it from here. All right, you can check out
more options from here and you'll be able to see
render full color range. Or if you want to render
a preview resolution, you can render preview
resolution as well. So these are some things that can enable you to
speed up your system. These are the audio
section separate file for each audio truck. If you want to
separate them, you can do that. And the speed as well. You can change the
custom quality, you can change or I leave
everything at default. If you want to add presets, there are some presets
here which you can download and you
can add directly. So the rendering duration, the estimated is going
to be 20 minutes. So you can see the estimated. You can render to the file or you can generate the script
if you're interested. For this tutorial,
you can que it also, you can check out the s if you have and if you have scripts you can
be able to see here. But for this tutorial
for this course, we just want to render to
the file that you define. So you can just go ahead and click and render to the file, and you can see here that
the rendering have started. All right, so you can see the
rendering is in progress. You just give some seconds and it's going to
render and complete. And I'm going to play
the video also at the end of it all so you
can watch it one more time. Sincerely, I appreciate
your presence and you participating in this
course up to this point. And the last class
is going to be about conclusion and
projects that you carry out to demonstrate
your understanding of how to use cattle
life as a beginner. Until next time, thanks for watching and I
enjoy the video. While it please go.
